| | PCGamesN Sunday, October 24, 2021 7:52 AM | |  The Phasmophobia Halloween update is arriving tomorrow after numerous teases over the last month, and is now titled Phasmophobia Nightmare - after the new, presumably more intense difficulty level that'll be a key part of the update, along with a tease of the new campsite map. The new update was teased back in September, after developer Kinetic Games added a new card to Phasmophobia's public Trello board promising a "major update" for Halloween. Most of the information was previously "redacted", but the card now states that the Halloween update will include a campsite map, two new ghosts, and a difficulty rework that incorporates a new "nightmare difficulty" setting. Earlier this month Kinetic Games posted a teaser for the two new ghost types showing the journal entry for one of them. Most of the information was blurred, but players have theorised based on what was shown that it could be the game's first ghost pair called 'The Twins' - which, if correct, I'm betting will be based on cinema's most famous ghost pair from The Shining. | | PCGamesN Sunday, October 24, 2021 6:44 AM | |  Epic's Fortnite just surprise-launched a big crossover with Capcom's Resident Evil series today as part of the Fortnitemares Halloween celebration. The Fortnite x Resident Evil bundle boasts original stars Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield alongside various items that may or may not make any sense whatsoever - like an actual Umbrella umbrella. Capcom obviously seems to have a good relationship with Epic after bringing family-friendly versions of Street Fighter skins to Fortnite earlier this year, now in time for Halloween - and with all the zombies popping up over the map - the stars of the Resident Evil series have started making their way over. The Resident Evil S.T.A.R.S. bundle is available in the Fortnite shop now, bringing with it the (ahem) stars of Resident Evil 1 - Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield, with two outfits each. Jill gets her original RE1 uniform and her more recent Resident Evil 3 remake outfit, whereas Chris gets his boulder-punching RE5 outfit and his traitorous government stooge outfit from this year's Resident Evil Village.
