Not too shabby, considering that it's mostly the work of just one person, Grzegorz Styczeń of Slavic Magic, who has hopefully found time to sleep now and then between fielding bug reports and preparing the game's first patches. Styczeń understandably doesn't have much time for interviews right now - those troublesome archers aren't going to balance themselves - but yesterday I spoke to Tim Bender, CEO of Manor Lords publisher Hooded Horse, about how Styczeń is getting on. The answer, apparently, is: pretty good, because Styczeń has a healthy approach to early access development in keeping players close, without quite handing them the wheel. |

Me too! Must have been the direct influence for Sea Of Thieves' new Season 12, which launched earlier this week with a bang - from two smoking barrels! Among the additions in this season of the ever popular salty sea-dog open-world adventure are double barrel pistols. They deal less damage per shot but have higher rate of fire, and you can charge them up to fire both barrels at once. On the other end of the weapon scale are new throwing knives, capable of sneak attacks, light slashes, or, you know, throwing. You can nab any throwing knives you see lying around, too, which is fun. But honestly, the Bone Caller tool (the aforementioned jar of skeletons, which has a great Jason and The Argonauts vibe) and the Horn Of Fair Winds are are probably more useful. The winds from said horn can make your ship go faster, but can also put out fires or crowd control enemies, or for some reason make you swim faster? I don't think that makes sense, to be honest, but the horn has limited uses so as not to make you an unstoppable wind machine. |

The Playstation Blog revealed a new Warbond titled Polar Patriots is set to airdrop into Helldivers 2 on May 9, 2024, bringing new weapons and armor to the fight against tyrany. Warbonds are similar to battle passes, except that they dont expire, and they usually cost 1,000 (about $9.99) of the Super Credits premium currency.
In total, the Warbond contains three of each of the primary weapons, armor sets, capes, banners, and emotes, as well as a new grenade, sidearm, and booster. The weapons include a slower-firing SMG, a high-impact assault rifle, and a plasma rifle variant that must be charged before firing. A new booster allows you to recover from slowing effects faster, a new pistol gives you another backup weapon to try, and the new grenade combines the effects of Incendiary and Impact grenades for more immediate firestarting.

Helldivers 2 was first announced at the Sony Playstation showcase back in May, 2023. Since then it has gone on to become developer Arrowhead Games Studios' most successful game.

Good Smile Company is now accepting pre-orders for its Nendoroid of the 2024 Racing Miku. The Nendoroid comes with extra parts such as a rideable broom and car, and the hat appears to be able to be removed too.
The design for 2024's Racing Miku was produced by illustrator Mogumo, who also worked on character designs for the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury. The Nendoroid includes 2 options for faceplates, a car and broom that she can be posed on, and well as other posing accessories like a translucent stand and extra hands. Orders from the global Good Smile Online Shop will cost￥9,800 and will ship in October 2024, while US orders will cost $59.99 and ship in Q1 2025.

Back in April 2024, the 2024 Racing Miku design also appeared on a scale miniature of the Good Smile Hatsune Miku AMG racing car that was available in several sizes. Good Smile also recently opened pre-orders for a line of QSet+ figures featuring the protagonists of Persona 3, 4, and 5.

There will be a crossover event involving Ghost in the Shell in Girls' Frontline. The event will go live in 2024, but there isn't a launch date yet.
There is currently no information about the Ghost in the Shell event that'll be in Girls' Frontline. More information on it will appear on the official social media account for the game closer to launch. According to the press release, both of the series focus on action in a cyber-futuristic setting, which gives both properties a lot of synergy. We can only speculate on what the event will entail. But it may have time-limited characters, such as protagonist Motoko Kusanagi, and related items.
Ghost in the Shell is a cyberpunk media franchise that first started in 1989 with the manga's serialization. It has been a influential piece of work even in the Western world. The Wachowskis used some concepts from it in The Matrix, and James Cameron has cited it as a source of inspiration for Avatar.
As mentioned earlier, it takes place in a cyberpunk world. It follows Section 9 Chief Daisuke Aramaki and Major Motoko Kusanagi as they investigate a cyber-criminal that can hack humans with cyberbrains. The Major herself has a cyberbrain, as an accident in her childhood forced her to use a full-body prosthesis. As Girls' Frontline also features female android characters as its protagonists, the two works do have some similarities in setting.
Girls' Frontline is readily available on mobile devices. More information on the Ghost in the Shell event in Girls' Frontline will come out later.

When Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes launched on the Nintendo Switch, it had a number of issues like a serious Cooking Battle bug. However, Rabbit and Bear Studio announced that the minigame and two other game-breaking issue are now fixed via a new patch available in regions like Japan and North America.
Rabbit and Bear first promised this Eiyuden Chronicle Switch patch after the April 2024 launch. The patch notes for 1.0.4 confirmed two of the issues brought up in that announcement are now covered. One is that there will be no issue recruiting Lam after downloading the update. The other is that scoring in the Eiyuden Chronicle Cooking Battle, which unlocks after Kurtz is recruited, now functions properly.
The other problem in the patch note involved an issue that could be triggered if someone went into Nowa's room at night during a certain time, enough time will pass to become day and make a specific story event unaccessible.
Here are the full patch notes. It mentioned it's on the Switch in Japan, however I confirmed it is also live in North America as well. The end of it notes the Asia region version isn't available yet.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is available on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, as patch 1.0.4 on the Switch.

FFXIV Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida announced that it is possible the Dawntrail Benchmark took update could arrive on May 23, 2024. However, it may take longer, as timing in the tentative schedule for certain revisions could change.
Yoshida first noted that work on the character creator in the tool, which he first announced on April 19, 2024, finished on April 27, 2024. Those changes involved improving and working on environmental parameters. Yoshida said the alterations will be in the tool and expansion, and he'll be doing "final inspections after May 3, 2024."
While the team's work on the FFXIV Dawntrail Benchmark tool on things like lighting in the character creator tool is almost done, work on other issues is ongoing. Yoshida mentioned that artists and programmers are expected to finish fixing problems tied to players' reports on May 15, 2024. He then said he should go over the changes on May 16, 2024, and then the quality assurance team will do a final inspection that could be wrapped up in time for a May 23, 2024 release date.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the Dawntrail expansion will arrive on July 2, 2024. The FFXIV Dawntrail Benchmark tool is out now, and the updated version is expected to release on or just after May 23, 2024.

A Figuarts Zero figure of Byakuya Kuchiki from Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will be available for purchase. There is currently no information on the price or the release window for this figure.
The Twitter account for Tamashii Nations posted a picture of what the figure will look like. It will feature Byakuya activating the Shikai of his Zanpakuto, Senbonzakura. He's holding the bladeless hilt of his katana while there are cherry blossom petals floating around him. The stand itself resembles the petals. In Bleach, the blade of Byakuya's sword can transform into a bunch of flower petals, which he can control them from a distance.
Previously, Tamashii Nations released figures of Bleach characters like Ichigo and Hitsugaya. These figures are likely still available for purchase from storefronts like Amazon. Because Tamashii Nations works with a lot of different vendors, even people from outside of Japan should be able to purchase the products.
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War started in October 2022 and serves as a continuation of the original Bleach anime. It adapts the Thousand-Year Blood War arc from the manga, which also serves as the final story arc in Bleach. You can watch it via streaming services like Disney+.

It was announced via Hololive's official Twitter account that a series of new Children's Day themed Vtuber voice packs would be released. Beginning on May 1, 2024, special themed voice packs featuring 30 of Hololive's VTubers appeared on sale on the company's website.

Hololive is a group of Vtubers, a subsection of streamers who use a virtual avatar to represent themselves. First formed in 2017, Hololive has since added many popular streamers to its roster worldwide, including Gawr Gura, a talent participating in this event.
Each of the 30 VTubers will play the role of either teacher or preschooler, with some talents recording in multiple languages. The Hololive Mischievous Preschool Voice Pack comes in four separate packs, which are Japanese Set A, Japanese Set B, Indonesian Set, and the English Set. All sets come included with a key visual PC wallpaper.
