All Disney Dreamlight Valley codes July 2024

July 6, 2024 A new code has been added to the list.

What are the latest Disney Dreamlight Valley codes? We've done some digging to make sure we've got the latest codes available from Gameloft. To celebrate the release of Dreamlight Valley multiplayer, there are two new codes below.

The Dreamlight Valley golden potato code was the first to come to the Disney game, and gives you just that, a golden potato. It doesn't even do anything yet, but the exciting news is that it appears to be part of a future Dreamlight Valley quest. The code might no longer available, but if you still don't have a golden potato, you can pick one up in Scrooge's shop, and notes hidden around the valley suggest that the potato might be put to use any day now. Other codes have since been released with various celebrations and events, and all current Dreamlight Valley codes can be found below.

How to dismantle weapons in The First Descendant

How do you dismantle weapons in The First Descendant? Nexon's third-person looter shooter shares inventory mechanics of other games in the genre like Destiny 2 and the Borderlands series. Frequently obtaining new weapons by taking down various enemies, you'll need to regularly dismantle unwanted guns to make room for more.

If your PC has met The First Descendant system requirements and you've already been spending a lot of time in the free-to-play adventure, it will have been made clear how quickly inventory space fills up, similarly to other RPG games. Thankfully, the steps to dismantling weapons in The First Descendant are even more straightforward than getting The First Descendant Caliber when you know what to do.

The First Descendant makes formerly exclusive rewards available to all

Developer Nexon Games says it is "deeply regretful" for issues during the launch of The First Descendant, its new free-to-play looter shooter. The sci-fi co-op game currently sits at a 'mixed' user rating on Steam, with just 51% of its 32,000 reviews giving it a positive recommendation, as players bemoan the game's early launch wobbles, monetization issues, and repetitive mission structure. As compensation, the developer is now extending previously exclusive rewards earned through the game's beta tests to all players.

     XDefiant wasn't rushed out, but

If many years of Call of Duty, Counter-Strike 2, and Apex Legends have you in the market for a new FPS game, XDefiant is a solid contender. The Ubisoft multiplayer shooter has seen a largely positive response since its launch in May, with some excellent map design and a developer that's actively making changes based on community feedback. It hasn't been without its issues, however, something executive producer Mark Rubin addresses in answer to claims the game was rushed out.

See the Genshin Impact Kirara and Nilou Costumes Heading to the Outfit Shop

HoYoVerse announced that the 4.8 version of Genshin Impact will include new costumes for Kirara and Nilou that can be earned or bought in the Character Outfit Shop. Now, there are closer looks at and more information about acquiring the two new looks for the units.

As is customary for a four-star unit outfit in Genshin Impact, people have a chance to earn the Phantom in Boots costume for Kirara before needing to buy it. It will be a Summertide Scales and Tales reward. By completing the objectives in the event, you can earn the optional attire. If you fall short or miss the event entirely, you can spend 1,680 Genesis Crystals in the Character Outfit Shop for the different skin. As a reminder, 1,980 Genesis Crystals costs $29.99, and paying real cash is the only way to acquire that currency.

Likewise, a five-star unit costume in Genshin Impact is always only available in the Character Outfit Shop, so someone will need to pay right away for the one for Nilou. You won't be able to get Breeze of Sabaa any other way. However, when these costumes do launch, they always are temporarily discounted. So until August 26, 2024, it will cost 1,35o Genesis Crystals. After that launch period, the price will go back up to 1,680 as usual. Note that this isn't a five-star outfit, like the one released for Diluc, so no custom idle animation or extra attack effects appear when equipped.

Here is a gallery of images HoYoVerse shared with us offering a closer look at the two outfits:

And here is the official "Outfit Teaser: Teyvat Style - Simulanka's Blessings" trailer that shows how both of the costumes look in-game.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ynAC8ZYVpU&ab_channel=GenshinImpact

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices. The 4.8 update will arrive on July 17, 2024.

Bride of the Barrier Master Manga Keeps Its Story Strong

When we have these sorts of manga series where there's someone who is the scrape goat and bullied, then picked as the one for a major, desired figure, it can sometimes feel like the moment ends after… well… they get together and married. With volume 2 of the Bride of the Barrier Master manga, we have a situation where Kureha and Odayaka provided enough additional motivating factors and situations to keep that story going and a reader invested.

Editor's Note: There will be spoilers for the first volume of the Bride of the Barrier Master manga below, as well as plot point overviews for the second.

So in the first volume of Bride of the Barrier Master, we ended up introduced to Hana and Hazuki Ichise. Both are magical practitioners, though Hazuki is considered the golden child due to seemingly being more powerful. The truth of it is Hana is the more powerful of the two, so much that she has three Shikigami spirits working alongside her and two are humans, but her abilities didn't manifest until later. Because of that, the family prized Hazuki and ignored or abused Hana. But Hana was fine with that, because she wanted a normal life.

However, Saku Ichinomiya, head of the clan that keeps barriers up in Japan depending everyone against evil supernatural forces realizes her strength. He needs her assistance to repair and maintain one of the five Pillars, now that he's head of the family and clan. This, in turn, means marrying her. So the whole first volume involved getting to the point where they meet and form an agreement. There was even a contract guaranteeing Hana a peaceful life and stipend so she could live carefree.

Given the nature of the arrangement, I went into the second volume expecting a bit more resistance to the marriage ahead of the ceremony. However, the Bride of the Barrier Master manga doesn't dawdle or focus too much on that. The wedding goes smoothly. While Saku's mother and brother don't approve, we get to see their reactions and treatment change as they meet Hana. So already, one of the elements that might have dragged out the story in similar situations is largely resolved right away.

However, I really appreciated how the rest of the volume helped provide other reasons to keep the story compelling. One is the Ichinomiya Pillar itself. We see the two repaired it. Given the nature of these sorts of stories and the fact there are five others, it left me wondering if that could return as a plot point. After all, it's a heavy burden on Saku and people like him. Not to mention Hana being as strong as she is could mean her help would be needed by others, now that she's no longer hiding her power level.

We also get a chance to see what daily life is like for Saku and how he uses his practitioner abilities to aid others. Hana ends up involved in such a case. I'm not going to spoil it for those haven't read this volume, of course. However, it does provide potential for Hana to grow as an individual. It felt like in the first volume that because of the treatment of her family and others, perhaps she saw her own skills as something to ignore so she could live peacefully. Her work with Saku makes me wonder if that could change a bit and we could see them grow to work together for the greater good.

Naturally, there's also the developing relationship between Hana and Saku. We could see the two enjoyed sort of picking at or on each other in both of the initial volumes. Hana has someone who knows exactly who she is and accepts her for it. Saku has someone who treats him like anyone else and can properly support him. It's really fun to read through their interactions and grow as a couple. Especially when both will exploit chances to gain ground to improve their own situations.

I really appreciate the Bride of the Barrier Master manga pacing and am glad it isn't drawing out elements for the sake of drama. It could and still keep its excellent, sometimes comedic tone. But the way it is executing it allows Hana to be the independent, strong, and genuinely funny heroine she is, while also allowing us to see Saku and others appreciate her for herself.

Volumes 1 and 2 of the Bride of the Barrier Master manga are available now, and Yen Press will release volume 3 on November 19, 2024. Yen Press also handles the light novel outside Japan.

Stalker 2 plays like the most brutal, difficult game in the series

It's no secret that I'm excited about a lot of this year's videogame offerings. But amid all these adventures - some of which I've been waiting for for years - there's Stalker 2. Kaiju No 8 GFuel Involves a Good Balance of Sweetness

GFuel often puts together partnerships with games and anime series. Do the tastes tied to properties always make sense? No. (I don't really think of citrus fruits or strawberries when I play Persona 3 Reload.) But after a busy not-E3-June, I did try the Kaiju No 8 Full Release GFuel inspired by the anime to help stay awake and survive. While I don't immediately associate kiwi or berry with Kafka or kaiju in general, I was really pleased with the flavor and it did help me get through some long work days.

It's honestly been a while since I did drink GFuel, prior to binge with the Kaiju No 8 Kiwi Berry Blitz energy formula variant. Like I used to rely on the Peach Ring Sonic the Hedgehog version. I appreciated that one because it had a peach flavor, without tasting too artificial or having a strong aftertaste. In the case of the this variety, I tried a bit of the powder on its own first. The powder color (and ensuing drink) is a lighter shade of the teal associated with Kafka in the series. The smell of berry comes through more than kiwi, as you might expect. I also didn't notice any chemical scent, which was a positive. I recall some earlier products from the company could smell a bit awry.

Even when I just sampled a taste of the powder for the Kaiju No 8 GFuel, I noticed that it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. The powder definitely tasted more like a fruit-based kiwi and berry product. However, it was a bit more subtle than I expected. Like when I was a kid, I would have probably gone for Pixy Stix in this flavor.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=toP0fC5q6XU&ab_channel=GFUEL

Once fully mixed, the actual Kaiju No 8 Full Release GFuel ends up looking a bit more true to Kafka's color scheme in his kaiju form. The kiwi flavor is blended well into it, in such a way that it doesn't come across as strong as it does in say the Snapple strawberry kiwi variety. It also definitely tastes like there is a mix of berries used in putting the flavor together, rather than a straightforward blend of strawberry and kiwi. I definitely tasted some blueberry and raspberry in there. Oddly enough, I felt like some pineapple came through as well, and I wasn't surprised when I checked the ingredient list to see that powder was included in the ingredients. Also, I appreciated that this was a lighter color drink that didn't stain the glass and was easier to clean.

As for the actual amount of energy, it was fine. I've always noticed with GFuel that there is sufficient caffeine and other energy-related vitamins and ingredients in the ensuing drinks to keep me awake. A serving of the Kaiju No 8 Full Release variant is 140mg, which is less caffeine than two cups of coffee. Since I'm not the biggest fan of coffee and I don't want the over 200mg of caffeine I'd get in like an energy shot or 300mg in something like a Bang Energy, it's perfect. I don't end up feeling shaky after a glass of this, and it usually doesn't have a negative effect on my regular sleep patterns.

As far as GFuel anime tie-in flavors goes, I enjoyed the Kaiju No 8 Full Release variety. The kiwi and berry flavors go well together, and the other fruit powders tossed into it don't detract from that. The amount of energy I got out of it helped. Plus while it initially didn't scream "Kaiju No 8" to me, the final color of the drink does match Kafka's energy.

The Kaiju No 8 Full Release GFuel is available now, and the anime is streaming on Crunchyroll. Viz Media handles the manga outside Japan. Kaiju No 8: The Game is in development for PCs and mobile devices.

hololive roboco

hololive VTuber Roboco will have a stream on July 6, 2024 from 12:00 PM. This stream will be a zatsudan stream in which she talks about the time she was in the hospital.

The above date and time for the stream correlates to Japan. It would be July 5, 2024 at 8:00 PM PST/11 PM EST. You'll be able to watch the stream from Roboco's YouTube channel.

According to Roboco's Tweet, she was actually in the hospital for reasons she'll discuss in the stream. An ambulance took her there about a week ago. Because she had no idea when she would be let out, she wasn't able to say anything to people. However, she's recovered now and is able to stream again.

Roboco is not the only VTuber who had to go on hiatus due to medical reasons. Fellow hololive VTuber Ookami Mio, who was also in the hospital for acute pancreatitis, could not stream for over a month. She recovered in late June 2024 and returned to her normal streaming activities.

Roboco is the second ever member of hololive and debuted in 2018 on YouTube and Niconico. She debuted before the concept of generations in hololive, but she's considered to be in the 0th generation along with Tokino Sora, Hoshimachi Suisei, and Sakura Miko. As of the time of writing, she has over 1.01 million subscribers on her YouTube channel.

hololive VTuber Roboco will have a return stream at 12:00 PM on July 6, 2024.

Sadako From The Ring Joining Bishoujo Figure Series

At Anime Expo 2024, Kotobukiya officially confirmed that Sadako, the main character from The Ring series of novels, movies, and manga, will join the Bishoujo figure line. This comes after a teaser on July 3, 2024 that showed a video tape and a TV with static on it. On the second day of Anime Expo 2024, the company shared a picture of the painted prototype.

Here's the official concept art for The Ring Sadako Bishoujo figure. As usual, it is done by Shunya Yamashita. The artist is behind all of the designs for characters in the collection. The art shows her face entirely covered by her long black hair, though a shadow in the background shows one eye peeking out. She will wear a white dress and be surrounded by video tapes. This is a reference to how she spreads and attacks people.

Next, here's the full reveal from July 5, 2024:

Many horror icons are a part of the Bishoujo figure line. In each case, the design depicts them as a beautiful young woman. So in 2023, one based on the 2017 version of Pennywise from It appeared. Beetlejuice also joined the lineup in 2020. Vampirella is going to be one of the next characters to join after Sadako.

While no prototype of the Sadako figure will appear at the event, other exclusive merchandise will be at Kotobukiya's booth. The company confirmed it will have Bishoujo figure variants of Cliff Jumper from Transformers, a Medical Officer from Star Trek, and Lilith from Darkstalkers.

There's no release window for the Sadako The Ring Bishoujo figure. Anime Expo runs July 4-7, 2024 at the LA Convention Center in Los Angeles, California.
