Build your own ecosystem in this new Dorfromantik inspired puzzle game

The benefit of gaming is that it is broad. There are those who think of gaming as being limited to crude bleeps and bloops or endless waves of carnage, and there's absolutely time for both of these things. What gaming can be, however, is almost anything. It's an extremely broad church which is how you get games like Preserve, an upcoming puzzle game that's all about building a thriving ecosystem in a beautiful hex-based world.

Long awaited Starfield story DLC coming fall 2024, says Todd Howard

To paraphrase a certain guide to the galaxy which hitchhikers are fond of using, Starfield is big. Really big. Though to be honest it could be bigger, and areas like plot and story are where could definitely see some expansion. Thankfully, everyone has known the Shattered Space story expansion is on the way thanks to its inclusion in the premium and constellation editions for the game. Despite this, there hasn't been much indication about exactly when that expansion will be landing.

Manor Lords' new survival RPG cousin is an ambitious master of none

One of the most appealing things about the survival crafting genre is how it asks us to slow down, spend some time in a place, get to know how it works, and settle in. Unfortunately, that's a double-edged sword: the same systems that pull us into a place and its particular rhythms can suddenly feel dull and onerous, and it becomes clear that a game is holding us back to cover for an ultimately threadbare offering. After spending a solid chunk of time with Bellwright, I've found that it's a lot more of the latter than the former.

umamusume pretty derby party dash

Umamusume: Pretty Derby - Party Dash has a worldwide release date of August 30, 2024. Pre-orders for the physical version, which will also include a sticker, are open as well in Japan. [Thanks, PR Times!]

As a note, those who purchase one from the initial production can get a serial code that they can use in the Umamusume mobile and PC games. This serial code will allow you to get a limited support card, as well as in-game currency and items. Cygames will also release a Deluxe Box edition, which will include all the bonuses above and a block-figure set, a pouch, art, and DLC.

The English website does not yet have the prices available. However, here are the prices for the Japanese versions of the game:

  • Standard physical version: 4840 JPY ($30.90)
  • Special edition: 6930 JPY ($44.20)
  • Deluxe box (just the goods): 8800 JPY ($56.15)
  • Deluxe Box: 14,800 JPY ($94.40)

Also, as a note, the digital versions will not include the physical goods. The English website only displays the digital versions, which probably means that Cygames does not intend on to release the physical editions of Umamusume: Pretty Derby - Party Dash outside of Japan.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby - Party Dash is a minigame-filled spin-off of Umamusume: Pretty Derby. The story revolves around the titular umamusume, or horse girls, who are personified versions of real-life racehorses. Not only do the characters compete in races much like real horses, but they also perform on stage like idols.'

Umamusume: Pretty Derby - Party Dash will come out on August 30, 2024, for the PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC via Steam.

The new series will focus on Futaro and the titular quintuplets' honeymoon, and the title of the show will be The Quintessential Quintuplets*. There is no information on the light novel beyond the basic synopsis.

Negi Haruba, the creator of the original The Quintessential Quintuplets, supervised both the new anime and light novel series. He will not be writing the light novels though. Hajime Asano, who worked on series like Mayo Chiki and Lapis Re:LiGHTs will be the author.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxtlzdcgNG4

The Quintessential Quintuplets focuses on a high-school student named Futaro Uesugi, who is poor but very academically gifted. When the Nakano sisters, who are very rich, transfer to his school, Futaro gets a job as their tutor. Unfortunately, they're terrible students.

As time passes, though, Futaro not only helps them with their schoolwork, but he also marries one of the sisters. Atlus Shows New DLC and Returning Demons in SMT V: Vengeance

Atlus showed off five new demons that will appear in the upcoming SMT V: Vengeance. These include four returning demons from previous Atlus titles, as well as the second DLC demon Konohanasakuya.

Konohanasakuya (also known as Konohana Sakuya) is a demon belonging to the Kunitsu race. She is the sister of Iwanaga-hime and daughter to Ouyamatsumi. Her symbol is the cherry blossom and she is considered one of the most beautiful deities in Shinto myth. You can check out the new Konohanasakuya DLC demon in SMT V: Vengeance here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSnnRgXeeak

Gremlin is a demon from the Jaki race, or "evil spirit." They are mischievous creatures that like to play with machines to the point of causing malfunctions in them. Gremlins can be helpful, and it is said that they helped Benjamin Franklin with his kite experiment. Kinmamon of the Enigma race is a supreme deity of modern Ryukyu Shinto. It is said Kinmamon comes from Nirai Kanai, the land of the gods, and has been protecting the Ryukyu Kingdom since the beginning of the world.

Moh Shuvuu is a Raptor race demon. She originates from the folklore of Mongolian Buryat people. She adopts the appearance of a beautiful girl and seduces travelers, only to break their skulls with their beak and suck out their brains when they lower their guards. Saturnus belongs to the Vile race of demons in SMT V: Vengeance. Saturnus is a fertility deity in Roman mythology. People used to pray to Saturn during winter to call for a new spring, and this practice eventually syncretized and became what we now know as Christmas.

Atlus previously showcased the new Nahobiho demon inspired by the protagonist of SMT V and Jack Frost, as well as Dagda, one of the two new DLC demons in SMT V: Vengeance.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance will come to the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam on June 14, 2024.

The first The Quintessential Quintuplets: Gotopazu Story was a console adaptation of the mobile puzzle game The Quintessential Quintuplets: The Quintuplets Can't Evenly Split a Puzzle, and it released last year on June 29, 2023 after being delayed from its original May 2023 release date. The Switch and PS4 release of the game eliminated the puzzle elements and focused on making the story elements accessible to a wider public.

The last game released in the series was The Quintessential Quintuplets: Five Promises Made With Her, which appeared in Japan on September 7, 2023, and it was a romance visual novel.

The Quintessential Quintuplets: Gotopazu Story 2nd is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, and it will release sometime in 2024. The first game is out now in Japan.

Terra Memoria Remixes the RPG Genre With Cozy Vibes

It's easy to know that a game has completely won me over heart and soul when I can't help but play a title over doing anything like washing my dishes or folding my laundry because I'm knee deep into building my life inside of it. I've had my hands on Terra Memoria for a few weeks now, and it has become of my favorite cozy game this year thus far. With a turn-based combat system that is unique, yet should feel familiar to many RPG fans, a cast of quirky characters who all shine, a unique 3D art direction that is visually engaging, and the comforting vibes of a farm simulator, Terra Memoria comes together in a way that will have players coming back to it for years to come.

Terra Memoria focuses on a cast of six characters: Moshang, Syl, Alto, Edson, Opal, and Meta. Each one has their own unique combat abilities and powers. They also each have their own story that plays out. However, it isn't just about learning about them. You are trying to uncover the mystery of why strange mechanical monsters called carcasses appeared and the people's supply of crystals—the very objects that allow folks to light their fires, fill their fountains with waters, and power their cities—is beginning to dwindle.

The game opens by introducing players to Moshang, a mage who constantly gets forced into manual labor due to his large stature. He is tasked with defending the city of Constance from the monsters that have broken through the barriers outside of the city gates. The rest of the cast is quickly introduced within the first two hours of the game, which allows players plenty of time to grow with the party and watch as they learn how to respect the past, the constancy of the present, and also about how change is an inevitable part of the world growing and evolving. As I played through the story, I found myself endeared by the cast of misfits who felt like the only few people trying to move forward in a world that seems unable to cope with its past or future. However, I definitely found myself captivaed by Moshang and Syl the most, due to their soft personalities and eagerness to seek out answers in the world around them.

In order to uncover the mystery of the crystals and mechanical monsters, the party must venture out into the world of Terra. Naturally, this leads us into many different battles against various enemies. Party members are automatically paired at the beginning of combat once they are all obtained, and they can each do special attacks depending on the combination formed. Each enemy and party member take turns to attack, and each attack has a power indicator which determines how strong and how fast that attack is. The less powerful the attack, the more often the party member can strike in battle. This can move the player's turn ahead of or behind the enemy, so it is important to determine if it is more strategic to attack sooner or later.

Each enemy also has an elemental weakness to water, wind, fire, electricity, ice, and earth, and those weaknesses can be exploited by casting spells and or using abilities. Although using one doesn't guarantee the enemy will be weakened, the attacks can do more damage than standard attacks. When enemy weaknesses strike true, the carcasses will then become weak to all elements and they lose their place in the turn cycle, giving players a chance to unleash multiple attacks on them before they get to attack again. The combat itself feels familiar to many turn-based combat systems found in Japanese RPGs like Persona or Final Fantasy, but the enemy weakness system and team combinations allows the combat to feel unique enough to stand out.

Outside of combat, players are able to solve puzzles to advance the plot, build up a town by collecting supplies, and designing that village the way they want like they would in a life simulator game. Also, in between combat, players are able to cook meals that boost HP, make camp, forge items, and complete side quests that net you money and items for cooking and crafting. Side quests helped to expand on the world-building of Terra Memoria. It gave me a better idea of the more frivolous nature of the various residents of this world. This is due to their belief in constantly looking forward without considering the past or how things can be changed in the future.

One thing I found myself getting bit lost in was the crafting aspect of Terra Memoria because I kept wanting to design my town. Often times, I would get a bit frustrated by indecision over small things like if I wanted grass in one area or a rocky path instead. It was for that reason I had to force myself to stop trying to make my town perfect and continue the campaign.

The art direction in Terra Memoria might be my favorite aspect of the game. La Moutarde, the indie studio behind it, utilized 3D graphics to create a stunning 2D pixel effect. This allows the characters and attacks to truly pop off the screen. It creates the same sort of high quality look found in games like Square Enix's Octopath Traveler, and it makes me wish more game studios utilized 3D in this way. The approach truly pays homage to old school 8-bit and 16-bit RPGs that utilized pixel designs to create immersive, visually appealing worlds.

Despite how fun Terra Memoria is many players might find the runtime of the game a bit short. I imagine many could easily finish the story in under ten hours. But to truly understand the world of Terra Memoria and get the full crafting experience, players will likely need to play through it for twenty hours or more. The story and gameplay might also end up being a bit simplistic for some people, although I found that part of the charm. It was nice to play something that was cozy and uncomplicated.

Terra Memoria was a wonderful way to pass the time after a long day at work. I'd curl up with it before bed, discovering new recipes to make or creating a cute pond in my town just because I wanted to. The story was also satisfying due to how wonderful the cast of characters are, and they all felt believable in spire of their individual quirks and familiar character tropes.

Terra Memoria is available on the Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series, PS5, and PC via Steam

Here is how to unlock Seal III in Vampire Survivors. What is Seal and how to unlock it in Vampire Survivors First off, let's talk about what is the Seal stat and PowerUp. Seal is one of the stats you can purchase at the PowerUp menu which will grant you the ability to Banish any item of your choosing before you enter the stage. Banishing an item eliminates it from the item pool, allowing you to keep the best items for your run or even focus on leveling up certain items for unlockables.      Codsworth Fallout 4In Fallout 4, a lovely surprise is being greeted by Codsworth, your robotic butler that can double as your companion. If you wish to be greeted personally, you'll need to make sure he can actually pronounce your name. All names Codsworth can pronounce in Fallout 4 For those who didn't anticipate this feature in Fallout 4, having Codsworth pronounce your character's name is a delightful surprise. This list is pretty long, so if you want to find your name, or a name you've picked for your character, I'd recommend you to use the find function on your PC (press control and F at the same time). When typing the name, you...

A recent patch has added a unique Cart Racing map. If you want to try it, here's how to unlock the Carlo Cart stage in Vampire Survivors. How to get the Hyper Carlo Cart level in Vampire Survivors Screenshot: PC Invasion Players can unlock the Carlo Cart level by dealing 25120 damage with the train on the Laborratory stage.
