The benchmark is AIDA64, which is a heavily multi-threaded CPU test, and while it's not the most representative gauge of gaming performance, it still points to some significant performance gains, especially when you consider that the 9950X and 7950X both have 16 cores. But it's also a pleasingly low-effort method to make your opponent look very silly - the combat equivalent of waving your outstretched hand and shaking your head in unison. There's a new update on season 2 of the One Piece live-action show on Netflix, and it revealed four of the Baroque Works actors who will portray familiar characters. However, Mr. 0 and Miss All Sunday aren't among them just yet.
The One Piece announcement covered four characters who are Baroque Works Officer and Frontier Agents. The highest "number" to show up is Mr. 3. The lowest is the Frontier Agent Mr. 9. This suggests the Arabasta Saga arc will be a major plot point this time around.

As a reminder, Mr. 0 and Miss All Sunday are two Baroque Works One Piece characters who end up becoming major characters in the series. Spoilers aside, for those new to the series via Netflix's live-action adaptation, but both end up playing parts and becoming integral members of other organizations.
The first season of the One Piece live-action adaptation is on Netflix now, with season 2 on the way. The anime is on both Netflix and Crunchyroll. Viz Media handles the manga outside of Japan.

Square Enix has confirmed the release date for its new board game based on Final Fantasy XII. With the new title Moogle Bounty Mayhem, the board game will appear in Japan on November 23, 2024. The company has also opened pre-orders for the set on the Japanese e-Store with a price tag of 4,400 yen (~$27.60).
The board game first appeared through a playtest version at the Spring 2024 Game Market. The tentative title, The Six Moogle Siblings' Mob Hunt, has since been confirmed as the official Japanese title. But even though Square Enix has added an English title in Moogle Bounty Mayhem, the board game will only be available in Japanese at the moment. Square Enix's North American and European web stores have yet to list the board game as of this announcement.
As the original title suggests, the six Moogle siblings from Final Fantasy XII will be the stars of this game, and the set will have a card based on each of them. All six main party members of Final Fantasy XII like Vaan and Penelo will also be represented with Hero Cards.
The set will also come with ten regular monster cards, two Yiazmat cards, and sixty battle cards, along with tokens that will denote statuses like fatigue. A gameplay session for this board game will run for around 15 minutes, and Square Enix recommends the game to be played by 2-4 people.
The Final Fantasy: Moogle Bounty Mayhem board game will be available in Japan on November 23, 2024.

The Pokemon Company International announced that multiple Pokemon TCG Illustration Contest 2024 entrants are disqualified due to not following the contest rules. The announcement didn't note how many people ended up removed or offer any reasons, but it did say more artists' work will be added to the top 300 as a result.
Here is the official statement, which appeared on the worldwide site for the event. While no reasons were mentioned, it did specifically mention "upholding the integrity of the Pokemon TCG Illustration Contest." This could mean that some of the art that made it into the top 300 that infringed people's rights and used someone else's work without permission, such as AI-created works, or that other inappropriate content made it through. The Official Contest Rules section went over these rules.
This year, people were able to submit art to the Pokemon TCG Illustration Contest 2024 between October 2023 and January 2024. The theme is Magical Pokemon Moments, and the featured characters are Absol, Bidoof, Charizard, Eevee, Feraligatr, Flygon, Koraidon, Melmetal, Pikachu, and Toxtricity. The grand prize winner gets $5,000 and their design on a card. The best standard and ex winners each get $3,000 and their designs on cards.

Good Smile Company has opened pre-orders for the new Shadow Nendoroid figure from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. The figure costs $50.99/¥6,500 and is currently available for pre-order from the North American and Japanese Good Smile Company online storefronts.
Pre-orders close on August 7, 2024 for the Japanese store. The figure is scheduled to release around November 2024 in Japan, and it will appear a bit later on Q2 2025 in North America. The Shadow the Hedgehog Nendoroid was originally announced ahead of the Good Smile Company Smile Fest 2024 event held throughout June 21-23, 2024.
The figure includes a front-facing serious eye and mouth part, as well as a right-facing angry part. Various hand parts are also included, in addition to a red Chaos Emerald. The figure was also showcased side by side with the classic Sonic the Hedgehog Nendoroid, which originally appeared in 2013 and received a re-release in September 2023.

Amakuni has started accepting pre-orders for its upcoming figure of Makoto Niijima in her school uniform from Persona 5 Royal. The figure will be available with a price tag of 27,500 yen (~$172.50).
This figure will have a scale of 1/7 with an overall height of around 21 cm (~8.27 inches). The static figure will mostly depict Makoto in her regular uniform in Shujin Academy, although it also includes the mask that she will use to transform into her "Queen" Phantom Thief attire.

Amakuni has specified Hobby Japan as the primary distributor for this figure. However, Hobby Japan's online shop can only handle domestic shipments inside Japan, with its FAQ page confirming the refusal of overseas orders. People who reside outside Japan can still place an order for the figure from other outlets that support international shipments, such as AmiAmi.
The company had previously revealed a prototype of the figure at the August 2023 MegaHobby Expo. However, it took ten more months until Makoto's figure is ready for pre-orders. The figure of Ann Takamaki in her school uniform will appear earlier around September-October 2024, as the pre-order window for the latter ran through Q4 2023.
Amakuni will close the pre-order window for the Persona 5 Royal Makoto Niijima school uniform figure on August 14, 2024. The company will ship the finished figures around May-June 2025.

The recently announced Nendoroid figure of the Bulborb creature from the Pikmin game series comes with various figures of the red, blue, and yellow Pikmin. The Bulborb figure costs $44.99/¥7,500 and is now available for pre-order from the Japanese Good Smile Company online storefront until August 7, 2024, as well as the North American store.
The Bulborb Nendoroid is expected to appear in Japan sometime around February 2025, while it has a release window set for Q3 2025 in North America. Aside from the regular open eyes parts, the figure comes with a "closed" eyes part. The leg and mouth parts are articulated and can be moved to recreate a variety of poses.
Two sets of red, blue, and yellow Pikmin figures are included as well, with one set featuring running Pikmin alongside bases, and the other set offering dangling Pikmin that can be set on the back of the figure. The Nendoroid was recently announced as part of the new lineup of figures shown at the Good Smile Company Smile Fest 2024 event alongside various other figures, including a Nendoroid of Miku Hinasaki from the Fatal Frame series, a Seto Kaiba Nendoroid from the Yu-Gi-Oh series, and a Deedlit Nendoroid from Record of Lodss War, to name a few.
