Free-to-play Star Wars game scraps Steam launch and will shut down soon

Ubisoft's mediocre Star Wars Outlaws was of course the big new Star Wars game of last year, but it wasn't the only one to drop. A free-to-play Star Wars hero shooter also emerged on Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms, and was destined to come to PC in 2025. However, just eight months on from its initial launch, the developers of Star Wars Hunters have revealed that its next update will be its last, its servers will be shut down later in the year, and that its Steam launch is being abandoned.

AMD Ryzen CPUs are obliterating Intel retail sales charts, thanks to PC gamers

AMD Ryzen CPUs are riding a wave of popularity right now, and the latest best seller charts show them completely annihilating the competition from Intel. What's more, most of the Intel chips that are being bought are now over a year old, with its new Core Ultra CPUs sitting a long way down people's shopping lists.

As we found in our Ryzen 7 9800X3D review, AMD's latest CPU architecture is an absolute beast for gaming, especially when it's equipped with 3D V-cache. It's unequivocally the best gaming CPU you can buy right now, and it's proving incredibly popular. I've just tracked the best seller charts at a number of retailers, and they all point to the same picture – AMD is selling loads of its CPUs, particularly when it comes to X3D, while Intel chips are a long way down the charts.

330 million hours were spent playing games on a Steam Deck in 2024, claims Valve

The Steam Deck is growing from strength to strength. Valve's recently released Steam Year in Review for 2024 revealed that, from a hardware point of view, the Steam Deck is proving to be a major success for the company, with a huge 64% increase in playtime hours on the handheld gaming PC compared to the year before.

It's no surprise to see the Steam Deck become such a valuable asset for gamers – it's kickstarted an entirely new ecosystem for PC gamers. You can't consider the best gaming handheld PCs without thinking about this particular Valve handheld, and with SteamOS now launching on other third-party handhelds, the company's grasp on the entire market is growing ever stronger.

Gorgeous Valheim style survival game Aska adds lakes and outposts in new update

There's something so alluring about Norse mythology. Perhaps it's the influence that TV shows like Vikings or movies such as Thor have had on popular culture, or it's the idea of seemingly limitless freedom that ends in a good ol' drinking session. Either way, games like Valheim and God of War are, in my opinion, special because of their setting and storylines versus their gameplay. Hoping to etch its name into videogame history is Aska, a survival game akin to Iron Gate's magnum opus. Having launched in early access in June 2024, it's performing pretty well on Steam, and its new Lakes and Outposts update presents the perfect opportunity to jump in.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 pricing will

Good news could be on the horizon for gamers who want to get their hands on a new Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 or, indeed, any of the GPU maker's brand-new graphics cards. The company claims that it expects prices for its new RTX 50-series cards to "stabilize" once stock levels have improved, insisting that it's "working closely" with partners to make that a reality.

It's fair to say that, from a gamer's point of view, Nvidia hasn't had complete success with the launch of its latest RTX 50-series gaming GPUs. While the RTX 5090 is certainly the best graphics card you can buy in terms of sheer power, not enough gamers have been able to buy one, let alone the rest of the lineup, with the pressure from scalpers and stock shortages leaving prices sky-high compared to their MSRPs.

You won't need the best graphics card to play WWE 2K25 on PC, and if you were able to play 2K24 with decent performance, you're already set for this installment. Very few changes have been made, but you are going to need some more RAM if your gaming PC is still stuck at 8GB.      Where to buy 9070 XT - AMD RX 9070 XT stock guide

Trying to find out where to buy the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU? Well, we're here to help you with that. We've checked the virtual store shelves of retailers around the world to find where AMD's most powerful RDNA 4 gaming GPU is either in stock, available for pre-order, or where you can set up stock notifications for the new card.

As our RX 9070 XT review showed, this AMD GPU is the champion of the mid-range market, with a fantastic price/performance ratio that makes it the best graphics card to buy for around $600. However, despite assurances from AMD that RX 9070 XT stock would be widely available at launch, cards sell out very quickly, so you'll have to be quick on the draw to grab one.

The official RX 9070 XT price is $599 / $865 CAD / £569 / AU$870, so that's the price you should be hoping to pay for entry-level versions of the GPU. However, card makers such as Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, and Sapphire also produce souped up overclocked cards that demand more money, but we wouldn't recommend paying more than $100 above those MSRPs.

Victrix Pro KO Leverless Fight Stick review: a must-have controller for pros

Leverless fight sticks have gained a lot of traction over the past few years, and veteran esports competitors with decades of arcade stick experience have been switching over to all-button controllers. Victrix (owned by Turtle Beach) is known for its premium fight sticks that unsurprisingly come with expensive price tags. However, the leverless market is not the same as it was only a couple of years ago. Nowadays, players have more options than ever before when it comes to picking the best PC controller, which makes it harder to stand out from the crowd. Priced at $249.99 / £229.99, the Pro KO provides you with options never before seen on a leverless controller, but will you actually benefit from these additions?

What can we learn about games by comparing the thrill of a nailgun kill in Quake to the elation of triple word score in online Scrabble? For Richard Garfield, creator of Magic: The Gathering and KeyForge, it's actually quite a bit.

Taking place over progressive rounds in which you'll pick and assign your force to capture victory points over an expanding tileset, Vanguard Exiles exists because Garfield is "smitten" with autobattlers, a love he traces back to an "epiphany" he had in the 90s thinking about the different roles a computer could play in both natively digital games and what he calls "paper games".

"Yet they were both games," Garfield tells me over call, "I was playing them both digitally. The computer is vital. It serves a really good purpose, and yet, when you play [an autobattler], it feels like you're playing a paper game. You can sit back, think about your moves and understand really everything about the game before you execute, which is not the standard in a lot of digital games."

honkai star rail white day 2025

HoYoVerse has uploaded three illustrations to the official Honkai: Star Rail X (formerly Twitter) account to celebrate White Day 2025. This year, we have Jiaoqiu, Boothill, and Aventurine.

Like the previous years, a short description of the snack they give you accompanies each picture. Aventurine gives you a custom gift box that smells like golden kumquat and red currant, and it's full of different snacks from various regions. Boothill gives you a bullet with a satin ribbon around it. According to the description, this is a real bullet, and not a bullet-shaped chocolate. Finally, Jiaoqiu gives you a hot pot-flavored pastry inside a bamboo steamer. You can look at the White Day 2025 illustrations via the Honkai: Star Rail X account.

All three characters this year are limited 5-star units. Aventurine is an Imaginary Preservation, Boothill is a Physical Hunt, and Jiaoqiu is a Fire Nihility. Objectively, of the three, Aventurine is likely the most popular character. HoYoVerse released goods that draw inspiration from him in 2024, as well as announced a set of apparel based on his design in March 2025. Back in April 2024, before he even came out, some of his fans even adopted a peacock in the Dalian Forest Zoo in China and named it after him.

Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on the PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. Mydei, the newest 5-star character, will make his playable debut on March 19, 2025.

genshin impact white day 2025

For White Day 2025, HoYoVerse shared three special illustrations of Genshin Impact characters giving the viewer a return gift. This year, we have Ororon, Sethos, and Seymour.

Like in the previous years, a short blurb of the character talking to you accompanies each picture. Ororon gives you some "sweeter-than-life" honey and "bitterness-begone" chocolate. He also protected the snacks from a potential thief. Sethos gives you "Mystery Candy" that tastes like the starry sky, while also commenting on the number of characters lining up to give you a gift. Finally, Seymour doesn't actually give you anything, though he teases Paimon about all the desserts she's imagining. You can check out the White Day 2025 illustrations on the official Genshin Impact X (formerly Twitter) account.

Both Ororon and Sethos are 4-star Electro Bow users in Genshin Impact, though they're from different regions. Ororon is from Natlan, while Sethos is from Sumeru. Meanwhile, Seymour is an NPC from a Fontaine world quest. The addition of important NPCs rather than using playable characters for all three White Day illustrations started on Valentine's Day 2024. Jeht was one of the characters giving you chocolate that day.

Steam isn't known for its excellent selection of otome games, but if you dig deep enough you will find a number of gems. The Steam Spring Sale is the perfect time to dive into the romance genre, as many of the best games are available at a deep discount. If you're looking for some great otome games to expand your Steam collection then we've got ten that are worth picking up.

Here are the ten best otome games available during the Steam Spring Sale.

7'scarlet

Screenshot from 7'scarlet. Our heroine is talking to a man in a forest clearing.

7'scarlet is a supernatural mystery novel first and a romance adventure second but that doesn't mean it's lacking handsome husbandos to smooch. Our protagonist travels to the rural Japanese village where her brother was last seen, with the idea of staying at the local ryokan until she finds him. With the help of the people of the village she realizes that everything in this quiet town isn't quite what it seems.

7'scarlet costs $7.49 during the Steam Spring Sale.

Psychedelia of the Ashen Hawk

Screenshot from Psychedelia of the Ashen Hawk. A man leans over a boy lying in bed.

Another supernatural mystery, Psychedelia of the Ashen Hawk doesn't follow the standard otome formula. Rather than choosing a route, there is one common route and your decisions dictate what ending you get. There is no bad or good ending for each sweetheart, or even a true ending at the end of your journey. Psychedelia of the Ashen Hawk tells the story of a woman living life as a man, lest she be outed as a witch, in a town no one can leave that is set in perpetual winter. Another standalone game in the series Psychedelia of the Black Butterfly is also on sale.

Psychedelia of the Ashen Hawk is reduced to $7.49 during the Steam Spring Sale.

Stardew Valley

Screenshot of Stardew Valley. A farmer walks around their well made farm.
Image via Concerned Ape

Stardew Valley isn't technically an otome, but it has romance options and is an amazing deal during the Steam Spring Sale. After inheriting a farm in Stardew Valley from your grandfather, you move to the village to start your new life. Alongside romancing the various residents of the town, you build and manage your farm, go mining, fishing, attend festivals, and everything else cute and cozy. A beautiful adventure that will make you dream of rural life.

Stardew Valley is available for $8.99 until the end of the Steam Spring Sale.

Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds

Screenshot from Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds. A man holds a katana to a woman's throat.

Both Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds and Edo Blossoms are discounted during the Steam Spring sale, but you should definitely play Kyoto Winds first if you haven't tried the series before. Surrounded by hunky samurai from the shinsengumi during the Edo period in Japan, it tells an old-school story, with a supernatural twist. Hakuoki is known for its huge number of suitors, and if you don't mind letting your boyfriend drink your blood now and then, this is the game for you.

Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds is priced at $5.99 during the Steam Spring Sale.

Ozmafia!

Screenshot from Ozmafia. Three people look at the camera.

Ozmafia! has 13 different love interests, vast branching routes with multiple endings each, and an overarching story, or Grand Route, if you manage to romance them all. Waking up with no memory in a war torn world, you get closer to those around you in the hope that you can all survive. A story that goes in every way possible with a huge pay off at the end.

Ozmafia! costs $17.49 until the end of the Steam Spring Sale.

London Detective Mysteria

Screenshot from London Detective Mysteria. A butler is stood behind a young woman in a ballgown.

London Detective Mysteria is one of the beefier otome games out there, with a large number of suitors and very long varied stories for each potential companion. Attending a detective school for those gifted in the art of deduction, you'll meet – and can romance – famous characters from crime fact and fiction, such as Sherlock Holmes, John Watson, Arsène Lupin, and Jack the Ripper. The perfect otome game for those who want to spend a long time wrapped up in a single world.

London Detective Mysteria is $14.99 until the end of the Steam Spring Sale.

Taisho X Alice

Screenshot from Taisho X Alice. A male Princess Kaguya looks up at the player.

An episodic visual novel based on popular fairy tales, Taisho X Alice is an otome for those who want to be carried away in the fantasy. Across the game's three episodes and epilogue you'll romance seven gender-swapped fairytale princesses like Red Riding Hood, Snow White, and Cinderella. An otome for those who like twists on traditional stories.

Every episode of Taisho X Alice can be purchased as a bundle during the Steam Spring Sale for $14.99.

Amnesia: Memories

Screenshot from Amnesia: Memories. A man bites a ring and looks at the camera.

Amnesia: Memories is a classic game in the otome genre, and is the first game that many fans of the genre played. Waking up with no memory, and a pixie called Orion that only you can see, you try to find out what your life was like before without letting those around you learn how vulnerable you are. Whether you want a man who women find irresistible, or one who doesn't understand social cues at all, then Amnesia: Memories is the classic for you.

Amnesia: Memories is just $5.99 during the Steam Spring Sale.

Steam Prison

Screenshot from Steam Prison. Three me and a woman sit around a heater

In a world of the haves and the have nots, our heroine lives in the utopia of the Heights, looking down on all those who live in the Depths. However, after being framed for her parents murder she is dropped below, and must befriend the hunky civilians in order to survive. The overall concept is strong, but the characterization is a little weaker, so it's one we wouldn't recommend if you are just dipping your toes into the genre.

Steam Prison is $17.49 until the end of the Steam Spring Sale.

Nightshade

Screenshot from Nightshade of a group of characters gathered around.

If you didn't get your fill of samurai hotties with the Hakuoki series, then Nightshade should fill the gap. More than just full of enticing romances, Nightshade has five routes, and goes heavy on the world building of the lives of people in the Sengoku period. An otome with a traditional story structure, but has made sure that everything is well put together.

Nightshade costs $19.24 during the Steam Spring Sale.

The Steam Spring Sale is on now and ends on March 20, 2025.

Under Ichigo idol concert rhythm game appearing for free worldwide on PC Steam

DLsite has released a new Japanese idol group-themed concert rhythm game on the PC gaming platform Steam. The game is titled Under Ichigo: Love me baby!!! in Tokyo Super Arena 2025. All users on the platform can get it for free and play it with subtitles in Japanese, English, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.

This game contains eight songs performed by the Under Ichigo group, which consists of Himeka "Hime-chan" Momoyama, Miyu "MyuMyu" Yuzuhara, and Mei "MeiMei" Aoyama. The game's venue, which is named Tokyo Super Arena, is actually a fictional representation of the Saitama Super Arena.

The new game has outfit selection and formation position features that are also commonly seen in other similar games, such as Bandai Namco's Idolm@ster series. However, this game will distinguish itself with the custom vocal distribution system. Players will be able to choose which among the three idols will sing specific parts of the songs, irrespective of their locations. They can then save up to three vocal sets. The game will also have preset examples focusing on each particular idol.

Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion anime TV episodes appearing for free temporarily on YouTube

Sunrise has revealed that it will gradually publish Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion episodes for free, temporarily, on YouTube. The studio is making this campaign to celebrate the first anniversary of the official Code Geass channel established on the popular video platform.

The announcement also includes a schedule for the episodes' airing times. Sunrise will gradually publish episodes from both seasons of the Lelouch of the Rebellion sub-series every Friday and Sunday at 9 PM JST (8 AM EDT), starting on March 21, 2025. Each episode will also be available for only ten days except for the first episode, which will remain available until the final R2 episode that airs on September 19, 2025, expires on September 28, 2025.

The official teaser video is also available to watch right below. But while it is also viewable outside Japan, it remains to be seen whether the actual episodes that appear from March 21, 2025, will be available worldwide or not. This is because Japanese publishers often limit their anime episode accesses to Japan only, as in the case with Shueisha's Jump Anime Festival.

Anime episodes of the 2006 show Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion and the 2008 second season R2 will appear on the franchise's official Youtube channel from March 21 until September 28, 2025.

The Steam Spring Sale can often be overwhelming, with thousands of titles slashed in price, it can be hard to figure out which games are a good deal. There is also the problem of choice, and gamers don't want to spend their hard earned cash on a game they don't like. If you're an RPG fan, then we've rounded up ten of the best RPGs in the Steam Spring Sale that are worth both your time and money.

Here are our recommendations for the best value RPGs in the Steam Spring Sale.

Chrono Trigger

Screenshot from the Chrono Trigger trial scene

Chrono Trigger is one of the best games of all time, and while the Steam version isn't the best, this Steam Spring Sale discount is still a bargain. One of the most iconic turn-based RPGs, Chrono Trigger is about exploring time periods, and getting dragged into a quest far bigger than yourself. With seven recruitable characters, and 12 different endings, Chrono Trigger set up many features that great RPGs use to this day.

Chrono Trigger is available for $3.74 until the end of the Steam Spring Sale.

Yakuza 0

Screenshot from Yakuza 0. Akira Nishikiyama and Kazuma Kiryu stand with their backs to the camera. They have no shirts on and their yakuza tattoos are just black outlines.

All of the Yakuza games are available during the Steam Spring Sale, but we recommend Yakuza 0 as a starting point if you haven't played anything from the series. Yakuza 0 is not only chronologically the first game in the series, telling the back story to two of the series' main characters Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima, but it's also one of the best. This action RPG series is one that every RPG fan should try.

Yakuza 0 costs just $10.99 during the Steam Spring Sale.

Persona 4 Golden

Screenshot from Persona 4 Golden showing the crew stood around a dance floor

Like the Yakuza series, the modern Persona series including recent releases like Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor: ReFantazio, are all available during the Steam Spring Sale, but we're recommending Persona 4 Golden. It's one of the lesser played games in the series as it was a PlayStation Vita exclusive for almost a decade, and as all Persona games are standalone stories, it's a great place to dive in. This turn-based RPG asks you to strengthen your friendships to unlock your true power.

Persona 4 Golden can be bought for just $11.99 during the Steam Spring Sale.

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 Remix

Screenshot from Kingdom Hearts. Sora, Aladdin and Donald Duck are fighting some heartless in Agrabah.

This one is more expensive than most games on this list, but it also includes four Kingdom Hearts games and two movies. Another classic RPG series, Kingdom Hearts blends Final Fantasy and Disney characters in an action RPG with a completely unique battle system. The Remix collection includes the first two mainline games as well as Birth By Sleep, Re:chain of Memories, and a cutscene collection from 358/2, and Re:coded. It's a great starting point in the series.

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 Remix costs $29.99 until the end of the Steam Spring Sale.

Final Fantasy VII

Screenshot from Final Fantasy 7. Cloud, Yuffie and Vincent take on a late-game enemy.

When it comes to classic RPGs there isn't anything more iconic than Final Fantasy VII. You can also purchase the remakes during the Steam Spring Sale, but the original game is available at an incredible price. Take on the epic adventure, which sees Cloud and his clan travel across the continent, visiting different towns and cultures, and discovering who the true enemy is along the way, with a deep turn-based battle system.

The original Final Fantasy VII is just $4.79 during the Steam Spring Sale.

Nier: Automata

If you like RPGs that challenge your preconceptions, and break the fourth wall with unexpected twists, then action RPG Nier: Automata is for you. Not only does it look gorgeous even with its fast-paced combat system, but it combines this with its well-built world, and engaging storyline. With multiple endings that require multiple playthroughs to see them all, Nier: Automata asks you to question what you believe about the genre.

Nier: Automata costs just $15.99 during the Steam Spring Sale.

Live A Live

Screenshot of Live A Live. A character runs across the rooftops of Edo Japan.

A gorgeous 2DHD remake of a classic turn-based RPG, Live A Live tells eight separate stories across different time periods, protagonists, and gaming genres, before they all align for one final adventure. Live A Live is a fighting game, a tower defense game, a stealth game, and a visual novel as well as an RPG, and it blends everything together beautifully and seamlessly. A must-play older game that everyone should experience.

Live A Live is available for $19.99 until the end of the Steam Spring Sale.

Lies of P

A more modern game than most on this list – hence the price – we've added Lies of P as our soulslike of choice as it's a great entry point for this subsection of the RPG genre. Far more story heavy than other soulslike games, Lies of P tells a steampunk Pinocchio story with challenging combat, and choices that have major outcomes on the story.

Lies of P is on sale for $35.99 during the Steam Spring Sale.

Trails of Cold Steel

Starting in 1989, there are few series that are as long-lasting as The Legend of Heroes, and almost all of these games are on offer as part of the Steam Spring Sale. Trails of Cold Steel is one of the best games to jump into as it includes a four game story arc with a satisfying start and end. Once you get into the turn-based RPG series there are so many other games to explore that your wallet might just regret grabbing this first game.

Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel currently costs $19.99 during the Steam Spring Sale.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch

Screenshot by Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch of the characters running away from a robot.

One of the most popular RPGs from the PS3 era, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch combines whimsical storytelling, and the gorgeous art style of Studio Ghibli. Evocative voice acting brings the whole world to life as you feel as if you are living in a Ghibli movie while playing this turn-based RPG. This is the perfect game if you're looking for somewhere whimsical to get lost in and escape.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch costs $7.49 during the Steam Spring Sale.

The Steam Spring Sale is on now, and ends on March 20.

Saber Alter Altria Pendragon Fate Grand Order Ascension dress figure by Alter

Alter has revealed a new figure featuring the Fate/Grand Order Saber Alter version of Altria Pendragon, who is also alternatively known as Artoria Pendragon. The company will release the figure with the title "Star of Twilight" in March 2026.

This figure will primarily depict Saber Alter in the outfits that she wears after players have unlocked her late-stage Ascensions, and both dress options will be available. Alter will provide swappable parts that let the owner choose between the longer dress skirt from Stage 3 and the shorter one from Stage 4.

As the 1/7 scale figure is set to depict the character sitting on the floor, the overall height will be just 13 cm (~5.12 inches). Alter also shared that the figure's total length—presumably with the long dress part equipped—will be around 27 cm (~10.63 inches).

Alter will sell the figure exclusively on AmiAmi. However, the latter also makes the figure available to order on its English website, so people from all around the world can get the figure at 37,180 yen (~$250.70).

The new figure featuring the Saber Alter Star of Twilight version of Artoria/Altria Pendragon from Fate/Grand Order will be available to ship worldwide in March 2026. Type-Moon's Takashi Takeuchi expects the popular mobile game that launched for Android and iOS devices in late July 2015 to continue running past its 11th year.

arknights elysium

The official X (formerly Twitter) account for Arknights announced that Showtaro Morikubo will be removed from his role as Elysium for "various reasons." Hypergryph has not yet stated whether the replacement actor will re-voice all of Elysium's previous lines.

Prior to the official announcement, the March 14, 2025 patch notes on the Chinese version's Weibo account had hinted at Morikubo's departure. One of the new fixes included the deletion of certain voice resources. At the time, the patch notes did not state which character this would affect. However, many replies to the Weibo post and Twitter guessed that Hypergryph would remove Morikubo. This is because of another recent incident regarding him and a Chinese game company.

On March 12, 2025, the official Genshin Impact X account announced it would remove Showtaro Morikubo from his role as Ifa. Like with the Arknights post, it did not state the reason behind this decision. However, many fans have speculated that it's due to his appearance in the reading of Inochigake no Shougen, which may have caught the Chinese government's attention and in turn put pressure on companies like HoYoVerse and Hypergryph. Inochigake no Shougen, based on the book of the same name, highlights the Chinese government's persecution of the Uyghur ethnic group.

This is not the first time that Chinese game companies removed a Japanese voice actor for political reasons. In July 2021, Ai Kayano was recast from her roles in Azur Lane and Arknights after she visited the Yasukuni Shrine. The shrine is controversial, as it enshrines war criminals from World War II, and visits to it tend to draw negative attention from Chinese and Korean citizens.

Arknights is readily available on mobile devices. As of March 14, 2025, Showtaro Morikubo is no longer voicing Elysium in Arknights.

Verse Piece traits tier list for the Vergil Rerun update that goes as follows: S+ tier: Black Silence, Son of Rowan, Monarch; A tier: Rejected Zenin, Betrayer, Chosen One, Fisherman; B tier: Demon Lord, Shadow King, The Alpha and The Omega, Rage Revenge, Honored One, Soul Punisher; C tier: Zenin, Heavenly Restriction, King, Zoldyck, God-Like, Spiritual, Armageddon; D tier: Divine, Special Master, Weapon Master, Hunter Dawn, Super Human, Super Neutral
Image via TierMaker

The above tier list ranks all Verse Piece traits from best to worst based on how much they increase your damage and stats overall. In general, higher damage multiplier values give you more DPS than flat Special and Sword stat bonuses. Defense stat bonuses are exponentially stronger if you pair them up with a race such as Half Cyborg.

How do Traits Work in Verse Piece?

In Verse Piece, traits multiply your damage no matter what Weapon, Spec, or Fruit you are using. This increase in damage becomes much more noticeable when you boost them with the right trait passives. Most traits in Verse Piece increase your stats as well. Some traits give you titles, like the Honored One, while others, such as Zenin and Heavenly Restriction, are used to acquire Maki and Toji weapons.

How to Get Traits in Verse Piece

The Reroll Trait NPC in Verse Piece
Screenshot by Destructoid

You can reroll traits in Verse Piece by paying five gems to the Traits Reroll NPC. You can find them on the Frost Town island. There is a safety feature when rerolling that requires you to confirm if you want to reroll Legendary, Mythic, or Exotic traits, so reroll without worries. You can see your current trait in Verse Piece, the damage multiplier, and the stat points it gives you in your character menu.

How to Store Traits in Verse Piece

In Verse Piece, if you want to save one of the traits you rolled for later use in getting a weapon or a spec that requires it, you can store it in your trait storage. Keep in mind that you first need to unlock trait storage slots by using the Trait Storage material.

You can purchase Trait Storage from the Adventure Shop on the Merchant Island or trade for it with someone. Later, you will want to have at least one trait storage slot because it allows you to save your current trait before rerolling.

Verse Piece Trait Progression

When you just start out in the Verse Piece world, try to get traits like God-Like or Spiritual because of the stat boost they provide. For the mid-game, Zenin and Heavenly Restriction boost your damage while allowing you to obtain legendary-tier weapons, so go for them. However, later on, Mythic and Exotic tier traits are the way to go if you want to stay competitive in Verse Piece.

Honored One is the best Mythic trait because of the title you get with it, while Rage Revenge offers slightly more damage. Your end-game goals should be Monarch, Rejected Zenin, and the Betrayer, as they are the best traits in Verse Piece.

This is it for our Verse Piece traits guide. If you are looking to claim some freebies, including free Race Rerolls and Storage, then check out our list of Verse Piece codes.

a very well-lit infected in Ravenholm from Half-Life 2

To accompany the just-released NVIDIA RTX Remix featuring DLSS 4 and RTX Neural Shaders, we can soon visit the classic horror level from Half-Life 2 featuring the complete RTX package. Technically, it looks great, but do we like it?

https://youtu.be/j31ISEd8xRM

The remaster was made by Orbifold Studios, a community studio that clearly cares about the game. I love seeing Valve and NVIDIA not only allowing the existence of remasters such as these but straight-up promoting them via their official channels. Still, many fans likely won't be pleased by this trip down memory lane.

We don't go to Ravenholm RTX

Ravenholm looks very well-lit in RTX, probably too much so. Like, the game itself looks spectacular — especially for something that's over two decades old. Still, this is absolutely not the vibe we got from the original Ravenholm — and likely not what the devs had intended it to feel like when sending us in there.

Ravenholm is the most unique of all the locations in the two mainline Half-Life games. It was meant as a peculiar palate cleanser, one where the game would make a turn to full-on horror territory for one level, and people loved it. To this day, Ravenholm is one of the most well-remembered areas in the history of FPS games. Fans love it because it manages to perfectly adapt Half-Life 2's smart puzzles to this hellish survival horror-esque scenario. We know Valve also thinks Ravenholm is special because they've talked about it at length, but because they heavily featured it as far back as Half-Life 2's first gameplay reveal to showcase its excellent usage of the game's (then) new physics prowess.

https://youtu.be/CaHtOISsLT4?t=486

Ravenholm also served as a great showcase for lighting by featuring an unnerving lack of lit areas. It used to be dark and scary, the place "you don't go to." Now it looks almost inviting, which probably isn't ideal for a horror level.

I'm sure many of the options will be customizable, meaning that we'll probably get to tweak RTX Ravenholm to be scarier, but I just don't get why they'd decide to show it in what looks like daytime.

Still, I'm glad that it exists because it doesn't replace the classic mode and is a neat addition that might bring in new fans. Also, I'm pretty sure the rest of the game can look fantastic through the RTX lens. For now, you'll be able to experience Ravenholm RTX on March 18.

Gazing at the moon in Windward Plains

While the map shows the time of day and the monster population, one crucial detail it leaves out is the ever-changing moon phases. Tracking these stages is essential for farming Nightflower Pollen, a valuable resource for crafting rare gear. Let's break down all moon phases in Monster Hunter Wilds.

MH Wilds moon phases, explained

The skies of the Forbidden Lands display seven moon phases, which will change each day. You can simply walk outside at night to see what phase is active. The game doesn't exactly explain what each of them means, so here's an explanation for each moon phase:

Days Moon Phases What They Look Like
Day 1 Waning Gibbous Waning Gibbous moon phase
Day 2 Third Quarter Third quarter moon phase
Day 3 Waning Crescent Waning Crescent moon phase
Day 4 Waxing Crescent Waxing Crescent moon phase
Day 5 First Quarter First quarter moon phase
Day 6 Waxing Gibbous Waxing Gibbous moon phase
Day 7 Full Moon Full Moon phase in MH Wilds

The Nightflower Pollen will only appear during the Full Moon, so you'll need to wait for this phase to get them to bloom. I found it best to explore zones like Windward Plain's Area 4 (above level) during the Evening and then wait for the pollen to bloom. Some quests can also help you reach the Full Moon faster; however, it's not always guaranteed now that Nightflower Pollen farming has been nerfed. This method previously allowed players to activate the Full Moon phase with the Desert Knows Not the Sea quest. But now, the phases are randomized during missions and won't always spawn in the pollen.

Windward Plains Area 4
Screenshot by Destructoid

The other phases hold little significance on their own, serving mostly as markers to help you track where you are in the week cycle. For example, if you're on the Waxious Gibbious phase, you're only one day away (in-game time) from the Full Moon.

How to change moon phases fast in MH Wilds

While you could just live out each day to change the moon phases naturally, you can speed up the process by resting at your Base Camp or Portable BBQ Grill. When you unlock High Rank (raise your Hunter Rank), you'll unlock this feature at the postgame stage. Just change the Environment Overview to 'Evening'/'Nighttime' and 'Plenty' to get the most materials and monsters. It'll cost you 300 Guild Points each time, so you may need to complete some missions to farm these points.

Resting at the grill in MH Wilds
Screenshot by Destructoid

Those who use the Portable BBQ Grill will wake up at the nearest Base Camp. If you want to stick around the same spot, I suggest resting at a Pop Up Camp instead. That way, you can save yourself traveling time.

'Can't change moon phase' fix

Some players have noted that the moon phases don't change despite initiating the rest method. If this is happening to you, you may need to progress in the main campaign or re-load the main menu. Occasionally, quests will have the same cycle repeatedly, so you'll likely need to focus on the main story. Or, you can try to re-load the main menu to give it a refresher.

All Fortnite Shadow Briefing Locations in Chapter 5 Season 4

The brand new season of Fortnite has once again changed up the locations of all the Shadow Briefings, which are a crucial part of the shooter. You can take on challenges to earn bonus XP and rewards for completing the Shadow Briefing mission in time. Here's where you can find all of the Fortnite Shadow Briefing Locations in Chapter 6 Season 2.

Shadow Briefing Locations in Chapter 6 Season 2

In Chapter 6 Season 2, there are 21 total Shadow Briefing spawn locations in Fortnite. It's important to keep in mind that the Shadow Briefing terminal won't spawn at all of these locations each match. Instead, a handful of these locations, typically about 10, will spawn the Shadow Briefing terminals, in a rotation that randomizes each time. It's helpful to keep the map up so you can look in nearby areas each match until you learn where they can all spawn. Here are all the Fortnite Shadow Briefing Locations in Chapter 6 Season 2:

  • Houses Northwest of Flooded Frogs
  • Peninsula Northeast of Flooded Frogs
  • Mountaintop Southwest of Flooded Frogs
  • End of Railroad Southwest of Wiffy Wharf
  • Warehouse South of Wiffy Wharf
  • Magic Mosses
  • Brutal Boxcars
  • Pumped Power
  • Demon's Dojo
  • Railhouse North of Shining Span
  • Seaport City
  • Foxy Floodgate
  • Kappa Kappa Factory
  • Hopeful Heights
  • Southeast of Masked Meadows
  • Garden Maze South of Masked Meadows
  • Shogun's Solitude
  • Canyon Crossing
  • Shiny Shafts
  • Castle Southwest of Outlaw Oasis
  • Field Southwest of Crime City

You can also check the map above to see all the locations as is indicated by the yellow X's. There are several quests tied to the locations of the Shadow Briefings, so make sure you do them before the locations once again change with the start of the new season. They are typically scattered across the map, so usually, you can find one in close proximity regardless of where you drop, but because of the randomization that's never guaranteed.

Assassin's Creed Shadows - Delayed to March 2025

Ubisoft is reportedly planning a big move to strengthen its finances and become more stable in 2025 and beyond.

According to Bloomberg, the company is looking for investors to help create a new business unit that will hold its biggest franchises, including Assassin's Creed. Ubisoft would still be the main owner of this new unit, but it would sell a small part of it to an outside investor.

This doesn't mean the investor would own Ubisoft's current IPs or have control over them. Ubisoft would remain in charge, keeping full decision-making power while using the investment to bring in more money.

This move comes at a time when Ubisoft's stock has been struggling, and the company is betting big on Assassin's Creed Shadows, which launches on March 20, to help turn things around.

What Ubisoft creating a new company and selling part of it means

Ubisoft's move is essentially a way to get a large cash boost upfront by selling a small stake in a new entity that includes Assassin's Creed and other IPs—without tying it directly to how well any single game or product performs. This gives Ubisoft more capital to invest in the company, fill revenue gaps, or cover operational costs.

While this does mean Ubisoft will share a portion of future earnings from Assassin's Creed (and other IPs) with investors who now hold a minority stake, the trade-off is getting immediate funding. That money can then be used to scale up investments in these franchises, which could lead to even more Assassin's Creed products.

Ubisoft is not selling Assassin's Creed

Since all this business conversation and some legalese can make the report hard to understand, here's a list of facts, based on the report, that clarify some parts of this potential deal:

  • Ubisoft is not selling Assassin's Creed.
  • Assassin's Creed will still be a Ubisoft game. The company will still hold a major part of it.
  • Ubisoft is not being bought out.
  • Other Ubisoft IPs will also be included.
  • Ubisoft is not shutting down or failing.

The post Ubisoft could create a new business division with Assassin's Creed and sell a part of it, report says appeared first on Destructoid.

The most important thing is to commit towards completing this SBC only if you're sure about finishing it in the first place. While you'll get the "Yaya aura" from it, the card lacks both Intercept and Anticipate. While he's still going to be a defensive rock, the lack of those two playstyles is major miss from EA Sports.

I strongly believe that there are far better valued SBCs available, like the Karim Adeyemi FUT Birthday challenge.

Fortnite exotic weapon in the backrooms

Now that the Fortnite community has come together to steal some of Fletcher Kane's gold, it's time to reward ourselves with Mythic and Exotic weapons. To get these weapons, you'll have to use an Outlaw Keycard to unlock Black Market backrooms scattered around the map.

How to unlock a Black Market backroom door in Fortnite

Using your Outlaw Keycard to unlock a Black Market backroom door requires heading to one of the Black Markets near Crime City, Seaport City, and Magic Mosses before searching for large red, blue, or green doors. Here, you'll find a locked digital keypad that, after interacting with it, will open the door to the market's backrooms. Now, with these doors permanently open, you can buy Mythic and Exotic weapons using Dill Bits whenever you wish.

All Black Market backroom locations in Fortnite

Each of Fortnite's three Black Markets has its own backrooms you can unlock after logging in and claiming your Outlaw Keycard. Here's the complete list of every backroom location:

Crime City

First is Crime City's Black Market, which you'll spot directly north of the POI on your map. The backrooms entrance is next to the grindable rail connected to the Black Market's east entrance.

Seaport City

Next up is the Black Market near Masked Meadows and Seaport City. You'll find the backrooms next to the Black Market's tunnel entrance.

Magic Mosses

Last but not least is the Magic Mosses backrooms. You'll find the Black Market right in the center of the POI, marked with a colorful potion splash art on the wall next to its staircase. The backrooms are next to Joss, opposite the Medkit and Shield Potion displays.

A player posing with the Rowan sword in Verse Piece

Quests in Verse Piece can be challenging, especially the 2nd Awakening one. However, we have a new quest that is equally difficult. To help you complete it and get the new trait, we prepared the following guide on how to get the Son of Rowan trait in Verse Piece.

How to Get the Son of Rowan Trait in Verse Piece

A player standing next to the Son of Rowan quest NPC on Boss island in Verse Piece Roblox experience
The Son of Rowan quest NPC can be found on the Boss island

You can get the Son of Rowan trait in Verse Piece by completing the Son of Rowan quest. To start the quest, head to the Boss Island and interact with the Son of Rowan NPC next to one of the pillars. The quest itself requires you to kill 100 Sons of Rowans, which is no easy task.

How to Defeat a 100 Son of Rowans

Preview of the Spawn Boss menu in Verse Piece Roblox experience
You can spawn the Son of Rowan boss using 10,000 Gems and 50 Boss Tickets

In Verse Piece, you can't find a Son of Rowan in the wild, but you can spawn them on the Boss Island using 50 Boss Tickets and 10,000 Gems. Son of Rowan can be challenging to defeat. However, in the end, he will drop a Rowan Fragment and, potentially, the Rowan sword itself.

How to Get More Boss Tickets

Dungeon Ticket exchange menu in Verse Piece Roblox experience

Inevitably, you will end up needing more Boss Tickets to spawn more bosses and finish the Son of Rowan quest in Verse Piece. To get more Boss Tickets, go to the Bleach Isle and trade some of your excess mythical materials for them. If you end up needing more mythical materials as well, then check out our Verse Piece fishing guide, as that is the best method to farm materials.

Where to Find the Rowan Sword NPC in Verse Piece

Location of the Rowan sword NPC on the Blacksmith Isle in Verse Piece Roblox experience
Rowan NPC is located behind a tree on the Blacksmith Isle

You can find the Rowan Sword NPC behind a tree on the Blacksmith Isle. Let's say you were unlucky enough not to get the Rowan sword from Son of Rowan Boss. Then, you can get it here in exchange for 100 Rowan Fragments and the Son of Rowan trait.

Now, if the exchange works in the same way as for the other Verse Piece swords, you will have to sacrifice the Son of Rowan trait to get the sword. So, to be efficient, get the Son of Rowan trait once and store it. Then, get the quest again and farm for another one while also grinding for Rowan Fragments.

That sums up everything you need to know about how to get the Son of Rowan in Verse Piece. Make sure to check out our Fallen Angel race guide to get one of the best races in Verse Piece.

Harry Mason terrified as he points his flashlight at the camera

As the Sony PlayStation 2 remains the highest-selling console of all time, it should come as no surprise that it's home to some of the best-selling games in video game history.

It's also received a wildly interesting collection of offbeat, strange, bad, and sometimes great games that, for one reason or another, never sold very much and are now extremely rare and valuable. Let's look at the PS2's biggest rarities, shall we?

10. Wild Arms: Alter Code F

The cover art for Wild Arms Alter code: F, featuring the main cast standing back to back at the center.
Image via agetec

The remake phenomenon is in full swing nowadays, but the concept of game remakes isn't as young as many would like to make you think.

Wild Arms: Alter Code F is a rich PS2 remaster of the original PS1 Wild Arms, featuring heavily updated 3D graphics and new characters. Despite its awesomeness and name brand, its success didn't quite carry over to the new version. Was it because people were unimpressed by the upgrades? Because they'd simply rather try out new stuff instead of going for a shinier version of something they knew? Because publisher agetec's masterplan was to have the rarest games on the system (you'll see what I'm talking about)? Who knows. Whatever the cause, nobody seemed too confident in Alter Code F, as it didn't even come out in Europe. The result is a rare classic that's worth over $300 nowadays.

9. .hack Quarantine

The cover art for .hack Quarantine, showing the main cast and the main character attempting to move through the real and the game dimensions.

.hack was a very popular RPG series back in the heyday of the PS2. Even before the release of World Of Warcraft, .hack was already telling a tale regarding the possibly negative influence a super-popular MMORPG could have on the populace.

.hack Quarantine served as the culmination of the four-game series, but, likely due to the rule of diminished returns, .hack Quarantine ended up becoming a harder title to get than the other games in the series. Though it's not the most expensive game on this list, it's quite peculiar to find a game from a once-popular series at over $300.

8. Obscure

The cover art for ObsCure shows a 3d render emulating a photo with multiple exposure where the many images seem to create a monstrous face.
Image via DreamCatcher Interactive

Don't let the name fool you. ObsCure's original take on survival horror saw us play as a team of teens trying to survive a mysterious monster attack on their high school, and it proved surprisingly popular upon release. Still, ObsCure came out just a year before Resident Evil 4 took horror games — and a large part of the gaming industry, really — in a new direction, so ObsCure ultimately lived up to its name. You can get an unused copy of ObsCure for a little over $330.

Interestingly, ObsCure got a sequel in the end, but copies of ObsCure 2 are far more common than those of the original game.

7. Echo Night Beyond

the cover art for Echo Night Beyond shows the back of a woman wearing what could be a wedding dress.
Image via agetec

This is one of the few titles on this list that I only learned about when researching, and there's a reason for that. Echo Night Beyond, a sci-fi tale where the player's choices matter, only featured a very small print run, and, even out of it, relatively few copies ever got sold.

Nowadays, Echo Night Beyond is one of those games that mostly just collectors know of and care about, even though it's seemingly not bad at all. I'd love to give it a try! Too bad I'm not about to shell out the internet's minimum asking price of $300.

6. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

The cover art for SIlent Hill Shattered Memories shows a frozen little girl sitting on a swing.
Image via Konami

This is a surprising entry because Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, the original remake of the first Silent Hill game, was actually quite a hit... on the Wii. For some reason, even though the game caused a huge splash on Nintendo's console — and Sony's consoles are the place where more Silent Hill fans tend to inhabit — Shattered Memories' PS2 version had a very limited print run and its copies are now perhaps just as elusive as the titular town itself.

Even though it's part of an extremely popular game series, you'll be lucky to get a copy of this game for less than five hundred bucks.

5. Haunting Ground

The cover art for Haunting Ground shows the face of the main chracter and a cute dog.
Image via Capcom

Unlike Shattered Memories above, Haunting Ground doesn't carry the name of a huge franchise, but it's still the spiritual successor to the once-popular Clocktower series. This one's rarity might be due to mismanaged marketing — sometimes you should really make use of your brand names, Capcom.

Haunting Ground's apparent lack of commercial success might also have come about due to the game releasing right about when the paradigm-shifting Resident Evil 4 was coming out, so that's already two ways in which Capcom might've accidentally caused Haunting Ground to become one of the rarest and — at over $700 for a new copy — one of the most expensive games on the system.

4. Blood Will Tell

The cover art for Blood Will Tell shows the face of the playable samurai and his two blades.
Image via Sega

I don't know about you, but I always find it so appropriate when the rarest games belong to the mystery or horror genres, and the PS2 has that in spades. Blood Will Tell is a cult classic from Sega where a samurai teams up with a thief to — I kid you not — retrieve parts of the samurai's body.

Despite its grisly premise, that's not why Blood Will Tell has become so rare. It is just not that good of a game and was also probably too niche to become a mainstream hit, so it became a cult classic — and, at over $500 for a new copy, a very expensive one at that.

3. Marvel vs. Capcom 2

The cover art for Marvel vs. Capcom 2 shows Ryu, Spider-Man, Zangief and The Hulk seemingly getting ready to do battle.
Image via Capcom

Plot twist time: games belonging to popular franchises don't tend to show up on these lists, even more so when they're extremely good and popular.

To this day, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 remains one of the most talked-about fighting games of all time. Still, its PlayStation 2 version is exceedingly rare and expensive. Why? Because of copyright shenanigans between Capcom and Marvel that took place shortly after the game's release, the game had a limited print run. That's why you may have to shell out $900 if you want a sealed copy of Marvel vs Capcom 2 today.

2. Rule of Rose

The cover art for Rule of Rose is the drawing of the silhouette of a girl inside a rose surrounded by thorns.
Image via Atlus

If you're a video game collector, Rule Of Rose likely pops up in your mind dozens of times a day. Another horror classic that became the stuff of legend, this time likely because its psychological horror elements were deemed too insidious and thus prevented the game from even getting distributed in most places. While it's true that Rule Of Rose features some rather disturbing themes, I'd say none of it justifies turning the game into a cursed artifact.

Rule Of Rose initially sold most of its very limited stock, so any sealed copy is expected to set you back by over eight hundred dollars.

1. Kuon

The cover art for Kuon shows the face of a girl in a dimly lit manner to create a creepy visual.
Image via agetec

Here it is, the final boss of rare PS2 games. Kuon is, guess what, a survival horror game. This time, however, we're not talking about a game that owes its rarity to disturbing themes that prevented uncourageous publishers from localizing the game and trying to sell it overseas, but rather just bad marketing.

There are no surprising or even possibly haunted elements to this tale. Kuon only ever had a very limited print run and barely had any marketing from US publisher agetec — which you probably only know from this list because, well, it was seemingly way more discrete a publishing company should ever be. Still, they inadvertently managed to create the legend of Kuon, whose new copies sell for over $1,100 now, so congrats, I guess.

Fortnite Outlaw and Mythic Weapons

Throughout Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2, you'll rob trains, break into bank vaults, and dive into black markets to acquire their wares. Along the way, you'll hear about special Mythic and Exotic-grade weapons that, although expensive, can easily secure you a win if you get them early.

How to unlock Outlaw Exotic and Mythic weapons in Fortnite

Most of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2's Outlaw Mythic and Exotic weapons are available after completing the game's Outlaw Keycard Community quests. After the community robs enough vaults to finish the quest, you'll unlock another set of objectives that level up your keycard rarity. An Uncommon-grade keycard lets you access Fortnite's Black Market backrooms to purchase Mythic and Exotic weapons.

As of March 14, 2025, the community quest is now complete. We can officially enter the backrooms and purchase Mythic and Exotic-tier weapons as long as we have the Dill Bits to afford them.

Fortnite Outlaw Keycard quests
Screenshot by Destructoid

Since the Outlaw Keycard quest is a community mission, you and everyone who plays Fortnite must try your best to rob as many vaults and cases as possible to reach 100 percent. From here, completing the second quest set lets you upgrade your keycard, unlock the backrooms, and spend Dill Bits on the game's strongest items. Here's a list of some weapons you can obtain:

  • Lawless Slap Cannon
  • Lawless Blink Pump & Dump
  • Lawless Stink Rifle
  • Lawless Shockwave Rocket Launcher
  • Lawless Trinity Assault Rifle
  • Lawless Heavy Impact Tracking Rifle

Although these backrooms have most of the high-value Mythic and Exotic weapons we're looking for, you'll also find additional Mythic-grade items in the Black Markets themselves. Crime City now features a Mythic Pump & Dump weapon, while Seaport City still has a Mythic Falcon Eye Sniper. These all require Dill Bits to buy, so break into a few vaults before going on your shopping trip.

Alongside the Lawless items within black market backrooms, you'll also find weapons like the Rocket Drill, Outlaw Shotgun, and the Pump & Dump through chest drops, floor loot, and player eliminations. These aren't nearly as powerful, but they have their own upsides despite their more common rarities.

All Black Market backroom locations in Fortnite

Fortnite features three Black Market locations near Crime City, Seaport City, and Magic Mosses. Within them, you'll find locked doors that are only accessible using keycards. Here's a list of every black market and their backroom location:

Black Market Backroom location
Crime City Next to the grind bar connected to the Black Market's east entrance. You'll spot it opposite the Legendary Sticky Grenade Launcher display.
Seaport City/Masked Meadows Next to the Black Market's tunnel entrance. You'll spot it near the Mythic Falcon Sniper display.
Magic Mosses Next to Joss, opposite the Medkit and Shield Potion display.

All Black Market backrooms Mythic and Exotic weapons

Now that every Fortnite player has an Outlaw Keycard, we can access Black Market backrooms and purchase some Mythic and Exotic-grade weapons. Every Mythic and Exotic weapon costs one Dill Bit, regardless of their rarity or power. Here's a list of every black market location and their Mythic/Exotic weapon stock:

Crime City

  • Pump & Dump (Mythic)
  • Enhanced outlaw Shotgun (Mythic)
  • Lawless Shockwave Rocket Launcher (Exotic)
  • Lawless Blink Pump & Dump (Exotic)

Magic Mosses

  • Enhanced Collateral Damage AR (Mythic)
  • Brutus' Minigun (Mythic)
  • Lawless Trinity Assault Rifle (Exotic)
  • Lawless Slap Cannon (Exotic)

Seaport City

  • Enhanced Falcon Eye Sniper Rifle (Mythic)
  • Midas' Gilded Eye Drum Gun (Mythic)
  • Lawless Heavy Impact Tracking Rifle (Exotic)
  • Lawless Stink Rifle (Exotic)

Combat in Assassin's Creed Shadows

Assassin's Creed Shadows is coming soon, launching on March 20, and Steam players have been eagerly waiting for news on how Ubisoft will support the Steam Deck.

In recent years, the game developer has tried to move away from Steam, focusing on its own launcher, Ubisoft Connect, instead. But since late 2024, Ubisoft is making a strong return to Steam, bringing full integration with AC Shadows Steam achievements, collectible cards, and badges.

A big question about the game was how well it would run on the Steam Deck. When Ubisoft first confirmed Assassin's Creed Shadows will be available on Steam Deck at launch, it wasn't clear whether it would just be Playable or be fully Verified for a smooth experience.

AC Shadows achieves Steam Deck Verified earlier than expected

Today, Ubisoft confirmed that Assassin's Creed Shadows is officially Steam Deck-verified—the highest level of compatibility a game can get. The company acknowledged how they got it earlier than they expected.

"Despite initially announcing we wouldn't be able to support until later [...] the team made great progress over the past few weeks and was able to make it happen for launch," Ubisoft wrote on Steam.

https://twitter.com/assassinscreed/status/1900577774827348105

This means players will be able to fully customize controls and use all the Steam Deck features that come with verified games. It probably also means the game runs at a decent frame rate, likely somewhere close to 30 FPS at the very least. That's a good sign for a modern game running on the Steam Deck, which is often considered underpowered compared to other platforms.

Ubisoft will lock AC Shadows graphic settings on the Steam Deck

While this is mostly great news, there is one downside. AC Shadows' graphics settings will be locked, at least for now. Ubisoft hasn't explained exactly which settings will be locked or how that will impact performance, but players won't be able to tweak most of the graphics options at launch.

"While graphical settings will be locked at launch, you'll be able to choose the upscalers you want, and we're looking into providing further options in future updates," the company wrote.

So whatever visual quality you get on day one is what you'll have to stick with until Ubisoft releases an update with more options. There's no word yet on when that update will come, but it'll likely take a few weeks. Ubisoft will probably focus on fixing launch bugs and critical issues before adding more graphics settings for Steam Deck players.

AC Shadows releases on Steam along with other platforms on March 20, with the exact timing depending on your region.

A player posing next to Cid Kageno in Verse Piece Roblox experience

Races play a big part in the damage output and survivability of your character in Verse Piece. A testament to that is the fact that Race Rerolls are used as an intermediary currency when trading. Some races in Verse Piece are so powerful that they make you invulnerable in PvP. With all that in mind, we prepared the following Verse Piece races guide and tier list to help you out when rerolling.

Verse Piece Races Tier List

Verse Piece race tier list for the Cha Haein and Rowan update made via TierMaker that goes as follows: S tier: Fallen Angel, Contractor, Shadow, Dragonic; A tier: Dullahan, Demonic, Half Cyborg, Truthseeker; B tier: Slime, Vessel, Vampire, Angelica, Saiya; C tier: Reaper, Arancar, Quincy, Fishman, Skypiean, Human
Image via TierMaker

The above Verse Piece races tier list ranks them all based on how strong they are overall, both in PvE and PvP. In general, Exotic races are just way stronger than all others, with very few exceptions. Contractor is the strongest race in Verse Piece, with Dragonic being very close behind. Shadow is the best race for PvP simply because it makes you immune to other players' damage.

List of All Verse Piece Races

Here is the Verse Piece race list sorted by rank on the tier list and with the bonuses that each race gives you. The percentages next to their rarities show the odds of getting a specific race when using Race Rerolls.

How do Races Work in Verse Piece

The Verse Piece races listed in the tier list above give you specific passive bonuses, just like traits do. Races don't increase your stats, but they can multiply your damage and give you some unique buffs. For example, the Vampire race lets you lifesteal health back when dealing damage. Also, rerolling races is a lot more difficult because in Verse Piece, you need Race Rerolls to do that.

How to Reroll Races

  • Adventure Shop location in Verse Piece
  • Adventure Shop menu in Verse Piece
  • Race storage and Race Rerolls as shown in the materials inventory in Verse Piece

You can reroll your race by using Race Reroll materials from your inventory. When rerolling, you will have to confirm if you want to reroll a Legendary, Mythical, or Exotic race. You can get Race Rerolls either by opening chests, fishing, trading, buying them from the Adventure Shop NPC, or by redeeming Verse Piece codes.

How to Store Races

To store one of the races in Verse Piece in your inventory, you will first need to expand your race storage. For this, you need a Race Storage material, which can be obtained in the same way as Race Rerolls. With at least one unlocked slot in your race storage, you can then click on the race in your inventory to switch it out with the race currently on you.

Verse Piece Race Progression

In the beginning, try to get either Reaper or Arrancar so that you can improve the damage of your Sword and Fruit. Once you get a bit more Race Rerolls, aim for either Demonic, Vessel, or Vampire. However, your endgame goals are definitely Contractor, Shadow, or Dragonic, as they are the best races in Verse Piece.

That concludes our Verse Piece guide and races tier list. If you want to check out more of our VP content, then visit the Verse Piece section of Destructoid.

Fortnite Fletcher Kane boss

Fortnite's Outlaw Keycard quest is a unique series involving the community banding together and taking all of Fletcher Kane's gold. He's been robbing everyone blind, so it's time for us to fight back. In return, we'll gain Outlaw Keycards to access Black Market backrooms.

Fortnite Outlaw Keycard quest walkthrough

Fortnite outlaw keycard quest list
Screenshot by Destructoid

During the first few days of Fortnite's Outlaw Keycard quest series, the first mission was to rob bank vaults as a community until we collectively reached 100 percent. As of March 14, 2025, this objective has reached 100 percent, unlocking the rest of the quests and our Outlaw Keycard rewards.

Below is every Outlaw Keycard quest and how to complete them:

Quest Requirement
Rob Vaults Like Fletcher Kane's original community quest, you can complete this by breaking into bank vaults or armored vehicles around Fortnite's map. You can obtain Thermite through Black Markets or duffle bags and place them on large vault doors marked on your map. After defeating four guard waves, you'll unlock the vault and its goodies.
Eliminate bosses or guards You'll find Fletcher Kane's guards in most large POIs, particularly around vaults in Crime City, Seaport City, and Masked Meadows. You can also defeat Fletcher Kane himself or Shogun X to advance this quest and obtain medallions.
Spend bars The easiest way to spend bars is to visit Black Markets and purchase weapons. You can get gold bars by opening chests, robbing vaults, and eliminating other players. You can also buy items from vending machines and NPCs.
Collect Boons or Medallions You can obtain Medallions by defeating Fletcher Kane and Shogun X or picking them up from players carrying them. Alternatively, you can purchase Boons from Black Markets.

As you complete each quest, you'll upgrade your Outlaw Keycard to unlock additional services in Black Market backrooms, including hiring NPCs to fight alongside you and buying weapon loadouts.

Lucia wearing an orange inmate uniform in GTA 6.

With GTA 6 set for a Fall 2025 release and Rockstar remaining completely silent since dropping the first trailer in December 2023, fans continue to speculate wildly about what the game will look like.

From debates over how much GTA 6 will cost, whether its lighting will look like GTA 5 Enhanced, and if preorders can be trusted, one recurring discussion in the community is how the game will begin.

One theory that keeps resurfacing is that the GTA 6 map will be restricted at the start of the story, forcing players to progress through the opening chapter to unlock the full world. This speculation comes from a small detail in the promotional images released so far.

GTA 6 fans think the game might start in prison or right after Lucia gets out

In one of the promotional images, Lucia, one of the main characters, is wearing an ankle monitor. That likely means she's still being watched by the police even though she's no longer in prison.

Because of this, some players believe GTA 6 could start with Lucia either still in prison, getting released, or just out but unable to move freely because of the monitor.

A GTA 6 promotional art showing Lucia wearing an ankle monitor. An inset shows a zoom into the monitor.
Image via Rockstar Games, edited by Destructoid.

This would make a lot of sense for the story, based on what we've seen in the first GTA 6 trailer and images. But at the same time, it might annoy players who just want to jump in and explore the world right away. And if we look at how Rockstar has handled this kind of thing before, there's a chance it won't go over well with everyone.

Red Dead Redemption 2's intro proves a slow start can get boring

Red Dead Redemption 2 starts with a pretty restricted first chapter, mainly to teach players the game's mechanics. While that makes sense for new players, many people found it slow and frustrating over time. In fact, experienced players keep an extra save file right at the start of Chapter 2, just so they never have to go through that intro again.

https://www.reddit.com/r/RDR2/comments/18iev1t/just_started_the_game_and_it_feels_boring/

Even people who love Red Dead Redemption 2 still complain about how long the opening takes. If GTA 6 does something similar, most players might not mind initially amid all the hype. But later on, having a slow start with restrictions could end up being one of the things people don't like about the game.

For now, nothing is confirmed. Rockstar hasn't released a GTA 6 trailer two, and all we know for sure is that GTA 6 is coming in Fall 2025 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Everything else is just theories and wishful thinking.

Suja Sash in MH Wilds

Nearly every region in the Forbidden Lands boasts its own exclusive Armor Set, each offering powerful buffs tailored to the unique essence of that location. In this guide, we'll go over how to unlock the Suja Sash Armor in Monster Hunter Wilds, including details about its stats.

How to get Suja Sash in MH Wilds

While most of the hidden Armor provides a complete set, the Suja Sash is one of the few with a single item in its recipe. You can make it with three Suja Textiles and five Fucium Ore. Fucium Ore is relatively easy to find, popping in Mining Outcrops in a High-Rank Wyveria. However, the Suja Textiles are incredibly rare, randomly appearing in Item Trades. During the endgame stages, you'll unlock this trading system and Farm (Material Retrieval), giving access to highly valuable resources.

Speak to Nata at the Base Camp to see what items villagers have for sale. The inventory will change daily, so if you don't see it, you can rest until the following day for better chances. Suja Textiles tend to show up with the Wudwud Gawdygog and the Suja region's Sekka NPC. You must exchange 10 Ancient Wyvern Coins or a Dragonscale Vase for a successful trade.

Unlocking Suja Textiles
Screenshot by Destructoid

Those who don't have these items can check on the Farm inventory, as more villagers offer you goods. Keep in mind that you'll need to complete side missions to access each region's Material Retrieval. Tackle those objectives first, and you may get the resources for the Suja Textiles trade.

Suja Sash buffs and stats

The Suja Sash Armor features the following stats:

  • Defense: 44
  • Slots: 3
  • Fire Res: 1
  • Water Res: 1
  • Thunder Res: 1
  • Ice Res: 4
  • Dragon Res: 1
  • Equipment Skill: Diving Blessing Level 3
  • Group Skill: Imparted Wisdom

The Diving Blessing Level 3 skill reduces damage taken by 50 percent, helping you survive a lot longer. You'll also gain Forager's Luck from the Imparted Wisdom Group Skill. Forager's Luck is one of the best skills you can unlock in Monster Hunter Wilds, increasing your chances to farm rare materials. In return, you can gather more resources for the other hidden Armor Sets.

A player standing next to the Fallen Angel quest NPC in the Verse Piece Roblox experience

Just like in some anime series, your chances of coming upon a Fallen Angel are none, but you can't ever be 100% sure. The same rule applies to Fallen Angels in Verse Piece. So, to help you out with getting the Fallen Angel race, we prepared the following guide on how to complete the Fallen Angel quest in Verse Piece.

How to Accept the Fallen Angel Race Quest in Verse Piece

A player showing the location of the Fallen Angel quest NPC on the Dungeon Cave island in the Verse Piece Roblox experience
Fallen Angel NPC is located on top of a hill on the Dungeon Cave Island

To accept the Fallen Angel quest in Verse Piece, head to the Dungeon Cave island and interact with the Fallen Angel NPC on top of the central hill. The quest seems pretty simple as it requires you to defeat 10 Fallen Angels. However, it can actually take a while to complete, as there is only one place where they can spawn.

Where to Find and Defeat Fallen Angels in Verse Piece

A player standing next to the Fallen Angel boss that spawned on the Dungeon Cave island in Verse Piece Roblox experience
Fallen Angels spawn inside the cave on the Dungeon Cave island

Fallen Angels have a chance to spawn on the Dungeon Cave island at a 30% spawn rate in Verse Piece. If you want to defeat ten Fallen Angels quickly, your best bet is to join a private server and set up a macro to defeat the bosses as soon as they spawn. Alternatively, you can hop around low-populated servers until you find one with the Fallen Angel in it.

Once you've got the ten kills, the Fallen Angel race will replace the one you currently have in Verse Piece. The Fallen Angel Race itself gives you a 2.75 damage multiplier, and it causes your attacks to throw out swords that stun enemies. So, before defeating the last Fallen Angel, make sure to swap it out with another race from your storage.

How to Get the Cha Haein Sword

A player interacting with the Cha Haein sword NPC in a small tower on the Dungeon Cave island in Verse Piece Roblox experience
Cha Haein NPC can be found in a small construction on Dungeon Cave island

If you were lucky to get the Sword of Light Recipe from one of the Fallen Angel bosses, then take on the mining quest. Mine until you obtain five Light Ores. Then, interact with the Cha Haein sword NPC in a small construction on the same island to get the sword.

And that concludes our guide on how to get the Fallen Angel quest and find Fallen Angels in Verse Piece. If you want to read more of our Verse Piece content, then make sure to check out our Verse Piece trait and title guides as well. Also, make sure to grab the Son of Rowan trait to pair it up with the Fallen Angel race.

Image of Yordan Alvarez in MLB The Show 25 hitting a shot

MLB The Show 25 is now available on early access, and you can jump in to enjoy the different modes and tweaks made by the developers for this year.

While certain things look similar, there are key differences, one of which is associated with the game's accessibility. Unlike the last few years, there is bad news for Xbox Game Pass subscribers if they want to enjoy the new baseball simulator.

MLB The Show 25 is not a day one addition to the Xbox Game Pass

During the last few years, every MLB The Show release has been added to the Xbox Game Pass on day one. Subscribers could play the games after their global releases without buying separate copies as long as they had an active membership for the Ultimate tier.

This year, things are different. Despite being developed by a PlayStation studio, MLB The Show 25 will be available for Xbox console users. However, the only option for Xbox users is either the Standard or the Digital Deluxe Edition. The Digital Deluxe Edition has a higher cost but offers plenty of benefits, along with the four days of early access (already started on March 14).

MLB The Show 25 release timings
Image via PlayStation

I am unsure why the game isn't going to be a day one addition. Both MLB The Show 23 and The Show 24 were added to the service on the very first days of their respective global launches. As for MLB The Show 25, I still believe it will eventually be added to Xbox's gaming service. A date is hard to pinpoint, and it all depends on what type of agreement Xbox might have with MLB.

If you're unsure about when the game goes live, make sure to check out this guide. It will help you with the full launch date, along with the release timings. Unlike most games, MLB The Show 25 doesn't have regional launch timings, and it has a simultaneous release across all regions.

Promotional image of Dupli-Kate outfit in Fortnite

If you've watched, read, or heard of Invincible, you're likely familiar with Dupli-Kate. Now, Dupli-Kate has made her way into Fortnite as a free skin, but you'll need to finish a few quests to unlock her. Thankfully, as long as you have a friend to help, you can finish these quickly.

How to unlock the free Dupli-Kate outfit in Fortnite

From now until March 31, 2025, you can unlock Fortnite's free Dupli-Kate outfit by completing Party Up Spring Raid quests. In your quest menu, you'll spot "Party Up - Spring Raid" near the top of the list, showing up to nine rewards you can obtain. Dupli-Kate is the ninth and final prize, so you'll have to wait until every mission appears before unlocking her outfit.

Fortnite Dupli-Kate quest list
Screenshot by Destructoid

Completing Spring Raid quests requires teaming up with a friend or an alt account and playing a mix of custom games made by Epic Games and content creators. You can access these by heading to your main game screen and scrolling through your game options until you find a "By Epic" experience or any custom game. You can also use the magnifying glass icon in the top left corner of your screen to search for a game if you wish.

If you have a favorite creator game, you can hop into their game and get some XP. For anyone who prefers sticking to the Invincible theme for these quests, you've got Invincible Universe: Rise of the Sequids, among other options, to check out. What you play is up to you, as long as you have someone with you.

That's right: this isn't a solo mission. Any XP you gain from custom games won't count if you attempt this solo. You need at least one other person with you, but you're free to invite more to turn it into a big party. If you don't have friends to join you, you can hop into social media channels like Fortnite's official Discord server or create an alt account and play with that.

Spring Raid's first quest set won't be enough to unlock Dupli-Kate immediately. Fortunately, Epic Games is releasing more quests every couple of days, so you'll need to check back occasionally to grind some XP and claim each reward. Dupli-Kate is the final prize on this list, so don't be surprised if it takes a couple of weeks to get there. The event ends on March 31, so you'll have some extra time to hop on if you're busy beforehand.

Silver Solder Anby in Zenless Zone Zero

Silver Soldier Anby, also known as Soldier 0 Anby, is the newest addition to the Zenless Zone Zero roster, and she packs quite a punch. If you're pulling her, here's a guide to help you get her going in your comp.

Best Soldier 0 Anby Build in Zenless Zone Zero

Jumping right in, Soldier 0 Anby is an Electric Attack character with a big focus on a brand new damage type called Aftershock. She is a Main DPS and wants a ton of field time to perform her relatively basic gameplan. She is easy to play with a low ceiling, but there is still a lot of room for optimizing her simple gameplay loop. That gameplay loop makes up the entirety of her gameplan. For the sake of clarity, I will simply be referring to Soldier 0 Anby as 'Anby' for the rest of this build guide.

Soldier 0 Anby's Gameplan

Silver Soldier Anby attacking with her Ultimate in Zenless Zone Zero

Anby's most critical goal is to build up Silver Star Marks on enemies, then detonate them with her core ability, Special Attack: Azure Flash. When Anby lands any of her attacks on an enemy, a Silver Star Mark appears on them, but they're "empty." Silver Star Marks are "filled" when Anby continuously attacks that target. Silver Star Marks have three individual sections, and when one section is completely filled, Anby can unleash one Azure Flash on that target, dealing massive damage.

Azure Flash can only be used if there is a filled section on a Silver Star Mark, but it is in your best interest to hold off using Azure Flash until the entire Silver Star Mark is filled. This is because using Azure Flash three times in rapid succession will allow Anby to deal an extra instance of damage called Thunder Smite, which also deals considerable damage. This is the crux of her gameplan, but there is a bit of nuance you should be aware of.

Silver Solder Anby's Mark in Zenless Zone Zero

One of the ways you can play with Anby is by overflowing Silver Star Marks with additional attacks once it is full. You never want to do this. The moment a Silver Star Mark is full, you want to initiate Azure Flash as soon as possible, as any other actions will result in wasted resources. There are a few effective ways to fill Silver Star Marks in Anby's kit:

How to fill Silver Star Marks

  • Dodge Counter: Landing a Dodge Counter will fill half of a Silver Star Mark.
  • Full Basic Attack String: A full Basic Attack string will nearly fill two sections of a Silver Star Mark. You will need to land one extra attack after the initial combo to fill, however.
  • EX Special Attack: Sundering Bolt: Using the Hold version of Anby's Special will result in a completely filled Silver Star Mark on any enemies hit by the attack.
  • Ultimate: Voidstrike: Landing Anby's Ultimate on enemies will completely fill their Silver Star Mark.

For the EX Special and Ultimate, make sure you're only using these on enemies with empty Silver Star Marks, or you'll waste resources. You never want to overcap as you're just losing DPS and overall damage doing so. At first, it will take a conscious effort not to overcap, but with practice in the training room, you'll be able to avoid these pitfalls easily.

Best Drive Disks for Soldier 0 Anby in Zenless Zone Zero

Silver Soldier Anby's Disk Drives in Zenless Zone Zero

As a DPS, Anby has a few different viable options she can use for Drive Disks, though the newest set added in version 1.6 was made directly for her and is her BiS (Best in Slot):

  • 4-piece Shadow Harmony - The Shadow Harmony set is by far Anby's best Drive Disk option as it boosts her Aftershock damage, which is her main damage type. Azure Flash and Thunder Smite are Anby's most damaging abilities, and both are considered Aftershock damage. This set also gives Anby free Crit stats, which she benefits from a lot.

Along with this set, Anby has several 2-piece options she can consider using:

  • 2-piece Branch & Blade Song: This set gives Anby an additional 16% Crit Damage, which she scales extremely well on.
  • 2-piece Woodpecker Electro: This set gives Anby an additional 8% Crit Rate, which is a benefit to Anby's naturally high Crit Damage stat.
  • 2-piece Puffer Electro: Puffer Electro is always a strong set for any DPS character that has a large amount of PEN Ratio or has a support character that buffs the user with PEN Ratio. The set itself gives 8% PEN Ratio, and the more PEN Ratio a character has, the better.
  • 2-piece Astral Voice: This set gives Anby an additional 10% ATK, which is always a good stat to have on a DPS character.
  • 2-piece Swing Jazz: Though not ideal, you can use this set to give Anby an additional 20% Energy Regen, allowing her to use her EX Special more often, thus filling up a full Silver Star Mark. Anby really doesn't need this to fill marks consistently, but this set is an option if it has great sub-stats already.

Disk Drive Stats

For each numbered Disk in your Disk Drive set, these are the ideal stats to hunt for Anby:

  • Disc 1 - HP

    • Substats: ATK%, CRIT RATE, CRIT DMG

  • Disk 2 - ATK

    • Substats: ATK%, CRIT RATE, CRIT DMG

  • Disk 3 - DEF

    • Substats: ATK%, CRIT RATE, CRIT DMG

  • Disk 4 - CRIT RATE or CRIT DMG

    • Substats: ATK%, CRIT RATE, CRIT DMG

  • Disk 5 - Electric DMG Bonus

    • Substats: ATK%, CRIT RATE, CRIT DMG

  • Disk 6 - ATK%

    • Substats: CRIT RATE, CRIT DMG

Best W-Engines for Soldier 0 Anby in Zenless Zone Zero

Silver Soldier Anby's W-Engine in Zenless Zone Zero

As an Attack Agent, Anby has a few W-Engine options she can get solid mileage out of:

  • Severed Innocence: This is Anby's BiS W-Engine, and it is custom-made with her in mind. It offers her a massive 78% CRIT DMG alone, which will be further buffed when Anby attacks a target with Basic, Special, and Aftershock attacks. This buff stacks up three times, giving her an extra 20% Electric Damage at three stacks.
  • Heartstring Nocture: Evelyn's W-Engine is actually one of Anby's best alternative options, as it gives her a ton of CRIT DMG (50%) and a modest amount of CRIT RATE (24%) just by equipping it.
  • Marcoto Desire: Anby's best F2P (Free to Play) option is the Marcato Desire, which gives Anby additional CRIT RATE while increasing her ATK%. It is really her only four-star option in Zenless Zone Zero.

Best Mindscapes for Soldier 0 Anby in Zenless Zone Zero

Silver Soldier Anby's Mindscapes in Zenless Zone Zero

At M0, Anby is already an extremely competent DPS who can easily clear all of the current content in Zenless Zone Zero. However, Anby's Mindscapes do provide large power spikes, particularly at M2, which is her best Mindscape. For your reference, here's a summary of each of her Mindscapes, and their value to her kit.

  • Static Charge (M1): Anby's EX Special triggers the additional damage from White Thunder three times and doesn't consume White Thunder stacks. This is a strong M1 that provides Anby with a solid boost in damage. If you wanted to stop here, you could.
  • Fail-Safe Protocol (M2): Boosts Anby's Crit Rate by 12%, and when she uses her Ultimate, she gains six stacks of a new buff called Thunder's Cry. When hitting an enemy with Azure Flash and activating the additional effect of White Thunder, it will consume a Thunder's Cry stack instead. This M2 is extremely powerful as it enables additional 'free' uses of Anby's Azure Flash, one of her strongest attacks. If you can get this Mindscape, it is well worth the damage investment.
  • Past Glory (M3): Increases Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack scaling, boosting Anby's damage. Not worth getting alone, but it's a nice bonus if you continue past this Mindscape.
  • Silver Reverb (M4): When Anby hits an enemy with a Silver Star Mark, she ignores 12% Electric RES. Solid, but honestly not worth the investment of reaching an M4 Mindscape.
  • Director's Cut (M5): Provides all the same benefits of Past Glory (M3) a second time. Same as before, not worth it alone but a nice bonus.
  • Prequel Protagonist (M6): When triggering six instances of White Thunder, Anby will generate a vortex that deals 1000% of Anby's Attack stat as Electric Damage. Generally speaking, this M6 is... strange. On the surface, it looks rather strong, but requiring six White Thunder casts before activating makes it a bit underwhelming due to the amount of time it takes to activate it. It's alright, but there are better M6 nodes out there for other characters.

Best Team Comps for Soldier 0 Anby in Zenless Zone Zero

Anby is a main DPS who wants to remain on-field, so she best fits in teams that support her ability to do just that.

Soldier 0 Anby / Caeser / Astra Yao

Silver Soldier Anby Team Comp in Zenless Zone Zero

This is by far Anby's best team composition and focuses entirely on having Anby be the hypercarry for the team. Caeser provides Anby with a much-needed shield and a large ATK buff, while Astra provides an even larger ATK buff, both of which stack. The result is an Anby with a massive ATK stat and lots of damage.

Soldier 0 Anby / Qingyi / Astra Yao

Silver Soldier Anby Team Comp in Zenless Zone Zero

This composition sees Anby played like a traditional Attack Agent, using Qingyi to provide the Stun effect for massive damage windows. Astra performs the same role of providing powerful buffs to both Qingyi and Anby.

Soldier 0 Anby / Nicole / Astra Yao

Silver Soldier Anby Team Comp in Zenless Zone Zero

This team functions similarly to the first team on this list, only replacing Caeser with Nicole instead. Performance-wise, this team will perform worse than the Caeser variant if you can't maintain Nicole's power DEF shred debuff consistently. Astra Yao makes this easier to achieve while keeping to her main role of providing her powerful ATK buff.

Soldier 0 Anby / Pulchra / Astra Yao

Silver Soldier Anby Team Comp in Zenless Zone Zero

This team continues to focus on supporting Anby, replacing Nicole and Caeser in their similar comps with the new Pulchra agent released in version 1.6 with Anby herself. Pulchra is the only other Agent in Zenless Zone Zero that uses Aftershock attacks, and thanks to her Additional Ability, Business Partner, she increases Anby's Aftershock damage by 30%, making her a valuable addition to her team.

Evelyn / Soldier 0 Anby / Astra Yao

Silver Soldier Anby Team Comp in Zenless Zone Zero

This is the strangest comp on this list, but it functions well, thanks to how both Evelyn and Anby perform their gameplans. Astra Yao's buff makes swapping through Evelyn and Abby a breeze, allowing them both to perform at their best without missing a beat.

A player mining in the Skeleton Cave in Verse Piece Roblox experience

Do you know that one Sung Jin Woo scene in the mines? Well, you can be just like him in Verse Piece with the new update. Now, how to find the pickaxe is the real question. So, we prepared the following guide on how to complete the mining quest and get the pickaxe in Verse Piece to help you out.

How to Get the Pickaxe in Verse Piece

A player interacting with the Skeleton Quest NPC outside of the Skeleton Cave in the Verse Piece Roblox experience
Interact with the Skeleton Zombie's Quest NPC outside of the Dungeon Cave to accept the pickaxe quest

You can get a pickaxe in Verse Piece by completing the Skeleton Zombies quest on the Dungeon Cave island. The quest requires you to kill 25 Skeleton Zombies inside the cave right next to the quest NPC. In general, this is easy work as the Skeleton Zombies are weak, and they respawn quickly. So just run around and defeat them until you complete the quest.

Mining in Verse Piece

A player mining next to some skeletons in Verse Piece Roblox experience
Once you've acquired the pickaxe, you can start mining ores inside the Dungeon Cave

With the quest complete, you now have a pickaxe in Verse Piece. Keep in mind that you can't find the pickaxe in your inventory, but it will work as it should. When you are ready, approach one of the ores inside the Dungeon Cave and start mining. Five ores can spawn inside the cave: Iron, Gold, Enhance Stones, Light Ore, and Limitbreak Stones. Each one has a different look, so you can easily recognize them.

Also, as the ores spawn in the same place every time, you can automate this process with a macro. If you want to get the Cha Haein sword, then you will have to farm the Light Ores here, which have a very low spawn rate.

And that should be everything you need to know on how to get a pickaxe and start mining in Verse Piece. If you want to get stronger by boosting up your damage exponentially, then make sure to check out our Verse Piece traits and race guides as well.

A ruined car park outside of a great, rusted wall on Earth in Destiny 2

During the Act 2 storyline of Destiny 2: Heresy, you'll be asked to find three boss-level Taken Knights known as the Expressions of Many. They're scattered across the Cosmodrome, and all take some effort to reach. We'll show you where to find them all in this guide.

How to find the Expressions of Many in Destiny 2: Heresy

As part of the Heresy Act 2 story campaign, you'll leave the Nether in search of three Expressions of Many, Ultra-level Taken native to the western side of the Cosmodrome on Earth. One is very close to the spawn on The Steppes near Shaw Han, with the others requiring much longer hikes to find. The Expressions are also guarded by a group of red-bar Taken mobs, though these are nowhere near the threat of their charge.

Where to Find the Expression of Many, the Jealous in Dock 13

By far the easiest of the three Expressions to find, to reach Mirmo, the Jealous, start by fast traveling to The Steppes. Rather than going into the main area in front of you when you arrive, turn around and follow the hallway back until you reach the garage area. Mirmo and his friends will spawn. Clear them however you like, and you'll complete this step.

For those who played Destiny 1 or the New Light campaign in Destiny 2, you'll know where you're headed for this Expression: the place where your Guardian first rose. Reaching it takes a solid four or five minutes of running and Sparrow work, but actually defeating the thing does not.

Start your journey at Dock 13, where you fought the Jealous, and continue past the red container into the derelict shops. You'll eventually enter The Divide and need to cross the area toward the great rusted wall on its other side.

Specifically, you need to make your way into the wall through the doorway beyond the blue container building, cargo containers, and rusted-out tank.

Once inside the wall, continue through the broken fan room and follow the path toward the edge of the map. It's a one-way street, so don't worry about any tricky side paths or detours. You will need to watch out for the Fallen in the tunnels though, particularly the Exploder Shanks. Your destination is the junkyard of ruined cars.

You'll find Mirmo, the Covetous, at the far end of the yard, guarding a Taken Blight near the cliff. He's liable to chase you out from the Blight's protection, letting you clear him and his posse easily.

Fast travel to the Skywatch at the northern edge of the Cosmodrome, then head west into the building almost directly across from the spawn point.

Follow the hallway until you reach the first room, where you'll find a group of Hive, including a pair of Wizards. Clear or ignore them.

Instead, turn right and head into the room filled with computers. Mirmo, the Envious will play a bit of hide and seek (or at least did with me), and possibly move to where the Hive is. Clear him either way, and you'll be finished with this part of the Heresy Act 2 storyline.

The First Descendant Serena

The First Descendant just released a new character, Serena, who is one many will want to get as soon as possible. However, with new character releases come some hoops to jump through — or you could just spend some real-world money.

Whatever the case may be, here's how to get the new flying Descendant in the game. That's right, she flies.

How to get Serena in The First Descendant

To get Serena in The First Descendant, you will need to complete the new <Sigma Sector> Traces of the Vulgus Fleet quest upon logging in. It has multiple parts to it and it'll take anywhere between 45 to 90 minutes depending on whether you care about the story and dialogue.

The quest will introduce you to a new mission type called Sigma Sector Dropoff Operation. It works similarly to 400% dungeons where you'll face a massive amount of enemies, but it also has the time trial aspect of Void Erosion Purge, where you need to complete objectives within a certain time frame for maximum rewards and progression.

Once you fully complete the quest, you'll be able to play both versions of the Sigma Sector Dropoff Operation to get all of Serena's parts.

Unfortunately, unlike other drops in this game, you can't set her blueprints as Target Rewards. You'll have to farm the new missions until you get the parts you need.

It is fortunate that with all the farming you need to do, you'll earn the resources needed to craft each part by the time you obtain the blueprints and Code.

Naturally, you'll also obtain the Veildust component to build each of her parts by farming the missions over and over. They're obtained by killing named/elite enemies indicated by their yellow health bars.

Alternative ways to get Serena

If you do not want to go through the hassle of farming the new Sigma Sector missions, you can outright buy Serena for 900 Caliber in the market. There are additional bundles that contain some booster items for an additional cost.

For the Descendant herself, you're looking to spend a minimum of $20 USD since that's the closest amount to spend to get 900 Caliber.

an image of steam logo

In a staggering surprise to absolutely nobody, Valve has announced that Steam did quite well for itself in 2024, actually. The grand Steam Year in Review 2024 is now out and about, summarizing all the key updates, upgrades, and milestones for PC gaming's biggest platform. It's a doozy.

Though I've got nothing against other PC gaming storefronts, like the Epic Games Store or GOG, there's something to be said about the sheer scope of support provided to Steam. Steam is, of course, more of an ecosystem for gaming than anything else, with all the fancy hardware and advanced features you can access using it. This means Valve's efforts need to be spread across numerous different avenues, but that doesn't appear to have caused much trouble at all. The highlight of 2024's Year in Review for Steam is the sheer number of entirely new users on the platform, almost 2 million in total.

Steam continues trucking on, reaching previously unprecedented milestones

According to Valve, a grand total of 1.7 million entirely new users have joined Steam in 2024 alone. This number is remarkable especially because of Steam's age: simply not having an account on the platform is practically unthinkable if you do any amount of PC gaming. Steam is downright ubiquitous yet it still finds room to grow, which is the really impressive part.

In a practical, financial sense, these users have been rather productive for Valve and Steam: "The 1.7 million customers who originated from a top 2023 release went on to enjoy more than 141 million hours of playtime in additional games, on top of any playtime from the game that brought them onboard. And they weren't just playing games — they were buying new ones, too. That cohort of players has gone on to spend $20 million on in-game transactions across hundreds of other games — plus another $73 million on premium games and DLC across thousands more products," says the blog in question.

Compared to Steam's statistics from 2014, the revenue attained from entirely new game releases has increased about tenfold: "In 2024, more than 500 new titles exceeded $250,000 in New Release revenue (up 27% from 2023)," says Valve, adding that "more than 200 new titles exceeded $1 million in New Release revenue (up 15% from 2023)."

Valve has also highlighted the fact that 2024 has been the company's most successful and prolific year when it comes to themed game sales, too. We already have a list of the first six months' worth of themed sales jotted down, on that note, so check them out if you're intrigued.

Let's not forget about Valve's darling piece of hardware, either: the Steam Deck. "All of [Valve's work on the Deck and SteamOS] is paying off in terms of games and playtime. Our Deck Compatibility program has about 17,000 "Playable" or "Verified" games (and remember- customers can still install and launch any of their Steam games, plus other game launchers and stores, as they see fit). Steam Deck generated an incredible 330 million hours of Steam playtime in 2024 alone — a 64% increase over 2023," says Valve.

If you're interested in learning more about how Steam operates and what makes it such a successful business, I highly recommend reading through the full Year in Review blog. There's a wealth of information to be found in the document, and though much of it is just stats, it should help illustrate the point rather well. Let's see what 2025 might bring in this respect.
