One month after launch, Star Wars Battlefront is below 100 players

One of this year's most disappointing launches is undoubtedly the remastered Star Wars Battlefront collection. Though it seemed like a sure thing based on concept alone — updating and bundling together Pandemic Studios' beloved Star Wars Battlefront and Star Wars Battlefront 2 from 2004 and 2005 — the collection of Battlefield and Call of Duty style multiplayer shooters has been met with poor reviews due to its price and performance. As a result, the FPS game's player count is dwindling quickly, now dipping below 100 Steam users.

New idle farming sim lets you play while doing something else

I don't know about you but increasingly I find that I'm doing more than one thing at once. At any point during the day I'll be watching something while browsing the internet while a game sits in the background waiting to be alt-tabbed to. Rusty's Retirement is an idle farming sim that is tailor-made for this kind of hectic multitasking, designed to let you do other stuff while the game merrily plays away, and it's out now on Steam.

nikke stage play

A Goddess of Victory: Nikke stage play has been announced. Shows will run from June 6 to June 9, 2024, at Space Zero. [Thanks, PR Times!]

Official advance tickets are now available, though you can only apply to put your name in the lottery. Sales will end on May 6, 2024. They'll announce the winners on May 9, 2024. Regular ticket sales will open up on June 1, 2024. Prices start from 9000 JPY ($56.90) for an A seat. As a note, those in the A seat may have difficulty seeing the stage or the actresses. The SS seats at the very first three rows cost 15,000 JPY ($94.90).

Here is the cast list:

  • Alice: Saki Kitazawa
  • Anis: Hikaru Aoyama
  • Commander: Ikumi Nakano
  • Ludmilla: Nanase Kohinata
  • Marian: Naomi Majima
  • Mihara: Saki Akai
  • Neon: Kokoro Shinozaki
  • Rapi: Madoka Natsume
  • Shifty: Risa Haruka
  • Snow White: Ami Takanashi (AVAM)
  • Syuen: Miyu Kurogi
  • Yuni: Io Iori

So far, it's unknown how loyal the stage play will be to the Nikke story. However, there will be a lot of scenes in which the actresses will have their backs to the audience, especially during combat scenes. This is to recreate the "appeal" of Nikke, which is the characters' behinds when they're shooting.

Goddess of Victory: Nikke is a third-person shooter game that came out in 2022 for mobile devices. The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic future in which PMC manufacturers modify women and children into Nikkes, which are soldiers and weapons obedient to their creators. The player takes on the role of their commander, though they are sympathetic to the Nikkes' plight.

Goddess of Victory: Nikke is available for mobile devices and Windows PC.
