Reports suggest that the rumored next-gen flagship AMD Radeon RX 8800 XT graphics card might even match the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 in ray tracing performance. If this proves to be true, it would be a big win for AMD, which recently announced it was abandoning high-end Radeon GPUs entirely. Plans or not, a card that can level with an RTX 4080 is a powerful one indeed, and could upend the best graphics card market with a genuine competitor after years of Nvidia's near-total dominance. "[We've] not been able to attract and retain enough players in the long run to compete at the level we aim for in the very demanding free-to-play FPS market," said Ubisoft executive Marie-Sophie de Waubert in a statement to workers that was later posted on Ubisoft's website. Over half the team who worked on the game will lose their jobs at Ubi studios in San Francisco, Osaka, and Sydney. The remaining workers are "transitioning to other roles within Ubisoft." |

Khara and Sunrise announced Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, which will be an all-new Gundam anime series. Hideaki Anno of Neon Genesis Evangelion fame is one of the people working on the storyboard for the new Gundam show.

The trailer starts with protagonist Amate Yuzuriha describing and showing life in a colony. She then learns from war refugee Nyaan what Clan Battles are. They're illegal duels in which pilots face off against each other in their Gundams. She participates in these Clan Battles under the name of "Machu" until one day, she meets a mysterious pilot named Shuji. Shuji is being pursued by the authorities. Like The Witch From Mercury, this new Gundam show will star a female protagonist.

As mentioned earlier, Hideaki Anno is working on this Gundam storyboard. Other major staff members include director Kazuya Tsurumaki (FLCL), script supervisor Yoji Enokido (Bungo Stray Dogs), and mechanical designer Ikuto Yamashita (Neon Genesis Evangelion). Illustrator Take, who previously designed for Pokemon Sun & Moon, Fate/Grand Order, and Katanagatari is the character designer.
Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX is in production. A re-edited version of the first few episodes will appear in Japanese theaters under the title Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX - Beginning - on January 17, 2025. More information on international releases will come out in the future.

Aniplex and Crunchyroll announced there will be new information revealed about the Demon Slayer anime series. The companies revealed two new showcases set to air on December 9, 2024.
The first showcase will be held between 2:45am and 3:30am JST from the Crunchyroll Brazil official YouTube channel. That will end up being about 9:45am PT/12:45pm ET on December 8, 2024. The showcase will feature a Demon Slayer anime panel being held at the 2024 Comic Con Experience (CCXP) in São Paulo, Brazil.
Meanwhile, the second showcase will last 30 minutes and will be held online from 3am JST on the Aniplex official YouTube channel in Japan. That is 10am PT/1pm ET on December 8, 2024.
Additionally, Takahiro Sakurai and Kengo Kawanishi, the Japanese voice actors for Giyu Tomioka and Muichiro Tokito respectively will appear at CCXP 2024 as guest speakers alongside Daniel Figueira, the Brazilian voice actor for Demon Slayer protagonist Tanjiro Kamado. The link for the Crunchyroll Brazil showcase of the Demon Slayer anime series will be released at a later ahead and ahead of the event.

There is no indication of what kind of Demon Slayer anime information will appear during either of the showcases. Season 3 of the anime aired between April and June 2023, followed by season 4 between May and June 2024. We also saw the Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training movie debut in February 2024. So this could pertain to new details about the anime adaptation.
The Demon Slayer anime can be found on Crunchyroll and Netflix and the Hashira Training Arc season 4 aired in English and other languages on Crunchyroll on May 12, 2024. Viz Media handles the manga outside Japan.
