Metaphor Refantazio release date, trailers, gameplay, and latest news

When was the Metaphor Refantazio release date? This is the first new game from Studio Zero, an internal development studio within Atlus made up of former Persona developers. It is set in the United Kingdom of Euchronia, which is coming to terms with the death of its king and a realm without an heir. You are thrust into the contest to determine the next ruler by gaining the trust and popularity of the people. However, surpassing your rivals and claiming the throne will be an uphill struggle for a relatively unknown candidate of "inferior background".

Metaphor Refantazio borrows much of the same sense of style from the Persona RPG games. It primarily opts for turn-based combat systems similar to many JRPGs while including the more familiar social mechanics. Below you'll find all the key info about Metaphor Refantazio, including when it came out. Be sure to consult our glowing Metaphor ReFantazio review if you're contemplating investing in Atlus' latest hit.

Have you ever wanted to drop everything, unplug, and step away from it all to a simple life in a remote, rural village? Already recommended on Steam by 90% of its players, developer Render Cube has just unveiled its next update which includes new town customization and the ability to marry other players.

This magic horseshoe could drop your Intel Arrow Lake gaming CPU temps by 3°C

MSI has shown off a new CPU cooler bracket for Intel Arrow Lake CPUs, which should ensure the new chips achieve the best cooling possible from existing coolers. By employing this new horseshoe-shaped bracket, MSI claims Intel Arrow Lake chips - that's the new upcoming Intel Core Ultra 200S range - can drop in temperature by as much as 3°C.

We first caught wind of this potential new cooler requirement when a rumor suggested the Intel Arrow Lake hot spot location had changed. That's the part of the processor that gets the hottest underneath the metal heatspreader that covers the silicon chips. With Intel's new Arrow Lake CPUs expected to have a shifted hot spot compared to older Raptor Lake processors, buyers of the company's latest best gaming CPU contenders will benefit from getting a bracket such as this one from MSI.

How to farm Diablo 4 Forgotten Souls

How do you farm Forgotten Souls in Diablo 4? Diablo 4 isn't over once you've completed the campaign. There is a whole new world of endgame content to discover, alongside seasonal stories and features, and Helltide events are just one of those post-campaign mechanics. They're also the best way to farm valuable resources including Forgotten Souls.

D4 Forgotten Souls are a D4 salvage item, though the best way to get them in greater quantities is via Helltide events, as you'll need to salvage some pretty valuable gear to even get a chance at seeing a Forgotten Soul. They're used to upgrade Sacred and Ancestral weapons, and you need them in order to perfect your best D4 builds in the RPG game, so here's how to farm Forgotten Souls after Diablo 4 endgame.

All Metaphor ReFantazio followers, abilities, and how to unlock Bonds

How do you unlock the Metaphor ReFantazio followers? The social sim aspect present in some of Atlus' biggest games can be a real headache even for seasoned veterans, as you have to carefully plan your days to max out as many social links with your confidants as possible. Though Metaphor ReFantazio's Bonds system is familiar in many regards, it's so much more forgiving.

In Metaphor ReFantazio, there literally isn't a wrong answer when it comes to chatting with your followers. No matter which dialog option you choose, you are guaranteed to progress to the new Bond rank with them. The only thing these options dictate is how much MAG you get from the conversation, which is negligible - our Metaphor ReFantazio farming guide will sort you out if you need more resources. What is the Silent Hill 2 bracelet puzzle solution? Once you've explored most of Brookhaven hospital, you should have discovered three different patient bracelets. If finding them wasn't hard enough, arranging them on the statue in the director's office is also puzzling, but results in a key item to moving on.

Remembering the Nvidia GeForce 256: the first PC gaming GPU turns 25 today

It's testament to the Nvidia marketing team that one of its buzzwords has now slipped into common parlance. Not only did the 1st-gen Nvidia GeForce 256 introduce us to its now famous GeForce gaming graphics brand, but it also brought the term "GPU" to the gaming PC with it. Now, two and a half decades later, Nvidia is celebrating the GeForce 256's 25th birthday with a video and green popcorn. Here, we look back on what made a true modern classic of the PC era tick.

Back to that term GPU, it's an initialism that we now use as shorthand for any PC graphics chip, as found in the best graphics cards, but it started life on the PC as an Nvidia marketing slogan. To give you an idea of how long ago this was, I was introduced to the term "GPU" by a paper press release the same week I started my first tech journalism job in September 1999.

This new Windows 11 update is stealing gigabytes of storage and there's no fix

A new Windows 11 update is causing havoc to the amount of storage available to millions of users by claiming gigabytes of extra drive space for itself. The latest Windows 11 24H2 update launched just over a week ago, but users are already finding a huge new cache from the update is filling up their drives and, worse still, it can't be removed.

There's been no shortage of problems for gamers with Windows 11 PCs, even if Windows 11 adoption is now higher than Windows 10. The fact is that games are built with Windows in mind as the default option, and the best gaming PCs usually need Windows to play the latest games. With Windows 10 support ending in a matter of days, that leaves the latest Microsoft OS as the only real option for gamers right now, making bad updates like this one an even bigger problem.

After a hard day's editing articles about three Disco Elysium spiritual successors - each more politically outspoken than the last, in a kind of Sophisticated Pooh collage of escalating Marxism - I like to kick back with a nice chill game about Lovecraftian space monsters.

That game is Konafa Game's Starless Abyss - a roguelite tactical deckbuilder published by Descenders and Yes, Your Grace outfit No More Robots. It puts you in command of a fleet of upgradeable spaceships, who must chase away invading Eldritch aliens hex by hex... and also, hex by hex. This is both hex-based and a game in which you can cast hexes, you see. Oh, don't look at me like that. I had to distil several manifestos into an article half-an-hour ago. I need this.

Those two other Disco Elysium "spiritual successors" you read about today were but filthy pretenders, or at best, the thesis and antithesis resulting in this afternoon's triumphant synthesis.* The real Disco Elysium spiritual successor is whatever they're making at Summer Eternal, a just-announced "art collective/RPG studio" founded by a group of, once more with feeling, former Disco Elysium developers.

The press release for this particular Disco Elysiulike has the most actual names on it of the three we've learned about this week. It is also, by some distance, the most outwardly socialist of the lot. It accompanies a website, featuring some blood-red all-caps political manifestos and a fairly exhaustive breakdown of Summer Eternal's workers cooperative structure. Amongst other things, the studio will let people who buy their games form a non-profit within Summer Eternal that gets a share of the revenue, and has a say on company direction.

Final Fantasy XIV Free Login Campaign Returns in October

Square Enix is attempting to lure people back into Final Fantasy XIV again, as it kicked off another one of the Free Login Campaign events for the MMORPG on October 11, 2024. This recurring activity, which we previously saw return back in June 2024, gives players who are currently inactive and not subscribing a chance to play for a few days again.

Here's how it works. If you want to qualify for the Free Login Campaign, your account has to be in the "inactive" state. This means you aren't subscribing and haven't played. If it's been 30 days since you last played and subscribed, which means you have't played since about September 10, 2024, you're good. So long as you owned and played it in the past, you can now come back between October 11-31, 2024.

This promotion gives you basically 96 hours to play Final Fantasy XIV again. The counter starts the second you start taking advantage of the promotion. As such, kicking it off on a Friday (like today) and then having a whole weekend of free time is deal. This is because it isn't 96 hours of total playtime. Rather, you only get four days all together, in a row. So if someone takes advantage of the offer on October 11, 2024, then the last day of their free session will be October 14, 2024.

The Final Fantasy XIV Free Login Campaign started ahead of another two returning events in the MMORPG. The Moogle Treasure Trove: The Hunt for Goetia starts on October 15, 2024. After that, All Saints' Wake kicks off again. That comes back on October 18, 2024 and involves a Halloween-themed outfit and furnishing. So someone taking advantage of the Free Login Campaign may want to wait until October 18, 2024 and also participate in both activities when they come back.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the Free Login Campaign event is in effect again until October 31, 2024.

metaphor refantazio junah figure

Kotobukiya shared an update on Metaphor: ReFantazio merchandise now that the game launched worldwide, as we can see how things are going with the figure of Junah. The heroine, who is one of our playable allies in the game, is currently in the unpainted prototype phase. There's no word on when it will appear yet.

For this Metaphor: ReFantazio figure, Junah is wearing the outfit she dons when exploring the world or takes part in a battle. The pattern on the dress isn't appearing yet, due to the current state of development. As her default Archetype is the Masked Dancer in the game, she's also wielding a fan like the ones she'll fight with when in that role in the RPG.

Here's a closer look at how the figure is coming along. Note that some details could change as it is finalized and goes up for approval.

https://twitter.com/Kotobukiya_EN/status/1844513245039665488

Junah isn't the only Metaphor: ReFantazio figure on the way. Back in September 2024, a number of announcements appeared for characters like the hero and Gallica. The protagonist will be turned into a Nendoroid, and Kotobukiya is also working on a scale figure version of Gallica. Bandai Namco is working on an SH Figuarts figure of the hero as well too.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC worldwide. Kotobukiya is working on figures of Junah and Gallica.

Date Everything Release Date

Comedy dating sim Date Everything has a release date, as announced by developer Sassy Chap Games. It will release for PC and consoles on the appropriate date of February 14, 2025.

In a new release date trailer, lead designer Ray Chase discussed where Date Everything is currently at in its development. The game is currently feature complete, and the team are now performing bug fixes and polishing the visuals of the house environment you'll spend most of the game in.

Metaphor ReFantazio worldwide sales surpass 1 million

Atlus has announced via its Japanese official website and Studio Zero's X account that it has sold over 1 million units of Metaphor: ReFantazio worldwide. This number combines the physical copies shipped with the digital sales across all of the game's platforms—Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
