Despite any PR babble you might have heard about 2025 being the "Year of Obsidian", the studio have admitted that putting out three games in the course of 12 months isn't something they're keen to do again. Sadly, two of those games - mushroom-encusted RPG Avowed and space capitalism-encusted RPG The Outer Worlds 2 - haven't managed to hit the sales targets corporate overlords Microsoft assigned them. As it stands, Obsidian say they're keen to do more in the fantasy world of Eora, but aren't working on an Outer Worlds 3.

Videogames have given us many fascinating healing mechanics and ideas about healing, from the motley support playstyles of Overwatch to the musical cooldown management of Wild Growth, but one thing developers rarely capture is that healing is an expression of power over somebody. However kind, it has the potential to be demeaning, intrusive, even abusive.

In my experience of doctors and hospitals, healing is a competition between interpretations of sickness and injury, where the doctor has at their disposal all the crushing cultural authority and ornate vocabularies of modern medicine. The patient's own self-knowledge - amassed over years of living in and with their own flesh - risks being recast as 'amateurish'. And this is before we get into the weeds of different conceptions of bodies and how they relate, which a doctor - especially an overworked, desensitised one, fighting a wider crisis - might be inclined to dismiss as mysticism or superstition.

An Assassin's Creed designer who publicly spoke out against Ubisoft's return-to-office mandate claims the company have now fired him. Developer David Michaud-Cromp posted on LinkedIn last week that he'd been put on unpaid disciplinary leave after recently criticising the policy change on the social media platform.

If you're out of the loop, Ubisoft have recently revealed plans to push remote staff back into offices amid a bloodbath of game cancellations, restructuring and voluntary redundancies. The company intend to have employees return to working in-office five days a week, with an annual allowance of work-from-home days. All of these moves have understandably not gone down well with French unions, who've subsequently called strike action.

There's an accidental element of roleplaying to the Early Access launch of Menace, the latest turn-based tactics game from Battle Brothers developers Overhype Studios. Like the newly-minted commander of the TCRN Impetus, thrust into leadership after a warp travel accident left everyone on the bridge of the colonial navy ship violently decompressed, I too have very little idea what I'm doing.

While Menace's tutorial walks you through the basics of directing soldiers on the battlefield, there's currently little guidance to the finer details of this strategy game. I'm not going to let that get in the way, however. After all, I'm here to serve as a protecting force in the Wayback system, delivering justice to enemies of the state across its planets.

I'm going to a toddler's birthday party on Saturday and I have it on good authority from Alva's dad that there will be trays of sandwiches and a couple of cakes from M&S. There is no booze provided. I'm not sure if that's because there should be no booze consumed at a two-year-old's birthday, or only that we should bring our own. I guess I'll find out for sure if they frisk on the door. However, if Valheim's latest anniversary update is anything to go by, I am now looking forward to Alva's fifth birthday.

To mark five years in Early Access, developer Iron Gate have released an anniversary patch that is a damn sight better than the prospect of watching a sad looking Colin the Caterpillar cake getting pawed at by hungry toddlers. Preview: Mario Tennis Fever New Characters and Rackets Feel Fun

Mario Tennis Aces marked Nintendo first bringing the themed sports series to the Switch, and Mario Tennis Fever is a next step for the Switch 2. This installment marks a larger roster and an array of new Fever Rackets that involve special Fever Shots that affect the court and nature of the ball. While the four new characters I tested were fun options, the rackets made me feel like I was actually preparing for a fight thanks to the varied Fever Shots.

So first, the new characters this time around are Baby Waluigi, Baby Wario, Goomba, and Nabbit. I felt the new babies looked adorable and perfectly fit in with the existing ones like Baby Mario and Baby Peach. I felt like both Waluigi and Wario also fit in with the new focus on Fever Rackets too. Baby Waluigi is about maintaining defenses and preparing for assaults, which is handy, while Baby Wario's power nature seems like it lends itself well to things like the Spiny Racket with a huge hit. Meanwhile, the Goomba seems whimsical in the same way the Chain Chomp does. It's an all-rounder that holds the racket in its mouth and bounces the ball on its head when serving it. I also got to sample Nabbit by using the character during one match. It's fine and does feel faster on the court due to being a Speed-type character, but I did feel the other three I tested were a bit more whimsical.

As for the Fever Rackets themselves, I got to test out a handful of them when going through some doubles Mario Tennis Fever matches. As you play, a Fever Gauge fills. When you get one or two bars of it, you can unleash a special shot that involves an additional effect. Some of these felt like they were more directly offensive. The Chargin' Chuck and Spiny Rackets are two examples. Each one transforms the ball itself to make it more dangerous or difficult to hit. In the case of the former, the ball turns into footballs that move in a more unpredictable manner. The Spiny Racket turns it into spinies that are spiked and hazardous. The Flame Racket sets the ball on fire.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSyoMsWRL9I

Other Fever Rackets felt more like they are about status effect conditions. The Mud Racket puts mud splatters on the field that impair movement. Though my favorite in this session ended up being the Volcano Racket because it blended status effect with offensive attacks. It causes a volcano to appear on the opposing side of the court. This will send off occasional eruptions for a limited time. If these hit an opponent, it depletes their HP. So it limits where you can go and provides an opportunity to temporarily eliminate a person from the field for a set amount of time.

While most of my hands-on matches were dedicated to testing out the Fever Rackets in Doubles matches, I did get to test out a Wonder Court Match. During it, Trottin Piranha Plants appeared on the net for a brief period of time. When they did, the balls would occasional fly out of their mouths and Wonder Seeds would appear unexpectedly. It added some extra challenge to the round and made me wonder what other events could happen.

From my limited time with Mario Tennis Fever, it feels like the Fever Rackets and new characters could add some extra fun and whimsy to matches. Baby Waluigi and Wario each worked quite well, and I loved how the Goomba looked. As for the Fever Rackets, it really felt like their effects could make the sports game feel a bit more like a fighter, due to how someone could opt for options that would impair enemies' movements or more directly sap their HP.

Mario Tennis Fever will come to the Switch 2 on February 12, 2026.

Preview: Resident Evil Requiem Grace Sections Feel More Thoughtful

Capcom's talked a lot about how the Grace Ashcroft segments in Resident Evil Requiem are designed to feel like more classic installments' experiences and, I'd say that feels accurate after some hands-on time with the Switch 2 version. I got a chance to step into her shoes as she started to explore the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center. Even in these earliest moments, it felt like caution and thoughtful exploration proved critical to my survival.

My demo session began with Grace strapped upside-down into bed in a room at the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center, with her blood being drained for an unknown reason. After she managed to free herself in a cinematic, I was thrust right into the unknown. The space seemed dilapidated and dated, with the initial spaces offering little answers. She was trapped in part of a floor with no immediate details about how to get forward beyond needing a fuse to open a gate. There were areas that seemed wrecked, but is that due to age or something else?

As with older Resident Evil games, these initial moments in Requiem meant exploration and constant checking rewarded me with insight. One door with cherubs on it was locked. Exploring around led to a key. While there was a fuse in one room, I'd need a tool to get it. However, there was a lighter in that room that made it possible to proceed further into an area that was previously too dark to explore.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6a8gK0YdUpY

Getting there led to the revelation that yes, even in these early moments Grace is in danger in Resident Evil Requiem. After opening that door, a dead, infected doctor's corpse falls. It's immediately eaten by a hulking, monstrous beast that then turns its attention to Grace. Running leads to the revelation that those holes in the ceiling from earlier would allow that entity to "fast travel" to surprise my avatar. After running a bit, I got away. However, that hulking menace remained on the floor, and that room I hadn't gotten to explore yet held the screwdriver I'd need (and a helpful green herb) to get by.

This early experience offered a chance to see the sort of level design Capcom put into Resident Evil Requiem. The creature stalking Grace pays attention to light and sound. Using the lighter? Dangerous! Moving a cart to reach the toolbox with the screwdriver I need that's on top of a cabinet? It will make noise and the things on top of it will fall! However, there are things to help give Grace an advantage. There's a window directly beside the area where I'd need to move the cart to reach the toolbox, so I could see if my enemy was moving down the hallway to reach me in that dead-end space. Both that room and the one in which this segment started out involve spots where I could put furniture between Grace and her opponent, so a dead-end would turn into a place where I could outmaneuver it.

More importantly, this slice gave me a chance to really see how Resident Evil Requiem runs on the Switch 2. It performed so well. It was fluid, with no delays or lag. Which is critical, considering how responsiveness is the key to keeping Grace alive when she's being stalked. It looked fantastic, with the high level of detail allowing me to really appreciate how grotesque the hulking behemoth tracking my character was. The haptic feedback also felt quite appropriate. I would say that during this part, the third-person perspective felt most helpful since it was more helpful when keeping track of my enemy. But first-person view also looked good on the Switch 2.

From what I experienced, the Resident Evil Requiem Grace sections feel true to form and felt great on the Switch 2. It really makes you think and explore an area's nooks and crannies for useful items, then follow certain steps to successfully escape and progress. Meanwhile, the level design also feels executed in a way to help you stay aware of what might be around you and evade opponents. Not to mention it seemed quite responsive on Nintendo's console. Her segments seem like they could be a highlight.

Resident Evil Requiem will come to the Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam and Epic Game Store on February 27, 2026.

Preview: Super Mario Bros Wonder Switch 2 Edition Feels Made for Multiplayer

Back when Nintendo revealed the Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park upgrade pack, it noted it'd be $19.99 for the update or $79.99 for the game alone. That's a jump from the $59.99 Switch version. After spending hands-on time with the Bellabel Park area, going through both cooperative and competitive multiplayer, it feels like this is more an additional minigame collection that plays by the rules of the platformer added on to the original title.

My adventures in Bellabel Park began in the local multiplayer area going through a cooperative series of challenges that first appeared in the latest overview trailer. One series of challenges involves at least one person using the Joy-Con 2 in mouse mode to draw donut paths through a stage while at least one person uses those to race through to the goal. In our situation, there were two people on donut duty and two heading through the stage. The first challenge was a more straightforward, one-star difficulty one that was more of a test of the mechanic. (People playing as characters could choose badges to assist with traversal.) There were a limited number of donuts for each "maker" on that task, which means you need to be thoughtful about placement. Especially if you want to get additional collectibles.

In the second attempt in this Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park section, which was a two-star difficulty stage with Spikes tossing balls, things got more challenging. It wasn't just about getting the player characters to the end via strategic donut platform placement. It was also about creating paths for Spike's spiked balls to get through obstructions. It felt like the early cooperative stages were about getting used to the idea, with latter ones about troubleshooting more thought-provoking situations.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVB3hZoOF0A

The competitive sections felt a little more varied, as well as more dependent on how you'd be playing. It seemed like local options offered more variety, while the online ones I tested were more about racing through stages to be the first to get through a course. For example, one local versus stage involved the Psaro masks from Super Mario Bros 2. Two players wore masks at the start, while two didn't and would attempt to hide from or outrun the folks who were masked. While it seemed relatively simple, since we were limited to a single screen and it seemed obvious where the out-of-place "flowers" were or which clouds were flying outside of set patterns, it ended up being genuinely challenging considering the mask would swap who was "it." Another local stage involved being the one with the most coins at the end, all while a King Boo would occasionally wake from sleeping and freeze you, causing you to lose coins, if you moved when he was awake.

Meanwhile, two of the online multiplayer competitive stages I got to test out in Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park involved trying to be first through a level. In one, each person had the floating parasol and needed to navigate successfully to get through the maze-like stage first. In another, Hoppos were everywhere, and each person had to try and bounce their way through. While entertaining, in the two sample situations I experienced, they didn't feel as interactive and directly competitive as the local options. But again, I did only get to sample a handful of the total situations.

From my initial hands-on opportunities, it feels like the local Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park multiplayer options feel most exhilarating. Both the co-op and competitive options when all in a group together playing seemed to really play with what's possible with the framework of the game. The two online segments did provide an incentive to try my best. However, both of the situations I tested felt a bit similar and like they involved racing, and I'd be curious to see if the full assortment is more varied.

Super Mario Bros Wonder is on the Switch now, and the Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Parkrelease and upgrade pack debuts on March 26, 2026 alongside new amiibo.

Preview: Switch and Switch 2 Virtual Boy Feels True to Form

The Virtual Boy ended up being the one Nintendo handheld that never caught on due to a number of factors. A shame in a way, due to its unique properties and unexpected library prioritizing early 3D effects. The Switch and Switch 2 Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack return of the Virtual Boy marks an opportunity to see both its notable and unreleased titles. After going hands-on with the $99.99 peripheral and its seven launch games ahead of the February 17, 2026 debut, it feels quite faithful to the original device.

We already got an idea based on early photos, but the Switch or Switch 2 completely disappear when placed in the Virtual Boy peripheral. You don't see the console at all. There aren't many adjustments to be made when the system's Joy-Cons are removed and it's inserted into the device. You can adjust the tilt, but any other arrangements are done personally by moving closer or further once its on a table. In my situation, it was on a desk and I was seated in front of it, and the positioning and height seemed appropriate, but at home you might need to fiddle with things a bit to get things just right.

One thing I noticed is that it did seem it was easy to immediately begin playing. I did need to sit slightly back from the headset, in order to ensure everything looked proper and the 3D effect was in full-force. It ended up being an easy adjustment to make, and I found I didn't need to shift my positioning at all when swapping between games once I got situated.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVvaCe4esCQ

As for optimal experiences, there were already a few games that seemed to be the best Virtual Boy Switch and Switch 2 showpiece titles during this short session. Teleroboxer, a first-person boxing game akin to Punch-Out, is one of the best examples of balancing the 3D effect with actually offering a compelling gameplay experience. Virtual Boy Wario Land ended up being my favorite, as it's a genuinely great platformer that uses the 3D effect to show Wario moving between the foreground and background, but isn't as in your face about the perspective. Instead, it feels more like a useful gameplay mechanic. And of course 3-D Tetris does force you to think about the different dimensions as you see the pieces move in that space and adjust them from all angles to fill spots.

What I didn't expect to be as fascinated by in this session was The Mansion of Innsmouth (Innsmouth no Yakata). That's the Japan-exclusive that will appear worldwide for the first time. It involves going through a haunted, monster-infested mansion by going through mazes in the first person, searching for keys, while also either fleeing monsters or attacking them with your gun and limited ammo. Not only is there the threat of the otherworldly entities, but the timer counting down. The 3D effect worked here and, since it was the one I'd never seen before, it ended up being most mechanically fascinating as I tested out the peripheral and support. It felt a bit like early first-person RPGs, but with more of an element of desperation to get through things in time. Of all the titles I sampled, I feel like it and Virtual Boy Wario Land are the two I'd love to play more.

The Switch and Switch 2 Virtual Boy peripheral and game launch library seem like they could be quite a fitting tribute. The titles I sampled felt like a good showcase, with ones like 3-D Tetris, The Mansion of Innsmouth, Teleroboxer, and Virtual Boy Wario Land being great examples of the handheld at its best and most fascinating. The accessory itself also seems like a pretty good recreation of the device that's also easy to use. I look forward to seeing what it's like during more extended gameplay sessions.

The Virtual Boy Switch and Switch 2 NSO games and headset peripherals will appear for Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack members on February 17, 2026.

solo hunters tier list and guide

Updated on February 3, 2026: Added Werewolf Power and reranked class, weapon and power tier lists (You can now get Class Rerolls via Super Red Gates)

Making the best build in Solo Hunters is all about picking out the best class, weapon, powers, armor set and rings. Below I'll go into each category separately and rank them all with individual ranking explanations, drop locations and stats. Here's my complete Solo Hunters tier list.

Solo Hunters Class Tier List

Classes in Solo Hunters are just bonuses to stats and you can currently only get them via Class Rerolls which you can get from Super Red Gates, buy for Robux or get from codes (all codes linked at the end of the article). The best class is Tank for a Strength/Weapons build and Mage for a Magic/Power/Rune build. Below I'll explain all class stat bonuses and each class individually.

You can get your class in the Stats menu in the top right.

S-Tier Classes

S-Tier Ranking Explanation Class Stats

Tank Class
Legendary
• The best class for a Weapon build and overall the best class in the game
• This is because weapons give you more reliable DPS and less reliance on cooldowns
• Also the highest HP bonus
• Check out the best Weapons to use below in their tier list
+40% Health
+20% M1 Damage

Mage Class
Legendary
• The best class for a Power/Rune build
• Tank/Weapon builds are more reliable since for Power/Rune builds you have to farm mastery for moves to be effective whereas Weapons always have M1s
• Still Mage can be quite decent with all moves and mastery farmed but it's more for late game where AOE is more important
• Check out the best Powers/Runes to use below in their tier list
+40% Magic Damage

A-Tier Classes

A-Tier Ranking Explanation Notes

Assassin
Mythic
• Overall, going for a hybrid build is slightly weaker in terms of raw DPS than going for a single stat build
• But you get the flexibility of having both single target DPS with weapons and AOE DPS with Powers/Runes
• If you're going for a hybrid Strength/Magic stat build then Assassin is your best option
• Even if you just want weapon damage and you didn't get Tank keep Assassin since it's the second highest bonus
+20% M1 Damage
+20% Magic Damage
+20% Health

Knight
Rare
• Just a weaker version of Assassin
• Still a better option to go for Knight and a weapon build than Elf or Summoner for a Mage build
• Only good for beginner weapon builds if you cannot get Knight or Assassin
+10% M1 Damage
+10% Health
+10% Magic Damage

B-Tier Classes

B-Tier Ranking Explanation Notes

Elf
Epic
• Both Elf and Summoner are for Magic/Power/Rune builds
• Elf just gives 5% more damage but doesn't get HP
• So it's only a matter if you value that 5% more DPS over HP but overall Summoner is slightly better solo due to the HP boost
• That said Magic builds are generally weaker than weapon builds so if you want to go for Magic you should only go for it with Mage
+25% Magic Damage

Summoner
Epic
• See Elf +20% Health
+20% Magic Damage

Solo Hunters Weapon Tier List

The best weapons in Solo Hunters are the Thunder Axe for farming and Shadow Scythe and Dual Dagger for end-game. I prefer the Thunder Axe since the R skill Stormcall Throw is god-tier for AOE farming at all stages of the game. That said the other two outdamage it eventually. Below I'll dive into each weapon individually and their drop locations.

Combine with maxing Strength, Serpent/Venomspike set and the Tank class for the best DPS.

S-Tier Weapons

S-Tier Notes

Shadow Scythe
Only available at the Summon Power NPC

• Arguably the best late-game weapon in the game
• This is because of the long-range skills and mobility in the skill tree allowing you to kite end-game raids
• Cannot be grinded in dungeons since you can only get it through luck at the Summon Power station
• Deals the best damage and has two iFrame skills to clear end game gates while staying safe

Dual Dagger
Drops in Spider Cave or get from Summon Power NPC

• High S along with Scythe for end-game boss-killing
• A really flexible and fast weapon with some of the best skills in the game
• You can even pull mobs to set up for AOE damage with Powers or for your teammates
• Immortals is also a great defensive skill

Thunder Axe
Drops in Jungle

• The best weapon for farming even though it falls behind the Shadow Scythe and Daggers in the late-game
• The R is one of the best skills in the game and amazing for grinding and gives you both a ranged and an AOE option
• That said R falls off later when it can no longer one shot mobs so the Axe loses its effectiveness and falls behind Scythe and Daggers

A-Tier Weapons

A-Tier Notes

Venom Fang
Drops in Subway

• Easy to grind while having great skills and the skill tree is the same as your starting weapon
• C deals massive damage but it's short range
• Overall the damage here is great but with quite low range which is why it's A-Tier

Carmsei Katana
Drops in Desert

• I've been playing more with Carmsei and it's much better than I originally thought
• That said it's the opposite of Venom Fang having high range but lower PDS
• On par with Venom Fang and Thunder Axe in terms of raw DPS
• That said the Thunder Axe has better moves for farming

B-Tier Weapons

B-Tier Notes

King's Trident
King's Trident drops in Snow Forest

• Great range and fast cooldowns but a bit awkward to use
• That said for beginners the F skill deals a lot of damage despite its small hitbox

C-Tier Weapons

C-Tier Ranking Explanation

Link Sword
Drops in Cave

• Weakest weapon in the tier list but stronger than Demon King Daggers and Diamond Dagger

Solo Hunters Power Tier List

Overall Powers/Runes are weaker than weapons. Still, some have good damage like Werewolf or make up for DPS in long range for group raids (They're not good solo though). The best powers in Solo Hunters are Werewolf, Divine Blade and Goliath for late-game but you have to farm their mastery. Whatever power you pick, always go for the boss-killer skill first so you can farm mastery for it. Go for skills like Sword of Destiny for DB, Blackhole Crash for Goliath, Ghoulstorm Mine for Dark, etc. Let's analyze all Powers/Runes individually and see which ones are the best.

Tip #1: I recommend farming Jungle boss for mastery.

Tip #2: Max Magic Power stat, get Mage class and Astral Set for the best Power/Rune DPS.

S-Tier Powers

S-Tier Ranking Explanation

Werewolf
• The best AOE and DPS in the game with Rage up and transformation
• You have plenty of iFrame skills to dodge damage
• You even have M1s when transformed for stable DPS, canceling the usual weakness for Powers
• Overall the best Power in the game beating out Divine Blade due to M1 damage

Divine Blade
Mythic
• The best Power/Rune in terms of quick burst damage
• Sword of Destiny is a DPS nuke dealing massive damage on bosses
• The range is a bit short but the damage is god-tier
• You even get invincibility frames on all skills so you can dodge damage while DPS-ing

Goliath
Legendary
• Also short ranged like Divine Blade and less AOE but still does really impressive damage
• The best boss killer in the game after DB and WW
• You also have 2 iFrame skills to dodge boss telegraphs
• Also buffs M1s on weapons with one skill so it's a good support for a weapon build
• Overall tied for the second best Power in the game with DB

Light
Legendary
• Less DPS than the three above but it's long-ranged and does excellent AOE damage
• That said it doesn't have iFrame moves not good single-target damage so it's great for farming
• Plus it's really fast which some Powers lack

A-Tier Powers

A-Tier Ranking Explanation

Darkness
Epic
• Really strong for an Epic despite not having iFrames
• Ghoulstorm Mine is a boss killer for farming
• Plus, unlike BE and Goliath you have huge range and AOE so it's much safer in teams

Crimson
Legendary
• Great beginner Power
• Good damage even though it has low range and AOE
• Great for early farming and has an iFrame skill

B-Tier Powers

B-Tier Ranking Explanation

Nature
Epic
• One of the best beginner Powers for farming bosses and mastery
• Great damage, range and AOE for its rarity
• The first skill does the best damage with R being a close second for boss-killing
• That said it's outdamaged by higher tiers

C-Tier Powers

C-Tier Ranking Explanation

Lightning
Rare
• Wide AOE attacks but abysmally low DPS
• I wouldn't use this
• No iFrames so you can get damaged during channeling moves

Vines
Rare
• A weaker version of Lightning

Solo Hunters Armor Set Tier List

The best armor in Solo Hunters depends on if you want Melee or Magic damage. There are a bunch of options for Melee armor sets with the best ones being Serpent and Venomspike. For Magic builds the Astral set is the best. You can check out all of them, their ranking notes, stats and drop locations below.

S-Tier Armor Sets

S-Tier Ranking Explanation Stats & Drop Location

Serpent Armor Set
• The best melee damage bonus in the game with slightly higher HP than Venomspike
• This makes Serpent the best armor set in the game
• Otherwise the melee damage bonus is the same as Venomspike so you can use either if you don't care about HP
2 Piece Bonus: Gain 12% extra HP
3 Piece Bonus: +25% Melee Damage

Drops from Subway

Astral Armor Set
• The best armor in the game for Magic Power builds
• Combine with Divine Blade or Goliath Power for the best DPS
2 Piece Bonus: Gain 14% extra HP
3 Piece Bonus: +20% Magic Damage

Drops from Snow Forest

Venomspike Armor Set
• Same as Serpent except you get a bit less HP
• Otherwise just as good for optimal melee DPS
2 Piece Bonus: Gain 10% extra HP
3 Piece Bonus: +25% Melee Damage

Drops from Caves

A-Tier Armor Sets

A-Tier Ranking Explanation Stats & Drop Location

Bloodsteel Armor Set
• Both Bloodsteel and Sunforge are great alternatives to S-Tier
• It's just slightly lower stats but they're still great armor sets for melee builds
2 Piece Bonus: Gain 8% extra HP
3 Piece Bonus: +20% Melee Damage

Drops from Jungle

Sunforge Armor Set
• Same as Bloodsteel but more HP 2 Piece Bonus: Gain 15% extra HP
3 Piece Bonus: +20% Melee Damage

Drops from Spider Cave

B-Tier Armor Sets

B-Tier Ranking Explanation Stats & Drop Location

Oathkeeper Armor Set
• Massive Health boost here which is nice
• That said I would prefer the damage boost more so I put it lower in B-Tier
• The passive Burn damage is nice for beginners but in mid-to-late game the melee damage bonus gets you much more DPS
2 Piece Bonus: Gain 18% extra HP
3 Piece Bonus: Burn Passive

Drops from Desert

Iron Armor Set
• Used to be the best once it gave 50% melee damage but now it's okay for beginners after the shadow nerf
• Basically the same as all the other melee bonus sets except you don't get the HP
3 Piece Bonus: Deal 20% more melee damage

Drops from all Gates

Best Rings in Solo Hunters

The best ring in Solo Hunters like many other gear pieces depends on if you're going for a Weapon or Magic build. Here are the best rings for each build with respective drop locations and stats. Note that each ring has a Shiny version with much better stats.

Even though there is a Defense-oriented Ring category the S-Tier best options are the damage ones for either Weapons (Strength build) or Abilities (Magic Power build).

Best Ring for Each Category Ring Info
Best Melee DPS Rings Black Iron Ring
+20% Melee Damage
Drops in Desert

Wanwood Ring
+20% Melee Damage
Drops in Jungle

Best Ability DPS Rings Dark Heart Ring
+22% Ability Damage
Drops in Snow Forest

Ring of Fire V2
+21% Ability Damage
Drops in Spider Cave

Ring of Fire
+20% Ability Damage
Drops in Caves

Best Defense Rings Serpent Ring
+20% Health
Drops in Subway

Solo Hunters Best Build

The best build in Solo Hunters depends on whether you're going for a Weapon/Strength loadout or Power/Magic. Both are good in the late game but Weapons are generally more reliable with M1s while Powers are great for AOE clearing. Here's everything you need for both builds.

Best Weapon Build Best Magic Build
Weapon: Shadow Scythe or Thunder Axe
Armor: Serpent Set or Venomspike
Ring: Wanwood or Black Iron
Class: Tank
Stats: Strength 1000, Defense 600, Agility 400

Sim walking by stairs in the sims 4

In preparation for the Royalty & Legacy expansion pack, The Sims 4 has a free base game update packed with new features and bug fixes. We don't get updates very often, so when we do, they're always quite monumental and exciting.

Not all new content and changes are officially announced or highlighted in The Sims 4, so it can sometimes be tricky to discern what's new and improved. Here's everything included in the Feb. 3 update in The Sims 4.

The Sims 4 February 2026 base game update patch notes

new stairs in the sims 4
Screenshot by Destructoid

Modify railings and stairs with new settings

New stairs have arrived, bringing with them more customization than ever, thanks to the new modification tools. You can now alter whether stair railings appear on one side, both sides, or on neither side. There's also a draggable bar you can move around to change how long the railing is. Stairs that flare out at the bottom are an option now, too.

Updated family tree

Family trees are getting a much-needed update to better reflect family dynamics. With this update, it's easier to discern relationships between Sims, with many new types added, like half-siblings and step-parents. This feature has even more additions if you get the Royalty & Legacy expansion pack, which allows you to forge and research your family tree.

New and improved CAS tags

CAS tags have some new features and improvements. The Texture category for hair has been improved, allowing you to better filter to find exactly what you're looking for, especially if you want to search for two different types of texture at once. Under the Style category, an Africana theme was also added.

New nails

Purple nails the sims 4
Screenshot by Destructoid

A fresh set of nails featuring lots of muted, shiny swatches was added in this update. The base game doesn't have a whole lot of nails to choose from, and certainly none like these, so it's certainly a welcome addition.

New event

A fresh event has arrived, and it comes with plenty of new prizes to claim. Some of the rewards featured in this update include the Master of Grudges Aspiration and the Capp Library Bookcase furniture item.

Mod warnings

The patch notes for this update also come with a serious warning for all players who use mods. The family tree changes also affect genealogy and relationship data, which means they're fundamentally rewriting some core systems. Because of this, it's extra important that you take out all mods prior to the update and don't reinstall them until creators have updated or cleared them. If you don't, you may run into some serious issues, like missing relatives or the game refusing to launch.

Bug fixes

This patch also comes packed with loads of bug fixes, including one that's supposed to repair the biggest issue players have been facing recently, which is the dreaded black photo issue. Here's what's been repaired in this update.

  • Fixed an issue causing photos to turn black.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing the creation of Aliens and Mermaids to lead to the game crashing.
  • Fixed an issue that could sometimes prevent room type assignments in Build Mode.
  • Fixed a UI issue in CAS that was preventing elements from displaying for turn-ons, turn-offs, the like button, and the dislike button.
  • Fixed an issue where entering and then exiting Build Mode during Scenarios would cause the UI to vanish or the game to become unresponsive.
  • Upgraded vacuums will now work in the Off the Grid Lot type.
  • Some nails that were causing issues, like making the Sim appear shiny, have been fixed.

We've listed all the biggest bug fixes here, but if you want to check out even more, you may wish to review the Feb. 3 Laundry List. And if you're eager for the next expansion pack to arrive, consider learning when Royalty & Legacy will be released and everything you need to know about Ondarion.

universal tower defense unit tier list and guide

Updated on February 3, 2026: Added all units from the Cell update as well as the two new battle pass exclusives.

The best units in Universal Tower Defense depend on five categories which are Hybrid, Hill, Ground, Support and Farm. I'll show you the best ones for all roles as well as talk about the best game modes, traits and relics for all units. Here's my Universal Tower Defense tier list and guide.

Universal Tower Defense Unit Tier List

universal tower defense tier list

This is just a preview of the Universal Tower Defense tier list but the real ranking reasons are below. I'll go into each individual unit and talk about why it's ranked where it is, as well as the best game modes for it and specific traits. Note that I won't go much into progression since any unit can be good to progress with if you upgrade and Etherealize it with some Relics equipped. I'll focus more on Nightmare, Infinite, Challenges and Virtual Realm.

Portal Note: You can open Portals with the Perfect Arena Key dropped in the Dragon Ball Legend stages. You must complete each Portal tier in order to be able to get the Perfect Arena Key for the next portal tier (T2>T3 25% drop chance/T3>T4 10% to keep T4 50%).

Stat & Evo Assumptions: I'll assume you're feeding and upgrading the units with good stat rolls from the Traits NPC. I'll also assume the EVO versions of units if they have an EVO. You can assume the non-EVO versions are a tier below in the same categories. For example, the base Admiral is still a good support but instead of a Hybrid he's a good Ground unit.

Best Stats: Usually the best stat to increase is Damage for overall DPS or SPA since most Relic Set Bonuses have effects that trigger on 5th/6th attack so the faster you trigger these the better.

Best Traits: I'll list the best traits for each unit below.

Farming Tips: Check out the FAQ below for the best farming tips for Gems, Trait Rerolls and more.

Meta Hybrid

S-Tier Hybrid Rankings Explained

Phantom Captain (Carrier)
Secret
• Massive DPS summoner unit that summons both attack planes on her location and line planes that explode on contact
• The line planes deal excellent supporting AOE burst damage while her personal planes deal sustained DPS AOE damage
• She also buffs her planes for +30% crit rate and +50% crit damage during the first 10 seconds of their duration for a ton of DPS
• Overall a strong contender for one of the best Hybrid DPS units

• Best Trait: Ruler

Migumen (Finale)
NY Capsule Exclusive
• She's now Meta with the new update
• Great DPS overall but her Nuke on max deals massive damage, especially on E6
• Apart from the Nuke she's a great Burn DoT damage unit
• This is because in addition to the Burn DoT she's also excellent against armor due to True Damage and Radiation
• Extremelly flexibile unit when you play around her active

• Best Trait: Ruler or Sacred

Jinoo (Monarch)
Banner Secret
• Top 3 DPS unit with shadows dealing massive damage with the scaling buff
• Best unit for Infinite due to the massive scaling and decent on VR
• Note that he's not the best for faster game modes since he takes a while to scale up
• That said, he got a massive buff on December 20 giving his passive to the unevolved version and pumping his mana gain and damage

• Best Trait: Ruler or Eternal

Berserker (Enraged)
Mythic
• Much better now in the new update with the fix
• Top 5 DPS unit in the game overall and arguably one of the best Hybrids due to game mode flexibility, CC and hyper armor damage
• Fast ramp-up value
• Obliterates armored enemies, slows and increase all damage taken on enemies
• Second-best unit for VR after Kriatu EVO
• Decent on Infinite but not the best

• Best Trait: Ruler or Sacred

Ice Empress (Forst)
Winter Capsule Exclusive
• A mix of impressive DPS and execution as well as top-tier stalling support and even a bit of buffs
• She has a ton of passives but the main ones are freezes and slows for amazing stalling for your other DPS units
• Summons units which is really strong but requires 50 kills on her meter so she's best for extended game modes and not quick farming
• Combos well with other Frost units which she buffs for 20% like Koyote or Jangluu
• Overall a powerhouse DPS and Support hybrid

• Best Trait: Ruler

Good Hybrid

S-Tier Hybrid Rankings Explained

Bio-Android (Perfect)
Secret
• Very slow to get going but gets powerful if you have time to evolve him (Gets Hybrid) so he's better in Infinite
• Evolves by beating mini-bosses he spawns and E2 is really good since it reduces the HP of those bosses
• You need to reach Perfect state for him to be good (Hybrid+Max Upgrade) though Semi-Perfect does have Confusion which is decent support
• Most of the prime DPS comes from high base damage, Sub-Unit summons and the 5% on-hit Line AOE follow up
• That said, the active nuke does stun in an AOE which is really strong for bosses and is on a 90s global cooldown
• Overall, really slow to get going but is close to Meta DPS and utility on final evolution

Rohan & Robot 16 (Limit Breaker)
Mythic
• A ton of passives here but to summarize it's a weak unit at start slowly increasing damage up to Wave 10
• That said you have Red Combo and A-16 which boost your damage with follow up attacks, low SPA, stuns and stun immunity
• Then it's all about the two actives where the first is available once you stack up Rage and is an AOE Nuke (It take away A-16 damage boosts)
• It also puts you into Mode 2 with maxed-out stats and a Line AOE active that deals massive damage and resets your Rage
• Overall, despite high DPS in the end, it's a lot of work and really slow to get going similar to Bio-Android which might not be good in most modes
• This is a lower-tier Hybrid for now

Koyote (Number One)
Mythic
• A Hybrid-on-upgrade DPS machine that spams wolf summons on takedown dealing sustained DPS and charging energy (Especially on E4)
• Also has a massive damage burst Nuke that fires on max energy doing 500% damage
• Koyote isn't the best hybrid DPS but he's good for any mode

• Best Trait: Ruler for main DPS or Sacred/Eternal for secondary DPS

Ichiko (Rage)
Secret
• Ichiko is good, don't get me wrong, but he's just raw DPS with not a lot of utility past the 5-second active stun that's on a 90s cooldown
• Requires a specific build around crit chance and damage to maximize his passive damage and overall DPS (Go full damage on substats)
• Still one of the better units in the game, just slightly weaker than the ones above

• Best Trait: Ruler or Sacred

Weaker Hybrids

Weaker Hybrid Rankings Explained

Dragon Guy (Silverite)
Challenges Secret
• Got massive buffs to Twin Dragon Hunting Flash, Shatter and Are You Scared helping him in faster modes
• He's not a Meta DPS but he is Meta if you consider him a Hybrid DPS Support mix since he can CC enemies
• Great on Virtual Realm and Infinite but takes a while to activate his Trance
(This is not as much of a problem anymore due to buffs)
• He's best with units that can apply Freeze since his Shatter deals burst damage on frozen targets
• He can also self-cleanse stuns which is really good for Infinite

• Best Trait: Ruler or Eternal

Scarlet Maid (World)
Get from Virtual Shop
• A hybrid DPS and Support that can now be viable with the December 20 buffs to her skill damage and The World ability
• Stuns enemies, has Slows and deals great DPS with Time Gauge stacks which trigger various high damage attacks
• The only downside is that her CC needs to be activated by attacking and is not on every attack like other CC units
• Great on Infinite
• That said, she's best when you have E6 since the CC lasts for a long time

• Best Trait: Ruler or Sacred

Mob (100%)
Mythic
• Overall a great slowing unit and an always useful Hybrid that got a slight damage buff which adds up fast
• Really good for VR and Infinite as a supporting slowing option with Eternal and decent with Ruler as a DPS but I would stick to it as a support/DPS mix

• Best Trait: Ruler or Eternal

Bambee (Blitz)
NY Capsule Exclusive
• Deals okay damage but her main strength is flexibility since she applies status effects based on your team's most used element
• These status effects are also better with Bambee since they last longer
• I recommend building your team around Ice since due to Ice Empress, Koyote and Jangluu being some of the best units in the game

Water: Slow
Wind: Wind Shear
Rose: Bleed
Dark: Stun
Fire: Burn
Light: Radiation
Ice: Freeze

Meta Ground

S-Tier Ground Rankings Explained

Fallen Prince (Ruthless)
Mythic
• Also a ramp-up unit like Roku and Rohan but unlike them he's not slow since he gets no damage debuff
• He just keeps buffing himself up each wave and kill with damage, crit chance, range and attack speed until he goes Super Saiyan
• Once you reach max cap with his crit chance buff (0.25% per kill up to 30%) he goes SS with Hyper Armor Damage and guaranteed crits after a few kills
• Overall a very strong Ground unit that's good for any mode and isn't that slow like some Cell Update units

Robot 17 & 18 (Fighterz)
Mythic
• A high-tier Ground unit that's better than Roku and Rohan because even though they scale damage with waves they don't start with a damage debuff
• They deal great Circle AOE DPS with massive range and you can switch between them for 3 seconds of Disruption or Confusion per switch which is great utility
• As a cherry on top they're also immune to stuns and have an active Nuke on final upgrade for decent damage
• Overall a great Ground unit with good DPS and some support potential

The Drink (Survivor)
Mythic
• A simple and strong Full AOE contender for your Ground slot that deals impressive DPS thanks to various self buffs
• Also does Burn damage on Upgrade 6
• Overall not a lot of utility here, just pure DPS so it's not a must-have but it's nice to have

Kriatu (Cheater)
Mythic
• The best ground unit in the game currently
• Also the best unit in the game for VR
• Deals increasingly more damage as he crits
• Get the Duelist trait on him ASAP so that he can crit more and therefore ramp up damage faster
• He can only gain more crit from Traits
• Got a huge buff on ability damage making him even better

• Best Trait: Duelist

Sasku (Chakra)
Mythic
• Overall great on any mode with excellent DoT damage, utility and overall DPS (Especially with the buffs on Arrow and Kirin)
• The utility mainly comes from the passive which has some hybrid potential
• Also has decent CC for pseudo-supporting
• Excellent for grinding Story since he's easy to get and EVO
• You can either run him as your main DPS with Ruler or off-DPS with Wizard for DoTs

• Best Trait: Wizard or Ruler

Good/Alternative Ground

A-Tier Ground Rankings Explained

Grommjow (Panther)
Exclusive
• Deals decent AOE DPS and works similarly to Koyote where you're collecting meter but instead of a nuke, Grommjow transforms on full meter
• The transformation boosts both single-target DPS and AOE damage due to the explosion per enemy
• Great against armor

• Best Trait: Ruler or Eternal

Ronin Obito/Rogue Oni
Exclusive
Day 7 Daily Reward
• The best on Story mode since you can get him for free Day 7 and grind story
• Impressive DoT damage but not as much utility as other DoT units like Sasuke, Ace and Admiral
• Will be much stronger if they gave him an EVO like Rule

• Best Trait: Wizard

Footballer (Ego)
Exclusive
BattlePass Reward
Level
25
• Decent DPS with the self-buff and mini damage buff on ally but doesn't combo with anything nor excel in anything
• Great for Story since you can get it fast for free via BattlePass
• Overall a decent DPS option if you don't have anything else

• Best Trait: Ruler or Sacred

Meta Air/Hill

S-Tier Air Rankings Explained

Jangluu (Eclipse)
Winter Capsule Exclusive
• Deals a ton of damage on Frozen enemies even though he doesn't stun on Freeze
• Best combined with units that can freeze like Ice Empress since she also buffs Ice units
• Requires a specific team setup but can potentially be one of the best Hill units in the game

• Best Trait: Ruler or Eternal

Spade (Donut)
Mythic
• The best Air/Hill DPS unit and one of the best units in the game overall due to the passive on-shield damage
• Amazing for progressing story/legend stage since you can get it fast and you need a good Air ASAP
• Otherwise great for VR and Infinite as your Hill slot with Ruler as a main DPS or Astral as a secondary DPS
• Best trait is Astral since Spade is the best Burn DOT unit in the game right now

• Best Trait: Astral or Ruler

Ultiorra (Oblivion)
Mythic
• Similar to Tierabel in that Ultiorra deals decent DPS and also has supporting abilities from Unpredictable Despair where he can Confuse or Stun enemies
• I prefer him over Spade when not facing shields since Spade is better against shields
• You also get an active Nuke that deals massive damage on a 45s cooldown which is pretty good for clearing important waves

• Best Trait: Ruler or Eternal

Sharpshooter (Precision)
Mythic
• Massive range with decent DPS and a decent amount of off-supporting capabilities
(Place her in the back so she's in Sniper mode)
• Can hit enemies across the entire map in Sniper mode with a neat little damage bonus
• The grenades offer some AOE support damage
• She can also mark enemies with her active to take more damage from all sources and buffs Fire unit damage placed near her
• Overall a decent DPS hill unit with two modes for great range and a little bit of support

• Best Trait: Pick the highest damage trait or Ruler since she doesn't need extra range from Traits because Sniper mode has infinite range

Good/Alternative Air/Hill

A-Tier Air Rankings Explained

Super Roku (Enraged)
Mythic
• Roku has access to amazing tech where you can teleport him to different choke points within range to prolong his DPS once enemies leave range
• That said he's slow like Rohan & Robot 16 starting out with a massive damage debuff that goes away after a few waves but it's not worth it IMO
• Once the debuff is gone he can deal pretty decent DPS with his passive buffs but it might be too late at this point since he's just a Hill unit
• Would be better if he was Hybrid so as things stand he's a low-tier Hill unit

Tierabel (Hydro)
Mythic
• Great damage with spawning AOE damage tides
• Plus, she also slows enemy units offering mini support potential
• Becomes even stronger in her mode
• Note that it isn't that worth it running Nell just for the combo on the first passive since it's not that much
• Overall is kind of like Mob where it's decent DPS and decent Support but not the best at either

• Best Trait: Eternal

Cyborg (Fearless)
Mythic
• The weakest Air/Hill unit but can still hold his own due to the December 20 buffs
• The main reason he's much better now is that his Nuke got a massive buff for targeted damage and is on a much lower CD
• Decent DoT and he's a must-have if you don't have Spade or other Hill units to hit fliers

• Best Trait: Wizard or Ruler

Meta Support

S-Tier Support Rankings Explained

Ice Empress (Forst)
Winter Capsule Exclusive
• A mix of impressive DPS and execution as well as top-tier stalling support and even a bit of buffs
• She has a ton of passives but the main ones are freezes and slows for amazing stalling for your other DPS units
• Summons units which is really strong but requires 50 kills on her meter so she's best for extended game modes and not quick farming
• Combos well with other Frost units which she buffs for 20% like Koyote or Jangluu
• Overall a powerhouse DPS and Support hybrid

• Best Trait: Ruler

Rule (ROOM)
Exclusive
BattlePass Reward
Level 50
• Incredibly versatile support that stuns and teleports enemy units
• Great on all modes but especially on Virtual Realm

• Best Trait: Ruler or Eternal

Admiral (Magma)
Legendary EVO
• The best budget unit in the game since you get it easily as a Legendary and it stays strong in the late-game via EVO
• Easily one of the best Fire units in the game
• Admiral is good for two reasons, he deals impressive DOT damage but also acts as a support with Confusion
• Confusion makes enemies walk back which is amazing stalling for your main DPS units

• Best Trait: Wizard or Fission

Miku (Super Star)
Mythic
• Buffs all units around her with either increased Damage or Range
• Etherealize up to 6 is key here to increase the buffs
• The best buffer in the entire game and she becomes worth it after you place some units already so don't use her as a starter or second unit
• Amazing for Infinite

• Best Trait: Artificer

Judas (Darkness)
Battle Pass Level 50 Exclusive
• Low SPA but deals decent DPS and slows units
• He's a sub DPS unit with supporting options that are quite good and while he's not a must-have support he's still pretty good

Ja'frey (Lightning Assassin)
Battle Pass Level 25 Exclusive
• Ja'frey is a great alternative for your CC support slot because he's an on-attack Stun-based unit with decent DPS
• The stuns go up to 1.5 seconds on E4 which is really strong for any mode
• Plus he's not that hard to get

Shunks (Conqueror)
Mythic
• You get both damage and stuns all in one unit making Shunks one of the best units in the game
• Definitely worth to EVO
• Meta support DPS for all game modes due to stuns

• Best Trait: Ruler or Sacred

Good/Alternative Support

A-Tier Support Rankings Explained

Tierabel (Hydro)
Mythic
• Same as her Hill entry but with a focus on her slowing and supporting capabilities which are decent but not the best

• Best Trait: Eternal

Lulu
Quest Secret
Check out how to unlock him>
• Our Lulu/Lelouch Quest Guide will show you how to unlock this unit
• Lulu is a great support unit when he works that doesn't attack but instead issues orders based on his cooldown
• He can stall units a lot which helps your main DPS units get in more damage
• He can also stun enemy units
• That said, there's also some great damage here with the Beam order (Which got buffed)
• Great for all game modes and is overall one of the best supports
Laughing Captain Relic set bonus is great on him for reduced active cooldowns

• Best Trait: Ruler or Sacred

Bambee (Blitz)
NY Capsule Exclusive
• Deals okay damage but her main strength is flexibility since she applies status effects based on your team's most used element
• These status effects are also better with Bambee since they last longer
• I recommend building your team around Ice since due to Ice Empress, Koyote and Jangluu being some of the best units in the game

Water: Slow
Wind: Wind Shear
Rose: Bleed
Dark: Stun
Fire: Burn
Light: Radiation
Ice: Freeze

Scarlet Maid (World)
Get from Virtual Shop
• A hybrid DPS and Support that can now be viable with the December 20 buffs to her skill damage and The World ability
• Stuns enemies, has Slows and deals great DPS with Time Gauge stacks which trigger various high damage attacks
• The only downside is that her CC needs to be activated by attacking and is not on every attack like other CC units
• Great on Infinite
• That said, for Supporting purposes she's lower on the list since she's best when you have E6 for a massive duration boost which can be slow to grind

Nelle (Primal)
Mythic
• A weird DPS unit that revets between baby and adult form granting various buffs that ultimately produce sub-optimal damage
• That said has some decent supporting abilities with Ichiko and Tierabel which are both really good units
• That said, I wouldn't run Nellee unless you really like her from Bleach

Shakumira EVO
Legendary EVO
• A low DPS unit but offers great support potential with a stalling ability
• Not the best unit to EVO for all modes but pretty great on Infinite, especially with the cooldown buff on the CC

• Best Trait: Artificer

Zora
Legendary
• Great beginner unit and overall a decent support with the CC effect
• Scarlet Maid is a better unit and DPS but Zora's CC is more reliable for supporting

• Best Trait: Artificer

Farm

Farm Rankings Explained

Bulmo
Legendary
• A better version of Fastcart

• Best Trait: Fortune

Fastcart
Epic
• Get the Fortunate trait on him ASAP
• Good for all modes

• Best Trait: Fortune

Phoenix flying in front of devil dinosaur in marvel rivals

There are many unique maps you can battle on in Marvel Rivals, all of which come with some fun Easter eggs to find. No other map is as packed with them as the Museum of Contemplation, though, which is home to the Collector's impressive collection.

Map Easter eggs often hint at content that will be added in the future, like Blade, who spent a while sleeping on a map before he arrived. Because of this, you may be eager to see what this location is hiding. Here are all Museum of Contemplation Easter eggs and references in Marvel Rivals.

There are Easter eggs and references just about everywhere you look around the Museum of Contemplation in Marvel Rivals. They're mostly concentrated before the first checkpoint, as you exit the museum to explore the gardens beyond once you reach this point. Here is every Easter egg and reference we've found around this location.

  • The Stepford Cuckoos, who are five telepathic clones of Emma Frost, can be found in pods near the edge of the starting area.
  • Devil Dinosaur is shrunk down from his usual size and is hanging out inside one of the displays. He runs at the glass, attempting to break it every now and then. It's interesting that he's been shrunk, and it may hint that he'll join the roster as a playable character in the future.
  • Various mutated skins you can unlock for characters are trapped throughout this location, including the Capwolf version of Captain America, the Monstro King version of Namor, the Man-Spider version of Spider-Man, the Maestro version of Hulk, and the Franken-Castle version of The Punisher.
  • Throg, a superhero frog with Thor's powers, is trapped on display here.
  • The dagger Hela uses with her The Grim Lady outfit is encased.
  • A statue of Adam Warlock's Immortal Avatar look is on display.
  • Deadpool has graffitied the bathroom in the museum. Inside, you'll find all kinds of silly doodles, including messages that ask "Where is Cable?," "Buff Deadpool–Galacta," and "Deadpool's Rivals."

  • Old Lace, a superpowered dinosaur that belongs to Gertrude Yorkes from the Runaways, is curled up in a ball, napping inside one of the exhibits. This dinosaur can be distinguished from others thanks to her iconic nose ring.
  • A contract forged with Mephisto is hidden inside one of the cases. Revealing this contract is crucial for obtaining the Secret Stash achievement.
  • Howard the Duck can be found napping inside one display.
  • The Superhuman Registration Act document is in one of the cases.
  • Yondu's arrow, which he can control by whistling, can be found on display.
  • The VEN#M Peni Parker suit and the Mark I Iron Man suit are disassembled and displayed behind glass.
  • Some animated Pym Particles can be found in a case.
  • An Ultron Drone is on display in the museum.
  • The hammer Thor wields with his God of Winter outfit is encased.
  • Cosmo the Spacedog, a telepathic dog, is trapped inside one of the displays. He looks potentially about the right size, similar to Jeff the Land Shark, to be added as a character in the future.

  • If you manage to get the convoy to the second checkpoint, you'll witness it turn into Ducktor Strange, a duck inflatable raft version of the Sorcerer Supreme. Helping this transformation occur is a key part of the Well, That Got Weird... achievement.
  • Giganto, an enemy who commonly faces the Fantastic Four, is encased here.
  • Lockheed, a purple alien who looks like a dragon and is a companion of X-Men member Kitty Pryde, can be found in the museum.
  • Lady Loki's scepter can be found in one of the displays.
  • A large Brood, an insectoid alien, can be found flying around one of the cases.
  • A bird that seems to be Redwing, a falcon that belongs to Sam Wilson, is on display.
  • The Black Vortex is in one of the cases.
  • A few models that are tougher to discern, as they are placed in shadow, are located across a couple of displays. This potentially includes Yeti, Living Mummy, Man-Wolf, and a Mindless One.
  • A Symbiote is trapped in a case.
  • Professor X's iconic yellow chair can be spotted inside a display near the second checkpoint. Between this and the statue of him that exists on the Hellfire Gala: Krakoa map, his eventual arrival as a playable character seems to be very likely.

  • An empty Infinity Gauntlet is sitting inside a circular case.
  • The guns Star-Lord wields in his King of Spartax outfit are on display.
  • A Spider Totem can be found inside a case.
  • The Punisher's gun from his Dangan Ronin outfit is encased.
  • The Universal Weapon, usually seen with Ronin, is on display.
  • The Tesseract, also known as a Cosmic Cube, can be found here.
  • A Wakandan mask is on display.
  • A fragment of what appears to be celestial armor is sitting in a corner.
  • Captain America's shield is hung up on a wall.
  • Stormbreaker is on display.
  • A room with lots of static televisions in it may either be referencing WandaVision or the TVA.
  • Deadpool's mask is on display on one of the walls.

There are plenty of other secrets to uncover across other maps you can visit in Marvel Rivals. A good way to find them is by tackling key achievements, as many of them are tied to hidden features. Some good ones to work on are Days of Future PastArrako Goes AnalogMutant and Proud!, and Whispers in Pieces.

The Psi Aeterna IV rocket pulse rifle in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2's rocket pulse rifles are unparalleled in the special ammo department, and a god-rolled Psi Aeterna IV is among the best Energy weapons to have in your back pocket. The icing on the cake is that you can use it with Renegades' Praxic Blade, since they're in different slots.

Mint Retrograde was the first of its archetype, and is by far the most famous. Psi Aeterna IV follows in its footsteps, bringing an alternative (or a pairing) in the Energy slot. While its perk pool gives it a certain "we have Mint Retrograde at home" quality, this Arc pulse rifle can complement its sibling quite well in double-special loadouts, or open up your Kinetic slot for an Exotic of choice. Not necessarily the Praxic Blade, but you know, statistically, it's probably the Praxic Blade.

Here are our Psi Aeterna IV god rolls in Destiny 2, based on perk info from d2foundry.gg.

Psi Aeterna IV PvE god rolls in Destiny 2

A tier five Psi Aeterna IV in Destiny 2, seen in Collections.
Thankfully, you can shade the tier five version. Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Barrel: Quick Launch, Volatile Launch, or Linear Compensator
  • Mag: Appended Mag or High-Velocity Rounds
  • First perk: Trickle Charge or Blast Distributor
  • Second perk: Elemental Honing or Jolting Feedback

    • Honorable mentions: One For All, Rolling Storm

The most palpable difference between a god-rolled Mint Retrograde and the same for a Psi Aeterna IV is clear in the third column. The Arc-aligned pulse rifle doesn't have access to best-in-slot perks such as Rewind Rounds or Envious Arsenal, which puts it at a noticeable disadvantage.

Instead, Psi Aeterna has Trickle Charge, a reload perk that leans into its Arc affinity to pump ammunition into its magazine whenever you gain or unleash Bolt Charge. If you're lucky enough to get a roll with Accelerated Assault, too, you'll get more ways to sustain damage (when it's not bugged). This is particularly good if you have ways to grab Bolt Charge quickly, such as a Storm's Keep Titan in your vicinity.

As a backup option for the third column, Blast Distributor can temporarily boost your Grenade stat, letting you top it off or use it as a buffer to spread your points elsewhere without as much of a loss. Think of it as a Font mod on your gun.

Outside of those picks, Eddy Current can work in a pinch. It's good if you have access to Amplified without an easy way to stack Bolt Charge in a boss fight, such as a Getaway Artist Warlock or an Ascension Hunter. In most cases, they're all better options to have on your gun than Stats For All, Beacon Rounds, or Reverberation.

A guardian holds the Psi Aeterna IV in their hands in the Firing Range in Destiny 2.

Elemental Honing is the star of the fourth column, as usual. This stacking damage buff can vastly boost your damage if your build has access to different elements. If you're going monochrome, Jolting Feedback applies Jolt to enemies, causing area damage and even stunning any Overload Champions caught in the blast for some bonus utility.

Outside of those two, One For All and Adrenaline Junkie are the only options to give you bigger damage numbers, but neither is particularly suited to boss encounters. The first requires you to shoot three different targets quickly to activate, but not all bosses have adds. Both are good for general use in hard content, but they don't work as well for bosses. These two perks are either more work or less upkeep for a similar bonus to Elemental Honing, which is why the jack-of-all-trades ranks at the top of our god roll.

Rolling Storm joins the list of honorable mentions, mostly because it can fuel Trickle Charge and give you a little edge on your abilities. You won't get any mileage out of it in most boss scenarios, though, and the same applies to One For All—and that's why they're only on the B-list.

How to get Psi Aeterna IV in Destiny 2

A shot of Nessus in Destiny 2, with the colossal Cabal land tank, the Halphas Electus, in sight.
Proving Grounds is one of the many options. Screenshot by Destructoid

Psi Aeterna IV can drop from Solo Ops, Fireteam Ops, or Arena Ops in the Portal—basically, anything that's not Pinnacle Ops or the Crucible, since these two have their own dedicated drop pools. In some cases, this pulse rifle can drop with the Accelerated Assault origin trait, which is best-in-slot.

To improve your chances, farm Psi Aeterna IV when it's the Bonus Focus drop for a certain sortie. You're guaranteed one drop of it in your first completion of that activity at B or above, and subsequent clears can award this weapon as a bonus. It may also come back as a reward for the Grandmaster Vanguard Alerts, akin to the pre-The Edge of Fate Grandmaster Nightfalls. When the stars align, you have more chances of obtaining a weapon with Accelerated Assault—including one on your first clear as well.

Schedule 1 Westville

Schedule 1's v0.4.3 update brings metallic Storage Closets for you to buy and use to expand your business empire.

The closets are essentially better versions of the storage chests that we already had in-game. These closets offer more space for you to utilise in your base of operations. Let's look at how to get these metallic closets and set them up.

How to get the Storage Closet in Schedule 1

You can buy the Storage Closet from Dan's hardware store in Schedule 1. However, it will be locked for you when you're just starting out. You'll need to reach Bagman 1 rank at a minimum before the metallic items become available in the store.

Metallic Storage closet in Schedule 1
Screenshot by Destructoid

Once unlocked, you'll find four different options in the store.

  • Small: $150
  • Medium: $225
  • Large: $300
  • Huge: $500

How to use the Storage Closet in Schedule 1

The first step is to purchase it from the store. You can buy as many as you want. Once you purchase a closet, it will be added to your inventory slot. Go to your base of operations and select where you want to place the closet.

Select it from the inventory and place it on the spot. While the Small and Medium variants don't take up much space, the Large and Huge ones are massive in size. Here's the amount of inventory space each one offers.

  • Small: Six slots
  • Medium: Eight slots
  • Large: Twelve slots
  • Huge: Twenty slots

The Huge Storage Closet offers the best bang for the buck, but it's expensive and needs plenty of space on your base. Incidentally, this is the only new item in the update, as the rest of the changes are tweaks to existing gameplay elements.
