At first glance, Back 4 Blood might seem like a paint-by-numbers co-op shooter whose lineage traces back to Left 4 Dead.      Minecraft's Deep Dark sculk brings a new way to farm XP

Minecraft's Deep Dark has been delayed out of 1.18 to arrive with the 1.19 release date with The Wild, and the devs at Mojang showed off some new features for the new biome at Minecraft Live over the weekend. We got a good look at the sculk as part of the reveal, and it looks like this set of blocks will bring us a whole new way to farm XP.

Sculk catalysts will generate in the Deep Dark, and will generate sculk blocks wherever an enemy dies. The number of blocks generated is based on the amount of XP that mob generally drops, and those mobs don't have to be killed by players in order to create sculk. Mined sculk blocks will then drop experience points.

You can imagine the farming possibilities, and as gameplay designer Brandon Pearce explains, that's by design. "Usually when a mob dies, it doesn't drop XP unless you, the player, actually kills it. So with this you might be able to create some sort of XP farm. There's lots of opportunities."

     Amazon is

New World players are having a nightmare of a time with PvP right now, as an easily-replicable exploit has been giving players infinite invincibility. An Amazon Games representative has confirmed that the devs are aware of the issue, but there are no details yet on when a fix might be coming, or whether wars might be disabled in the meantime.

We won't provide the details here, but suffice to say that the exploit is easy to replicate, and essentially allows you to remain invincible indefinitely. Players can't move while abusing the glitch, but that allows them to stand forever on capture points, preventing Wars from ever progressing.

In a forum thread reporting the exploit, a New World community manager confirms "the team is aware and investigating". Elsewhere in the thread, the rep says "our top priority with any bugs or exploits that come up is to solve the problem as quickly as possible. If there are folks abusing a bug/exploit we will make sure they are handled by moderation".

Valve's hiring people to review all 50,000 Steam games for Steam Deck compatibility

Valve's Steam Deck is launching this year for those lucky enough to have secured an early reservation, promising access to your entire Steam library on the go. That's much more easily said than done, though. There are over 50,000 games on Steam, and Valve has begun the arduous process of checking every single one of those games for Steam Deck compatibility.

Each game will be assigned a rating based on how well it performs on Steam Deck. 'Verified' games will be required to support the system's controls, use readable fonts for the screen size, support the default resolution, and provide a default graphical configuration with a playable frame rate. Games that fail to meet one or more of those criteria, but otherwise work, will get a 'playable' badge, with additional details on the Steam store about which issues you may see with that game on the Steam Deck.

Reviewing every single Steam game is a massive undertaking even for Valve, and as Steam Deck designers Greg Coomer and Lawrence Yang tell Rock, Paper, Shotgun, they're building a team just for this process. "We've hired an additional group of testers specifically for Steam Deck compatibility, and will continue to hire additional staff to support this group."

Whether you're playing on Ubisoft Connect or the Epic Games Store, Discovery Tour: Viking Age will be available for the PC version of Assassin's Creed Valhalla on October 19 at 5am PDT / 8am EDT / 1pm BST. The paid, standalone version (priced at $19.99 / £16.99) will launch at 2am PDT / 5am EDT / 10am BST on Ubisoft Connect, or 8am PDT / 11am EDT / 4pm BST on Epic.

If you're looking to play on a console or Stadia, it's all quite a bit simpler. Across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Stadia, the update will be available on October 19 at 5am PDT / 8am EDT / 1pm BST.      Dota Dragon's Blood Season 2 Confirmed With Book Ii (1)Dota: Dragon's Blood debuted on Netflix in March of this year and has been fairly well received by both the media and (at least some of) the series' ardent fans. Its animation was handled by Studio Mir, the same folks responsible for The Legend of Korra. The series focuses on the Dragon Knight Davion, as he and Princess Mirana embark on a journey to stop an evil being from killing dragons and stealing their souls. Several key characters are already playable in Dota 2, namely Davion himself, Mirana, Luna, and Carl. But they're about to be joined by none other than Mirana's silent bodyguard, Marci, who is coming to Dota 2 soon. Valve announced this by dropping a new trailer that opens with Marci kicking all kinds of ass in fluid 2D animation courtesy of Studio Mir. After a bit, though, her 3D character model is revealed, as she'll continue the fight in Dota 2 proper in an upcoming update. There's no word on when exactly this update will launch, but ...

Minecraft Herobrine SeedConsidering that Minecraft is wholly owned by Microsoft, it was always strange to me that the game wasn't on Game Pass for PC. Then again, most people who've wanted to play Minecraft have already done so and have been doing so for many a year now. That number is going to get even higher come November, though, as Minecraft is finally being added to Game Pass. In the event that you somehow have avoided the game for various reasons, you'll be able to jump in and see what the blocky fuss is about if you're a subscriber. Minecraft is coming to Game Pass for PC on November 2, so there isn't long to wait at all. If you were planning to purchase the game in the coming weeks, you may consider this a sign from above that you shouldn't ever spend extra money on anything ever. In case you're wondering which edition of the game will be popping up, you'll have access to both the Bedrock and Java editions of the game. The install will come with the u...

graphics card shortage fall 2021 availability gpuIt feels like we've exhausted our news coverage about endless shortages over the past year, but the situation sadly still hasn't even remotely improved to a point that consumers are happy with. Graphics cards still remain scarce for a number of reasons, and the holiday season is rapidly approaching. We figured now was a good time to provide a comprehensive update about why the graphics card shortage is still ongoing, and what to expect through the rest of the year and into 2022. We spoke directly with several suppliers and pieced together information from other industry sources to gather a sense of what's going on. We'll briefly cover manufacturing, component shortages, supply chain bottlenecks, consumer availability, and why prices are so high. There's also a lot of speculation about what could happen in 2022, with some CEOs claiming there will be significant improvements to shortages. Some industry players are even speculating that a crash could event...

I'm sad to say it because if Wrath of the Righteous is anything to go by, I missed something special. While it does have some issues, there's no doubt that Owlcat have forged something awesome.
