Enough time has passed, and enough disappointment endured, that all I can remember of the Timesplitters series is a map's worth of landmine-throwing monkeys. It's possible this is an actual traumatic event from my youth, warped into a harmless videogame anecdote by years of cold water therapy and hypnosis.

We'll find out on November 23rd, when Cinder Interactive release TimeSplitters Rewind - a fan revival project that stirs together modes, maps, and story material from all three original TimeSplitters games. Oh look, they've published a trailer. Let's have a watch and see if it dredges up any additional explosive, hairy, hooting memories.

It is more than commonplace these days for games to get some kind of delay, in fact it's surprising when the big boy names don't get one, like, say, GTA 6, which was meant to be out this year, but got pushed to 2026. But it's rare that most games take more than 13 years to develop, an amount of time which retrofuture moonbase horror game Routine did in fact take. Except now its release is right around the corner!

If you miss the original Dark Souls as much as you do the mottled grass textures of Hyrule Field, you will perhaps enjoy Mouseward, which is available now in pre-alpha form. It's a "soulslike collectathon" from the people behind Void Sols, which Katharine (RPS in peace) found to be "an atmospheric and highly customisable Soulslike for people who are rubbish at Soulslikes". Mouseward seems similarly forgiving, for all its grim talk of death being "a lesson, not an end".

Let's get the hot potato out of the way without preamble: Embark's extraction shooter Arc Raiders doesn't include any gun models generated from Youtube videos, executive producer Aleksander Grøndal has told RPS in an interview about the game's usage of generative AI and machine learning technologies.

This clarification follows the partial online publication of an Edge magazine interview in which Embark CEO Patrick Söderlund made various claims for the studio's in-house tech, including the suggestion that the developers "can take a video from YouTube, feed it through our tools and pipelines, and [produce] a 3D model of the weapon you had in that video." According to Grøndal, this particular technology is not actually used in Arc Raiders. "That's a research project, and that's not something that we're using in the game now," he told me over a video call this Monday, following a sprawling and generally enjoyable hands-on.

Pac-Man Balloon Confirmed for Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade 2025

Bandai Namco and Macy's announced that the 99th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which takes place on November 27, 2025, will feature a Pac-Man balloon for the first time. It is, in part, designed to celebrate the character's 45th anniversary. There's no word exactly when he'll appear during the parade, but the show will start at 8:30am local time on NBC.

This version of Pac-Man is based on his Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac release, which appeared on the Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC in September 2025. He's wearing his red shoes and orange gloves, and he holds a cherry in his right hand.

Here's the preliminary art for the Pac-Man Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade 2025 balloon. That confirmed he'll be 40 feet long, almost 39 feet wide, and 37 feet tall.

This marks the third video game-themed balloon in the 2025 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Eevee and Pikachu Pokemon one showed up first in 2021. A new Super Mario one is debuting in the 2025 parade in honor of the Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 remasters and upcoming movie.

Macy's official site for the parade still only notes 32 balloons as being present. It doesn't show the Pac-Man balloon yet.

The Macy's 2025 Thanksgiving Day Parade will take place on November 27, 2025.

Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake Review

I was somewhat surprised when Square Enix announced it would give Dragon Quest III the HD-2D Remake treatment before the first two games. In a series where connections between installments are often loose at best, the first three entries have a surprisingly tightly-woven narrative. Rereleasing them out of order felt rather strange, even if it fit the in-game chronology. Aside from story concerns, the first two Dragon Quest games are significantly simpler affairs than the third. Would people really be satisfied going back to Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake after experiencing the third?

Part of my assumption rested on the idea that Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake would handle things in a similar manner as the third. While that game featured a number of small additions, it mostly stuck to the proverbial script. Had Square Enix done the same with the first two, I'm not sure how I would be feeling about the whole thing. That's not what the company did, however. No, it took the word "remake" very seriously with Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake. Even if you've played these games, you haven't played these versions.

Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake - Battle Scene
Screenshot by Siliconera

Square Enix gave the two games a similar treatment to Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake in terms of presentation. The lovely HD-2D graphics, the sumptuous symphonic soundtracks, hefty voice acting, and easy-to-use interface with plenty of quality of life features buff the appeal of these classics. The maps have new secret spots and stashes to seek out, giving you an extra incentive to explore them fully. You can choose from a selection of difficulty settings, and there are a number of assists you can make use of should you so desire. This is more or less what you would expect from this release if you played Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, though.

When you start the game up, you can choose which of the two you want to play. I would advise starting with the first, but if you want to jump ahead you can do so. Should you begin with the original game, it doesn't take long for it to show off its differences from previous releases. There are new characters and sub-quests, and the overall progression is more linear thanks to some adjustments to the world map. It goes a lot easier on the player initially, but heats up quite a bit more in the long run. There are tons of monsters in the game that were not there originally, and you'll have to deal with groups of them despite being a party of one. Luckily, you get a lot of new gear, abilities, and magic to help even the odds.

Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake - Exploring
Screenshot by Siliconera

The second game feels even further expanded, particularly with regards to its story. There's even an entirely new party member who largely manages to avoid feeling too shoehorned-in. Early though Dragon Quest II may have been in the history of the genre, it packs a lot more meat on its bones than the first game. This remake takes full advantage of that, and the results are impressive. It's like every bit of terse storytelling from the original work has been fully fleshed out, and all of the implied pathos is now quite explicit. I don't think anyone would confuse this remake of Dragon Quest II for a modern RPG, but you'd be hard-pressed to finger this as being based on a 1987 game if you didn't already know.

On top of that, Square Enix has honored its intention to make the new release order work in a narrative sense. Dragon Quest III served as the original climax of the trilogy, with an exciting conclusion that tied the three games together. It's now Dragon Quest II's job to see the trilogy's story off, and things have been reworked to make it the grand conclusion it needs to be. Some of the original identity of the game is lost in that process, but I think it makes sense for this project. In a lot of ways, Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake is an ideal outcome for a remake. The original games are still out there, but this release offers such different takes on both that it's more than worthy to stand alongside them.

Hololive and Holostars Vtubers Will Start Streaming on Twitch for Holoday

Cover and Twitch announced that there will be a Holoday event involving Hololive and Holostars Vtubers on November 20, 2025. 16 members of the company from the English and Indonesian branches will take part. Official Twitch accounts were shared for all participating members. The companies also noted that, during that day, people who watch and take part can get an emote of Motoaki "Yagoo" Tanigo.

Here's a full list of all the people who will participate, organized by division. We may see some stream there, in addition to their usual ones on places like YouTube or Bilibili, ahead of the event.

The full event will take place all day on November 20, 2025. The front page of Twitch will also feature all the Hololive and Holostars Vtubers taking part.

This comes after multiple incidents involving staff at TwitchCon 2025 not performing duties as expected regarding both streamers and Vtubers. Following the event, Emiru explained she was assaulted at the event and security did not respond, with people sharing videos online of the incident and Emiru's own security member responding to the incident. Twitch staff also threw out gifts fans brought for Ironmouse and other Vtubers like Henya the Genius, mistaking them for trash, and Vtubers like Chibidoki and PiaPi had issues with getting in and having a meet and greet cut short in Chibidoki's case. Twitch CEO Dan Clancy addressed the Emiru incident and accessibility after the fact and promised updates.

The Twitch x Hololive and Holostars Holoday event will be held on November 20, 2025.

Danganronpa Characters Join Still Waiting for You Figure Collection

Bandai Namco has a series of gashapon figures in capsule machines in Japan called "Still Waiting for You" (Machiboke) that features original characters and ones from famous IP, and Danganronpa 2 is about to join that lineup. The five-figure collection is already available on Gashapon Online ahead of a debut in machines in Japan, and ones ordered from there arrive in February 2026. As this series of figures do end up appearing in Bandai Namco Gashapon storefronts worldwide, since it happened with the Inuyasha and Kinnikuman ones, we should see these in the US and Canada eventually too. For example, the Danganronpa 1 and 2 Reload Capsule Rubber Mascot keychains appeared everywhere.

Each of the characters in the Still Waiting for You Danganronpa 2 figure line is about an inch and a half tall (four centimeters). They are posed in such a way that they are sitting with their hands holding their knees, looking up at a person and waiting for them to respond or notice them. There are five possible options to randomly get, and there's no "secret" character.

Here's the list of options:

  • Chiaki Nanami
  • Hajime Hinata
  • Mikan Tsumiki
  • Monokuma
  • Nagito Komaeda

And here's a better look at the promotional image for them:

In addition to this, other new Danganronpa 2 character merchandise appeared in Japan. Village Vanguard offered a new collection with original designs.

This also happens ahead of Danganronpa 2 x 2. That's the Switch and Switch 2 remake of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. A new Monokuma voice actress was even revealed for that already.

The Still Waiting for You Danganronpa 2 figures are in Gashapon Online in Japan and are scheduled to ship in February 2026. They will also appear in capsule machines.

A character fighting in Duet Night Abyss

Duet Night Abyss has a different take on the typical gacha model when it comes to unlocking new characters.

While the roster at global launch is fairly robust, you don't have to rely on your luck to unlock new characters. Every character and weapon inside the game can be obtained by playing and completing certain tasks, without ever having to rely on a banner. We'll highlight the complete process and remove any confusion you might have.

How to get more characters in Duet Night Abyss

Some characters, like Margie, are available for free in Duet Night Abyss. When I say free, I mean you don't have to do much to obtain them. Just play the main story, and you'll eventually unlock them. Here's a list of characters currently available from this method.

  • Berenica
  • Daphne
  • Lisbell
  • Margie
  • Outsider
  • Truffle & Filbert
  • Rebecca

As you might have wondered, there are more characters, and unlocking them will require the completion of a few more steps. You'll have to find something called Thoughts to unlock characters that you want, but getting the resource requires you to complete a fair number of steps, starting with finding Secret Letter Clues.

How to get Secret Letter Clues in Duet Night Abyss

Secret Letter Clues are pretty easy to get, and they come from different sources. These clues are then used to purchase character-specific Secret Letters.

  • You can gain 15 Clues daily by completing the Daily Commissions.
  • You can gain more from opening chests and finishing side quests.
  • Completing achievements also gets you extra clues, while you can get more from participating in various events.

Secret Letters in Duet Night Abyss
Screenshot by Pan Studio

To get the Secret Letters, you'll have to go to the Covert Commissions tab from the Shop. While you'll find the Secret Letters for most characters in this section, some are locked behind Nocturnal Echoes and Immersive Theater. These are endgame modes in Duet Night Abyss, so worry about them later.

How to Covert Commissions work in Duet Night Abyss

Covert Commissions are unlocked fairly early in Duet Night Abyss by completing missions on the main campaign. Once unlocked, you'll find them in the Combat Menu (not to be confused with the tab in the Shop). You can complete them to choose between three rewards (based on your chosen Secret Letter).

  • Bronze Tier rewards you with Character EXP materials
  • Silver Tier rewards you with two Thoughts
  • Gold Tier rewards you with ten Thoughts

You can complete Covert Commission either solo or with your friends.

How to use Thoughts in Duet Night Abyss

Once you have 30 Thoughts, select a character that you want to unlock. Go to the Armoury screen to complete the process. If you have more than 30 Thoughts, you can use them to get Intron bonuses, which is Duet Night Abyss' equivalent of character dupes.

ARC Raiders Key Art

While I'm still not entirely sold on the extraction shooter genre for my gaming tastes specifically, I think that everything I've experienced with ARC Raiders has sold me on its potential and helps me fully understand the hype.

Last week, I participated in an invite-only playtest for the highly anticipated new title featuring content creators and other members of the media after being shown a special presentation by the game's devs at Embark Studios. We got a sampling of a lot that the full game has to offer, including a new map for the first time.

Beautiful and deadly. Screenshot by Destructoid

After playing through existing maps Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport, and Buried City, Embark Studios gave all of us in the playtest some endgame gear to take into the newest map yet, The Blue Gate. The top-tier gear felt like a necessity to compete in this region, where the stunning vistas are laden with endgame loot and endgame enemies.

The Blue Gate is simply gorgeous. The new location is a wide open, lush green countryside, filled with massive open areas and sprinkled with smaller buildings and POIs in between for loot and engagements with other players or AI enemies. Coupled with how highly optimized ARC Raiders feels in general on basically any standard 2025 gaming PC, the lighting and detail in the environment felt like a feat to witness.

When I first spawned into the area with my special ARC-specific launcher called the Hullcracker (needed to deal any damage to most of the heavily-armored robot enemies in the area), I found a lemon tree with lemons strewn about the area. You can kick the tree, spawning more lemons, and those can be consumed to give a small amount of stamina, which is important, especially when wearing a Heavy Shield that slows down your movement and drains your stamina quickly.

With time in the playtest running out and our inventories packed, myself and two other members of games media sought out conflict with our top-tier gear and found it pretty quickly in the form of two full teams of content creators working together using in-game VOIP. In a six-versus-three battle, we pretty quickly got destroyed, but the dangerous ARCs in the area sussed out the noise and created some problems for them as we were sent back to the lobby. You'll likely find myself and team getting taken out if you peruse new YouTube videos hitting the web at the same time this article goes live.

The Blue Gate ARC Raiders tactical overhead map

What I found most important from the few hours of playtime and demo from Embark is that ARC Raiders feels like it's going to be an evolving game, and one that likely won't be reviewable at launch because of it. In the presentation, Embark teased that it wants players "to participate in the expansion of the world itself," and to "continuously update and keep the experience fresh," and this feels like a core part of the game and its future. The Blue Gate is the start of it all.

What may be the first step of that world expansion is called Stella Montis, a location in the mountains north of The Blue Gate, which the devs said can be discovered via exploration of the underground network of tunnels around Speranza. To me, it sounds like the studio is teasing a new locale that will be unlocked for all players once it's discovered through The Blue Gate, akin to a new story beat unlocking when players complete a raid in a game like Destiny 2. If The Blue Gate is endgame, then Stella Montis may be considered post-game or something different entirely.

I wish I could've found out more, but questions were not allowed during this presentation as it was centered around gameplay, which is something that most players are already sold on. But the mountain that towers over the map teases whatever lies in the future, and that's enough to excite gamers for now.

ARC Raiders Blue Gate map
Screenshot by Destructoid

The Blue Gate feels like ARC Raiders' first of many "endgame" style areas, where you want to be fully geared up before entering, lest you get shredded by the ARCs and Raiders in the area that are looking to farm you for gear (or, in my case, YouTube content). And in an extraction shooter, it's all about that risk and reward when it comes to deploying into The Blue Gate and maps like it.

ARC Raiders launches on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S tomorrow, but that sounds like only just the beginning for what feels like a game that could have some serious legs.

Poe walking around the Ante Chamber stage in Vampire Survivors

Vampire Survivors now has a Balatro collaboration in the form of the free Ante Chamber DLC. The 1.14 game update introduced this addition seemingly out of nowhere with four new characters, four extra weapons, and a Special stage.

While the Ante Chamber DLC is free, you need to find and buy the Joker Disk to unlock and play it. You can buy it for 50,000 Gold Coins from Xanthia in the Moongolow Bonus Stage. For casual Vampire Survivors players or those returning to the game after a long time, that means you might need some extra steps to unlock the Balatro DLC.

If Moongolow isn't in your list of stages, you need to first unlock Hyper Mode for four out of the five normal stages (Mad Forest, Invalid Library, Dairy Plant, Gallo Tower, or Capella Magna). This involves defeating the mini-boss that spawns at the 25-minute mark in each stage. Once you do it, you'll see Moongolow in the Stage Selection window under Il Molise with an exclamation mark next to it.

Enter Moongolow and move towards Xanthia. You can see their location on the map marked by a mask with a blue flame around it, as shown in the image below. Once you approach them, a window will pop up to let you buy the Joker Disk for 50,000 Gold Coins.

Go to Xanthia to unlock the Balatro DLC. Screenshot and editing by Destructoid.

After you acquire the Joker Disk, you can conclude your run to see the Ante Chamber unlocked after you leave it. Unlike paid DLCs, Ante Chamber is a Special Stage, not an Adventure. You will find it in the Stage Selection menu from the standard Start button on the main screen of Vampire Survivors.

The Ante Chamber is themed after Balatro. Your character will walk over the card game's interface, with buttons serving as walls and barriers, and cards serving as bridges. I highly recommend you work towards the question mark on the map in your first run so you can unlock Jimbo, one of the four new characters from the DLC.

Chicot using Balatro-themed weapons in the Vampire Survivors DLC Ante Chamber

The free Vampire Survivors DLC Ante Chamber brought four weapons, one passive item, and four weapon evolutions never seen before in the game. They're all themed after Balatro, the theme of this free update, and can be unlocked by playing the Ante Chamber Special Stage.

To get and evolve an Ante Chamber DLC weapon, you must unlock it first. For example, it's impossible to evolve Infernolatro in your first run as Jimbo. You need to start by getting this weapon to level six, which will make it available to all characters and let you evolve it into NaneInferno in a future run.

The achievements window in Vampire Survivors showing the Balatro achievements
All the unlocks in Ante Chamber. Screenshot by Destructoid

These weapons and evolutions are initially tied to the Ante Chamber stage, so you buy a Joker Disc in Moongolow and unlock it to explore the combos. Once you do it, follow all the recipes in this guide while playing this Special Stage.

Every weapon combo in the Ante Chamber DLC

For every weapon combo, you need the Outer Saboteur item on level nine, which is its max level, and a chest to open for a chance to trigger the evolution. Every run in the Ante Chamber starts with Outer Saboteur in your inventory, so you only need to find the Base Weapons for the combo.

Base Weapon Passive Item Evolution Effect
Infernolatro Outer Saboteur NaneInferno Adds a second zone. Zone effects multiply when combined
Fibonacci Spritz Outer Saboteur Royal Flush Has a 55-percent chance to fire 1, 2, 3, or 5 other weapons.
Gros Michel Outer Saboteur Cavendish Always crits. Always explodes. Other weapons crit more often.
Celestial Booster Outer Saboteur Negative Space Reveals secret planets. Planets occasionally turn negative.

I evolved all the weapons in a single run in the Ante Chamber. So, as long as you have Outer Saboteur on max level, it will let you evolve all the other Base Weapons regardless of whether you have already evolved one of them in the same attempt.

Each weapon evolution is also tied to a character unlock as follows:

  • NaneInferno unlocks Canio
  • Royal Flush unlocks Chicot
  • Cavendish unlocks Perkeo
  • Negative Space gives you 77,777 Gold Coins the first time.

EOD Bot in Battlefield 6

Battlefield REDSEC has plenty of ways for you to mount a comeback, which allows you to redeploy your party members once they're dead.

The system in place in REDSEC is entirely different from other battle royales. For some, this system will feel better. For others, it could appear too overpowered. Either way, this guide will help you learn how to bring back your dead teammates.

How to redeploy in Battlefield REDSEC

To redeploy your dead allies, you don't have to pick up anything from their corpses. Infact, you can be on a completely other part of the map from them and still bring them back to the action quite easily. You'll need to reach a redeployment station.

These stations are located at specific locations on the map and marked by a parachute icon. You'll just have to reach the marked spot to activate the redeployment process. Having more members of your party on the spot will make the redeployment process faster. You don't require any extra items or press any buttons. Just wait for the process to complete, and your buddy will be back in action.

Battlefield 6 soldier
Image via EA

As cool as it sounds, redeployment towers are dangerous locations. Enemy units will be aware of the locations as well, and some of them could camp to take an advantage. So you should always scout your surroundings before venturing out to revive your buddies.

An automatic redeployment system is also available in Battlefield REDSEC. This works at the start of the game and reduces the need for you to reach the redeployment tower. If your allies are down, you just need to survive till the timer is over. While this method is comparatively safer, it's only active during the early rounds.

complete rogue piece tier list of everything in the game

Wondering about the best sword or race in Rogue Piece? There are a bunch of customization options to consider when making a build. I'm here to rank them all so you'll be able to read about the best races, swords, specs, fruits, powers, traits and equipment. Here's my ultimate early-mid-late and PVP/PVE Rogue Piece tier list for everything in the game.

Rogue Piece Sword, Spec and Fruit Tier List

rogue piece tier list of swords, fruits and combat specs

This Rogue Piece tier list will dive into the three main build options which are Combat Specs, Fruits and Swords. I'll also give you the locations of all of these and the best equipment and race to use (there's also a race tier list below). I ranked them for PVP and PVE while keeping how good they are early-mid-late game. SSS is the overall meta with the highest DPS with S being a close second. A-Tiers are great alternatives while B-Tiers are good for PVE farming. Lastly, C are early game options and D-Tier are unusable.

Note: This tier list is up-to-date for the Aizen/Shanks patch. I'll update it with new stuff as they come out.

SSS-Tier Swords, Specs & Fruits

SSS-Tier Why SSS-Tier? Location

Sukuna
Combat Spec/Special
Scales With Power
• Sukuna and Aizen are about evenly matched but I prefer Sukuna even though it has lower burst damage because it has better combos
• The light combos with Sukuna are some of the best in the game since the M1 is so good and has range
• Plus you get good range on all of your abilities, they're fast and have lower CD than Aizen
• You have amazing AOE and damage for PVE farming and the moves can be pretty good in PVP too
• Plus that cutscene deals 20k+ damage on max stats with B/A Power

• Goes best with Aizen's Outfit/Akaza Beads and Demon race

Windmill Village
Sukuna Teacher
On a hill

Aizen
Combat Spec/Special
Scales With Power
• On the other hand Aizen overall does more burst damage with his moves but the CDs are longer than Sukuna
• Still it's the highest damage in the game so you'll have no trouble with bosses, PVE farming and PVP
• Your range is lower than Sukuna but you have a mobility teleport multi-hit move
• Plus, the black coffin is massive AOE damage

• Goes best with Aizen's Outfit/Akaza Beads and Demon race

Huecomundo
Aizen Teacher

S-Tier Swords, Specs & Fruits

S-Tier Why S-Tier? Location

Akaza
Combat Spec/Special
Scales With Power
• Akaza has some of the best M1s in terms of combat specs and overall his moves deal really good damage
• Plus they are all low cooldown so the DPS stacks up quite fast
• That said the range is low so you'll struggle a bit in PVP if you don't have good movement or you get kited
• That's why I prefer Aizen or Sukuna but don't get me wrong, Akaza is still the top 3 DPS option in the game

• Goes best with Aizen's Outfit/Akaza Beads and Demon race

Throne Isle
Akaza Teacher

Dual Daggers
Sword
Scales With Sword
• Easily the best Sword in the entire game with DPS that can compete with Combat Specs which are usually the highest DPS in the game
• SJW Daggers give you a lot of flexibility since you have high damage, high DPS, good M1s but also good mobility
• X is such a great move for PVP to get better mobility and is also decent for PVE
• You can easily solo bosses with these just make sure you have the recommended loadout below

• Goes best with Reaper Clothes and Arrancar race

Rogue Town
Dual Dagger Seller

A-Tier Swords, Specs & Fruits

A-Tier Why A-Tier? Location

Zangetsu
Sword
Scales With Sword
• Great AOE damage and range for PVE farming and great for bosses
• The moves are a bit slow for PVP though
• That said it's got the most damage per move rotation

• Goes best with Reaper Clothes and Arrancar race

Rogue Town
Zangetsu Gacha NPC

Gryphon
Sword
Scales With Sword
• Only two moves but they're really fast
• Z can deal a fast burst of 10k damage with good Sword Stats and deals more damage than Dark Blade/Yoru Z
• X has longer iFrames than Dark Blade X
• Great for PVP due to speed and also early-mid-late game farming

• Goes best with Reaper Clothes and Arrancar race

Whispering Jungle
Just walk straight ahead from the mob Quest NPC

Light
Fruit
Scales With Power
• The best Fruit/Power in the game both in terms of DPS and mobility
• You get really good AOE DPS moves to complement Combat Specs
• You also have the best mobility move in the entire game with F allowing you to both move fast and reposition in PVP
• It's got worse DPS than Combat Specs and Swords but it's still a good backup to have when your Spec skills are on CD

• Goes best with Aizen's Outfit/Akaza Beads and Demon race

Rogue Town
Fruit Gacha NPC
2% chance to drop

B-Tier Swords, Specs & Fruits

B-Tier Why B-Tier? Location

Dark Blade
Sword
Scales With Sword
• I'm comparing it to Gryphon and it deals lower damage than G's Z but higher damage with X though the iFrames are shorter
• The iFrames are really good to exploit in PVP but overall Dark Blade is just a little bit worse end-game than Gryphon so I put it in B
• Dark Blade is still the best weapon to rush early to mid game for farming but Zangetsu and SJW Daggers are better for end-game bosses

• Goes best with Reaper Clothes and Arrancar race

Glacier Ice
On the little ice hill next to Mihawk's Quest NPC

Tanjiro's Nichirin
Sword
Scales With Sword
• Tanjiro's sword has more moves than Dark Blade and Gryphon but they are slower and more awkward to land
• Still if you manage to pull out the entire rotation including the cutscene you are dealing more DPS
• But in practice Dark Blade and Gryphon are better because they are faster, especially in PVP
• So overall Tanjiro can sometimes be better for bosses but I wouldn't really get it since Dark Blade/Gryph are better mid-game and Zangetsu/SJW are better late-game

• Goes best with Reaper Clothes and Arrancar race

Forge Isle
Tanjiro's Seller

Blood
Power
Scales With Power
• Light is better but Blood is still a great alternative for PVE farming
• It's better than Gravity in terms of DPS for bosses even though Gravity has better range and AOE
• You also get a movement skill similar to Light with F but slower

• Goes best with Aizen's Outfit/Akaza Beads and Demon race

Rogue Town
Fruit Gacha NPC
5% chance to drop

Sandevistan
Combat Spec/Special
Scales With Power
• The Sandevistan is by far the worst combat spec but when compared to other Powers/Swords it's similar to Tanjiro's Sword
• You get more moves than Swords but they are all a bit slow and deal low DPS
• This can be good mid game for farming but I would overall just farm towards any of the other Combat Specs
• For example, the speed boost is cool but Akaza gets almost 3 times better speed on the final move and much higher DPS
• Sandevistan needs a buff badly

• Goes best with Aizen's Outfit/Akaza Beads and Demon race

Rogue Town
David NPC
He's at the back of the island on a hill next to the water

C-Tier Swords, Specs & Fruits

C-Tier Why C-Tier? Location

Dual Katana
Sword
Scales With Sword
• The best early game farming tool for PVE that you should rush ASAP
• Swords are the best farming tools in general and this is the first one you should get after Katana
• It's really easy to get if you claim all the codes and farm a little
• That said it gets out-DPS-ed by all swords later on
Sandora Island/Desert Island
Between the houses and the tower near the island's port

Katana
Sword
Scales With Sword
• The first Sword you'll get and what you'll use to farm for Dual Katana
• Everyone should start with a Katana to farm other stuff really fast and then you can respec later if you want to use Power-scaling stuff
Starting Island
Near where you originally spawn

Gravity
Fruit
Scales With Power
• Overall Gravity does have good AOE and range but the DPS is simply worse than Blood and Light
• So there's not much point using it other than early game farming if you get lucky and get it
Rogue Town
Fruit Gacha NPC
5% chance to drop

Combat
Melee/Fist
Scales With Strength
• This are your starting fists that you spawn in with
• The only thing that scales with Strength in the entire game for now
• Basically they're better than nothing and have more DPS than some Fruits but there's no real point in using them since you have no moves
• Still, it's funny how this can out-DPS low-Tier, Fruits and some early-game Swords if you get A Strength
You spawn with this

D-Tier Swords, Specs & Fruits

D-Tier Why D-Tier? Location

Quake
Fruit
Scales With Power
• Quake is better than Bomb but it's still not the best since your moves are slow and don't deal that much damage
• The only good thing is C which is a massive AOE for PVE farming but only for mobs and not bosses and it's on an incredibly high CD
• Just use Blood or Light
Rogue Town
Fruit Gacha NPC
30% chance to drop

Bomb
Fruit
Scales With Power
• Never use this
• Just use Swords to farm either better Fruits or Combat Specs if you want to build Power and then respec
Rogue Town
Fruit Gacha NPC
50% chance to drop

Rogue Piece Race Tier List

rogue piece race tier list best races

The best race in Rogue Piece goes a long way to boost your DPS based on your build. You get them from Race Rerolls and for some like the Demon race you can use specific items like Muzan's Blood. The two races in S-Tier are almost equal depending on whether you're going for a Sword stat build or a Power stat build. A-Tiers are good alternatives to start the game with but late game you should always aim for S-Tiers. B-Tier is an early game option, C-Tier are almost useless and D don't give buffs.

How to Get Race Rerolls: You get them from Codes, by opening Chests and from Fishing. You can get a Fishing rod from the NPC at the starting island's docks and just AFK Fish to farm Race Rerolls (See below for recommended early-mid and late-game races).

S-Tier Races

S-Tier Races Why S-Tier Race Stats

Demon
• Demon and Arrancar are about even with Demon being for Power stat builds and Arrancar being for Sword stat builds
• That said Demon has an edge for two reasons
First: Because Combat Specs like Sukuna and Aizen scale with Power and they have the best DPS in the game
Second: If you're a Demon fighting an Arrancar, Arrancar take 25% more damage from your Power stat attacks
• This means that you'll be nuking Arrancar players and overall other races with Demon if you have A Power and Sukuna/Aizen
• So in short, Demon is the best race in the game even with the 2% instant-death chance
• Gains +25% HP
• +25% Power stat damage multiplier
• If your HP is below 25%, you have a 2% chance to instantly die

• You can use the Muzan's Blood item dropped from the Akaza Boss spawned on Throne Isle via the Boss Summoner NPC for a low chance to get this race

Arrancar
• The counterpart of Demon but for Sword builds
• The best part about this race besides the Sword damage boost are the dash iFrames
• You get a 0.3 iFrame per dash which can be really strong to avoid some AOE moves
• That said your downside is really bad against Power attacks
• Still it's the best race in the game for Sword builds
• Flash Step: Your dashes have slight iFrames
• Higher defense
• +25% Sword stat damage multiplier
• You take +25% more damage from Power stat attacks

• You can use the Hogyoku item dropped from the Aizen Boss on Huecomundo for a low chance to get this race

A-Tier Races

A-Tier Races Why A-Tier Race Stats

Celestial Dragon
• Get this race ASAP in the early and mid-game so that you can farm faster towards late game
• Once you have some high-tier gear from the tier list above, you can go for Demon or Arrancar
• This is the best race in the game early to mid/late for farming
• Gains +25% Gems
• Gain +25% EXP
• Gain +25% Money

Cyborg
• An okay race to get since the extra HP is useful but this game favors damage more so this is just an alternative to Demon and Arrancar
• That said if you don't like the debuffs, Cyborg is perfect but know that it is weaker overall
• Scales really well with high Defense
• Gains +50% Health

• You can use the Hardware Chip item dropped from the David Boss spawned on Throne Island via the Boss Summoner NPC for a low chance to get this race

B-Tier Races

B-Tier Races Why B-Tier Race Stats

Fishman
• The swimming part is useless since you'll be air-dashing everywhere anyway
• The Defense boost is nice and more useful than all the races below so it's okay if you can't get anything better
• Swims faster and has higher defense

C-Tier Races

C-Tier Races Why C-Tier Race Stats

Mink
• Overall useless but can sometimes work in your favor for PVP dodging
• That said it's not worth it and you should get a higher-tier race
• Runs faster and dashes quicker

Skypiean
• Similar to Mink where it's mostly useless but it can be good in PVP sometimes to dodge attacks or position yourself higher than your opponnet for a move
• That said it's not worth it and you should get a higher-tier race
• Can use air-jump 3 extra times

D-Tier Races

D-Tier Races Why D-Tier Race Stats

Human
• No buffs • No buffs

Rogue Piece Trait Tier List

The best traits in Rogue Piece are really simple to determine since they work as a damage multiplier so the best one is the one with the highest multiplier. In this case this is Limit Breaker but the problem is that it has a 0.1% chance to drop. You get traits from the Trait Reroll NPC in Rogue Town so try to get the best trait that you can. There's no real need for a tier list since they are arranged linearly from highest to lowest (best-to-worst) below:

  • Limit Breaker (Mythical) - Damage x1.75 - Drop Chance 0.1%
  • Shadowborn (Legendary) - Damage x1.45 - Drop Chance 0.5%
  • Strongest One (Legendary) - Damage x1.4 - Drop Chance 0.5%
  • Immortal (Epic) - Damage x1.35 - Drop Chance 2.5%
  • Maestro (Epic) - Damage x1.3 - Drop Chance 2.5%
  • Enforcement (Rare) - Damage x1.25 - Drop Chance 5%
  • Divine (Rare) - Damage x1.2 - Drop Chance 5%
  • Boosted (Uncommon) - Damage x1.1 - Drop Chance 10%
  • Basic (Common) - Damage x1.05 - Drop Chance 10%

That's it for my complete Rogue Piece tier list for swords, combat specs, fruits, powers and races. Check out our Rogue Piece codes for a fast start to the game that you can use to get your Celestial Dragon race and buy a Dual Katanas for fast farming.

A player in a spooky dress standing on a haunted island in disney dreamlight valley

A fresh event has arrived in Disney Dreamlight Valley, bringing with it lots of frightfully fun new tasks to complete. The Haunted Floating Festival is one of the trickiest events we've ever gotten, as it's entirely focused on puzzles.

This event features an array of exclusive spooky prizes, so although it can be a bit tough to navigate, the rewards are certainly worth the effort. It's also quite unlike all other events, so if any part of it has you stumped, here's a complete walkthrough for The Haunted Floating Festival event in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to complete The Haunted Floating Festival event in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To finish The Haunted Floating Festival event, you need to navigate through five unique puzzles. Not all of these puzzles are available right away, and each one has several smaller tasks to work through, so getting all of them done takes quite a while.

2 – Bat
3 – Witch Hat
4 – Cat
Terror-rific Tree puzzle Oct. 22 Offer certain items to the tree in the correct order to solve this one. Flying in front of a potion brewer's house in disney dreamlight valley

The Haunted Floating Festival has introduced an array of tricky puzzles for you to solve in Disney Dreamlight Valley. One of the trials you'll come across is the Potion Brewer's House puzzle, where you need to make a special potion.

Brewing up the right potion is a fairly tricky endeavor since you're not given much guidance. You need a very specific collection of ingredients to get this task done, so here's how to solve Potion Brewer's House puzzle for The Haunted Floating Festival in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to complete Potion Brewer's House puzzle in Disney Dreamlight Valley

You can finish the Potion Brewer's House puzzle by gathering the right ingredients and using them to brew a special potion. Start this trial by entering the Potion Brewer's House, which can be found tucked away in the corner behind the castle wall ruins on The Haunted Floating Festival island.

Once you're inside this mysterious home, you can approach and interact with the cauldron to get started. You won't know what to toss into it, though, so back out of the cauldron and search around the house for clues as to what you need to do next.

Potion Brewer's House puzzle solution Disney Dreamlight Valley

In the Potion Brewer's House, there's a book you can interact with to reveal a series of vague hints. Solving these clues reveals the ingredients you need to find and place inside the cauldron. Here are all of the hints presented in the book and what each one means.

  • "A thorny bloom of petals white" refers to Haunted White Roses.
  • "A feline fish" refers to Catfish.
  • "Two fleshless fish" refers to Haunted Skeleton Fish.
  • "A fish that is always en garde" refers to Swordfish.

How to make The Haunted Floating Festival Potion in Disney Dreamlight Valley

There are four unique ingredients you need to find for the Potion Brewer's House puzzle. Two of them can be found around The Haunted Floating Festival island, while the other two require you to return to the regular valley. Here are all of the items you need and where to find each one.

  • One Haunted White Rose

    • Can be found growing on the ground all around the Haunted Mansion on The Haunted Floating Festival island. You might have some leftover from working on the Terror-rific Tree puzzle.

  • One Catfish

    • You can find this Fish in gold bubble spots around the Peaceful Meadow biome. Moana's Boat can also have some already caught Catfish for you to grab.

  • Two Haunted Skeleton Fish

  • One Swordfish

    • Can be caught by fishing out of gold ripple spots around Dazzle Beach. You can also check Moana's Boat to see if she's caught any for you to grab.

Once you have all of the required ingredients, head back inside the Potion Brewer's House, interact with the cauldron, and toss them in. Completing this task unlocks a special event prize.

Standing by cauldron in potion house in disney dreamlight valley

The Haunted Floating Festival is perhaps the trickiest event we've ever gotten in Disney Dreamlight Valley. It's packed with complex trials for you to navigate, with one of the tougher ones asking you to track down potion ingredients.

Inside the Potion Brewer's House, a magical cauldron is waiting to be used. Only certain items can be combined to make a potion, though, so if you're stumped, here are all potion ingredient locations for the Potion Brewer's House puzzle in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Inside the Potion Brewer's House, you can find a sparkling blue book sitting on a table near the back wall. Opening this book reveals four clues for different ingredients. Here are all of the ingredients you can find, what each hint means, and where to go searching for each one.

  • "A thorny bloom of white petals" means Haunted White Roses. You can find them growing by the Haunted Mansion.
  • "A feline fish" means Catfish. You can catch them from around the Peaceful Meadow biome.
  • "Two fleshless fish" means Haunted Skeleton Fish. They can be found by Zero's grave.
  • "A fish that is always en garde" means Swordfish. You can catch them over at Dazzle Beach.

This puzzle is a bit of a weird one to tackle compared to the rest, as it's the only one that asks you to grab some items from the regular valley. Luckily, finding most of these items is fairly straightforward and doable for all players, regardless of whether you're a longtime villager or just getting started.

Haunted White Roses location in Disney Dreamlight Valley

You need just one Haunted White Rose for the potion, and up to three can be found growing around the Haunted Mansion at any given time. The Haunted Mansion is fairly close to the Coco well at the center of the island.

Be sure to circle around the entire mansion when searching for this flower, as it can spawn right in front of it, behind it, and in tucked-away corners you might not see at first. All Haunted White Roses are marked with golden sparkles, making them a bit easier to find once you know where to look. You'll also need them for the Terror-rific Tree puzzle, so be sure to grab all the flowers you come across.

Catfish location in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Catfish is a classic, regular ingredient you can find back in Dreamlight Valley. You only need one Catfish for this potion, and there are plenty of them waiting to be fished up in the Peaceful Meadow biome. Look for gold bubble spots around this area to find them.

If you're not having much luck getting the right color ripple spot to appear, fish out of all other color spots that pop up to make room for gold ones to spawn. You can also check Moana's Boat, as she might have already caught some for you.

Haunted Skeleton Fish location in Disney Dreamlight Valley

You need two Haunted Skeleton Fish to brew the potion in this puzzle. This fish can only be found on the ground by the Ghostly Zero Fox's grave. It's the same fish featured in both the Terror-rific Tree puzzle and the Ghostly Fox Critter puzzle, so there's a decent chance you already know where to get it.

If you're not sure where to look, start at the Coco well in the middle of the island. Then, turn toward the two stone statues spitting up green water. Walk down the wooden path between them, towards the Halloweentown Hall house. As soon as you reach it, turn left and proceed down the path until you find Zero's grave.

Up to three Haunted Skeleton Fish can be present at once, so there should be more than enough to grab as long as you haven't picked any up recently. If you have, you'll need to wait about 10 minutes for more to spawn.

Swordfish location in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The last ingredient you need is one Swordfish, which can be fished up around Dazzle Beach. This is the second item you need to return to Dreamlight Valley to find. They can be fished out of gold ripple spots in this area, or grabbed from Moana's Boat if she happens to catch some.

Once you have all of the ingredients you need, toss them into the massive black cauldron with bright green liquid inside the Potion Brewer's House. As soon as you do, the puzzle will be complete.

With this puzzle out of the way, you can move on to tackling other spooky endeavors in DDV. You might try working on the Combination Pillar tile puzzle, tackling some Trick-or-Treat event tasks, solving the Haunted Well puzzle, and finishing duties for the Witchful Thinking Star Path.

Sitting on ground with ghostly zero fox in disney dreamlight valley

A spooky, festive new event has arrived in Disney Dreamlight Valley, bringing with it a strange floating island packed with puzzles to tackle. One of the many challenges you'll face in The Haunted Floating Festival event is the Ghostly Critter puzzle.

This event is entirely based on solving unique trials, so this puzzle and all others you'll encounter are quite tricky. There are plenty of exclusive prizes you can claim as a reward for finishing these feats, though, so they're certainly worth doing. If this one has you stumped, here's how to solve the Ghostly Critter puzzle in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Where to find ghost Zero Fox Critter in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The Ghostly Zero Fox can be found wandering around The Haunted Floating Festival island endlessly. This Critter doesn't have a singular fixed location and instead patrols around frequently, making it a bit tough to track down. Luckily, this Ghostly Critter has a glowing blue and white appearance that generally makes it easy to spot around the otherwise dark island. This Fox is quite fast, though, so you might want to eat some food so you can glide or fly to keep up with it.

The Haunted Floating Festival Ghost Zero Fox puzzle solution in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To complete the Ghostly Critter puzzle, you need to find the Critter's favorite food and feed it to them once daily for four days in a row. This isn't a puzzle you can complete in one go, and requires patience and dedication, so here's a full breakdown of how to get it done.

  • Find the Ghostly Zero Fox Critter around The Haunted Floating Festival event island.
  • Learn what this Critter's favorite food is. There's a book you can find and read on the island that reveals its favorite food, which is Haunted Skeleton Fish.
  • Track down some Haunted Skeleton Fish. You can find this fish on the ground by Zero's grave.

  • Feed the Ghostly Zero Fox a Haunted Skeleton Fish. Repeat this step once daily for four days.
  • Collect all four Memory Shards. Each time you feed this critter, a new Memory Shard will drop. Gather all four pieces to complete the puzzle.
  • Travel to the location pictured in the completed Memory. Once finished, the Memory leads you to the Haunted Mansion Hearse.
  • Use your Royal Shovel to dig up your reward. At the Haunted Mansion Hearse, equip your Royal Shovel and use it to dig up your prize. As soon as you do, this puzzle will be complete.

The memory you piece together by completing the Ghostly Zero Fox puzzle highlights a golden, glowing dig spot on The Haunted Floating Festival island. You can find this spot right next to the hearse in front of the Haunted Mansion.

This spot appears after you've fed the fox four times to collect all four Memory Shards, so you can only go looking for it once it's complete. Digging up the spot grants you a pouch you can open to claim your reward.

Completing the Ghostly Critter puzzle unlocks the Clawed Foot Tub item as a reward. It's a furniture item from straight out of the film The Nightmare Before Christmas, where it's used by Lock, Shock, and Barrel to kidnap Sandy Claws.

There are plenty of other spooky activities to enjoy around the island once you're done tackling this puzzle. If you're not sure what to do next, consider tackling tasks in the Trick-or-Treat event like the Haunted Well puzzle or Sugar Rush. Be sure to also keep up with your Witchful Thinking Star Path event duties. There are three events running together, so it can be a lot to keep up with, but all of them are packed with prizes you don't want to miss.

Ultimate Scream promo art in FC 26

Ultimate Scream Team 2 players are coming to FC 26 Ultimate Team very soon, and you can expect some fantastic cards hidden in packs.

These cards, like Team 1, will be heavily influenced by Halloween and will get boosts on full-moon nights. So far, EA Sports has remained tight-lipped about the cards that are coming to the second team. However, we already have confirmation about the release date, and certain leaks are also likely to appear before the full launch.

FC 26 Ultimate Scream 2 release countdown

The Ultimate Team 2 cards will be available as soon as Team 1 gets removed. The new cards will be added to packs on Friday, Oct. 31. The following countdown will expire once the new cards are in packs.

[hurrytimer id="1134556"]

The countdown is based on the following timings. It's the usual routine that EA Sports follows every Friday when it comes to releasing a new batch of promo cards in packs.

  • 11am PT
  • 1pm CT
  • 2pm ET
  • 6pm UTC/BST
  • 7pm CEST

If you have stored packs in your club inventory, you can also open them to find promo cards, potentially. We should also find new promo cards as part of SBCs and objectives. Unlike items from packs, you won't have to rely on luck to find them.

FC 26 Ultimate Scream 2 players (leaks)

As of writing, we have received the first set of leaks.

  • Park Ji Sung
  • Ousmane Dembele
  • Marcus Rashford (coming as an SBC player pick)
  • Christian Pulisic (coming as SBC)
  • Mariona
  • Wesley Sneijder
  • Paulo Futre
  • Claudio Marchisio
  • Jeremie Frimpong

We should get more leaks as we get closer to the release date. We will duly add them to the guide once they appear on social media. EA Sports could also tease us with some of the upcoming cards, so look out for them as well.
