Animal Crossing Aquarium Event Heading to US too

Following Nintendo's confirmation that the Animal Crossing: New Horizons aquarium event would return to Japan, the company announced it a tour would appear across the US as well. It will begin running on February 13, 2026, and 10 aquariums will take part. The full schedule isn't available at the official site yet, however. This comes following a Switch 2 Edition and 3.0 update for the original release.

When the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Aquarium Tour is at a location, general admission tickets will cover access to special photo ops, signs at spots with Blathers' explanations, and a Stamp Rally. My Nintendo Platinum Points can be earned by checking in at special kiosks, and patches will be available. The gift shops will also stock items inspired by the games, but not the actual title or Switch 2 systems. There will be Kapp'n standees for the first time, and on certain days people will dress up as Isabelle, K.K. Slider, and Tom Nook.

Here's a list of all the participating aquariums in the US Animal Crossing: New Horizons event, though tour dates aren't confirmed for any of them yet.

  • Birch Aquarium in La Jolla, California
  • Sea Life Arizona Aquarium in Tempe, Arizona
  • Sea Life Charlotte-Concord in Concord, North Carolina
  • Sea Life Grapevine Aquarium in Grapevine, Texas
  • Sea Life Kansas City Aquarium in Kansas City, Missouri
  • Sea Life Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota
  • Sea Life Michigan Aquarium in Auburn Hills, Michigan
  • Sea Life New Jersey Aquarium in East Rutherford, New Jersey
  • Sea Life Orlando Aquarium in Orlando, Florida

As for the Japanese branch of the event, that will take place at Sea Life Nagoya. That involves exclusive merchandise, special employee uniforms, and a quiz.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available for the Switch, and the Switch 2 Edition update is live as well.

Mosshorn in Hytale

It has now been a week since Hytale emerged from the dead and entered into its early access program, finally giving its fans a taste of this long-awaited experience. It's already receiving praise across the board, despite its rather limited (and reasonably so) content breadth, and its creator couldn't be happier.

"It's now been seven days since early access launch and I can confidently say that I have no regrets [for] saving Hytale," said the game's original creator Simon Collins-Laflamme on X, who sold the IP to Riot Games and bought it back from the company last November. "It's been the most challenging but rewarding experience of my life," he added.

Collins-Laflamme went on to thank everyone who has participated in the early access launch thus far, and especially highlighted the Hytale development team that managed to bring the game from near-death to a playable, early-access-ready state in just a couple of months.

The title truly has had a wild ride. It was first announced in late 2018, but would end up in development hell for seven long years. All sorts of issues bogged down its development before it was eventually cancelled, with Collins-Laflamme stepping in to try and save it from demise. He would succeed by November 2025, and end up bringing the game to eager fans by mid-January.

That's a Biblical journey if there ever was one, and I'm glad to see it doing so well.

Cool concepts, ideas, and innovations that strive to break the monotony and dominance of single entities (in this case Minecraft) only stand to make all our lives better, so it would have been a tremendous loss for everyone if Hytale wound up as just "the game that could."

Arknights Endfield promo image

Arknights Endfield is available on mobile, but you can play it on a PC to get the best possible performance.

The new RPG has PC and console versions available on day one of the global launch. The PC version offers the highest number of tweaks if you want to change how the game plays visually on your system. Let's look at the best graphics settings to run if you want to get the maximum FPS in Arknights Endfield.

Best Arknights Endfield graphics settings

The following set of settings is what I have been using to play Arknights Endfield so far. Here's a quick rundown of my system: AMD Ryzen 5600G, Nvidia RTX 3060 12 GB, and 16 GB of DDR5 RAM.

  • Graphics Quality: High
  • Resolution: 1920x1080 Fullscreen for me; this will be based on your individual system.
  • FPS: 60 FPS
  • Render Scale: 100%
  • Special Effects Quality: Medium
  • Vertical Sync: Off
  • Shadow Quality: Medium
  • Texture Quality: High
  • Volumetric Fog: Low or Off
  • Anisotropic Sampling: x1
  • Ambient Occlusion: Medium
  • Scene Details: Medium/Low(if the Device Load and Estimated GPU Memory Usage are high)
  • Ambient Details: Low
  • Vegetation Density: Low
  • Image Enhancement: Nvidia DLSS (if applicable)
  • DLSS Super Resolution Mode: Balanced

Here are some key points to keep in mind.

  • Cap the FPS to 60. You can choose to use 120 FPS only if your system has that amount of handling capacity. I will also try the 120 FPS mode after a few post-launch patches are out. Additionally, 60 FPS is more than enjoyable as far as visual immersion is considered.
  • Turn off V-Sync. You won't lose much by keeping it turned off, compared to what you can potentially gain.
  • Enable DLSS if you're using an applicable GPU, and keep it to Balanced. If the visual load is still on the higher side, change it to Performance.

This set of settings should allow you to enjoy Arknights Endfield without any unnecessary lag, and get the maximum amount of FPS that's sustainable for your hardware.
