Square Enix confirmed the dates for the 2026 Hatching-tide spring event in FFXIV, and this year the major prizes to get are six pairs of Easter Eggy Eyeglasses facewear armor. All players who've passed level 15 will be able to take part in "Of Weeds and Whimsy" starting on March 23, 2026.
To kick off "Of Weeds and Whimsy," you'll need to meet up with Stylish Dreamer in Old Gridania. She'll be at X:10.2, Y:9.4. By going through the questline, you can earn various Eggy Eyeglasses items. These can then be traded to get the new FFXIV Easter Eggy Eyeglasses facewear pieces of armor. There are six possible ones total, and here is the full list of items and the armor they unlock:
A number of furnishings are also available to collect this year. The three tabletop items we can get are Archon Egg Basket, Filled Archon Egg Basket, Scattered Archon Eggs, and Tabletop Hatching-tide MMXXV (2025) Advertisement. The two kinds of wall-mounted decorations are Hatching-tide MMXVI (2016) Advertisement and Hatching-tide MMXXV (2025) Advertisement.

Hatching-tide is an annual affair in the MMORPG. It's always the Easter and spring-themed FFXIV event. In 2025, people could earn an Archon Egg Parasol for taking part. The 2024 installment ended up being combined with Little Ladies' Day and featured a Hatching-tide Peatie mount.
Final Fantasy XIV is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the Hatching-tide event will start in FFXIV on March 23, 2026 and end on April 6, 2026.

The Lollapalooza 2026 lineup is live, and it will include a performance by Yoasobi. The group is well known for its music being used as anime opening and ending theme songs. The official site and social media announcement didn't note which day they'll perform, only that Ayase and Ikura will be present. It will be held in Chicago, Illinois, and the shows run July 30, 2026 through August 2, 2026.
This will mark the second time the duo will perform at the Chicago event. Yoasobi took part in Lollapalooza 2024 as well. During that show, they performed both "Kaibutsu" and "Yasashii Suisei" from the Beastars anime adaptation, "Idol" from Oshi no Ko, "Shukufuku" from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, and "Yuusha" from Frieren.
It's unknown which tracks could be part of the group's set this year. The duo did perform a number of anime opening and ending theme songs recently. For example, they were behind the tracks "Adrena" and "Baby" from the Hana Kimi anime that debuted in January 2026. They also performed the Witch Watch opening "Watch Me." It's possible attendees could hear any of those. Their most recent EP was E-Side 3, which debuted in 2024. In 2025, they also released a PlayStation-themed song called "Players."

Sanrio launched the mascot Pompompurin in 1996, and Sega announced an array of plush to celebrate the character's 30th anniversary. In April 2026, two varieties will appear in Japanese arcades. One is a collection of four smaller ones in the established Yurukawa line, while the other is a larger Grande plush of the dog. Both will launch on April 10, 2026, and there's no word on a worldwide release yet. Places like Meccha Japan have sold others in these series before, however, and it seems companies like Jazwares may be releasing more merchandise based on the character outside Japan.
In the case of the Pompompurin Grande stuffed animal, there is only one option available. It is a large version of the dog with a yellow plaid bow and brown hat. It stands at about 20 inches tall (52cm) and about 12 inches wide (30cm). Meanwhile, the Yurukawa series is actually a collection of four Sanrio characters all in themed Pompompurin color schemes and styles. So Cinnamoroll and Hangyodon both wear matching plaid bow ties, and Kuromi has a plaid dress. The other characters also swap out of their normal color schemes for shades of yellow.
Here's how all of those items will look.
2025 ended up being a big year for Pompompurin, as it won the Sanrio Character Ranking. The 2026 iteration of the popularity poll begins on April 9, 2026.

Square Enix announced that it opened Android Google Play and iOS App Store pre-registration for its new mobile game Dragon Quest Smash/Grow. It also confirmed there will be a bonus for opting in ahead of launch and shared a trailer highlighting elements of the experience. While there's no expected launch date yet, the App Store page launch window stated, "expected July 31, 2026."
We first learned Dragon Quest Smash/Grow was on the way back in September 2025. A closed beta test even followed. This will be an action-RPG. Our hero will run forward toward the top of the screen, attacking hordes of enemies along the way. Once you build up to a Coup de Grace attack, you can "smash" with an AOE assault. You'll also gather Blessings and growth crystals for roguelike elements that influence how the run will go.
As for the pre-registration incentive, those are Transmuter pulls. Square Enix will give enough for 10 of them. However, it didn't explain how those will work and what they'll entail.

Dragon Quest Smash/Grow is in development, pre-registration is open, and it will be playable on Android and iOS mobile devices.

The Sand Barioth is a strong mutation in Monster Hunter Stories 3, and unlocking it will be a true test.
A mutation of the Barioth species, you'll need to reach the Sereathis region to unlock the creature. Moreover, you'll need to repel the Invasive Khezu, and this guide will tell you what needs to be done.

How to repel the Invasive Khezu in Monster Hunter Stories 3
To find the Khezu, you need to reach the Serathis location and reach the spot marked on the image below. To repel the Khezu, you have to reach the win condition. To do so, you need to stop the Khezu's Wyvernsoul. When it hits you, it will reset your progression in the fight.
To repel the Invasive Khezu, you'll need to deal with the attack five times without breaking the sequence.
Once the Khezu is about to land its special attack after Learning Complete, use a Double Kinship attack. This will make the Khezu skip a turn, and it will flee while leaving behind the den. You can pick up a Barioth egg from the den.
How to get the Sand Barioth in Monster Hunter Stories 3
Obtaining the Sand Barioth mutation is really easy. All you need to do is for your Barioth to hatch, and then release it in an area. You'll find more Barioth eggs from the region. Hatch a few more and release them to raise the Barioth's Ecosystem Rank to A. Once done, you'll unlock the Sand Barioth mutation and find the special eggs in Barioth dens (depending on your luck).

Crimson Desert comes out on March 19, as confirmed by Pearl Abyss on its official website. The game is going to be available on all major platforms, including PC, Xbox Series S/X and, naturally, the PlayStation 5. Sandbox-RPG hybrid Everwind is now available on early access for PC players worldwide, and it already offers you a chance to play with your buddies.
While the game can be completely enjoyed on your own, you can play co-op with your buddies. While online gameplay has its fair share of limitations as of writing, it enables you to enjoy progression with your friends.
This guide will help you set up a co-op lobby to play Everwind.

How to invite your friends in Everwind
For starters, you'll all need to own a copy of Everwind. Being friends on Steam is recommended, but it's not necessary at all. In Everwind, the co-op gameplay works in an old-school setup. You get to share a world with your buddies, but the game will be hosted on your end. Hence, it's important that the person with the best internet gets to host a shared session.
Assuming that's you, here's how you can invite your buddies to play with you. Create a world if you haven't done it already. If you already have a world, you can load it into your save. You can use the same save for offline and online play.
Press the Esc button, and select the "Go Online" option. The game will now switch to an open lobby, and you'll be able to get your code. Share this code with your buddies. They will then need to log in to the game and join using the code.
How to join co-op in Everwind
Whether it's you hosting a save or your friend, you/your friend will need to use the code to play together. From the main menu, pick the Join Game option. Enter the code, and you'll be able to join your friend's world. Similarly, they can use your code to join the shared world and play together.

Ami Han AKA White Fox is the second hero coming to begin season seven. The hero is based off of the Korean legend of the nine-tailed fox, and she is a Strategist who can deal damage and heal enemies, buff teammates and charm foes, and transforms into a nine-tailed fox form for her ultimate.
New hero: Black Cat
Felicia Hardy AKA Black Cat, master thief, will join the game in season 7.5's update in April. Her role is currently unknown, but odds are she will be a Duelist.
New map: Lower Manhattan
The newest Convergence mode map in Marvel Rivals takes place in New York City, and it's launching on April 2. More info is coming soon.

The Soulseer Mizutsune is a 7* Leviathan that's one of the strongest mutations in Monster Hunter Stories 3, and unlocking it for your collection won't be an easy task.
For starters, you'll need to get the Mizutsune, which is an endangered monstie. On your way will be the Shogun Cenataur that you have to repel to gain access to the den in the first place. Let's look at how to unlock the Soulseer Mizutsune.

How to repel the Invasive Shogun Cenataur in Monster Hunter Stories 3
The first hurdle for you is to repel the Invasive Shogun Cenataur that can be found in the Canalta Timberland region. You can find its location on the image above (refer to the icon "5"). The Shogun Cenataur's Killer Claw attacks are extremely dangerous, and you'll need to have high defense.
Having party members that can trigger Defense Up will be a nice bonus, as you'll need to tank some hits. You can also use Mega Armorskin to buff up the defense of your monsties. Thankfully, the claws are easy to break as long as you can tank damage, and the creature will repel once you manage to nullify its attacks.
You will be able to access an egg den that allows you to get a Mizutsune (after the egg hatches).
How to get Zinogre in Monster Hunter Stories 3
To get the Soulseer mutation, you'll need a Zinogre, which is also an endangered species. You'll need to go to Tarkuan and repel an Invasive Odogaron (location marked as "8" in the image above). You need to use a monstie with a mud move.
Having an ability like the Mud Torrent will help you to break the Odograon's claws and force it to back off. Then, you can access a den that has a Zinogre egg. Wait for it to hatch, and you have your Zinogre.
How to get the Soulseer Mizutsune in Monster Hunter Stories 3
There are two requirements to fulfil to unlock the Soulseer Mizutsune egg.
Once you've found your first Mizutsune and Zinogre, release them in the same area. This will now allow you to find more Mizutsune and Zinogre eggs in the same region. Keep obtaining and releasing more Mizutsune in the same area until its Ecosystem Rank is up to S. You'll now have met both requirements for getting your Soulseer Mizutsune.
You can loot random dens and hope to get lucky, or Paintball a Mizutsune. It will then lead you to its den, and if you're lucky, you'll find a Soulseer Mizutsune egg to get the mutation for yourself.
