This set will come with two Blu-Rays, as well as: a 35 mm film frame from the late 1990s depicting protagonist Mima, a booklet that includes the production process from Satoshi Kon's blog Kon's Tone, and a postcard set. Amazon JP is offering an exclusive bonus if you order from there. You'll be able to get a replica of a theatrical pamphlet from the late 1990s.
Perfect Blue is an influential and well-received work that came out around 25 years ago in 1998. Madhouse produced it, and the late Satoshi Kon (Paprika, Paranoia Agent) directed it. It follows the story of Mima Kirigoe, a former J-pop idol who left her group in order to become an actress. A stalker begins to pursue Mima, which, combined with other stressors in her professional life, causes Mima to suffer from psychosis. People around Mima then start getting murdered, and Mima realizes that she's the prime suspect.

Sanrio announced that the upcoming "Sanrio Virtual Festival 2025 in MetaMe" will feature VTuber Moona Hoshinova from Hololive Indonesia as a performing guest. The Sanrio Virtual Festival 2025 is a VR event featuring various artist, and the MetaMe collaboration event will be held from February 16, 2025.
Moona Hoshinova will perform as part of the Sanrio Virtual Festival 2025 in MetaMe alongside other artists, including Pmarusama, Mashumairesh!!, band DOKONJOFINGER, V4Mirai, and Haneru Inaba. Moona will perform on several timeslots, and these include February 23 and March 1, 2025 1-hour slots shared with V4Mirai. Meanwhile, the March 9, 15, and 17 performances are 3 hours long and they feature the rest of the performers.
The Sanrio Virtual Festival 2025 event will be held between February 9 and March 9, 2025. The event can be experienced via the VRChat game using both VR functions on PC as well as in desktop mode for those that don't own VR headsets. Additionally, the game is available on smartphones, and the event will be livestreamed. Moona Hoshinova is a VTuber talent from Hololive ID and she made her debut on April 2020 as part of the first generation of Indonesian VTubers for the group.

Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has influenced not just manga and anime, but video games as well. Some of the most popular series from Shonen Jump have gone on to make some of the best anime video games of all time. Best Shonen Jump Anime Games: Dragon Ball FighterZ
I could sit here all day with just Dragon Ball adaptations filling this list, but I will try to refrain from including too many. When it comes to arguably the best anime video game of all time, though, Dragon Ball FighterZ is right up there. It is perhaps the most visually impressive anime game adaptation, with a stunning recreation of the anime's style.
And that is before including the actual content itself. The fighting gameplay performs incredibly, allowing for some of the richest possibilities in the medium. No other anime fighting game comes close.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel
There are far too many Yu-Gi-Oh games, but few in recent times have succeeded as well as Master Duel. Being free-to-play and available literally everywhere, anyone can pick it up and try it out. It adapts the card game from the beloved manga and anime series well, with an unbelievable amount of cards and tons of endless depth for creating decks. There is a reason this has tens of millions of downloads to date.
Fairy Tail
There are arguably not enough anime RPGs these days. One of the few notable exceptions in recent memory is Fairy Tail, which has a sequel almost here at the time of writing. The turn-based combat plays pretty well, with a heavy focus on a grid-style attack system. You can feel the behind-the-scenes engine of the beloved Atelier series but with an adaptation of the best part of the Fairy Tail storyline.
J-Stars Victory VS
There are a few Weekly Shonen Jump-specific video games that bring together countless characters from across the many series in the magazine. Sadly, almost all of them are pretty bad or forgettable. J-Stars Victory VS has some rough edges, but it looks great and plays decently enough. Though it would be nice to have some better gameplay variations between characters, it is nonstop madness seeing characters like Goku fighting Saiki from Saiki K.

Atlus announced it updated its Amazon storefront, with the product pages there now selling an array of new shirts and clothing with Persona 5 Royal, Metaphor: ReFantazio, and Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance art on them now. There are 19 items being sold online, with most being t-shirts or hoodies. However, there is also one stainless steel Persona 5 Royal tumbler for $21.99 too. All clothing is Amazon on demand merchandise where you determine the fit and colors.
While there are different types of clothing available, many of the different types of Persona 5 Royal, Metaphor: ReFantazio, and Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance shirts share the same art on Amazon. For example, the Joker Take Your Heart design is on a $19.99 t-shirt, a $27.99 long-sleeved t-shirt, a $36.99 sweatshirt, and a $39.99 pullover hoodie.
When it comes to Metaphor: ReFantazio, there are two different pieces of art as the primary design. One is called Key Art Trio, and it is available with a black or white logo. That is available in darker t-shirts for $19.99, in white or grey t-shirts for $19.99, or a pullover hoodie for $39.99. The PQube Asia Showcase just revealed games we'll see from the company in 2025, and there were a lot of new otome titles and visual novels in the collection. In addition, it also picked up the Class of Heroes 3 Remaster of the familiar JRPG and action games like Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark and Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate.
The presentation involved a mix of completely new reveals and updates on games we already knew were in development. Many of the PQube reveals involved new otome games, visual novels, or titles with dating sim elements. To make things easier, here are all the reveals for those types of games.
Of those, Death Match Love Comedy is especially notable, as it is a Kemco visual novel about avoiding finding love and being paired up.
As for the other PQube games, they fall into a mix of genres. For example, we have action games like Gal Guardians and the new Phantom Breaker. Class of Heroes 3 Remaster is a JRPG dungeon-crawler with an academy setting. Meanwhile, K-Pop Idol Stories: Road to Debut is somewhat Idolmaster like, as you are building up a K-Pop group.

A new Digimon event for the 25th anniversary of the anime will be held in Tokyo, Japan, and it will take place between January 4, 2025 and February 11, 2025. Under the title of "Digimon Animation 25th Anniversary in DiverCity Tokyo Plaza" event will be DiverCity Tokyo Plaza located in Odaiba.
An original clear file folder will be given as a bonus for participating in a stamp rally and shopping at some of the stores in DiverCity Tokyo Plaza. Participants that get all of the nine stamps and show tickets with a single purchase of over 1,000 yen (~$6.55.) Additionally, a Digimon 25th anniversary food truck offering themed foods will be available during weekends and public holidays.
Various photos spots with the characters of the 9 main Digimon anime series will be available at the venue as well. Furthermore, the voice of the popular character Agumon will make announcements through the venue's PA system for the duration of the event. A new special PV for the 25th anniversary will also appear at the venue, alongside "Butter-Fly," the opening theme song of Digimon Adventure and other Digimon videos.
Other events have appeared for the 25th anniversary of the Digimon anime, such as Digimon Adventure exhibition that was held in Tokyo between August 10-25, 2024 and later in Osaka between October 5-20, 2024, as well as a special promotional video exclusively made for the anniversary celebration.
The "Digimon Animation 25th Anniversary in DiverCity Tokyo Plaza" event will be held in DiverCity Tokyo Plaza between January 4, 2025 and February 11, 2025. The anime is streaming on Hulu.

Hololive Vtuber Hakos Baelz announced on social media she will start an endurance stream that will run until she reaches one million subscribers on YouTube at 5pm PT/8pm ET on December 11, 2024. As of 12pm ET on December 11, 2024, she is currently at around 995,000 subscribers.
An endurance stream is fairly self-explanatory. The performer in question stays live until they hit a certain milestone. They may play games, bring in guests, or take part in other activities while they wait for the moment to come. In the case of the Hakos Baelz endurance stream, she already established in the announcement that a part of this one will involve the Hololive Vtuber singing.

The Hololive Vtuber is well known for her singing ability, as she's released a number of original songs and covers. One of her most recent ones is a cover of "Kokoronashi," the GUMI Vocaloid song. She also did a cover of the Saga of Tanya the Evil song "Los! Los! Los!" Some of her last original songs are "R x R x R," "Eien," and "Color." Her last few gaming streams involved her playing Yakuza 4. She's part of the Hololive Promise unit alongside Ceres Fauna, Nanashi Mumei, Ouro Kronii, and IRyS.

There's a new version of the whale Pokemon Wailord plush, and it is over two feet long. The Pokemon Center is now taking orders for the stuffed animal, which costs $49.99. It should start shipping immediately, and it does qualify for free shipping since that offer kicks in when a purchase costs $20 or more.
This Wailord clocks in at 26 inches long. It's a foot wide and only just over six inches tall, however. The Pokemon Center notes it is a part of the Poke Plush time. This isn't the biggest Wailord plush, as a previous version of the Pokemon was over four feet long. That one launched in 2023. While there's still a listing for that $419.99 version on the official site, it is sold out.

Nintendo has released an overview trailer for Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, detailing what players can expect. The trailer has released a month before the game launches on Switch on January 16, 2025.
While the trailer contains a lot of details, many of these details will already be familiar to those who played Donkey Kong Country Returns on either the Wii or the 3DS. The game will feature all the locations from the original game, with the trailer highlighting the Jungle, Beach, Ruins, Factory and Volcano worlds. The secret levels, unlocking by collecting the KONG letters, will also return. Players will be able to use a standard button layout similar to the 3DS version or use the Joy-Con motion controls similar to the original Wii release.
While the overview trailer didn't show many new features for Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, it did show a new difficulty mode that will be added to the game. Modern Mode will grant players a higher health pool, now giving the player three hearts per Kong instead of two. It will also allow players to carry a higher number of items from Crank Kong's Shop. These items will include those added for the 3DS version, as the Green Balloon was shown off in the trailer.
Donkey Kong Country Returns HD was announced during the June 2024 Nintendo Direct. When it releases, all Donkey Kong Country games will be playable on the Switch, as Tropical Freeze was already ported while the original SNES games have all been added to Nintendo Switch Online.
