Xbox has released a new commercial directed by David Fincher that features a bunch of CGI rat-human hybrids in a dirty, crowded city. It's the kind of ad we don't often see anymore, and it reminds me of some of the weirdest live-action ads Sony used to make for the PS2 and PS3.

The Alters launch date is very soon, as Frostpunk 2 dev preps new survival game

The Alters is a big tonal swerve for 11 bit. This War of Mine is about as grave as survival games get, following the arduous day-in, day-out of civilians trying to stay alive during the siege of Sarajevo. Frostpunk and its sequel are that much more fantastical, but still grounded in a kind of gruelling minutiae - Frostpunk 2 especially is all about grinding out small victories with little resources. But now The Alters launch date has been confirmed, and the super-stylized, could-be rival to hits like Sons of the Forest and Rust is inbound, it's time to see what 11 bit can do with the realism gloves fully off.

This alleged Steam Deck engineering prototype just went for $2,000 on eBay

What appears to be a very early Steam Deck sample has apparently been snapped on eBay for two grand, and it looks quite different from the gaming handheld we know and love today. For a start, there's a flash of color, with some blue on a few of the buttons, rather than the all-black final version. The touchpads are also circular, rather than square, much like the ones on the original Steam controller for desktop PCs.

The end result of Valve's R&D efforts, the acclaimed Steam Deck, has gone on to become the best gaming handheld you can buy right now. Valve put a load of work into making the device easy to use, though, and will have made several prototypes. According to a badge on the base of the unit, we're looking at engineering sample number 34. The badge also clearly says "not for resale," and we can already see how that worked out.

     Will Dune Awakening support mods?

Will Dune Awakening support mods? It's no secret that proper mod support can be a game-changer for enjoyment, and survival games have often been major beneficiaries. From significant quality of life tweaks to major overhauls of crafting systems, there are some cracking mods out there. What's more, private servers often come with in-built modifiers, letting you switch up things like progression speed among other elements.

But will Dune Awakening follow suit? While there's only a small chance server-wide mods will arrive with Dune Awakening private servers, you can expect the modding community to chip in with visual filters and performance adjustments to give the survival MMO a bit of extra oomph. For the latest on what Funcom's said about mod support, as well as our preliminary wishlist, read on.

Minecraft mobs list - all new and existing monsters

Minecraft mobs are living entities in Minecraft. Short for mobile, these sometimes adorable, sometimes aggressive creatures roam the many biomes of the blocky universe. They will interact and respond to you, other players, and other mobs, whether that's a zombie literally knocking at your door or the chickens in your backyard coop.

Many aspects make Minecraft one of the best PC games of all time, and its creatures definitely help - be they mythical or real, hostile or friendly. Minecraft mobs are susceptible to the same physics and environmental changes that affect players, such as catching fire or drowning. They can be attacked and killed with weapons, and when killed, they drop resources and experience points, with hostile mobs dropping rarer items on occasion. So, while you can add other mobs with various Minecraft mods, here's every Minecraft mob available in the vanilla game right now - and announced for the future.

Various competitors have attempted to hop on the card game train - Nubby's Number Factory and Aotenjo spring to mind - and All In Abyss: Judge the Fake is hoping to cement itself as gaming's next big Balatro-like.      AMD just renamed this top-end Ryzen gaming CPU to make it look newer

AMD has now officially lifted the lid on a new gaming CPU range for laptops, with the top AMD Ryzen 9 8945HX chip sporting 16 cores and a top clock speed of 5.4GHz. Don't get too excited, though, as these new CPUs bear many similarities to their predecessors. In fact, the above CPU basically has the exact same spec as the Ryzen 9 7945HX.

Indeed, this refresh of AMD's Dragon Range laptop CPUs only appears to increase the clock speeds here and there (but not everywhere), and perhaps more importantly for marketing purposes, puts an "8" at the front of the model names. Nevertheless, we're still expecting these AMD chips to be used in many of the best gaming laptop designs in the near future, as the specs are still solid.

Will Dune Awakening have crossplay and cross-progression?

Will Dune Awakening have crossplay? While Funcom's sci-fi survival epic will soon be released on PC, everything's quiet on the console front. We do, at least, know that players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will eventually be able to immerse themselves in the Arrakean desert, and there's already been talk about crossplay from the devs.

Dune Awakening has had to get creative with Frank Herbert's spice-fueled odyssey, ducking around the canon currently being adapted by Legendary Pictures. With Paul Atreides out of the picture, the Arrakis you'll explore when the Dune Awakening release date rolls around will look rather different from what you know. But will you be able to enjoy the adventure game with pals on other platforms when the console launch rolls around, and will you be able to explore with your character, whether on PC or console, via a Dune Awakening cross-progression system?

Announced just now at the Triple-I Initiative, Ikuma - The Frozen Compass is a wintry 3D action adventure in which a tenacious young buck and his dog get stranded on an Arctic island. The key thing to know is that it's a co-op game, a co-op splitscreen game, if you please, which means that you and your friends must decide, right now, which of you will play the dog.

This game is described as "a powerful story of love, loss, and endurance", which doesn't bode brilliantly for the dog, so whoever dons the collar needs to a great tragic actor. I encourage you to spend a few weeks rehearsing the business of lying bloodied in the snow next to a dead yeti, whining heroically at the back of your departing owner, who has decided he's more of a cat person anyway. In the boss fights of South Of Midnight, you've got to find a pulsing wound on the body of the monster and strike it to cleanse the giant beast of its "stigma". In truth, these creatures are analogues for human characters, sometimes people who have literally transformed into beasts, afflicted by a thorny curse that drives them into frightening states of rage or panic. This is a game about festering trauma - history as a painful wound you've got to poke in order to eventually heal. Strip back the scales and feathers of folk allegory and these are human tales of shame, hunger, neglect, and abuse, some more effective than others. It's a gorgeous game with a killer approach to music, if sometimes hobbled by the ropey trappings of its action adventure genre.

I think this is the best deal I've seen on a PC controller in a long time. Lenovo just dropped official Xbox wireless controllers (Series X|S variants) to Black Friday equivalent prices. Pulse Red and Shock Blue are going for $34.99 with the code SPRINGGAMES, while other colors like Carbon Black and Astral Purple are $39.99 with SPRINGBACK. These are some of the best gamepads for gaming on PC, and honestly, for a first-party controller that doesn't feel like it was pulled from a bargain bin, it's an absurdly good price as well.

Ubisoft's lawyers have responded to a legal action from players of defunct racing game The Crew by insisting that those players never owned the game in the first place. The players made their lawsuit to complain about the game being made unplayable when servers were shut down last year, but Ubisoft have now responded to argue that the game was only "licensed" to those playing, and players should never have expected the game to be useable in perpetuity.

Persona 5: The Phantom X Steam Page Appears

At the end of March 2025, we learned that the PC version of Persona 5: The Phantom X would show up on Steam, and now the product page is live with even more information. However, this is still for the Chinese version of the Persona 5 spin-off, so those of us in other regions would still need to wait for a localization and global release. [Thanks, P5X News and Info!]

The new details available on the page are still helpful. For example, the Steam page for Persona 5: The Phantom X still only has a tentative "coming soon" release window. There's no set launch yet. However, there are two trailers to watch. One is purely cinematic and also acts as something of a lyric music video for Lyn Inaizumi's "Show Stealer." That's one of the theme songs for the game. (She's known for performing the Persona 5 themes as well.) The other trailer focuses on Mayumi Hashimoto, one of the characters you can add to your team. The listing also confirmed that only Simplified Chinese audio, subtitles, and UI are present, though Japanese voice acting will be there too.

The minimum and recommended Persona 5: The Phantom X PC system requirements are also present on Steam. This gives us an idea of what we'll need, as those will be universal.

First, here are the minimum specs:

OS: Windows 10 64bit
Processor: Intel Core i3-7300
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750Ti 2G
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 40 GB available space

Next, here are the recommended ones:

OS: Windows 10 64bit
Processor: Intel Core i5-8500
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6G
DirectX: Version 12
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 40 GB available space

Finally, there are six screenshots showing off some of the characters and environments:

Persona 5: The Phantom X is in development, and it will come to PCs and mobile devices.

It appeared alongside a free The Coop update to the base game and two more Adventurers. All of this is available now on all consoles, PCs, and the standard Android and iOS versions. Apple Arcade isn't getting the SaGa add-on.

The SaGa Emerald Beyond Emerald Diorama DLC for Vampire Survivors includes characters, weapons, a stage, and mechanics based on the game. Over 12 characters ranging from heroes, supporting cast members, and bosses are available to play as. Some of the specifically referenced ones are Ameya Aisling, Bonnie Blair, Formina Franklyn, Diva No 5, Siugnas, and Tsunanori Mido. Over 16 weapons also appear, with the Fleuret, Hecaton Machine Gun, Hyperion Bazooka, and Pressure Point named. These will also feature the Glimmer mechanic from SaGa that lets you unlock new abilities or types of attacks by using them. SaGa characters can also use a Showstopper attack when health is low. The new stage also references the different worlds we traverse in the JRPG.

Some of the SaGa songs in the add-on were also revealed.

  • "Against All Odds"
  • "CCPD, Moving Out"
  • "Darkness Incarnate"
  • "Emerald Destinies"
  • "Feel the Beat"
  • "A Fierce Engagement"
  • "A Quick Warm-Up"
  • "The World's Heartbeat"
  • "Yumeha, Chipper as Ever"

Here's the trailer for that free DLC:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrb7lTnklrw&ab_channel=poncle-VampireSurvivors

In addition to the Square Enix crossover, there are also original base game additions. If you update the title, The Coop and two new Adventures will appear. In the case of The Coop, you can go through a new stage, earn a new character, find a new weapon, acquire a new Relic, and get a new Darkana. You can also earn new achievements/trophies. With the Adventures, one is available to all and the other requires DLC first. "To End an Ice Age" can be accessed by everyone. We can only play "Tides of the Foscari" if we own the add-on of the same name, though.

Vampire Survivors is available for the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, and its SaGa Emerald Beyond Emerald Diorama DLC is out now for free.

Raidou Kuzunoha Manga Available Ahead of Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army

Sega announced a Summoners Guild promotion to help promote the upcoming Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, which is a remaster of the PS2 game Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs the Soulless Army. People can sign up at the official site to get insight into the characters and game. The first promotion in honor of that gives all of us who sign up access to part of the Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Lone Marebito manga.

Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Lone Marebito is an interesting adaptation and take on this spin-off Shin Megami Tensei series. It originally started to debut in 2014, and Kadokawa handled it. (It's even available on its Japanese site.) While volumes from the completed series can be found in Japan, it never ended up localized. It tells an original story set apart from the games.

This means that joining the Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army Summoners Guild grants us access to this Raidou Kuzunoha manga in English for the first time. The first chapter is being released as part of the promotion. Atlus also noted Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Latin American Spanish, and Spanish localizations of that chapter will also eventually be available to those who sign up. It is unknown if more chapters will appear as the game's release date draws nearer. In Japan, multiple volumes of the series appeared.

Here's an image of an English panel Atlus shared alongside the reveal. It only shows Raidou and doesn't feature any of his demon companions.

While the manga is the first promotion, more are planned. The announcement mentioned other things tied to this spin-off and giveaways.

Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army will come to the Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on June 19, 2025.

Netflix Confirms Season 2 of Devil May Cry Anime

Netflix announced that there will be a season 2 of the new Devil May Cry anime adaptation. The first one debuted on the streaming service on April 3, 2025. However, as it is still so new and such a fresh announcement, we don't know more about what's to come.

The first season of the show followed Dante as he dealt with a terrorist called The White Rabbit, while also dealing with his own background. The Rabbit, and many other people as a result, all want the half of an amulet his mother gave him. Along the way, he also ends up meeting and dealing with other familiar characters from the games, such as Lady. There are eight episodes total in that season, and all of them showed up at launch on Netflix.

To go along with the Devil May Cry season 2 reveal, Netflix did share a new teaser image for the anime. You can see that below.

It's been a few years since we've seen a new, mainline Devil May Cry game. The last one was Devil May Cry V, which started as a PS4, Xbox One, and PC title. However, a special edition released in 2020 resulted in it coming to the PS5 and Xbox Series X too.

However, there is a new game tied to the series. In 2024, the Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat mobile game appeared. That's the NebulaJoy game with multiple characters in the game and similar action-based gameplay.

The first season of the Devil May Cry anime is available on Netflix now, and season 2 is in development.

40th Sanrio Character Ranking Poll 2025

Sanrio has formally opened the 40th Sanrio Character Ranking poll in 2025. People worldwide can vote for their favorite mascots, such as Hello Kitty and Cinnamoroll, once per day until May 25, 2025. This year there will also be minigames and additional activities available to folks in Japan.

Due to the sheer popularity of the mascots, Sanrio works with Cloudflare to set up a waiting room to control the site's access traffic. Once people have entered the site, they can click the "Voting started" button to find the character list. They can then vote for as many characters as they like out of the 90 available choices, but the site will only allow them to vote for each mascot once per day.

Sanrio is also planning to publish interim results twice before the poll ends on May 25, 2025. The company will publish the first-day results on April 15, 2025, followed by the interim results on May 13, 2025. As a refresher for the 2024 edition, Pochacco briefly led the initial results before Cinnamoroll overtook him in the interim results. The latter ended up winning the whole poll, which also extended his winning streak to five since 2020.

As a side note, Sanrio's Japanese press release mentions additional campaigns, such as silhouette-guessing and jumping minigames, as well as a Partner Award poll that features pairs of Sanrio characters with other mascots, such as Expo 2025's Myaku-Myaku and Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog. However, these campaigns appear to be exclusive to Japan. Attempts to access the additional links from outside the country will be redirected to the primary English website, which only features the original poll.

The 40th Sanrio Character Ranking poll is accessible worldwide on PC and smartphones until Sunday, May 25, 2025. Sanrio will announce the final results at 2am JST on June 29, 2025 (1pm ET on June 28, 2025).

All Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Character Trailers Shared

Sandfall Interactive gradually released trailers for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 characters ahead of launch, and now we can find all five spotlight videos on YouTube. Things started with one for Gustave. Ones for Maelle, Lune, and Sciel followed. Now, things wrapped up with Monoco

In the case of Gustave, Maelle, Lune, and Sciel, all four characters are part of an expedition from the city of Lumiere sent to find and face the Paintress to keep her from causing people at or over the age of 33 to fade from existence in one year. However, Monoco is a bit different. That's a character who is a Gestral. This means he's not human. Regardless, as he mentions in his spotlight trailer, he is fond of the more "ephemeral" humans and chooses to fight alongside the group.

Here's the first Gustave trailer, which showed up in March 2025 and also acts as a bit of an explanation as to what's happening with the Paintress. It also highlights his connection to Maelle.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWXYBSohs0o&ab_channel=SandfallInteractive

The Maelle Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 character trailer came up after. Even though she's the youngest in the group and doesn't "need" to join the expedition due to having years left before her number comes up, she joined for a chance to fight back.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdD1Jch6UK0&ab_channel=SandfallInteractive

Likewise, the Lune trailer came up at the end of March 2025 too. Her parents were also a part of a past expedition that failed. She acts as a mage in the game.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-9NUF1fguw&ab_channel=SandfallInteractive

As the release date drew nearer, more Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 character trailers appeared more frequently. So we saw the Sciel one at the beginning of April 2025 and learned what the farmer's personality is like.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUfuYbeOi5c&ab_channel=SandfallInteractive

Finally, here's the Monoco trailer that explains how things seem from a Gestral mindset. Part of it begins with his thoughts on humans. It's then that we learned his fondness is such that he traveled with multiple expeditions before Expedition 33.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjDH4_uPsFQ&ab_channel=SandfallInteractive

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will be available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on April 24, 2025.

2025 Honkai: Star Rail Live California Concert Sells Out

HoYoVerse announced a Honkai: Star Rail cinema showing of the 2025 Star Rail Live Concert, and the performance of the soundtrack already sold out. Both of the May 10, 2025 slots are completely empty. However, there will be a free voice actor panel anyone can attend that doesn't require a ticket.

This presentation would involve folks heading to the Regal Irvine Spectrum in Irvine, California to see the concert performed on the big screen. The two slots came up at 3pm PT and 7pm PT. In each case, the presentation lasts two hours. Tickets, when they were available, cost $40 each. That purchase granted access to the 2025 Star Rail Live Concert to hear music from the Honkai: Star Rail soundtrack, as well as a bag with a themed light stick, one of six acrylic character standees, six holographic cards with characters dressed for the occasion, and a special ticket in a bag. A pop-up store will also be present at the event with other merchandise.

Here's how those bonus items looked. Some of the featured characters on the merchandise are Sunday, Acheron, Aventurine, Castorice, Jing Yuan, and Herta. In each case, the character is performing an instrument or engaging in some sort of musical activity that makes it seem like the are a part of the concert.

As for the free voice actor panel, that will also be held at the Irvine Spectrum Center on May 10, 2025. It will take place before both showings at 1pm PT and last for one hour. People can head to Palm Court to hear English voice actors discuss their roles and the game.

Honkai: Star Rail is available for the PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the sold out 2025 Star Rail Live Concert and free voice actor panel will take place on May 10, 2025.

VR-Kanojo delayed for the second time to Summer 2025

Illumination has announced another delay for its upcoming PC VR girlfriend game, VR-Kanojo. People who want to play VR-Kanojo must now wait further until the Summer season of 2025.

This new game will be based on the hyphen-less VR Kanojo released by the now defunct studio Illusion. Players of the game will be able to interact with the heroine, Sakura Yuhi. Illumination originally set Winter 2024 as the release window, which was then narrowed down to February 2025. But in the middle of the month, the studio announced the first delay to late April 2025.

Earlier in April 2025, Illumination published a trailer that also specified April 24, 2025, as the full release date for the title. However, comments for the video pointed out that the upcoming title's graphics look worse, even when compared to the original VR Kanojo. Illumination took the feedback seriously, and after having careful discussions internally, the studio decided to take more time to improve the graphical quality of VR-Kanojo by delaying it to Summer 2025.

VR-Kanojo will be available worldwide for PC via Steam in the Summer season of 2025. Illumination will announce a new release date for the VR game at a later time.

Review : Tiny Garden Leans Into the Polly Pocket Aesthetic

As a kid, I was 100% a Polly Pocket girl. I loved any kind of teeny toy and, since I'd often spend weekends or weekday evenings with a grandparent, it'd be convenient to take along. Ao Norte counts on that kind of nostalgia with Tiny Garden, its cozy farming sandbox. You're basically taking over a tiny clamshell toy and customizing it to your liking. While there are some minor hiccups, and perhaps a major one depending on your setup, it's absolutely pleasant.

Things in Tiny Garden begin with a player opening up a clamshell toy with a crank attached to it. You start with a blank garden with four plots of basic terrain open and a single bag of seeds. You plant seeds, then turn the crank to advance time. This makes the plants grow, can transform terrain type, and net you items you can trade for furniture or new seeds. So you start with a turnip. Growing that after one turn nets you an item you can trade for a cactus seed. That cactus will turn the ground it was on and the four adjacent ones into arid patches. The cactus could then be traded to get two carrot seeds. Growing one carrot means you can trade that for a Basic Collection. Your garden then grows, you can open part of the "house" portion in the upper half of the clamshell, and advance.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVig9KKjK10&ab_channel=SuperRareGames

Basically, there's some light puzzle element to it, but Tiny Garden feels like a sim that lets you play around with a tiny world. Determining the right way to plant to get the terrain you want or need to grow the things you want to unlock new items is important. But depending on what you want to do and the customization features you want, you don't have to grow certain things unless you really want to. However, the more you do, the more you unlock, and that lets you unlock new types of plants and open up more opportunities. It also means occasionally getting little letters that offer hints about growing things and learning about the toy.

It's fairly simple! Everything is rather obvious. You plant items, you harvest them, you use that to unlock new seeds or decorations, and you keep moving forward to build a little world that's to your liking. The tutorials are pretty adequate, and what isn't laid out is pretty easy to figure out on your own. I will say that some of the later plants and items take a bit of figuring out to unlock, but I didn't find it too taxing and this is a very forgiving simulation.

I will note that the main issue I experienced involved getting Tiny Garden to run. Basically, I needed to go through three different types of PCs before the last one finally worked. Though the minimum requirements are quite low (Windows 7, 2GHz Dual Core Intel, 3GB RAM, 500MB, and Nvidia GTX 660 or AMD HD 7870), my Lenovo Legion Go and my cousin's Windows 11 HP laptop both couldn't run it. It would get to splash screen that showed the key art, then freeze. If I tried to proceed, I'd get a message that Godot wasn't responding. Oddly enough, an older Dell Inspiron my cousin had with Windows 10 and Intel i3 did manage to run it, so I'm not quite sure what's going on there. Unfortunately, there's no demo available at the moment, so you can't test it to make sure it runs on your platform of choice.

I adore the Tiny Garden aesthetics. It's such a charming little sandbox. Frankly, it made me wish I still owned some of my old Polly Pocket sets. You know, the more detailed ones from the 90s that ended up more intricate than the ones being sold today. There are some times when it isn't exactly user-friendly, and I do wish the demo was still present in case others experienced the issue getting it to run that I did. But it's definitely a cozy way to relax.

Tiny Garden is available on PCs.

Promotional image of Blue Prince

In Blue Prince, as you explore Mount Holly, you'll notice each room has ranks. You might have a Rank One bedroom on one day, then have it change to Rank Five the next. What does this mean? That's what we're here to talk about.

Many questions can surface about Blue Prince's room rank system, such as what they are, their function, and any potential benefits you get from them. Fortunately, despite understanding these ranks being slightly complicated, determining a room's rank is simpler than you'd expect.

What is room rank in Blue Prince?

Room rank describes how far you've progressed in the house. Rooms in the same row as the Entrance Hall are Rank One, with the ranks ascending to Rank Nine as you get closer to the Antechamber.

Blue Prince Room Rank
Screenshot by Destructoid

Rather than each room having one set rank, they change depending on where you draft them. If you draft a Billiard Room next to the Entrance Hall on one day, it'll be a Rank One Billiard Room. The following day, you might not draft it until you've advanced five rows, bringing it up to Rank Five. The room and its puzzle type remain the same, but its rank differs. Some exceptions are rooms like The Foundation, which stay in the same spot during the rest of your playthrough.

How to increase room rank in Blue Prince

Increasing room rank requires advancing vertically through the house. As you expand closer to the Antechamber, your room ranks will increase up to Rank Nine. Since there are five squares in each row, you can have up to five rooms with the same rank.

Although increasing room rank is useful, especially if you've drafted rooms like the Dining Room that only activate after reaching Rank Eight, be careful about beelining it to the top of the house. More often than not, you'll lock yourself out of branching paths that could otherwise house dead ends, bedrooms, and other helpful places that can benefit you later.

Overall, your goal is to fill in earlier ranks first by building rooms on the bottommost floors near the Entrance Hall before advancing upward. That way, you can clear out any dead ends that can hinder you later and pick up benefits from spots like bedrooms, closets, and storerooms. Generally speaking, you're much better off having these in lower-rank spots and focusing on branching out and building multi-exit rooms later on.

  • First half

    • Wave 1: Ruin Guard x1 - 965084 HP
    • Wave 2: Thundering Wayob Manifestation x1 - 1,455,825 HP

  • Second half

    • Wave 1: Tenebrous Papilla: Type II x1 - 3,327,601 HP

The first half of this chamber should be easy. However, the second half will feature one of the most annoying bosses in Genshin Impact. You will need a team of excellent elemental applicators to defeat Tenebrous Papilla within the time limit.

Floor 12 buffs

Listed below are the buffs that will be active on both halves of Floor 12:

  • First half: Characters' Elemental Skill Cryo DMG increased by 75%.
  • Second half: Characters' Elemental Skill Dendro DMG increased by 75%.

Cryo and Dendro characters with strong Elemental Skill will get a chance to shine in this Spiral Abyss reset. It is safe to say that Escoffier will be favorable in this reset thanks to the buff. She will debut in version 5.6 and can perform coordinated attacks from her Skill, dealing Cryo DMG.

Fight Force Event in Apex Legends

Respawn Entertainment unveiled the Fight Force event for Apex Legends today, and it's arriving with a bounty of exclusive skins to collect. The event begins April 15 and concludes April 29, giving you two weeks to unlock every skin and earn the ultimate prize: a Prestige skin for Mirage.

To see how the Fight Force event works and all of the available skins you can earn from it in Apex Legends, take a look at the guide below.

Every skin in the Apex Legends Fight Force event

There's a grand total of 26 earnable legend and weapon skins in the Fight Force event, with 24 of those skins coming directly from the Fight Force Collection. The other two skins are unlockable through the event Reward Track, which you can complete by completing daily challenges to earn points and progress the track, earning new cosmetics along the way.

The 24 collection skins can be unlocked directly using either Apex Coins or Crafting Metals. As always, the prices of the skins cost a pretty penny regardless of what currency you use, so you have to rack up quite a large bill if you want all 24 skins in your inventory. In addition to using currency, you also have a random chance to unlock one of the collection skins by opening Fight Force Apex Packs during the entirety of the event.

If you do collect every collection skin in the Fight Force event, you'll immediately unlock a new Prestige skin for Mirage called "Apex Adonis." Apparently, Mirage named and designed the skin himself, so you know it's going to be a humble representation of what the legend thinks of himself.

The skin is reactive as well, changing color and design the more damage you rack up as Mirage. There are three tiers of the Apex Adonis skin, and the final tier requires you to deal 100,000 damage using Mirage. Along the way, you'll unlock a unique skydive trail and finisher for Mirage. The second tier requires 30,000 damage to unlock, so you have some work cut out for you.

A screenshot from Apex Legends showing Mirage in a purple and gold skin as he floats in the air, striking a pose.

To see all the skins you have to unlock before Apex Adonis is yours in Apex Legends, check out the list of all Fight Force skins below:

Fight Force Legend skins

  • Torched Earth - Epic Bloodhound skin
  • Color Shock - Epic Wattson skin
  • Wild Style - Epic Vantage skin
  • Voidsprinter - Legendary Octane skin
  • Fast Fashion - Legendary Wraith skin
  • Life Guard - Legendary Lifeline skin
  • Striking Distance - Legendary Gibraltar skin
  • Rad Maggie - Legendary Mad Maggie skin
  • Ring True - Legendary Seer skin
  • Apex Adonis - Prestige Mirage skin

    • Tier 1 unlocks the Golden Entrance skydive trail (default)
    • Tier 3 unlocks the Divine Mercy finisher (100,000 damage as Mirage)

Fight Force Weapon skins

  • Repeater Wave - Epic 30-30 Repeater skin
  • Radical Rush - Epic Alternator skin
  • Flame Spitter - Epic Spitfire skin
  • Topographic Tide - Legendary C.A.R. skin
  • Sunstorm - Legendary Flatline skin
  • Swift Takedown - Legendary G7 Scout skin
  • Shifting Tides - Legendary Longbow skin
  • Keylime Kick - Legendary Mastiff skin
  • Full Contact - Legendary RE-45 skin

In addition to all of the legend and weapon skins, there are also six epic frames you can unlock for Octane, Wraith, Lifeline, Gibraltar, Mad Maggie, and Seer. That rounds out all 24 collection rewards you can unlock in the Fight Force event.

While those skins and cosmetics require you to spend some form of currency to unlock, you can unlock a plethora of other cosmetics and two epic skins through the Fight Force Reward Track.

There's one weapon skin and one legend skin available through the Reward Track. The weapon skin is the Jagged Thrill skin for the EVA-8, which costs 4,000 Reward Track points, and the legend skin is the Tropical Fumes Caustic skin, which requires you to unlock all 15 Reward Track cosmetics.

And that does it for every possible skin you can earn in the Apex Legends Fight Force event. The event starts on April 15 and ends April 29.

Benji in Schedule 1

Schedule 1 makes it easy for you to manage your business with the help of your dealers, and assigning them to their best customers will help you obtain even more cash.

Unless you're using a mod, every dealer can be assigned a maximum of eight customers. While you can randomly complete the task, you should assign dealers to their favorite customers to increase profits.

Best customers for each dealer in Schedule 1

We will move chronologically by starting with Benji. He is the first dealer to unlock in the Northtown region. You can gradually unlock the remaining dealers by getting friendly with your customers and gaining more XP (which will get you access to new regions in the first place).

While it's not necessary to pair the dealers with their favorite customers unless you want to min-max everything, this will help you earn the most money possible. To increase your profits, make sure to create the best recipes to raise their final value.

Deal with customers directly if they order large batches. It's not necessary to sell at their asking price, and you can negotiate for a larger sum.

ciaccona quest cutscene in wuthering waves

Ciaccona is one of the two new Resonators who will debut in the Wuthering Waves 2.3 update. She is a 5-star Aero character and uses Pistols as her weapon. Ciaccona's entire kit was recently leaked, suggesting she is a good sub-DPS unit.

Check out more details on Ciaccona's abilities in this article.

Ciaccona's abilities in Wuthering Waves leaked

Basic Attack

Here are all of Ciaccona's basic attacks in Wuthering Waves, as per leaks shared by Team Gemberry78:

  • Basic Attack: Performs up to 4 consecutive attacks, dealing Aero DMG. The fourth attack applies Aero Erosion to the enemy target. Additionally, Ciaccona performs a Melodic Solo after the fourth attack. If Ciaccona's fourth attack or Melodic Solo is interrupted, an Ensemble High Shadow (a clone of her) will spawn and continue Ciaccona's original action.
  • Heavy Attack: Consumes stamina to attack an enemy, dealing Aero DMG.
  • Mid-air Attack: Consume stamina to perform two attacks, dealing Aero DMG.

Resonance Skill

Upon casting Resonance Skill, Ciaccona performs a dash and deals Aero damage to the enemy before applying a stack of Aero Erosion Effect. Casting the Skill again after a certain period will allow Ciaccona to use her Basic Attack combo from the second attack.

Resonance Liberation

Upon casting the Resonance Liberation, Ciaccona will create a small field and summon an Ensemble High Shadow before performing a Symphony's Finale musical. Clicking the button at the right moment (screen prompts) when Ciaccona is on-field will:

  • Restore a certain amount of Concerto Energy.
  • Deal Aero damage to nearby enemies.
  • Apply a stack of the Wind Erosion effect.

If Ciaccona leaves the field while her field is active, it will trigger her first Interlude Accompaniment passive. Additionally, the effects of her Symphony's Finale will remain active.

https://twitter.com/Wuthering_Waves/status/1907645484203913524

Forte

When the Melody bar is full, Ciaccona's Heavy Attacks are enhanced. Performing this will deal Aero DMG to enemies and continuously pull them in. Using the fourth Basic Attack and Resonance Skill grants one stack of Melody to Ciaccona, up to three stacks max.

Inherent Skills

Listed below are Ciaccona's passive skills in Wuwa:

  • Interlude Accompaniment: Grant 12% Aero DMG bonus to the party members. Can be stacked.
  • Wind of Rinascita: DMG dealt by Ciaccona's enhanced Heavy Attack is increased by 30%.

Intro Skill

Attack nearby enemies and deal Aero DMG. After casting Intro Skill, Ciaccona's Basic Attack will start from her third attack for a short duration.

Outro Skill

After casting the Outro Skill, all nearby enemies will take 100% increased Aero Erosion DMG for 30s.

Based on Ciaccona's kit from the beta, she appears to be a solid sub-DPS unit. Additionally, she can buff a party member's Aero DMG, so she can be great with Jiyan. That said, Ciaccona's kit is still in the beta phase, so there might be some changes upon release. If you're planning to get her, you can also check out Ciaccona's ascension and skill materials guide.

A group of four inclduign Tav, Karlach, Shadowheart, and Asatrion wearing modded clothes and armor in Baldur's Gate 3

The Baldur's Gate 3 modding community has established itself as one of the most dedicated in the gaming space. Fans of Larian's critically acclaimed CRPG have expanded on the game in various exciting ways, which, of course, means you can face the Mind Flayers ahead while looking fabulous.

In a title where player customization is important, many of the best Baldur's Gate 3 mods have expanded upon the game's armor and clothing options. If you could only choose some to add to your collection, these are the 10 best armor and clothing mods in Baldur's Gate 3.

Basket Full of Equipment

Armor and clothing in the Basket Full of Equipment mod for BG3
Image via AnteMaxx on Nexus Mods

Basket Full of Equipment is the most extensive armor and clothing mod on this list. It adds over 800 pieces of new equipment to BG3, some of which are brand-new, while other bits are in the game but inaccessible to the player. Orin's outfit? You got it. Gortash's robe? Sure, go ahead. You can use Basket Full of Equipment as a base mod to complement the rest of your load order since it's got plenty of options to choose from.

Cloaks of Faerun

Way of the rainbow cloaks of faerun mod in bg3
Image via Araelynn on Nexus Mods

BG3 has a few cloaks to choose from, but more options never hurt anyone. Cloaks of Faerun adds a total of 33 new cloaks into the game, from Common all the way to Legendary.

Mod author Araelynn has placed them carefully throughout the game to help them feel like a vanilla part of the BG3 experience. Each cloak is unique, with powerful effects sure to help you experience the game in new ways.

Faerun Colors (Dye and color sets)

Some colors for the faerun colors modd in b3
Image via TechRoot on Nexus Mods

Faerun Colors (Dye and color sets) is a phenomenal Dye kit if you're seeking more colors for your armor and clothing. It comes with over 90 new stunning dye colors to the game, each "based on deities and famous entities from Faerûn." It's lore-accurate, it adds more armor and clothing customization options, and it expands the roleplaying possibilities for players who love to embrace that side of BG3. What's not to love?

Modular Equipment

Modular equipment mod in bg3
Image via Wesslen on Nexus Mods

Modular Equipment is a mod that only a few players can use, as it's only compatible with "tall slim femme characters," according to mod author Wesslen. If that fits the description of your Tav, then it's a must-download, adding various armor and clothing pieces designed to be interchanged with one another.

These pieces are cleverly made to complement many vanilla items, so you can even use individual items to enhance an outfit comprised mostly of base game clothing and armor pieces, too. There's even dye support, which works well (for the most part - some items don't necessarily look like they're supposed to).

Extra Gear

Characters wearing extra gear mod items in BG3
Image via Pooteewett on Nexus Mods

Having more items to work with is nice because it allows you to truly customize your gear and make it your own. The Extra Gear mod is exactly what the name promises and delivers a collection of fresh designs to give you more items to choose from. All of this armor and clothing is rich with details, making it some of the best gear you can get.

Transmog Enhanced

Changing armor with transmog enhanced mod in BG3
Image via Eralyne and Wayden on Nexus Mods

There's nothing more frustrating than finding gear that has amazing stats but an atrocious appearance, but with Transmog Enhanced, this is an issue of the past. You can use this mod to hide the true appearance of most equipable items, including other modded ones listed on this list. This allows you to create the perfect gear, both in gameplay functionality and design.

Everybody Dyes Unlimited Dyeing

Dyed armor with the everybody dyes unlimited dyeing mod in bg3
Image via Loktide on Nexus Mods

I can never tell what Dye is going to look like before I apply it, so I used to try all of them out, exit without saving, and reload to then choose only the one I want. This process was always quite annoying to me until one day I found Unlimited Dyeing.

Unlimited Dyeing is a game changer because it makes it so Dyes are never consumed upon use. This allows you to recolor your armor and clothing as frequently as you like without worrying about hunting down more of your favorite colors.

Aether's Black Dye - Item Shipment Framework

Aether's solid black dye mod in BG3
Image via Aether on Nexus Mods

Aether's Black Dye - Item Shipment Framework is a mod that is somewhat surprisingly not in the base game. It's not exactly complex - it just adds a black dye to BG3, so you can embrace darkness no matter your outfit. This black dye has infinite uses, too, so you can turn your group into a party of goth adventurers if you so desire.

Druu's Clothes and Armours

Druu's clothes mod in bg3
Image via Druundev on Nexus Mods

Druu's Clothes and Armours adds a couple of new outfits for your Tav. It's not a massive selection like something like Basket Full of Equipment, but I loved these outfit options so much that I had to include them.

They've got physics support and even allow you to use custom dyes from mods like Faerun Colors (Dye and color sets). Not every player will find a use for Druu's Clothes and Armours, but I'm confident these outfits are perfect for plenty of playthroughs, especially if you're looking for a super detailed and unique look.

Modular Skirts

Tav wearing a modular skirt from the mod in b3=g3
Image via Beanedsprout on Nexus Mods

Last but certainly not least, the Modular Skirt mod is a must-have for your Tavs who love wearing skirts. This mod is modular, which means it's super customizable and designed to pair well with other mods and attire already in BG3, including those listed here, like Basket Full of Equipment.

If you're looking for more content to enhance your game, you might enjoy the best combat mods, best companion mods, and our picks for overall best mods for BG3.

a long haired zombie clawing at a photo frame on the wall

Post-apocalyptic zombie games are a dime a dozen, but Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days is looking to do something different with the formula. To give you a bit of a headstart, here are the best survivors to play in Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days.

Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days best survivors

Let me preface this by saying that from what I've played so far, all of the survivor pairs are viable in Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days. They cater to different play styles and preferences, but after spending a good amount of time with each pairing, I've never gotten soft-locked or felt like I couldn't progress properly because I'd picked the wrong character.

I'm sure it's also probably because the game isn't that challenging to begin with, but rest assured that you can get through your runs no matter who you pick. That being said, there are a couple of pairs that stand above the rest.

Daphne and Penny

a woman wearing an orange turtleneck frowning, and a girl with red braided hair and a blue headband
Screenshot by Destructoid

Daphne Penny
First Aid Training: Medical items are cheaper to craft. Blade Expert: Increased damage when using a bladed weapon.
Good Cook: Recipes generate more food at the cooking station. Sneaky: Makes less noise when scavenging.
Pacifist: Attack damage is reduced. Haunted: Undead attacks may also add a trauma state.

Daphne and Penny are my favorite pair to use in Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days. Penny is a fantastic scavenger, while Daphne is great for holding down the fort back at your shelter.

For starters, you're almost always going to have a bladed weapon on you. While you'll want to spend most of your time sneaking around and using stealth attacks, having that damage boost makes Penny a great attacker in a pinch. Sure, there's that itty bitty drawback of potentially getting a trauma state if you get hit, but it's only a slight chance. And besides, it's nothing you can't handle by going back to the shelter and resting up.

Daphne's Pacifist trait might seem like a huge drawback, but honestly, she makes for a pretty decent scavenger, too. You'll mostly rely on stealth attacks anyway, so Pacifist doesn't make that much of a difference unless you get spotted. Moreover, her shelter traits are invaluable, especially in the early game when food is a little scarce.

Without a doubt, Daphne and Penny are the best survivor pair to play if you want an easier time.

Hector and Kayla

a disheveled man with glasses and a blue tie next to a girl with a yellow shirt and a pink hairband
Screenshot by Destructoid

Hector Kayla
Gearhead: Gains an extra component resource for each dismantled item. Evasive: Small chance of not taking damage in combat.
Fortifier: Barricades are cheaper to repair. Escape Artist: Create more Lockpicks when crafting at the Workbench.
Insomniac: Loses more Rest each phase. Lightweight: Reduced backpack space.

The only other survivors worth considering are Hector and Kayla, and even then, I think they're a considerable step down from Daphne and Penny.

Here's the thing about Hector. He's very strong in the early game, but honestly kinda meh as your run drags on. Barricades will be your priority at the start of each run, and Hector's great for staying on top of those. He also nets more resources when you dismantle items, ensuring that you'll always have a healthy supply to work with. The tradeoff is that he loses more and more Rest with each phase, and while that doesn't sound like much, it can add up. You need to keep a close eye on his Rest meter as you get deeper into the run, so it doesn't get out of control.

Kayla, on the other hand, is a great all-rounder. Evasive is a fantastic trait to have, especially if you like getting into open combat with the undead, and Escape Artists gives you plenty of Lockpicks to work with, which means more resources. The only downside is that she has a smaller inventory size, which means that you may need to scavenge an area multiple times to clear everything out.

Overall, Hector and Kayla are a solid pair to work with as long as you keep an eye on Hector's Rest meter. They're strong, but I'd still recommend going with Daphne and Penny for the best start.

Locked apple orchard in Blue Prince

Venture beyond Mt. Holly, and you'll stumble upon a mysterious, locked Apple Orchard. True to Blue Prince fashion, clues are seemingly nonexistent, but there is a way to make things easier. Here's how to solve the lock code near the campsite.

Blue Prince Apple Orchard lock solution

Those who exit the manor and head west will discover a locked gate near the campsite. The lock on the door requires you to enter four numbers. To solve this puzzle, you must complete these three objectives:

  • Find a Magnifying Glass
  • Set the Dark Room to "On" in the Breaker Box
  • Analyze the picture in the Dark Room

You can complete each step in any order except for the task with the picture. The Dark Room photo is the key to discovering your distinct code for the Apple Orchard lock.

For the Magnifying Glass, you may get lucky and find it in the Parlor or Archives room. They won't always be there, but you can at least try to see if it's lying on the desk. Otherwise, you can stumble across it randomly, either as a reward or from the shop. I recommend exploring each room as best as possible, as items like this can be hidden on shelves or tables.

Picking up a Magnifying Glass
Screenshot by Destructoid

Your next goal is to find the Utility Closet with the Breaker Box. Set the Dark Room to "On," which keeps the lights on. The Dark Room is usually pitch black if you enter it, so this step will help you see things more clearly.

Once you've found the Magnifying Glass and have the lights on, you must find the Dark Room. Here, you'll acquire a picture of the Apple Orchard. Use your Magnifying Glass on it to decipher code 1128. Unlike the Billiard room's Dart puzzle, the answer for this will always remain the same.

Apple Orchard code on picture

What's inside the Apple Orchard in Blue Prince?

After you've opened the door, the Apple Orchard will permanently be unlocked for the remainder of your Blue Prince playthrough, providing you with an additional 20 steps daily. That means you'll get a total of 70 steps, which you can continue to increase with other buffs. However, you won't gain these steps initially, so you'll have to wait until the next day. You can also turn the gas valve nearby to activate a blue flame. You can find the other three blue flames around the establishment that will lead you to a new area.

Gas valve in Apple Orchard
Screenshot by Destructoid

Besides these two benefits, the Apple Orchard's shed provides helpful hints on puzzles inside the manor, including details about the gas valve and secret rooms. Take note of these hints by writing them down or taking a picture. You never know when these clues might come in handy later on, so it's a good idea to save them for future reference. xilonen and venti genshin impact official artwork

Genshin Impact has officially revealed all the characters and weapons that will be featured on the banners during the second phase of version 5.5. This includes the two 5-star characters, signature weapons, and 4-star characters.

Genshin Impact 5.5 Phase 2 banners

Characters

The second phase of Genshin Impact 5.5 will be released on April 15, 2025, at 6 pm. Listed below are the characters who will be featured on the banners in this half:

  • Xilonen (5-star Geo)
  • Venti (5-star Anemo)
  • Faruzan (4-star Amemo)
  • Beidou (4-star Electro)
  • Yanfei (4-star Pyro)

Xilonen is getting her first rerun in the second phase of version 5.5. Xilonen is one of the best support units in that game that can not only shred the enemies' defense but also heal and buff her party members. If you're looking for a support unit, then it is a great chance for you to pull her. Luckily, Xilonen is also pretty easy to build and is great for exploration as well.

Additionally, Venti will be featured on the other banner. He is amazing at crowd control against smaller mobs. If you like him as a character or are collecting all the Archons, you can go for him. Otherwise, it isn't recommended to waste your Primogems on him.

The 4-star character lineup is decent. Fazuran and Beidou can be great support and sub-DPS in some team comps, while Yanfei is a solid DPS for beginners but falls short compared to other Pyro damage dealers.

https://twitter.com/GenshinImpact/status/1910241350970196411

Weapons

Listed below are all the items that will be featured on the weapon banner in Genshin Impact 5.5:

  • Peak Patrol Song (5-star Sword)
  • Elegy for the End (5-star Bow)
  • Sacrificial Sword (4-star Sword)
  • The Bell (4-star Claymore)
  • Favonius Lance (4-star Polearm)
  • Favonius Codex (4-star Catalyst)
  • Favonius Warbow (4-star Bow)

Peak Patrol Song and Elegy for the End are Xilonen's and Venti's signature weapons, respectively. The 5-star Sword provides a lot of DEF, so it's good for characters like Xilonen and Chiori. Meanwhile, Elegy for the End is one of the best weapons for sub-DPS and support units like Venti, Yelan, Fischl, and Faruzan.

The 4-star weapons on the banners are also good. Besides The Bell, all of them are great options for support units, and you can try your luck if you need some of these weapons.

The Genshin Impact 5.5 second phase banners will be available until May 6, 2025, so you can take your time to farm all the Primogems and get your desired character or weapon.

An image of Zero in Black Beacon

Black Beacon is available worldwide as of April 10, and you'll want to master the reroll process to get the best possible start in the game.

Like every gacha on the market, you'll want to pull the best characters available. Instead of getting stuck with a subpar set of starters, you can reroll to get the best possible start.

How to reroll in Black Beacon

The first step to get an easy reroll is to log in as a Guest. Sure, you can bind your account from the get-go, but I will recommend against it. If you don't care about rerolling at all, you can bind your account from the start. If you plan on rerolling and trying your luck, enter as a guest.

Next, complete the first four levels until you reach the end of 1-4. This is mandatory, as you can't pull for characters until you clear the fourth mission. You also can't accept the pre-registration and launch gifts, which are necessary to draw for the characters.

If you're happy with the characters, there's no need to reroll. If you want to try again, go to the main screen.

Main Screen in Black Beacon
Screenshot via Destructoid

  • Click the three dots on the bottom left side. It's located at the corner.
  • Select Settings from the options on the right.
  • Go to the Account tab. It's available at the bottom part of the Settings tab.
  • You'll find an option to delete your account.
  • Press Confirm to delete all your in-game progression.

This function only appears to work with guest accounts. (I tried with an account that's bound to my Gmail account, and it didn't work.) Once you have deleted your account, you'll once again need to clear 1-4 to pull for new characters.

Blue Prince bedroom

Half the battle in reaching Room 46 in Blue Prince is having enough steps to make it to the end. While running into dead ends is one thing, being a few steps away from unlocking your next room is an entirely separate challenge.

Fortunately, you can get more steps with the right rooms. Every room you draft has a specific purpose, from making your journey slightly more difficult to giving helpful buffs and knowledge to carry over in future days. Here are some ways to get more steps in Blue Prince.

How to get more steps in Blue Prince

Unlocking bedrooms and shop rooms is the best way to gain more steps in Blue Prince. Each of the bedroom types works together to buff each other for extra steps, while shop rooms like the Kitchen sell food for coins.

Bedrooms

To start, here are some examples of bedrooms and their effects:

  • Bedroom: Whenever you enter this room, gain two steps.
  • Guest Bedroom: +10 steps
  • Nursery: Whenever you draft a Bedroom, gain five steps.
  • Bunk Room: This room counts as two Bedrooms
  • Her Ladyship's Chamber: The next time you enter the Boudoir, gain 10 steps. The next time you enter the Walk-in Closet, gain three gems.

Blue Prince bedrooms directory
Screenshot by Destructoid

While rooms like the Guest Bedroom and Bedroom are already effective at increasing your steps, extra rooms like the Nursery and Her Ladyship's Chamber are where you'll get some noticeable buffs. The earlier you draft the Nursery into the house, the sooner you can reap the benefits of other bedrooms.

Similarly, while the Boudoir itself doesn't give any guaranteed benefits, Her Ladyship's Chamber guarantees you'll get an extra ten steps the next time you enter. You'll also get a nice gem bonus for the walk-in closet once you draft and enter it.

Shops and the dining room

Several rooms in Blue Prince can guarantee food spawns for various prices. The Pantry often gives a small food item like an apple or banana for a small step boost, while the Kitchen is a one-stop shop for purchasing food in exchange for coins. If you're in a pinch and need to buy your way through getting extra steps, it's a solid option.

Like gems, keys, and coins, small food items can randomly spawn in most rooms. In particular, options like the Den, Parlor Room, and Billiard Room have solid odds of holding these items. While not guaranteed, the possibility alone is worth considering.

Blue Prince dining room dish
Screenshot by Destructoid

As you learn more about Blue Prince and consistently reach later Ranks, you can use rooms like the Dining Room to get a meal or the Sauna to start your next day with 20 additional steps. The Dining Room's meal gives you 20 base steps, with an extra 10 available if you also have the room specified on the main course's bonus. This bonus changes each time you draw the Dining Room. Combining these perks with bedrooms and small items you find around the house will make it much easier to backtrack if needed.

My Team HQ in F1 25

My Team 2.0 was the focus of F1 25's first official Deep Dive, and the mode is about to receive one of its biggest overhauls in the last five years.

It's not "2.0" just by name; EA Sports made some stunning changes to how the mode usually worked. Some of the biggest benefits will be greater emphasis on realism, and recreate the true hardships of managing a champion side.

All F1 25 My Team 2.0 changes

The core objective of My Team 2.0 in F1 25 will be similar as in the last few years. You'll have to manage your driver duo and ensure all the daily tasks are getting done efficiently. Once the weekend arrives, you can choose to race on the circuit as one of your two drivers. Just like in real-life, a lot will go in the background that will have a telling impact on how well your team performs on the circuits.

Facility Management

My Team 2.0 will have three key facilities in the form of Engineering, Corporate, and Personnel.

  • Engineering will be all about R & D, as you'll have greater control over which parts you want to make and how to use them on your cars. You'll have to balance a lot of important elements like cost, development time, and more to design the best possible parts. You'll also have to balance your driver's morale, which can take a hit if one car receives a bulk of the upgrades.
  • Corporate's job will be to devise a functioning financial strategy to ensure positive cash flow. Players will be able to make the most of the new Decal Editor while designing liveries and managing the visual aspect of their team.
  • Personnel: F1 25 will have a dynamic driver contract system, and players can interview multiple drivers before choosing their favorite ones. The negotiations will be face-to-face, but external factors can always jeopardize a driver's signature on the dotted lines. Players will also have to focus on getting an efficient workforce to ensure that everything is working as intended.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDzAUYH6I7A

Enhanced Team HQ Environment

The new Team HQ will act as a central hub for players to control the different tasks and activities pertaining to their team. The hub will expand and grow with the team's staff size and reputation. Players will be able to expand their facilities, complete upgrades, and decide on training courses to aid the drivers' growth.

Revised Progression System

Accolades will be introduced to the My Team mode after its success in Driver Career, and earning them will boost a player's team rating among fans. This will unlock useful perks, better opportunities for sponsorships, and get better drivers on board.

EA Sports has also planned a second Deep Dive on April 17 which will provide more insights into gameplay. With more changes like AI teams recruiting iconic drivers for the first time, things will be quite challenging for players in the 2.0 version of My Team.

Blue Prince security room and terminal

Blue Prince is full of secrets to uncover to reach its end. While some involve puzzles, others require connecting dots across multiple rooms to piece everything together. While this is usually the case for the Security Terminal's password, the answer is surprisingly simple once you know how to find it.

What is the Security Terminal password in Blue Prince?

The password for the Security Terminal in Blue Prince is SWANSONG. There are four steps to finding this answer:

  1. Draft the Commissary.
  2. Read the Staff Notice page on the board inside the Commissary.
  3. Get a Magnifying Glass by purchasing it from the Commissary or finding one around the house.
  4. Read the scribbled-out text on the Staff Notice page.

As you read the Staff Notice sheet, you'll find all kinds of information describing the Security room and its terminal, including a Terminal password scratched out at the bottom. While you can distinguish a couple of letters with eyesight alone, the magnifying glass makes it much easier to identify the full word.

You're not guaranteed to find the Magnifying Glass every day. While the Commissary has a chance to sell it for four gold coins, its item rotation changes each time you draft it. If you don't find it here, there's a chance you'll find it in other rooms, particularly in bedrooms.

How to use the Security Terminal password in Blue Prince

Once you have the Security Terminal password, you'll need to draft the Security room inside the house. Inside, you'll find a "Login to Network" option, where you can type in SWANSONG to access the rest of the terminal's services.

Blue Prince Swansong password in the Security Terminal

From here, you can access the following options:

  • Staff Services
  • Remote Terminal Access
  • Electronic Mail
  • Data Transfers
  • Glossary of Terms

Most of these are lore pages to learn more about Blue Prince and the house's circumstances. The features you're most likely to use consistently include the remote terminal access to view every active terminal in the house, the Special Orders option under Staff Services that gives you a new item in the Commissary after a one- to three-day delay, and a glossary of words you'll encounter as you're playing Blue Prince.

A Jackalope running through DOTS in the 2025 Easter event in Phasmophobia.

Phasmophobia regularly rolls out annual events themed around different holidays and seasons to give your ghost-hunting adventures a special twist. It's nearly time for the Cursed Hollow Easter update, the first event of 2025, so you may be wondering when you can start playing.

Like all events, this one has a few exclusive prizes you can only earn by tackling the quests while they're available. You need to get started as soon as possible to ensure you don't miss out, so here's when the 2025 installment of Phasmophobia's Easter event is.

When is the Cursed Hollow Easter 2025 update in Phasmophobia?

The official start date for the 2025 installment of the annual Phasmophobia Easter event, called Cursed Hollow, is April 17. No official launch time has been shared so far, but based on past updates, this one is expected to be released around 6am CT/12pm UTC since this is when most seasonal updates have been released.

It starts right before Easter, which makes it the perfect way to celebrate the spring season. We've got our countdown set for the expected launch time, and the release time listed across several major time zones so you can see when it will be available in your region.

[hurrytimer id="1049156"]

  • PT: 4am on April 17
  • CT: 6am on April 17
  • ET: 7am on April 17
  • BST: 12pm on April 17
  • CEST: 1pm on April 17
  • JST: 8pm on April 17
  • AEST: 9pm on April 17

When does the Easter 2025 event end in Phasmophobia?

The Cursed Hollow Easter event runs for three weeks, so it will come to an end on May 8. This gives you plenty of time to explore everything it has to offer and collect all of the available rewards.

What is the Easter 2025 event in Phasmophobia?

Phasmophobia's Cursed Hollow Easter event focuses on tracking down Jackalope Totems scattered around various maps, completing a community goal, finishing personal quests, and discovering Cursed Hollow's secrets.

Jackalope Totems are the primary gameplay feature included in this event. They're a bit similar to the totems featured in past events like Winter's Jest, but they also come with some special gameplay effects. Interacting with them has varying results, and while some of them can be helpful, others will make your investigation a whole lot harder.

The number of events featured in this map is far more than in past events. You can work on event quests across nine maps instead of only a few, so there are plenty of options to choose from.

All of these maps are decorated for the spring season with Jackalope nests and lots of twigs strung around the walls, floors, and ceiling in strange patterns. The featured maps rotate on a daily basis, so logging on often is crucial if you want to see and investigate all of them.

The Cursed Hollow event features both community and personal objectives, so it's a combination of the systems that have been present in past events. Finishing community goals grants points in the larger community reward pool, and working through personal objectives becomes available after the first community task is finished.

While you wait for the Cursed Hollow event to begin, you may want to search for all Cursed Possession locations at Bleasdale Farmhouse, learn how to use the Sound Sensor, and try out all hiding spots at Point Hope.

Date Everything Header, showing a bunch of people standing in a room

After its initial delay from February 2025, Date Everything! has finally set a new release date, and it's a lot sooner than any of us expected.

While the developers initially announced a delay until June, as time went on and no details were shared, many fans expected a further delay. That's no longer the case now, though, as a release date of June 17 has been confirmed, with the game launching on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series all at the same time.

https://twitter.com/DateEverything/status/1896525986675446216

As its name suggests, you explore a world in Date Everything! where anything you encounter—including objects—holds romantic potential. When you interact with a couch, a lamp, or even the toilet, you can chat with a personified anthropomorphic version of that appliance or thing and try to start a romantic relationship with them.

The game features a wide variety of characters and gameplay, with some of the biggest features including:

  • 100 fully voiced datable characters for players to romance, with some notable voice actors including Felicia Day (Supernatural, Fallout), Ben Starr (Final Fantasy 16), Critical Role star Matt Mercer, and Troy Baker (Indiana Jones and The Great Circle) all lending their vocal talents to the indie game.
  • Branching dialogue that leads to multiple endings for each character, leading to potentially hundreds of different possibilities.
  • Each character has its own theme with over four hours of music to listen to.
  • 1.2 million words and 70,000 voice lines.
  • A fully interactive 3d overworld that changes based on choices made in the playthrough.

The game essentially feels like if you mixed the collecting aspect of Pokémon with characters that you can date, with a full glossary of all the items you have interacted with being viewable, and multiple options to choose from and explore. We can't wait to see how crazy the game gets, and how deep the game plays around with the meta—such as being able to date the game itself.

Date Everything! will launch on June 17 for PC, Nintendo Switch , PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Dartboard puzzle in Blue Prince

The Billiard room features one of the most intriguing Blue Prince puzzles: a mysterious dartboard. Unlike the classic three-box challenges, this one offers minimal instructions, making it a true test of wit. We're here to help by showing you a few tips on how to solve it.

Blue Prince Billiard room dartboard puzzle solution

Although there aren't really any hints for solving the dartboard puzzle in the Billiard room, you can find one clue from a letter. This letter indicates that this challenge involves a mathematical puzzle and has nothing to do with the actual game of darts. Unfortunately for players, this puzzle has no fixed answer, as the solutions are constantly changing—much like the shifting landscape of Mt. Holly. But I can guide you in the right direction and help you navigate through the various equations.

Your main focus should be on the colors on the dartboard. When starting the puzzle, four colors can appear, each correlating to a math symbol. Here's a look into what they mean:

  • Blue: Base number for the equation (If there are multiple blues, add them up)
  • Yellow: Subtraction
  • Pink: Multiplication
  • Purple: Division

Each color can appear on the board next to a number. Blue-colored numbers are the most crucial, as they are the starting numbers. For instance, if the dartboard had one blue spot on 16 and two yellow spots on one and three, it would translate to "16 - 1 = 15" and then "15 - 3 = 12". Therefore, 12 would be the answer. Sometimes, there are multiple blues, so you'll need to add them together to find the base number for the equation. From there, you can begin multiplying, subtracting, or dividing, depending on the other colors present.

Typically, you'll start with one blue section, where you can tap on the number it's on.

Dartboard blue section on 6
Screenshot by Destructoid

Once you tap this number, more colors will show up. In my case, the numbers five, two, and one were blue. So, the answer would come out to eight. The third equation is where things get more tricky, especially since this minigame doesn't follow the mathematical order of PEMDAS (Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, and Subtraction).

Instead, the order requires you to add, subtract, multiply, and then divide. For example, I had a blue on 10, a yellow on four, and a pink on three. This comes out to "10 - 4 = 6" and "6 x 3=18," meaning 18 would be the answer.

Dartboard color explanation in Blue Prince
Screenshot by Destructoid

Each time you solve an equation, the colors will change again. You must solve four equations in total to open the dartboard, with the exception of the first answer (the simple tap of one number). Use the tips above to answer each one, and you'll eventually open up the board to acquire valuable items like a Security Keycard or Key. Although it's not mandatory to solve the dartboard puzzle in Blue Prince, it's still good to do for rewards. You can even come across it again on a different day, whether you solved it before or not. The solutions and rewards inside will, of course, be different—but hopefully, with this knowledge, you'll be ready to conquer them without losing your way.

Tom Clancy's The Division 2 image

The Easter Event of The Division 2 is well into its second day, and you can now unlock the Easter Rabbit Season Boots.

While the first day of the event rewarded us with a headgear, the second day brought the opportunity to unlock a new footwear. This guide will provide you with the quickest way of unlocking the Easter Rabbit Boots and completing the grind with minimal effort.

How to obtain the Easter Rabbit Season Boots in The Division 2?

To get the boots, you'll need to find 100 Easter Eggs, and the easiest way of obtaining them is by completing bounties. While there's an essence of luck attached to the process, you can guarantee yourself the eggs in a simple and easy way. If you don't mind the grind, you can get all 100 Easter Eggs from just one bounty mission.

https://twitter.com/TheDivisionGame/status/1909637429931241792

How to obtain Easter Eggs in The Division 2?

To get Easter Eggs, you'll have to break the weak points of enemies. Just complete the following steps, and you'll get the eggs in no time.

Black Tusk Heavy Gunner in The Division 2
Screenshot via Ubisoft

  • Open your map and check out the bounties.
  • Look for a bounty that features a Black Tusk Heavy Gunner.
  • The reason is simple: A Heavy Gunner uses a chain-based Gatling gun. To get the eggs, you'll have to shoot the chain/ammo.
  • Once the chain breaks, the Heavy Gunner will repair the gun. Don't shoot at them, as you don't want to eliminate them.
  • Shoot the chain again to break it and get more eggs. This process can repeated as many times as you want. Once you have collected all the eggs required to unlock the boots, you can finish the enemy and complete the bounty.

The same process can also be done at the Bank Headquarters, which is part of the main mission. You encounter The Hyenas, and the final boss also uses a chain gun. To break the weak point, just shoot at its ammo chain and then wait for it to be repaired. Rinse and repeat the process untill you get all the eggs, and you will be able to unlock the boots on offer.

Schedule 1 bed

Did you know Schedule 1 doesn't have autosaving during your in-game day? Instead, there's one autosave at the end of the day when you sleep to make sure you don't lose hours of progress if you crash.

Despite this, manually saving is nice, especially if you're playing the game's beta branch and don't want to risk file corruption. Let's walk through every way to save your Schedule 1 playthrough and how to access your save file in case you get into modding or need to change the game's version.

How to save your game in Schedule 1

There are two ways to save your game in Schedule 1:

  • Use a bed to end the day, prompting the game to autosave.
  • Use the alarm device next to your property's doors to save manually.

Playing through your day and sleeping to end the night will autosave Schedule 1, so you won't have to worry about losing hours of progress if you crash or randomly leave. Instead, you'll reappear beside your bed, with the clock reset to 7am in-game time.

Schedule 1 alarm for manual saves
Screenshot by Destructoid

If you need to stop playing partway through the day and don't want to start over, you can use the alarm next to any property's door to save instantly without ending the day. Every property has one of these next to their front door, but you won't find any inside businesses like the Laundromat or Post Office. There's a 50-second cooldown, though, so you won't be able to spam it.

You can use these two systems to your advantage. If you're trying to make the most out of the casino by resetting your save each time you lose, you can manually save at the Motel every time you win and reset the save when you lose. Similarly, if you're giving a customer a free sample and have low odds of winning them over, you can try again by restarting the game from your last save point until they say yes.

How to find your save file in Schedule 1

By default, your Schedule 1 save file will appear in C:\Users\(Name)\AppData\LocalLow\TVGS\Schedule I\Saves\(Number ID). While this can change slightly depending on where Schedule 1 and Steam are downloaded, most of this string will stay the same. Alternatively, you can type %appdata% into your Windows search bar, backtrack into your appdata folder, and select LocalLow to make things slightly easier.

If you have multiple saves, they'll appear as "SaveGame_1", "SameGame_2," and so on once you open the string of numbers folder. The easiest way to tell which is which is to remember which you played last, as it'll appear at the top of your Date Modified filter. You can then copy the folder to a safe place to back it up if needed.

A player posing with all Equipment items in Verse Piece Roblox experience around them

In Verse Piece, you can equip various types of items, such as Accessories and Wisps, to enhance your damage and survivability. Equipment items are also one of those, and they offer a variety of buffs that cannot be found anywhere else. To learn everything there is to these items, follow our Verse Piece Equipment guide below.

What are Equipment Items in Verse Piece

Stats menu with the Equipment slot highlighted in Verse Piece Roblox experience
You can see your currently equipped Equipment item in the Stats menu.

Equipment items in Verse Piece grant you unique buffs, and they work just like Wisps—you equip them from your inventory, and they stay on you until removed. Unfortunately, this means that you can't swap between Equipment pieces whenever you want. So, it is best to stick to one or two Equipment items and only grind them so that you can rotate between the two.

List of Verse Piece Equipment Items and How to Get Them

Below is a list of all Verse Piece Equipment items, along with the bonuses they provide you with and the methods through which you can obtain them. Most Equipment items are very rare drops from certain Bosses.

Equipment Effects How to Get It
Kamish Necklace Equipment item from the Verse Piece Roblox experience • Increases Sword damage by 40%. • Drops from the Sung Jin Woo Boss in the Monarch Dungeon.
Golden Earrings Equipment item from the Verse Piece Roblox experience • Increases your overall damage by 20% and reduces your cooldowns. • Drops from the Gilgamesh Boss on the Desert Town island.
Champion Necklace Equipment item from the Verse Piece Roblox experience • Increases your Luck by 20%. • Drops from the spawnable Emiya Boss on the Boss (???) Island.
Mage Scarf Equipment item from the Verse Piece Roblox experience • Increases Special damage by 20%. • Small chance to get when opening any type of Chest.

How to Remove Equipment Items

Equipment Remove potion that permanently deletes a player's current Equipment item in inventory in the Verse Piece Roblox experience
The Equipment Remove Potion "deletes" your current Equipment item.

Before you can equip another Equipment item in Verse Piece, you have to remove the current one you have. To do that, you have to use an Equipment Remove Potion, which can be obtained from basically every type of Chest in the game. Keep in mind that when you remove an Equipment item, it won't return to your inventory. So, if you want to equip the same Equipment piece again, you will need to grind out another one.

That sums up everything you need to know about Equipment items in Verse Piece. If you want to really maximize the damage output of your character, check out our Verse Piece traits and race guides as well.

FAQs

Why am I not getting any Equipment when defeating Bosses and opening Chests?

Equipment items have extremely low drop rates. So, it might take you a while to grind one out.

What are the best Equipment items in Verse Piece at the moment?

The Kamish Necklace and Champion Necklace are the best Equipment items in Verse Piece.

Do Equipment items return to the inventory when using the Equipment Remove Potion?

No, the Equipment item gets permanently deleted when you remove it.

the switch 2 logo accompanied by the console

On April 9Donald Trump revealed that he was pausing his global tariffs scheme for 90 days, with most levies dropping from as high as 47 percent down to a baseline of 10 percent, and only China, Canada, and Mexico still having the higher set.

Since his news, the world's economies and stock markets have begun to recover from the inflicted shock, but gamers in the United States and Canada are left with one question following this news—when will they be able to preorder Nintendo Switch 2?

Nintendo initially paused preorders of their upcoming system on April 4 following the tariffs announcements the same week, but now with a 90-day pause, fans are hopeful that Nintendo Switch 2 preorders will reappear, or to at least get an announcement from the company.

But should we expect anything anytime soon?

When will US Switch 2 preorders reopen?

a look at the nintendo switch 2

While there is no timing for a Nintendo announcement for Switch 2 preorders, Nintendo has already confirmed that the Switch 2's release date of June 5 will remain unchanged in the US and Canada.

Destructoid has contacted Nintendo of America for comment on the current plan for taking preorders again in the US ahead of the Nintendo Switch 2's launch on June 5. We will update this article if we hear anything.

But if we were to speculate, we don't imagine any announcement anytime soon, maybe until the end of April. The situation in the US is still chaotic, and the president could announce tariff changes on a whim again. We imagine that Nintendo is waiting for signs of either a deal between the US and Japan or more stability before confirming its plans.

There is also the unprecedented idea that tariffs could raise the price of the Switch 2, though many analysts believe the Switch 2's $450 launch price will remain the same, despite Trump's tariff announcements. It feels like Nintendo is employing a wait-and-see approach, but as time ticks on and the console's launch gets closer, fans looking to get the console in the US will start to get anxious about their prospects.

If it gets past April and there is still no announcement on preorders for the US and Canada, then that is the time to start worrying as buyers will only have a month to find a console. As such, we expect there to be some kind of announcement from Nintendo hopefully soon but at best, at the end of April. Though nothing has been confirmed.

For now, US fans, all we can do is wait and hope the chaos of the markets settles so that Nintendo has breathing room to feel like they can lock in an announcement.

All seven cursed objects gathered on the red summoning circle in phasmophobia

Ghost hunting is a tricky business, but luckily, there are several unique tools you can use to make this job easier in Phasmophobia. Cursed Possessions are the most useful but deadly options and can be found at unique spots around each map, including Brownstone High School.

Knowing where to find these items is essential if you want to ensure you're aware of all possible equipment you can use to your advantage. Here are all Cursed Possession locations at Brownstone High School in Phasmophobia.

There are seven Cursed Possessions you can find around Brownstone High School, all of which can be grabbed from the entryway on this map. Around most maps, these objects are usually located in different rooms, but here, there's only one area to check. The entrance is massive, though, so here's a breakdown of the precise locations to check for these objects.

  • Ouija Board: On the backside of the pole near the left end of the room.
  • Music Box: Sitting on a bench up against the right wall.
  • Tarot Cards: On a wooden bench up against the left wall.
  • Haunted Mirror: On the backside of the pole that's sitting on the right side of the room.
  • Monkey Paw: Sitting on a box up against a pole near the right end of the room.
  • Voodoo Doll: On a bench up against the back wall.
  • Summoning Circle: In the center back area of the room, right in front of the northernmost wall.

In all regular contracts without modifiers, only one of these seven objects will spawn in the entrance of this map. Custom matches and challenge modes can modify this rule, though, so it's best to check all seven spots to see what gear you're working with.

Brownstone High School Ouija Board location

The Ouija Board is on the ground by a pole near the left side of the entrance to this map. To find it, head through the front door, walk straight forward until you see a pole on your left, then walk around to peer behind it. Grab the Ouija Board from the ground and get to work asking questions.

Brownstone High School Music Box location

You can find the Music Box sitting on a wooden bench up against the right wall. It's a very small item sitting next to some books that are also scattered on the bench, so it's easy to overlook. To acquire this item, enter the building, walk over to the right wall, and continue walking by it until you find the second bench.

Brownstone High School Tarot Cards location

The Tarot Cards are sitting on a bench up against the left wall. Head inside Brownstone High School, turn left and walk over to the wall, and approach the second bench up against it to find the tiny stack of Tarot Cards.

Brownstone High School Haunted Mirror location

You can obtain the Haunted Mirror from behind the column near the right end of the room. Walk through the front door into the entryway, then veer right to proceed towards the pole situated there. Go around to the back of it and look down to find the Haunted Mirror leaning up against it.

Brownstone High School Monkey Paw location

The Monkey Paw can be found sitting on top of a cardboard box up against a pole on the right side of the room. This is the same pole that the Cursed Mirror is leaning up against the backside of, so you should already be near it. If you aren't, enter through the front door, head right, and look down in front of the stone pillar to check the box for the Monkey Paw.

Brownstone High School Voodoo Doll location

You can find the Voodoo Doll sitting on a wooden bench near the very back of the entryway. Enter this map through the front door and head straight all the way to the very back wall. Look down at the wooden bench up against it to find the Voodoo Doll.

Brownstone High School Summoning Circle location

The final Cursed Object is the Summoning Circle, and it's drawn on the ground near the center back region of this room. Walk straight forward as soon as you enter through the front door and keep going straight until you spot it on the ground.

Trying to find the ghost at Brownstone High School can be tricky, so consider using some Sound Sensors to make this process easier. If you're on the hunt for more Cursed Objects, you may want to learn all Bleasdale Farmhouse Cursed Possession locations next.

xilonen web event wallpaper

Xilonen will get her first rerun banner in the second phase of Genshin Impact 5.5. HoYoverse has also revealed her banner schedule and the featured 4-star characters and weapons.

This article covers Xilonen's release date and features multiple countdowns that show the time left until her banner releases on all three in-game servers.

Xilonen release date and countdown

Xilonen's banner will be available in version 5.6 as soon as the second phase begins, meaning she will be available on April 15, 2025, at 6pm. Since the reset timings for each server are different, the exact release timings for Xilonen's banner will also be different.

Here are all the time zones used on all the in-game servers:

  • Asia: UTC+8
  • Europe: UTC+1
  • America: UTC-5

You can find the countdown for Xilonen's release on each server below.

Asian server

Xilonen's banner will be released on the Asian server on April 15, 2025, at 6 pm (UTC+8), meaning the players on this server will be the first to get a chance to pull for her.

Xilonen banner 4-star characters and weapons

Listed below are all the characters who will be featured on Xilonen's banner during the second phase of version 5.5:

  • Yanfei (4-star Pyro)
  • Beidou (4-star Electro)
  • Faruzan (4-star Anemo)

Yanfei is a decent damage dealer and a good unit for starters, but compared to other damage dealers of the same element, she can be quite underwhelming. However, the other two 4-star characters are pretty solid and can be amazing in some team comps.

The weapons banner in the second half will feature the following:

  • Peak Patrol Song (5-star Sword)
  • Elegy for the End (5-star Bow)
  • Sacrificial Sword (4-star Sword)
  • The Bell (4-star Claymore)
  • Favonius Lance (4-star Polearm)
  • Favonius Codex (4-star Catalyst)
  • Favonius Warbow (4-star Bow)

Peak Patrol Song is Xilonen's signature weapon. It provides a ton of DEF and is good for characters like Xilonen, Albedo, and Chiori. Meanwhile, Elegy for the End is Venti's signature and is one of the best Bows for support and sub-DPS units like Yelan, Faruzan, and Fischl.

Xilonen's banner will be available until May 6, 2025, so you have enough time to farm Primogems and pull her.

A person is reeling in a dead cappy bara fish with the title on top and bottom of the page

After months of building hype, Roblox Fisch released its most ambitious update yet: the Second Sea. Only two weeks after release, the devs are seriously considering removing it entirely. What went wrong with this popular quirky fishing game? We've been doing guides on Roblox Fisch since the game launched, especially during the Second Sea update, and here's what we know.

The Fisch Life Cycle

Since its launch on October 5th, 2024, Fisch has enjoyed overwhelming success. Its casual and relaxing gameplay captivated players from all over the world. With over one million game likes and just under three billion visits, Fisch achieved popularity that most other Roblox games can only dream of.

One thing that kept veteran players coming back (and new players coming in) was the updates. Each week, Fisch would release a mini-update, and every month or so there would be a bigger one. These updates would add new fish, new rods, and new areas to the game. One thing that many players liked about these updates was that it was accessible to anyone (even brand new players). Veterans got something new to do, while new players got a faster way of catching up with the veterans. This cycle kept going for months, and problems started arising. Even though the game was still beginner-friendly, some late-game content required weeks of grinding, and some players felt that this needed to change. And change definitely came on March 29th.

New Sea - New Problems

Releasing an entirely new area is nothing new for a Roblox game. Games like Blox Fruits have found great success with their Second and Third Seas, so adding a Second Sea to Fisch seemed like a solid plan. However, it's not common for a massive update to almost completely disregard its older content. Unfortunately, this is exactly how many players felt with Fisch's Second Sea update.

A Fisch player has gained a level in the Second Sea
Screenshot by Destructoid

Firstly, to even access the Second Sea, players needed to be level 200, a feat many did not achieve. Even though the level cap was at 1,000, many did not consider going higher than 100 because, as we've said, most content was available to all players, regardless of playtime.

Secondly, those who were able to get to the Second Sea found that all of their progress from the First Sea was almost completely irrelevant. The Second Sea used an entirely new in-game currency, meaning everyone started the update with nothing. Even worse, the powerful fishing rods from the First Sea received a debuffs, making them much less effective in the Second Sea.

Last, but arguably, the biggest problem players seem to have is that the Second Sea, was that it felt more like starting a New Game (of Fisch) rather than an update. The new rods in the Second Sea felt more like reskins of the existing rods, the new areas weren't that interesting, the level cap increase (from 1,000 up to 2,500) felt like an overreach, but most importantly, the game just wasn't fun according to many. Some felt like the developers wanted a fresh start, rather than improve the game.

The Players Have Spoken: They Don't Like the Second Sea

Pretty soon after the update went live, players started complaining, especially on the official Discord. However, even if the complaints fell on deaf ears, what was immediately clear was that many were quitting the game. Either because all their hard work didn't pay off, because they didn't want to grind (again), or because they weren't having fun, players started abandoning the game by the thousands after the Second Sea launched.

Finally, on April 7th, 2025, the developers released a pool where almost 50,000 players got a chance to vote. The results speak for themselves.

Even after such clear results, the devs tried again with a different pool in hope to somehow saving all their hard work. Again, the results speak for themself.

An ominous message left by one of the devs about the future of Fisch Second Sea

While the devs haven't yet confirmed their plans, the final announcement regarding the subject seems to suggest that some things are about to change.

The Future of Fisch

At this point, it's too early to say, but one thing is for sure: change is coming to the beloved, yet quirky, Roblox fishing game. Despite the drop in players, Fisch is still an insanely popular game, and the developers genuinely seem like they care about their players' opinion. Whatever the case, we'll continue to follow and cover Fisch.

That's all there is to it. To stay up to date with Fisch, check out our latest guides. If you are just starting out, make sure to use our Fisch codes for some cool in-game freebies.

official rune trello board

After a few launch hurdles and a name change, Rune is finally here in all its Bleach glory. Whatever race you choose to progress with, some extra help from a Wiki-like source is always appreciated to get you started and to give you an overview. That's exactly why I would check out the official Rune Trello and Discord.

all rune social links
Image via Lookim

Besides the official Rune Trello, here are all the social links you'll need to play this Bleach RPG:

When you first start playing Rune the biggest question is going to be which race you want to pick and progress with. Your choices as with many Bleach games are Soul Reaper, Hollow/Arrancar, or Quincy. That's why I would start with the Trello board since there you'll get a Wiki-like overview of everything. You can find information on:

  • Soul Reaper Progression
  • Hollow and Arrancar Progression
  • Quincy Progression
  • Q&A and Basic Mechanics Guide
  • Codes
  • Raids
  • All Skill Trees
  • All Items
  • Event Information
  • All Accessories
  • All Resurrections
  • All Shikai
  • All Schrifts
  • All Weapons
  • All Skills and Vows
  • All Locations and NPCs

Trello Note: If you're accessing the Rune Trello on launch April 10, 2025 and a few days/weeks after, note that some stuff might be outdated as of the testing period.

That said, if you want a more thorough explanation on something or opinions from testers and experts, the Discord is the place to be. That's where you can inquire about tier lists, looking for a group, and much more. I also recommend it for following the latest codes.

It's a great place to stay in touch with the latest sneak peaks, announcements, and patch notes. The latter two are the most important to follow, especially the patch notes so that you can check the latest buffs and nerfs.

That's it for my guide on all Rune Trello and social links. Check out our Rune codes for free goodies.
