PCGamesN Thursday, January 23, 2025 7:19 AM  AMD's David McAfee has responded to complaints surrounding the upcoming Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT release date. The Vice President and General Manager of Radeon and Ryzen added context surrounding the delay after the graphics cards were originally expected to arrive this month. So far, the two AMD RX 9070 graphics cards have had a weird time since they were revealed at CES 2025. Although announced, AMD didn't say much about the cards, their specs, or their release date. Instead, it was down to the company's card-manufacturing partners to showcase the cards on the show floor. They look like being a cost-effective alternative to Nvidia's RTX 5000 offerings but the full picture is still far from clear. The highly popular handheld usually starts at $549 for the OLED and $399 for the LCD models, but the refurbishing program heavily discounts the prices. Right now, you can grab the best handheld gaming PC for $439 for the 512GB OLED model, or $519 for the 1TB version. That's a discount of $110 for the 512GB Steam Deck and $130 for the 1TB version. The LCD models are all out of stock, however, so you'll need to keep your eyes peeled if you're after an even cheaper entry point. PCGamesN Thursday, January 23, 2025 6:05 AM  I have this problem whenever I start a new game on Project Zomboid. I call it the death spiral. I spawn into a house but the loot containers don't have any useful weapons. So, I walk outside to go searching, and inevitably attract the attention of some zombies. This means I can't stop to search other buildings, so I have to keep walking… which attracts more zombies, which means I have even less time to search, and so on. If only there was some way to guarantee the presence of certain objects and resources. We're not quite there yet, but the new Project Zomboid update for unstable build 42 offers some small control over the randomized maps. It's been a while since Obsidian Entertainment's first space venture, but it had much of the same DNA as the Fallout series. This isn't necessarily surprising, given that Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky, the creators of the Fallout series, were the game's directors. Now, we're finally getting the chance to head back to Halcyon in The Outer Worlds 2. The first in Obsidian's space adventure series was an enjoyable RPG game, perhaps hampered by the studio's upcoming Microsoft acquisition. The Outer Worlds 2 was confirmed to be in active development in June 2021, but there has been radio silence ever since. We consider this as a good thing, as a release date window has now dropped, and it's soon. While it feels like early games can be decided by a single death or objective win, as things start to go late we've seen miracle steals and mammoth comebacks galore. At pro level, Atakhan seems to be relatively low priority despite his controversial Guardian Angle-style buff and the XP gains from Bloody Petals. And then there's the Blue Essence drama which, while somewhat ironed out, shook the faith of a lot of players - especially with Hextech Chests and level-up rewards biting the dust coming into 2025. League of Legends patch 25.S1.2 fixes a lot of these issues, but the addition of Arcane's Mel Medarda may just shake things up all over again.
