Diablo 4's new battle pass system, Reliquaries, is off to a shaky start

Diablo 4 Season 8 is a significant one for a variety of reasons, but one of the biggest is the introduction of Reliquaries, which replace its old battle pass system. Taking inspiration from fellow ActiBlizz franchise Call of Duty, it splits seasonal rewards into different pages and gives you the freedom to unlock available rewards in whatever order you please. That all sounds marvelous, but unfortunately its debut isn't going quite as planned. Not only has Blizzard acknowledged that there's a bug charging people for the premium Reliquary pass and not giving it to them, but many Diablo fans are expressing their general displeasure at the new system online.

Warzone Season 3 Reloaded will, quite literally, keep the nostalgia train going

It's almost time for Call of Duty's next mid-season update, and when it comes to Warzone Season 3 Reloaded, it's a pretty big one. While the return of Verdansk at the start of Season 3 was a momentous occasion, Warzone's main custodian Raven Software is going to keep the nostalgia train rolling (quite literally) by bringing back one of the map's best features from back in the day. Yes, Verdansk's train is being put back into service.

You know, I don't think I'll ever understand why, after finding a huge amount of surprise success, developer 1047 Games decided to stop working on Splitgate all so that they could make a sequel. Perhaps that's just part of my general confusion towards live service games as a whole, but I do think it's a bit odd all the same. Still, Splitgate 2 is still on track for a 2025 release it seems, with a date now set for the game's first open beta.

All Infinity Nikki Twitch Drops Rewards Revealed

Alongside the launch of 1.5, Infold announced an Infinity Nikki Twitch Drops event with five different types of rewards. How many you get is based on how long you watch streams of the game between now and May 19, 2025. However, the free Diamonds earned aren't enough for even a single pull on an outfit banner.

To start, we need to link our Infinity Nikki Infold account and Twitch account to earn the drops. This can be done on the official site. The official Drops and Rewards All Campaigns page also lists it in there. Once you're all linked up, you just need to head to the category for the game on Twitch. Watching any of those streams with drops enabled will count toward earning the five rewards. Once you watch for 90 minutes, you can claim the items from your page to get them in-game.

Here's the full list of all the Twitch Drops available. Note that in-game, a pull on an Infinity Nikki banner costs 120 Diamonds, and this event only lets you earn 30 total.

  • Watch an applicable stream for 15 mins – 10 Diamonds.
  • Watch for 30 minutes – 20 Diamonds.
  • Watch for 45 minutes – 20,000 Bling.
  • Watch for an hour – 100 Threads of Purity.
  • Watch for an hour and a half – 100 Shining Particles.

While this isn't enough for a single pull, you can get the equivalent of 30 pulls as an apology for 1.5 issues for free.

Infinity Nikki is available for the PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the Twitch Drops event is live until May 19, 2025.

Verdansk Warzone Ranked Play operators overlooking the map

Call of Duty: Warzone players know Verdansk is where heroes were made and stories were forged, but the legends will grow ever-larger now thanks to Ranked Play coming to the OG map.

Ranked Battle Royale did not exist the last time Warzone had Verdansk, so this is the first time that the competitive ladder mode will be available on the classic map that took the world by storm when Warzone launched in 2020.

In Warzone's Battle Royale Ranked Play, certain weapons and equipment are restricted, players gain score by picking up eliminations and placing high along with winning games, and is a different-feeling experience than normal games. CoD players are understandably hyped about Ranked in Verdansk, but it's currently M.I.A.

Here's everything there is to know about Warzone's Ranked Play coming to Verdansk.

Where is Ranked Play in Warzone?

Verdansk Ranked Play return in Warzone

Ranked Play in Warzone is currently offline at the start of season three in BO6, which added the return of the original map Verdansk, classic weapons like the Kilo 141, CR-56 AMAX and HDR, and more.

Activision, along with Warzone developer Raven Software, has confirmed that Ranked Play will be coming back to Warzone and to Verdansk for the first time at a later date, supporting teams of three in the mode similar to Black Ops 6's Ranked Play featuring skill divisions, skill rating, unlockable rewards, and a lot more.

But first, the mode needs to make its debut on Verdansk so 50 trios can all drop in and try to take the top spot and rank up all along the way, so there's a little bit of downtime for Ranked Play in battle royale before it returns like Gandalf shining like a white beacon on a hill.

When is Ranked Play coming back in Warzone?

Warzone operator taking aim
Image via Activision

Warzone Ranked Play in Verdansk will be coming back in Season Three Reloaded on May 1, Activision confirmed. The new season will go live around 11am CT on that day, but and Ranked Play will either be available at that same time or shortly after.

"The mode that never quite made it to Verdansk, Battle Royale Ranked Play is back in a big, big way at mid-season!" Activision said. "Squad up in your preferred Trio and ensure your dominance over 49 other teams as 150-player Ranked Play hits Call of Duty: Warzone's first Battle Royale map!"

Until Season Three Reloaded arrives, it's time to enjoy Verdansk in solos, duos, trios, and quads, or even mess around for fun in the Battle Royale Casual mode, but use your time wisely to get ready for ranked at the beginning of May.

Alongside Ranked Play's return, Verdansk is also getting an update at the Train Station. The POI will now be open, and a train inside will leave and begin traveling around the map in every game. The train will have special loot and contracts on board, so drop there at your own risk.

Season three of BO6 in Warzone also has special, exclusive rewards for ranking up in BR. Here's what you can get in season three, with new rewards added each season:

  • Get 25 Eliminations: "Crownbreaker" Weapon Sticker
  • Get 100 Eliminations: "Ranked Renegade" Weapon Camo
  • Win a Ranked Play match: "Junkyard Dog" Weapon Charm
  • Get 250 Eliminations: "Exile's Resolve" Assault Rifle Blueprint
  • Silver: "Platatag" Emblem
  • Gold: "Arumural" Emblem and "Golden Cup" Spray
  • Platinum: "Platinumpasting" Emblem and "Platinum Blet" Spray
  • Diamond: "Blue Carbon Style" Emblem and "Diamond Crown" Spray
  • Crimson: "Crimsonpiece" Emblem and "Crimson Banner" Spray
  • Iridescent: "Iridosketch" Emblem and "Iridescent Wreath" Spray
  • Top 250: "Factum Heroes" Emblem and "Unstoppable 250" Spray
  • #1 Overall: "Semideistsyle" Emblem

Seth Rogen Operator skin in action

If you loved Call of Duty's entertaining High Trip mode, prepare for 2025's take with High Art. While it shifts away from High Trip's parkour action, it still captures that same relaxed energy. We're here to show you its rewards and how to claim them in BO6 and Warzone.

How to play High Art event in BO6 and Warzone

Although we initially thought the Call of Duty 4/20 event would be released at the end of April, it has been pushed back to May. Given the celebration's laid-back vibe, the delay feels pretty on-brand. The High Art event will start things off on May 1 with a wonderfully colorful extravaganza and a familiar face at the helm.

The goal here is simple: rack up loads of XP to climb higher in High Art's tiers—any mode works, whether you're diving into Black Ops 6 Multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone. As with most recent Event Pass systems, this celebration is split into two tracks: Free and Premium. The Premium Track is basically a dream come true for Seth Rogen fans, while the Free Track stays true to the 4/20 theme.

Operators in Season 3 Reloaded
Image via Activision

You might want to break out those Double XP Tokens to blast through the event's tiers at lightning speed. If we're lucky, we could even get a whole weekend of leveling boosts. Some modes, like Kill Confirmed, Domination, and Hardpoint, are known for dishing out more XP than others. But if you're craving something fresh, check out Season 3 Reloaded's limited-time modes, from BO6's Joint Operations to Warzone's Massive Resurgence.

All High Art Event Pass rewards

Let's dive into all the confirmed rewards you can unlock in BO6 and Warzone during the High Art event:

Free Track

  • "Seth's Tray" Sticker
  • "Psycho Kettle" Charm
  • 7.62 Mini-Rocket Conversion for the Goblin Mk2
  • Ladra SMG
  • "Pot-tery" Spray
  • "Vape Jape" Emblem
  • "Casual Ops" Operator Skin

Premium Track

  • "Seth Rogen" Operator Skin
  • "Weed Watch" Gunscreen
  • "High Fliers" Large Decal
  • "Glazed Out" Assault Rifle Weapon Blueprint
  • "Flameware" SMG Weapon Blueprint
  • "Ha!" Emote
  • "Missem 'Em" Finishing Move
  • "Host Rogen" Operator Skin

Even if the Premium Track is the main attraction with its exclusive Seth Rogen Operator, don't overlook the Free Track. It still offers a ton of great content. I've got my eye on the Mini Rocket Conversion, which attaches an explosive rocket to the Goblin Mk2 Assault Rifle. The build removes the barrel, muzzle, and magazine to make room for its unique attachments. The result is increased splash damage, although it comes with a nerf to bullet velocity and fire rate.

Free and Premium rewards in High Art event
Image via Activision

I'm also curious how the upcoming SMG, the Ladra, will change the meta. If it performs well, my trusty PP-919 loadout might finally be put to rest. But, out of all the event's content, the Mastery reward is the real prize here. Operator skins usually come with a price tag, but this time you can earn one without spending a single COD Point.

When does the High Art event end in BO6 and Warzone?

You'll have to earn all of High Art's rewards before the event's conclusion on May 15. That gives you more than two weeks to farm tons of XP, getting you closer to the Mastery rewards. The Blaze of Glory event will also end on this date, but this celebration will only be available for one week. Since there's a lot going on in the Call of Duty world in May, you can check our 2025 schedule to keep track of them all.

Seth Rogen Operator skin

Seth Rogen is suiting up for battle in Call of Duty, and nope, this isn't a fever dream. From Nicki Minaj to Cheech and Chong, the Operator roster keeps getting wilder. Now it's Rogen's turn. Here's how to unlock the man, the myth, the iconic laugh in BO6 and Warzone.

How to unlock Seth Rogen Operator in BO6 and Warzone

The Seth Rogen Operator skin drops on May 1 as a part of the High Art event's Premium Track. You can unlock this Operator for 1,200 COD Points, which will cost you around $9.99 or $19.99, depending on which COD Points pack you purchase.

Although leveling up in the High Art track can be a bit of a grind, you'll automatically unlock the Seth Rogen "Fired Up" Operator with the Premium purchase. This skin outfits Seth Rogen in full soldier gear, featuring a leafy emblem that Jay and Silent Bob fans will undoubtedly recognize. To get the next Rogen look, earn enough XP before the event ends for the Mastery reward: "Host Rogen," a bold, vibrantly colored suit that swaps camo for charisma. With both styles in your loadout, you're ready for any mission or occasion.

High Art Event Pass Rewards
Image via Activision

Those with the Premium Track unlocked will gain additional Seth Rogen-themed rewards, including the "Ha!" emote, which may feature a voice line from the notable actor. Free Track users can also grab the "Vape Jape" emblem to add an extra Rogen flair to their weapons.

According to the Season 3 Reloaded announcement, the Seth Rogen skin will be a limited-time exclusive, so you'll need to act fast. Unlike other Operator skins available as store bundles, this one's only tied to the High Art Premium Pass. You've got until May 15 to get it, though there's a chance the window could be extended to give players more time.

Beyond the Seth Rogen Operator, Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 3 Reloaded offers a ton of other exciting cosmetics. The Seaborne Tracer Pack lets you harness the power of the Nautiloid at sea. Zombies fans can also step into the shoes of Mister Peeks, the Easter egg master, complete with the "Egg Breaker" reactive to seal the deal. Plus, there's the mystical Charm' n Harm Reactive Ultra Skin, along with the Dulce Catástrofe bundle in celebration of Cinco de Mayo. These bundles won't be sticking around for long, so it's worth checking out the CoD shop before the Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 4 launch. Fortunately, you still have some time, as the following season is likely to be released between mid-May and late May.

Emma Frost smirk Marvel Rivals

Just like in Marvel Comics, Marvel Rivals will host a vote regarding the Hellfire Gala. But for the hero shooter, it's all about who looks best as opposed to voting for the new X-Men team.

Marvel Rivals' Gala Star Vote kicks off on May 2, and will allow players to choose from a selection of eight heroes as this year's best dressed. The prize? Oh, nothing but a hot new outfit for the winning hero in Hellfire Gala next year.

https://twitter.com/mmmmmmmmiller/status/1917298945216102777

This is about as good as it gets when it comes to democracy in Marvel Rivals. Voting between Emma Frost, Black Panther, Scarlet Witch, Cloak & Dagger, Wolverine, Black Widow, Hulk, and Captain America will crown one of them with the honor with an all-new slay in 2026. Voting 10 times will unlock a special gallery card.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Hellfire Gala become a yearly event in the game, just like it is in the comics, similarly to how limited-time events in games like Overwatch 2 work with returning events that have different skins and items fitting the theme.

NetEase Games also revealed the rest of the new event for May, which is called Hellfire Gala Moments, featuring challenges to complete to earn Chrono Tokens to level up the battle pass, and the ultimate prize: Wolverine's Patch skin, featuring the hairy mutant in his trademark white suit and eyepatch.

The best dressed vote is actually part three of Hellfire Gala Moments, with part one called Island Attractions where players can explore the different areas of Krakoa. Part two, Hellfire Trading Company Gifts, will task players with trading in collected X-Coins (via missions) to claim rewards, such as an Emma Frost emote where she equips Cerebro.

Screenshot by Destructoid

Once all three parts are completed, the Patch costume can be claimed as the free skin for this limited-time event, which is likely to take place throughout the majority of May until Ultron releases as the game's newest hero on May 30.

Seth Rogen Operator skin

Aheheheheheheehh. Heheheheeheheheheh. HEHEHEEHEHEHEHH. Welcome to Warzone, boys, where we droppin'? Eheheheheheh.

Yeah, this is actually happening. Hollywood stoner and actor Seth Rogen is the star of Call of Duty's Season Three Reloaded update for Black Ops 6, and I can't help but wonder just what the hell has gone wrong in the FPS franchise lately to reach this point.

Image via Destructoid

I need to preface this by saying I like Seth Rogen. I enjoy his movies (Pineapple Express and Superbad are among all-time favs of mine), and he seems like a decent enough dude. But how did we go from a bad-ass Squid Game crossover in season one and an awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collab in season two, to a Seth Rogen marijuana-themed event pass in season three?

I have traditionally been a fan of the weird and whacky skins in CoD. I have used CoD Points to purchase everything from a rubber ducky skin, to Raphael the Ninja Turtle, and Art the Clown from Terrifier. I think it's fun, adds personality to the game, and is harmless. But this one just feels cringier than usual, and a low point when it comes to collabs.

Event Passes are controversial enough to begin with, considering how they cost upwards of $10 on top of season passes which are already on top of the $70 price tag for BO6 itself. But I guess I can swallow the prices when it comes to certain things, whereas this event feels like a hastily-thrown together mess.

First of all, 4/20 was last week. This event begins on May 1. Jay and Silent Bob have already joined the game as your required potheads in CoD each year. The ship has sailed on this event, which was likely scheduled to come earlier before season three got delayed so the game could be fixed enough for Verdansk.

CoD's need to have so many weed-themed items each year is another story entirely. To an extent, I get it. I take edibles, I smoke from time to time (it's fully legal in my state), and I enjoy some stoner movies and shows as much as anyone. But why does Activision feel the need to hammer everyone over the head with this sort of "LOOK AT ME I SMOKE WEED" mentality? Well, it's probably because it makes money year in and year out. And here we are.

Image via Activision

Thankfully, the actually useful items in the event pass are free, like the Ladra SMG and 7.62 Mini-Rocket Conversion attachment for the Goblin Mk2. Elsewhere, the paid track has two skins for Rogen, a finishing move, a "HA!" emote (probably more akin to his trademark "eheheheheh" laughter), two weapon variants, a gun screen, and weed leaf weapon decal. Ho hum.

To get real for a second, this isn't that huge of a deal. I won't be purchasing the event pass, so that's all I can really do to voice my discontent (other than this article, obviously), and there are bigger problems in the franchise. But... Seth Rogen? Is that really the best we can do now?
