The game's Affinity system saw NPCs organically forming an attachment to players when you interacted with them, gave them things or carried out tasks for them. Towards the conclusion, one NPC is selected as "Beloved" and promptly abducted by a dragon for you to quest forth and rescue. There are a few characters who are positioned more obviously as romanceables, but the brilliance of the system is that you can raise your Affinity with pretty much anybody. If you want to finish the game staring passionately into the eyes of the court jester or that hearty bloke who runs the armour shop, it's within your power. |

The official merchandise for the game is slated to release on April 24, 2024. A recent leak suggests that Tite Kubo will be making a major Bleach announcement in the upcoming issue of Weekly Shonen Jump. Weekly Shonen Jump No. 16 is slated to feature the upcoming Bleach announcement, and that is expected to appear on March 16, 2024. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089!] It is currently unknown if the Bleach announcement will be in relation to the manga, which ended its serialization back on August 22, 2016. It could also pertain to the ongoing anime adaption of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War. Tite Kubo is also behind the spin-off Burn the Witch. Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War began airing worldwide on October 11, 2022, and follows Thousand-Year Blood War arc of the manga series. This adaption of the final arc of the manga series came ten years after the original anime series aired in Japan. The previous season of the anime covering the Fullbringer arc finished airing in March 2012 in Japan. Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 1 and Part 2 are currently available on Hulu in the United States and Disney+ worldwide for streaming. There are currently 26 episodes total in the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime adaption. Part 3 of the ongoing anime series will release in 2024. Back in December 2023 during Jump Festa 2024, Shueisha revealed plans to release a new Rukia and Renji audiobook based on the 2016 novel We Do Knot Always Love You that focused on the marriage of Rukia Kuchiki and Renji Abarai. McDonald's Japan announced on social media the release of a new limited-time line of perfume that smells like McFries. There will be three different fragrances (or flavors) available, and these are plum nori seaweed salt, garlic black pepper mayo seasoning, and regular salted McFries.
At the time of writing, there is no information on when the perfumes will release nor how much they will cost. Each bottle will have a different design and shape, with the McFries fragrance imitating the iconic red and yellow package design, and the plum nori seaweed salt and garlick black pepper mayo fragrances replicating the design of the Shaka Shaka Potatoes.
The Shaka Shaka Potatoes are exclusive to McDonald's Japan, and they are named like this because of the sound the bag makes when shaking it to spread the various flavored seasonings available. McDonald's Japan revealed the new perfume on their X (formerly Twitter) official account.
Despite the surreal angle of the post, the McDonald's Japan X account has been reliable on informing about new collaboration and releases, and there is no reason to believe that this post could be a joke. You can take a better look at the McDonald's Japan french fry perfume bottles here:
McDonald's Japan is well known for releasing all kinds of collaborations and Happy Meal toys. The company's latest collaboration includes Kirby and Pompompurin Happy Meal toys, and the company recently revealed that it has run out of Kirby toys earlier than expected. Other recent collaborations include a Spy x Family Happy Meal set, a Christmas 2023 collaboration with Fate/Grand Order, and the celebration of Hello Kitty's 50th Anniversary.

Niantic and The Pokemon Company International announced Pokemon GO Fest will come to Sendai, Japan, Madrid, Spain, and NYC, New York and dates for each location ahead of the July 2024 global event. Things kick off May 30, 2024 in Japan, and things end on July 14, 2024 worldwide.
The Sendai event will happen first between May 30, 2024 and June 2, 2024. Morning and afternoon experiences are available, with each involving visits to Nanakita Park. The early bird price on tickets is ¥3,100, but those will be ¥3,600 after the promotion ends.
Madrid's event runs June 14-16, 2024. Again, it's divided into morning and afternoon parts set at Parque Juan Carlos I and in Madrid proper. The early bird price is €27, and it's €32 once that offer expires.
The New York City event runs July 5-7, 2024. In addition to the city, Randall's Island Park will be one of the settings for it. That's $25 if someone buys during the early bird period, and $30 outside of it. Again, morning and afternoon experiences are offered.
Finally, the Pokemon GO Fest Global experience will take place July 13-14, 2024. You don't need a ticket to take part, but those who do buy a ticket will get to take part in the Marshadow GO Fest 2024 Special Research, an avatar item, and a badge.
Pokemon GO is available on Android and Apple iOS devices. Pokemon GO Fest 2024 will begin in Sendai on May 30, 2024.

Square Enix announced the release of a new FFVII Rebirth filter on TikTok that makes pets cosplay as Cait Sith in celebration of the game's recent release. Director Naoki Hamaguchi tested the filter on his cat Musashi, who also served as the model for the cats appearing in FFVII Rebirth.

To access the new TikTok filter all you have to do is open the app and input the search term "Cait Sith Pet Filter" on the filters tab. In addition, the new Cait Sith filter doesn't only work with cats, as the Square Enix Germany official TikTok account shared a short video using the filter on a dog.
Similar to the new FFVII Rebirth filter, Square Enix celebrated the release of NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 back in April 2021 with the release of an Instagram filter that allows users to make their face look like Emil's from the NieR series, which also happens to be Yoko Taro's iconic mask.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is available on the PlayStation 5, with the exclusivity arrangement ending on May 29, 2024.

Square Enix announced that for 2024, the FFXIV Little Ladies' Day Hinamatsuri and Hatching-tide Easter events will be combined They will kick off together on March 14, 2024.
The requirements to take part aren't too strict. You just need to finish "The Gridianian Envoy," "The Lominsan Envoy," or "The Ul'dahn Envoy" and be at level 15. If so, you can head to Old Gridania and meet Jihli Aliapoh at X:10.2, Y:9.4. You can then get "The Princesses and the Eggs" quest. Completing it gets you the Peatie Horn for the new event mount. The Dreamer and Royal Handmaiden will also have some past event furnishings and items for people to pick up.

Traditionally, these event shave appeared separately in the past. In 2023, Little Ladies' Day appeared on March 1, 2023. Hatching-tide that year started on March 27, 2023.
Final Fantasy XIV is available on the PS4, PS5, and PC, with the Xbox Series X version launching on March 21, 2024. Dawntrail will arrive in Summer 2024, with more news on that coming at PAX East 2024. The FFXIV Little Ladies' Day and Hatching-tide 2024 event will begin on March 14, 2024, then end on April 1, 2024.

Daft Punk is the latest music group to get a Beat Saber Music Pack, and the full list of songs for the DLC appeared. It features 10 tracks from the duo.
The new Music Pack costs $12.99 on various storefronts. The DLC covers the performers' careerfrom the early days. For example, the 1997 track "Around the World" appears, as does the 2013 track "Lose Yourself to Dance" with Pharrell Williams. Three of the songs are live versions from performances in 2007. Songs can be bought piecemeal for $1.99 each.

There's also a teaser trailer for the Daft Punk Music Pack. However, it doesn't offer an idea of how all 10 songs will look in the game. Instead, it only highlights part of "Get Lucky" with Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers.
The last music drop for Beat Saber involved some free songs being added. Original Soundtrack 6 appeared back in December 2023.
Beat Saber is out on the PSVR and PSVR2, Meta Quest 2 and 3, and other VR headsets via Steam, and the Daft Punk Music Pack is available now.

Overwatch 2 announced a Cowboy Bebop collaboration which will feature new skins, emotes, and highlight intros for a variety of popular heroes in the game including Cassidy, Ashe, Maura, Sombra, and Wrecking Ball. The upcoming collaboration is set to begin in on March 12, 2024 in the free-to-play game. The Cowboy Bebop collaboration will feature paid and free skins based on the lead characters of the iconic anime series. For the paid skins, Cassidy will receive a Spike Spiegel skin, Ashe will receive a Fay Valentine skin, Mauga will receive a Jet Black skin, and Sombra will receive an Ed skin. Overwatch 2 players will be able to obtain Wrecking Ball's Ein skin for free by earning it in-game. Alongside the skins, players will also obtain special emotes and highlight intros based on Cowboy Bebop. Uniqlo is now selling Naruto Shippuden shirts and sweatshirts in-store and online. There are 10 products total, with all being unisex styles in adult sizes.
Six of the new Uniqlo options are t-shirts. These are $24.90 each and appear in sizes XXS through XXXL. Some of the featured characters here are Naruto, Itachi, Naruto's parents, Akatsuki, and Kurama. Almost every shirt has designs on the front and back, with the beige Naruto and red Akatsuki ones being the only exceptions.
Here is how the Naruto shirts look. In the case of shirts with designs on the front and back, the larger design is across the back.
With the sweatshirts, they cost $39.90 and also appear in XXS through XXXL. The Akatsuki and Kurama designs here are both different versions of the ones available in the t-shirts section, while there are two other Itachi and Naruto ones. The beige Naruto and white Kurama ones feature designs on the front and back.

It's been a while since we'd seen some Naruto shirts at Uniqlo, and the last batch included references to the original series, Shippuden, and Boruto. Those appeared in June 2023. So far in 2024, we've seen Chiikawa and Sanrio, Metal Gear, and Capcom shirts there.

Tama Art University Bureau will run another Pokemon art education exhibit in Tokyo, Japan, from late March 2024 to early April 2024. It will also hold special workshop sessions where people can design their own Poke Ball.
In this workshop, the university will provide Poke Ball parts made of fireworks shells from used cardboard. The parts will also come with a mechanism that lets people actually open and close the balls. Participants will be able to draw any design they want on the Poke Balls.
The university will open reservations for the workshop on March 14, 2024, at noon JST. People will be able to apply for free on a first-come-first-served basis. However, the organizers will only accept reservations made in the name of elementary school students, and only a parent or guardian may accompany each of them. The workshop will have three separate sessions on March 30, 2024, and April 6, 2024. Each session can host up to 15 participants.
The workshop will appear as a part of the "Think with Pokemon: Art & Environment Education 2" exhibition. Students from the university will showcase Pokemon Upcycling Sculptures made with unconventional materials at the main exhibit. One of the new examples shown is a Pansage sculpture made with Crocs clogs, toy trains, balls, cords, and a pump. Another one features a Lugia statue crafted from a keyboard, steering controllers, and cords.
This will be the second time Tama Art University Bureau holds a Pokemon art education exhibit. It previously launched the first event between late March 2023 and early April 2023. It also included the Poke Ball design workshop that ran on April 1 and 8, 2023.
The "Think with Pokemon: Art & Environment Education 2" exhibition will take place at the Tokyo Midtown Design Hub from March 28, 2024, to April 6, 2024. The Poke Ball design workshop will be held at the same location on March 30, 2024, and April 6, 2024.

NIS America announced it picked up another Gotcha Gotcha Games game, as it is behind the worldwide release of RPG Maker With for the Switch, PS4, and PS5. It will be on the Switch globally first in Fall 2024, with Sony's consoles getting it in 2025.
We've known about this title for a bit, as it was announced in Japan first. As indicated by the word "with" in the title, the game creation gimmick in this entry involves creating with other people. While we don't have a US release date yet, Gotcha Gotcha Games announced it'd show up in Japan on April 11, 2024. The PS4 and PS5 versions don't have a release date there yet.
There's a first trailer, to introduce how the creation tool will work. The official global website is live as well. That confirms English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish will be supported languages in the worldwide launch.
It isn't uncommon for NIS America to pick up games in this series. It also released RPG Maker Fes for the 3DS and RPG Maker MV for the PS4 and Switch.
RPG Maker With will come to the Nintendo Switch outside Japan in Fall 2024. It will launch in Japan on that system on April 11, 2024, and the PS4 and PS5 versions don't have release windows beyond 2025 yet.
