The Good Life, Swery's debt-repayment RPG-life sim adventure, will be made available on Xbox Game Pass when it releases on October 15.

But, if you are an Xbox One user, you won't have to wait that long to get a taste of it, because a demo of the game is available on the console now.

PC players can check out the demo during the upcoming Steam Next Festival, which kicks off tomorrow, October 1.

Splatoon 3 made a splat during last week's Nintendo Direct, reaffirming its release next year while giving a peek at the campaign with the return of mammals to the world. Nintendo is keeping the information momentum flowing on Twitter with some new screenshots and details about two new special weapons to use in battle.

First is the Crab Tank, an armored walking tank that allows for added mobility and defense while doling out ink sprays against the opposing team. Here's Nintendo's description of the new weapon:

This is the Crab Tank! When piloting this multi-legged vehicle, you can attack with a powerful rapid-fire gun and a cannon with a wide blast area. You can also turn into a ball to move around faster than crab walking.

Going from imposing weaponry to a stealth option, check out the Zipcaster. It's a special weapon that gives your inkling a ninja-like appearance and abilities. Here's the description from Nintendo's tweet announcing the item:

This special weapon turns an Inkling into a shadowy warrior called a Zipcaster. With tentacles that stretch way out and stick to walls, you can zoom around and cause mad chaos! To conceal your identity, when the ink runs out, you'll be returned to where you first transformed.

Both special weapons are very different from the arsenal inklings had in previous Splatoon entries and are sure to shake-up whichever turf wars you bring them into. Hopefully, this is just the tip of the inkberg for new items and weapons coming to Splatoon 3 when it releases on Switch next year.

Do you have any inventive ink delivery devices? Are there any weapons from prior Splatoons you'd like to see a return or left behind? Splat your ideas in the comments!

Hideo Kojima slated to win "Best Friend".

The Game Awards are like nerd Christmas, and Geoff Keighley is Santa Claus. He's also the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy, and he's replacing your dad, and the voice in your head, too. He's everywhere these days, after all: Summer Game Fest, Gamescom, that one THQ Nordic livestream, Death Stranding, and apparently The Muppets Haunted Mansion. Quite the busy chap.

But of course he's hosting The Game Awards, since that's his baby: the awards show that usually brings multiple game announcements, exclusives, and premieres to our screens every December.

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain is back thanks to GOG

What if The Legend of Zelda was grim, bloody, and full of vampires? The answer to that question has been around since the 90s with the Legacy of Kain series, but the game which kicked the lineage off has been notably absent from most modern digital distribution services. But now, Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain is once again available on PC thanks to GOG.

You can grab Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain now on GOG at a 10% launch discount, bringing the price down to $6.29 USD. The game is landing as part of GOG's 13th anniversary event, which is also bringing access to Elvira: Mistress of the Dark and Elvira II: The Jaws of Cerberus for some appropriate times heading into Halloween.

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain is a top-down action-adventure game where you take control of a vampire named Kain. You've got to keep seeking out blood to stay alive, while exploring the world, solving puzzles, and engaging in bloody combat as you go. The game has spawned a host of spin-offs and sequels, most of which are still available on GOG and Steam.

Yu-Gi-Oh: Master Duel confirmed for a Steam release this winter

Yu-Gi-Oh: Master Duel promises to be the Yu-Gi-Oh game fans have awaited for ages, with a robust take on the original rule set and plenty of ways to play online. The developers at Konami have unveiled some new details on the game as part of a presentation at Tokyo Game Show, including a rough release window.

Yu-Gi-Oh: Master Duel will launch "this winter" for PC via Steam, as well as PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and X, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. As previously announced, the game will be free-to-play, and a combination of in-game rewards, real money purchases, and events will allow you to unlock over 10,000 cards.

Master Duel will feature a solo mode, with story-driven missions divided up between illustrated narrative segments, practice missions that introduce you to mechanics, and full duels with AI opponents. Only the first half of the Konami Master Duel presentation has been translated to English, though the full-length video with new gameplay is available in Japanese.

eFootball 2022 is now the worst rated game on Steam, less than a day after release. Konami's free-to-play 'football platform' was announced earlier this year as the successor to PES, with a barebones launch planned to be expanded in perpetuity with optional DLC. Yet even accepting its relatively thin amount of content, players are sharing screenshots of terrible faces, broken animations, and plenty of bugs.

Steel Assault ReviewSteel Assault is a retro-inspired 2D platformer that features fluid yet challenging gameplay that Metal Slug and Contra players should find familiar. The intense gameplay, paired with sharp graphics and incredible level, designs should make Steel Assault one of the most memorable games in the genre. Still, its extremely short completion time and lack of new content to explore after the first playthrough hold it back. The story follows resistance fighter Taro Takahashi as he embarks on a revenge mission against dictator Magnus Pierce and his army. Steel Assault takes you through beautiful, war-torn environments that bring the game to life, while also preserving the retro feel of classic arcade games with its 16-bit style. While there is little storytelling, the game's short cutscenes and visuals do just enough to give you a reason to go fight enemies. Naturally, the gameplay is much more important in these types of games and, thankfully, it doesn't disappoint.   All ...

Genshin Impact Anniversary responsePut the pitchforks down for just a second, as miHoYo offered a response regarding the Genshin Impact anniversary. The community was in flames earlier this week due to the lack of anniversary rewards and silence from miHoYo, going as far as review bomb the Google Play store app. miHoYo confirmed to GamesRadar+ that it has "already come up with more celebrations" in response to the backlash following a surprise set of in-game giveaways that will presumably gift players 1600 Primogems and a variety of other rewards. So far, players have received a new exclusive glider and two fragile resins. The fragile resins are not yet available on North American servers, though.   "We've been paying close attention to various feedback regarding Genshin Impact's first anniversary," the statement to GamesRadar+ reads. "We've already come up with more celebrations including the coming Genshin Impact online concert and thank-you gifts to express our gratitude fo...

Medieval Dynasty Development Roadmap Crossbow Deer HuntDeveloper Render Cube and publisher Toplitz Production have come together to announce what the future holds for Medieval Dynasty. A detailed roadmap for Medieval Dynasty was revealed in a development blog on the publisher's official website. It details features that are planned for the near future as well as content that is expected to arrive in early 2022. Given its roots as a community-driven early access title, it's important that the developer maintains both transparency and communication with its fans. Other early access titles have benefited greatly from this business model, including staple games like Raft, Rimworld, and Subnautica. For this reason, it's great to see Render Cube adopt a similar strategy.   What lies ahead? The first addition revealed on the roadmap for Medieval Dynasty is the option to play from a third-person perspective. Currently, it is exclusively a first-person game. The main motive for adding a third-person perspective is that the...

Ready for more adventuring that might make you need a tissue to dry your eyes? Freebird Games are back for the third game in the To The Moon series with Impostor Factory.

Described as a "bonkers time-loop tragicomedy murder mystery thriller featuring multiple casualties and a suspicious cat" I still don't quite get if it's a sequel, a prequel or what. The good thing is you don't need to know either, as it's playable completely standalone to their previous games. This time the story is focused on a character named Quincy, who was invited to some sort of party at a suspicious secluded mansion that has a time machine in the bathroom and somewhere along the way people start dying.
