Genshin Impact events - all current and upcoming events

What are the current and upcoming Genshin Impact events? A new version of Genshin Impact arrives every six weeks, complete with new characters, quests, and events. It's difficult to keep track of which events are currently running and if there are any new ones coming soon, so here's a schedule for all current and upcoming Genshin Impact events.

There are usually a number of Genshin Impact events running simultaneously, and they aren't just in-game events. HoYoverse often launches a web event every update, which gives players a chance to learn about the latest Genshin Impact characters through an interactive story told through a web browser. Like all gacha games, the rewards for completing events in Genshin Impact range from in-game items like primogems and mora, to real life prizes like mouse mats and plushies.

Genshin Impact banners rotate every few weeks on a precise schedule, and we always know what to expect thanks to regular updates from Hoyoverse. The developer of the anime game always keeps its fans in the loop with regular livestreams and social media updates, so you can plan where you want to spend your hard-earned primogems.

With a two to three-week turnaround for banners, the roster of Genshin Impact characters is constantly changing, and the free PC game regularly introduces two new characters to wish for.      Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 and 5080 specs just leaked, only one of them looks good

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 specs have just leaked, according to the latest word in the rumor mill, along with the RTX 5080 specs too. If these leaks are genuine, the new flagship Nvidia gaming GPU looks like a seriously powerful monster, but the RTX 5080 looks comparatively weak.

Not that this should worry Nvidia. With AMD expected to only be focusing on the mid-range GPU market when it launches its RDNA 4 architecture, Nvidia should end up having the flagship best graphics card market all to itself. Nvidia also hopefully learned a lesson with the launch of the GeForce RTX 4080 back in 2022, which is that you can't actually charge whatever you want for a graphics card if the value is terrible – people will just choose not to buy it. Nvidia later addressed this mistake with the cheaper and more powerful RTX 4080 Super earlier this year.

Capcom and Takara Tomy revealed Rathalos Prime as a new crossover toy between Monster Hunter and Transformers at the TGS 2024 Capcom Online Program. The companies have also opened pre-orders for the new action figure the following day.

Just like most other Transformers toys, this Rathalos Prime action figure will feature two forms. The owner will be able to have the figure either assume its Rathalos wyvern form or transform into a new robot form inspired by Optimus Prime. Takara Tomy will design the wyvern form to look as close as possible to the original Rathalos.

The transformable figure will be available with an MSRP of 7,150 yen (~$50). However, people can also place orders for the product on AmiAmi, which supports worldwide shipping with a discounted price of 5,720 yen (~$33). While the official announcement mentioned a Summer 2025 release window, retailers have placed late July 2025 as a more elaborate timeframe.

This figure will appear as part of Takara Tomy's new crossover-focused toy brand Synergenex. The company had earlier opened pre-orders for Spider Zoids, which consists of a set of crossover action figures between The Amazing Spider-Man and Zoids.

The Monster Hunter - Transformers crossover action figure of Rathalos Prime will be available in late July 2025.

Interview: Discussing Fairy Tail 2 Game Development, Characters, and DLC

Later this year, we'll get to explore alongside the Fairy Tale characters to go through the end of the anime and manga's story a new game called, appropriately enough Fairy Tail 2. To help prepared for what's to come in the sequel to the original title, Siliconera spoke with Producer Hiroshi Kataoka about the game. While we still need to wait to learn more about Fairy Tail 2 DLC, the initial insights help us get a better idea of what to expect come December 2024.

Jenni Lada: When did development on Fairy Tail 2 begin, and did was decision to develop it influenced by the anime production decision of Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest?

Hiroshi Kataoka: We received many requests for a sequel along with feedback on the first game, and thanks to all the players it continued to sell well over a long period of time, so we consulted with Kodansha (the IP holder) about making a game about the final chapter of the main series, which we were not able to depict in the previous title. It turns out that the anime adaptation of the 100 Years Quest, which is the sequel to the original work, was being planned including when it would air, so we decided to bring this game to the fans when interest in the IP is rekindled and at everyone is excited for it.

Which Fairy Tail arcs are represented in and most influential for Fairy Tail 2?

Kataoka: This title focuses on the final Alvarez Empire arc, and the story has been adjusted for a video game adaptation. In order to make the Alvarez Empire arc work as a game, we

determined that it would be "Fairy Tail vs. the Alvarez Empire" and aimed to make the combat team battles as much as possible, so we have adjusted the original series' story under the supervision of the series' creator [Hiro] Mashima-sensei in order to make it work.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3heQ9u42UY

What kind of input did Hiro Mashima have on the game and Fairy Tail 2 character designs?

Kataoka: Primarily if things were a fit for the Fairy Tail world, and his thoughts on ways to further please the fans. That means that he checks everything from the design of the characters and the adjustment of the story to make it work as a game, to the original story added just for this title and each game element and various resources including game text. All of these aspects have been supervised by Mashima-sensei.

Which pieces of fan feedback from the original Fairy Tail game affected the sequel?

Kataoka: We were fortunate to receive a lot of feedback and comments. After the release of the previous title, we received many requests for a sequel along with feedback on the game. Many were happy with having a game adaptation and they enjoyed the game, but they also wanted to see the final chapter adapted into a game, in particular having more focus on the characters, so we referenced these as we made this game.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wZWRDlkZho

How do you address character growth and development from the first game in FAIRY TAIL 2? Will we see all skills returning?

Kataoka: Skills have been reorganized to match the real-time and action elements and while some are returning, there are some brand new skills. Also, in battles, the central Fairy Rank system is designed to strengthen you as you attack, so it matches how battles develop and progress in the Fairy Tail series. When fans play this, they will see a very good representation of something unique to the Fairy Tail IP.

What does the roster of playable characters look like for Fairy Tail 2? We've already seen Natsu, Lucy, Gray, Ezra, and Wendy, for example. Will every character from the first Fairy Tail game return?

Kataoka: Right now, all I can say is that we'd like everyone to wait for upcoming news on which characters will be on the roster. But we have assembled it with "Fairy Tail vs. the Alvarez

Empire" as its base.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuaH90ELV8w

Additional characters like Levy and Lyon were included as DLC for the first Fairy Tail. Will they be included in the Fairy Tail 2 base game or would people like them be relegated to add-ons again?

Kataoka: Similarly, any information on DLC will be announced at a later date.

The original Fairy Tail game had cosmetic, character, and dungeon DLC. How well did those perform, in terms of sales? Which ones were most popular?

Kataoka: I will refrain answering the specific details of the popularity of the DLC, but fortunately each of the DLC released for the previous game has been well received.

Will we see a similar DLC approach in Fairy Tail 2 as in the original game?

Kataoka: To start, we have announced the details of our Digital Deluxe edition, and the content is a step above the previous game! You will not only find outfit collaborations with other Gust titles, but some additional items like Crystals and Lacrima Fragment, not to mention an alternative costume set. Also, those who buy the physical version of the game will be able to purchase the Digital Deluxe content as an upgrade pack.

As for DLC, we are considering various content that will make the game even more enjoyable, so please look forward to future updates.

The original Fairy Tail game appeared on the PS4, Switch, and PC. Have you considered bringing it to the PS5 as well?

Kataoka: At this point we do not have plans for that.

The Fairy Tail 2  release date is December 11, 2024 for the PC version on Steam, with the PS4 and Switch versions arriving on December 13, 2024.

Here Are the 5.1 Genshin Impact Special Program Primogem Codes

Each Genshin Impact Special Program includes Primogem codes, and HoYoVerse just shared the 5.1 ones. As is common and happened with the 5.0 ones, there are three codes to redeem. You have until the end of the day on September 27, 2024, or they run out, to get up to 300 Primogems and other items.

Here are the Genshin Impact Primogem codes for Special Program 5.1

The offer this time around is identical to past giveaways. You get up to 300 Primogems, depending on if you redeem each code. Each code also comes with another item you can spend on characters and equipment. So you earn 5 Hero's Wits, 10 Mystic Enhancement Ores, and 50,000 Mora as well.

Here are the September 27, 2024 Genshin Impact Primogem codes for 5.0:

  • KALF66CLGXKM: 100 Primogems, 5 Hero's Wits
  • PT5WP6D5GXJ9: 100 Primogems, 50,000 Mora
  • XSME6NV4GX2Z: 100 Primogems, 10 Mystic Enhancement Ores

Once claimed, the items show up as letters in your in-game inbox to claim.

The official site is how you enter and redeem all three codes if you play Genshin Impact on a PC. However, those on a console or mobile device need to take a different option. Go to the Account option in Settings while in-game. Enter them one by one there. If you aren't on PC and linked your account, you can use the site too.

As a reminder, this isn't the only way to add Primogem currency to your account for free at the moment. HoYoVerse announced a fourth anniversary login event. Starting on September 28, 2024, you can show up every day to claim Primogems and other items. That rollout runs until October 1, 2024, and you have until October 8, 2024 to call dibs on everything.

Genshin Impact is available on the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the 5.1 update release date is October 9, 2024. The 5.1 Special Program Genshin Impact Primogem codes can be used until either they run out or the end of the day on September 27, 2024. The Xbox Series X version of the game will launch on November 20, 2024.

Dragon Warrior 3

The Game Boy Color is often seen as a mid-generation upgrade for the Game Boy, but it's a distinctive platform with an impressive library all its own. While the Pokémon games were the most popular JRPGs on the handheld, they weren't the only ones. Here are some of the best JRPGs to play on Game Boy Color.

Pokemon Crystal

Pokemon Crystal

You really can't talk about the best JRPGs on Game Boy Color without mentioning Pokémon. Following up on the success of Pokémon Gold and Silver, Pokémon Crystal takes an already great game and adds a bunch of improvements. These include battle animations, new story elements, the option to play as a female trainer, and the thrilling Battle Tower. There's a large world to explore, tons of Pokémon to collect and train, and plenty of white-knuckled battles to tackle. It's a truly crowning achievement to cap off the Game Boy era of the Pokémon series.

Dragon Warrior 3

Dragon Warrior 3

Despite the Dragon Quest series having a spotty localization record during the late 1990s and early 2000s, it saw several games make their way to the West under its former moniker of Dragon Warrior. The Dragon Warrior Monsters games are also great, but this superb port of the third mainline game offers everything you could want in a classic JRPG. In some ways, it's still the best version of the game officially available in English, though that will likely change soon with the release of Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake.

Lufia: The Legend Returns

Lufia: The Legend Returns

The Lufia series hasn't seen a new entry in a very long time, but it holds a special place in the heart of many JRPG fans. Its first handheld outing, Lufia: The Legend Returns, takes place one hundred years after the events of the original game. Playing as a descendant of the hero Maxim, you'll face a new threat from the Sinestrals. If the main story isn't enough for you, the Ancient Cave returns from Lufia II: Rise of the Sinestrals with 200 procedurally-generated levels to explore.

Azure Dreams

Azure Dreams

A reflection of its time and place, the Game Boy Color installment in Konami's short-lived Azure Dreams series removes most of the cross-genre aspects of the PlayStation game in favor of a bigger tower to explore and a considerably greater number of monsters to collect. As a result of that, it loses some of the quirkiness of the previous game but in exchange offers a lot more for the player to do. While most of the roguelike elements have been retained, the new battle system is pure turn-based JRPG joy.

Metal Walker

Metal Walker

If you're looking for something a little different in the genre, Capcom's Metal Walker has you covered. At its heart, it's following in the footsteps of Pokémon with its collect 'em, evolve 'em, and battle 'em core loop. The mech theme helps it stand out, but what really makes Metal Walker different from other RPGs on the platform is in its then-unique combat system. You point your Metal Walker in the desired direction, set how much power you want to use, and watch it bounce around like a billiard ball. If you've ever played Monster Strike, it will be immediately familiar.

Let us know what you think are some of the best JRPGs release on the GameBoy Color below!
