Star Wars Outlaws is in a bit of a pickle. Ubisoft's model of making games that are too big to fail means the severe flaws in its seemingly guaranteed hit combining the open-world scope and mechanics the developer has made its bread and butter in recent years with Star Wars have left the publisher in trouble.…

Dystopian survival game City 20 reveals detailed early access roadmap

Leaving you to fend for yourself in a city isolated by a radioactive leak, City 20 is a vicious and realistic societal sandbox sim that pulls no punches. It's an open-world survival game where resource scarcity reigns supreme, necessitating farming, hunting, and crafting much as in the likes of Rust, Valheim, or Once Human. Yet, it also boasts a Sims style simulation with NPC factions that demand you consider how to approach every situation. Help out as a model citizen, or turn to a life of crime at the risk of severe consequence. Following its launch on Steam and Epic, developer Untold Games details exactly what we can expect over the next few months, with lots to come.

Releasing something on Steam puts you through an entirely unique set of emotions. For the team behind the Starfield Shattered Space DLC that post-launch period has to be excruciating, as the expansion's reviews have plummeted down into the dreaded 'mostly negative' category on Steam.

How to beat Pyramid Head in Silent Hill 2 remake

How do you defeat Pyramid Head in Silent Hill 2? A remake or a remaster is always a great way to bring a new playerbase to a classic game, while also bringing the experience back to existing fans. With the Silent Hill 2 remake, Bloober Team has catered to both audiences by keeping some classic moments faithful to the original and adding some fresh moments to keep returning players on their toes.

One somewhat faithful recreation from the original Silent Hill 2 is the first interactive encounter with the legendary Pyramid Head. This boss battle confused players the first time around due to the horror game enemy's ability to one-hit kill you while you're locked in a small space with him, seemingly unable to do any damage yourself. While the environment has changed somewhat since the old game, the concept hasn't, so here's how to beat Pyramid Head in Silent Hill 2.

Silent Hill 2 motel safe puzzle solution

How do you solve the Silent Hill 2 motel safe puzzle? Silent Hill is rife with puzzles to solve, but few can cause more consternation than the humble safe puzzle. Safe codes in Silent Hill 2 are randomly generated, so there's no straight answer – instead, you need to track down the note to solve it.

Following Maria to her "special place" in Silent Hill 2 takes you through Jacks Inn, a prominent location in the horror game series – there are even a few easter eggs to spot while you're here. However, while Jacks Inn was just a save point in the old game, you won't be able to proceed through it in Bloober's remake without the Silent Hill 2 motel safe code. Thankfully, we can guide you to the note's location and explain the logic to reach its solution.

Silent Hill 2 jukebox puzzle solution

How do you solve the Silent 2 jukebox puzzle? James Sunderland's high-res return to Silent Hill is a long time coming, but it's not exactly a one-to-one recreation. The remake's puzzles are just one major change, and Bloober Team kicks things off with a brand-new headscratcher right out of the gate.

When it comes to puzzles, Silent Hill 2 shares its DNA with old-school adventure games – they can often be obtuse, and demand a specific item to progress. Fans of the original might fare better when dealing with reprising puzzles like the Silent Hill 2 coin puzzle or hanged man puzzle, but the jukebox is a whole new beast. With no memories of the old game to draw upon, you might need a helping hand jumping through all the hoops required to solve it. That's where we come in.

Silent Hill 2 Brookhaven padlock combination puzzle

How do you open the Silent Hill 2 Brookhaven padlock? An apple a day might keep the doctor away, but there's no such remedy when it comes to Silent Hill 2's nurses. Brookhaven Hospital is a location that strikes fear into the heart of any Silent Hill fan, but progressing beyond the hospital's lobby is far trickier in Bloober's remake than in the original.

Silent Hill 2 is as much a puzzle game as it is horror, which can present a bigger challenge to your progression than the enemies themselves. The Silent Hill 2 padlock combination puzzle stands between you and the horrors of this nightmare hospital, and you've got to solve it if you want to reach any of the Silent Hill 2 endings. If you're trapped in the lobby and still feeling stumped, we can walk you through how to find the combination code across all difficulty modes.

Silent Hill 2 remake moth puzzle solution

What is the Silent Hill 2 moth puzzle combination? The moth room in Silent Hill 2 is one of the more memorable moments as one of the apartment rooms that doesn't look like every other - and in which James blindly reaches into a gruesome, squelchy hole.

In the Silent Hill 2 remake, instead of just finding a key and leaving, you must first unlock the door to the bedroom, now sealed with a combination lock in the newer puzzle game. As the noisy eclipse of moths swarms around your head, it can be hard to concentrate, so be sure to look around for every last detail in the Silent Hill 2 moth room, or room 202, and check out our Silent Hill 2 review for more about the horror remake.

Play Throne and Liberty without a gaming PC, thanks to Nvidia

Whether you've already signed up for and started playing Throne and Liberty and want a way to keep playing while away from your gaming PC or you've held off from playing it because you don't have a PC that's fast enough, you no longer need to worry. With the addition of Throne and Liberty to Nvidia GeForce Now, you can play the game on just about any device you can think of, from phones to TVs.

With Throne and Liberty currently blowing up on Steam, jumping high into the top five most-played games on the platform, it's no surprise Nvidia has been quick to add the title to its game streaming service. However, while the new MMPORG might be free-to-play, if you don't have access to a PC - even one without one of the best graphics cards around - you'd normally struggle to get in on the fun. With the game now added to GeForce Now, though, you have many more ways to play.

Silent Hill 2 remake music box puzzle solution

How do you solve the Silent Hill 2 remake music box puzzle? The Silent Hill 2 remake puzzle retains some elements of the original game, for example, the three princesses of classic folklore and their riddles. However, instead of having to decipher which goes where, the remake puzzle has been slightly extended, with two more steps after the statuettes have been placed.

Silent Hill 2 is as much a puzzle game as it is a psychological horror, and that's no more true than in the remake, where these puzzles are somewhat stretched out, as we explore in our Silent Hill 2 remake review. So, whether you've played the original or not, here's some help getting the all-new Silent Hill 2 music box to play once you've collected all three figurines.

Silent Hill 2 remake coin puzzle solution

What is the Silent Hill 2 remake coin puzzle solution? Bloober Team has added more than 100% extra content to Silent Hill 2 with its remake, and some of that content comes in new puzzles, while other extensions have been made to some puzzles themselves.

One such example is the classic coin puzzle from the 20o1 game. In the Silent Hill 2 remake, this puzzle has been made longer and requires a few extra steps, so even if you finished the coin puzzle in the first game, you may still be struggling with the reincarnation of the horror game riddles. Take a look at our Silent Hill 2 review for more about how the game has been expanded, or read on for everything you need to know about solving the Silent Hill 2 coin cabinet puzzle.

Silent Hill 2 roach room combination solution

What is the Silent Hill 2 remake roach room combination? The Silent Hill 2 Historical society might be filled with stunning works of art, but that's not the only thing awaiting you in this part of the town. You might get a few minutes peace in the upstairs area of the museum, but there are plenty of horrors waiting for you downstairs - this is Silent Hill, after all.

At this point, you're nearing the final stages of the horror game, so the puzzles are only getting more difficult. As such, it can be easy to overthink the roach room puzzle when you're suddenly trapped among hundreds of buzzing Silent Hill 2 critters in the puzzle game, but it's simpler than you might think. Here's what you need to know about the Silent Hill 2 creeper room combination lock solution, and this applies to both the original game and the remake.

Windblown early access release date, trailers, and latest news

When is the Windblown release date? This delightful action roguelike from the creators of Dead Cells was announced at The Game Awards 2023, and it immediately stole our attention with its fast-paced combat and colorful cartoon violence. We already know a fair bit about what to expect, so let's dig into all the latest news and trailers.

For those unfamiliar with Dead Cells, Windblown takes on a similar vibrant aesthetic. However, instead of a 2D platform game, Windblown is a 3D top-down action roguelike that still features the satisfying combat and lightning-fast action that we loved in Dead Cells. Motion Twin describes it as "what happens when a rogue-like game guzzles a whole lot of energy drinks, hits the gym, and wears treadmills on its feet." If that sounds right up your alley, here's the latest news surrounding the Windblown early access release date.

Ubisoft have released a big new Star Wars Outlaws patch which, amongst other things, tries to fix and improve the open world game's stealth. I've seen, read, heard, intuited and telepathically detected a lot of complaints about Outlaws stealth, ranging from "it doesn't look realistic when she punches out stormtroopers through their blaster-resistant hats" to "please remove the hide-and-seek entirely, I wishly merely to pew-pew". Seems likely that the patch won't lay all these grievances to rest, to say nothing of the other problems people have with Outlaws. But I'm always interested in how developers Find The Fun in stealth mechanics, given that they are very easily unfun.

Palworld Zoe Boss Palworld PS5 Version Finally Launches in Japan

While the PS5 version of Palworld was a shadowdrop during the PlayStation 5 State of Play on September 24, 2024, it didn't show up in Japan that day. Pocketpair cited "various reasons" as an explanation for it not having a release date for the region. Now it finally debuted in the country on October 4, 2024.

There was again no exact explanation for the PS5 version of the game being delayed in Japan, despite being made available everywhere at the time. The official press release only included an apology for it not being a simultaneous launch.

In case you missed it, here was that Palworld PS5 launch trailer that immediately showed up after the PlayStation 5 State of Play.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mv5t1ycoLaM&ab_channel=Pocketpair

The PS5 version of the game almost immediately launched after a bit of controversy. Nintendo filed a lawsuit against Pocketpair for patent infringement regarding Palworld and Pokemon in Japan. Pocketpair noted it was a surprise for the company when it happened. The game is known for having similar mechanics, as we use balls to catch characters and many of the "monsters" look shockingly similar or nearly identical to ones from Pokemon

Palworld is available in early access on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC worldwide.

tales of graces remastered tales of the abyss remaster

In an interview with IGN, Yuki Ishikawa, the producer of Tales of Graces f Remastered, stated that he's interested in a remaster of Tales of the Abyss. He also commented on future titles that may appear from Bandai Namco. [Thanks, IGN!]

To start with, Ishikawa stated that he is a personal fan of Tales of the Abyss and that he entered Bandai Namco specifically because of it. He stated that if Bandai Namco ever okays a remaster of Tales of the Abyss and Ishikawa could work on it, he would work really hard so that other fans could feel the same joy he felt when playing through that game.

As for the rest of the interview, Ishikawa shared some of the company's ambitions for the Tales IP. A video from Yusuke Tomizawa, the general producer of the series, back in August 2024 already revealed that Graces's popular battle system is why the team decided to make that the first game in its Tales Remastered Project. Ishikawa reiterated that in this interview. He also commented that Tales of Arise was really popular both domestically and internationally, so this is the perfect time to release a remastered title. As well, he commented on how the team discussed bringing back the old 2D games, and how that might be really different for people who liked Arise. It's unclear from this comment if Ishikawa is stating that 2D remasters are a no-go, or a possibility.

If it does happen though, it would allow fans to purchase and play an officially localized version of some older titles. The last 2D mainline title from Tales was Rebirth back in 2004. That's quite literally two decades ago and Rebirth never made it out of Japan anyway. Though characters from these older games still appear in newer titles like Tales of the Rays, a lot of fans who either weren't aware of Tales or weren't even alive back then may not recognize them. A remaster of these older games wouldn't just be great for the fans who played them on their home consoles, but it would be beneficial for newer players as well.

Finally, Ishikawa echoed a sentiment from Tomizawa's video regarding region and language restrictions. The original Tales of Graces f was only available in four languages and it was only on the PS3. If you could understand Japanese, then you could play it on the Wii too, but that was it. With this remaster, between the additional language options and platforms, people who couldn't play it when it initially left Japan will be able to do so. At the end of the interview, Ishikawa assured fans that Arise isn't the final destination for the franchise and there may be a new non-remastered title some time in the future. Nothing concrete yet though.

Tales of Graces f Remastered will come out on January 17, 2025 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC.
