PCGamesN Wednesday, May 14, 2025 9:58 AM ![]() Wood is quickly becoming the latest trend in gaming PC builds, with plenty of the latest cases featuring wooden front panels, and now it looks as though you'll soon be able to add a touch of good old-fashioned wood grain to your CPU cooler too. Deepcool has just shared a teaser image of a new air cooler with wooden paneling that it's going to show off at the Computex tradeshow in Taiwan, and to me it looks much classier than an LCD. This isn't the first time we've seen wood added to CPU cooling gear, of course. EK produced a very stylish range of wooden waterblocks for those brave enough to water-cool a PC, for example, but this is the first time I've seen wood on an air cooler. Typically, the best CPU coolers in this sector are mainly made from metal, with a large fan or two helping to push air through all the heatsink fins, but this Computex teaser from Deepcool is the first time I've seen an air cooler with wood incorporated into the design. PCGamesN Wednesday, May 14, 2025 9:00 AM ![]() We've seen it all end in tears before. A beloved studio makes a name for itself creating revered, narrative-driven, single-player action games, and then puts out an investor-satisfying multiplayer game that fails to deliver. But with FBC Firebreak, Remedy Entertainment's co-op FPS set within the besieged walls of Control's Oldest House, things have felt different from the very start. A focus on eccentricity, scalable difficulties and session lengths, and an anti-live service approach positions it as a refreshing multiplayer experience. But is it just as fresh to play? After getting around three hours of hands-on time with FBC Firebreak at Remedy's home base in Finland, I'm pleased to say that while it doesn't do much to revolutionize the co-op shooter gameplay loop, it's an absolute hoot. PCGamesN Wednesday, May 14, 2025 8:00 AM ![]() Nvidia could be making a new budget gaming GPU that's even cheaper than the $299 RTX 5060, with an increasing number of reports pointing to the potential launch of an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 GPU for desktop gaming PCs. The latest evidence to add to the pile is a filing from Chinese graphics card maker Maxsun, which lists a huge total of 16 RTX 5050 graphics cards, covering various product ranges. While Nvidia hasn't officially announced this GPU, several leaks about the RTX 5050 have already appeared over the last few months. It's rumored to contain 2,560 CUDA cores based on the latest Blackwell architecture, along with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM, rather than the GDDR7 memory used on all the other RTX 5000 cards. With these specs, we wouldn't expect it to be the absolute best graphics card, of course, but we're hoping it will be priced generously – there hasn't been a new sub-$299 gaming GPU from Nvidia for a number of years now, after all. Firaxis has good intentions - after 34 years, the formula for the Civ series, and historical 4X games more generally, needs an overhaul. But perhaps Civilization 7 is trying to make too much change all at once. The eras system. The division between cities and towns. Coupled with the UI troubles and the absence of certain core features at launch, like name editing and team-based multiplayer, the initial reception to Civ 7 was always likely to be chilly. Some major updates have already been delivered and I think Firaxis can still make Civ 7 work, but the game's reputation is starting to solidify - and you can see it in the numbers. Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Wednesday, May 14, 2025 9:00 AM ![]() Objects of power play a crucial role in the fiction of Control, the setting for three-player co-op shooter FBC: Firebreak. In the lore, they're archetypal artefacts that have gained strange powers. In Firebreak itself, they represent random events that can suddenly make the game's enemies, the Hiss, more powerful for short bursts - and there's usually enough of them that a short burst is all they need for things to get frantic quickly. You might even say power is a major theme of this setting. Power over the control of information. The institutional power of the Federal Bureau Of Control itself, in whose brutalist, labyrinthe HQ the game is set. The power of the archetypal ideas that give the altered objects their strength. One thing you won't be thinking about power in relation to, however, is the guns. They are, in a word or two, wilting shitlillies. |

There will be a new One Piece comic or cartoon project following Tony Tony Chopper called Chopper's. The idea is that it will show what the character's life would be like if he lived alongside us in modern times. The official site notes that Eiichiro Oda, Shueisha, and animation company Maxilla are involved.
The first comic hasn't appeared yet and there are currently no animations at time of writing showing what his adventures will look like in Chopper's yet. However, the official site did share a key image and three sample images that suggest what the art style will look like and how it might go. The key image serves to only show a more muted, pastel, and cute design direction for Chopper. In the images, we see the character walking down the aisle of an airplane to head on a trip, doing some baking, and taking a selfie.
Here is how all three of the initial images look. It suggests that Chopper might be the only figure in color, with other characters, items, and backgrounds being monochromatic.

As for where we can see these new adventures, they'll be online daily on social media and video sites. The comics will be shown on their own Instagram and X. Only the key image is on both now. Meanwhile, it looks like these shorts for Chopper's will be uploaded to the One Piece TikTok and YouTube accounts.
We've seen this character get his moments like this before. He appeared in a platformer focused on him, and the One Piece Tamagotchi involves raising him.
The One Piece Chopper's comic and animated shorts will start running soon. The original One Piece anime is on streaming services like Crunchyroll and Netflix, the manga is handled by Viz Media in English, and the live-action adaptation is on Netflix.

Square Enix announced that it has officially canceled Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link. The company added that it will focus on developing Kingdom Hearts 4 to ensure that the Kingdom Hearts series still continues on.
The company originally revealed Missing-Link along with Kingdom Hearts 4 during the series' 20th anniversary event in April 2022. The mobile app was to be made with a robust avatar character customization and a movement system that would support both GPS-based tracking and manual pad controls.
Several people were able to get early hands-on experience with Missing-Link via closed beta tests, which Square Enix held in late 2023 and May 2024. However, in November 2024, the company announced a delay for the full launch of the mobile game without providing a new release window. The game's official social media account had no further posts between the above delay announcement and today's confirmation of the game's cancellation.
The official announcement tweet, which confirms that Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link has been canceled, is also available to view right below:
Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link was originally slated to be available for iOS and Android mobile devices. This mobile game will now never see the light of day, as Square Enix is shifting its focus to develop the next mainline console entry, Kingdom Hearts 4.

The Pokémon Company has recently revealed some interesting statistics about Pokémon TCG Pocket's ranked mode, showcasing the top ten most-used decks during April 2025's A2b season.
While there are a few surprisinging inclusions such as Beedrix ex, the top two decks of the format should come as no surprise to trainers playing last, and this, season, with two variants of Darkrai ex and Giratina ex dominating nearly 13% of all decks last season—and has likely increased this season as well.
It's hard to explain why the deck is so strong without playing the game, but know that it is a pretty broken combination that doesn't have much counterplay with the current cards available in-game.
And that's a bad thing.
A healthy metagame is needed to incentivise trainers to go on the long and grindy process of trying to reach Master Ball rank, and it can be pretty mind-numbing to play the same deck over and over again. You either come across the deck and it slowly burns and chips you out, or you play it yourself and have to deal with constant un-fun mirror matches over and over again.
There have been some anti-meta decks this season thanks to a small yellow demon bird, but the bird fails to really deal with Darkrai's ability to deal 20 damage simply by attaching a Dark-type energy to it. Other trainers have been actively discussing on social media how they "can't escape" the duo at all, with lots of players calling for some way to deal with the deck come next expansion.
This season has seen some other powerful decks come into play, with Solgaleo ex and Rayquaza ex equally having strong play and being picked up by new and old players alike. The introduction of Rare Candy has also seen other decks form to try and overtake the powerful Darkrai ex and Giratina ex meta, but they are still failing to the consistently the former brings.
It'll be interesting to see where the deck lines up in usage come the end of the season, as the data we are getting only represents the most-used decks and not decks with the highest win rate. But let's hope the next mini set brings some polarizing cards that'll force dramatic changes in ranked play for months to come.

This duty may seem tricky if you're not sure who qualifies as a restaurateur. A few characters around the valley run food and drink stalls, so you might be tempted to consider them for this quest too. Gaston runs a meat stall and Mulan runs a tea stall, but neither of these is an actual restaurant, so they don't count for the purposes of this task.
Give any restaurateur in the valley their favorite gifts in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To complete the give any restaurateur in the valley their favorite gifts quest for the Garden of Whimsy Star Path event, you need to give Tiana and Remy 10 of their favorite items of the day. You can give all 10 gifts to only one of the two characters or give some to both. The process can be broken up however you like, as long as a total of 10 favorite items are gifted to these two villagers.
Remy and Tiana only have three requested items per day, so it takes a minimum of two days to finish this task. Some other Star Path event duties, like the one that asks you to give gifts to a blonde, allow you to gift any items to make progress. This quest specifically includes the word "favorite," though, so only presents requested by Tiana and Remy count.
There are two different methods you can use to find out what these characters want.

Giving Tiana and Remy a total of 10 gifts gets you 20 Tokens to spend in the Star Path event. It's a pretty decent amount for the effort you put in, so it's certainly worth getting done. You may need more Tokens to get the reward you're after, though, so consider finishing some more duties like mining for square Gems, chatting with a curious young villager, and digging up a root vegetable with many eyes.

Roblox Absolvement races are relatively balanced against each other and all of them can be good. However, there are still more flexible and better race options for a wider variety of builds and some just offer better buffs or more forgiving debuffs. Here's my Absolvement race tier list and guide.

All Absolvement Races Ranked

Since the testing period, Roblox Absolvement race usefulness and power is determined by how flexible and powerful their buffs are for different builds. Also, how forgiving or negligible their debuffs are. They are mostly balanced out on paper, but in reality some are just better for a wider variety of builds. That's why I personally don't prefer Harmonite because you can't make interesting builds around them since they're a jack-of-all-trades master-of-none. Let's dive into ranking explanations and mini-guides for each race.

Best Race in Absolvement - Quick Guide
Above we go in detail for every race in Absolvement but if you just want a quick run down of the best races here's one:
How to Change Race in Absolvement
Unfortunately, you cannot change your race in Absolvement after character creation. Once you lock in your choice when making your character for each slot, you cannot change it in-game. That's why I would consider the tier list above and all the race options depending on what you want to build. If you want to build Shadow go Voidtouched, for Poison go Aranae, for general usefulness go Cragg or Katiyr, etc.
That's it for our Absolvement Race tier list and guide. Stay tuned to our Absolvement Codes page for upcoming free goodies on launch.

For the next few days, trainers in Pokémon Go have the chance to take part in another time-limited event, with this one being themed around Team GO Rocket and Shadow Raids, which from now on will be remotely raidable forever.
On top of the debut of Shiny Dilage, there are a host of research tasks and other things to do before the event ends on May 18, midnight local time, including fighting Team Go Rocket, which will appear more frequently at Pokéstops and in balloons. You can also use Charged TM to help a Shadow Pokémon forget Frustration during this event window, giving it another move with all of the Shadow Pokémon benefits.
Here is a full list of all the new stuff you can look forward to seeing this time around.

Destructoid, I am getting pretty sick and tired of these supposed rumors that keep creeping out of the woodwork when it comes to new Pokémon games. It feels like every day, something is 'leaking' regarding a new generation, with a new charmander evolution rumor swirling around social media.
For those who haven't been keeping track of this supposed rumor, a new Gen 10 'leak' surfaced online late last week that claimed, among other things, that Charmander was getting a new Ground-type form. Since then, I haven't been able to go on Twitter or YouTube without seeing someone covering it as if it's legitimate news, to the point I had to write this article to get some stuff off my chest.
According to this supposed leak, the Charmander appears in games called Pokémon Gales & Tides and is a new regional form known as Gigaxis. Pokémon can change their types and forms, with Charmander using this supposed method. The new Charmander apparently has two tails and a bunch of other zany stuff that makes me question what's even real anymore.
Now, let's all be honest. Game Freak loves to milk Charmander and Charizard to the best of its ability. It's practically in every game or the first major Pokémon you can fight in raids, or what have you. As I eye Mega Charizard X and Y, Gigantamax Charizard, etc. So, do I doubt that Game Freak would look to do something new with Charmander in the next generation of games, considering its popularity and Game Freak's obsession with it?
Absolutely not.
It's more the convoluted method in which this new Charmander supposedly exists that is making my head spin. Not the mention the literally oceans worth of supposed leaks and rumors we get about each and every confirmed and non-Pokémon game over the years that social media eats up to stay relevant and gaslight its fans again and again. So while I doubt these new 'leaks' and evolution rumors are real—what do you think?
Let me know if you share my thoughts in the comments below, or have some copium all this could somehow be real.

Helldivers 2's Galactic Emergency update introduced the Illuminate invasion, but you also get better arsenal management in the form of weapon customization.
The weapon customization is fairly straightforward, and it opens a host of new options when it comes to your loadout. This guide will highlight all the important steps you'll have to perform, and how to make the most of them.
Table of contents
Helldivers 2 weapon customization guide
You can customize and modify almost any primary gun in Helldivers 2 and add new attachments. Equip your primary weapon, and start earning XP (more on that later). Your weapon will level up as it gains XP. Once a round is over, go back to the armory and select that weapon.
![]()
Press the L3/LS to bring up the customization menu. You'll find a set of attachments that can be purchased with the help of Requisition Slips. Every attachment has its own defined way of affecting gameplay and determines how the weapons work.
As of writing, you can customize only primary weapons, and there are still some restrictions on them. I am hopeful more weapons will be added to the list of customizable options.
How to level up your weapons in Helldivers 2?
The level-up system for your primary weapons is slightly strange. You'll have to complete missions to gain XP, and it doesn't matter how much or how less you're using your primary weapons. The only experience points you can earn are from completing the missions. To earn more XP, complete as many secondary objectives as possible. The highest amount of XP can be earned if you manage to successfully extract yourself, so that should be your primary focus.

Helldivers 2 weapon stats explained
It's important to understand what a particular stat means before you can add attachments to a gun.
Always try to use attachments that remove one or more of the negative factors of a weapon, or solidify a positive stat to make the gun more powerful.
