How does the Madness system work in Wuchang Fallen Feathers? As is the case with many soulslikes, you're going to die often in Wuchang Fallen Feathers, but death isn't the end for the pirate warrior. Madness stems as a result of Wuchang's Feathering affliction, causing her to suffer from physical mutations that act as both a blessing and a curse.

There are some downsides to Wuchang Fallen Feathers Madness; however, there are several advantages to dying once you learn how to make it work in your favor. Thanks to the expansive skill tree in the soulslike game, there are plenty of skills you can use in your Wuchang Fallen Feathers builds that'll change the way you approach combat.

The future of internal Intel CPU production is at risk, as the company has confirmed that if it fails to find external customers for its future 14A (1.4nm) semiconductor manufacturing process, then it will slow or shut the whole thing down. This would force the company to rely on third-party foundries to produce its next-gen CPUs, ending decades of in-house production.

If Intel abandons its 14A process node, then companies such as TSMC and Samsung would then be in a position to leapfrog ahead with superior production foundries. Intel is already facing an uphill battle against its competitors, especially when it comes to gaming CPU performance, as our best gaming CPU guide shows.

This gore-tastic FPS was originally set to arrive back in March, but has now landed in early access following a few beta periods. The Killing Floor 3 system requirements have not yet changed during this time, but you might want to consider upgrading your gaming PC if your parts are starting to look a little dusty, especially because Killing Floor 3 demands significant upgrades over its predecessor, and its advanced lighting will be too demanding for older systems to handle.

You won't need the very best graphics card from our buying guide to start blasting Zeds in Killing Floor 3. However, this is one game where you'll want to target the recommended specs to experience the new M.E.A.T dismemberment system in all its glory. Elsewhere, a suspiciously small install size has us thinking that large high-resolution texture files aren't a focus for developer Tripwire Interactive.

AMD is reportedly looking to seriously take the fight to Nvidia with its next-gen gaming GPU, with the latest rumor apparently revealing some of the key AMD Radeon RX 10090 XT specs. If this leak is true, then AMD is cooking up an absolutely killer graphics card, with a massive 36GB of GDDR7 VRAM, and 154 compute units, making it massively more powerful than the acclaimed Radeon RX 9070 XT, which only has 64 compute units.

As we found in our AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT review, RDNA 4 sees the company catching up with Nvidia in many areas, including decent AI-based upscaling and ray tracing performance. However, the lack of a high-end GPU means Nvidia has the top end of our guide to buying the best graphics card all to itself. AMD currently has nothing to challenge the RTX 5090, but that situation could apparently change with the next-gen GPU lineup.

While there's an element of risk with any online multiplayer game, Elden Ring Nightreign always felt like it had the perfect recipe for success. The clout of being tied to one of the greatest games ever made. A roguelike and battle royale-tinged gameplay loop. A 'greatest hits' of bosses from Elden Ring and the Dark Souls trilogy. With Bandai Namco recently revealing it's shifted five million units, it's certainly made good use of all that potential. However, there have been some downsides, one of which is the lack of a two-player mode - currently, you can either play solo or as a trio. A powerful new gaming handheld has just been unveiled with a powerhouse of an AMD chip, showing in-game performance that, at first glance, makes it a serious competitor to the Steam Deck. The GPD Win 5 is the first handheld to be unveiled with an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU, bringing a GPU that's in some respects more powerful than the one in the PlayStation 5.

This flagship AMD Strix Halo processor is a serious entry into the mobile PC gaming market, mainly because it has an AMD RDNA 3.5 GPU with 40 compute units. As a point of comparison, the PlayStation 5's RDNA 2 GPU only has 36 compute units, and even the desktop AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT graphics card only has 32. It will be restricted by its use of shared system memory and power constraints, of course, but in terms of GPU power, this new device could easily end up topping our best handheld buying guide, where we already recommend its older sibling, the GPD Win 4.

NIKKE Elegg ASMR Shared in English, Japanese, and Korean

As part of the Summer 2025 Goddess of Victory: NIKKE Paradise Stilled, Summer Sealed event, a Elegg: Boom and Shock swimsuit alt appeared. Now that her banner officially started on July 24, 2025, Shift Up released official ASMR videos from the character in both English, Japanese, and Korean

The official voice actresses for Elegg in each language were brought in for these Goddess of Victory: NIKKE ASMR videos. So the English one stars Abby Espiritu, Ayasa Ito performs in the Japanese one, and Kim Hyeon-ji is behind the character in the Korean one. In each case, this is the first of a two-part release, with the second arriving on July 28, 2025.

This isn't the only event tied to Goddess of Victory: NIKKE starting on July 25, 2025. A new Blacksmith H.S.T.A Co-op Battle started. That will be available until July 27, 2025. The official social media account shared initial art of the opponent, confirming it is weak against water attacks and that characters that use Sniper Rifles will be best at hitting this far range opponent.

Wendy's First Kitchen Announced Hololive Vtuber Event

Wendy's First Kitchen, the Japanese branch of the restaurant franchise, announced a Hololive Vtuber crossover. The event will be called Bakatare Diner and feature Shirakami Fubuki, Shiranui Flare, and Tsunomaki Watame. It will start on August 15, 2025, then run until September 21, 2025.

We don't know what exactly this event will entail just yet. Sometimes when these crossovers come up, it can mean there will be themed foods sold. That happened at Kura Revolving Sushi, as there were three pieces during that event tied to Gigi Murin, Ninomae Ina'nis, and Ouro Kronii. So we could see special burgers tied to each Hololive Vtuber at Wendy's First Kitchen in Japan. The official art of Flare, Fubuki, and Watame in Wendy's blue-and-white dress and white apron uniforms is entirely new. It's possible we could see things like acrylic keychains or stands with these character designs.

Here's the full art for the announcement:

The Bakatare Diner name, for those unfamiliar, refers to Bakatare-domo. In Hololive, there will sometimes be units made up of different performers, regardless of what generation or region they are from, for songs. Flare, Fubuki, and Watame have been one since about 2022. One of the songs with them is "Let's Go, Bakataration." Here's how that sounds.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mz410SPf0t4

This means there could possibly be a performance from all three for perhaps a Wendy's commercial.

The Hololive Vtuber Wendy's First Kitchen Bakatare Diner event runs in Japan between August 15, 2025 and September 21, 2025.

Omega Force's Tomohiko Sho, who's often worked as a director or producer on games in the Musou series, asked people's thoughts on future Warriors games on his X social media account. Koei Tecmo's official account then boosted it worldwide with an English translation and request to fill it out. Koei Tecmo and Sho both noted this is "not an official poll." However, both noted it is for his reference.

The poll has four options, with two referencing the major, ongoing Musou series, the third going over other Warriors games, and the final one saying the person who responded doesn't have any particular request. The first option suggests someone supports the Samurai Warriors series and would want more. That branch started in 2004 worldwide with the PS2 and Xbox game. The second one is a vote for Warriors Orochi, a crossover Musou series that primarily involves both Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors. That started in 2007 on the PS2 and Xbox 360. The third is an option to support other Musou games. In that case, Koei Tecmo and Sho asked someone reply with a comment to his original poll to name the entry.

Here's the Tomohiko Sho poll:

https://twitter.com/koeilau/status/1948578957458374804

One of the most recent games to fall under the Musou banner, in a way, is Warriors: Abyss. It's a roguelike offshoot that brings together characters from multiple Koei Tecmo series. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is also in development for the Switch 2. That has a "Winter" release window, but it's unknown if that means it could debut in 2025 around December or in 2026 around February.

Zenless Zone Zero Obol Squad Agent Seed Will Be Playable

While the 2.0 Zenless Zone Zero patch brought us to the Waifei Peninsula, which involved a number of new characters from that region, Seed from Obol Squad is confirmed to be a new playable Agent in 2.2.  We don't know what her rank will be yet. However, it seems likely she will be an S-rank unit. HoYoVerse shared details on HoYoLab and released a YouTube Short showing her voice acting.

We've actually already met Seed before, as she appeared in her Seed Sr. intelligent construct mech in the Zenless Zone Zero story prior to 2.2. She's an Obol Squad member, a Faction that includes Soldier 11 and Trigger, and as such both mentioned her. In 2.1, she comes up in The Impending Crash of Waves storyline. She appears to be a young woman. However, who she is isn't clear yet, and she seems to have connections to Bangboo and robots somehow as suggested in the latest teaser that included a comment from Bangboonie. That infographic also suggested she's potentially violent and a danger both to allies and enemies.

Here's the Seed Zenless Zone Zero Agent teaser from YouTube. It highlights the fact that she's a pilot of the Seed Sr. mech.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/kMiooQT2-r8

There's also some official art that shows Seed Jr. with Seed Sr. and features some comments from other people who met the character.

Zenless Zone Zero is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, and Seed will be a new Agent in the 2.2 update that arrives on September 4, 2025.

Gundam Wing 30th Anniversary illustration

Sunrise has published numerous new projects to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, which is originally known in Japan as New Mobile Report Gundam Wing. The new publications range from a special video to a new manga series.

The new video features Two-Mix's "Rhythm Emotion," which was also the second opening song for the Gundam Wing TV show. But unlike the original TV opening movie, this new video primarily shows Hajime Katoki's Endless Waltz designs for the upgraded Gundams. The closing segments of this video also show new animations based on the Gundam Wing: Frozen Teardrop sequel novels.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueB0oNajuEg

Meanwhile, the new manga series titled 0.5 Point Half Preventer-7 tells a new story that will connect Endless Waltz with Frozen Teardrop. The first chapter shows how each of the five Gundam pilots receives a new Preventer codename: Rain for Wufei, Cloud for Duo, Sand for Quatre, Thunder for Trowa, and Snow for Heero.

Bandai Spirits also joined the celebrations by opening pre-orders for its new Metal Robot Spirits action figure of the XXXG-01W and S.H. Figuarts of Heero Yuy. The metal Gundam figure will release first in January 2026, with the pilot character's action figure following suit the month after, in February 2026.

Celebrations for the 30th anniversary of Gundam Wing have also appeared in other franchises. In May 2025, Activision Blizzard released Overwatch 2 character skins and cosmetics modeled after the Mobile Suits from the show.

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, originally known in Japan as New Mobile Report Gundam Wing, first aired on Japanese television on April 7, 1995. As of July 2025, the HD remaster of the whole TV show is still available to watch for free worldwide on the GundamInfo YouTube channel.

Pokemon TCG the best black bolt white flare cards

For the first time, the international version of the Pokemon Trading Card Game is following its Japanese parent and releasing in two simultaneous companion sets. Pokemon TCG Scarlet & Violet: Black Bolt and White Flare also take players back to Unova, with a full complement of its wholly-original Pokedex. Given that, we'll also share parallel analysis, with picks for the best cards of each!

The most meta-relevant Pokemon TCG Black Bolt and White Flare cards

Black Bolt: It's weird to think of Genesect ex as a support Pokemon, but this one sure is. Its Metallic Signal ability lets you search for metal evolutions every turn, assembling whatever strategy you want within the type. This set's special energy, Prism Energy is a colorless that adapts to whatever you need as long as it's attached to a Basic. Air Balloon is a nice Tool, reducing retreat cost by two and allowing for some swap strategies that rely upon a creature being in the hot seat.

White Flare: The release of Brave Bangle is highly anticipated. The Tool card powers up single-prize Pokemon's damage by 30 against ex foes, making it a must-have for anyone trying to buck that trend and run leaner fighters. These decks could also make use of Ignition Energy! It provides one colorless energy to basics in a pinch, but its primary use is to provide three to an evolution at the expense of only lasting one turn. It's niche, but that niche includes the Team Rocket's Porygon line that remains of use in competitive play.

look at these li'l cutems

The cutest Black Bolt and White Flare cards

Black Bolt: The Tympole line is having a fun day in the pond, with a fun art style accentuating the lily pads. Minccino and Cinccino are also endearingly rendered, both with a hopeful look in their eyes. The Illustration Rare Audino is made out of yarn, and that's pretty cool. But boy, most of all? We really have a spot in our hearts for that Dwebble, in both normal and Illustration Rare forms. Gotta protect that li'l bud.

White Flare: Feels like the usual suspects? Deerling, Lillipup and Oshawott are the sorts of creatures you'd guess would be cute without ever seeing the art, and yep, they are. We're honestly a bit disappointed? It feels like a split set like this could let the White-themed one focus on friendly buds given that game's lower difficulty and the Black-themed one could have all the jagged edges of late-game acquisitions, so honestly it feels a bit backward.

The most interesting Black Bolt and White Flare cards

Black Bolt: We're suckers for cards that are exceptions to the game's basic rules. Meloetta ex can attack immediately even if you go first, priming its Echoed Voice attack to deal 110 damage on turn two. Volcarona can burn from the bench. Eelektrik is fragile and an evolution, but it can attach energy from the discard every turn and may be well worth the effort. We guess you could run Eelektross in a pinch? But it feels like a downgrade.

White Flare: We love the ability on Emboar, both on its own and as a callback to base set Blastoise. It lets you play unlimited fire energy from your hand, and Stage 2 strategies are always tricky but we like the payoff. Funnily enough, Samurott could use a partner like that Blastoise, as its attack scales with attached energy, but its primary purpose will be its ability to swap out both actives for free every turn. Finally, Hydreigon ex is a big unwieldy boy, but if it knocks out a Basic, you get one more prize. Maybe that could help?

Pokemon TCG the best black bolt white flare cards

The coolest Black Bolt and White Flare cards

Black Bolt: It's undoubtedly the monochrome "Black & White Rare" cards. This set includes the all-black Zekrom and all-red Victini cards, and while they're criminally rare to pull (and we didn't get one), we really like the look of them. Make a whole expansion that looks like this, please! It'd be a really slick special set.

White Flare: It's undoubtedly the monochrome "Black & White Rare" cards. This set includes the all-white Reshiram and all-red Victini cards, and we're particularly struck by how legible these are without all the color getting in the way. The Victini is really weak, but the others? You could maybe justify using them just to get to see them more often.

Battlefield 6 Key Art 4K (1)

Battlefield 6, EA's latest and (hopefully) greatest, looks promising to say the least. Given what I saw in the leaked beta testing and the new trailer, I wholeheartedly admit my hype. However, I hear a battle royale mode is coming to BF6, and seriously, does it really need it?

According to Insider Gaming's Sam Sepiol, Battlefield 6 is set to get a battle royale mode, but that it won't be available at launch (supposedly October 10). And here I am thinking if such a mode should be in the game at all, given that the BR hype is all but a thing of the past.

No Battlefield game has had a BR mode before and the franchise has, to varying degrees, maintained its serious and gritty tone, which Call of Duty has all but lost what with Nicki Minaj running around with a laser rifle turning you into piles of ash. Yeah, that used to be a down-to-earth military shooter in the yesteryears.

Battlefield 2042 Season 1
BF2042 chased trends and we all know how that turned out. Image via EA

With Battlefield 6 looking as promising as it does, I simply think there shouldn't be any addition or influx of trend-chasing modes like battle royale. Not to mention that that trend is as dead as they get, with people hopping on because it's usually free-to-play. Just look at any popular BR game today: PUBG is dominantly played on mobile as a F2P game, not even God knows what Fortnite is about anymore, and Warzone is slowly eroding with Activision pouring endless resources into providing it with life support.

Do we really want such stuff to happen, again, to a Battlefield game? Chasing trends and adding stuff that was "popular" but not aligned with the BF formula is precisely what killed 2042. Turning classes into heroes and going for 100-player servers are tropes of 2021 and other shooters popular at the time.

Battle royale hasn't been the craziest thing with the kids for years now, and just like those tropy 2021 additions, it wouldn't fit well into the Battlefield framework.

I would say I trust DICE to make it fit, but given what the studio put out last time, it does not inspire confidence, so I think BR is better left to the history books.

Elden Ring Nightreign hawk flying

Though it should have been a feature day one, Elden Ring: Nightreign is finally getting a duo mode. It's set to launch on July 30 alongside Patch 1.02, which will also bring other improvements and quality-of-life changes, primarily to the UI.

Duo Expeditions, as FromSoftware calls them, were announced today, July 25, on Elden Ring's official X account. It's a feature many players wanted to have in the game since launch but were forced into either solo (unfairly difficult) or trio (high odds of a troll random). Now, you'll finally be able to fire the game up with just your one friend in life and tackle the Nightlords head-on.

https://twitter.com/ELDENRING/status/1948745061984014727

What remains to be seen, however, is the difficulty of a duo mode. Nightreign is an unforgiving title and is borderline unplayable solo, despite FromSoftware's attempts to tone it down a notch. With one player less in your squad, it's probably going to be at least a little more challenging, since bosses in particular will have fewer people to target and more actively engage you. Outside of that, we'll need to see just how FromSoftware decided to balance other aspects of the game around two people, and I sincerely hope they did better than with solo mode.

Come what may, Nightreign is finally concluding its party sizes with a solo, duo, and trio mode, allowing one and all to play the game however they see fit. With additional quality-of-life improvements that are coming alongside Duo Expeditions, managing the game's many characters and inventories will also become much easier, enabling a smoother overall experience—something Nightreign really needed.

Duo Expeditions and Patch 1.02 drop on July 30.

What do you think, Destructoid? What other features does Nightreign lack that should be added as soon as possible? Do you even like the game, at least compared to other Souls titles? Let me know below.

Ghost crawling on ground in red circle in Phasmophobia

Gathering evidence is a crucial gameplay aspect for correctly identifying the ghost in Phasmophobia. Some tasks specifically call for unique evidence, though, which is a special version of this feature.

Unique media is also a lot more rewarding than regular evidence, so if you're seeking lots of XP and cash, gathering it is a good way to gather both. It can be decently tricky to obtain, so here's how to capture unique evidence in Phasmophobia.

What is unique media in Phasmophobia?

Unique sound evidence in Phasmophobia
Screenshot by Destructoid

Unique media is the first instance of any capturable moment, event, object, evidence, or other such assets in Phasmophobia. It's tough to define, since it includes just about everything, but also has some specific requirements depending on the type of media you're trying to capture.

The best way to understand this feature is to look for moments that highlight ghost activity or unusual features. Anything involving the ghost can be captured as unique media, so focusing on finding and interacting with them is by far the easiest way to capture unique evidence. Certain special items not directly related to the ghost, like Cursed Possessions and Bones, also count, so your goal is to look for anything that feels noteworthy and out of the ordinary.

How to get unique media evidence in Phasmophobia

You can capture unique media evidence using the Sound Recorder, Video Camera, or Photo Camera to catch various types of evidence for the first time. The crucial part of this system is that only the first instance of evidence captured counts as unique. All copies of the same evidence are labeled as duplicates instead of unique and are less rewarding.

You have to use the right type of equipment to capture various types of unique evidence. The Sound Recorder can be used to catch all ghostly audio sounds you hear, the Video Camera is for any live, moving evidence you spot, and the Photo Camera is for static items or quick appearances. Certain types of evidence, like manifestations of the ghost, can be captured using more than one method, so play around with all three to see what you manage to find.

All unique media evidence types in Phasmophobia

Here are all the types of unique evidence we've found you can capture in Phasmophobia. We've listed all of the ones we've encountered so far, but there are likely many more beyond this list since there are plenty of special situations you can run into while playing. We'll add any other ones we uncover here. For all of these events, you must be capturing them for the first time in the contract for them to count as unique.

pokemon sleep themed hotel room best pokemon gift

Pokémon Sleep has announced a new "Expert Mode" that'll take your sleeping to the next level. But how on earth can you put a difficulty scaling on people's sleeping habits?

The announcement comes from within the game's News tab, which announces it as a new feature while giving information on what players can expect.

By reaching a Master 18 rating on Greengrass Isle, players will immediately gain access to the new mode that'll make leveling up your Snorlax while you're sleeping that much harder. To make matters worse, this mode isn't even free.

https://twitter.com/PokemonSleep/status/1947645734251073836

By using an item known as an Expert Ticket that can be purchased with cash or exchanged for 200 Sleep Points, you'll gain access to the new mode, where various changes to the game will try to make leveling up and getting Pokémon with certain Sleep Styles that much harder. Some of the changes include:

  • Snorlax's favorite Berries for the week will be divided into one main favorite and two sub-favorites.
  • Pokémon that don't gather any of Snorlax's weekly favorite Berries will receive a penalty, so choosing a team around its favorite berry is vital to making the most out of the mode.
  • One additional bonus related to raising Snorlax will be selected at random every week.
  • You get an expert bonus instead of an area bonus, whatever that means.

As for rewards you can obtain by taking part in the mode, the Pokémon team is still in the process of developing what they might offer when the mode is implemented at an undisclosed date. Some of the proposed awards include the following:

  • The amount of Drowsy Power required to see Pokémon sleep styles will greatly increase.
  • Increased chance to encounter Shiny Pokémon.
  • Exclusive weekly missions will be added.
  • The kinds of Pokémon that appear on Greengrass Isle in expert mode can differ from those that normally appear on Greengrass Isle.
  • Increased chance to encounter certain Special Pokémon.
  • Raikou will have an increased appearance rate in Greengrass Isle (Expert.)

So there you have it, for those hard sleepers out there that want to take on a bigger challenge, you have a new Expert Mode to take on.

violence district killer and survivor tier list

Updated on July 25, 2025: Added Artorias and new Survivor items and perks from the Abysswalker update. All Killer Perks ranked coming soon.

Violence District is much closer to Dead by Daylight's design than Roblox Forsaken. That said, the best options are similar with the top killers being those with the best mobility and capture potential and the best Survivor options being those with the most team utility. Let's take a look at the best options in this Violence District Killer and Survivor tier list and guide.

All Killers, Items and Perks in Violence District Ranked

violence district killer and survivor tier list

All the categories here whether Killers or Survivor Perks and Items in Violence District are ranked against each other in their own category despite being in the same tier list. S and A Tiers are your best bets. B-Tiers are situational and C and D are usually underpowered options except The Killer who's strong but the current meta isn't for him. I'll also provide the best Killer perks within their own section. Let's analyze all Killers, Perks and Items in detail below.

All Killer Perks Ranked: This is coming soon, for now I outlined the best Killer Perks you can get from each Killer.

Survivor Tip: Don't forget to heal each other since this is an incredibly broken mechanic that can be abused for easy Survivor wins with 4/5 players. Plus, the more Survivors heal each other, the better The Killer becomes.

S-Tier

S-Tier Ranking Explained

The Hidden
Killer
• Arguably the best killer in Violence District due to massive mobility
• The Mark dash multi-hits along its long range lunge so you can down/damage multiple people or chase-down one plus it gives you wallhack on enemies hit
• Leap bypasses obstacles and gives you further mobility options
• Low and forgiving cooldown on both abilities
• Stand still and go invisible which is great for generator camping if you know survivors are coming for it or standing close to a captured player to catch others
• Overall a powerhouse killer with no glaring weaknesses
Best Perk From This Killer: Next in Line - Hidden Perks are usually quite weak but Next in Line at least gets you some actually useful info

Parrying Dagger
Survivor Item
• Potentially the best item in the game but you have to learn how to use it
• First you can't spam it since Killers are getting used to baiting it out so you have to wait for the attack animation of the Killer to start to stun them
• Second, some Killers like The Abysswalker are much easier to parry and you can even parry abilities that swing at you
• 40s CD is a little steep which further enforces that you shouldn't spam it

Grab My Hand
Survivor Perk
• Probably the best Perk in Violence District due to team-wide utility
• A must-have in my opinion that prolongs the win chances for Survivors

Great Collapse
Survivor Perk
• Whether by dropping an obstacle or by parrying with the Parry Dagger, this Perk will boost your speed
• It's incredible for running away and when combined with jukes and breaking line of sight you'll be free of the Killer in no time
• Note that killers have FPS and you have third-person with rotate-able camera so make the most of this

Time to Grow Up
Survivor Perk
• Only S-Tier at higher ranks and if you can reach an obstacle/break line of sight after getting hit
• Otherwise A or B

A-Tier

A-Tier Ranking Explained

The Slasher
Killer
• A free killer but is actually one of the strongest options due to huge movement speed boosts
• Mist isn't for offensive chasing since you have to uncloak but is great movement utility for repositioning incredibly fast across the map whether it's running to generators or capture points quickly
• The aggressive chase-down is with Pursuit that grants a decent speedboost and makes you ignore obstacles for 20 seconds
• The main weakness of Slasher is slightly lower reach with M1s and high cooldowns keeping him from S-Tier
Best Perk From This Killer: Brutal Strength - The others just don't compare to fast-clearing obstacles at Rank 3 which negates maneuver options for Survivors

The Abysswalker
Killer
• The Abysswalker is high-risk high-reward because you'll dominate with incredible offense but if your opponents know how to dodge, crouch and use Parrying Dagger you'll have a bad time
• Still, if you can practice timing and the ideal use scenarios Dark Severance can down multiple targets, just bait out their Crouch or Parry Dagger first then use it
• Abyssal Burst has amazing range and can both hit players from afar and highlight them for you
• Suffers from telegraphed attacks that are easier to parry but has great M1 range
Best Perk From This Killer: Abyssal Covenant - This is by far the best one both granting you a chance to slow down generator progression and reveal player locations (Twice per game)

The Masked
Killer
• The Masked is B-Tier or potentially S-Tier (due to amazing Perks) depending on which masks you get so I put him in A with a big asterix on which mask you roll
Weak Masks: The Bunny Mask boosts vault speed and the regular Chicken Mask is just for M1 killing both of which are weak options to roll
Better masks: The Panther Mask greatly boosts movement speed and the Lizard Mask reduces your M1 range but makes you Lunge much further
Best Masks: Both the Tiger and the Duck masks offer insta-down M1s where the Tiger makes you slower
• If you constantly get better or best Masks you are an A or S-Tier killer for the above reasons, otherwise the bad Masks combined with the self-stun for putting on the mask and the high CD make you B
Best Perk From This Killer: Hard Swing or Combo Streak - The Masked has the best Perks in the game and you can't go wrong with either of these two for raw aggression

High Karma
Survivor Perk
• Overall, a pretty useful perk for insta-freeing yourselves after rescuing someone
• You just have to wait for heals afterwards
• That said this becomes much better if you are the last man standing

Flashlight
Survivor Item
• Used to be incredibly broken but got nerfed
• Still, it's a great item you just can't spam it since the killer can turn away
• The best time to use it is when the killers FOV in first person is locked in place like when their M1 is on CD, when they're picking up a player or when they're crossing or breaking obstacles

Bandage
Survivor Item
• Actually an underrated source of self sustain for the entire game
• Makes it so that your team doesn't have to heal you and allows you to pull of riskier generator and saving plays where otherwise you would be low HP and a hit away from getting captured

B-Tier

B-Tier Ranking Explained

The Stalker
Killer
Getting reworked soon, will update once I know more

• Incredibly powerful when you reach Tier 3 because it's infinite but pretty weak on Tier 2 (high aura radius)
• That said, once you reach Tier 3 you have one of the best movement speeds in the game like Slasher but all the time and the second-biggest Lunge behind The Masked in Lizard Mask
• If you're playing in a close quarters map like the Space one I recommend staying in Tier 1 since you can still lunge and have low aura radius
Best Perk From This Killer: Predator: All of The Stalkers perks are good but I like Predator the most due to strong chase potential with a low cooldown at Rank 3

Gate
Survivor Item
• A bit situational but can be incredibly useful for planned escapes
• Also great for relocating if a killer is in your area and moving will cause you to be spotted
• I prefer more offensive ones like Flashlight or Parry Dagger but this is great utility, mobilit and defense all in one

On My Own
Survivor Perk
• This is incredibly useful when alone, my problem is that this doesn't happen very often since I usually play in a team
• That said if you constantly play in games with randoms that get killed off easily, this becomes A or S

C-Tier

C-Tier Ranking Explained

The Killer
Killer
IMPORTANT: The Killer isn't bad and is actually quite strong - He's in C-Tier because his kit just isn't made for the current meta where players don't abuse healing or don't heal each other at all
• This is because the main mechanic of The Killer is both his Sloppy Mess anti-heal perk and hitting three chained hits during his ability for the fourth attack to insta-down someone no matter their HP
• That said, if players aren't healing themselves then what's the point of anti-heal and insta-downs when everyone is already low HP, you basically just become a weaker M1 killer
That said, once Survivors get better at the game, practicing chaining your insta-downs will make The Killer A-Tier for sure along with his anti-heal and other ability boosts
Best Perk From This Killer: Sloppy Mess: While Resentment Clinger is powerful it relies on you getting stunned which you want to avoid whereas Sloppy Mess is always useful for tracking and anti-heals

Pacifist
Survivor Perk
• Becomes really worth your time at Rank 3 in a team that heals each other
• Otherwise it's not that useful if your team doesn't have a habit of healing each other

Twist of Fate
Survivor Item
• Quite situational and best used early when there's plenty of players
• Got buffed to a 60% success 40% failure so it's not trash
• Overall, not that worth it since all gambling features suck unless you like trolling

Motion Tracker
Survivor Item
• This is great in theory but if you're playing with headphones and paying attention you can spot the killer by their aura and steps

Heads Up
Survivor Perk
• This can be quite decent if you have no idea where the killer is and you're on the last few generators
• That said it's not that powerful unless it's Rank 3 so C-Tier sounds perfect

Snake Step
Survivor Perk
• Only really useful on Rank 3 against Killers who really pay attention to steps and wear headphones

D-Tier

D-Tier Ranking Explained

We're Stronger Together
Survivor Perk
• Here are the weakest features in Violence District starting with We're Stronger Together
• Useful on paper but the speed boost is so miniscule it's almost useless

Left Behind
Survivor Perk
• Niche uses and not that powerful, skip it

Nobody Left Behind
Survivor Perk
• You shouldn't be standing and healing others when the doors open, just run and try to juke out the killer, skip this

That's it for my Violence District killer and survivor tier list and guide. For more Roblox guides, check out our Roblox section.

The Work Experience achievement is the easiest of the hidden ones to get. All you need to do for this one is play and complete one contract. To do so, load into any map, figure out what type of ghost you think is present, mark the ghost in your journal, then press the button in the truck to leave.

Even if you aren't sure what the ghost type is, make a guess before you leave. You need to have a ghost selected for the contract to count as complete, although guessing the right one isn't needed for this task.

How to get Flawless Execution achievement in Phasmophobia

For the Flawless execution investigation, you need to get a perfect investigation. There are quite a few requirements for achieving one, including:

  • Identify the correct ghost type.
  • Complete all optional objectives.
  • Find the bone.
  • Fill your journal with all unique media, including audio, video, and photo evidence.

    • Five unique photos.
    • Five unique videos.
    • Three unique sounds.

How to get The Bait achievement in Phasmophobia

To unlock The Bait trophy, you need to play a multiplayer game and get killed by a Banshee. This one can be a bit tough to get done since the Banshee randomly chooses one player to target until they're dead or leave the game. How easy or difficult this one is to finish comes entirely down to luck.

The best way to ensure you get this achievement is to ensure you drain as much sanity as possible and try to get hunted when you think you're dealing with a Banshee. If this ghost chooses someone else as their primary target, you may have to wait for them to die first.

How to get They're Here achievement in Phasmophobia

You need to witness a Poltergeist use their special throwing ability in person to unlock the They're Here achievement. This ghost type may occasionally fling multiple items at once, and if you manage to see this in person (not through a truck camera), you'll acquire this trophy.

To increase your odds of success, you can pick up throwable items throughout the house and assemble them into a pile in the ghost room. This ensures the Poltergeist has plenty of items to throw, and that it will be super visible when they do use this move.

How to get Doom Slayed achievement in Phasmophobia

Doom Slayed might be the toughest achievement of all to get since it's entirely based on RNG. You need to be killed by a Demon within the first minute of the contract to get this one. Demons have a unique ability to hunt whenever they want (after the setup phase), so they may use this ability even when you're at 100 percent sanity.

It's best to play a mode with no setup time and immediately use a Monkey Paw to wish for activity to increase your chances of getting this one done. Even with this buff, it will likely still take you many, many tries to get this achievement. There's no way to make it any easier, as it ultimately just comes down to luck.

How to get Escape Artist achievement in Phasmophobia

To get the Escape Artist achievement, you need to escape from a Revenant. This ghost is slow when searching for you, but becomes super fast once they have you in its sights. You need to get away when this happens to unlock the trophy. The best way to do so is to use Incense to temporarily deter them once they've locked onto you.

All achievements are granted at the end of the contract, so you won't know for sure whether you got one until you exit the map and return to the lobby. Since many of these achievements are based on luck, it's generally best to just ignore them until you find the right ghost.

The fantastic four standing in front of a big blue four on a stage and a close up shot of superman with a serious expression

It's a summer of superheroes, and it's never felt better to be a fan of this genre than it does right now. The Fantastic Four: First Steps finally debuted on July 24, and Superman was released back on July 8, so the battle over the big screen is officially brewing.

Since The Fantastic Four: First Steps is part of Marvel and Superman is with DC, plus both films were released in the same month, there's a bit of a rivalry happening here. With two massive, fresh takes on iconic superhero names, I want to know which one you ultimately prefer. There's plenty to love about each, so it's a tough call, but I'm curious which movie ultimately had a bigger impact on you.

First up, let's talk about Superman since it was released first. It received very positive reviews and has generally been viewed as a wonderful fresh start for the new DCU under James Gunn's direction. Truthfully, I didn't really care much about Superman before this film, but he's now one of my favorite characters solely because of how good this movie is.

Superman is wildly colorful, chaotic, and charming. The cast is top notch, with heroes you fall in love with and villains you hate but can't wait to see more of. It's perhaps the most comic book-feeling superhero film I've ever seen, and this makes it a huge win. Superman is not only the fresh start the DCU needed, but also a film we all needed, as the overarching messages centered around empathy and hope are incredibly timely.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps finally does this iconic team justice. Every member of the team is cast to perfection and has their moment to shine. Relationships and family are the central focus throughout, and they bring so much heart to this movie. It's visually stunning, chaotic yet grounded, and deeply moving from start to finish.

With both films, you're kind of thrown right into the middle of the action and already established world, and it works so well. I'm a big fan of the whole "in media res" approach, as it makes the characters and the world around them much more compelling.

These movies ooze personality, with distinctive looks that are unlike anything else I've seen in the superhero movie genre. They build captivating worlds complete with rich characters that feel real and relatable.

I haven't been able to stop thinking about either of these films since I saw them, and I'm already heading back to the theater to see The Fantastic Four: First Steps again later today. I did the same for Superman, too, and I'm not usually someone who rewatches movies so soon after seeing them, so this is a testament to how great they are.

The Fantastic Four have always been one of my favorite teams, so seeing them finally get the adaptation they deserve with The Fantastic Four: First Steps is so exciting. Superman took a character I was pretty indifferent towards and turned him into one of my favorites and someone I can't wait to see more of. Both films excelled at what they set out to do and far surpassed my very high expectations.

I genuinely don't know which of the two films I like more. They're both in my top 10 superhero movies of all time, and I think it'll take a decent number of rewatches for me to decide which one I prefer. Honestly, I don't know if I'll ever be able to pick because of how superb and unique both films are, and I'm okay with that because it means we've gotten not just one but two phenomenal hero films in a row. I'd even argue we actually got three in a row, as Thunderbolts was also incredible.

So, Destructoid, what do you think? Did you enjoy The Fantastic Four: First Steps or Superman more, are they equal in your eyes, or do you have a different opinion altogether? Let us know down in the comments so we can discuss these truly super films and try to decide which one we think is ultimately more fantastic.

Killing Floor 3: the player shoots at a gigantic monster that roars with a red glow in its chest.

Killing Floor 3 offers signature weapons for every Perk inside the game, but you can improve them with the addition of mods.

The upgrade system in the third installment has undergone slight changes from what we are used to in KF2. However, the new system of upgrades allows you to make in-depth customizations to your weapons. Let's quickly take a look at how the system works, what's the best way to mod, and how to use the customized layouts in live games.

How to upgrade weapons in Killing Floor 3?

The role of upgrades is vital, and the process begins when you start earning crafting materials. There are different materials available in Killing Floor 3, and they drop from Zeds. The drop rates are random, but a few successful runs will set up your inventory nicely.

Next, we go to the central portal and open Shop. Switch the tabs to go to Armory. Here, you'll get all available customization options. Select a weapon from your chosen Perk (or from the other ones), and proceed to create a custom loadout.

You can mod all the parts of a gun. You can create multiple mods for a specific part; only one can be applied at a time for the slot. Once you've equipped the mods, your customized weapon is ready. However, you'll have to complete a few extra steps before you can use your modified gun to mow down the undead.

As cool as mods are, they will raise the amount of Dosh required to purchase them. The extent of the rise in cost will depend on how many mods you're using in your modified loadout.

How to save and use custom loadouts in Killing Floor 3?

Once you've created the mods, you can apply your desired ones (in case you've created multiple options for a single part). Next, you have to save your custom loadout by applying a name. When you're saving the weapon, you'll be able to see the modified cost in Dosh. Customized weapons will always cost more than their vanilla counterparts, but they're going to be far more effective.

Once saved, your customized version will overwrite the vanilla version. Next, keep clearing waves till you make enough Dosh, and then use them to purchase your modified loadout from the Trader pod.
