A random promo image from Rockstar Games featuring the moon as seen in Grand Theft Auto V has led to a wild theory that, actually, the space orb that controls our tides in that image is really a clue pointing to when the next GTA 6 trailer will drop.

Future Diablo 4 seasons will offer more content to Vessel of Hatred owners

While it's certainly had its issues, Vessel of Hatred has mostly gone over well with Diablo 4 players - the new Spiritborn class is a popular and powerful new addition, and the swathe of gameplay additions and improvements that arrived alongside it have strengthened its position as an excellent ARPG. Diablo 4's sixth season, Season of Hatred Rising, also dropped alongside it, but all of its offerings could be enjoyed by everyone, with or without the DLC. However, it sounds like it's not going to stay that way, as Diablo general manager Rod Fergusson has revealed that future seasons will bring "exclusive" content to those that own Vessel of Hatred.

Of Ash and Steel is a stunning fantasy RPG with The Witcher energy

From The Witcher series to Fable, there are plenty of must-play, third-person fantasy RPGs out there. Most of the time, though, these grand experiences with their huge open worlds, thousands of lines of dialogue, and intricate combat and skill systems need a lot of resources. Imagine my surprise, then, when I saw Of Ash and Steel - a newly-revealed contender in the genre created by a small team of developers at indie studio Fire and Frost. Despite the size of the operation, this looks and feels like a project that's aiming to take on the triple-A big guns, judging by its remarkable reveal trailer.

Warzone removes fan-favorite map Rebirth Island just 3 hours after its return

While Call of Duty Warzone prepared for its big integration for Black Ops 6, fan-favorite map Rebirth Island was put on the substitute bench for a short while. Players have been eagerly awaiting its return to the map rotation, and earlier today their prayers were answered. However, after roughly three hours of being part of this week's Wazone playlist, Rebirth Island has been unceremoniously pulled from the FPS game due to a "map-specific issue."

Forgotten But Unbroken combines XCOM, Company of Heroes, and brutal realism

XCOM 2 is one of the best games I've played, partly because of how it organically creates characterization and drama. Dialogue is sparse. Cutscenes are few. But the sheer ardor of every battle, the chaos of its turn-based, dice-roll combat, and the spontaneous moments of glory that result mean that I feel more committed to my team of blank-slate soldiers than I do to some of gaming's most defined and verbose protagonists. Combining the Firaxis formula with inspirations from Company of Heroes and Commandos, a new WW2 strategy game balances the player-driven narrative of XCOM with researched historical realism. This is Forgotten But Unbroken, and it's available right now.

umamusume curtains

Cygames has released curtains that look like the starting gates when you pull in the Umamusume: Pretty Derby gacha. You will have until 3:00 PM JST of December 18, 2024 to put in your orders. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

There are three different versions of the Umamusume: Pretty Derby starting gates curtains: silver, gold, and rainbow. The color of the starting gates in-game correspond to the rarity of the horse girl you got. Like the real-life gacha, you actually cannot choose which curtain you get. Instead, it costs 6800 JPY ($44) for a random curtain. To increase your chances of getting one of the rarer versions, you can also buy a 10-pull for 68,000 JPY ($439.80).

Umamusume: Pretty Derby is one of the more profitable and popular franchises from Cygames, with the company announcing in May 2024 that the game made them over 2.4 billion JPY in revenue. This number accounts for over 70% of the money Cygames made on mobage between February 2021 and March 2024, and that's not even taking into consideration profits from the anime, movies, and merchandise. The game focuses on collecting horse girls based on real-life race horses, raising them, and then racing them. It also features a main story mode, as well as individual character stories you can play through after pulling a girl.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby is readily available on mobile devices. The English version of the game is in development.

This raid features armor inspired by the MMORPG, which can be obtained weekly. At least until this content is no longer "fresh." Previously, Square Enix even hosted a special campaign to try and convince Final Fantasy XIV players to at least given the older MMORPG an attempt as a means to ease sever congestion.

Dynasty Warriors Origins Demo

A Dynasty Warriors: Origins demo will appear on the PlayStation 5 on November 22, 2024. This information was revealed through a PlayStation Blog, which included details of what features will be available to players.

The demo will take players to the Battle of Sishui Gate, which was part of the demo available at Tokyo Game Show 2024. However, Tomiko Sho, Dynasty Warriors: Origins producer & Head of Omega Force at Koei Tecmo, revealed that a few more features that weren't available for that specific demo will appear.

Players will be able to pick from a total of four weapons. This includes the Sword, Guandao, Pudao, and Wheels. Customization for Arts, Gems, and Accessories will also be possible. And on top of that, series menace and man who you definitely don't want to approach, Lu Bu, will be menacing the battlefield.

Pre-orders for Dynasty Warriors: Origins will open up alongside the release of the demo.

A total of 47 characters will return in Dynasty Warriors: Origins. However, not all characters will see their Japanese voice actors returning to reprise their roles. Regardless, that's still a pretty hefty amount of familiar faces that will show up in Origins.

Koei Tecmo will release Dynasty Warriors Origins for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC simultaneously worldwide on January 17, 2025. A demo will be made available for the PlayStation 5 on November 22, 2024. Pre-orders will also open the same day.

gundam seed freedom zero

Sunrise has revealed a new trailer for Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom Zero, which will take place between Destiny and Freedom. This trailer uses content that appeared at the end of the theatrical version of the Special Edition. [Thanks, Dengeki Online!]

You can watch the trailer here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29Fd4npOPVA

It's quite short and there's no dialogue. Instead, it shows the main characters as they go about their daily lives and work, with only one clip of Gundams fighting. At the end, the text for "In production" appears. More details on the movie will come out closer to when Sunrise is ready to release it.

Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom is a movie based on the Gundam Seed series, and it chronologically takes place after the events of Gundam Seed Destiny. The movie was incredibly popular, with Sunrise announcing in April 2024 that it grossed over 4.52 billion JPY within Japan alone. That number would convert to around $2.877 million (at the time).

Blu-Ray editions of the movie will also come out soon for those who wish to own this film. Sales will begin on December 25, 2024 and there are multiple versions to buy. The most expensive package is the Mighty Edition, which costs 27,500 JPY ($177.80). This will come with exclusive goods like a Limited Clear HG 1/144 Mighty Strike Freedom Gunpla, script copies, and an art book.

Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom Zero is in production, with more details on it to appear later.
