A new Pokemon Center store will open up in the Hakata Marui, which is in the Fukuoka Prefecture. The new logo for the Pokemon Center Fukuoka branch depicts Pikachu riding on a Latias, while a Latios floats behind them.
Currently, the Pokemon Center in Fukuoka is in the Hakata AMU Plaza Building. However, it will close down on May 12, 2025 to focus on building the new store. When the new store reopens in Hakata Marui, it will have a larger space to accommodate for more customers at a time. The large amount of tourists that Japan sees every year, as well as the worldwide popularity and appeal of Pokemon, likely contribute to the need for more space. The Fukuoka store will re-open up in Summer 2025, with more details to appear later.
Incidentally, when the store re-opens, it will mark the second Pokemon Center in a Marui building. The other one is in Yokohama.
As for why Latios and Latias adorn the new logo, this is likely due to them being legendary Pokemon from the Hoenn region. GameFreak drew inspiration from the Kyushu region when designing Hoenn, and Fukuoka is the largest city in Kyushu. Hoenn's generation mascot legendaries are Kyogre and Groudon, but the Pokemon Center likely chose Latios and Latias instead due to their "cuter" designs.
The Pokemon Center in Fukuoka will temporarily close down on May 12, 2025 and the new store will open in Hakata Marui some time in Summer 2025. The next Pokemon game to come out is Pokemon Legends: Z-A, which will come out in Fall 2025 for the Nintendo Switch.

While testing out some early Switch 2 and upgrade pack games, I had a chance to revisit a stage in Kirby and the Forgotten Land Star-Crossed World expansion. That's the part of the upgrade pack for the original game that adds a whole new story and area. There's quite a bit new there! However, it's incorporated in a way that makes it feel as though it was part of the adventure all along and doesn't seem tacked on. The stage I played felt like it cohesively fit.
The demo session for Kirby and the Forgotten Land Star-Crossed World began with Kirby and Elfilin flying on a Warp Star. A quick blurb mentioned a meteor crashed into the forgotten lands. Kirby lands on a beach, just like at the start of the original game, and heads toward an urban city center. However, this time there are crystal outcroppings as a result of the meteor. Visibly, it's pretty impressive to see the environment on the Switch 2, especially since the areas seem "contaminated" and attacking additional designated clusters causes the effect to spread and grant access to new areas. I did feel like I noticed the 60fps change here and improved visuals.
However, that 60fps alteration seemed even more evident when facing enemies. I went with the Wild Mode, a new harder option that is designed to make things "more challenging." While the standard enemies didn't seem too different, I will say that the ones "tainted" by the meteor did! Immediately heading into the stage, I encountered a Crystal Awoofy. It wasn't too much more challenging an opponent, but it did take more hits to knock it out. Orabiroo were hopping about, and they seemed a bit more focused on me when I was nearby. The Big Kabu I encountered seemed to take more hits to defeat.
The most notable changes were the Crystal Tortorner and Crystal Wild Frosty. It was more than just a new color scheme and design for them. In the case of the former, I needed to use the new Spring Mouth Kirby Mouthful Mode to get past the turtle in Kirby and the Forgotten Land Star-Crossed World on the Switch 2. This ability involved inhaling a spring, then using it to jump higher or ground pound to get past obstacles and scale the vertical buildings in this stage. The jumping ability made it easier to dodge the Crystal Tortorner, while the only way to smash it was to be in Spring Mouth mode and pound down on it.
As for Crystal Wild Frosty, I sort of felt like he was a bit more aggressive and took a few more hits to beat in Wild Mode. He would do his AOE attack, which involved leaping in the air and slamming down! He'd send off snowballs to attack. There was even a homing attack of sorts sending off ice. I'd picked up a Hammer power-up early on, which helped with really slamming down on him. The increased framerate also seemed to really help here, to further accentuate the attacks.
As in the base game, it also featured extra stage challenges. In this case, that meant getting items from atop crystal formations to complete one objective. Another ended up being tied to finding Wild Starries, new creatures that appeared alongside the meteor. When in Spring Mouth mode, it turned out going out of my way to practice those big jumps by scaling the side of a building and jumping over a billboard on top of it completed one of those optional tasks. It still encouraged exploration.
From what I saw, it seemed like the Kirby and the Forgotten Land + Star-Crossed World expansion could be a way to refresh the original game. What's there seemed to build on the base game and offer a new approach to locations and enemies we've seen. The Spring Mouth ability seemed handy, especially for the new situations in that level. I also thought it looked pretty good on the Switch 2 with the upgrade pack's additions. I'd like to see what else that story and additional adventure might offer.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land + Star-Crossed World expansion upgrade pack will be available for the Nintendo Switch 2 on August 28, 2025, and the base game is available now on the Switch.

During the Nintendo Treehouse: Live Switch 2 Day 2 showcase, Street Fighter 6 came up, and that also offered an opportunity to see the three new amiibo and multiple amiibo cards tied to it. Jamie, Kimberly, and Luke all showed up and were shown alongside the Super Smash Bros Ultimate Ryu and Ken ones to provide a sense of scale and context.
Compared to Ken and Ryu, the Jamie, Kimberly, and Luke Street Fighter 6 amiibo for the Switch 2 game are all larger. It appears that they are at least an inch taller each, if not larger. The poses are also more dynamic. All three characters are performing some of their attacks. For example, it almost seems like Luke is performing Flash Knuckle in his, while Jamie seems to be in the midst of Full Moon Kick. It definitely looks like the Kimberly amiibo shows her Hisen Kick. There are also transparent effects on each figure, which highlight movement and seem to serve to help stabilize them on the bases.
The segment during the Nintendo Treehouse: Live also confirmed these will act like past amiibo. You can save data and settings to them, then take them to a friend's system and game to use your defaults when you fight. They also each unlock things like device wallpapers and music in the game, with each featuring unique ones. You can send friend requests with them.
As for the Street Fighter 6 amiibo cards for the Switch 2, the starter set appeared. Cards 2 through 22 could be seen somewhat on-stream. However, due to the way in which they were laid out, we could only get a clear look at the Luke one, which is number 2. These will also unlock cosmetic and customization items in game.
You can see the amiibo and the cards in the brief clip shared on social media.
In case you missed it, you can watch the full Nintendo Treehouse: Live Switch 2 Day 2 presentation below.
Street Fighter 6 will launch on the Switch 2 on June 5, 2025, and amiibo and amiibo cards based on characters are on the way as well. The game is already on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X and PC, as well as in arcades, worldwide now.

Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack GameCube games are arriving on June 5, 2025, the same day the Switch 2 debuts. However, at the start the selection is going to be a bit small. F-Zero GX, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and SoulCalibur 2 are the three appearing alongside the launch with Super Mario Strikers confirmed as showing up shortly after. I got to see how two of those four looked at a recent preview event, and they seemed as enjoyable as I remembered.
First, before even getting into experiences, the Nintendo Switch Online GameCube games playable on Switch 2 will feature some additional features. You can switch between the original ratio and a fullscreen possibility in the options once you load up the game. If you're playing locally and not online, split screen multiplayer will show up for some titles. (Not SoulCalibur 2, obviously.) GameChat works with it, though I didn't get to sample that during my preview session. Customizable controls will be possible, though, and there will be a CRT filter you can apply.
I started with SoulCalibur 2. The attendant at the station noted that it already offered full screen support in a past incarnation, so it wasn't so much of an issue with the presentation here. However, this opportunity did mean that I not only got to see Link and Ivy fight again. It also meant trying the game with a GameCube controller. The first time I played this entry was on that system at a friend's, so it was so easy for muscle memory to take over as I stepped up to fight again. The controller felt as comfortable as usual, and it looked fine on the Switch 2. Which is only to be expected, given the age of the game and the fact we've seen Bandai Namco bring back an HD Online version on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
It was F-Zero GX that felt more different when I got to test it out. The attendant noted there are some visual upgrades, so it still looked sharp. But again, this was always an eye-catching and vibrant GameCube game, so of course F-Zero GX would look good on a Switch 2 with Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack. I will note that I honestly didn't like the full-screen support for it. While that was fine for SoulCalibur 2, here I felt like it just artificially stretched what was already there. It was sort of like the effect for Game Boy games on the GBA to fill the screen. It actually threw me off a bit in my first race, and I felt like I did better during the second after turning it off. Perhaps it was due to nostalgia and being more accustomed to one appearance! Maybe it's totally fine and involves a little getting used to. I'm curious to see how it looks in other games to make a more informed decision.
I'm optimistic about Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack GameCube games on the Switch 2! I'd like to play Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance on the go or see enough people show interest in Chibi Robo to convince Nintendo to make a more traditional, new entry in that series. The two launch games F-Zero GX and SoulCalibur 2 worked fine when I tested them out. The GameCube controller felt great and comfortable with them both as well. I think it could be quite a boon to that tier of the subscription service, even if some of the new additions like the other aspect ratio option might not seem like it'd suit every game.
Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack support for GameCube games will be present on the Switch 2 when the system launches on June 5, 2025.

Hori will release a special camera for the Nintendo Switch 2 based on the Piranha Plant enemies that appear in the Super Mario Bros series. The product page for the camera has been spotted and available to pre-order on the German electronics store MediaMarkt, where it costs €39,99 (or approximately $43.89). No pre-order pages are live on stores in other regions as of time of writing. [Thanks, Game Watch!]
The camera will be available on the same day as the new Nintendo console releases, which is June 5, 2025. The new Piranha Plant camera will support USB-C connection with the Nintendo Switch 2 system, and it comes with a potted plant style base stand to easily place. The mouth also offers a privacy mode by closing its mouth so it cannot broadcast an image.
As with many other goods released by Hori in the past, the new camera is an officially licensed item. At the time of writing, there is no information on the camera releasing outside of Germany. However, since Hori is a Japanese company, we can certainly expect the camera to appear in its home country at some point. There is a possibility we might also see it appear in other European countries.
Check out the Piranha Plant Hori camera here:

As shown in the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct revealing more details and games for the new console system, the Switch 2 will include a C button that opens Game Chat. This function allows for voice and video calls with other friends that own and are playing the console, and even screen sharing games. A default official camera has already been announced as well as the new Piranha Plant one.
The Hori Piranha Plant Camera for the Nintendo Switch 2 will release in Germany on June 5, 2025. No release date for North America, Japan, or other parts of Europe have been confirmed yet.

Kadokawa announced that it will close down the mobile game Re:Zero Witch's Re:surrection on May 30, 2025, at 2pm JST. This sudden end-of-service announcement also means that the free-to-play RPG based on the light novel and anime franchise did not last for even a whole year.
The company initially set Summer 2024 as the launch window for the Re:Zero mobile game. It eventually released the title within the window on August 26, 2024. That means the game is still barely seven months old when Kadokawa decided to pull the plug. After the shutdown in late May 2025, it will have a total lifespan of around just nine months.
Kadokawa has also immediately ceased sales for the premium in-game gem currency. While existing players can still use the gems, those who have a valid Japanese bank account and residence address will be able to apply for refunds of unused paid gems from the end-of-service date of May 30, 2025, until August 31, 2025.
In addition, Kadokawa published a new roadmap detailing the game's events until the shutdown day. It will still hold time-limited events and gacha banners at regular intervals. However, all of the remaining events will be reruns. The company will also provide ten gacha tickets to players who still access the game daily despite the end-of-service announcement.

Re:Zero Witch's Re:surrection is available on Android and iOS mobile devices until May 30, 2025. Kadokawa will then close refund applications while taking down the Re:Zero mobile game for good on August 31, 2025. The anime is streaming on Crunchyroll, and Yen Press handles the light novel.

When Bleach Rebirth of Souls launched, it featured a number of issues like PC crashes, and the latest patch fixes an infinite extended combos issue that can arise. 1.04 keeps those from kicking in and happening due to a bug. There are also fixes for 19 character issues and the Battle and Free Match modes.
The Bleach Rebirth of Souls infinite extended combos issue ended up being the biggest problem. This is because it wasn't just some offline issue that could help people beat friends or get through the story a little easier. This problem specifically came up during online fights. How it worked is during wake-up, there would be unblockable frames. So the person who started a combo would get to keep up an onslaught and there'd be no way to halt it. That's gone now.
Some of the other additions involve the general fights. If you're in a Battle, you can tweak how the fights look. If you're not in a story mode fight, you can change it so Spiritual Pressure names won't show up. You can also make the Reverse Action animations not take away from a match time limit. In Free Match, a fight now lasts 300 seconds (five minutes). There are also new defaults. The region and connection speed options are unlimited when you first get in. You also won't get Soul Crystals and Spirit Talismans unless you enable them.
Here are the full 1.04 Bleach Rebirth of Souls patch notes that end the infinite extended combos, adjust Free Match and Battle, and change or fix issues with 19 characters.

Bandai has revealed a new Original Tamagotchi decorated after the World Expo 2025 mascot Myaku-Myaku. The company will start selling the Tamagotchi, along with more related merchandise, exclusively at the Expo's venue in Osaka starting on April 13, 2025.
Even though the Tamagotchi's exterior is being decorated with Myaku-Myaku and other Expo elements, it is yet to be known whether the mascot itself will also appear in the device or not. Images published for the product so far only show existing series characters like Mametchi and Kuchipatchi, just like the other Original Tamagotchis that appeared exclusively via Lawson outlets and Chogokin Robo figures.
The Original Tamagotchi will not be the only item Bandai sells at the Expo. The company will also sell other merchandise adorned with the collaboration theme, which ranges from keychains to T-shirts.
Here is the complete list of Tamagotchi-themed items that will be available for purchase at Expo 2025, with prices listed in Japanese yen:

During the Nintendo Switch 2 Day 2 Nintendo Treehouse: Live presentation, new details about Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster came up regarding cutscenes, specifically the voice acting we'll here and if we can skip them. All the original voice actors' lines from the 3DS release will be used. We'll also be able to skip these story segments if we'd like.
This came up early in the gameplay showcase as footage of the Temple of Wind segment appears. We got to hear Tiz start to speak. That's when it was confirmed the original voice acting from the 3DS version of Bravely Default will be present in the HD Remaster on the Switch.
It's also at that point that the Bravely Default HD Remaster Switch 2 cutscene autoplay and skip functionality came up. When the scene started, autoplay was in effect. This can be stopped, or the skip effect can start. During this presentation, the 2x skip option was shown. The Treehouse members mentioned that this can allow someone to see a quick summary of what happened and avoid the actual longer story scenes. Also, while skip is in effect, you won't hear any of the voice acting.
Here's the full Nintendo Treehouse: Live Switch 2 Day 2 showcase:
In case you missed it, here's a full trailer from Square Enix for the game:
The Bravely series General Producer Tomoya Asano also released a statement about the game after its reveal on social media:
Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster will come to the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, 2025. It also appeared on the Nintendo 3DS.

The Thermite is a lethal equipment in Call of Duty Warzone that starts off as locked for players, but you can unlock it after a few days through the Tribute event in mid April. Here's everything you need to know about the item and how to get it.
How to unlock the Thermite lethal in Warzone and Black Ops 6 Season 3
You can unlock the Thermite lethal equipment once the Tribute event goes live in Warzone and Black Ops 6 season 3 on April 17. Similar to the previous in-game events, you'll need to earn XP, and the rewards will be unlocked sequentially.
The event was leaked on an X post revealing all the rewards from the entire Tribute event. According to the video from the leak, you'll need to earn 180,000 XP to unlock the Thermite lethal equipment, and it's the fifth reward from the event reward track.
The Thermite Lethal is one of the most interesting pieces of equipment because, like a Semtex, it sticks to a surface and provides a burning effect for a brief period.
You can play any mode to earn XP, and BO6 owners will have an advantage as they can earn additional rewards. The Tribute Event will run from April 17 to May 1, which means you'll have a total of 14 days to play and unlock every single reward from it and ultimately get the Nail Gun as the mastery reward from this event.
Apart from the Nail Gun, you can also earn the Death Machine Scorestreak, Close Shave Perk, John Black Ops Operator Skin, double XP tokens, Calling cards, Melee blueprints, C9 10mm Auto 30-Round Mags, one emote, GobbleGums for Black Ops 6 Zombies, and a lot more. There will be a total of 17 rewards to earn from this event.
According to Activision, the upcoming event in Black Ops 6 is going to be a "legendary tribute" to the series, and the rewards "honor" the history of Black Ops.
While we wait for the event to kick off, be sure to check the best Kilo 141 loadout for Warzone and Black Ops 6 season three.

When you initially think of Call of Duty, fighting a nonstop horde of the undead probably isn't the first thing you think of. Well, at least until the Zombies mode became a staple of the Call of Duty series, becoming as much a part of the franchise as its multiplayer and campaign modes.
Since its original inception in Call of Duty: World at War, many players have grown attached to Zombies, as it provides a fun co-op excursion from the series' standard modes. However, with so many titles now including the mode, the number of available maps has skyrocketed. Here are the 18 best Zombies maps across all Call of Duty games.
18. Nacht Der Untoten - World at War
![]()
If you were someone who had just completed the campaign for Call of Duty: World at War, you may have been greeted by this map right as the credits ended. Initially, "Nazi Zombies" was hidden away from players until they completed the main storyline. Once the credits ended, players would be immediately thrust into the first Zombies map, Nacht Der Untoten. Translating to "Night of the Undead," this small locale was an edited version of a building from the campaign mission "Hard Landing."
Players are trapped inside the building with no means of escape as the undead march to the many windows. You would then have to fend off the zombies for as long as possible. Nacht is a simple map focusing on the main gameplay loop of round-based survival. Players gain points from shooting zombies and can upgrade their arsenal by purchasing weapons with the points. Whether that's by purchasing them from the chalk drawings on the walls, grabbing the sniper from the upstairs cabinet, or taking their chances by opening the "Mystery Box" in the room on the ground floor.
Players only had their skills to rely on, as the onslaught of zombies was relentless, and help wasn't coming anytime soon.
17. The Tomb - Black Ops 6
![]()
I really wanted to place The Tomb higher on this Call of Duty: Zombies map ranking, especially since it's one of the latest releases. But, unfortunately, it just didn't manage to leave a lasting impression like the others. There aren't many exciting points of interest to explore; it's mostly set in a sparse, lifeless dig site and tomb. The story was pretty underwhelming, and without many cutscenes to enrich the narrative, it struggled to hold my attention. The Dark Aether Nexus does stand out, though—it's a visually stunning new take on the Crazy Place, with vibrant colors and an otherworldly vibe that feels like it came straight from the depths of space.
Another highlight was the return of the Ice Staff, one of my all-time favorite Wonder Weapons in Zombies. However, the only downside was that the other staffs didn't make the cut, which only made me long for them even more. I get that it might have been a challenge to bring all four into the modern era of CoD, but it still felt strange to single out the Ice Staff while leaving the others behind.
As for the boss fight, it was a bit of a letdown. You're stuck battling an enemy that barely moves, relying on zombies to do the heavy lifting for it. To make matters worse, certain weapons, like the Mustang and Sally, couldn't even be used once its protective barrier was down. It would've been nice to know beforehand that only a few guns could be used here.
16. TranZit - Black Ops II
![]()
Black Ops II was one of the first games to introduce me to Zombies mode, showcasing its now classic round-based matches. In its heyday, TranZit was probably the most talked about map, where players take a deadly scenic route in a one to four-player co-op ride. You'll jump on and off a bus, with the driver T.E.D.D. commanding its loading and drop-off times.
As much as I want this to be a nostalgic gem, it sadly doesn't compare to Zombies mode now. Given the small size of the bus and numerous zombie hordes, it can be way too overwhelming to handle. And it's not the good kind of overwhelming that I've gotten used to, since it feels like there is no chance of survival. Not only does the lava on the ground burn you alive, but the fog makes it almost impossible to see.
Don't even get me started on the Wonder Weapon, the Thrustodyne Aeronautics Model 23 (Jet Gun). Players will go through all that trouble of building this tool, only for it to barely kill any zombies. It also makes you move slower than usual, which doesn't really make sense for Zombies mode's fast-paced environment. Rewards like this just aren't satisfying enough to make it worthwhile (But don't worry it gets a buff in the later iterations).
TranZit, despite its flaws, was a game-changer for the Call of Duty series. It was the first Zombies mode to introduce buildables, a feature that has since become a staple in the series. TranZit's innovative gameplay and features paved the way for the evolution of the series, and we owe it a debt of gratitude for that.
15. Der Reise - World at War
![]()
Der Reise, or "The Giant," was the final map to be given to players in World at War's life cycle, joining DLC as an addition to standard multiplayer maps. Since the zombies first appeared in Nacht Der Untoten, the mode had undergone some changes, transitioning from defending a single location to a more expansive map where letting in the undead didn't spell the end of your crew.
The map puts players at ground zero of the zombie outbreak, a facility run by the elusive "Group 935." While the lore wasn't at the forefront of the gameplay, dedicated players could tune into the many radios around the map to uncover the story of Dr. Edward Richtofen. You'll learn about the betrayal of his partner, Ludvig Maxis, and the horrific creation of the undead army, including the hellhounds that attack the player every five rounds.
Der Reise also solidified the "Perk-a-Cola" system into the game. Brand new to Der Reise was the Pack-a-Punch machine. You could now invest in your favorite weapons by upgrading them to become more powerful variants. Players who were clever enough to stick with weak weapons like the Colt M1911 would be rewarded with a pistol that shot explosive rounds, telling players that all guns are worth at least upgrading once.
Der Reise's high replayability and the formal introduction of the series' lore gave players something to think about as they waited for the next Treyarch game to release, hoping that the questions they were left with would finally be answered.
14. Liberty Falls - Black Ops 6
![]()
Despite the initial skepticism from the CoD community about Liberty Falls' brighter setting, this map has proven to be a hidden gem. I know how stressful Zombies mode can get, but this location made jumping into Black Op 6's much more inviting. However, now that I've played the other BO6 Zombies maps, I'm less interested in playing this one, considering how much more the others have to offer. Regardless, it's still an excellent starting point for beginners, with its manageable size and readily available tools, all set in the heart of a West Virginian town. The map even allows for the acquisition of a Ray Gun in the first round through a simple Easter Egg trick at a vending machine.
Don't be fooled by Liberty Falls' compact size—it's packed with a wealth of content. Every corner of this map holds an Easter Egg, from constructing a free Jet Gun to engaging in disco zombie bowling. The map's many points of interest, including the Church, Olly's Comics, and the Liberty Falls bank, are ripe for exploration and discovery.
The Side Quests, in particular, lead you to the most intriguing journeys, often tying into a complex series of steps. Take, for example, the Aetherella Easter Egg, which requires you to find various figurines to unlock the power of heat vision. I never thought a Zombies mode could include superhuman powers such as this, but I suppose it isn't too out of left field with the mystical abilities of Origins.
Those who assemble the Jet Gun dive further into Liberty Fall's lore, untangling the webs of the Dark Aether outbreak mystery. The fan-favorite Richtofen also makes his mark here, where we see him wielding the powerful Wunderwaffe in the LF cinematic.
13. Buried - Black Ops II
![]()
Call of Duty Black Ops II's Buried map incorporates a Wild West scene into Zombies mode. The area is wholly buried underneath rubble, hence the name, with no means of escape in sight. As the new sheriff in town, there are plenty of resources to take advantage of, from chalk-drawing weapons to various Perk Colas.
Buried is one of the few maps that offer an NPC helper with the formidable Arthur. Give him some Candy or Booze to get him on your side, and he'll eliminate zombies in no time. It's also excellent for solo players who need a teammate to watch their back. In addition to Arthur, my personal favorite from this map is the Ray Gun Mark II. It amplifies everything from its original design, making it an even more devastating weapon.
You can use it to take on the unique challenge at the haunted mansion. Here, players will stand against a ghostly woman who tends to steal money out of your pockets. Given that cash is a big part of Zombies mode (giving you new weapons and upgrades), it's a thrilling challenge that will test your movements and skills.
The Wonder Weapons, including the Paralyzer and Time Bomb, are also fun to wield. While the Paralyzer helps slow down zombies, the Time Bomb sends you back in time to collect previous gear. Buried's many helpful features make it stand out amongst the maps, and it's plain fun to explore around its old western-themed environment.
12. Ascension - Black Ops
![]()
Ascension refines what's already been learned in previous maps but keeps it fresh by adding to the mechanics in fun and intuitive ways. The map starts out with the player entering it through a lunar lander. The color fades to monochrome, and the only way to turn the color back on is by activating the power station.
Pack-a-Punch is opened by riding lunar landers between the three main locations on the map, allowing players to launch a rocket stationed in the background, opening the room housing the Pack-a-Punch.
The map functions similarly to Der Reise, though the lunar lander has to be called to each location before riding it. This waiting period and the short ride back to the start provide small breaks for the player to reload and recoup before continuing the fight. Special rounds return, though the hellhounds are nowhere to be seen, replaced by terrifying space monkeys, who attack the Perk Machines players have used. If they're stopped before dealing any damage to the perks, players can net themselves a free perk, bypassing the four-perk limit set by all maps.
Ascension also introduced players to "Easter Eggs," a story quest that can be completed throughout a session to gain rewards and directly impact the series' plotline. It's not front and center, and compared to other maps, Ascension's is quite simple, but access to a 90-second Death Machine (a devastating piece of weaponry) is a fine reward for the most skilled zombie slayers. This location is a perfect map for all player types. It keeps them on their toes with special rounds but is close in complexity to World at War's maps.
11. Terminus - Black Ops 6
![]()
Terminus is one of the biggest Zombies maps, filled with a ton of Easter Eggs. You'll begin your adventures in a zombie-filled prison on a remote island in the Philippine Sea. Players will assume the roles of the elite Terminus team, an ensemble comprising new and old faces. Easily recognizable Black Ops figures like Dr. William Peck and Grigori Weaver have returned, along with the latest recruit, Maya Aguinaldo. They'll need to do whatever it takes to escape the prison, all to plot their revenge on Richtofen.
Compared to Liberty Falls, Terminus' storyline definitely has the upper hand here. It's a lot more fleshed out and entertaining, especially when you're on the expedition for the Main Quest. This time, instead of the Jet Gun, you'll need to find the parts for the new Beamsmasher, a new Wonder Weapon introduced in BO6. The weapon proves essential for several Terminus Easter Eggs, ending with the final boss through the Hacking Device.
Even though I've spent weeks on Terminus, it still feels like I've only scratched the surface. There are so many adventures it has to offer, including one of my favorites, the Cursed Talisman, which almost feels like an undead treasure hunt journey. Besides the main island, many plots of land are scattered around the map to up the ante of exploration. And if you look closely enough, you may find an Easter Egg on all of them, either tying into the Main or Side Quests.
Terminus is just a classic Zombies map that's inspired by many of its predecessors. It has that same ominous look of TranZit and an abundance of Easter Eggs like Shadows of Evil. Yet, it also brings something new to the table with its modernized spin on graphics and map size.
10. Kino Der Toten - Black Ops
![]()
Kino is the first map players got to play in Call of Duty: Black Ops. Originally meant to be an extra map in World at War, it instead became an "on-disc" location for Treyarch's next title. This worked to its benefit, as the new engine and similar design to previous maps in the Zombies mode made it into the iconic map it is today.
Kino Der Toten (Theater of the Dead) is excellent for new Black Ops players. Its simple design guides you around either side of the theater through the backstage or onto the stage from the alleyway. Once the power is turned on, the open area on the stage provides plenty of room for players to eliminate zombies. Pack-a-Punch is as simple as linking one teleporter to the pad the players started the game on as well. It provides a safe spot to upgrade your weapons and a short break from the horde of zombies.
With both paths being linked to one another, multiple strategies can be executed by neglecting to open doors on either side of the map, allowing for solid camping strategies utilizing the traps found around the map.
While it's not the most complex map, Kino Der Toten lives in the hearts of many players, as it's a map even the most hardcore Zombies fans will come back to.
9. Shadows of Evil - Black Ops III
![]()
Completely contrasting Kino Der Toten is Black Ops III's own on-disc map, Shadows of Evil. With the gameplay shift to more complex maps that started in Origins and Mob of the Dead, Shadows of Evil's H.P. Lovecraft-inspired aesthetic recontextualizes the many mechanics players loved about the Black Ops II maps.
The map consists of a lengthy "set-up phase" in which players must complete four rituals around the map to open the Pack-a-Punch Machine. Players must use Beast Mode to open rooms and activate perk machines, similar to how afterlife mode worked in Mob of the Dead. This is also how players will open the central hub underground, the main junction between all four locations on the map.
Shadows of Evil includes a plethora of extra content to do once the setup is complete. You can find symbols hidden in the decor while riding the train, which they can use to unlock a hidden wall underground to begin the quest to gain the Apothicon Sword, adding another weapon to their arsenal without taking up a weapon slot. Finding three fuses around the map will also net you the Civil Protector, a mechanical automaton that will help you fight the undead for a short amount of time.
While Shadows of Evil isn't a good map to introduce players to the Zombies mode, it is a perfect map for fans who want not only a challenge but a location with something to do around every corner.
8. Zombies in Spaceland - Infinite Warfare
![]()
One of the only maps on this list that was not designed by Treyarch, Infinity Ward decided to do their own take on Zombies for Infinite Warfare. Being completely separated in lore, this iteration was a more comical take on the game mode, introducing a new story, characters, and maps inspired by movie genres of the past.
Their debut map, Zombies in Spaceland, sent players to an '80s theme park filled with out-of-this-world attractions and the undead. The gameplay loop was extremely similar to Treyarch's previous entries, with players first unlocking the upgrade machine by using three teleporters around the park.
However, survival wasn't the only thing players could do in Spaceland. The theme park's multiple attractions could be used to help destroy the undead, such as the spinning Escape Velocity or out-of-control bumper cars. The map is filled to the brim with actual interactives as well; playing one of the many arcade games in the Astrocade or riding the rollercoaster will net you tickets, which you can then spend on a myriad of helpful gear.
Perks were also included in this new rendition, taking the form of "Perk Candies" but retaining the same effects as in the Treyarch maps. Previously removed perks, such as the PhD Flopper, returned in Infinite Warfare. Some perks were even based on fan suggestions, like Trailblazers, which left a fire trail as a character slid along the ground. Dying in Spaceland doesn't set players too far back, either. Bleeding out would send you to the Afterlife Arcade, which allows players to complete fun arcade games to jump back into the match without having to wait until the round is over.
Infinity Ward managed to make Treyarch's mode their own and, in turn, delivered one of the freshest takes on the mode—all without straying away from the original formula.
7. Der Eisendrache - Black Ops III
![]()
The first DLC map for Black Ops III brings back the Primis crew, the alternate universe versions of Richtofen, Dempsey, Nikolai, and Takeo that players met in Origins. Der Eisendrache, or "The Iron Dragon," takes players to a medieval castle run by the elusive Group 935, where they must fight against the onslaught of the undead, including special enemies like the Hellhounds and Panzer Soldats.
Returning from Origins is a Wonder Weapon with four variants, one for each player. After feeding the dragons throughout the map, players can pick up the Wrath of the Ancients. This bow can be upgraded into one of four variants, each with its own devastating effects. The map also introduces low gravity and wall running, which is part of BO3's advanced movement system.
Der Eisendrache also begins BO3's main storyline. After completing the Shadows of Evil main quest, Richtofen will steal away the Summoning Key, a device used to harvest souls, in an attempt to "Secure a Better Tomorrow"
If players choose to, they can work through the main quest to gain access to Ultimis Dempsey's body and save his soul in the summoning key. This culminates in the first official boss fight in Zombies history. The map's replayability, buildable nature, and Wonder Weapons perfectly balance complexity and accessibility, sitting it comfortably on this Call of Duty list.
6. Urzikstan - Modern Warfare III
![]()
Even though MW3 Zombies removes the iconic round-based modes, I genuinely believe it is a step in the right direction for the series. Instead of the traditional four-player count, 24 Operators can work together across the infected Urzikstan, giving a new meaning to team camaraderie. You would think that having this many players on deck would make it easier, but it somehow still gets more challenging at every turn.
The map comprises three Threat Level Zones: Low, Medium, and High. Players will initially start off in the Low tier until they are eventually ready to take on the High Threat Zone. You can basically think of it as Round 40 in a standard Zombies run, but with even more challenges than you can imagine. The elite zombies, from the life-sucking Disciples to the colossal Mega Abomination, will undoubtedly keep your heart racing.
The Urzikstan map harnesses various Contracts to complete and provides players with Essence, MW3 Zombies currency. Most tasks, such as escort quests, guarding specific areas, and bounty takedowns, can be quickly completed. Then, you can take all your hard-earned cash over to the Buy Station, Pack-a-Punch, or Perk Cola machines to get some extra buffs.
If you love Zombies lore, the Urikstan map uncovers many secrets tied to past entries in the franchise. These Story Missions are narrative-driven quests that offer objectives to complete to earn valuable rewards. The missions are designed to immerse players in the game's lore and provide a deeper understanding of the Zombies universe. One thing I love about the Story Missions gifts is the Schematics you gain from them. Although they come with cooldowns, Operators can build items before entering the map, which, in return, saves a lot of time.
My only issue is the one-hour time limit, which tends to go by in a flash. The previous round-based mechanics allowed players to experience it for countless hours, making MW3 Zombies more restrictive than any other mode. Still, it's one of the most fun I've had in Zombies, and Urzikstan has only gotten better with its many updates.
5. Moon - Black Ops
![]()
With the release of the Zombies-only "Rezurrection Pack" DLC, Moon marks the end of Black Ops' story. The DLC included all of the World at War maps, as well as the new map, Moon. Starting the map doesn't begin on round one; instead, it begins on a timer in Groom Lake. While players start right next to the Pack-a-Punch machine, an infinite onslaught of zombies will continue to spawn. After a few seconds, they'll pick up speed, making it more dangerous to stick around with just a pistol. Once you step onto the teleporter, you'll be transported to the map proper, where you can get a significant head start if you're skilled enough to survive in Groom Lake.
From here, you'll need to put on the PES Suit, as there's no oxygen. Once you turn on the power and activate the life support systems, you can explore the labs without the PES. If you happen to find the Hacker in the labs, you can switch out the PES for one of the most powerful items in all of Zombies.
The hacker can do many things, such as opening any door for 200 points, gifting any player 500 points out of your own pocket, changing any powerup into max ammo, and even refunding perks you don't need anymore. If you're playing Moon, you may also notice a zombie in an astronaut suit sporting the name of one of your friends. If caught in the astronaut's grasp, he'll teleport you to a random part of the map and remove one of the perks from your loadout.
Players can teleport back to Groom Lake, as it's the only way to access Juggernog, Speed-Cola, and the Pack-a-Punch Machine. However, every player in the match needs to be on the teleporter pad to make their way back. This adds a co-op element but makes it difficult to head back if someone in the squad isn't playing along. With the right crew, planning trips to Groom Lake can net you and your pals more than enough points to upgrade.
The Hacker also allows players to shield themselves from the horde while Pack-a-Punching. This gives everyone a small reprieve, though they'll need to be prepared once the doors open. With Moon being the finale, players see the culmination of all the maps quests, using items they acquired in previous maps, players can conclude the storyline in Moon.
During the Main quest, players will come face to face with Samantha Maxis, the mastermind behind the zombies. Richtofen, in his grand scheme, will control the zombies by switching minds with Samantha, changing the voice lines for the player who's controlling Richtofen. This all culminates in the group firing rockets at the earth, destroying the planet, and setting in motion the events of Black Ops II.
Moon serves as an exciting culmination of Black Ops' Zombies mode, and its inclusion in the Rezurrection DLC proves that Treyarch was taking notice of Zombies' overall popularity.
4. Shattered Veil - Black Ops 6
![]()
The latest map, Shattered Veil, instantly took me back to the glory days of classic Zombies, where the map is overflowing with Easter Eggs. When I first dropped in, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, and even after a few hours, I was still in the dark. But honestly, that was part of the charm—it was a perfect throwback to those early days when the thrill came from being completely lost and figuring things out the hard way. Once I finally got a grip on things, I was blown away by just how much was packed into this map, with layers upon layers of surprises, all waiting to be discovered.
Unlike its predecessor, The Tomb, Shattered Veil showcases a refreshing sense of freedom with much more open space to explore. However, that sense of freedom quickly fades once you step inside the sprawling mansion, where you can find yourself trapped in tight corners. Sure, it's a real challenge to hold your ground against zombie hordes in cramped spaces, but it's not all doom and gloom. The elevator offers a quick getaway, giving you a much-needed escape route when the pressure's on.
While tight, enclosed spaces may not be the best for survival, I can't help but enjoy exploring the mansion's nooks and crannies for hidden secrets. And believe me, there are plenty. The main quest dives deeper into the rich lore of Zombies mode as the crew attempts to save Agent Maxis. It even brings back a fan-favorite character that fans have been dying to see. Overall, the story this time around has so much more heart and soul, something that was sorely missing from The Tomb.
On top of the compelling story, the two Wonder Weapons, Ray Gun Mark 2 and the Wunderwaffe DG-2, finally returned for Black Ops 6. You can also switch up the playstyle of the Ray Gun Mark 2, featuring three variants that can take on the form of a Marksman rifle, shotgun, or SMG. In return, it feels like we have five unique weapons from just one map.
The best thing about the Shattered Veil is that there are fewer Special and Elite Zombies. Previous BO6 Zombies maps felt too overbearing with these types, with frequent spawns of Doppelghasts and Manglers. You still have to worry about the latest Toxic Zombies and Elder Disciples, but they don't seem to spawn all that often.
3. Citadelle des Morts - Black Ops 6
![]()
Citadelle des Morts was a stunning surprise that might just have put Call of Duty Zombies back on the map. The setting felt downright epic, with a massive castle straight out of medieval legend at the center. Plus, there's so much more to it, from the vast open courtyard, guarded by a towering Guardian statue, to hidden passageways that can only be accessed through the main quest.
The Elemental Swords were easily one of the best features that made Citadelle des Morts such a hit. Much like the iconic Origins Elemental Staffs, you'll need to embark on four epic sub-quests to forge the Raven, Dragon, Lion, and Stag swords. Each sword is tied to its own unique element, and you can take its power to new heights by completing additional objectives for powerful upgrades. I've always loved having a variety of options with Wonder Weapons, and Citadelle des Morts nails it with this feature. What's more, there's something undeniably satisfying about wielding a sword that feels like it was forged for a true medieval knight, perfect for the map's overall theme.
Unlike most of the other BO6 Zombies maps, Citadelle des Morts is loaded with story content that really sets it apart. Picking up right where Terminus left off, the Zombies squad must track down Gabriel Krafft and learn about the mysterious Sentinel Artifact. What makes this map even more intriguing is the exclusive Maya Easter Egg cutscene that's easy to miss. It's cool to see something like this that's separate from the main quest, and it's that extra attention to detail that really makes Citadelle des Morts truly exceptional.
2. Mob of the Dead - Black Ops II
![]()
Black Ops II's story picked up where Black Ops' left off, giving us a new plotline following a new crew of characters named Victus. However, Mob of the Dead is not a map in their story.
Mob of the Dead instead follows the story of four mobsters trapped in purgatory on Alcatraz Island. Sal Deluca, Finn O'Leary, Billy Handsome, and Al "The Weasel" Arlington find themselves in a twisted version of their prison where the undead run rampant, and the warden aims to lock up their souls forever.
This is the first taste of more complex maps that would become the norm in the second half of Black Ops II's life cycle and into Black Ops III. Players would spawn as souls in the new Afterlife mode, and a mechanic where going DBNO turns you into a ghost. Aside from being able to revive yourself, Afterlife allows players to see passageways and secrets only visible through their ethereal form, introducing specific ways to open up the prison's many secret rooms. There's not a single power switch that powers on everything; rather, electrical boxes players need to shock are spread around the map, and Afterlife's electric blast is the only way to power them on.
Around the map are also three hellhound heads. Feeding each head a group of zombies gives them the Hell's Retriever, a tomahawk that can be thrown like a boomerang to pick up power-ups or kill groups of zombies. Mob's Wonder Weapon, the Blundergat, is a four-barreled shotgun that shoots one blast at a time, a powerful weapon on its own, and when upgraded into the Acid-Gat, it can easily dispatch hordes. Pack-a-Punching the Acid Gat causes its bolts to attract zombies, turning a powerful weapon into an even more robust tool.
Every so often, "The Warden" will appear, a powerful special zombie with unique abilities. For one, he'll disable any Perk Machine, buildable table, or mystery box in his path, forcing the player to chalk up 2000 points to reopen it. Once you knock off his helmet, the warden will then cover himself in a smokescreen before charging at you once more. While this doesn't do anything to mask the warden, it does obfuscate any other enemies you may be fighting.
The real meat and potatoes of the map are how players will access Pack-a-Punch. Around the map are several pieces players need to find to build a plane to escape from Alcatraz. Finding all of them and boarding the plane will send the mobsters flying, only to have them crash on the Golden Gate Bridge, where the only escape is via electric chair. Once you come back, you'll have to refuel the plane to go again.
If you complete the main quest, you'll be greeted with an audio tour of the prison. While fighting the horde, you'll uncover the story of the mobsters as they plan their escape in the same way as they do on the map. However, the plane you fly to Pack-a-Punch on was never built, as Finn, Sal, and Billy kill Al on the roof of the prison. The three are sentenced to death for the murder of Al, placing the four in the events of Mob of the Dead. Once you fly to the Golden Gate Bridge for the final time, the mobsters will have to face off with Al once more, though this time, Al is aided by the zombies, which is the only PvP Zombies interaction in the series' history. Whether the mobsters won or Al survived, the game would end, giving the Zombies its first-ever win condition.
Mob of the Dead was a taste of what the new age of Zombies was going to be. Players were given a checklist of tasks to complete, with optional quests and buildables to make survival easier. This blend of set-up and casual survival, combined with the grungy, otherworldly aesthetic, makes Mob of the Dead a one-of-a-kind map.
1. Origins - Black Ops II
![]()
The final map to release in Black Ops II is a refinement of some of the mechanics found in Mob of the Dead. Although, what Origins did that Mob didn't, was refine what would become the standard for Zombies maps going forward in the Black Ops series.
Taking place "on the battlefields of the great war," players would once again take control of the classic characters, Richtofen, Dempsey, Nikolai, and Takeo. However, these characters were different from the inherently goofy and sarcastic versions they had been removed from since Black Ops. These characters were more mature, refined, and grounded. The world around them was not.
Origins took place in an alternate, steampunk timeline, where giant robots roamed the WWI trenches and zombies terrorized the battlefield. The map was split into multiple sections, as players had to hold out on six generators to activate the Pack-a-Punch, excavated from the mysterious dig site that caused the zombie outbreak.
Players would find pieces of magic staffs throughout the map by either entering the robot by shooting a hatch as it stepped on them or digging them up during the brief times it snowed. Finding the gramophone and record item would open magic portals around the battlefield, allowing players to find a gem to complete their staff. With four buildable staffs, each player was able to wield a powerful Wonder Weapon, allowing them to incinerate, freeze, electrocute, or blow away hordes of zombies with ease.
At round eight, a Panzer Soldat would spawn in, a powerful enemy with a flamethrower and a grappling hook, ensnaring anyone in its way. If you could survive that long, Origins kept you busy by having Templar zombies attack the generators, forcing you to move to and stop them before you had to hold out on more difficult rounds.
![]()
Challenges were also introduced as a main mechanic, permitting players to complete objectives to unlock special rewards. Getting 115 headshots rewarded you with a free Pack-a-Punched weapon, while spending 30,000 points awarded you a bottle of Double Tap, letting you bypass the perk limit.
Any perk that wasn't available as a machine could be found in the Wunder-Fizz, which functioned like the Mystery Box but for perks. Origins did retain its four-perk limit, but you could increase the number of perks you could hold by upgrading your shovel. Once you acquired the gold shovel by using it enough, using the new powerup Zombie Blood would allow you to see special dig spots invisible by normal means, and digging them would give you a free perk. Digging enough spots with the golden shovel would net players with the golden helmet, preventing them from taking any damage when being stepped on by the giant robots.
The main quest would see players freeing Samantha from Agartha, though much like the new crew, this Samantha was different, guiding players through the mission rather than acting as the antagonist. Completing the Easter Egg ends the game, much like Mob of the Dead. However, this conclusion was a fully animated cutscene, where players discovered that the events of the map were nothing but action figures being played in Samantha's imagination...
...At least, that's what players assumed... until the plot of Black Ops III changed everything.
Origins sits atop the list of 15 best Call of Duty Zombies maps not just because of how influential it is to the series but also because of its intuitive set-up phase, its many side objectives, its powerful Wonder Weapons, and its entertaining and challenging main quest. It remains a map that fans will always come back to, no matter what mood they are in, as it readily satisfies every player's zombie-slaying needs.

The Kanto starters are among the most recognizable Pokémon of all time across the entire franchise – the highest-grossing across all media, to boot – and their final evolutions marked some of the most popular and powerful 'mon from the first generation of games.
In the TCG, Charizard's historical cachet from the original Base Set printing and its many other powerful and rare variants make it the most famous Pokémon card of all time. But what of 'Zard's Grass-type rival: Venusaur?
Venusaur debuted back in the TCG's Base Set in 1999 alongside 'Zard and Blastoise, and it remains one of the most iconic cards from that release. But what is the most valuable Venusaur card of all time? Frenzy Plant yourself on the couch, and let's take a look.
Note: All prices are via PriceCharting and TCGPlayer and represent ungraded copies of these cards. Graded copies fetch far higher premiums.
10. Holofoil Venusaur 198/165 (Special Illustration Rare) – Scarlet & Violet 151
Market Price: $77.14
![]()
The most recent card on this list is from the eminently popular Scarlet & Violet 151 set from 2023. This set solely featured cards from the first generation of Pokémon games (aka the "original 151") and had a plethora of special illustration rares, full-art cards, and plenty of other goodies that kept collectors and devoted fans happy.
This stunning SIR Venusaur card is part of a series of nine full-art cards featuring the first nine Pokémon of all time (by Pokedex number, that is): Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur, Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard, Squirtle, Wartortle, and Blastoise. All arts are beautiful and thematically linked based on their evolution line – with this gorgeous Venusaur card resting peacefully in a verdant, flowering field. An amazing card that kicks off the list auspiciously.
9. Dark Venusaur #7 (Winner) – Best of Promos
Market Price: $79.29
![]()
A massively rare card, this Dark Venusaur marks the only card in the TCG's history that turns the original Grass-type final starter evolution into an "evil" version of itself. This card is extremely hard to find, as it was only released during BattleZone Pokémon TCG tournaments in May 2003.
This card's interesting, moody art (I love the yellowish flower atop Venusaur's back that's normally pink) and supreme scarcity mean that finding a good-quality copy of this card is quite difficult, let alone a highly-graded one.
8. Holofoil Venusaur EX XY123 – XY Promos
Market Price: $90.47
![]()
Another highly rare promo card, this Venusaur represented a reprinting of the Venusaur EX found in the popular XY Evolutions set from 2016. It was included in special-edition "Red & Blue Collection Boxes" alongside various packs from the X&Y era of the TCG.
This card's gorgeous, action-packed Naoki Saito artwork features a lunging Venusaur smashing through some barrier with a menacing Scyther in flight underneath Venusaur and an excited-looking Vileplume holding onto one of Venusaur's potent vines. An amazing – and rare – card; it's no surprise to see its value above $90 on the secondary market nearly 10 years after release.
7. Holofoil Venusaur – Expedition
Market Price: $96.77
![]()
The eReader series of Pokémon TCG cards is surely divisive. Whether it be the art style of this era or the huge honking yellow border on cards that was expanded to accommodate the eReader barcode for select Game Boy Advance titles, you either love these cards or hate them.
Regardless of your opinion, cards from the three eReader sets (Expedition, Aquapolis, Skyridge) are worth a premium on the secondary market due to limited print runs, unusual card designs, and striking artwork. All of those traits lead this holo Venusaur card to be worth nearly $100 on the secondary market. Notably, there was a non-holo Venusaur card from this set as well (#67), but, of course, the holographic card is worth far more.
6. Holofoil Venusaur (Shadowless) – Base Set
Market Price: $108.23
![]()
The most notable feature of the first two Pokémon TCG sets released was that both boasted a notable misprint. This "shadowless" finish looks starkly different from the regular Base Set cards, and that difference is enough to make shadowless cards among the most valuable in the game's history.
Certainly, that affects the Base Set printing of Venusaur, as a shadowless version is worth close to double what a non-shadowless version is (about $53). While standard Base Set cards surely look more "complete," there's something about the shadowless versions that are tremendously attractive. Perhaps it's the sky-high price tags!
5. Holofoil Venusaur #13 – Black Star Promos
Market Price: $110.84
![]()
The first card featuring Ken Sugimori's original Venusaur artwork was not the Base Set version – which boasted artwork by legendary Pokémon TCG artist Mitsuhiro Arita – but rather this WoTC Black Star Promo (#13).
Featuring the striking cosmos holofoil finish and an interesting Pokémon Power: Solar Power, this card was only available in the Pokémon Trading Card Game: Official Nintendo Player's Guide, which was released in March 2000—hence its over $110 price point and supreme scarcity today.
4. Holofoil Venusaur ex – Fire Red & Leaf Green
Market Price: $115.50
![]()
The Ruby & Sapphire era of the Pokémon TCG introduced high-powered "ex" cards to the game, which have gone through multiple iterations (EX, GX, V, VMAX, etc.) before finally settling once again, in the Scarlet & Violet era, back into the "ex" realm.
The first Venusaur ex card was found in the Fire Red & Leaf Green set from 2004 and boasted some striking computer-generated artwork from Ryo Ueda. Perhaps the most notable feature of the ex cards from this era of the TCG is that the cosmos holofoil method expands all the way to the silver border of the cards – making them both beautiful and valuable collectors' items.
3. Holofoil Erika's Venusaur (First Edition) – Gym Challenge
Market Price: $172.50
![]()
The first partner Pokémon cards in the TCG were found in the Gym Heroes and Gym Challenge sets. These cards were represented as 'mon that belonged to specific trainers in the game, such as Misty, Giovanni, Lt. Surge and – most notably for Venusaur – Erika.
Erika, the Celadon City gym leader in Pokémon Red & Blue, Gold & Silver, and other mainline games from the franchise, does not boast a Venusaur in the games themselves but does have a powerful final evolution of Bulbasaur in the TCG. With awesome Ken Sugimori artwork and that eminently valuable "First Edition" symbol, this card's price point approaches $200 25 years after it released.
2. Reverse Holofoil Venusaur (Fireworks) – Legendary Collection
Market Price: $186.25
![]()
As evidenced by the most valuable cards from Legendary Collection, reverse holos from that set (featuring the amazing "fireworks" finish) are among the most valuable cards of all time – and that trend holds true for the Legendary Collection reverse holo version of Venusaur as well.
Grass-types look especially nice with the fireworks holo finish, as there's something about that mint-green color that pairs perfectly with the cascading holographics of the fireworks holofoil style. While Charizard and Dark Blastoise are the more valuable cards from that set, the Legendary Collection Venusaur is the second-most valuable Venusaur card of all time, behind only…
1. Holofoil Venusaur (First Edition Shadowless) – Base Set
Market Price: $747.64
![]()
Unsurprisingly, the most valuable Venusaur card is the First Edition Shadowless copy of the card from the TCG's first-ever release: Base Set. This card is immediately recognizable and special, as are almost all cards from the set – even lowly trainers such as Defender or Maintenance.
There's simply something ineffable about Pokémon TCG's Base Set cards. Perhaps it's nostalgia, or perhaps it's the original artwork, but no matter what, getting your hands on a copy of a First Edition Venusaur from Base Set will set you back close to $800. Of course, if you want a graded copy, expect to shell out anywhere from $850 (PSA 5) to – gulp – $30,000 (BGS Black Label 10).

A new Pokémon game has appeared! Well, kind of. It involves Google Search, so it's not quite a sequel or Pokémon Legends: Z-A yet, but it's still kind of fun.
Exclusive to mobile, the Pokémon Google Search game is all about searching about your favorite Pokémon from the original collection of 151 pocket monsters to add them to your digital Pokédex in a very cute way to amp up search traffic for the long-running monster-catching franchise—as if it wasn't already hugely popular!
For the full list of the first 151 Pokémon, visit the Pokémon website to check out the official Pokédex, and then get ready to catch 'em all on your way to becoming a Pokémon-googling Master.
How to catch Pokémon on Google Search
![]()
This Pokémon game on Google Search is only available on mobile, so grab your iOS or Android device and get to Googling. But first, make sure you're signed in to a Google account so it can track your progress. If you're not signed in, the Pokémon you catch won't be tracked.
Next, all you need to do is type in names of the first 151 Pokémon. I started with Pikachu, as you can see below. Over the top of your Google search in your phone's web browser, a Pokéball icon appears on the bottom right.
Tap it, and the Pokémon you searched will appear, and then the Pokéball will be thrown at them to catch them like in Pokémon GO. This will begin your Pokémon-catching journey. It all begins with a starter Pokémon, even on Google.
![]()
![]()
As you catch more and more Pokémon, you will earn Master Balls, with one earned at different intervals of number of Pokémon caught. You will earn a Master Ball at five, 20, 50, 100 and 150 Pokémon caught, and these Master Balls can be used to catch the five Legendary Pokémon from the original 151.
These legendaries need to be caught in order, so this is when to use your Master Balls and which Pokémon to use them on:
Once you catch all 151 Pokémon, who knows what could happen? Maybe your Google account will forever be tied to Pokémon Mastery? Stay tuned to see what happens next in this latest episode of Pokémon on Google, but be prepared to catch 'em all.

It's been less than two days since Verdansk, the original Call of Duty: Warzone map, returned to the battle royale game. And I've already played more of the mode since yesterday than I have since Black Ops 6 launched.
Warzone lost me, and presumably many others, over the past few years with its influx of changes. I played what I had to for my job, but outside of that, I rarely played it for joy or in my spare time. And that stinks because I liked the game a lot at one point.
![]()
As a CoD writer for over a decade now, my finger is on the pulse of the community as part of my job, but also as a series veteran who started playing back in 2007. I've seen and played it all, for the most part, and for the last few years the negativity surrounding the game has been a real drag.
Through both additions and subtractions, the player base has felt scorned enough to inspire Activision to base the majority of BO6's season three around rolling back many of those changes and highlighting the OG map.
Well, the throwback to Verdansk and several of the BR's original features thankfully seems to be a big success thus far, because community sentiment around the update has been massively positive over the first two days. This could always (and likely will) change with time, but for now, Verdansk's return is a smash hit.
"Verdansk is perfect," said one user in response to detractors wishing for redeploy balloons (zip lines that allow players to glide over long distances) to be added back to the map. It seems as though many players are enjoying the fact that Verdansk makes Warzone feel like a battle royale yet again, where playing your life is more important than in recent seasons due to an influx of ways to respawn.
"The more valuable your life is, the more rewarding it is to survive," another player said. "With less plates, less buy stations and less money, your life has VALUE. This makes every encounter have high stakes, which leads to a more engaging game."
![]()
The reintroduction of a couple of classic "necessary" vehicles like the Big Bertha truck and helicotper, along with rollbacks to the speed and movement of the gas circle, makes rotations "feel meaningful" again, better lining up with how Warzone and Verdansk felt when the game took the world by storm in 2020.
Adding Verdansk back is just a part of why the game feels so fun again to so many, as evidenced by those taking to social media to express their joy. Since Verdansk was swapped out of Warzone back in 2021, it felt at times like the game was changing for the sake of change, moving further away from what so many gamers found fun about the free-to-play game.
"This is the closest this game has felt to WZ1," one player posted. "Map visibility, movement, audio, flow, and the satisfaction of downing/finishing is an absolute W again. Server stability - no dev errors, no glaring bugs, great job DEVS."
The happiness is a nice change of pace in the CoD playerbase, where everyone seems to be miserable all of the time judging by how they talk online. But for once, it feels as though there is a semblance of peace among us.
![]()
Nothing is perfect for everyone, of course. Many players still wish to see more Buy Stations, more money, and more armor plates on the map. But for the time being, Warzone feels like the hot drop in town once again, and I'm going to enjoy it while I can.

Weapon enchantments in Arise Crossover can multiply your DPS and make even SS dungeons easy to grind. However, you can't enchant Rare weapons without some Rare Powder Dust. So, we prepared the following guide on how to get Rare Powder Dust in Arise Crossover to help you farm this material using only the best methods.
Table of Contents
How to Get Rare Powder Dust in Arise Crossover
Currently, there are three ways to get Rare Powder Dust in Arise Crossover: farming Dungeons, being AFK, and converting Common Powder Dust. All three methods are covered in-depth further below. However, the optimal way to farm Rare Powder Dust in Arise Crossover is to combine all three methods at once.
In short, you want to stay in the AFK Rewards lobby until a C or a B-tier Dungeon gate spawns. Then, do the Dungeon and repeat it as much as you can. Finally, go back to the AFK Rewards lobby and chill until a new Dungeon appears. You can get more information on how to access and repeat Dungeons in our Arise Crossover Dungeon guide. In the process, you will get some Common Powder Dust as well, which you can convert to Rare Powder Dust. This way, you are maximizing the amount of Rare Powder Dust you can get while you are online.
![]()
Overnight, you can leave your character in the AFK Rewards lobby for some extra Rare Powder Dust. Keep in mind that you can have only up to 1,000 Rare Powder Dust in your inventory at a time. So, if you are getting close to the cap, convert some into Legendary Powder Dust or enchant your Weapons.
Grinding Rare Powder Dust in Dungeons
![]()
![]()
Rare Powder Dust can drop from every mob within C and B-rank Dungeons in Arise Crossover. However, the drop rate for it is really low, and it doesn't increase in more difficult Dungeons. So, the only way to improve the drop rate of Rare Powder Dust is to purchase the 2X Drop Chance battlepass. To stay efficient, focus on grinding C and B Dungeons in which you can one-shot enemies.
Converting Common into Rare Powder Dust
If you managed to get some Common Powder Dust while being AFK or in lower-tier Dungeons, you can convert it to Rare Powder Dust at a 10/1 exchange rate. To do this, visit the Exchange Shop on the upper floor of the Guild building in Solo City.
Farming Rare Powder Dust in the AFK Rewards Lobby
![]()
While in the AFK Rewards lobby, you have a chance of getting 20 Rare Powder Dust every 5 minutes (4 if you have Roblox Premium). The chance of it dropping here is also low, unless there is an ongoing X2 AFK Rewards event. Still, it is the only way of getting Rare Powder Dust in Arise Crossover when there are no C or D-rank Dungeons to grind.
Spending Rare Powder Dust in Arise Crossover
![]()
In Arise Crossover, you can spend Rare Powder Dust to enchant your Rare weapons at the Enchants NPC in Solo City. Now, you will get only a limited amount of these, no matter how hard you try to farm them. So, enchant non-SS rank weapons only a few times and save the rest for when you upgrade them to the SS rank.
That sums up everything you need to know about how to get Rare Powder Dust in Arise Crossover. If you want to learn how to draw out the full strength of your Shadows as well, make sure to check out our guides on how to level up and upgrade Shadows in Arise Crossover as well.

I went into A Minecraft Movie as a total skeptic, having rolled my eyes whenever I saw the preview, but I left humbly reminded that it's always best to reserve judgment. It surprised me in all of the best ways, and now I'm convinced it's so bad that it's actually somehow good.
A Minecraft Movie is surprisingly funny, self-aware, and charming. It's just a genuinely good time from start to finish with a stellar cast who own their roles and an unexpectedly strong message about the importance of creativity.
![]()
The cast makes this movie, and the plot falls into the background by comparison. Jack Black and Jason Momoa commit to their roles as Steve and Garrett "The Garbage Man" Garrison 110 percent, and you just know every line they utter will stick with you. Black's lines, especially, are so over-the-top and dramatic that you can't get them out of your head, no matter how much you try.
I saw the film with my brother, and we've been quoting him nonstop since we left the theater. "Chicken jockey," "Flint and steel," and "I...am Steve" are our favorites. These might sound like simple lines, but Black's delivery makes them iconic and unforgettable.
Of course, there's also the line "First we mine, then we craft, let's Minecraft!" which has to be one of the most absurd things Black has ever said. It's this absurdity, though, this self-awareness, that had me laughing every few seconds and enjoying the entire runtime of the film.
![]()
In a subplot that is somehow one of the best parts of the film, Jennifer Coolidge owns the role of Marlene, a recently divorced vice principal who falls in love with a lost Minecraft villager after accidentally hitting him with her car.
Cooolidge's character loves what a great listener the villager is, which is hilarious since he spends all but one scene uttering the signature villager "hmm" sound in response to everything she says. It's exactly this kind of humor and nonsense that makes A Minecraft Movie so enjoyable.
The rest of the cast is memorable, too, but heavily underutilized, which is my only big gripe with this film. Emma Myers's Natalie, Sebastian Hansen's Henry, and Danielle Brooks's Dawn are all compelling and necessary for the plot, but they don't get enough screentime compared to the big guns.
![]()
Pixels is a decent comparison. That video game-centric film is also held together by its cast, especially Peter Dinklage. Pixels is a decently good time, but it ultimately falls short because it takes itself too seriously. A Minecraft Movie, on the other hand, knows how absurd it is, and because of that, it absolutely shines.
This ridiculousness is captured best when Black's Steve takes down Malgosha, the evil Piglin sorceress and main antagonist. After she's been defeated, she tries three times to lure Steve closer so she can pull out different tiny knives to kill him. Steve literally asks her if that's her plan before going in the first time, but does it anyway, and it somehow gets funnier with each additional knife she tries to use against him, predictable as it may be.
The direct Minecraft references are pretty solid, too. When Jack Black's Steve called a crown-wearing pig a "legend" as a homage to Technoblade, I genuinely teared up. It was also fun to see DanTDM, LDShadowLady, and a few other prominent Minecraft creators in the spotlight. These added to the film's overall feeling of being one giant, silly, ridiculous love letter to Minecraft.
![]()
I also really enjoyed the strong pro-creativity and individuality message featured in the movie. In our AI-infested zeitgeist, games like Minecraft, where you're only limited by your own imagination and where originality is encouraged, are so important. This film recognizes this idea and builds the entire plot around it, even including a line that mentions how much harder it is to create than it is to destroy.
The film ends on a high note with Steve setting out to bring creativity back to the real world, and the post-credits scenes only made me love this film even more. It certainly doesn't seem like the end of the story, and I'm fully ready to grab my pickaxe and return to the Overworld to experience more.
If I had to rate it, I'd probably give this movie around a seven out of 10 with the acknowledgment that A Minecraft Movie certainly isn't for everyone, but it's exactly the film I needed right now. It might be what you need right now, too, so I urge you to give it a shot if you're a fan of Minecraft.
Make sure you bring a loved one along for good measure so that you can enjoy quoting the best nonsensical lines to each other afterward. Otherwise, who else will you say "They love crushing a loaf" to?

Ever imagined transforming the Ray Gun Mark 2 into a deadly marksman rifle? Now's your chance with the Black Ops 6 Zombies Shattered Veil map. In this guide, we'll walk you through every step to craft the powerful Ray Gun Mark 2-R variant in BO6 Zombies.
Table of contents
BO6 Zombies Ray Gun Mark 2-R upgrade walkthrough
Your first step to the Ray Gun Mark 2-R variant begins around Round 10, where you'll discover the Floppy Disk. It'll then lead you to the Severed Arm, earning you the traditional Ray Gun Mark 2 base build. You may even skip this entire process if you're lucky enough to grab it through the Mystery Box. Once you've claimed the base build, you must follow these steps for the Ray Gun Mark 2-R upgrade:
Grab an Empty Canister from Blue Rocks, pipes at the Mainframe Chamber, or use the LT53 Kazimir near Double Tap. After this, it's time to find four Plant seeds, which we'll review in detail.
All Shattered Veil Plant Seed locations
There are eight potential spawns (there may be one more that I haven't discovered yet) where the plant can appear. You must find four and shoot them with the base version Ray Gun Mark 2 (without Pack-a-Punch) or an explosive. If you use regular weapons, they won't explode, so it's best not to utilize them for this step. Let's break down where each plant can spawn in Shattered Veil.
Shem's Henge location
![]()
One of the first plants can be found in Shem's Henge, near the Speed Cola machine. It'll be pretty hidden by a bush, but you should be able to notice its distinct glow.
![]()
Garden Pond location
![]()
Head to the Conservatory area to reach Garden Pond. Look for a set of stairs to locate one of the plants, which will be next to the Dark Aether Field Generator.
![]()
Garden Pond location 2
![]()
Another plant can be found in the corner of a structure in Garden Pond (below the stairs).
![]()
Motor Court location
![]()
Look to the left of the mansion's main entrance; you'll find one of the plants next to some fire.
![]()
Motor Court location 2
![]()
Another plant could potentially spawn near the burning house, at the bottom right corner of the Motor Court.
![]()
West Balcony location
![]()
The next possible plant spawn can appear near the large tree at West Balcony.
![]()
South West Balcony location
![]()
To the left of one of the map items, you'll find a plant resting on the balcony southwest of Shattered Veil.
![]()
Rear Patio location
![]()
The plant on the Rear Patio is the most challenging to find, as it is tucked away in a bush. Go to the Double Tap machine and see if it spawns in the corner there.
![]()
How to use Plant Seeds in BO6 Zombies Shattered Veil
If you can collect four Plant Seeds, travel to the Conservatory to spot four planters inside the building. Then, place the Empty Canister on the device.
![]()
Interact with each seed inside the four different planters, where you must protect the plants from zombies. You must wait until each seed is fully grown (the progress bar will increase). I recommend staying right in front of the planter and eliminating the zombies with glowing purple eyes. If a planter gets damaged, pick up the Plant Seed in front of it to return the seed. You'll have to trigger the next round to interact with it again.
Planter location 1
![]()
Look straight across from the device to locate the first planter.
Planter location 2
![]()
While at the first location, go to the other side of the room to pinpoint the following planter.
Planter location 3
![]()
Head downstairs in the Conservatory and then travel outside toward Quick Revive. At the back of the building, you'll uncover a planter.
Planter location 4
![]()
The last planter will be inside the building across Quick Revive, near one of the Blue Rocks.
How to craft Ray Gun Mark 2-R upgrade in BO6 Zombies
Those who guard all four planters will gain the Toxic Canister, which can be obtained from the device. Craft the Ray Gun Mark 2-R at the workbench Garden Pond (near spawn).
![]()
Wait for a few seconds for the crafting bar to load up, and voila, you now have the new upgrade. Test it out to see how its shooting pattern differs from the base build. You can also use it to complete the BO6 Zombies Shattered Veil Main Quest. However, you will need the 2-W and 2-P variants to conquer the map's Easter Egg.
How to fix the fourth plant not spawning issue in BO6 Zombies Shattered Veil
Unfortunately, there seems to be a bug with the Ray Gun Mark 2-R quest where the fourth plant does not appear at all. Many players, including myself, have run into this issue. I only resolved this problem by saving and quitting a few times. No matter how many rounds progressed, I couldn't get the plant seed to spawn for quite a while. But, once I saved and quit the match twice, the plant seed finally appeared.
The plant bug could eventually be resolved as more Call of Duty patches are released. Nevertheless, we may not see a permanent solution until the debut of Season 3 Reloaded.

The first major Monster Hunter Wilds update is here, bringing a wide array of new features, including new weapons, armor sets—and above all else, the arrival of MH Generations' Mizutsune.
But how exactly can you unlock both the regular and tempered versions of the monster? Here's how to find and beat Mizutsune in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Table of contents
How to unlock the Mizutsune hunt in Monster Hunter Wilds
You can unlock Mizutsune in Monster Hunter Wilds by completing the Spirit in the Moonlight mission. The mission will become available once you reach Hunter Rank 21 and can be triggered by talking to Kanya at the Scarlet Forest Base Camp after completing Fishing Life, in Microcosm.
![]()
How to find and unlock the Tempered Mizutsune
After completing Spirit in the Moonlight, you can then unlock the ability to spot and hunt the Tempered Mizutsune by reaching Hunter Rank 41. I was, however, only able to find the Tempered version of the monster in Ruins of Wyveria.
![]()
How to beat Mizutsune in MH Wilds
![]()
Like in Generations, spatial awareness is a must when facing Mizutsune in MH Wilds, as the monster pairs its highly aggressive moveset—composed of tail spins, lunges, and jet streams—with the ability to constantly let out damaging bubbles capable of applying both Waterblight and Bubbleblight. The effects of Waterblight can be cancelled by rolling around or using a Nulberry, while Bubbleblight can be cured by using a Cleanser. While enraged, the monster becomes capable of also applying Fireblight, which will eat away your HP until removed.
I know the above can be overwhelming, but don't worry—the Mizutsune is weak to Ice, Dragon, and Electric, and can be countered by aiming at its head while making use of Cut and Blunt weapons.
![]()
Being aggressive is also key here, since most of Mizutsune's big attacks can be easily telegraphed even when up close. Just make sure to respect its bubbles and jets, as a Tempered Mizutsune can easily one-shot even the most prepared hunter by pairing its heavy damage and its effects. If you want a bigger layer of protection, equipping water-resistant armor sets can also help a lot.
All Mizutsune armor recipes
Like all other big monsters in the game, you can craft both Alpha and Beta versions of the Mizusune armor set in Monster Hunter Wilds. The High Rank sets will become available after facing Mizutsune for the first time, and each of its parts can be crafted by using the materials below:
As a true hunter never forgets their loyal companions, you can also craft the full Alpha Mizutsune Palico set by expending one Mizutsune Claw+ for the Parasol, one Mizutsune Scale+ for the suit, and one Mizutsune Purplefur+ for the Feline Mizutsune Kasa.

The casino is an interesting place to visit in Schedule 1, as it can be a source of good fortune to expand your business empire.
There are three different games to explore, and this guide will help you hedge your bets on the best option. While making money in Schedule 1's casino relies on luck, this guide will certainly increase the odds in your favor and reduce the chances of potentially losing money.
Table of contents
Best game to play in Schedule 1 win rate
When you visit the casino, you can play one of three games:
How to play Blackjack in Schedule 1
The best game, by far, is Blackjack. It's no different from how the game works in real life; you're dealt two cards, and the same applies for the Dealer. You can only see one of the Dealer cards. The objective is to land on 21 according to card scores. If it's not 21, the objective is to land as closely as possible to that score.
![]()
If you go above 21, you go Bust and immediately lose your bet. If the Dealer's score is closer to 21 than you, you also lose your bet. Each turn, you can do one of the following actions.
Ideally, this is the strategy you should go for to increase the odds in your favor.
The dealer has a fixed condition: hit till they reach 16 and stand if they have 17 or higher.
Players have another advantage in the form of their Aces. The Ace can count as either 11 or one, depending on the situation. If the combined total of the cards on your hands goes past 21, the Ace card will count for just one. This is a benefit that's only reserved for you, so make sure to take advantage of it.
Ultimately, there will be some instances when luck won't be in your favor. I have had instances where I got 20 (the second-best total to get), but the Dealer scored 21. If you follow the instructions mentioned here, you'll eventually be in the green, and also earn a lot of cash. The following section will explain why I don't like either Slots or Ride the Bus.
Slots in Schedule 1, explained
![]()
The slots in Schedule 1 work on an algorithm that's quite unclear to begin with. To maximize your profits, you'll need to either hit triple bells or triple 777s. Neither of those outcomes is going to happen consistently, and you'll lose a lot of money in the long run.
Ride the Bus in Schedule 1, explained
![]()
Ride the Bus involves four questions, and you'll have to make the correct guess in a limited time. There's a 50/50 odd for you to be correct (only the last question has an odd of 1:4)
Ride the Bus allows you to escape at any given moment. So you can bet on the suit, guess it correctly, and double the money. But your odds of winning at the highest is only 0.5. It will consistently go down. While you can quit at any time and keep the rewards, but there's a 50-percent chance that you will lose your money.
If you get the first two guesses correct, you'll get three times your bet. However, the odds of doing so will be (0.5*0.5 = 0.25). The odds progressively go lower, but the reward doesn't improve to compensate for the added risk. Hence, you should avoid Ride the Bus.

The final one will add the third playstyle+, upgrade your selected item to a 94-rated card, and complete the process. The final evolution is expected to be released on April 11, while Rival Conqueror is expected on April 8. This complete chain will span the entire duration of the Immortals promo. The final evolution should cost about 500,000 coins or 1,000 FC Points if rumors are to be believed. We will have details of the last two objectives in this guide after they go live in Ultimate Team.

Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 brought along the ability to face Zoh Shia in an HR (High-Rank) environment. If you're interested in challenging this beast of a monster outside the campaign, here's how you can.
Table of contents
How to the High Rank Zoh Shia quest in Monster Hunter Wilds
Unlocking Zoh Shia as an HR monster is easy, especially if you've been playing Monster Hunter Wilds since launch. You're required to be HR 50 and to complete the new story quest, A First Cry.
![]()
This quest involves you speaking with your long-time handler, Alma, about a new development involved with the Dragontorch. You'll get a bit of story info about HR Zoh Shia and a new cutscene showing it in action before facing it yourself.
Following the cutscene, you'll be thrust into action, immediately spawning before HR Zoh Shia's arena. The area is similar to the location you faced it during the campaign, and you're going to need all that space to survive this encounter.
![]()
If you're not ready to face it yet, you can return to town without worry. You can challenge HR Zoh Shia after watching his initial cutscene by starting the Germination quest. Once completed, however, you won't be able to use this method again.
How strong is Zoh Shia in High Rank?
HR Zoh Shia is significantly stronger than any other foe in Monster Hunter Wilds, with a colossal health pool that only gets larger if you're playing with others. This monster hits very hard, and if you're not geared enough, it can easily kill you in a single attack. The fight is also rather long and requires much more effort than any other monsters currently.
If you're playing online with other people, be warned: HR Zoh Shia is a breeding ground for carting. Unless you're with a trusted group, I recommend facing it solo before jumping into random parties. Either way, bring your A-game, or you'll be in for a world of hurt.

Marvel Rivals' season two launching next week is the talk of the town, but not because of the game's balance changes or new map. It's all about the new hero.
And when I say it's all about the new hero, I really mean the discussion is all about her thighs. Emma Frost, X-Men member and new Vanguard hero, broke the internet after her reveal yesterday. She's been a highly sought after addition ever since her existence leaked months ago, but once everyone actually saw her in-game design, minds were blown.
![]()
Miss Frost went rather viral after her debut (the Twitter/X post yielded over 5,000 reposts and 2.3 million views so far), thanks in large part to her quadriceps. To put it lightly, she looks like she could leg press the Hulk and The Thing at the same time, and the buzz on social media was all about her thighs.
The hero's outfit highlights her icy, diamond powers (and that's without getting into her telepathic powers of persuasion), featuring a white-and-blue colorway on boots and a sleeved torso-covering dress and skirt. But it's her bare upper legs that sent the gaming crowd into a frenzy.
A simple search of just "thighs" on social media (which is very NSFW—I can't underscore enough to do this carefully and at your own discretion) yields a slew of Emma Frost reactions, memes, "fan art," and talk about the hero. And honestly, it's well-deserved. Her design in Marvel Rivals depicts her as quite voluptuous, and her thighs even appear to have jiggle physics, so the reaction was to be expected.
This is not out of character for Frost, though. She's often portrayed in the comics and other depictions as using her powers of persuasion, both telepathic and feminine, for her own advantages, so it's a faithful albeit slightly exaggerated adaptation.
The new tank hero's reveal sparked a lot of excitement, disbelief, and art inspiration throughout the day. But last night, NetEase Games revealed a peek at her abilities, and it's her kit I'm most excited about, especially as a Vanguard main.
Emma Frost's main attack looks to be an icy wave projectile, evoking memories of Mei in Overwatch. She also has a shield she can project to block incoming damage and the ability to switch into her organic diamond form, turning her into a melee character who also has a command grab and a kick that will send enemies flying.
Her ultimate, for which she screams "KNEEL, PEASANTS," is her telepathy at work. It's an outward wave that deals damage and also draws enemies towards her, which is great for crowd control, pulling enemies off of a ledge, or just being very disruptive.
Emma's kit looks balanced, fun, and varied, and that's all you can ask for when it comes to a new character in a hero shooter. My point is, Emma Frost is so much more than her thick thighs, and I'm stoked to try her out when Marvel Rivals season two begins on April 11.
