Paradox apologizes for "disappointing" Stellaris 4.0 update, commits to fixes

Naming the Stellaris 4.0 update 'Phoenix' was supposed to be a nod to the nine-year-old 4X space game's rebirth from the ashes. Landing alongside the Biogenesis DLC, the patch promised to give the strategy game new life courtesy of major, sweeping system overhauls from developer Paradox. Yet it's become a more of a literal descriptor than expected, as game director Stephen 'Eladrin' Muray admits that 4.0 arrived "a little bit on fire." In a new developer blog, Muray apologizes for disappointing players with the undercooked update, and promises that the team is focusing on fixes.

Your Intel gaming CPU needs yet another stability fix, more BIOS updates coming

Intel has confirmed that it's about to issue another microcode update for its 13th-gen and 14th-gen Raptor Lake CPUs, meaning you'll need to update your motherboard BIOS again. As with the raft of Intel CPU updates issued at the end of 2024, this one again addresses Vmin Shift Instability, where the CPU voltage can fluctuate to unsafe levels, despite Intel saying it had fixed the issue in 2024.

While the performance of the Intel Core i9 14900K means it's still happily sitting on our guide to the best gaming CPU, this range of processors has been hit hard by stability problems, particularly in games based on the Unreal Engine. If you've been experiencing errors in games saying your system is out of VRAM, despite having loads of memory on your graphics card, then you've very probably experienced this Intel stability issue and will need to apply the latest update.

What songs are on the GTA 6 soundtrack? Now that the second trailer is out in the wild, Rockstar's next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is already set for a promising soundtrack - but who can we expect to hear on the Vice City radio stations while cruising the city?

Grand Theft Auto 6 has been years in the making, but good music is a constant in the series.      Save a massive $70 on my favorite gaming keyboard, the Corsair K70, but be quick

If you're looking to buy a new mechanical gaming keyboard, then this is a deal you won't want to miss. The acclaimed Corsair K70 RGB Pro is currently the subject of a serious deal, enabling you to save a colossal $70 on the usual price of $169.99, bringing it down to just $99.99. Trust me when I say you won't regret taking advantage of this bargain – I've been using a Corsair K70 in various guises for over a decade, and it's the best keyboard I've ever owned.

With its premium aluminum frame, we praised this keyboard's "fantastic build quality" in our Corsair K70 RGB Pro review, but described its price as "hard to swallow," and that criticism has been dealt a swift blow with this current price reduction. Meanwhile, the handy volume control roller on the top right of this Corsair keyboard makes it easy to quickly change the volume of your music or game with a simple finger flick, which is much better than having to twist a knob or, worse, push buttons up and down.

New RTS Fractured Alliance captures the soul of Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun

While I like the comparative groundedness of Tiberian Dawn, Command and Conquer 2 could be the best-looking game in the entire Westwood series. The bright, bold colors. The laser weapons. The mechs. Red Alert 2 also leaps off the screen, but Tiberian Sun finds this gorgeous middle ground between grim post-apocalyptica and C&C's trademark high sci-fi. It's a good time for RTS games right now. Tempest Rising is a worthy successor to the genre's greatest classics and Age of Empires 2 just got a new expansion. But Fractured Alliance, from Tense Games, feels like the closest in spirit to the true old-school, and now we have details on its third faction.

     The best Oblivion Remastered race

What is the best race in Oblivion Remastered? The denizens of Cyrodiil, and by extension, Tamriel, are a varied bunch. From your standard Bretons to the more fantastical Argonians, each race has innate strengths that separate it from its peers. What's more, each race comes with two different origins, each of which provides its own attribute bonuses.

Needless to say, figuring out the best race in Oblivion Remastered is easier said than done. As we maintain in our best Oblivion Remastered birthsign guide, the best option is typically tied to your intended build path. With this in mind, we'll be breaking down our race (and origin) recommendations based on the standard RPG combat triangle: melee, ranged, and magic.      Best laptop games to play in 2025

What are the best laptop games? PC gaming isn't always done at a desk, reclining languorously on an ergonomic leather throne, gazing upon a gaming monitor the size of your front window as hundreds of snazzy LEDs light up your peripheral vision. As anyone who has attended a LAN can attest, hauling your heavy box of tricks around is not for the faint of heart (or arm, or back) and so you might be feeling resigned to taking a break from gaming in the event life takes you on a trip away from home.

Don't do that. Never stop gaming. Take your laptop with you and play games on the train. Play games on the beach. Play games in the laundry cupboard as you hide from your relatives. We'll guide you through which low spec games for laptops you will be able to run, and which won't cause you endless frustration trying to control them with a trackpad. If you're looking for a new setup, then check our hardware guide to the best gaming laptop.

Earlier today there was a mighty eruption of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach previews, featuring commentary on the new game's themes and social relevance from erstwhile Metal Gear Solidifier and Kojima Productions boss Hideo Kojima. Themes and social relevance, eh! Kojima is one of the few bigwigs who will engage openly with such things, which is perhaps less praise of Kojima than a judgement upon the hesitant and anodyne way other blockbuster game creators discuss the impact of their work.

In this case, Kojima has talked at some length about how Death Stranding 2 builds on and, at times, resists the first game's theme of connection, based on his experiences of the Covid pandemic and his dislike of the "metaverse" - that ageing umbrella term for a newly monetisable "web 3.0" fauxtopia of networked technologies, ranging from VR to cryptocurrency, which many large video game publishers have sought to normalise in their hunger for profit growth.

Review: Oblivion Remastered Is a Stunning Remaster

What we end up getting when a company releases a remaster of a game varies. Sometimes, there are only some improved textures and HD enhancements. We might get a new or updated localization, if it involves a Japanese release. If we're really lucky, the alterations will be so extensive that it might feel more like a remake. That's what's happened with Bethesda and Virtuos' The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, as the remaster is so comprehensive and detailed that the experience often feels entirely new.

Oblivion Remastered begins with a player's imprisoned avatar being tasked with a royal mission to get the fallen Emperor Uriel Septim VII's Amulet of Kings to Blades Grandmaster Jauffre, while also dealing with the invasion of Oblivion's Daedra as a result of the ruler's death. We must forge our own path through Cyrodiil and find a way to save it and Tamriel. It's... fine. I'm not a huge fan of the main game's campaign and preferred supplemental missions in the past, and I found it remained true here. As a very welcome bonus, the remaster of Oblivion includes the Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles expansions. While Knights of the Nine is totally fine, I always really enjoyed the Greymarch campaign in Shivering Isles and found returning to it a welcome premise.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFJ3PZuAjK4

As a refresher, Oblivion Remastered is an open-world action-RPG like other The Elder Scrolls games, filled with mainline and side quests to undertake. You can go through in either the first or third-person perspective, using melee, ranged, and magical attacks to cut through foes. There's also crafting, with players able to use skills such as Alchemy to make potions and Armorer to repair equipment. There are also ample opportunities to do some roleplaying, with factions to join like the Dark Brotherhood or Fighters, Mages, and Thieves Guilds and ways to pretend you're a merchant by combining Mercantile and Speechcraft when buying and selling.

When first heading into Oblivion Remastered, the most obvious change in the remaster is the visuals. This is a stunning game that looks more like Skyrim than its original release. Environments are gorgeous. Buildings look realistic. Monsters and opponents are updated, and I appreciated how much more they look like more recent installments' counterparts. All NPCs look different, often for the better, and the voice acting and lip sync looks so much more realistic and better. As someone who always prioritized the third-person perspective in The Elder Scrolls games, the camera settings are vastly improved. Everything just looks and sounds great. This even applies to player characters, since we get so many more options in the creator as well as updated original ones.

But once you start really getting into Oblivion Remastered, it's evident how much fine-tuning Bethesda and Virtuos put into the remaster. I've always prioritized ranged weapons and magic in The Elder Scrolls series, and I could tell right away how much better things felt. I noticed magicka regenerated at a better pace, which I appreciated and left me feeling more secure early in my adventure. Also, archery feels like it got a major buff. The controller's aim assist is great, and arrows both do more damage at a faster pace. Also, again, I felt more comfortable as an archer because I could get arrows from fallen enemies instead of worrying they'd be lost. There are lots of perk adjustments, and I especially noticed this when using alchemy and when I'd see greater chances of my arrows paralyzing enemies.

There are even entirely new elements that make The Elder Scrolls IV more accessible in Oblivion Remastered. The best example of this is Clairvoyance. It's a spell added for this release and pulled from Skyrim, and it helps you find your way in case you get lost by showing a line to your direction. The tutorial ended up being adjusted as well, so it also tells you how to use it. If someone has issues with the camera and is sensitive to motion-sickness when playing titles with a first-person perspective, I could see the camera motion option assisting with that. You can also add aim assist, as I mentioned before, and adjust how sensitive that is. Also, bless the developers for adding a text and subtitle font size options, as the medium and large options for both are so helpful.

Speaking of which, I think what I love most about Oblivion Remastered is how Bethesda and Virtuos used the remaster as an opportunity to add all of the Skyrim quality of life adjustments. We can sprint now! Sprinting is so great. And if you're using any skill, it's going to help you get experience to level up, which is so efficient. Skyrim's horseback riding, health regeneration, and over-encumbered rules are in effect for the sake of convenience and ease of play too. This means you're automatically swapped to the third-person perspective when you ride, to help you better take into account what's around you. Your health will regenerate when combat is over. If you are carrying too much, you can still move. The remaster's HUD and difficulty levels also match the more recent release. In addition to being more efficient and working better, I feel it's a big help for people who got into the series after The Elder Scrolls V debuted.

Even if you don't count Oblivion among your favorite The Elder Scrolls games, Oblivion Remastered is a triumph and sets a high bar for what we should expect from a video game remaster. While the game will play exactly as you would expect, it looks, sounds, and perhaps even feels smoother than ever before. Given how different the world looks and quality of life adjustments and changes based on Skyrim, it still might feel like a whole new experience this time around.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Standing by the Uncrafting Station in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Instead of causing mischief and mayhem around the valley, the Cheshire Cat actually has something useful to grant you for once in Disney Dreamlight Valley. The Uncrafting Station quest unlocks a special new machine once you finish it.

Many parts of this quest are a bit confusing since the Cheshire Cat tasks you with crafting and destroying several different objects. There's a lot to get done in this task, so here's a complete quest walkthrough for The Uncrafting Station quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to complete The Uncrafting Station in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Screenshot by Destructoid

To complete The Uncrafting Station quest, you need to make and break several items and create the Uncrafting Station. There are lots of tricky parts for getting the entire quest done, so here's a full breakdown of everything you need to do.

Gather materials for the three Wildly Jubilant Topiaries

The first step in this quest is to gather some materials so you can craft three Wildly Jubilant Topiaries. To make these items, you need lots of Clay, Soil, and a couple of Pink Houseleek Flowers.

Material Quantity How to get
Clay 15 Primarily obtained by digging around the Sunlit Plateau, Forgotten Lands, and Glade of Trust biomes. It's also sometimes available for purchase at Kristoff's Stall and can drop when digging up Wildebeest Bones.
Soil 15 Primarily acquired by digging in any biome. It's also sometimes found when removing rubble piles and can be crafted from Rich Soil.
Pink Houseleek Five Grows in the wild around the Sunlit Plateau biome.

Craft the three Wildly Jubilant Topiaries

Once you have all of the items needed to make them, head to any crafting station around the valley to start making the three Wildly Jubilant Topiaries. You can find them in the furniture category.

Crafting three wildly jubilant topiaries in DDV
Screenshot by Destructoid

Once you have this item crafted, head to the Cheshire Cat to hand them over. As unpredictable as always, the Cheshire Cat then immediately tells you he has no use for them and asks you to destroy them instead.

Next, place the three Wildly Jubilant Topiaries down anywhere in the valley. They can only be placed down in classic Dreamlight Valley, so if you're over at Storybook Vale or Eternity Isle, you need to travel to the main village to complete this task.

Use your Pickaxe to break the three Wildly Jubilant Topiaries you just placed

Equip your Royal Pickaxe and use it to break the three Wildly Jubilant Topiaries you placed in the village. When you're done, head back to the Cheshire Cat at his tree, wherever you have his home placed around the village.

Break the Balloon Arches with your Pickaxe

Screenshot by Destructoid

The Cheshire Cat wants you to destroy more items, so next, you need to place the three Balloon Arches he gave you down anywhere in the valley. Just like the three Wildly Jubilant Topiaries, you must place these arches down in the valley rather than one of the DLC worlds.

Once they're down, equip your Royal Pickaxe and destroy them. Head back to the Cheshire Cat again when you're done to discuss how it went and what you should do next. After talking to him, you decide you want to make a workspace dedicated to uncrafting items. Before you can craft this special machine, you need to venture into the Alice in Wonderland Realm to find a special material for it.

Search the forest in the Realm for the Blue Spores

Your next task is to find 20 Blue Spores scattered around the vast forest in the Alice in Wonderland Realm. All of these spores appear as glowing blue orbs on the ground, so they're fairly easy to spot from afar. To find them, explore the entire main forest area and pick up each one you come across.

The easiest way to find them is to search the Realm in a counterclockwise circle. If you're struggling to find any of them, though, here's where every Blue Spore is located.

  • Three are by the massive blue mushroom you previously interacted with to gather all Contrary Perfume ingredients.
  • One is on the path that leads into the forest near the Pencil Bird.
  • One is near the right end of the circular path, right behind the Pencil Bird.
  • One is down the pathway that heads right behind the Pencil Bird.
  • Two are on the pathway to your left after entering the forest section on the right side behind the Pencil Bird.
  • Two are under a massive glowing blue mushroom near the right middle region of the forest.
  • Two are in the forest section right before the path that leads down to the tree portal that takes you to the Queen of Hearts' garden.
  • Two are in the top middle section of the vast forest.
  • Three are in the top left corner of the forest near a large blue mushroom.
  • Three are on the pathway leading down from the top left corner of the forest by a blue mushroom.

Screenshot by Destructoid

Once you have all of the Blue Spores in your inventory, head back to your village and meet up with the Cheshire Cat. While you were on your scavenger hunt, he figured out what you need to do next.

Gather materials for the Uncrafting Station

Before you can make an Uncrafting Station, you need to gather materials to craft it. In addition to the Blue Spores you found, you also need to obtain Mushrooms, Purple Bell Flowers, Blue Passion Lilies, Glass, and Hardwood.

Material Quantity How to get
Mushroom 28 Primarily found growing in the wild around the Glade of Trust biome. Can also be acquired by watering purple mushroom patches around the Peaceful Meadow, Glade of Trust, and Sunlit Plateau.
Purple Bell Flower Six Grows in the wild around the Forest of Valor.
Blue Passion Lily Four Grows in the wild around Frosted Heights.
Glass 17 Can be crafted using five Sand and one Coal Ore. It's also sometimes available for purchase at Kristoff's Stall.
Hardwood 35 Can be found near trees in the Sunlit Plateau, Forest of Valor, Glade of Trust, and Frosted Heights biomes.

Craft the Uncrafting Station

With all of the materials gathered, venture to any regular crafting station around the valley to start making the Uncrafting Station. This special machine can be found in the functional items category. Place it down anywhere in your village once it's done.

Use the Uncrafting Station to uncraft any piece of furniture and wait to collect it

Interact with your shiny new Uncrafting Station and choose any item you've previously made to disassemble for parts. Wait for the uncrafting process to complete, then grab your returned materials from it. Return to the Cheshire Cat and chat with him one last time to officially complete The Uncrafting Station quest.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Cheshire Cat on his tree

During the Cheshire Cat's final friendship quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, he'll ask you to embark on a scavenger hunt. He doesn't tell you why or what it entails, but all you know is that you'll have to find some mysterious items and do something with them.

What is this something? How do we complete this mission? That's what we're here to find out. Here's where you can find every scavenger hunt item during the Cheshire Cat's "On a Wild Cheshire Chase" quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

All On a Wild Cheshire Chase item locations in Disney Dreamlight Valley

During the Cheshire Cat's "On a Wild Cheshire Chase" quest, you'll have to search for and find the following four items:

  • Cheshire Catfish
  • Spoiled Milk
  • Dried Sprout
  • A mysterious fourth and final item

During this mission, you'll eat a scavenger hunt note made of rice paper, revealing a memory inside Dream Castle. It shows a realm door covered in Night Thorns with a tree full of milk and roses. Visiting the Beauty and the Beast realm door on the castle's second floor and interacting with this tree will give you Spoiled Milk and a Dried Sprout, knocking out the first two ingredients.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Beauty and the Beast door and Cheshire Cat tree
Screenshot by Destructoid

Your next objective is to venture into the Alice in Wonderland Realm again. You'll need to head back to the Queen's Maze, which you can find by heading forward from the entrance, turning right once you reach the end, and interacting with the purple mushroom to teleport straight to where you initially reunited with Alice. You'll find a White Rose tree here, letting you teleport straight to Mickey's Secret Room to collect the Cheshire Catfish.

Although these three resources were relatively simple, you'll have one more item to collect. Aside from a brief riddle, the Cheshire Cat gives you no clear-cut answers on what this is. Fortunately, we can narrow down our options using his riddle.

How to find the Cheshire Cat's final item in Disney Dreamlight Valley

With everything on hand, the Cheshire Cat will ask for one more item with the following riddle:

"I'm small and round, crushed and ground. A bean, they say, to start the day. What am I?"

Disney Dreamlight Valley Cheshire Concoction recipe
Screenshot by Destructoid

The Cheshire Cat's final scavenger hunt item is a coffee bean. Coffee beans are a cooking ingredient found exclusively in the Glade of Trust. Upon entering the Glade, you'll find coffee bean trees to harvest. If you recently gathered and used a bunch of coffee beans, you'll have to wait 40 minutes for them to regrow.

Harvesting coffee beans in the Glade of Trust will give you exactly what you need to make the Cheshire Cat's mysterious recipe, a Cheshire Concoction. Once you're ready, head to any stove or Chez Remy's kitchen and toss the four items into the pot. You'll create the Cheshire Concoction, letting you progress through the On a Wild Cheshire Chase quest.

Faleris in Palworld

Popular indie sensation Palworld has lost another key feature that was loved by many in the latest update, as developers Pocketpair continues to strategically mitigate the lawsuit filed against them by gaming giants Nintendo.

Update v0.5.5, which went live on May 8, has only one major change worth noticing - players will no longer be able to use their Pals as a Glider. Instead, they will need to use a Glider to move in the air. Many players, including me, were taken by surprise, but Pocketpair quickly explained the rationale behind their decision.

Palworld's recent change was forced onto the developers

Before v0.5.5, you could glide on certain pals and traverse the different corners of the map. It was a really cool feature since you were free to shoot/use your hands for other tasks while gliding in the air. Sadly, we will no longer be able to do so, and the alternative is to use a glider.

Based on the explanation from Pocketpair, the recent change in Palworld is a "compromise". Incidentally, this appears to be the second forced change following the earlier one during November 2024 (when Pals appearing from thrown Pal Spheres was changed). While the community (and I) were okay with that change because it wasn't so noticeable, the same can't be said about this change.

For starters, gliding on your Pals and with a Glider isn't the same. Secondly, it will occupy an extra item slot as well, which makes it slightly problematic. While the situation can be managed, gliding on your Pals was far more convenient. There was also the added advantage of shooting at things while in the air, which won't be the case anymore.

https://twitter.com/Palworld_EN/status/1920359710055862699

The community is quite expectedly disappointed with the new change, and the developers are well aware of it.

We understand that this will be disappointing for many, just as it is for us, but we hope our fans understand that these changes are necessary in order to prevent further disruptions to the development of Palworld."

If there's any consolation, players should be expecting steady development for the game in the meantime, as the recent change should clear any chances of an immediate injunction against either Pocketpair or Palworld.

Fire Force headquarters when viewed from a first person. The title is on top and bottom of the page

Fire Force Reignition has a lot of systems, and one of those is the Clan system. A lot of new players don't understand the actual benefit of being in a Clan because, frankly, the game does a terrible job of explaining it, and they don't seem to do anything. Well, some, but not all, clans give you certain benefits, and being in a particular Clan can actually give you an advantage. So much so that we decided to give you a Complete Fire Force Reignition Clans Tier List.

How Clans Work in Fire Force Reignition

Clan names in Fire Force Reignition
Screenshot by Destructoid

As soon as you start playing Fire Force Reignition, the game will randomly assign you to one of the clans. A Clan is, essentially, your last name. You can see which Clan you belong to when you look at the leaderboard. At first, you won't really understand what the benefit is. It's just a name, right? Well, yes and no.

Most Clans in the game are, indeed, just names, but certain clans can give you passive buffs, and that's where Rare and Legendary Clans come in. The game randomly rolls a clan for you, and chances are, you're going to end up in a clan with no benefits. Here are the roll rates for all the clans:

  • Common Clans: 84%
  • Rare Clans: 15%
  • Legendary Clans: 1%

Fire Force Reignition Reroll token
Screenshot by Destructoid

As you can tell, in most cases, you'll end up in a Common Clan. Of course, the game is more than happy to let you reroll your clan... for a price (250 Robux). You can also sometimes get Clan rerolls by using codes. If you manage to roll a Rare or a Legendary Clan, you can get a buff that will apply to you as long as you keep your Clan's last name.

Fire Force Online Clan Tier List

Obviously, we aren't going to list every single Clan in the game (because Common ones don't give you any benefits), so this tier list is only going to include Rare and Legendary Clans along with their benefits.

Tier Clan Name Rarity Buff
SS Dragon Legendary Your M1 and Heavy attacks do more damage. Always useful.
S Burns Legendary You overheat slower, and your stamina regenerates faster. Super helpful if you find yourself overheating.
S Obi Legendary Path of Death and Steeled for Death mode durations are increased. It can be absolutely devastating.
A Shinmon Legendary Your dodge window is increased, and your counters do more damage. Great if you are good at countering.
A Boyle Legendary Faster Stmina Regen and more EXP gain. The faster stamina helps a lot, and extra EXP is always nice.
A Kakame Rare Gain a damage buff when in a party. Really useful if you like to play with friends.
B Kusakabe Legendary Gain more EXP and grace gain. Very Useful.
B Oze Rare Gain more EXP from training. Useful as you level up.
B Sagamiya Rare Less overheat gain. It can come in handy if you are always getting punched.
B Mori Rare Get a small damage increase after a perfect dodge. Useful but only if you can pull of a perfect dodge.
C Oji Rare Recover faster from block breaks
C DFlesh Rare Shop items have a reduced price for you. Can come in handy during early game.
D Son Rare Take more money from enemies when you grip them. It's okay.
D Montgomery Rare Your dodge cooldown is reduced after doing a perfect dodge. Just think, your reward for dodging is another dodge! Not that great.
D Kotatsu Rare Lose less money when you get gripped. Not very useful.

And there you have it. Good luck rolling for the best clan in Fire Force Reignition. If you're in the mood to play a similar game, check out GHOUL://RE for a very similar experience, which uses the same combat style.

genshin impact skirk signature weapon

Genshin Impact is expected to release Skirk as a playable character in the version 5.7 update. The beta leaks suggest that she is a Sword user, and her signature weapon is called Azurelight.

Luckily, the stats and effects of the new 5-star weapon were also leaked, and it looks amazing.

Skirk signature weapon stats leaked

Here are all the stats and effects of Skirk's signature weapon at level 90 R1 in Genshin Impact, based on leaks via @_hiragara_ on X:

  • Base ATK - 608
  • Second stat - 33.1% CRIT Rate
  • Effects - Casting the Elemental Skill increases the wielder's ATK by 24%. When the wielder has zero Elemental Energy, their ATK is increased by 24%, and CRIT DMG is increased by 40%.

Azurelight appears to be a pretty solid one. It has a fairly high Base ATK and provides a good amount of CRIT Rate. Furthermore, the Sword's passive increases the wielder's ATK and gives a huge CRIT DMG bonus.

While the CRIT DMG bonus on the passive is great, getting these buffs on other characters will be difficult because the effects will only trigger when the wielder has zero elemental energy. That said, the weapon itself will be a decent option because of the CRIT Rate and ATK bonuses.

https://twitter.com/Genshin_7/status/1720414468809920595

Azurelight materials and where to farm

Listed below are all the materials you will need to level up Azurelight in Genshin Impact:

  • Night-Wind's Mystic Consideration x5
  • Night-Wind's Mystic Premonition x14
  • Night-Wind's Mystic Augury x14
  • Night-Wind's Mystic Revelation x6
  • Refractive Bud x23
  • Bewildering Broadleaf x27
  • Illusory Leafcoil x41
  • Sentry's Wooden Whistle x15
  • Warrior's Metal Whistle x23
  • Saurian-Crowned Warrior's Golden Whistle x27

You can farm the Night-Wind's Mystic Consideration and its higher rarity drops in Natlan's Ancient Watchtower domain on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

As for Refractive Bud, Bewildering Broadleaf, and Illusory Leafcoil drops, you can obtain them by defeating the Tenebrous Mimesis. Lastly, you can get the Whistle drops by defeating the Saurian Warriors. You can also obtain these materials from the in-game shop in exchange for Masterless Stardust and Starglitter.

You can also check Skirk's ascension and skill materials guide if you plan to get her in version 5.7.

Version 3.4 of Honkai Star Rail will be a huge update since it will feature the long-awaited collab with Fate/ Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works. Furthermore, the developers have confirmed that Phainon will be released in this update.

Here is a list of all the characters you can look forward to in version 3.4:

  • Phainon (5-star Physical - Destruction)
  • Saber (5-star Wind - Destruction)
  • Archer (5-star Quantum - The Hunt)

Phainon is one of the most popular characters in the game, and he will become playable as a 5-star Physical unit that follows the Path of Destruction.

Meanwhile, Saber and Archer will be released in version 3.4 as part of the HSR x FSN UBW collab. Both are 5-star characters and will be available until the end of version 3.6. Saber is a Wind unit and her Path is Destruction, while Archer's Path is The Hunt, and he is the first male Quantum unit. Luckily, Archer will also be available for free, and you can obtain him by logging into the game on July 11.

Version 3.5

Hysilens and cerydra are potential upcoming characters in hsr

Hysilens and Cerydra are members of the Chrysos Heirs and are rumored for a release in Honkai Star Rail 3.5. According to leaks via @_hiragara_, the former is speculated to be a 5-star Physical unit that follows the Path of Nihility, while the latter is a 5-star Harmony character. Unfortunately, there's no info on Cerydra's potential element as of this writing.

Version 3.6

HSR 3.6 will be an interesting update since the leaks only hint at two new playable characters, both alternate versions of existing ones: March 7th and Dan Heng. March 7th's element will remain Ice, but her new version will follow the Path of Remembrance. Meanwhile, Dan Heng's new self is called Terravox, a 5-star Fire unit following the Path of Preservation.

Version 3.7

As of this writing, version 3.7 of HSR is expected to release only one new character named Cyrene. Similar to March 7th's new version, Cyrene is also a 5-star Ice unit that follows the Path of Remembrance.

Version 3.8

constance will likely release in hsr 3.8

Lastly, HoYoverse might release Constance in Honkai Star Rail 3.8. She was originally introduced as a minor antagonist before Penacony was released. Unfortunately, there's no info on her element and Path as of writing, but more details should be available when the update gets closer.

At any rate, the character roadmap is simply based on leaks, so it is subject to change.

genshin impact primogems and fates

The estimated Primogems and total pull count for Genshin Impact 5.7 was recently shared online. While many are looking forward to the new version because of Skirk, some may not be able to obtain enough pulls for her.

Genshin Impact 5.7 Primogems and pull count estimation

Here's a brief breakdown of all the Primogems, Intertwined Fates, and Acquaint Fates that you can obtain for free in the Genshin Impact 5.7 update, as per info shared by @_hiragara_:

  • Quest - Primogem x340
  • Spiral Abyss - Primogem x800
  • Imaginarium Theater - Primogem x800
  • Achievement - Primogem x20
  • Tumult Subduer - Primogem x450
  • Character Trials - Primogem x40
  • Daily Commissions - Primogem x2520
  • Events - Primogem x2390
  • Version 5.7 update - Primogem x600
  • Version 5.8 livestream - Primogem x300
  • Misc Code - Primogem x60
  • Shop Reset - Intertwined Fate x5, Acquaint Fate x5
  • Battle Pass - Acquaint Fate x5

Adding them will give you up to 8320 Primogems, 10 Acquaint Fates, and five Intertwined Fates. This is only worth 57 pulls on a limited banner and 10 pulls on the permanent banner. This is far from enough to guarantee even one 5-star character or weapon, which is pretty disappointing considering the estimated pull count for version 5.6 is roughly the same.

That said, the estimated pull count does not include the rewards obtainable from the rumored new endgame content, so it may give a few more pulls, but it is unlikely it will be enough for a 5-star.

F2P players may struggle to gather enough Primogems for Skirk in version 5.7.

Version 5.7 pull count with Welkin Moon and pass Battle Pass

genshin impact welkin moon primogem
Screenshot by Destructoid

If you purchase two Welkin Moon subscriptions, you can get up to 600 Genesis Crystals and 3780 Primogems, worth 27 pulls. Additionally, if you buy the Battle Pass, you will get 680 Primogems and four Intertwined Fates, which will finally give you enough pulls for a guaranteed 5-star character or weapon.

The total pull is only based on the leaked info from the beta, so it is subject to change. The amount of Primogems you can obtain in Genshin Impact 5.7 will also depend on your participation in each event.

wuwa 2.4 lupa drip marketing

Kuro Games has announced another new character named Lupa for the upcoming Wuthering Waves 2.4 update. She is a 5-star Resonator from Septimont, a city-state in Rinascita.

Furthermore, we have leaks sharing details about Lupa's potential weapon type and Attribute.

WuWa 2.4 drip marketing reveals Lupa

Following Cartethyia's long-awaited drip marketing, Wuthering Waves has revealed another 5-star Resonator called Lupa for the upcoming version 2.4 update. She is a warrior from Septimont and has yet to make an in-game appearance, so we don't have a lot of info about her.

Luckily, the official drip marketing post provides a brief introduction to the character, which reads:

"The star gladiator of Septimont, a warrior with a pure heart, untamed spirit, intense passion, and immense potential.

She will relentlessly pursue the things she admires, cherishing each moment that allows her to indulge in competition and self-expression on stage."

Lupa is a well-known gladiator in Septimont with a pure heart and a lot of potential. Furthermore, she always pursues things she admires, and cherishes every moment when she's competing.

https://twitter.com/Wuthering_Waves/status/1920327804085813320

Lupa's drip marketing post has also revealed a new logo of the Sentinel, who guards Septimont. It is difficult to say what type of creature they are, but we can see they have a wing at the back and are holding a long spear. They could be a fusion of multiple animals, similar to Imperator.

Expected Attribute and weapon

Lupa's Attribute and weapon type haven't officially been revealed, but leaks by Stepleaker suggest that she could be a Fusion Resonator and uses a Broadblade. Interestingly, Lupa can be seen holding a long spear in her splash art. This means she could be similar to Jiyan, who also switches to a spear during combat, but his main weapon type is Broadblade.

Therefore, it is safe to say that Lupa also switches her weapon during combat. Furthermore, her being a Fusion character makes sense since we can see multiple fire creatures in her splash art, and fire users in WuWa usually have the Fusion Attribute.

Since Wuthering Waves revealed Lupa after Cartethyia, and based on the past trend, the Septimont warrior will likely be released in the second phase of version 2.4 update

Payphone in Schedule 1

Schedule 1's second major content update has dropped, and v0.3.5 contains a fair amount of new items for players to explore.

The second content update has been in development for quite some time, and Tyler also showcased some of it on his dev streams. Players can finally enjoy all the content, available on both the beta and full versions of the game. Let's take a look to see what's been added to everyone's favorite drug tycoon simulator.

Schedule 1 v0.3.5 update additions

We don't have any new locations or weed strains as part of the new patch. However, there are indeed some exciting additions to explore.

  • Added jukebox. Purchaseable from Bleuball's boutique for $1500.
  • Added storage unit property.
  • Added save export feature.
  • Added save import feature.

The Jukebox can be purchased from the Boutique store, located beside Ray's Realty. The item can play all 19 tracks that are part of the OST. Eight new tracks have also been added that are composed by KAESUL. To play the tracks, you'll have to buy and place the Jukebox at a location of your liking.

A new storage property has also been added at the north end of the overpass. While Steam Cloud sync is yet to be made available, players can now enjoy the ability to export and import saves. This definitely sets up some cool opportunities for you to share save files with your friends and create custom scenarios for you to explore.

https://twitter.com/ScheduleOneGame/status/1920354902695710904

Schedule 1 v0.3.5 update tweaks and bug fixes

The latest update also includes a host of tweaks and bug fixes that are now valid for the current version.

  • Consolidated a number of individual safe files into larger combined files. This should improve save times and work a bit better with Steam Cloud Sync.
  • Fixed loading docks being unselectable at the barn and the dock warehouse.
  • Fixed online balance being $100 on a fresh save.

Schedule 1 upcoming changes

A few of the upcoming changes have also been mentioned in the patch notes, which also include improvements to employees.

  • Employee beds are to be replaced with lockers.
  • Item slot filters.
  • The ability for you to transfer employees across multiple properties.
  • Change the trash pickup areas.

The upcoming updates should be arriving at the end of May. Till then, players will be able to listen to music on the Jukebox as they expand their business.
