Destiny 2 is a game I've gotten used to quitting on. For as long as I've played it, I've always found reasons to put it down. As much as it wants to be a game people keep coming back to, everything about the way it's been built makes it bristling, thorny, and off-putting. The longest stretch I've spent comfortably…

This weird roguelike is about working a slot machine

When you hear the word "roguelike," certain things leap to mind: procedural dungeons maybe, and randomized upgrades and loot. RP7 throws most of that playbook out the window: it's a game about a knight who moves back and forth across a set of slots, and your only way to control what happens is to spin the slots and hope something better turns up each time.

OffKai Expo, the Vtuber con, announced the VShojo members Henya the Genius and Matara Kan, as well as Mint Fantome, will attend.

OffKai Expo announced VShojo Vtubers Henya the Genius and Matara Kan, as well as independent performer Mint Fantome, will attend the Vtuber con. This follows a tease earlier this week that suggested VShojo would assist Mint with some appearances.

As the Events & Performances and Meet & Greet pages on the official OffKai Expo Vtuber con website, it is unknown how involved the performers will be. For the Henya announcement, it only confirmed that she will appear at the event. However, the Matara Kan and Mint Fantome reveal noted that the two will host an hour-long panel with a Q&A. It specifically referred to the Summer Special, which is the podcast the two former coworkers are hosting together.

As for the Mint & Matara's Summer Special, the next installment is expected to air at 12pm PT/3pm ET/7pm UTC on April 8, 2024. However, since then the two Vtubers have shared brief clips on the new YouTube channel they share together. First, Mint shared a "Psycho Mintis" clip referencing the Metal Gear Solid character.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lYGs4Boauc&ab_channel=Mint%26Matara%27sSummerSpecial

Matara followed that with a "cursed" video.

Meanwhile, Henya has been regularly streaming on Twitch. One of her last major uploads was a cover of the Kaai Yuki Yukopi song "Kyoufuu All Back."

These announcements come after OffKai announced that Nijisanji English branch members dropped out of appearing. Enna Aloutte, Millie Parfait, and Reimu Endou dropped out at the beginning of March 2024, following issues Anycolor had throughout the beginning of 2024 and the termination of Selen Tatsuki.

OffKai Expo will begin on May 31, 2024, and it will end on June 2, 2024. It takes place in Burlingame, California.

Review: Tengoku Struggle: Strayside Is a Heavenly Otome With Devilish Suitors

I love it when Idea Factory and Otomate create an otome game with a strong heroine, a strong cast of characters who all interact well with each other, and that can also mix in some humor or great lore building. Tengoku Struggle: Strayside is much like Variable Barricadein that respect, and as a result it is one of the better and stronger games Aksys has localized.

In the world of Tengoku Struggle: Strayside, there's a complex system of reincarnation and redemption that ties the human realm, heaven, and various levels of hell to ensure people move on and become the best versions of themselves. Rin Enma is a transient soul, one with no memories that would have disappeared, but she was adopted by the King of Hell as his daughter. She's dedicated herself to making a place for herself and making him proud, even becoming a Hell Guardian, to ensure she wouldn't disappear.

However, immediately after graduation, some notorious figures managed to actually escape hell after a special thread of redemption was dropped from heaven. As such, King Enma sends Rin to the human realm, as part of the normal exchange program, to have her work alongside criminals Goemon Ishikawa, Kikunosuke Uga, Sharaku Toushuusai, and Yona Murakami. However, while these men are willing to work for her father, they have no such loyalty to her. It's up to them to somehow all work together, figure out what Shinobikuni and her escapee minions' plans are, and send the prisoners back.

That said, Tengoku Struggle: Strayside is one of those fantastic otome games where the whole cast is incredible. Not only does Rin have fantastic chemistry with all of the bachelor options, but they all get along well with each other. As such, we're getting to see all of them play off of each other and their relationships develop from a group of people who just wanted to get out of hell for a while to actually being friends who care about each other and maybe even love Rin. The fact that they come from different time period and have different "sins" that landed them in various hells also make them fascinating, since we can eventually identify with why they did what they did and see how they interact based on their backgrounds.

Because Rin is both living and working alongside of these new allies, we're seeing relationships develop naturally between them in this otome visual novel. They come to see how strong and dedicated she is, as well as appreciate how seriously she takes her role as a Hell Guardian to rehabilitate and prove herself. Likewise, she sees the good sides of them and understands that just because they wound up in hell doesn't mean they're evil. This means there are a lot of moments that are dramatic, insightful, touching, and even just plain funny.

I also absolutely adored how the villains here are handled. Once Rin and her crew passes through the Hell Gate to the human world, they relatively quickly encounter Shinobikuni and the other prisoners she "saved." While Shinobikuni unquestionably comes across as villainous, some of the others fall into a more grey area. Azami, Okuni, and Sansaburo all seem like relatively decent people who happened to go through some unfortunate things that left them in hell, just like the prisoners Rin is working alongside. I loved the roles they ended up playing and how Tengoku Struggle: Strayside also took the time to tell their stories too.

Some minor things do come up that may keep Tengoku Struggle: Strayside from becoming someone's next favorite otome game. The more minor ones are some issues that came up likely during the editing and localization process, and I wouldn't be surprised if maybe a patch fixes up a few of those errors. Another issue is that this is absolutely a visual novel that feels like one route is the "right" and canon one. You won't see some of these loose threads tie up until that storyline, which is unfortunate. Especially since it is the last one you get to. However, because you do have to go through the others first, at least that offers some resolution for the other enemy and ally backstories.

On the plus side, even though there is so much going on in Tengoku Struggle: Strayside, it never feels like the romance is an afterthought. It's very well integrated into the story. We're really seeing Rin grow closer to the men she's working with, and we get these pay-off scenes in the end as a reward for it. Even some of the "bad" endings are interesting when we get to see what happens to Rin and the individuals as a result of things not going as planned.

Tengoku Struggle: Strayside is a delightful otome game. This is the one you pick up and play if you like a well-rounded world, a heroine who stands up for herself and has a personality, and a cast of heroes and villains who all feel interesting. It's easy to get invested in its story.

Tengoku Struggle: Strayside comes to the Nintendo Switch on April 4, 2024

Prisma Wing KonoSuba Megumin Figure Can Be Posed With an Eyepatch

Prime 1 Studio announced its Prisma Wing KonoSuba figure of Megumin, and it comes with a number of face and eye parts for different poses. The ¥41,690 (~$275) 1/7 scale figure will come to Japan in April 2025, and retailers like AmiAmi are offering worldwide shipping.

While most scale figures are static, there are multiple posing options for this version of Megumin. For example, all versions of the figure, regardless of where it is purchased, comes with two face parts. One features her smiling face as usual, and the other has her wearing her eyepatch. While AmiAmi isn't offering the additional bonus face plate of her winking, the Prime 1 Studio site does note it is available and offer it.

Here's how all the face part options look when used:

Those images also highlight two of the other optional posing parts for Megumin. She has two different left arm parts. In the Prime 1 Studio photo showing the version with both eyes visible, the arm part with her pointing is shown. In the one with her wearing the eyepatch, her left hand is brushing her hair out of her face.

Here are three other pictures Prime 1 Studios shared with us showing the Megumin KonoSuba figure in full. It also shows how she can be posed with or without her hat.

Megumin is one of the main characters in the series Konosuba. She's also the star of the spin-off Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World. She is often turned into figures or appears on merchandise, such as when she joined the Kadokawa Plastic Model Series.

The Prisma Wing KonoSuba Megumin figure will arrive in Japan in April 2025. The anime is streaming on Crunchyroll, with season 3 beginning to appear on the service. Yen Press handles the light novels and manga.

Call Of Duty Warzone Modern Warfare 3 MorsSeason Three of Call of Duty brings back the MORS sniper rifle from Advanced Warfare for use in Modern Warfare 3, Warzone, and the newly released Warzone Mobile. This rifle still packs a punch, even when compared to the newest Warzone snipers. Unlike other Warzone and MW3 sniper rifles, the MORS is a railgun that fires a single high-power shot before rechambering. Because it's from the future (the weapon originally debuted in 2014's Advanced Warfare) it never needs to reload. It's definitely one of the coolest weapons added to Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone this year, and this high-tech sniper is going to become a battle royale staple because of its damage and range. Best MORS Attachments in Call of Duty Screenshot: PC Invasion Because of its future tech, the MORS already has excellent damage, range, and stability, even when compared to Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone's extensive suite of sniper rifles. To find out how to unlock this aftermarket part, use this guide. MW3: How to unlock the JAK Shadow Titan Kit The first thing to take away from this guide is that the JAK Shadow Titan Kit is for the Bruen Mk9 LMG. It takes the large scale of the LMG and makes it smaller. So you get great maneuverability but at the cost of the magazine size. Second, like the JAK Feroicty Carbine Kit, you'll need to complete any five challenges from the first week of the season. This can be across the multiplayer of MW3, Warzone, or Zombies. Below, I'll break down which challenges you can complete to unlock the JAK Shadow Titan Kit in MW3. Multiplayer Get 35 Kills will using ADS with recommended LMGs Get 30 Kills via Quicks...

Tusk Of The Boar God Roll Best Perks Destiny 2Tusk of the Boar is a Strand Wave Frame Special Grenade Launcher that is going head to head with Forbearance, which is an Arc Wave Frame Special Grenade Launcher, in Destiny 2. In this guide, you'll learn whether Tusk of the Boar is better than Forbearance, how to get Tusk of the Boar, what perks Tusk of the Boar has, and what the Tusk of the Boar PvE God Roll is in Destiny 2. Tusk of the Boar vs. Forbearance in Destiny 2: Which is better? Image: Bungie On paper, Tusk of the Boar and Forbearance are very similar. They are both 72 RPM, both can get Ambitious Assassin and Chain Reaction, and both are Wave Frame Special Grenade Launchers. Tusk of the Boar is Strand and Forbearance is Arc, and Forbearance has slightly better stats all around. Is Tusk of the Boar good enough to dethrone Forbearance? I think that Forbearance is still one of the best add-clearing weapons in the game, and it's better than Tusk of the Boar. Stats aside, the one thing that makes Forbearan...
