This new Steam Deck rival has a killer feature the ROG Ally is missing

Zotac is the latest name to throw its hat into the ring with a Steam Deck competitor. While the early details are incredibly thin, we do know that the new Zotac Zone will sport a 7-inch AMOLED display, which might turn some heads given that only one other PC gaming handheld can boast such quality.

While the Steam Deck is the best handheld gaming PC, Zotac must believe it has the plan to try and make a splash in a booming market. Revealing an AMOLED display right away already shows it has something the ROG Ally, Legion Go, and MSI Claw don't.

After 25 years, the classic Thief series has new levels, built by fans

We talk about series that deserve a comeback, the PC classics like Command and Conquer, Deus Ex, and - at this point - Half-Life, that have gotten lost in the weeds over the years, and we'd like to see make a return. But Thief doesn't often get mentioned. The defining immersive-sim RPG, it directly inspired Dishonored, Prey, the first Deus Ex, and elements of BioShock (which of course also descends from System Shock). But The Dark Project, The Metal Age, and Deadly Shadows deserve more modern attention. 25 years since the first game, one group of fans is keeping the Looking Glass classic alive with an expansive new range of missions that you can try for yourself now.

What is the current and next Genshin Impact banner?

Genshin Impact banners rotate every few weeks on a precise schedule, and we always know what to expect thanks to regular updates from HoYoverse. The developer of the anime game always keeps its fans in the loop with regular livestreams and social media updates, so you can plan in advance where you want to spend your hard-earned primogems.

With a two to three-week turnaround for banners, the roster of Genshin Impact characters is always changing, and the free PC game regularly introduces two new characters to wish for. Every limited-time character banner - or event wish - contains a five-star character and three four-star characters with increased drop rates. There's also a Genshin Impact weapon banner, which runs alongside each character banner and changes weapons every update.

No Man's Sky is about to become the loneliest videogame in the world

They're different in practice, it's hard not to draw comparisons between No Man's Sky and Starfield. Both are ambitious space games. Both arrived with a firestorm of hype. And both of them, at launch at least, were disappointing. Starfield Shattered Space could mark the beginning of a comeback for Bethesda's RPG. Eight years since launch, however, Hello Games' NMS is at the end of its recovery, securing a place in the annals of videogame rebound stories alongside Cyberpunk 2077 and Fallout 76. But the new No Man's Sky update imagines something very different. No added quests. No extra material. No…anything.

Diablo meets Pokemon in undead Steam RPG, with demo out now

I love slaying demons in the murky depths of Diablo's Sanctuary as much as the next Necromancer, but every now and then, it's nice to dive into something a little more light-hearted. The new indie game Necro Story from Belgian developer Rablo Games could be just the trick, promising a "whimsical" adventure through the Underworld with plenty of magic, humor, and hidden secrets. Oh, and you can capture the souls of your enemies for your undead army, a bit like Pokemon - just not quite as cuddly.

Manor Lords' city-building rival fights back hard with huge new update

Manor Lords is an intimidating opponent. Previously the most wishlisted game on Steam, it's a superb mix of medieval warfare, small-scale strategy, and our beloved city building gameplay. But another game, released just three days before Manor Lords itself, and boasting a 'very positive' rating on Steam, is fighting back. In its first major update, this overlooked rival addresses every major concern raised by players so far, as the battle of the early-access Middle Ages strategy games continues.

The best features from the MultiVersus beta have all been removed

After a year-long hiatus, MultiVersus is back - and for some reason, the platform fighter has removed one of its best features entirely. I enjoyed the core gameplay of the Warner Bros' IP brawler during the open beta, and I still think there's a solid game in here somewhere. What are the new Attack on Titan Revolution codes? There are many anime games on Roblox based on One Piece and Dragon Ball, but we rarely get anything focused on the mega-popular Attack on Titan universe. AoT Revolution aims to be a faithful action-packed adventure that takes inspiration from the aerial combat shown on the show.

This Roblox experience is unlike many anime games on the platform in how it plays, but there are certainly some similarities regarding the gacha system.      Sony is making a PSVR2 PC adaptor, and it's been certified in Korea

Ever since the release of Sony's PSVR2 headset, there have been calls from virtual reality enthusiasts to make the headset compatible with PC. It seems like Sony may finally be listening as certification for a "PlayStationVR2 PC adapter" has appeared on the Korean National Radio Research Agency website.

While it may be the best VR headset directly tied to a console, PSVR2's relationship with PC VR has been rocky at best. It took an avid modding community to make the first headset compatible with PC and despite endless calls, Sony only revealed its intention to expand PSVR2's compatibility earlier this year. But is it all too late to have any impact on the likes of Meta and Valve?

League of Legends' new Ahri skin does look absolutely amazing, but when I saw the price I, like many other players, went 'yeah, that's a no.'      FF14 server status and maintenance times - is FFXIV down?

Is FF14 down? It might be because of ongoing maintenance or server issues if you can't log on to FF14 or access your character. Before worrying about any problems with your game, you'll want to check the FF14 server status and currently scheduled maintenance times below to see if the MMO is offline.

If you can't log into FF14, it's typically because of planned maintenance. Developer Square Enix usually announces these well ahead of time, so be sure to read on and see when future maintenance times are planned.

Zelnick refused to acknowledge that the studio was being closed when asked by a reporter, even going so far as to claim the opposite. "We didn't shutter those studios," he told IGN. Next Eiyuden Chronicle Patch Arrives in June

505 Games offered a schedule for the next Eiyuden Chronicle patch for all platforms, with the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC versions all coming in June 2024. The Switch one will arrive first in "early" June 2024, followed by the other platforms' patch in the middle of the month.

The Eiyuden Chronicle Switch patch coming at the beginning of the month covers two major things. The first is that the Hotfix 1.3 and 1.4 updates will be applied. However, it will also get the Balanced, Graphics, and Performance modes other versions have in an attempt to allow players to prioritize different elements to improve the experience.

As for the other consoles and PC patch, thpse will cover a number of different general issues and problems that could impair gameplay. Here's the full, official list from the announcement:

  • Stability improvements
  • Issue where time spent with Support characters were not counted even if they were in the party.
  • Issue where some magic skills did not have an attribute affinity correction.
  • Story progression issues
  • Graphic issues
  • UI control issues
  • Dungeon gimmick issues
  • Localization issues
  • Adjustment to character voice volume
  • End credit revision
  • Additional improvements and bug fixes

In addition to the new Eiyuden Chronicle patch for every platform, we have an official roadmap for the DLC. The Japanese social media account shared an estimate for when everyone can expect to see everything. If things go as Rabbit and Bear expect, the Marisa DLC will arrive first in Eiyuden Chronicle in August 2024. The Seign and Markus ones will follow in September and October.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is available on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, with Switch physical copies now available worldwide.

oda nobunaga fate/grand order avenger figure

Good Smile Company has opened up pre-orders of a 1/7 scale figure of Avenger Oda Nobunaga from Fate/Grand Order. Pre-orders will close on August 7, 2024.

The Fate/Grand Order Avenger Oda Nobunaga figure costs 26,800 JPY on the Japanese Good Smile Company store. It'll ship in May 2025. Meanwhile, the North American site listed her as $158.99. She'll ship in Q3 2025. As a reminder, Good Smile Company (English) only ships to North America due to regional licensing.

The figure depicts Oda Nobunaga (to be very technical, her name in the game is Demon King Oda Nobunaga) in her first Ascension. This version of her retains the original look of Oda Nobunaga the most. It recreates the character art for her, including her posing on top of a stand of skulls while leaning on her katana. There's also red on the underside of her black hair, giving the impression of highlights.

Avenger Oda Nobunaga first appeared in the GUDAGUDA Final Honnoji event. The reason why there are so many different looks and personalities for this incarnation of Oda Nobunaga is because she's an embodiment of all of her personalities.

Fate/Grand Order is readily available on mobile devices. The Fate/Grand Order Avenger Oda Nobunaga figure will come out in 2025.

Interview: Hololive Advent Vtuber Koseki Bijou Talks About Games and Events

The five Hololive Advent Vtubers will be celebrating their first anniversary with Cover in July 2024, and Siliconera caught up with members like Koseki Bijou to talk about their experience so far. In her case, we got a chance to hear about what it's like to attend events, stream games, and what she'd like to accomplish in the future.

Jenni Lada: What's the coolest thing you've gotten to do or the thing that you're most happy about in your first year?

Koseki Bijou: Is it already almost a year? WOW it went by so quickly!! The coolest thing ever is just realizing that I'M HERE! and I feel so blessed to be here too! Being able to share my interests and enjoy playing games in front of people is mind boggling. People like watching ME? Playing VIDEO GAMES? That's just crazy to think about! I love it when people tell me that they've bought a game because they enjoyed watching me have so much fun playing it. It's the best feeling ever!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hDlSAna_48&ab_channel=KosekiBijouCh.hololive-EN

You're quite adept at Souls-like games. What got you interested in the genre and what tips do you have for people?

Koseki Bijou: I like a challenge! I actually picked up Dark Souls III on a whim and didn't really think too much about it, it was just a game series that I wanted to try. But I fell in love with it and all Souls-like games! There's nothing quite like the feeling of finally beating a boss after hours of struggle! It's the best! I guess my tips for people is don't treat your deaths as failures. Treat them as you're learning the fight and the moves. Enjoy the experience! When I go into a boss fight not thinking about beating it as quickly as possible (unless speedrunning or something) I'm going in to have fun!

Your use of memes and way of playing around with them have resulted in phrases like "Biboo tax" and your "Gyatt for the Rizzler" take on the meme song becoming known outside the hololive fandom. What led to you coming up with that?

Koseki Bijou: I think I'm pretty active in keeping up with current memes and I guess that knowledge helps. But a lot of the memes surrounding me are stuff that stuck within the community! Silly moments just naturally became memes, and those are actually my favorite ones because they remind me of the moments and streams surrounding them!

What was it like going to events? Is there anything you like to do to prepare?

Koseki Bijou: It's really fun! The thing that gets me the most is being able to see everyone! When I'm streaming, I don't actually realize the amount of people watching! It's a different experience streaming and talking to chat and actually seeing all the Pebbles in person! It's a really meaningful experience for me! My favorite parts are the meet and greets where I could talk to Pebbles one on one! I don't really have a set routine to prepare me for these events, but one habit I like to do is take notes about the event before and after! I have fun little notes about all the Pebbles I meet so I can remember the experience!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3GH4PhWmVE&ab_channel=KosekiBijouCh.hololive-EN

What game or game would you like to play that you haven't had a chance to yet?

Koseki Bijou: As you know, I really love Souls and challenging games! THE one game that I really wanted to play and haven't gotten a chance to yet is Bloodborne! I heard that it's a fan favorite among FromSoft games so I'm really itching to try it one day!! I'm also looking forward to the Elden Ring DLC as well!

What is your dream collab within Hololive?

Koseki Bijou: Within Hololive I wanna collab with my JP-senpai! I'm still a bit shy and the language barrier is my biggest struggle, but I'm doing my best to learn Japanese because I really admire them and want to talk with them properly and play games together! I think my dream collab would be with Towa-senpai because she's SO cool!!

You can follow Koseki Bijou on social media and catch her streams on her YouTube channel.
