Apple's WWDC keynote is one of the highlights of the tech calendar, and this year's edition was bigger than most. That's because, as widely predicted, Tim Cook used the occasion to reveal Apple Intelligence, the tech giant's very own AI suite. But Apple had more to announce – much more – and you'll find all of the many highlights below.
iOS 18 is finally official and arriving later this year, and there are a host of new features to look forward to: scheduled messages, enhanced message effects, auto-sorting emails, new customizations for Control Center and the home screens, and plenty more.
We knew it was coming, and now it's here: Apple Intelligence is Apple's take on artificial intelligence, and later this year it's going to bring with it a much smarter Siri assistant, as well as tools for generating text and images, all with user privacy front and center.
It's fair to say Siri isn't the most capable digital assistant right now, but Apple is now looking to change that, with major upgrades that leverage the power of AI (with some help from ChatGPT), meaning you can do much more with Siri on your Apple devices.
Apple has also unveiled its next desktop operating system update, called macOS Sequoia. New features include the ability to seamlessly mirror your iPhone screen on macOS, a new way of organizing open windows, and a pile of Safari improvements.
