Welcome to the Week in Review

Welcome

Sometimes you forget how technology now touches every facet of our lives. TechRadar’s coverage this week included everything from considering the first true (and quite expensive) home humanoid robot to a toilet-based device that tells us about our, um, pee.

In between all that, you might have caught us watching the new trailer for the final Stranger Things season (it looks spooky as heck) or multitasking and perusing the latest Black Friday deals. I know, we’re still weeks away from the official date of the sales extravaganza, but that hasn't stopped retailers from teasing us with some surprisingly good early bargains – and below you'll find some recommendations from our experts for products you should be looking out for deals on.

I love that TechRadar is all over this – we won't let you miss out on incredible savings, no matter when they happen. One deal that I’ve been thinking about is the LG B5 OLED TV. I recently bought a C5 (love it), but should I have waited for a better deal on its slightly less performant sibling? I may never know.

A bit of retail therapy can help to take our minds off less pleasant things, like the prospect of losing our jobs to AI, although that's something Nvidia’s CEO now predicts isn't going to happen – well, at least not in the way we thought.

Have you seen the new Samsung tri-fold phone? It hasn't been officially announced yet but it’s already on display, although we're not able to touch it yet, let alone try folding and unfolding it – and when it does finally get released it looks like those of us in the UK and UK won't be able to buy it, at least not initially. Go figure.

Honestly, though, I’m ready for a little break and some dinosaur action. The latest Jurassic Park movie, Jurassic World Rebirth, is finally coming to Peacock, and I can't wait to watch it.

Happy Halloween, and we’ll see you next week.

Lance Ulanoff, Editor at Large
