Stardew Valley's weird and wonderful NPCs are at the heart of its appeal, but they sure are lazy. When they're not following a strict schedule, handing out quests, or hanging out in the Stardrop Saloon, the town's residents don't lift a finger – but an essential new mod changes that.

As one of the oldest active MMORPGs, it's far from surprising to see that the Elder Scrolls Online system requirements aren't too tricky to meet, and this works out great for those with older gaming PCs who want to get started with this epic adventure.

Over 17,000 people a day play Elder Scrolls Online, and those are just the Steam numbers. Having the best GPU or CPU is far from a requirement, but the more powerful your gaming PC is, the better the game will perform.

Rumors of a brand new Razer gaming mouse are hotting up, thanks to a brand new leak. While the company hasn't confirmed anything so far, new images have appeared online that seemingly show off a brand new Razer Blackadder V4 Pro, an upgrade to the original Blackadder that's a popular choice for gamers.

If Razer is working on a new Blackadder, it isn't a total surprise. We reported on a potential Razer Blackadder V4 Pro sighting when it was being used by Counter-Strike 2 pro NiKo during a tournament just a few months ago, with the company declining to comment at the time. Razer might not have made its plans clear yet, but this latest leak shows off a mouse that could be a strong contender as one of the best gaming mouse options out there, especially for fans of its no-frills design, if it can improve enough on the original.

Intel will launch a refreshed lineup of its Intel Core Ultra 200 CPUs later this year, with the chips based on a refreshed variant of the Intel Arrow Lake architecture that powers its current flagship gaming CPUs, according to a new report. These so-called Intel Arrow Lake refresh chips are expected to come with increases in clock speed as well as AI number crunching, for modest all-around gains in performance.

The new Intel CPU lineup could help bolster the company's efforts to attract gaming PC users to once again buy its chips, after several years of AMD's X3D CPUs proving dominant in gaming performance and topping our best gaming CPU charts. However, the new report also suggests the performance gains will be modest, so this is far from a nailed-on certainty.

While once upon a time I believed that World of Tanks was a hyper-realistic military simulator, I've discovered over the years that it's anything but. Since I started at PCGamesN it's crossed over with Warhammer 40k, tank sport anime Girls und Panzer, and the historical TV show Vikings. Actor Vinnie Jones even quit his job as Santa's chief enforcer to join the game (yes, that one is 100% real). The crossovers haven't slowed down, either, because now some old-school videogame legends are joining the fray: Duke Nukem and Lara Croft.

What are the best Stardew Valley mods? The mod scene for ConcernedApe's acclaimed life sim has been thriving on PC despite having no official Steam Workshop support. Dedicated modders have been working to alter almost everything available in the game, from adding game-breaking cheats like god mode to texture overhauls that turn Stardew Valley into a pixelated fairytale.

July 7, 2025 We checked the server sever status of Dune Awakening.

Is Dune Awakening down? While we still love single-player games, there's also something to be said for the chaotic joy to be had in multiplayer experiences, especially massively multiplayer ones.

One of the few downsides that comes with playing with friends and strangers around the world is the instability of online servers. As a survival MMO, Dune Awakening could fall victim to severe server downtime, so if you're struggling to get into Arrakis, that could be why. What are the best submarine games on PC? Submarine simulator games were reasonably popular back in the '90s, but if you're looking for new submarine games, your options are much more limited. If you're willing to go through all the hassle of making some of those '90s classics like Silent Hunter, Silent Service, and Aces of the Deep run on a modern PC, then power to you.

Submarine games come in a few different shapes and forms, with some aiming to replicate the minutiae of everyday operations on a military vessel. Meanwhile, others focus on stalking battleships and landing the perfect torpedo strike. Submarine games are about much more than sinking other ships, though, incorporating crew management, strategic use of resources, navigation skills, and good positioning if you and your crew want to return safely home. Join us as we list some of the best submarine games you can play right now, from free PC games to early access FTL-likes.

When even Microsoft themselves start promising a version of Windows 11 that can launch with half its functions turned off, it's time to accept that such a heaving desktop OS is an uncomfortable fit for handheld gaming PCs. Lenovo already have, launching a new version of their Legion Go S that swaps Windows 11 for the more naturally portable-minded, as-seen-on-Steam-Deck SteamOS, and instantly becomes a better handheld for it.

Better doesn't mean excellent – the Steam Deck OLED is quieter, longer-lasting, and generally easier to handle. But between its wiser choice of operating system and relatively affordable pricing, the Legion Go S SteamOS is at least a refreshing change from the succession of fiddly, expensive devices that seemingly every non-Valve manufacturer has been siccing on each other. If this is a sign of a sea change, by all means, ring my knell.

Final Fantasy IX 25th Anniversary Fan Art Project, Video Shared

Square Enix released Final Fantasy IX in Japan on July 7, 2000, and it shared a special movie video and kicked off a 25th Anniversary official Fan Art Project to celebrate. This follows up on other promotions to honor this Final Fantasy title, like Zoff glasses and Adorable Arts figures. The art collection takes place between July 7, 2025 and October 31, 2025, and is divided by region. As an example, folks in North America, Europe, Oceania, South America, Africa, and some regions and Asia submit to one site and people in Japan turn in designs to another one.

First, here's the Final Fantasy IX 25th Anniversary Special Movie. This video features major moments from this installment. As it does, the theme song "Melodies of Life" plays. There are some spoilers shown in it, particularly involving Dagger, so keep that in mind if you watch and aren't familiar with this installment.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvLmrn7EGiA

In the case of the Final Fantasy IX 25th Anniversary Fan Art Project, this is not a contest. It is a collection of works for display. Re-Ment Will Sell 6 Animal Crossing Happy Room Sets

Re-Ment announced it will release an Animal Crossing Happy Room diorama collection that consists of six sets inspired by characters and locations in the city. Each room will be sold separately for 1,540円 (~$11). The full box consists of six boxes, so it seems like a situation where buying a full box would guarantee you the entire set. It will show up in Japan on November 29, 2025, and Hobby Link Japan is already taking pre-orders outside Japan.

Of the six Happy Room options, three showcase facilities and shops found in an Animal Crossing and three focus on rooms in a house. There's Timmy and Tommy at their store, Isabelle at Town Hall, and Brewster at The Roost as the first three. Then there's Marshall the squirrel in a room with a piano, Bob the cat in a room with "kids" style furniture, and Whitney the wolf in a room with the rose bed. In each case, the character figures and the furniture peaces are able to be removed and rearranged so someone could decorate as they'd like.

Here's the official promotional image showing all six sets.

While we need to wait until November 2025 for these sets, there will be another collection of Animal Crossing merchandise coming soon. The snow globe collection of gachapon toys that involve adding water return in July 2025 in Japan

The Re-Ment Animal Crossing Happy Room sets will launch in Japan on November 29, 2025. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available on the Nintendo Switch.

Final Fantasy IX FFIX Zoff collaboration

Intermestic revealed the new Zoff collaboration glasses and merchandise based on Square Enix's Final Fantasy IX to help celebrate the game's 25th anniversary. Each character-inspired design features imagery from their design. The company has also opened online pre-orders for the FFIX glasses on the brand's official website.

The Final Fantasy IX Zoff glasses will be available in three different models. The first two will be respectively based on Zidane and Vivi, with each frame incorporating elements from the characters' attire. So Zidane's references his tail, dagger, and belt. Vivi's references his eyes in a notable way. Both of them will have the same price tag, which is ¥13,300 (~$91.45).

There is also a third Premium Model that will be available at a higher cost of ¥14,400 (~$98.90). While this model's design is still not completely finalized yet, it will feature elements from the game's world, such as the Two Moons, the Crystal, and the Iifa Tree.

Here's how those Final Fantasy XI Zoff glasses designs look:

Other than the primary glasses products, Zoff will also sell more related merchandise. A Moogle-shaped cleaner mascot will be available at ¥1,500 (~$10.30). The brand will also sell a set of 7 random cleaner clothes out of the 9 available designs that will cost ¥3,500 (~$24.05). The latter will also be available via physical capsule toys at 6 select Zoff outlets for ¥500.

In addition, Zoff is holding a social media follow-and-repost sweepstake, where five lucky people in Japan who participated by July 14, 2025, can win a multipurpose cotton case with Zidane's artwork.

https://twitter.com/Zoff_INFO/status/1942027033250312596

Pre-orders for the Final Fantasy IX glasses and merchandise by Zoff are available online until August 3, 2025, with shipments expected to begin in late February 2026. While Zoff does not formally handle international shipping, it suggests people residing outside Japan use a forwarding service, such as Tenso or Goyokikiya.

hypermegatech super pocket blaze evercade data east snk neogeo

The two latest HyperMegaTech! Super Pocket releases take about as different an aesthetic sensibility as possible! One's all black with subtle gold accents and seeks to imitate the premium feel of its inspiration in a budget package. The other is exceedingly bright and feels like it's ready for a day at the beach. That said, the game libraries of the two appeal to the same audience of '90s arcade die-hards.

Super Pocket: NeoGeo Edition

You'd likely expect to find a lot of fighting games on the SNK version, and you'd be… half right? Three of the 14 games fit that description, which may feel a bit low for the company, but they're fairly well-chosen: Fatal Fury Special, Samurai Shodown II and The Last Blade. These seem chosen to be as representative and enjoyable as possible while keeping licensing costs down? There's no King of Fighters, but there's some stuff to enjoy. (Especially on the Super Pocket, which has no way to support multiplayer.)

As an MVS fan without a heck of a lot of fighting skills, it's nice to see the rest of the platform's library get representation. The platform's next-best genres are scrolling shooters and beat-'em-ups, so they're here too. Alpha Mission II, Last Resort and Blazing Star are here for shmupsters. Punchy players can enjoy Mutation Nation, Sengoku 3, and a game with one of the best subtitles in history, King of the Monsters 2: The Next Thing. Living in the middle are the run-and-gun games: Metal Slug X, Shock Troopers: 2nd Squad and Top Hunter: Roddy & Cathy.

Rounding out the collection are isometric racer Over Top and future sport title Soccer Brawl. The latter isn't exactly one of the MVS' strongest sports entries, but we suppose it's included because it drew inspiration from Europe's extremely janky but inexplicably popular cyber-athletics trend.

It's a decent selection of games, and the slick black look works well both on its own and as a neutral-looking model if you're just looking as an Evercade player. (It remains unfortunate where some of this money goes given SNK's current ownership. I guess that's just us, though! We like human rights and living journalists, we're quirky like that.)

Super Pocket: Data East Edition

This Super Pocket model's marketing shots and box art don't quite match. Instead of the muted pumpkin orange and periwinkle those images depict, the unit itself features more of a sunshine yellow and bright sky blue. Frankly, the actual color makes a lot more sense! It's fun and a good fit for summer.

The Data East Edition's included library does include a few '80s highlights from the company, but smartly focuses mostly on its '90s era. After all, BurgerTime, Karate Champ, Lock 'n' Chase, Breakthru, Burnin' Rubber, B-Wings and Peter Pepper's Ice Cream Factory are fine enough? But the later releases are designed with longer play sessions in mind, which fits the Super Pocket best.

Data East was also a practitioner of the beat-'em-up arts, with Bad Dudes vs. Dragon Ninja, Spinmaster and Crude Buster making this collection. It also did a lot of work in the arcade platforming space! The two Joe & Mac games may be known by a larger audience, and they're joined by Super BurgerTime, Edward Randy and Tumblepop.

hypermegatech super pocket blaze evercade data east magical drop chain reaction

The two Dark Seal games are a fun addition. They're essentially isometric Gauntlet, with a bit more about the fighting and depth to make it feel like the connective tissue between that game and the later Dungeons & Dragons arcade titles. It also feels like the developers enjoyed the bit of world-building they got to do in the margins? Regardless, they're still a lot of fun to play.

Our favorite game of the bunch is Chain Reaction, perhaps more popularly known as Magical Drop. It's an all-time puzzle classic, and exactly the sort of thing you'd want in your pocket. We'd love an Evercade cartridge that focuses on the genre, making any Super Pocket into something that could fill that need! For now, this isn't too bad.

The two latest additions to the HyperMegaTech! Super Pocket line are out now. They join the previous models, featuring Capcom, Taito, Technos and Atari. For more on the handhelds' cartridge ecosystem, check out our Evercade archive.

umamusume pretty derby review

After years of waiting, Cygames has finally localized Umamusume: Pretty Derby for an English audience and ported it onto Steam. With an updated UI that makes playing in full screen a comfortable experience, it feels like the ideal way to experience the world of umamusume racing.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby takes place in a world where horses don't exist. Instead, we have umamusume, horse girls who take on the names and legacies of real life race horses. Stronger and faster than the average human, these umamusume love racing and running, and the various story modes revolve around these races, which are also based on real life racing seasons. There's no main story, per se. Rather, there are story arcs that focus on an umamusume or group. For example, the first story revolves around Mejiro McQueen, whereas the second one's about Rice Shower.

umamusume pretty derby mejiro mcqueen story mode
Screenshot by Siliconera

The meat of the game centers on raising your umamusume in Career Mode, and then setting her either on your team for daily races, PVP, and events. Career Mode's story focuses on you, a Trainer at the highly competitive Tracen Academy, helping your trainee through their three years at school. Each career takes three in-game years (72 turns), with set goals that differ between each umamusume. Some want to reach a certain number of fans within a time limit, while others have goals tied to specific races.

The thing about Umamususume: Pretty Derby is that it's a game that hinges on luck. Even if you've gathered the best support cards and sparks for your particular girl, RNG can really mess you up. One unsuccessful training session, even if it had a low failure rate, can set you back three whole turns to restore your umamusume to full health. Not doing so can cost a race, which can then snowball into a failed career. The unpredictability of Career Mode is frustrating, admittedly. However, I don't really mind it as much as I might have before. The newest scenario on the Japanese server makes it so ridiculously easy to raise everybody that it's nice to actually put in the work again.

tm opera o umamusume pretty derby
Screenshot by Siliconera

Unless you've played it yourself or seen clips of it, it can be hard to understand the appeal of Umamusume. "Horse girls based on real life race horses race and then perform a concert afterwards" sounds pretty nuts. If you enjoy sports manga, you'll probably enjoy the stories, as they're very focused on themes of hard work, friendship, and such. The horse races are very exciting to watch, too. Everything—from the sound design, cinematography, and sheer adrenaline of watching your girl dart past her rivals to get to the finish line first—really pulls you in.

Like with Granblue Fantasy, the in-house localization team did fantastic with Umamusume: Pretty Derby. It's a good mix of localization and translation that makes for a comfortable reading experience. I'm also a huge fan of how the Steam version splits up the screen compared to the DMM version. It's actually full screen, and it's easy to reference information like the log or my support deck.

The one thing I'm on the fence about is the accelerated schedule. On one hand, it'll be nice to get umamusume that the Japanese server has had for years instead of having to wait for their debut. On the other, we don't have as much time to save between banners compared to when the Asian servers launched these characters or support cards.

The positive about this, though, is that the concept of "limited characters" doesn't really exist in Umamusume: Pretty Derby. I pulled the New Year Kitasan Black during summer, for example. Even if a banner comes and goes, you still have a chance (albeit a lower one) to get who you want. So there's no FOMO or anything like that. You can jump in at any time and not lament about missing a limited character you wanted.

umamusume pretty derby training
Screenshot by Siliconera

Umamusume: Pretty Derby has been blowing up on social media lately, so people who didn't know about it before might have seen what the gameplay is like through screenshots or videos. The heavy RNG and long career mode might be a turn-off for some, but I still urge people to try it out, especially while we're still receiving daily log-in bonuses for the global launch. It's definitely a game you have to experience to understand what all the hype is about.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby is readily available on the Windows PC and mobile devices.

PEAK big egg inside its nest

As you advance through each of PEAK's levels, you'll encounter all kinds of food that can save you in a pinch. While you've likely encountered plenty of packaged food from luggage, berries, and maybe even a beehive or two, finding eggs is more challenging than you'd expect.

Where to find Big Egg in PEAK

Big eggs spawn exclusively in PEAK's Caldera level. Caldera is the fourth region you'll enter after tackling the game's beach, jungle, and snowy levels. Once you arrive here, you'll occasionally find eggs inside nests atop various rock formations.

PEAK big egg nest spawn
Screenshot by Destructoid

You'll typically find these nests atop the peaks of Caldera's various rocks. Since the level's lava heights change, you won't have to worry about your eggs falling in and melting. Instead, you'll need to focus on staying atop the rocks until you spot a nest or two.

Nests will usually contain anywhere between one to three big eggs. You'll spot multiple nests around Caldera, with their exact spawns changing with every daily map. If you find a few during a run, remember their locations, as you can revisit them on the same day to reclaim your eggs for a quick snack.

How to use Big Egg

Big eggs by themselves aren't particularly useful until you either drop or throw them to the ground. Doing this reveals a regular egg that you can eat to reduce hunger and, if cooked, provides a small stamina boost.

PEAK egg from a big egg
Screenshot by Destructoid

Alternatively, you can cook the big egg itself and throw it on the ground. The egg inside will be cooked, allowing you to eat it without needing a fire or risking your life in Caldera's lava. Eating the egg restores hunger and completes the Gourmand Badge if you already ate a coconut, yellow winterberry, and honeycomb.

Since the egg is the last portion of this badge, make sure you explore PEAK's other three maps first before progressing into Caldera and obtaining this final item. You can't backtrack to Alpine, so you'll either need to eat everything beforehand or bring it with you and have a feast near the end.

Death Stranding 2 Sam Fragile hug

Have you ever heard of "post-game depression"? Even if you haven't, there's a good chance you've suffered from it or at the very least experienced some of the symptoms.

Post-game depression, or PGD, is a feeling you get after finishing a video game you particularly enjoyed and the sadness that accompanies the fact that it's now over. I'm currently going through it after finishing Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, and it's happened to me many times in life.

Sam Death Stranding 2 crying in the shower
Screenshot by Destructoid

It happened to me with the original Death Stranding, it happened to me with several of the most memorable games in my life like BioShock Infinite and Metal Gear Solid 4, it happened to me earlier this year after I finished Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and it will inevitably happen again. It most often occurs with singleplayer games that have a start and end point, and once the end point is reached, you're left feeling sad or hollow that the journey has ended. The feeling can sometimes be exacerbated depending on the subject matter of said game, as well.

PGD is a very real thing. It's similar to "post-concert depression" which many concert-goers and music fans describe in the days following an event where they saw a favorite band of theirs perform live. Going from the highest of highs at a concert and then returning back to "normal life" feels comparatively like a low, and the depression sinks in. It's especially true when you look forward to it for so long, and then it's gone.

With PGD, the same feeling occurs in the days or weeks as you play through a lengthy singleplayer experience that you keep going back to at the end of each day as an escape, or just as an exciting story or to live through, or a gameplay loop that scratches a certain itch in your head.

That feeling of looking forward to playing the game as you make your way through everyday life is unmatched. Having a game, movie, book, TV show, or any sort of medium to look forward to helps make life special, and once it's gone, it feels like there's a hole in your soul.

This feeling is perfectly normal, I think. Living as a human being is difficult in 2025, no matter where you are in life. Having the joy of a video game to fall back on and then having it come to an end is enough to make anyone feel sad, and you're absolutely valid to feel this way.

And so I ask you now, dear reader, have you ever experienced post-game depression? Which game made you feel this way? How did you find a way to cope with it? Let us know in the poll and answer in the comments down below. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone has to say.

A player wearing a sunflower dress posing with a group of villagers including Scar, Simba, Peter Pan, Moana, Eric, and Vanessa (Ursula) in disney dreamlight valley

Star Path tasks are generally fairly tough to get done since many of them are presented as vague hints and riddles in Disney Dreamlight Valley. One of the many quests you'll come across while working on this event asks you to find a villager who demands the lion's share.

There are lots of characters you can interact with around the valley, and the roster just keeps growing, so it can be tough to find the right one for this task. If you're not sure who you're supposed to be looking for, here's the identity of the villager who demands the lion's share in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Villager who demands the lion's share in Disney Dreamlight Valley

A player wearing a yellow sunflower crown taking a picture with Scar and Moana in disney dreamlight valley
Screenshot by Destructoid

The villager who demands the lion's share is Scar from The Lion King in DDV. The term "lion's share" refers to the largest part of something, and in this case, means Scar wants to rule over all other lions. It's also a reference to him being a lion, so this hint has two aspects you can use to solve it.

Since Scar isn't the only lion in the valley, it can be a decently tricky clue to solve. Simba and Nala are also villagers, although neither of them is focused on gaining power, so they don't fit this clue. There are also several other villains who you could argue want it all, like Hades, Ursula, Jafar, Maleficent, and Mother Gothel, but only Scar works for this specific task.

Chat with a villager who demands the lion's share in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To complete the chat with a villager who demands the lion's share task for the Adventures in Neverland Star Path event, you need to have two daily discussions with Scar. You can only select one conversation with each character per day, so getting this task done takes a minimum of two days.

You can get this quest done by finding Scar around the valley, interacting with him, and selecting the option that appears next to the dialogue bubble icon. The exact text next to this icon changes each time you interact with Scar, but the icon always stays the same to make finding the chatting option easier.

Like all villagers, Scar freely wanders around the valley and any DLC worlds you may have, unless you toggle him off. You can find his exact location using the map, and he'll always be either wandering around outside, visiting Scrooge McDuck's, or dining at one of the two restaurants.

The chat with scar option marked in disney dreamlight valley
Screenshot by Destructoid

Completing this task gets you 15 Tokens to spend in the Adventures in Neverland Star Path event. It's a decent amount for minimal effort, but you'll likely still need more if you're hoping to claim one of the better prizes. Some other Star Path duties you may want to tackle next to earn more Tokens are chatting with a member of the family Madrigal, feeding Sunbird critters their favorite food, and giving a clumsy villager his favorites.

While you're working on this Star Path duty and other ones around the valley, be sure to also tackle the Summer Sizzle event running alongside it. Both events are only around for a short time and have plenty of exclusive rewards you can earn, so completing them simultaneously is essential if you want to earn them all.

Promo art for the Eevee Grove expansion in Pokemon TCG Pocket

It's July, which means the July 22 Pokémon Presents is fast approaching, where, for an unspecified amount of time (likely 30 minutes), we are expected to get a host of new information from various Pokémon projects that are either out or coming soon.

Pokémon Legends Z-A is a given, as well as likely news for the new Pokémon TCG Pocket expansion and some new Pokémon Go details, alongside a sprinkling of the other Pokémon live service games from Pokémon Sleep and beyond. But there is one thing that is currently on the minds of every trainer across the world.

Will we see the next generation of new Pokémon make an appearance during this event?

https://twitter.com/pokemon_cojp/status/1927712715335712964?s=46&t=lKl0EfgBOrCgN4aPWj0k6Q

Generation 10 is likely to be a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive title when it eventually comes up, and although Pokémon Company is focusing most of its efforts onto Z-A ahead of its worldwide October 16 release date, maybe now is the perfect chance to at least show off a theme or the starters for the next big Pokémon release to start getting people excited.

If it were to be revealed in any capacity, we likely would get something at the very end that showed a few brief teasers and nothing more, with a wider reveal likely planned for later in the year or early 2026 ahead of whatever release date the game would have. I personally don't expect to see it myself. It feels too soon, and it would make more sense to reveal it next year during Pokémon's 30th anniversary. But I've been proven wrong before.

There were sprinklings of rumors about the next generation Pokémon title during the destructive leaks that occurred last year, but considering most of the leaks came from clout-chasing content creators and social media accounts, I won't be giving the information the time of day. I'll wait to see an announcement with my own eyes.

But enough about that, do you expect to see Generation 10 revealed this year in any capacity? Or is it to remain a dream?

Updated: We last updated the All Star Tower Defense X tier list on July 7, 2025.

Just like in any other TD game on Roblox out there, the best units can make the most challenging game modes feel easy to beat. The same rule applies in All Star Tower Defense X. With that in mind, we prepared the following All Star Tower Defense X tier list to help you roll and use only the best units in the game.

All Star Tower Defense X Tier List

A tier list of all units in All Star Tower Defense X Roblox experience, made via TierMaker, that goes as follows: Meta: Dark Wing, Michishibo, Etri, Super God Koku, Jin Sung, Slayer Mage, Venus, Onwin, Super Borul, Blackstache; S-tier: Zorro, Yuni, Water Goddess, Whitestache, Xero, King Kaoe, The Strongest One, Airren, Myserious X, Ikki (Hollow), Kujo, Explosion Artist, Ramen Grill Master, Shirtless Magician; A-tier: Kosuke (TS), Borul, Janji, Ikki (Halfmask), Super Koku, Dual Servant, Nezichi, Stampede, Zaruto (Sage), Ruffy (Lobby); B-tier: Ice Queen, Humble-Swordman (Selection), Zio Brundo, Koro (Lobby), Gen, The Cursed One, Vegu, Kosuke, Koku; C-tier: Zaruta, Jon Jo, Ikki (Earyl), Koro, Ruffy, Lami, Humble-Swordman, Captain; D-tier: Spirit Detective, Uru, Anti Magician.
All currently available All Star Tower Defense X units ranked from best to worst - Image via TierMaker.

  • Meta: Dark Wing, Michishibo, Etri, Super God Koku, Jin Sung, Slayer Mage, Venus, Onwin, Super Borul, Blackstache
  • S-tier: Zorro, Yuni, Water Goddess, Whitestache, Xero, King Kaoe, The Strongest One, Airren, Mysterious X, Ikki (Hollow), Kujo, Explosion Artist, Ramen Grill Master, Shirtless Magician
  • A-tier: Kosuke (TS), Borul, Janji, Ikki (Halfmask), Super Koku, Dual Servant, Nezichi, Stampede, Zaruto (Sage), Ruffy (Lobby)

  • C-tier: Zaruta, Jon Jo, Ikki (Earyl), Koro, Ruffy, Lami, Humble-Swordman, Captain
  • D-tier: Spirit Detective, Uru, Anti Magician

The above All Star Tower Defense X tier list ranks all units in the game from best to worst based on their overall strength and usefulness across all game modes. Mainly, we ranked units while taking into consideration the following metrics:

  • DPS—Damage per second (Damage/Speed), taking into consideration damage over time effects.
  • Range—General range of units, both on placement and when upgraded.
  • AoE—Size and shape of their attacks, giving a slight advantage to full AoE units.
  • SPA (Speed)—Attack rate of units, which is more important for support units.
  • Type—Hill units can hit both ground and flying enemies, while ground units can't.
  • Abilities—Active and passive abilities that boost the DPS of a unit, buff allies, etc.
  • Utility—Freeze, bleed, stun, buffs, and other effects that units apply.
  • Shield-braking potential—Units with multi-hit attacks can break multiple shield layers in an instant. However, only specific units have multi-hit attacks.

Generally, rarer units are stronger but also more expensive to upgrade. Therefore, try to use 3 and 4-star units early on before switching to more powerful units. Also, some 3 and 4-star units can be evolved and upgraded to a 5-star version of the same unit, so make sure to keep them in your inventory. You can check if a unit can be evolved by clicking on it in your inventory. If the "Evolve" button isn't greyed out, then you can evolve them.

How to Get New Units in All Star Tower Defense X

Preview of the summon banner menu in All Star Tower Defense X Roblox experience.
The primary method of acquiring new units in ASTDX is by summoning them on banners.

The main way of getting new units in All Star Tower Defense X is by summoning them on banners using Gems. There are two banners, X and Y, which rotate every 60 minutes. You can only get the featured units from them. So, if you want to get a unit that isn't currently on one of the banners, you will have to wait for it to appear on one of them. Also, you can get special Capsules that work the same as regular banner summons but with different unit pools.

A ghost trapped in a summoning circle in front of a flaming cross in Phasmophobia

If you think you've mastered the art of ghost hunting in Phasmophobia, you may be ready to put your skills to the test. Weekly challenge modes are a great way to see how good you are.

These special trials modify how the game works, usually with rules that make the experience a lot harder. Successfully finishing the challenge gets you plenty of XP and cash, so it's well worth the effort. Here's the weekly challenge in Phasmophobia and everything you need to know to beat it.

Phasmophobia weekly challenge mode (July 6 to 13)

From July 6 to 13, the weekly challenge is Speed Demons in Phasmophobia. In this challenge, both you and the ghost are a lot faster than normal. Everything else in this trial is fairly normal, so it's not a super daunting one to get done.

How to complete the weekly challenge in Phasmophobia

To finish the weekly challenge mode in Phasmophobia, you need to correctly identify the ghost present on the featured map three times. The specific changes present in each trial mode vary, but your goal is always the same.

All Speed Demons weekly challenge modifiers in Phasmophobia

The Speed Demons challenge mode has several specific rules that modify the way the contract functions. Here are all the key details you need to know about this trial.

  • Map: Maple Lodge Campsite
  • Starting sanity: 100 percent
  • Setup time: None
  • Player speed: 150 percent
  • Ghost speed: 150 percent
  • Cursed Possession: Monkey Paw
  • Equipment: Mix of Tier I and Tier II items.

    • Tier I: Sanity Medication, Head Gear, Salt, Incense, Firelight, Sound Sensor, and UV Light.
    • Tier II: Sound Recorder, Ghost Writing Book, Crucifix, Parabolic Microphone, DOTS Projector, Flashlight, Spirit Box, Thermometer, Video Camera, EMF Reader, Photo Camera, and Tripod.

  • Missing Equipment: Motion Sensors and Igniters.

Phasmophobia Speed Demons weekly challenge mode tips

The Speed Demons challenge is one of the trickier ones you can attempt in Phasmophobia, so here are some of the best tips to help you get it done.

  • Bring all your equipment to the front gate. Before you start investigating, bring all of the items you need to the front door. You have no setup time at all, so if you prepare a bit by gathering the items you need near the front door, you'll save time and be much more likely to succeed.
  • Use Sound Sensors to find the ghost room. Place down all four of them around the map and head back to the truck to see which one picks up noise. Maple Lodge Campsite is a large map, so finding the ghost room on your own will take quite a while. It's much easier if you narrow down the right area first.
  • Place Crucifixes in the ghost room. Once you know where the ghost is, place your Crucifixes around the room for protection. This powerful tool can block a few ghost hunts, so make sure you use it to your advantage.
  • Recheck the ghost room frequently. The ghost has a higher likelihood than usual of changing its favorite room in this trial. Because of this, it's crucial you regularly check whether or not the ghost is still hanging out in the room you believe to be its favorite. If they move, you'll have to pick up all your gear and find the new location so you can gather evidence.
  • Play with friends. Your odds of success are a lot better with allies helping you through this tricky trial. With additional ghost hunters at your side, you can explore the map more quickly, work together to gather evidence, and continue the investigation even if you perish.
  • Don't give up. Since all equipment is provided to you for free, there's nothing to lose in this challenge. Because of this, you can keep trying without worrying about losing money or equipment. Give each contract your all and keep at it until you get it done.

When does the challenge mode change in Phasmophobia?

The challenge mode changes every Monday at 12am UTC, which translates to 7pm CT every Sunday. You have a full week to tackle each challenge mode when it's available. All challenge modes return regularly since they're on a rotating schedule, so if you don't get to finish one, you can always try it again in the future.

Next weekly challenge mode in Phasmophobia

The next weekly challenge mode, which will run from July 13 to 20, is Detectives Only. This trial begins as soon as the featured one for this week, which is Speed Demons, ends.

DC Worlds Collide Tier List

The best characters in DC Worlds Collide depend drastically on your progression and game mode. In the early levels and parts of mid-game pretty much any character is good. However this tier list will focus on late game progression outlining the best characters with maxed out skills levels and all badges unlocked. Let's talk about the best DPS, Tank, and Support in our DC Worlds Collide tier list.

DC Worlds Collide Character Tier List

This is a general overview of all characters in DC Worlds Collide before we dive into specific characters and classes below. It focuses on ranking characters based on all game modes and their late game performance with maxed out skills and badge skills unlocked. Note that when building a team comp always have a varied squad based on the three traits Mighty>Agile>Tactical>Mighty for a 30% damage boost on Trait weaknesses and go for Trait Combinations for additional HP and Attack bonuses. Let's dive into individual classes and characters below.

Tip: You can check all skills and extra skill effects for each character on the official DCWC Roster.

Tip #2: DC Worlds Collide isn't punishingly hard so at the end of the day, play what you like and you can use the tier list simply as a suggestion.

DC Worlds Collide DPS Tier List

best dps heroes in dc worlds collide

Currently in terms of DPS and crowd-control in DC Worlds Collide, Wonder Woman is a step beyond all the other damage-based characters as you'll see below. Then the S and A Tiers are filled with excellent options for your main DPS slot depending on which Trait you need for your team. Besides the Legendaries and Epics, there are really decent Elite DPS options with Huntress and Scarecrow that are easier to get for beginners. Let's dive into some highlights.

Best DPS in DC Worlds Collide

Unit Notes

Wonder Woman
Legendary
SSS Tier
Mighty DPS
• One of the best AOE damage characters
• What sets her apart is the enemy stun potential and massive crits
• Also has great single target damage with a chance to silence enemy skills
• Her passives make her extremely tanky for a DPS and buffs team crit rate

Sinestro
Legendary
S Tier
Tactical DPS
• Incredibly high damage Advanced skill
• Stacks debuffs
• Best combined with other characters with debuffs to make his Ultimate do incredible damage

Deathstroke
Legendary
S Tier
Agile DPS
• One of the fastest characters in the game due to his Turn Meter Boost passive
• Relies on basic attacks and often attacks multiple times per cycle
• Incredible damage-per-second with his Ultimate

Constantine
Epic
S Tier
Tactical DPS
• Takes some time getting used to the HP sacrifice mechanic but it's high payoff
• You can compensate HP loss with his Passive
• Some of the best Ultimate damage and overall burst DPS in the game
• Best of all, he's incredibly easy to get as he's one of the free units

Green Lantern - Hal
Legendary
A Tier
Mighty DPS
• Potentially one of the best Ultimates in the game since it can ramp up damage quick when maxed out
• Has great supporting skills by granting your team shields
• The shields also in turn boost his DPS

Green Arrow
Epic
A Tier
Agile DPS
• Deals amazing damage to enemies above 40% HP
• Use his Ultimate between 40% Enemy HP and about 60% to 80% to get the damage buff and another turn on Ultimate kill
• Also has great DoT damage and AOE damage from the rest of his kit
• Amazing for beginners

Doctor Fate
Legendary
A Tier
Tactical DPS
• Similar to Constantine in terms of the sacrifice HP mechanic for Ultimate that deals great AOE damage and Weakens
• Boosts his own DPS when allies are low HP which synergizes with Ultimate but also grants low HP allies a Shield
• Focuses on low HP enemies which is great for executing key targets

DC Worlds Collide Tank Tier List

best tank heroes in dc worlds collide

If you have Wonder Woman as a DPS you'll usually (not always) need just one main Tank since she's decently tanky herself due to her Passive. There are a lot of great tanks in DC Worlds Collide who we'll discuss below. For now note that the best ones are those that have ways to apply massive self damage Reduction but also apply Debuffs or offer your team utility in some form. Below we'll dive into the best tanks in the game.

Best Tanks in DC Worlds Collide

Unit Notes

Lex Luthor
Legendary
S Tier
Tactical Tank
• Incredibly tank that absorbs damage for your entire team via his Shields which get stronger with his skill badge effects
• The best Tank late game due to his ability to protect the entire team
• Also grants your team extra basic attacks

Nightwing
Epic
S Tier
Agile Tank
• Great tanking capabilities due to his innate 30% block chance which stack with bonuses from gear (Late game you end up at 50% to 65% block chance)
• The block chance alone negates massive amounts of damage from enemy specials and basic attacks
• Can also give himself Shelter so he's one of the best Tanks late game

Blue Beetle
Legendary
A Tier
Mighty Tank
• Counters enemy crit chance by buffing your team and focusing enemies that crit a lot
• Excellent at protecting the back row

Superman
Legendary
A Tier
Mighty Tank
• A mix of incredible tankyness with his passive and off-DPS with his Burn
• Can auto-revive with immunity which wastes enemy specials that target him
• Great at debuffing high attack enemies by delaying their turns with his Advanced

Bizarro
Epic
A Tier
Mighty Tank
• Amazing in a specific team comp where you want to protect a single ally with his flower passive to share damage
• Applies Freeze with his ultimate to debuff enemies
• Struggles in the role of traditional tank so play around his flower passive

Gorilla Grodd
Epic
A Tier
Tactical Tank
• Overall a decent tank with natural damage reduction
• Has a great mix of enemy delays and debuffs
• Great with Sinestro and other who apply debuffs because he can increase debuff stacks with his passive

Martian Manhunter
Legendary
B Tier
Agile Tank
• Martian Manhunter is an honorable highlight that's very specific but potentially very powerful
• He sucks as a traditional tank so think of him as a support that stacks damage reduction and heals on your entire team with his Ult
• Can cleanse debuff stacks from your team
• Best combined with Venoms artifacts to self heal and buff your team from the frontline

DC Worlds Collide Support Tier List

best support heroes in dc worlds collide

Supports are a must-have and I'll talk about the best supports in DC Worlds Collide below. Note that while healing is a strong form of support, it's not always the most powerful one in this game since a strong team buff or enemy debuff can go a long way of winning you late-game fights. Let's talk about some highlights below.

Best Supports in DC Worlds Collide

Unit Notes

Zatanna
Epic
S Tier
Tactical Support
• One of the best late-game Supports in the game
• Boosts your entire team with Lifesteal, Frantic, and Turn Meter
• Applies armor break with her Ultimate for even more damage

Ocean Master
Epic
S Tier
Agile Support
• All about Weakening bosses and dealing a lot of counterattack damage
• His Ultimate applies a ton of Bleed if you've stacked up Weaken for some great off-DPS DoT
• One of the best Supports for longer fights

Kid Flash
Epic
S Tier
Agile Support
• The best healer in the game both due to the heal amounts and frequency
• That's it but that one function is extremely powerful for late-game

Raven
Epic
A Tier
Tactical Support
• Her main function in a team is to revive your characters
• Also applies a ton of debuffs so she's great for a debuff team comp with Sinestro

Pandora
Epic
A Tier
Agile Support
• A mix between a support and off-DPS
• Can deal decent damage and then heal low HP allies or give them a shield
• Can ramp up damage, heals, and shields incredibly well in a sustained fight

Two Face
Epic
A Tier
Might Support
• Highly flexible Support that has two modes depending on if you place him in the back row or the front row
• In the Front Row he buffs front allies Bleed stacks and damage reduction by 21% with the fully unlocked badge effects
• In the Back Row he gives back row allies Life Steal and damage amplification with fully unlocked badge effects
• His Ultimate also focuses on damage when he's in the backrow and on stunning when in the front
• Also applies powerful debuffs regardless of position
• Allows you to adapt your strategy mid-fight for more team damage or team damage reduction as needed

That's it for my DC Worlds Collide tier list for all DPS, Tank, and Support characters. Don't forget to check out our DC Worlds Collide codes for free goodies.

How long is Marvel Rivals season 3?

Marvel Rivals season three will last exactly two months, with the first half running from July to August and the second half going from August to September. It's the first season to follow a shorter format with one new hero scheduled to launch in each half. Moving forward, all future seasons are currently planned to follow the same format.

The third season of Marvel Rivals is focused on the arrival of two new heroes, fresh locations, skins, a new battle pass, and much more. Here's a breakdown of all key features included in season three.

  • Phoenix and Blade – Two new Duelist units are joining the roster. Phoenix is soaring onto the battlefield in the first half of the season, while Blade will finally be debuting during the second half.
  • New battle pass – A fresh pass stacked with new skins and other cosmetic items you can earn arrives this season. The theme of this one is a mix between Phoenix Force and Symbiote costumes.
  • New and reworked Team-Ups – A Team-Up between Phoenix and Wolverine, called Primal Flame, and a Team-Up between Human Torch and Spider-Man, called Ever-Burning Bond, are being added. There are a few changes to existing ones, too, like Hela joining Symbiote Shenanigans and Squirrel Girl joining Stark Protocol.
  • New maps – The first half of season three has a new location to explore: Klyntar: Celestial Husk. All new heroes so far have launched with a fresh region, so we'll likely see another map in the second half of the season, too.
  • Hero accessories – A new type of customization will arrive in season three. Hero accessories are small cosmetic items you can attach to your characters, similar to keychains.

There's plenty more arriving in season three beyond these main features, so you may want to check out the patch notes to learn more. You also may want to work on clearing out some unfinished achievements before the next update arrives, like Days of Future Past, Arrako Goes AnalogMutant and Proud!, and Whispers in Pieces.

Dragon Ball Legends promo image.

There are several ways to awaken and improve your characters in Dragon Ball Legends, and finding Zenkai Rush Medals should be a top priority if you want to strengthen your team.

This resource is the main reward from Zenkai Ultra Space-Time Rush events. It's used to obtain Awakening Z Powers for your characters and perform Zenkai Awakening. These rewards are absolutely crucial for characters tagged as Legends Limited. Here are all the available methods of obtaining these medals.

How to obtain Zenkai Rush Medals in Dragon Ball Legends?

The first step is pretty simple: You have to take part in the Zenkai Ultra Space-Time Rush events in Dragon Ball Legends. However, there are some additional ways to increase how many medals you get.

  • Complete all the Rushes available in the event. The Zenkai Ultra Space-Time Rush event is recurring, so you always have a chance to earn the Zenkai Rush medals. Make sure to complete each Rush after the individual stages.
  • Higher Difficulty means better rewards. Clearing the Rush missions on a higher difficulty will allow you to get more medals from every stage. This is a double-edged sword because you'll also require a squad that is strong enough for you to clear the missions at higher difficulties. The best tip is to follow the recommended power level before you begin a stage, and it also depends on how well you can manage your characters.
  • You must take advantage of the event resets. Unlike time-limited events, Zenkai Rush missions keep coming back. Hence, it makes sense to max out a singular iteration of the event to increase your reward potential.

Aside from these tips, there's a key point you need to keep in mind when it comes to team-building. The Zenkai Rush missions require a wide roster. The reason is simple: you can't reuse a character in the same Rush. Once you use a character, it's done for that particular Rush mode. Naturally, you'll need a balanced roster because you won't be able to complete too many missions otherwise. If you're a beginner, it's better to go easy on the mission difficulties, as you'll get better rewards by completing more of them.

pokemon go 9th anniversary= art

It's hard not to get excited about Pokémon Go's anniversary artwork, that usually teases a bunch of upcoming features and incoming Pokémon for the year ahead, but as a person who has been playing the game since day one, I wanted to offer a word of caution to those who believe that Paradox Pokémon, among other things, are now destined to appear soon.

In the artwork, we can see a bunch of teases to already announced upcoming things, like Aegislash, Yamper, and other missing Pokémon in-game like Mega Metagross and what appears to be some form of remote raid tease, but its the appearance of Iron Treads and Great Tusk on the right that has the internet convinced that Paradox Pokémon are coming soon.

But don't let that fool you into thinking the tease is a guarantee; there have been multiple instances of anniversary art teasing an upcoming Pokémon or feature that never came. Even though Paradox Pokémon feel like a given at this point.

https://twitter.com/RobertLee202/status/1942008987131527428

For example, 2021 revealed Mega Mewtwo in its anniversary art, and that Pokémon has still not appeared. Mega Lucario also appeared in the 2020 anniversary art, and it would take several years for it to finally appear in-game. 2023's anniversary art showed off Hisuian Goodra, another Pokémon that is still missing. The list goes on.

So what I'm trying to get at is, the anniversary artwork, while fantastic, is not Scopely teasing at its upcoming plans or future releases. They might have originally planned to release these things at one point, but things happen in game development that force companies to make changes. So while it's fine to be excited, I wanted to preface some calm as I've seen social media explode, saying that Paradox Pokémon are 100% coming soon when they might not appear at all.

So, for now, let's wait to see if they are real or not. As the best time to announce Paradox Pokémon, if they exist, would be July 22 during the big Pokémon Presents stream that is planned to show off new information about all the mainline games.
