Max Caulfield is back, the Life is Strange hero returns with brand-new powers, new friends, and a new murder to prevent. Max is a photographer-in-residence at Caledon University, mentoring young artists. So far, it looks like she has moved on from the events of the first game, though in the reveal, Square Enix acknowledged that the game welcomes new players, but also echoes the past. Though it's not clear how much our previous endings will affect the game, Nine Deck Games stressed the endings will remain 'canon' to each player. Life is Strange: Double Exposure has been announced as a murder mystery game. One of Max's close friends, Safi, is murdered and Max tries to use her old skills of rewinding time to prevent the death. Instead, she opens a parallel timeline, one where Safi is alive. She can move between timelines to piece together who killed Safi, and why. It all sounds a lot more grown up than previous Life is Strange story game outings, which usually deal with the complexities of teenage emotions and coming of age stories. PCGamesN Wednesday, June 26, 2024 9:24 AM  Several Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super cards are reportedly being made with a different GPU from previous cards, with graphics card manufacturers apparently replacing the standard RTX 4070 Ti chip with the larger chip used in the flagship RTX 4090. Before you get excited, though, this sadly doesn't mean these new RTX 4070 Ti cards are going to run at RTX 4090 speeds. Released at the start of 2024, the RTX 4070 Ti Super updated the previous RTX 4070 Ti in several key ways. Nvidia increased the VRAM from 12GB to 16GB, widened the memory interface, and added 768 more CUDA cores as well, making it a more powerful gaming graphics card in every way. This wasn't enough to propel the GPU onto our best graphics card guide, but it was definitely an improvement. Riot Games' hugely successful MOBA is technically a free game, but if you ask any avid fan if that's the case, you'll no doubt receive a wry laugh in response. The champion pool is diverse and wonderful; each character can be purchased with currency earned while playing. Premium cosmetics, however, are bought with real-world money. These League of Legends skins and other cosmetics can be purchased directly using an in-game currency called RP. RP itself, though, must be purchased with your hard-earned cash. LoL skins change the base look of the character you're playing, with premium cosmetics adding new effects, voice lines, and animations. Then there's the battle pass that can be bought using RP, too. So, while League of Legends is technically one of the best free PC games around, you can see just how easily it can sway you into parting with your money. An online exhibition for Serial Experiments Lain is available via VRChat. The June 24, 2024 update added Lain's room as a place you can explore. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
This exhibition is part of a campaign to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the series. It started on June 20, 2024 and every Monday, there will be a new area to explore. The exhibition's focus is on letting visitors experience for themselves the bizarre and unsettling worldview of Serial Experiments Lain. Aside from Lain's room, you'll be able to check out a hallway full of such creepy scenes, as well as a display tower of all of Lain's scenes. Aside from just looking at things, there's also an interactive element to the exhibition, such as switches you can press.

Serial Experiments Lain started out as an anime series, airing from July to September 1998. A video game for it came out in 1998 and a manga came out in 1999. It follows the story of Lain, who is an awkward introvert. She receives an e-mail from a dead student who tells her of the Wired, which is a virtual realm that she abandoned her physical body for. Serial Experiments Lain was well-received and serves as an influential work even years after its initial broadcast.

Mayla has revealed its Nier Automata Ver1.1a shoes. The pumps will be available from July 27, 2024 via its website.
As of the time of writing, Mayla will only release a pair of shoes for 2B from NieR Automata Ver1.1a. There is only one color variation (black) and it'll cost 31,350 JPY ($195.65). Mayla offers international shipping so even if you live outside of Japan, you'll be able to purchase it. Pre-orders are open from June 27 to July 28, 2024.
As for the shoes themselves, they have Mayla's signature ribbon on the back of the heel. It has a black-and-white color scheme overall, which matches with the neutral aesthetics of the YoRHa androids in NieR Automata. The upper portion of the pumps takes inspiration from the design on 2B's chest while the back of the shoe has some lines that resemble the hem of 2B's skirt. The pumps will come in a box. Inside, you'll see the key visual of the anime, as well as a field of Lunar Tears.
Mayla first teased these shoes on June 15, 2024. Back then, it only posted a picture of the pumps on a set that looked like the run-down city you can explore in NieR Automata. Mayla tends to release shoes, accessories, and outfits based on various anime and video game series. Other shoes that Mayla released include ones of Evangelion and Hatsune Miku.
NieR Automata is readily available on the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC. The anime adaptation is on Crunchyroll and the second cour will start airing on July 5, 2024. The Mayla NieR Automata shoes will be open for pre-order until July 28, 2024.
