You'll quickly realise this a school-with-no-trousers-esque dream sequence, but the matted mess of thick black cables that carpet this dingy side-stage is painfully accurate. Pissing around with gear is roughly 70% of the band experience, in my limited experience of being in bands. This probably changes when you've got roadies or dedicated tech people, but we did not, because we were skint. And also terrible. Several hours of Deathbulge has brought me more joy than several years of being in actual bands. I had some isolated good times in some of those bands, but I'm having a very good time with Deathbulge. |

Kuro Games released details for the upcoming limited-time event coming to Wuthering Waves, the Overdash Club. The event is set to become available in the game on May 30, 2024, and it will last until June 17, 2024.
The Overdash Club event takes the form of a timed obstacle course with six different tracks available to try. Players will need to reach Union Level 14 and complete the quest "Echoing Marche" to participate in the event. Each course will contain a variety of traps to avoid and hologram tokens to pick up, with the more tokens acquired providing more rewards. Megahouse will open up a lottery for a Game Characters Collection DX figure of Loki from Persona 5 Royal. The figure costs 31,900 JPY ($203.45) and is a re-release of a figure from 2023. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]
You can apply for the Persona 5 Royal Loki figure lottery via Premium Bandai. As a note, you need to be in Japan in order to use Premium Bandai, whether it's to access certain pages or to put an order. The lottery will run from May 31 to June 17, 2024. The results of the lottery will come out in mid-June 2024, which will also be when the figure comes out. Since not everyone will get the chance to buy the figure, you only need to pay the 31,900 JPY if you win the lottery.
The Persona 5 Royal Loki figure stands at around 300 millimeters, including the left hand he's holding in the air. Loki's stand is a combination of Laevateinn and Loki's aura. The figure captures details like Loki's braid, as well as the hypnotic spiral-like design all over Loki's body.
While Loki has been a frequent Persona or demon in the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series, Loki as he appears in Persona 5 has a somewhat different design due to him being the personal Persona of Goro Akechi. Unlike the traditional Ice Loki from previous series, Akechi's can use Almighty and Curse magic, as well as cover a wide range of utility, such as using Debilitate to debuff the enemy.
Persona 5 Royal is readily available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC.

Bandai Spirits revealed an almost complete lineup of sample images of its Ichiban Kuji lottery prizes from the NieR: Automata Ver1.1a anime. The lottery will launch in late June 2024, and its prizes will range from acrylic stands and decorative plates to illustration boards and figures. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]
The company had previously published a teaser for the lottery in late February 2024. While it did announce the full prize lineup, it only shared images for three out of the nine prizes back then.
Figures of NieR: Automata's central character 2B will be the main highlights in this lottery. A full figure of 2B will be available in the highest A prize tier, and Bandai Spirits will also offer an unmasked version of the figure to the person who draws the last entry at one of the available outlets. An ArtScale bust figure of the same character will appear as the B-tier prize. People will also have more chances to get the latter by joining the Double Chance Campaign that runs until September 30, 2024.
With around a month left until the lottery's launch, Bandai Spirits has shared sample images for most of the remaining prizes. The only items the company has still yet to reveal are three "secret" entries in the acrylic stands for the G Prize, which has a total of 14 available designs.
The Ichiban Kuji lottery featuring items from the NieR Automata Ver1.1a anime adaptation will launch on June 29, 2024. A ticket in this lottery will cost 800 yen (~$5.10).

Nintendo announced a $299.99 Lego set based on The Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree will launch on September 1, 2024. This will be a two-in-one set, so one build could make it look like its The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time form, while the other will use The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild as its inspiration.
The official product page for the Lego The Legend of Zelda Deku Tree set is live. It features 2,500 pieces. For the The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time design, there is a Link minifig accompanied by Navi. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild minifigs are Link and Zelda. Someone can also build familiar other characters like a Skulltula and a Korok. In addition to the design of the tree itself changing depending on if you are going with the classic or newer look, the area around it can change too. For example, the Ocarina of Time version has some other familiar enemies around it. The Breath of the Wild photo shows Link cooking like he does in the game.

Square Enix and Applibot announced that there will be a Monster Hunter crossover event in FFVII Ever Crisis. It will begin worldwide on May 30, 2024.
A first teaser trailer appeared hinting at the Monster Hunter elements we'll see integrated into FFVII Ever Crisis. Things begin with a Rathalos appearing. Cloud then shows up to attack, and he's dressed as a Hunter and wielding a Buster Sword that resembles weapons from Capcom's series. After Cloud attacks the Rathalos, Zack appears. He's also wearing Monster Hunter armor and wielding a Buster Sword that looks like it was crafted in one of those games. After the start date of the event appears, we see a Palico appearing alongside a Chocobo.

This will mark the first crossover with a game series Square Enix doesn't own in the game. Previously, we've typically only seen events that remain within the Final Fantasy and Square Enix family. The major one involved a number of characters getting to dress up as and fight enemies from FFIX.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is available for PCs and mobile devices worldwide. The Monster Hunter FFVII Ever Crisis event will begin on May 30, 2024.

KLab announced that it will bring Bleach: Brave Souls to the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One in Summer 2024. While the Xbox version will involve Xbox One as its primary platform, the company assured that it will also be available on the Xbox Series X via backward compatibility.
Bleach: Brave Souls is a free-to-play action game where players can recruit characters from throughout the Bleach franchise via gameplay and gacha. It first appeared on Android and iOS mobile devices in 2015, but KLab gradually brought the game to PC in 2020 and PlayStation 4 in 2022.
With Switch and Xbox also newly confirmed getting support, Bleach: Brave Souls will eventually become available on all ongoing major gaming platforms. The game features subtitles in Japanese, English, French, and Traditional Chinese. The new Switch and Xbox releases will be available worldwide except in Mainland China and a few other specific regions.
KLab also revealed that it will launch a new gacha summon banner featuring Masaki Kurosaki and Isshin Shiba for existing players on PS4, PC, and mobile devices. The banner will be available from May 31, 2024, to June 15, 2024.
Bleach: Brave Souls will be available for Nintendo Switch and Xbox One in Summer 2024. The free-to-play title is immediately playable on Android, iOS, PC, and PlayStation 4. The latter version is also available on PlayStation 5 via backward compatibility.

Cover's Hololive Advent Vtubers all debuted back in July 2023, and the group is about to celebrate its first anniversary in this year. One of its most creative members is Shiori Novella, who encourages her community to write, made her own game, and has been singing in addition to her regular activities. Siliconera got a chance to talk with her, as well as others in her generation, about her activities and hopes for the future.
Jenni Lada: First, congrats on reaching 500,000 subscribers on YouTube! What are your next goals as Hololive Advent nears its first anniversary?
Shiori Novella: Though I may not be the most proficient singer, I want to sing more simply because it's fun! The process of being able to collaborate with many talented folks for a project to ensure my vision becomes a reality is a thrill.
Moreover, I want to dabble more in more Unity projects. 3D scenes are a joy to create as it's a way to craft my own little world. I love the idea of getting my community involved in all sorts of ways, whether it's using their art for the 3D environments I make or designing a world just for them to visit in the future in VRChat.
A lot of your streams have ended up being informational and even educational, such as the microscope stream you did not long after your debut and the one you did helping people figure out what they may need to create video content. How do you decide what to discuss?
Shiori Novella: I selected the microscope slides beforehand and had assistance in researching fun trivia for each one. Preparing the PowerPoints ahead of time helps organize the direction of the discussion as well, otherwise I may steer into various tangents unrelated to the topic.
At the end of the day, it's a collaborative effort because of how overwhelming preparation can be. Doing everything alone is stressful enough as it is with how easily things can go wrong.
You mentioned wanting to do some travel videos and, in the past, shared a Tropical Cruise Vlog. Where would you like to go for future streams?
Shiori Novella: Switzerland! Ireland holds an allure to me too. I suppose anywhere in Europe would be interesting as I would enjoy touring its castles and quaint villages. I enjoy preserving the memories I make – and making videos is a fun way to do that. They're like little time capsules of all the good times – and perhaps even bad ones associated with it to be honest.
Back in February 2024, you released your first visual novel. When did development start on it?
Shiori Novella: I can't remember! I'm pretty sure it could've been as early as September, but it might not have solidified completely until perhaps October.
What did the development process look like for Snowed In, considering everything else you do on a daily basis?
Shiori Novella: It started with just an idea. 'I want to make a visual novel!' was what I pitched to my manager.
From there, it was brainstorming what topic would be straightforward with as little complications as possible. Initially we wanted to have a cozy winter theme as the original launch date was meant to be December, so that train of thought landed us to the topic of 'hot pots.
Then came teamwork. I had a wonderful team help out with every step of the way. We worked on the UI, programming, and story together. A basic outline was crafted, sections were modified or removed, a list of assets needed were decided, artists were brought on, and the programmer did their thing.
If you got a chance to create another Hololive game, what sort of idea or story would you like to pursue?
Shiori Novella: A rhythm game involving all of Advent! I thought it would be fun to weave everyone's lore into each stage. Of course, it's still an idea that has to be finalized though.
Would you ever consider writing a novel and, if so, what sort of themes or story would you like to tell?
Shiori Novella: I don't think I'd dabble into novels to be honest! I'm satisfied with snippets of stories because they're easier to manage in terms of both time and motivation. Plus, if I write a novel, it would turn into a massive self-inserted tale more for myself rather than the audience!

HoYoverse has confirmed the full global release date for Zenless Zone Zero. People all around the world will be able to play the new game from the same company behind Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail on July 4, 2024.
The company has also launched a new web event titled "Stock Up" that runs until July 18, 2024. Aspiring players can take part in this event to get more in-game items, such as Boopons and the Denny currency. It also includes a "Lucky Prize" event that will reward physical prizes ranging from Zenless Zone Zero-themed merchandise to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and iPhone 15 Pro units.
On the same day, HoYoverse also uploaded a new character demo trailer featuring Lycaon on the game's official YouTube channel:
HoYoverse opened pre-registrations for Zenless Zone Zero in late April 2024, and it will remain available until the game releases on July 4, 2024. By the time the company announced the full release date, it had gathered over 35 million pre-registrants. People can expect to get Agent Corin with 30,000 Dennys, 8 Master Tapes, and 5 Boopons at launch. But if the final milestone of 40 million is also reached, HoYoverse will add 12 more Master Tapes for a total of 20.
Zenless Zone Zero will be available on PlayStation 5, Android, iOS, and PC via Epic Games Store with a global simultaneous release date of July 4, 2024.
