Square Enix once again paid tribute to the polygonal, blocky FFXIV Endwalker grapes, this time with a Labyrinthos Grape Lamppost. The new outdoor furnishing item appeared in patch 6.55 part 2.
The Labyrinthos Grape Lamppost can only be placed outside of housing. So if you don't have a home where you can put outdoor furnishing, you can't display it. It is something someone can craft. The "lamp" part of it is designed to look like the Labyrinthos area's blocky grapes. These appeared like that briefly in FFXIV Endwalker, though patch 6.01 fixed their appearance. Someone can't buy them, and you can't place them in an armoire or glamour dresser. It can be desynthesized by an Alchemist, however.
The official description for them continues to play with how the FFXIV Endwalker grapes ended up becoming a meme. So much so that LINE stickers and a Las Vegas Fan Fest 2023 stress ball were designed to look like them.

Patch 6.55 Part 2 is now live for Final Fantasy XIV, and Square Enix shared the patch notes detailing what it has brought to the game. The release date for the patch was revealed earlier this month at the 2024 Fan Fest in Tokyo.
As well as the usual bug fixes and balance changes, the big addition in this patch is the new Gilded Araya trial. The Gilded Araya was previously available to fight as a challenge battle at Fan Festival events in the North America, Europe, and Japan. This trial requires an item level of at least 625 and is tackled with a team of eight players.
Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.55 also brings three new main scenario quests for players that have reached level 90 and are up-to-date with the story. This is now when the game begins to set the stage for the upcoming Dawntrail expansion.
New additions to the Manderville Weapons, Tataru's Grand Endeavour, and Somehow Further Hildebrand Adventures side-questlines have also been added, along with 2 quests in the Tribal Alliance series. Additionally, there are new rewards available in the Golden Saucer, new cards for the Triple Triad minigame, and a multitude of resolved technical issues.
Square Enix also recently announced a new meister-quality figurine featuring the primals Zodiark and Hydaelyn, which includes an emote usable in the game itself. The company also announced a new Warrior of Light-themed Wine bottle in collaboration with The Prisoner Wine Company.
Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.55 is now available to download for PC, PS4, PS5, and will arrive on Xbox Series X sometime in Spring, 2024.

Crunchyroll announced the Solo Leveling anime English dub release date, as well as many of the voice actors for the show. It will begin airing on the subscription service on January 20, 2024.
Here is the full list of Solo Leveling anime English dub voice actors so far, with Aleks Le in the starring role as Sung Jinwoo:
And here's a chance to hear some of them in the trailer going over the English dub. It also features some of the early scenes from the show and offers details about the show's plot.
As a reminder, Solo Leveling already began airing on Crunchyroll. A new simulcast episode appears every Saturday on the subscription service. The second one appeared on January 13, 2024, and episode three is expected to debut on January 20, 2024. So the dub is about two weeks behind.
The Solo Leveling anime is airing now. Its English dub debuts on January 20, 2024. The light novel, manhwa, and audiobook are handled by Yen Press outside of Japan.

Good Smile Company announced its Snow Miku Harmonia Humming doll will launch in January 2025 in Japan and Q2 2025 worldwide. The doll, based on the variant design of Hatsune Miku, will cost ¥30,000/$198.99, and pre-orders are open now.
Like all of the Harmonia Humming line, this is a 1/8 scale doll based on the character. It is based on traditional Snow Miku outfits. That means instead of the primary colors being black, grey, and turquoise, they are shades of blue, silver, and white. She stands at over seven and a half inches tall and comes with a stand. She's also articulated, like all dolls in this line, with people able to pose her arms, legs, and head. Her eyes can also be adjusted.
The Snow Miku will come with her full outfit. People get a top, skirt, hair clips, gloves, arm covers, boots, a scarf, and a headset. These could be used with other Harmonia Humming dolls.

It is quite common for Good Smile Company to release Snow Miku merchandise. Each year, there are different Nendoroids and figmas. It even has people vote on the designs contributed by artists each year that will inspire the latest figures.
The Snow Miku Harmonia Humming doll will debut in January 2025 in Japan and Q2 2025 in North America. Pre-orders are open until February 29, 2024.

A demo is now available for Koei Tecmo and Omega Force's Fate/Samurai Remnant, allowing interested players to get a taste of the game before buying. The demo is available on the PC, PS4, PS5, and Switch, and it offers the option to carry over save data to the full game.
Fate/Samurai Remnant is a story-heavy RPG with Musou series-style combat set in Type Moon's Fate universe. In it, magic users summon the spirits of historical and mythological figures to fight for wishes from the Holy Grail. This time the action is set in 1600s Edo and follows Miyamoto Iori, the disciple of legendary swordmaster Miyamoto Musashi, as he becomes entangled in the Waxing Moon ritual.
Covering the game's introductory section, the demo will include the initial conflict between Iori and the mysterious enemy Rider-class servant, his summoning of his own Saber-class servant, and some exploration of the game's initial area of Edo. Saved data from playing the demo can then by carried over to the full game if players wish to continue.

Koei Tecmo also released a trailer for the upcoming first DLC pack for Fate/Samurai Remnant, titled Record's Fragment: Keian Command Championship. The playable Saber from the game also recently appeared in Fate/Grand Order as a summonable servant.
Both the demo and full version of Fate/Samurai Remnant are available now on PC, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.

Larian Studios released Hotfix 17 for Baldur's Gate 3, and it fixes an issue with Gale. However, this is primarily a small update designed to address a few issues around saves and a couple of story adjustments.
The biggest addition to Hotfix 17 is a change to the behavior for Gale as part of his Baldur's Gate 3 storyline. Due to a bug, players found him leaving the party instantly if they fail to offer him any magical items, even temporarily. This has been adjusted so that he will only do this if you make it clear you never intend to give him magical items to snack on. He will no longer leave if you simply don't have anything on hand in that exact moment.
Hotfix 17 also fixes a few issues related to Baldur's Gate 3 save files. These include reducing the size of save files that were registering summons that no longer exist in the game world. Save files overall are also getting increased compression, reducing their sizes. This also aims to fix errors that occurred due to large save sizes. This includes an error specific to the PS5 version where large file sizes would prevent players from being able to save again.
While Hotfix 17 is a much smaller update than the previous patch for Baldur's Gate 3, there are still a small selection of other bug fixes too. An issue involving mods to character resources has been addressed. In addition, some camera glitches have been fixed, where the camera would zoom in on characters jumping or casting projectile spells.

Persona 3 Reload and Palworld are among the latest games announced for Xbox Game Pass by Microsoft. They are part of five games releasing in the second half of January 2024, and two games announced for February 2024.
Here are all the new Xbox Game pass releases for the second half of January 2024:
Persona 3 Reload will be a day one release on Game Pass for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. It's the remake of Atlus' classic RPG about a team of students dealing with the Dark Hour that emerges at midnight every night. TIt arrives on Xbox Game Pass not long after the previous version of the game, Persona 3 Portable, was removed after a year on the service. he game will also release for Steam, PS4 and PS5 on the same day.
Palworld is an open world game inspired by Pokemon. You can collect Pals who can help you build farms and factories as you survive in a harsh world. Palworld will be releasing as an Xbox Game Preview through Game Pass on day one, alongside an Early Access release on Steam.
Only one game will be removed from Xbox Game Pass in the second half of January 2024. Hitman: World of Assassination will be leaving on January 31, 2024.
The new additions to the Xbox Game Pass library join eight games that released in the first half of January 2024, including Resident Evil 2 Remake and Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Once again the FFXIV FFXI The Maiden's Rhapsody event will appear in the game. This time, it will run between January 22, 2024 and February 5, 2024.
This is an established event that showed up multiple times since its November 2015 debut. As the official site pointed out, it returned in 2017, 2020, and 2022. As such, the reward is the same, you can continue if you didn't finish last time, and you can see it again with Seasonal Event Replay.
To take part, in case you haven't completed it before, you need to go to X:11.6, Y:11.2 at the Upper Decks of Limsa Lominsa. Remumu will be there, and you can talk to her to start "A Journey to Remember." You must have a class or job at level 30 to take it.
Once you go through the quest, you'll be able to earn a set of FFXIV armor inspired by Iroha from FFXI. You get the Amatsu Hachigane, Amatsu Haidate, Amatsu Sune-ate, Amatsu Tekko, and Amatsu Togi. These items can't be dyed. However, they are projectable.

Nijisanji Vtuber Pomu Rainpuff revealed her last schedule before her graduation on social media. It started on January 15, 2024 and will run until January 19, 2024 when she goes off line and leaves the company.
There are a mix of collabs, karaoke, and final zatsudans. She also announced that the music video for her last original song "Please" will appear on January 17, 2024. On January 16, 2024, her final Pokemon Black Chandelure challenge stream will air, followed by a last LazuLight collab with Elira Pendora and Finana Ryugu.

As a reminder, Pomu Rainpuff and Nijisanji announced her graduation back on January 5, 2024. Her videos will remain online after that happens, and people can still send in fan letters until February 20, 2024. It will still be possible to buy merchandise for her for a limited time, though Anycolor didn't state when sales will end.
