The 16-core flagship gaming CPU of AMD's Zen 5 Ryzen lineup is expected to offer specs similar to the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, but with a slight boost in all-round performance. With our AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D review showing this chip to be the current absolute best gaming CPU around, there's a lot of reason to be interested in what a 16-core chip based on AMD's latest technology can do. Previous 16-core X3D variants, such as the 7950X3D and 5950X3D, haven't been as fast when it comes to gaming, due to the way the X3D cache is configured. However, there's speculation that the new 16-core chips could use a different X3D configuration, which may untap their gaming performance. PCGamesN Thursday, November 7, 2024 9:05 AM  Your choice of processor will fundamentally affect your PC's frame rates, so you want to make sure you buy the very best gaming CPU you can afford when you're speccing up a new rig. It's your CPU that sets up the frames for your GPU to render in games, making it the foundation of your gaming PC hardware. This is particularly true in the current climate, where there is a substantial difference in the gaming performance of some of the latest CPUs. The two main players are AMD and Intel, and there are now substantial differences between the two companies' CPUs when it comes to gaming. On one level, you're now spoiled for choice when picking the perfect processor for your gaming PC, but you want to make sure you get this choice absolutely right, and that's why we're here to make your search easier. The AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D is the current gaming champ in our own benchmarks, with its predecessor, the 7800X3D a close second. However, the Intel Core i9 14900K still offers solid gaming performance, while also being much faster at other non-gaming tasks, such as video encoding and rendering, making it a better all-rounder. You'll need to make sure you flash the BIOS on your motherboard to the latest version for this CPU, though, to make sure it has the latest Intel CPU fix, and you'll also need to make sure you have a strong CPU cooler and power supply. We currently don't recommend the latest Intel Arrow Lake chips for gaming, however. As we found in our Core Ultra 7 265K review, while these CPUs are great for heavily multi-threaded work, such as 3D rendering, and they're very power-efficient, they're substantially slower than AMD's latest chips, and Intel's last-gen options, when it comes to gaming. We suggest going for a CPU with at least six cores for gaming, and in most cases more than eight cores is overkill. Hexacore chips are now the standard among gamers, and a growing number of AAA PC games expect as much. There are great current generation options that fit this bill, such as the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, but if you're on a tight budget, even a cheap CPU such as the Intel Core i5 12400F will do the job fine for a basic gaming PC. All this, plus various daft psychological war gambits of my own devising. When overtaking or being overtaken, I used to seal my lips shut on that side and breath through the other corner of my mouth, to make it look like I was hardly out of breath at all. |

Some days, you simply must feast on a tree frog, and while we still don't have a solid release date, that day doesn't feel too far away. Good news for stealth fans, and perhaps gooder news for a dozen strapline writers sweating profusely, soiling themselves in anticipation of using "kept you waiting, huh?". Until then, I at least have a steady drip feed of new information to keep me sated, the latest of which is the substantial hint that there'll be some new dialogue in the game, as per the video below. Alongside that, the previously pseudonymous Suzetta Miñet - who was credited with voicing EVA in MGS3 and Peace Walker - has revealed herself to be Jodi Benson, the voice of Ariel in Disney's The Little Mermaid. First Stage Production EN will launch five new VTubers on November 16, 2024. There is also a teaser trailer hinting at the new performers joining the company.

The trailer is short, at just over twenty seconds long. It gives a quick overview of all the VTubers who'll be debuting from First Stage Production, though you can only see their silhouettes. It looks like all five of them will have male designs, which is similar to the existing first generation. Of course, until First Stage Production gives more information on them, it's still much too early to tell.
The first generation of First Stage Production EN debuted in January 2024. They are: Rosco Graves, Zander Netherbrand, Lucien Lunaris, Cassian Floros, and Gale galleon. The Japanese side of the company has female VTubers as well, so the company as a whole doesn't specialize in male designs or male-presenting streamers. That the first generation of an EN branch comprise entirely of male-presenting VTubers is similar to when Nijisanji EN debuted Luxiem in 2021.
Reality Studios Inc. (which also manages Specialite, Vebop Project, and RK Music) established First Stage Production in 2023, making it a relatively new agency. Though the entire first generation on the Japanese side retired already, the agency still has over twenty talents. That's on the JP side alone.
The second generation of VTubers for First Stage Production EN will debut on November 16, 2024. More information on them and the streaming schedule will likely appear before that date.
