The Patlabor EZY anime project that was announced in 2017 will come out in 2026. A new key visual for it shows the Ingram Plus model under a dark sky with birds flying in the background. [Thanks, AIR!]
J.C. Staff will be producing the animation while GAZEN works on the CG. GENCO will be producing the project. J.C. Staff is an animation studio that has worked on shows like The Disastrous Life of Saiki K, The Familiar of Zero, Shokugeki no Soma, Azumanga Daioh, and the A Certain Magical Index franchise. It did not work on the original Patlabor OVAs or ONA.
Kenji Kawai will return as the composer for Patlabor EZY. It will also feature Yutaka Izubuchi (who was the mechanical designer for Patlabor) as the director, as well as Kazunori Itou (Patlabor the Mobile Police) working on the script. So even though there is a new animation studio working on it, many of the main creative staff are Patlabor veterans.
Patlabor is a sci-fi franchise that consists of a manga, TV series, OVAs, movies, a light novel, and more. It takes place in a futuristic vision of Japan in which companies use giant robots (Labors) to do work like construction. The Tokyo Metropolitan Police employs Patlabors in place of patrol cars in order to fight crime and deal with Labor-related incidents. Though Noa Izumi—a Labor otaku—is the main character, everyone in Division 2 gets some time in the spotlight.
Patlabor EZY will come out in 2026. More information will appear in the future in regards to this project. Zoids x Patlabor: Code Name B.U.D.D.Y. will be available first. This manga series will come out in Fall 2024.

As part of its Geeked Week presentations and announcements, Netflix revealed the live-action actors who will play One Piece Baroque Works members Miss All-Sunday and Mr 0. They will be played by Lera Abova and Joe Manganiello. A table read trailer with Inaki "Monkey D Luffy" Godoy also featured a peek at the live-action version of Tony Tony Chopper as well.
Editor's Note: There will be spoilers for Miss All-Sunday and Mr 0 in One Piece below.
Both Miss All-Sunday and Mr 0 become recurring characters in One Piece, as the former is Nico Robin and the latter is Crocodile. Both initially appeared in the series as the heads of Baroque Works, an organization playing a major role in season two of the live-action adaptation. Abova is a model whose only other major role so far was in the Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin TV series. Meanwhile, Manganiello is known for both movie and television roles, with notable ones being Alcide in True Blood, Deathstroke in Justice League, Burke in Rampage, and Flash Thompson in Spider-Man.

Here's the teaser for Chopper in the live-action One Piece adaptation. We only get to see him from behind at the 49 second mark. His antlers, signature hat, and ears can be seen, but the rest of him is obscured by a chair.
These aren't the only Geeked Week reveals for this adaptation. There was also a tour of the set for season 2 as well. That was hosted by Jeff "Buggy the Clown" Ward.
The first season of the One Piece live-action adaptation is on Netflix now, with season 2 on the way. The anime is on both Netflix and Crunchyroll. Viz Media handles the manga outside of Japan.

The official Zenless Zone Zero flagship store on miHoYo's Tmall is selling an Eous Bangboo smartphone holder. Pre-orders will open on September 20, 2024 and the smartphone holder will ship out in early November 2024. [Thanks, heiankyo_327!]
The smartphone holder specifically resembles Eous, which is the Bangboo that the main characters Wise and Belle use. Not only does it hang out in Random Play, but the Phaethon siblings can also control it to safely enter Hollows when guiding Agents on missions. The smartphone holder costs 99 CNY ($14) and depicts the thing lying on its stomach with its feet up. Between the pose and its cheery eyes, it looks like it's having a great time.
In pictures showing the smartphone holder in use, we can see that you have to place the phone between the Bangboo's butt and its feet. Its ears, which angle backwards, serve as support for the back of your phone. This makes sense, as the little feet won't block too much of your screen. When you're not using it to hold your phone, you can also display the Bangboo as cute merchandise.
Zenless Zone Zero is readily available on the PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. You can pre-order the Bangboo smartphone holder from September 20, 2024 if you have a TMall account. It'll come out in early November 2024.

Netflix announced the Devil May Cry anime adaptation will release through the streaming service in April 2025. Alongside this announcement, a two minute long trailer was shared, which showcases several scenes from the adaptation and gives viewers a taste of of the action.
A list of voice actors that will lend their talents to the various characters of the Devil May Cry series in the adaptation have yet to be announced. However, Dante does a fair amount of talking, and it's clear that this is a younger take on the famous (or infamous) devil hunter.

In November 2018, Adi Shankar, who brought the Castlevania Netflix adaptation to life, announced he was working on Devil May Cry. While development or further news on the Devil May Cry adaptation was scarce, a short teaser trailer appeared in 2023.
In November 2022, Capcom announced Devil May Cry V had moved up it's Platinum Titles list. It currently sits in tenth place, just behind the Resident Evil 3 remake, at over 8 million units sold worldwide. Up until the release of Devil May Cry V, the series had otherwise been dormant after the release of Devil May Cry 4 and it's first anime adaptation. Devil May Cry has received a light novel, a short-lived manga series taking place during the events of the third game, and even a stage play exclusive to Japan.
The Devil May Cry Neftlix anime will release in April 2025.

Fairytail has started selling perfume that draw inspiration from various Ultraman characters. You can purchase them via online stores, as well as the physical Fairy Tail store in Shibuya 109. [Thanks, PR Times!]
There are four different types of Ultraman perfumes to get. Each one costs 4950 JPY ($34.70) and come as an eau de parfum. The bottle depicts the the emblem of the Ultraman in question, and the box is red with the look of the Ultraman on the side.

You can purchase the Ultraman perfumes from Tsuburaya and Fairytail. As a note, because it's perfume, it might be difficult to import or export them unless you physically go to Japan and buy it. For Ultraman fans who want to buy merchandise but aren't interested in perfume, the Ultraman TCG will come out on October 25, 2024.

A selling point of the glasses holder is that it uses art from KEI. KEI is an illustrator and manga author, but he's well-known for being the designer of some of the major Vocaloid characters. This includes Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, and Megurine Luka. Miku is only a silhouette in this glasses holder. But you can recognize her from her pigtails, the teal tie, and the unique way she's standing.
This glasses holder is also a pin, so you can wear it from your shirt and keep your glasses hanging from it. In doing so, you can prevent any marks or scuffs on your lens, which may occur if you decide to keep your glasses in your pocket. Washin also sells Miku-inspired glasses for 18,480 JPY ($129.60), if you're interested in a full Miku ensemble.
Hatsune Miku is a Vocaloid voicebank and the official mascot character for Crypton Future Media. The initial release was way back in 2007 and Saki Fujita (voice actress for Koshitan in My Deer Friend Nokotan and Ymir in Attack on Titan) provided the voice samples. Songs that use Miku have been very popular for almost two decades and she has appeared in many other video games like Fitness Boxing and Colorful Stage.

Kinoko Nasu wrote an entry on the Type-Moon blog on September 18, 2024 to discuss Ordeal Call III in Fate/Grand Order. The short blog post details the length of Part 3.
In the post, Nasu states that Part 3 will have around the same amount of text as Part 1. It's not too long, so it's possible to play through the entire thing in one day. You can also play an hour a day and get through it comfortably. Nasu also commented that when talking about Ordeal Call III in a past interview, he was actually talking about Ordeal Call IV. At the time, he couldn't say anything about it so he played dumb. The interview in question is likely the one with Famitsu in regards to the ninth anniversary of Fate/Grand Order.
Ordeal Call III is the sequel to the current summer event, Celebrity Summer Experience. Both of them are available for a limited time. Celebrity Summer Experience will end on October 2, 2024. Meanwhile, Ordeal Call III will stop being available on October 31, 2024. However, both of them will eventually return to the Main Interlude (permanent content) in several months' time. So even if you can't play through the stories now, you can wait.
Fate/Grand Order is readily available on mobile devices, though Ordeal Call III and Celebrity Summer Experience are only on the Japanese server for now.

A new version of the Rei Ayanami Flare figure from Evangelion will appear for the first time in 17 years. The new figure costs 22,880 yen (or approximately $160.43) and will go on sale at the official Evangelion online store on September 26, 2024 .
The figure is scheduled to release in Japan sometime in August 2025. The rerelease of the figure by Flare will be a collaboration between illustrator Shunya Yamashita and sculptor Mitsumasa Yoshizawa. The duo worked together for the figure after designing the illustration and original garage kit back in 2007.
The figure depicts Rei Ayanami in a revealing dress version of her plugsuit. Her right eye is covered in bandages, just as it is during certain points in the anime. She is striking a dynamic pose, with both her arms raised and her hands crossed above her head.

As a reminder, Sen-Ti-Nel announced a new Evangelion figure of the Eva Unit-01 that turns the mech into a warrior clad in samurai armor. Pre-orders for the figure closed back on September 17, 2024.
The new Evangelion figure of Rei Ayanami by Flare costs 22,880 yen (~$160.43) and will release in Japan on August 2025. The figure will go on sale from September 26, 2024.

Nihon Falcom's Trails sales have reached over 8.5 million units worldwide. This is a new milestone for the otherwise niche JRPG, which has now seen several Japanese exclusive titles made their way to the West. [Thanks, ryokutya!]
In June 2024, Nihon Falcom released Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak, which we felt pretty favorably towards. And in August 2024, as part of a sizzle reel during a Nintendo Direct, it was announced that Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 1st would appear on the Nintendo Switch. This is a remake of the first The Legend of Heroes: Trails title. It will release sometime in 2025. This will no doubt bolster sales for the Trails series.
Additionally, a Legend of Heroes: Trails trading game is set to launch in November 2025. It will feature notable characters from the series such as Estelle and Joshua Bright. They will appeared as free promotional cards in Japan in June 2024. Pre-orders for the TCG packs began in June 2024 as well. The release date will fall in November 29, 2024.
In May 2024, Nihon Falcom also revealed a series of 20th anniversary merchandise for the series. This included a smartphone stand, a set of acrylic keychains, and a wine bottle.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 1st will release in 2025 on the Nintendo Switch.

A new Dragon Ball Super manga series by author Toyotaro will reportedly appear on the December 2024 issue of the V Jump magazine, which will release in November 2024. As a reminder, Dragon Ball Super is currently on an indefinite hiatus. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!]
It seems like the new work will be a one-shot based on the Dragon Ball: Super Divers arcade card game. However, at the time of writing there are no confirmed details about the plot of the one-shot. Leaker ryokutya2089 also hypothesized about the possibility that the Dragon Ball Super manga could be fully suspended or declared as completed.
The Dragon Ball Super series originally went on an indefinite hiatus back on March 20, 2024, shortly after the passing of creator Akira Toriyama on March 1, 2024. However, it was also reported that the hiatus was unrelated to the author's death.
Furthermore, the new Dragon Ball Daima anime series is set to premiere in Japan on October 11, 2024. Toei Animation recently shared the voice actors for some of the new characters revealed in the anime's latest trailer.
The Dragon Ball Super anime adaptation is available to stream on Crunchyroll. Viz Media handles the English release of the manga.

Square Enix announced a Kingdom Heats 2 Munny Pouch will be available for purchase on September 21, 2024. Pre-orders for the item are available through the Square Enix online storefront. The pouch will cost 3,300 yen or roughly $23.
The pouch itself is modeled after the hand-made Munny pouch made by Olette and used by Roxas and friends during the prologue of Kingdom Hearts 2. It features a handstitched patch on the front and drawstrings to close the pouch.

While new merchandise for the Kingdom Hearts continues roll out at a steady pace, new information about Kingdom Heats 4 has appeared. Series creator Tetsuya Nomura revealed that Kingdom Hearts 4 is the beginning of the end. In an interview with Young Jump, he stated that while he doesn't know how long the series will take to reach it's conclusion after the release of Kingdom Hearts 4, only that this is the starting chapter to whatever the end of the series will be.
Kingdom Hearts, and Kingdom Hearts 2, is now available on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam.
