I’m writing this from inside the Apple Vision Pro, which tells you a little bit about my week. It's been wall-to-wall spatial computing, and I've loved every minute of it. Apple’s first mixed-reality headset is, as you’ll learn from my review, unlike any wearable technology that’s come before it. This new category is a real thing – and you don’t have to take my word for it. As we note below, if you're in the US you can now head on over to your local Apple Store for your own hands-on experience – I visited mine in Manhattan, where I got a precious few seconds with Apple CEO Tim Cook.
I’d also love to try out Google’s new Gemini – a rebrand of Bard but also a replacement for Google Assistant – but none of Google’s apps run on the Vision Pro. I could also watch this weekend’s Super Bowl in the Vision Pro, but Paramount Plus is only partially supported in the headset; anyway, I prefer a big screen (there are still good TV deals out there, and you'll find some below) and the company of friends when I watch the big game, which is hard to do with goggles on your face.
It wasn’t all about the Vision Pro this week. We've published our comperhensive verdict on the Samsung Galaxy S24, a lovely small Android phone with excellent AI features, although it still pales in comparison to its bigger S24 Ultra sibling.
I’m reading these and countless other TechRadar stories on the Safari app inside the Vision Pro because that’s where I live now. I’d suggest hitting me up on FaceTime, but I worry my Persona might scare you.
Let’s enter the real tech verse, shall we?

The week in virtual reality
The Vision Pro is out, and we've reviewed it (Future)
It's been a long time since Apple launched a major product in a new category, but based on the time we've spent testing the Vision Pro, the mixed-reality 'spatial computing' headset might just be impressive enough to justify its $3,499 price tag.
This feels like a major moment in Google's AI endeavors: its Bard bot will now be called Gemini (in line with its underlying model); there's a new standalone Gemini app for Android in the US; and Google is claiming the AI is significantly smarter than before.
Super Bowl LVIII is on Sunday, and if you move fast you can still bag yourself a new, bigger, brighter, and smarter TV to watch the big game on – we've rounded up the best deals from Best Buy, Amazon, and Walmart on 4K, OLED, and QLED displays.
If you're after the most comprehensive review of the Samsung Galaxy S24 flagship phone, we've got it right here. Find out what we liked about the newly launched handset, what we didn't, and what you need to consider before going out and buying it.
Wondering what to watch this weekend? Our latest batch of picks includes One Day on Netflix – a series adaptation of David Nicholls’ bestselling romance novel – and Halo and Tokyo Vice, which return for second seasons on Paramount Plus and Max, respectively.
