Japanese Demon Slayer fans have taken to X (Twitter) to complain about a political news alert appearing during the newest episode of the anime. According to reports online, there were two alerts that appeared during the episode, with one of them being an earthquake alert and the other being the political one in question.
The alert appeared during a very climatic part of the episode. In a screenshot that Jeffrey J. Hall has shared on X (Twitter), we can see the alert banner on a scene in which Tanjiro is desperately training with a wooden sword. The alert states that opposition-backed candidate Yasutomo Suzuki is sure to win the Shizuoka election.
To be very specific, while Suzuki won the election and became the next governor of Shizuoka Prefecture, the alert's announcement is not that. It uses the term "tousen kakujitsu," which means that Suzuki was projected to win at the time of the alert. He had not won yet.
Looking up "Kimetsu alert" on X (Twitter) garners many results, with most of them negative. A lot of fans were angry that a political alert appeared during Demon Slayer and noted that since they were recording the episode for later, the alert appeared in the recording as well. A user pointed out that a lot of people complaining are probably really young, but it's a good thing that the government isn't able to leverage anime or video games to stir political interest or sway anyone's beliefs. Some ask why these alerts aren't restricted to news channels or NHK.

Aquaplus has teased some new To Heart and Utawarerumono projects that'll come out in 2025. It announced this during the special livestream for the "Great Aquaplus Festival: 30th Anniversary." [Thanks, KaroshiMyriad!]
The Great Aquaplus Festival for the 30th anniversary of the studio will take place on November 9 and 10, 2024 at Yokohama Buntai. During the livestream, Aquaplus introduced it with a presentation of its past titles and series. It then leads up to footage of what the event will be like, complete with live reading of the script and a concert. It then ends with the mysterious To Heart and Utawarerumono tease, followed by the presenters expressing surprise and confusion. More information on the projects will appear on Aquaplus's website and social media accounts.
The To Heart series of adult romance visual novels started in 1997, with Leaf as the developer, started in 1997. There were also anime and manga adaptations of it. Like similar dating sims on the market, there are multiple segments in each day that'll let you choose how you want to spend your time and who you want to hang out with.
As for Utawarerumono, it is a series of adult tactical role-playing visual novels that started in 2002, with Leaf as the developer as well. Like To Heart, there were several adaptations such as an anime and manga. It takes place in a fantasy version of Japan with sci-fi elements, as opposed to the normal high school setting of To Heart.

The Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash Twitter (X) account has posted some information on upcoming DLC characters and free updates, including playable versions of Gojo and Geto as students. They're part of the "Hidden Inventory/Premature Death" DLC, which will be paid content.
The Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash DLC characters are Satoru Gojo (Student), Suguru Geto (Student), and Toji Fushiguro. When you purchase the DLC pack, you'll also get new customization items and playable costumes. One of them is a long-sleeved version of what Toji is wearing now, hiding his big buff arms. The other ones are matching outfits for Gojo and Geto. You'll also be able to play through the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death scenario. Separate from the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death DLC, there will also be a paid pack for the outfits everyone wore in the first season's first ending.
Even if you don't purchase the paid DLC, you'll have access to new characters. The free characters who'll appear in Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash are Mai Zen'in and Momo Nishimiya. Mai will have an alternate outfit in which she shows her arms. There will also be new customization items and stages. You'll also be able to fight against the three Hidden Inventory/Premature Death characters in Online Cooperation mode.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash is readily available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and WIndows PC.

An anime adaptation of The Summer Hikaru Died is in the works. The official announcement also mentioned that the new volume will come out on June 4, 2024.
There is no information on when the show will come out, as the studio is still working on it. The voice actors for Hikaru and Yoshiki changed for every trailer, so it's unknown if any of them will reprise their roles or if there will be new ones. For example, the second trailer had Hiro Shimono as Hikaru and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Yoshiki. But the fourth trailer had Junya Enoki as Hikaru and Koki Uchiyama as Yoshiki.
The Summer Hikaru Died is a slice-of-life horror series, with the first volume selling over 200,000 copies in its first three months. The story follows Yoshiki and the titular Hikaru, who are close friends in a rural Japanese town. One day, Hikaru was hiking alone when he was fatally injured. An eldritch being comes across him as he's dying and consumes him, becoming him in the process. Despite having all of the same memories as the original Hikaru, as well as the same emotions, "Hikaru" is a decidedly separate entity from the original. It follows on Yoshiki wanting to be with "Hikaru" still, but "Hikaru"'s nature, similar eldritch beings, and hunters threaten their life together.
The anime adaptation of The Summer Hikaru Died is in production and the official English localization of the manga is available via Yen Press.

A-1 Pictures confirmed a season 3 of the Mashle: Magic and Muscles anime. It also uploaded a teaser trailer for the sequel, though it features scenes and footage from the first two seasons.
Mashle: Magic and Muscles is a Japanese anime and manga series that focuses on a non-magical boy living in a magical world. Though one's magic level and skill determines their place in society, Mash can't use magic at all. He does, however, have a very powerful body and a set of incredible muscles. Using his physical prowess, he goes to prove to the world that he can become the equivalent of a valedictorian at a magical school using muscles alone.
The story started serialization in 2020 and ended in 2023, with a total of 18 tankobon volumes. The manga was highly popular and received a nomination for the sixth Next Manga Awards. As of March 2024, over 10 million copies of the manga are in circulation. A-1 Pictures started an anime adaptation of it in April 2023, with the second season ending in March 2024. It also received multiple animations for the 8th Crunchyroll Anime Awards.
Mashle: Magic and Muscles is available to stream via services like Crunchyroll. Viz Media has licensed the manga for English release. Season 3 of Mashle: Magic and Muscles is in production.

Ria, an employee for the Kuro Games localization team, stated that the voice acting for Wuthering Waves should improve after the first two story acts. The actors and actresses will no longer need to use an American accent if uncomfortable with it. [Thanks, Wuthering Waves Media!]
According to Ria, SIDE London is the company that the localization team worked with for the voice actors. This is due to Britain's geographical proximity to China compared to the USA, which would make communication easier as the time difference wouldn't be as large. This is why most of the voice actors are British. The localization team then requested that the voice actors use an American accent . While recording has finished for the first two story acts, the localization team promisd to work closer with the voice director and make sure the accents are consistent.
Replies on Twitter pointed out that the accents aren't the problem with the voice acting in Wuthering Waves. Comments suggested it is the direction. In a now deleted video, a fan pointed out how in an intense scene in which Scar is escaping, the Rover's "you're not getting away" line is delivered in a very monotone voice that doesn't suit the scene. This is less a problem with the voice actors and more a lack of direction.
Though highly anticipated prior to its launch, controversy has mired Wuthering Waves's global debut. Between issues with performance and the voice acting, as well as complaints about the story and comparisons to Genshin Impact, fans are airing their grievances on social media. To Kuro Games's credit, it's transparent with how it's going to improve the player experience going forth. The company also offered players a free standard 5-star character as as an apology.
