Diablo 4 cellar brazier puzzle solution

How do you solve the Diablo 4 cellar brazier puzzle? You're casually minding your own business, riding through the mirk and mud of Sanctuary, avoiding monsters as best you can, and there it is, the inviting orange glow of a warm cellar. Inside, nine braziers, and a puzzle so confusing it might make you want to hurl yourself into a crowd of wretches and plague maggots.

You can brute force this Diablo 4 puzzle, but the trouble is it can take a long while, so we've got a simple solution for you below. Cellars are a type of Diablo 4 dungeon perfect for solo D4 players - a mini-dungeon, if you will -  and can host puzzles or combat scenarios. Either way, completing one rewards you with some decent loot, especially good for kick-starting your gear haul with a new seasonal character, so let's get you that loot from the D4 brazier cellar puzzle.

The Meta Quest 3S VR headset is here for an incredible new low price

Meta has just unveiled the Meta Quest 3S, a new lower-cost variant of its Quest 3 VR headset that does include some downgrades but still makes for a compelling offer thanks to an amazingly low price. While the Quest 3 has just been discounted to $429.99, the new Quest 3S comes in at just $299.99.

With the Quest 3 riding high as the best VR headset you can buy right now, Meta certainly knows a thing or two about making a headset for the masses but this new low entry price for the Meta Quest 3S takes the situation to a whole new level. Technically, Meta still lists the Quest 2 as available for just $199.99, but it's sold out on its store and is a much less-capable headset.

Best RAM for gaming in 2024

The best gaming RAM can make a substantial difference to the experience of using your PC, and without making a planet-sized dent in your bank balance either. We've seen surprisingly large variations in gaming frame rates when using different memory on the same test gear, and adding more RAM to your machine also makes it much quicker to flick between apps.

While picking out new RAM for gaming might not give you the same adrenalin rush as picking out the best graphics card or best gaming CPU, making sure you have the right system memory is essential if you want to build a gaming PC that will stand the test of time. Plus, let's face it, a lot of the latest RGB modules also look pretty fine too, adding several lighting strips to the otherwise uninspiring motherboard area next to your CPU.

If you like to keep lots of browser tabs open, and still be able to go straight to your photo editor without being held up, then a RAM upgrade is a great investment. If you're still struggling along with just 16GB of RAM, or worse, 8GB, then now is a great time to give your system some room to breathe.

With AMD and Intel's latest processors supporting ever higher memory frequencies, you'll need to pick your RAM carefully if you're building a brand new rig. As we found in our recent DDR4 vs DDR5 investigation, it's definitely worth making the jump to DDR5 now if you're building a new system, and you can get higher frame rates with faster clock speeds too.

To find our best recommendations, we've been trying and testing many of the best gaming RAM modules at a range of prices for both AMD and Intel platforms. We cover both DDR4 and DDR5 DIMMs, and we examine kits with and without RGB lighting as well.

This new Samsung SSD looks set to be one of the fastest PCIe 4.0 drives yet

Samsung has just released a new budget-friendly SSD as an upgrade to the 990 Evo it launched a few months ago. Unlike the 990 Evo, which we felt came with some misleading claims, the Samsung 990 Evo Plus actually looks like it might be a good option for gamers, with speeds that make it one of the fastest PCIe 4.0 SSDs you can buy right now.

When we reported on the original Samsung 990 Evo launch earlier this year, it's safe to say that we were underwhelmed. It didn't offer great value, and its PCIe 5.0 compatibility felt more like a marketing gimmick. Samsung has an otherwise pretty good record with SSDs, with two of them being recommended in our best gaming SSD guide.

Lenovo Legion Go Lite has morphed into a Steam Deck lookalike, leak suggests

A new Lenovo Legion Go Lite leak has emerged, showing the casing for what could be an upcoming, more affordable version of Lenovo's unique gaming handheld. Possibly looking to wrestle some market share from the Steam Deck and ROG Ally, the new device appears to take on a different approach to the current Legion Go in a host of ways.

As one of the best handheld gaming PC options currently available, the original Legion Go showed Lenovo really innovating in the handheld space, providing a larger-screened device than the Steam Deck and other rivals, while also including removable side controllers. However, its high price has inherently held back its appeal, so a new simpler, smaller version could be just what Lenovo needs.

How big is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6? Despite initial rumors that it would take up over 300GB, the actual Black Ops 6 file size thankfully comes in at under half of this size on PC. What's more, you can save even more space by not installing certain online game modes.

The Black Ops 6 system requirements were revealed prior to the closed beta for PC and detailed the file size alongside the type of storage you will need to get the best out of the game. Previously known as Codename Red, this latest entry in the stealth RPG game series transports us to the turbulent Azuchi-Momoyama period. We'll witness Obu Nobunaga's bid to unify Japan through the eyes of dual protagonists Fujibayashi Naoe, the fictional daughter of ninja master Fujibayashi Nagato, and Yasuke, the first playable historical figure in the series. We've got all this and more ahead of the Assassin's Creed Shadows release date.

Assassin's Creed Shadows finally takes the franchise to feudal Japan, the most requested period in the action-adventure game series' lifetime. Not only that, we'll also be assuming the role of a real historical figure for the first time: Yasuke, the legendary Black samurai, as he strikes an alliance with shinobi Naoe during the unification of Japan. During his tenure as the foremost newsperson of the 1980s, Atari's Paperboy faced many grievous challenges - squabbling drunks, swarms of bees, the actual Grim Reaper - and yet, day after day he answered the noble call of journalism, lashing his basket to his doughty BMX and daring the treacherously oblique suburbs of Reaganite America.

Speaking as both a news editor and a former paperboy, who broke his mind and body hauling obese Sunday editions to the millionaire houses at the top of the valley, Paperboy is my role model. Or he would be if my role model weren't actually Steven Spielberg's Freakazoid. Paperboy's heyday has long since passed into history, however, and the business of journalism has changed beyond recognition. People don't read newspapers anymore, they just eat pizza. This, at least, is the condensed analysis offered by Food Boy, which launched this week on Steam.

Experimental, feature-length simulation game Apartment Story is not especially brilliant, but it does feature a home invasion that's stressful in several, systemically tangible ways I've never quite felt in such a specific combination from a videogame before. It's partly a story about mental health, partly about the absolute horror of not just managing a Sim but actually being one, and partly about seeing how many wanks and cheese sandwiches you can fit into a single morning. Yes, I washed my hands afterward. Ah, but after which?

You might remember Kara Stone as the developer of Ritual Of The Moon, a game about a banished witch that is played in bursts of five minutes a day, over the course of a lunar cycle. Alice B (RPS in peace) dedicated an article series to it back in 2019, summarising it as "a sad, quiet, meditative game about breathing and loneliness and drawing pictures in the stars". Stone's forthcoming Known Mysteries is a ritual of the sun, I guess. Slated for launch on 23rd October, it's the first of several, creatively low-carbon projects that will run off a custom, solar-powered server Stone has set up on her apartment balcony in Calgary, Canada.

Wartorn sci-fi extraction shooter The Forever Winter has had a messy launch into early access. For those who don't know the game, this third-person helljaunt sees its players wandering through the battlefields of an endless conflict between three major world powers. Mechs stomp past you, ignoring you in favour of decimating enemy soldiers. Bug-like drones hover overhead, scanning for prey. And horrifying mommy harvesters scavenge bodies from the debris. As a collection of imagery, it's powerful stuff. As a game that you can play (with up to three pals) it is very rough, and not just around the edges.

Indie developers love making retro-styled games that look like PlayStation games you rented from Blockbuster and blitzed through in a feverish winter weekend. I'm glad, so here's another. Cold And Afraid is a murder mystery that aims to channel the 1990s with chunky characters and lots of lovely dithering. You play a detective out to stop a serial killer with a grisly pattern who's preying on the young women of an unnamed US city. On top of the obligatory tank controls, it aims to have "consequential dialogue choices" and a "Time Event system where you must meet certain people at specific times to forward different story threads". Ah, forgive me, you're here to see the chunky limbs. Here's a recent trailer that shows 'em.

Synduality Echo of Ada release date confirmed in January 2025

Bandai Namco has confirmed the full release date for Synduality: Echo of Ada. The mech-based, action game with survival elements will be available worldwide on January 24, 2025. Japan will get the game on Xbox Series X and PS5 a day earlier on January 23, 2025. The company made the announcement via a new trailer that appeared at the Xbox TGS 2024 Showcase.

Synduality: Echo of Ada will be a mech-based survival action game with PvPvE gameplay. Players will strive to gather materials while fending off monsters with customizable mechs called Coffin Cradles. They can also interact with other players who spawn on the map in either cooperative or hostile manners. Xiahou Dun in Dynasty Warriors Origins TGS 2024 Guandu gameplay footage

Koei Tecmo's Tomohiko Sho shared more details about the next Dynasty Warriors game at Tokyo Game Show 2024. The producer also revealed a list of existing series characters who have been confirmed as playable and selectable companions for the original protagonist of Dynasty Warriors Origins.

While prior series entries went until the Battle of Wuzhang Plains in 234 AD or the Fall of Shu Kingdom in 263 AD, Sho has confirmed that the storyline in Dynasty Warriors Origins will only go until the Battle of Chi Bi / Red Cliffs in 208 AD. However, he also promised that the game's storyline will cover the period in much more detail than before.

In addition, this game's storyline will also have branching routes. The player will ultimately have to decide whether the protagonist will affiliate himself with Liu Bei, Cao Cao, or the Sun family.

Here is the list of existing characters who are confirmed as playable companions in Dynasty Warriors Origins so far:

  • Wei / Cao Cao's faction - Xiahou Dun, Guo Jia, and Zhang Liao
  • Wu / Sun Jian's faction - Huang Gai, Sun Shangxiang, and Zhou Yu
  • Shu / Liu Bei's faction - Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, and Zhao Yun

The stream also showed Tomohiko Sho performing a playthrough of the game in the Battle of Guandu stage. The footage shows more gameplay features that did not appear in the ChinaJoy 2024 presentation, such as a one-on-one duel mode and a spiritual bird's eye view mode. In the latter, the player can check the health bars of other officers while giving orders to the protagonist's own unit.

Dynasty Warriors Origins will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC simultaneously worldwide on January 17, 2025.
