When Danganronpa creator Kazutaka Kodaka and Zero Escape director Kotaro Uchikoshi joined forces to found Too Kyo Games in 2017, I was curious to see just what the two legends of so-called "death games" would create together. But although the team has put out several games in just under a decade, none of them have…

Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K review - a gaming mouse ideal for work and play

The Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K is a gaming mouse that attempts to do it all. It offers wired, wireless, and Bluetooth connections. It has a scroll wheel that can spin freely for super-quick scrolling or go clicky with the touch of a button - it can even tilt left and right too. A side button gets you an instant low-DPI sniper mode, and you can even add wireless charging as well.

For those up on their gaming mice, you might be thinking this sounds an awful lot like the Logitech G502 X Plus, and you'd be right. Both offer relaxed, ergonomic designs and loads of features, and both accept that they're not the lightest options around. Instead, these two are vying to be the best gaming mouse for those seeking a single mouse that can turn its hand to just about any task, both gaming and productivity. Read on to find out whether Razer's version is the one to get.

Runescape Dragonwilds mods and private servers are

When you think of Runescape you probably think of several things: quaint, pixel graphics, wise old men, a lot of woodcutting, and some extraordinarily large rats. But you also think of community; a game built by devs in direct response to players. Having attended RuneFest a couple of months ago, the passion Jagex has for its game is very much mirrored by its playerbase - the MMORPG feels, in many ways, like a reciprocal exchange of ideas. Runescape Dragonwilds' creative director Rich 'Mod Rook' Turek tells me that the team wants to foster that same sense of community and freedom in its new survival spinoff, and he knows that the introduction of mods will be key to doing so.

hundred line: last defense academy review

With intriguing mysteries, a colorful cast, and fun strategic stages, The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy is a gem of a game that never wears out its welcome in spite of its staggering length. As the perfect split between the styles and humor of Danganronpa creator Kazutaka Kotaka and Zero Escape creator Kotaro Uchikoshi, it will more than satisfy anyone who enjoys bombastic sci-fi stories with a resonating emotional core.

The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy follows Takumi, a boy living in the dome-shaped Tokyo Residential Complex. He's an ordinary student living an ordinary life with his mom and childhood best friend Karua and doesn't expect that to change. However, an invasion from otherworldly creatures flips his life upside down. He finds himself, along with a smattering of other high schoolers, conscripted in a war against the relentless army of invaders. They must defend the Last Defense Academy for a hundred days, while also figuring out who brought them there in the first place and why they were chosen for this task.

I really enjoyed the story and cast! Unlike in Danganronpa, where losing characters is a given and leads to some with less development or screen time, it feels like everyone gets an even share of the spotlight. Even characters with off-putting quirks, like Ima and Kurara, became endearing. Conversely, it can make bonding events feel weak, since they're more of a monologue that provides trivia rather than anything meaningful. With how much we learn about them throughout routes in the game, though, the bonding events never left me wanting for more.

The writing is hilarious too. This was the most physically hazardous review for me, because I had to put down the game at several points after laughing way too hard. The localization was successful at taking specific memes or references that would fly over the head of an English-only audience and turning them into jokes that are in-character and true to the original context. Minor inconsistencies and punctuation errors exist, but it's hard to fault minor mistakes when one considers the scope of the project. As a whole, the localization team did an amazing job!

The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy is a very long game. Even with over a hundred hours of playtime—excluding idling and retries—I haven't explored every route or seen every ending. Sometimes, the routes can read like an episode of The Simpsons. You think the story is going in one direction, only for it to be about something completely different. Because of the sheer number of options, the story can feel like a smorgasbord of genres. Not every route is a winner and it can suck when the game traps you in a boring story for hours, but I never tired of the game.

Aside from being a visual novel, The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy is a combination of a Fire Emblem-like SRPG and a tower defense game. Some levels can be surprisingly difficult, especially when you haven't upgraded your characters. A major reason for this is that you can't choose where to place them. I remember one level that had two characters I would've never put together to hold down the fort. Since you only have a set number of AP to share with your entire army and characters can't move too far after an action (unless you expend Voltage or an item), I had no way of sending more mobile units over to help. Finding the optimal strategy can feel more akin to a puzzle, rather than pure tactics or strategy.

hundred line last defense academy battle screen
Screenshot by Siliconera

Usually in these games, you don't want to lose your units. The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy goes against this notion. It encourages you to let them die or kill them off. Aside from providing you with bonus points after the battle, you gain 100% Voltage. Voltage is one of the most important resources, since you can use it to power up characters via hemoanima boosts. This includes increasing their attack strength or granting them a counterattack. So kamikaze your characters or don't bother with healing them. Who cares if you win a battle with only one person standing? Death is glory!

I recommend first focusing on characters like Takumi and Kako (star AP farmers) or Shouma (a literal godsend). As he's the protagonist, you always have Takumi. He's the safest option to pour resources into until you're at a more comfortable spot with BP and materials.

My major gripe about the game is the UI choice for the chapter select screen, which is where you can see all the story branches and routes. You can't zoom out to see the entire chart and every path looks the same, which can make it hard to tell what you're looking at without hovering over a node. It's just genuinely a difficult flowchart to look at or use. The lines linking all the nodes together and the line dividing up the timeline into days look the same as well, which adds another layer of frustration. Maybe a future patch can introduce colors to make the routes stand out more, or make it easier to look at the whole thing.

Kodaka said while promoting the game that he considers The Hundred Line his "best work" and a game that's close to his ideal. After experiencing it for myself, I have to agree. It's unique and unforgettable, and a magnum opus that Too Kyo Games will be hard-pressed to top in the future.

The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- will come out for the Nintendo Switch and Windows PC via Steam on April 24, 2025.

The entrance to the Grafton Farmhouse map in Phasmophobia

One of the larger maps you can investigate during Phasmophobia's Cursed Hollow event is Grafton Farmhouse. This location is incredibly dark and spacious, which makes hunting for Forest Minion nests around it a fairly daunting task.

It's easy to get lost at this location or miss a couple of rooms that may have a Forest Minion for you to reveal because of how sizeable and confusing the layout is. If you're struggling to find them, here are all of the Forest Minion nest locations around Grafton Farmhouse for the Cursed Hollow event in Phasmophobia.

All Grafton Farmhouse Forest Minion Totem nest locations

Around the entire Grafton Farmhouse map, you can find a total of 17 Forest Minion nests. There are plenty of nests to find on both floors, so exploring the entire location is crucial for contributing as many event points as possible.

First floor

You can find the first nest in the entryway as soon as you enter the map. Look to your right under the stairs to find this nest on the ground in front of a wooden shelf and a large gas tank.

Head into the living room for the next nest. Return to the kitchen and head through the door on the left side to access this area. You can also find the living room by heading straight through the entryway from the front door. Once you're in this room, head back to the corner by the window and look down to find the Forest Minion nest.

Second floor

The rest of the Forest Minion nests can be found on the second floor. Turn right after entering this map to head upstairs and access the area you need to explore for them.

The first nest on the second level is sitting in the upstairs hallway. As soon as you reach the top of the stairs, turn right and right again to approach the corner area overlooking the downstairs entryway. In the corner by the window, you'll find a nest.

genshin impact dahlia weapon, element, and rarity leaks

Dahlia in Genshin Impact is one of the upcoming characters with an imminent release date. If you were hoping to learn more about him, you're in the right place. New leaks have surfaced online, sharing details about his potential element, rarity, and weapon type.

Dahlia's element, rarity, and weapon type in Genshin Impact leaked

According to the leaks via Kokomi and reshared by Team Mew, Dahlia is a 4-star character and his elemental type is Hydro. Assuming the leak is true, this could make him the first 4-star Hydro unit since Candace, who was released in Genshin Impact 3.1.

Additionally, the leaker claims that Dahlia is a support unit that can buff the active character's attack speed. However, at the time of sharing this leak, his synergy with Skirk, another version 5.7 character, is not good. That said, it could change during the beta.

Furthermore, as per info shared by another leaker named MeroMero, Dahlia is expected to be a Sword user. Since he is a support unit, building him would be easy since he will have access to F2P weapons like the Sacrificial Sword and the Favonius Sword.

As of writing, not much is known about Dahlia, as he has yet to make an in-game appearance, but he is one of the oldest known NPC names in Genshin Impact. Luckily, the wait will end soon, as he is expected to be released in one of the upcoming Natlan updates.

Expected release window

skirk and dahlia silhouette in genshin impact
Image via HoYoverse

While Dahlia's official appearance is currently unknown, there have been several leaks in the past showing his potential in-game model. He has a short male model, and his outfit's color scheme is similar to Rosaria's. Furthermore, the character silhouette next to Iansan revealed during the version 5.3 livestream is expected to be Dahlia's. Therefore, some speculate that Dahlia will be released in Genshin Impact 5.7 alongside Skirk.

Based on the current update schedule, version 5.7 is expected to go live on June 18. Dahlia and Skirk are also likely to be the last playable characters who will be released in the Natlan patch.

wuwa 2.3 - anniversary patch astrites and pull count

The total Astrites and pull count estimation in the Wuthering Waves 2.3 update was recently shared online. This version also coincides with the game's first anniversary, so players have been expecting many rewards.

Adding everything gives you 9,420 Astrites (and another 480 if you're a returnee), 42 Radiant Tides, 22 Lustrous Tides, and 7 Forging Tides. This will get you 100 pulls on a limited banner for free, which is enough to guarantee at least one 5-star character.

We will get two more events called Resounding Waves and Dreaming Deep, but their total rewards are currently unknown, so we have more rewards to look forward to in Wuwa 2.3.

Lunite Subscription and paid Battle Pass rewards

With the monthly Lunite Subscription, you can get up to 3,780 Astrites, which equals another 23 pulls. Furthermore, you can obtain 680 Astrites and 5 Radiant Tides after unlocking the paid version of the Battle Pass, giving you 9 more pulls. In total, you should be able to obtain 136 pulls on the limited character banner, 24 pulls on the standard banners, and 7 on the weapon banner.

Naturally, you can use Astrites on the weapon banner too, so the pull count on the limited character banner will decrease accordingly.
