The Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy character trailer rollout continues, and Zidane from FFIX is the next featured unit. As usual, the video focuses on his appearance in the past before looking at his real-world look in the spin-off, new types of attacks, and possible role in the story.
The Zidane trailer starts by showing footage from the PS1 game of the character in cinematics and battle. Then, we see his more modern look and learn Romi Park is the Japanese voice actress playing him. She's played the character in multiple Dissidia installments, and we also heard her as Bleach's Toshiro Hitsugaya, Fullmetal Alchemist's Edward Elric, and Persona's Naoto Shirogane.
From there, the focus shifts to combat. After seeing some normal attacks, we get to watch his skills. He performs Swift Strike, Sleight of Hand, Trance, and Grand Lethal here.
You can see the full Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy Zidane character trailer below. It ends with a cinematic where he states, "And that's exactly why people call us 'ghosts.' We disappear the second they see us."
In case you missed some of the past trailers, here are all of the other characters Square Enix showed off so far.
Square Enix should share a trailer highlighting Rinoa Heartilly from FFVIII next.
Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy pre-registration is live, and the game is expected to debut in March 2026 debut on Android and Apple iOS mobile devices.

Another playable fae character will join Genshin Impact soon, as HoYoVerse used drip marketing to tease the debut of Linnea after the Luna VI update patch appears. She's an upcoming Geo character, and it's likely she'll be a five-star as she's the only unit teased for the new version. Official art of her and her first teaser stories appeared on social media.
We've heard a few references to Linnea ahead of her official playable debut in Genshin Impact. Both Aino and Ineffa talked about her. In Aino's case, she explained how she's known the new character for years and that she often told people stories about her journeys for the Adventurers' Guild. Ineffa explained that Linnea seemed scared of her, and Aino also mentioned she never seemed to want a robot as a gift. In the other HoYoVerse announcement, it noted she's known as the Augurs of Wonders and has the Alcyon Constellation.
Here's the official tweet discussing Linnea's travels as an Adventurers' Guild advisor.
In the meantime, another new Genshin Impact character is available right now. One of the current Luna V banners is for Varka. He'll be available until March 17, 2026. That's also when the Flins first rerun banner will end. Those will be followed by reruns of the Escoffier and Skirk banners.
Genshin Impact is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, and Linnea will be a new playable character after the Luna VI version update arrives.

As part of the HoloFes 2026 event in Japan, Good Smile Company shared updates on all new and previously announced Hololive Vtuber Nendoroids and figures. This included Nendoroids, Pop Up Parade budget figures, scale figures, and figma. Six of the ones shown were already at the painted prototype stage, suggesting pre-orders for them could open over the next few weeks and appear on Amazon and the official online storefront.
When it comes to Hololive Vtuber Nendoroids, nine showed up at HoloFes 2026. The two closest to launching are the ones of Hakos Baelz and IRyS, as they both appeared as painted prototypes at the event. The rest of the Advent unit appeared, as unpainted prototypes of Koseki Bijou, Nerissa Ravencroft, and Shiori Novella showed up. The newest announcement in this line involved ReGloss joining the collection, as unpainted prototypes of Ichijou Ririka, Juufuutei Raden, Otonose Kanada, and Todoroki Hajime came up. (As Hiodoshi Ao graduated, there isn't one of her on the way.)
Here's how those all look:
In terms of figma, we saw some in all different stages of development. The Nekomata Okayu one is already at the painted prototype phase. Ookami Mio showed up as an unpainted prototype. Hakui Koyori and Kazama Iroha will join too, but there's only concept art for both now. While not a figma, an unpainted Houshou Marine Plamatea articulated plastic model kit prototype came up too.
Good Smile Company shared these photos of those:
A few scale figures were on display as well. A Houshou Marine: Businesswoman Outfit version figure is in development. The 1/7 scale Tsunomaki Watame showed up unpainted. Finally, the painted Sakura Miko: Date Style Casual Outfit figure appeared.
You can see those below:
Out of all the new Hololive Vtuber figures to appear, however, the most reveals and announcements were part of the Pop Up Parade line. Since there were so many, here they all are in a list. Also, this time most of them were L Size line announcements, which are larger and more detailed than standard Pop Up Parades.
And here are all the photos and concept art reveals for those announcements:
The new Hololive Vtuber figures and Nendoroids are in development, and we'll likely see pre-orders of ones of Hakos Baelz, IRyS, Nekomata Okayu, and Fuwawa and Mococo Abyssgard soon.

Pop Mart and Sanrio announced a collection of Hello Kitty and friends Labubu plush pendant blind boxes of the character dressed as mascot characters and a large vinyl plush. Everything will launch on March 12, 2026. They aren't on the Amazon storefront yet, but the official site has listings for both. The blind boxes will be $39.99 each, and the larger vinyl plush doll is $149.99.
In the case of the Hello Kitty and Friends plush pendant blind boxes, it features a Labubu dressed as the famous cat mascot, Cinnamoroll, Kuromi, My Melody, Pochacco, and Pompompurin. In each case, The Monsters character is wearing a hood or hat that resembles the Sanrio mascot and a matching outfit or dress. The secret character, which has 1/72 odds chance of appearing, is a classic Hello Kitty style one. Each one is about seven inches tall and features a keychain attached.
There are already photos showing how each one will look, which you can see below:
In the case of the larger vinyl plush of the Popmart The Monsters character dressed as Hello Kitty, it is a more posable item. It stands at about 15 inches tall. Its arms and legs should be able to move. The Hello Kitty headband can be pulled down to use as a mask or eyemask or removed. The red overalls also have a Hello Kitty heart inside.
Here's how that looks:
This is the second major crossover between Popmart characters and another IP in the last few weeks. The previous one involved the Skullpanda line and My Little Pony. That involved a collection of blind box plush pendants.
The Hello Kitty and friends Labubu Sanrio plush pendant blind boxes collection and the large vinyl plush doll will all launch on March 12, 2026.

Bandai Namco Experience announced that it will start doing location tests in Japan for its Biohazard RE:2 Arcade game booths, which is essentially Resident Evil 2 Remake Arcade, in mid-March 2026. It is planning to release the full versions of the title based on the console and PC release in Japan and Europe sometime in 2026, though there's no word on when we might see it in North America.
According to the press release, the arcade booths will feature gimmicks that make the experience more immersive. The gun will feel real (likely haptic feedback that emulates gun recoil), a vibrating floor, and compressed air that shoots out at the player. In a trailer for the game, we can see familiar enemies like Lickers and Mister X. The playable characters (Leon and Claire) can also pick up Green Herbs to restore their health, much like in the original title.
There are some differences between the Biohazard RE:2 Arcade arcade version of Resident Evil 2 Remake and the actual game, though. In the trailer, we can see Leon and Claire having to deal with Hunter Gammas. These guys debuted in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (including the remake), so Leon and Claire never had to deal with them while in Raccoon City. There's also a scene of both Leon and Claire going outside to meet Ada, even though Claire never did.
Here's the first trailer:
And you can see early screenshots here:
Resident Evil 2 Remake Arcade will appear in Japan in mid-March 2026 for a location test, and the full version will appear in Japanese and European arcades in 2026. Resident Evil 2 Remake is readily available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC.

Cover and Bandai Namco have published details for the major special collaboration project between Hololive Production and the Gundam franchise. Following Hoshimachi Suisei's contributions to the soundtrack of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, the agency will have its Vtubers more involved with the Japanese mecha franchise.
Sunrise will feature the Hololive Vtubers in new mini-stories spanning multiple episodes. This project will encompass a broad range of media, including music, merchandise, and games.
One of the main highlights of this crossover will be the Mobile Suits from the Gundam franchise receiving new liveries based on the Vtuber agency and talents. The RX-78-2 Gundam will particularly get a livery that represents the Hololive Production agency.
Sunrise also revealed that a number of Hololive Vtubers will also get their own Mobile Suit liveries. The following six Vtubers are being grouped as the first batch, which also serves as a teaser that more Vtubers will join the fray later on.
A trailer for the crossover project has also appeared on the Japanese Gundam Channel on YouTube. This trailer includes a teaser showing how the featured Vtubers will also receive new designs for the pilot suits they will wear inside their respective Mobile Suits.
A booth showcasing the Gundam crossover project is also available at Hololive Super Expo 2026, which takes place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, until March 8, 2026. Bandai Namco and Sunrise will publish more information about this collaboration at a later date.

While there's no Super Mario game series presentation planned ahead of Mario (Mar10) Day, Nintendo confirmed there will be a The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Direct on March 9, 2026. That will appear at 2pm PT/5pm ET/11pm CET. It appeared alongside new key art that showed returning major characters like Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser, Bowser Jr, and Yoshi alongside more minor ones like Mouser and Wart. However, we do know there will be sales on Switch and Switch 2 games in the series starting on March 8, 2026 and themed Lunchables with Nintendo series like Mario Kart World.
Nintendo didn't state how long The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Direct, but did confirm it won't include any Mario Day game announcements ahead of March 10, 2026. It did note that part of the showcase will involve seeing the last trailer for the film. As the key art featured Mouser and Wart, it could mean we'll see hints at their cameos during that presentation.
Here's the placeholder for that:
In terms of the Mar10 Day game sales, those Super Mario discounts will appear between March 8-14, 2026. This will apply to digital eShop releases and physical copies at stores like Best Buy. The company confirmed the following titles will be part of that:
On March 10, 2026, we'll also see some Nintendo Switch Online Game Boy Advance and Virtual Boy games released.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Nintendo Direct will air at 2pm PT/5pm ET/11pm CET on March 9, 2026, and the film will debut on April 1, 2026.

Every seven or eight years, the gaming industry resets itself and starts a "new generation." These generations are named after console iterations, and we are now firmly in the ninth, which began with the release of Xbox Series S/X and the PlayStation 5 in late 2020.
Six years have passed since the current generation began, and following previous patterns, we are set to inaugurate the 10th generation by the end of 2027, if not 2028. Given that the state of console gaming is rather unpredictable, the next generation could very well begin even this year, and Xbox's latest announcement strongly indicates that.
Project Helix, as it is aptly named, is Xbox's next-gen console, which could make or break the brand's position in the industry.
Here is everything we know about it.
Xbox Project Helix - What it is, its specs, and features
Announced on March 5, Project Helix is Xbox's next console, which is going to start the 10th generation of consoles and become the company's flagship follow-up to the Series X/S.
New Xbox chief Asha Sharma didn't offer too much information about the console itself, but nevertheless strongly indicated it is going to take console gaming beyond exclusivity and into an era of multiplatformity, which was strongly promoted under Phil Spencer.
"Project Helix will lead in performance and play your Xbox and PC games," Sharma said on X, suggesting this new console will have the capability to run PC games natively, allowing for further cross-platform engagement. Whether that involves Steam or just Game Pass is as of yet unknown, but it appears Microsoft is open to crossing platform borders, even if only within its own framework.
As per Overclock3D, via Moore's Law is Dead, Project Helix is going to run on AMD-made silicon built on the advanced Zen 6 architecture and equipped with an RDNA 5-based GPU. This is a four-generation jump in processing power over the Zen 2- and RDNA 2-based silicon of the current Xbox consoles, indicating we will see a massive leap in graphical fidelity and capability between these two console generations.
AMD has been rapidly catching up with Nvidia on AI upscaling technologies like FSR, and though it is still well behind Team Green, it can finally offer competitive tools for developers to use in producing well-performing, good-looking games. Sony recently released its PSSR 2 upscaler, which also works on AMD-based hardware in its PS5 Pro, giving us a strong indication of what AMD's processors are capable of nowadays.
For those who do not want to dabble in technical mumbo-jumbo, it's safe to say that Project Helix will be a strong, capable console capable of running demanding titles at high resolutions, especially when upscaling is taken into account. We could finally be looking at native 4K performance targeting at least 30 fps or 60 fps+ with upscaling.
Overclock3D also claimed that the next Xbox will launch in 2027, placing it firmly within the seven- to eight-year gap between console generations. Since Xbox never released a "Pro" version this time around, compared to Sony and its own Xbox One X, it could be that the company poured additional resources into making the jump to the 10th generation even more impactful.
Still, I expect the console to launch at the same time as the PlayStation 6, and since we are yet to receive significant information about that from Sony itself, my guess is that the new Xbox console won't be coming out before late 2027, if not 2028.

Marathon is a sensory overload when it comes to items being added and subtracted from your inventory, similar to other extraction shooters.
There is A LOT of different items to sift through, and while some are somewhat useless, many can help you out if you can figure out just what the heck they're for. Like Schemas. Found within the season one Rewards Pass, these items offer access to items for you to buy using Credits so that you will always have a Loadout ready to go (and instantly lose) when you play a round.
Here's everything there is to know about Schemas in Marathon and what they do.
What is a Schema in Marathon?
In Marathon, a Schema is a voucher that will allow you to purchase specific weapons or items from the Armory at any time, meaning you don't have to worry about it being out of stock or on a timer, or available from a specific Faction.
Schemas are found multiple times within the season one Rewards Pass, and they must be unlocked with SILK, which is the free currency that you get by playing the game, extracting successfully, and completing objectives.
When you open the Armory screen, your owned Schemas can be found on the right side of the screen (illustrated in the image below). These items are still pretty pricy, so there's no discount, but the Schema makes sure that you can purchase it whenever you want, regardless of your ranking with each individual Faction.
A Schema voucher in the Rewards Pass gives you the ability to purchase that gun, no questions asked, up to three times apiece. As of now, it's not clear if these items last forever, but it's likely that they will also disappear with the rest of your loot during seasonal wipes when player inventories are reset.

The FUT Birthday Bakery evolutions add a new dimension in FC 26 that we haven't seen before in Ultimate Team.
For the first time, we can decide what playstyles should sit on our FUT Birthday promo items. Let's find out how the system works and what the limitations are.
How to add playstyles with FC 26 FUT Birthday Bakery evolutions
The FUT Birthday Bakery evolutions are an exclusive set of upgrades only applicable to promo cards that you obtain from the packs. However, this rule only applies to special cards of active footballers; Icons and Heroes have assigned playstyles and playstyle+.
Once you obtain a FUT Birthday card, you'll notice that they don't have any playstyles. Go to the evolutions section, and you'll find the FUT Birthday Bakery options.
There are three types of FUT Birthday Bakery evolutions.
Let's look at an example to understand how it works.
Suppose you have received Kobbie Mainoo's FUT Birthday card. First, go through the PlayStyles Bakery and apply eight base options of your liking. There's no cooldown, so you can use as many as you want. Next, it's time to add PlayStyle+ Bakery options. You can add up to two of them, but you also have to ensure that there's no cooldown.
If you have a cooldown, you can either choose an available alternative option or you can spend 15,000 to add a Premium PlayStyle+ Bakery option. You can choose to add up to two of them to strengthen the card.
If you get a lower-rated FUT Birthday card, you can also use it in non-Bakery evolutions that apply playstyles. This will usually be for promo cards that are rated 88 or below.

Marathon's first day after launch is officially in the books, and it's a very mixed bag when it comes to a number of factors in Bungie's new live-service shooter.
On Steam, it's got over 5,700 reviews and maintains a Very Positive rating, which is good. Elsewhere, the player count peaked yesterday at over 88,000 concurrents and has since dropped and stabilized at around 55,000 as of time of publishing, which is not great.
People who like the dark sci-fi extraction shooter seem to be really enjoying it, but it is absolutely a niche, hardcore PvP experience, and that most likely won't resonate with most casual players like another genre staple, ARC Raiders has. But even those who love it have taken issue with a main monetization point: Marathon's Rewards Pass.
The Rewards Pass (season pass, battle pass, etc.) is mostly comprised of items like profile backgrounds, weapon stickers, weapon charms, and weapon skins, but there are also six total "Schema" rewards, which are basically vouchers to make a specific weapon appear in the Armory (shop where you buy gear).
And, yeah, when browsing the Rewards Pass, it leaves a whole hell of a lot to be desired. It costs about $10, but even still, the kinds of rewards and even the amount of them are quite lackluster. There's only one character skin in the whole thing.
"Please keep your greed limited, especially after we all paid a good amount of money for your game," one Redditor pleaded with Bungie. "This is not a F2P title, so you should offer a pass which is at least better and not worse."
The biggest bugaboo in the Rewards Pass, though, is that there is no premium currency found within. Several games that offer seasonal passes (Call of Duty, Apex Legends, Overwatch, you name it) offer premium currency within them, so that if you save up, you can buy next season's pass or other items. Marathon does not do that, and so the value is seemingly not quite there, especially considering the types of rewards it does offer. Even Destiny 2, Bungie's other current title, has a much better pass.
"The battle pass is horrible, especially after the [ARC Raiders] and [Helldivers 2] ones," another person said. "I hope people don't buy it so Bungie gets the message."
"Voting with your wallet is the only feedback they'll actually hear," a player agreed. "If the value isn't there, skipping it sends a clearer message than posts ever will."
Marathon's in-game shop also offers character skins and bundles, and they're priced at around $15 (currently marked with "Savings" as they're supposedly normally priced at $20 or more). If the game is good and players enjoy it, I'm sure they will buy things.
But the quality of this Rewards Pass sets a pretty rough precedent, and will likely need improvements if players are going to pay what amounts to a subscription fee every season. Because this first Rewards Pass was included with the Deluxe Edition of the game, and I can safely say I would not pay extra money towards another one if it looks like this.

Wikigacha has turned Wikipedia into a card-collecting game, and at its core lies the packs.
Just like any good TCG and CCG, you can open packs to increase your collection. As you might have imagined, Wikigacha has one of the largest card collections I have ever seen in a video game. Every Wikipedia page is a card for you to collect.
Let's find out how you can get more packs.
Best way to open more packs in Wikigacha
Unlike microtransaction-infested games of modern times, Wikigacha is completely available for free. Every pack you open can be earned for free, and there's no way for you to spend any money to get extra packs.
This is how the pack system works inside the game.
If you want to min-max your collection, you'll need to login to the game every eight minutes or so and open as many packs as you can. If you open all the packs, you'll have 10 minutes before your storage is full.
There are additional ways to get more packs daily. The packs you earn from the daily tasks can bypass the limitation of 10.
You'll get two extra packs for every task that you complete. If you complete all the tasks, you'll receive ten additional packs. Hence, you'll rarely run out of packs to open in Wikigacha, and the best part is that you don't have to spend a dime.
While you get to open many packs on one hand, you'll also need to get plenty of cards to complete your collection and build competitive decks.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was one of Valve's best games. Though initially rather niche, it grew into a global phenomenon that many considered to be the greatest esports title of all time, and I would know because I was one of that crowd. It unfortunately got taken out back and shot in the head by Valve in favor of its new shiny Counter-Strike 2, which forever alienated us from the joy of old Source.
But Valve decided to bring CS:GO back. No announcement, no official word. It just suddenly appeared on the Steam store again with its own dedicated page and Steam ID, allowing stats to be tracked independent of CS2 (which was a gateway to the game before, via the Steam beta branches).
Of course, I had to jump back in alongside countless others, only to find that my nostalgia had been lying to me this whole time.
To put it bluntly: CS:GO is not that different from CS2.
The jump between engines preserved most of what made CS:GO, well, CS:GO. The animations, the shooting, and the spray patterns all remained in place, and even when there were alterations, they were so slight that we could barely notice. And that only became more apparent when I returned to the old game to check out what it was that the new one was missing.
Sure, the experience is rather limited, because there is no functional internal server browser, and the one you use through Steam itself leads you to overflowing, modded servers whose experiences are far removed from core Global Offensive matchmaking, itself based around even, round-based 5v5s.
Despite that, though, I felt like the differences were all minor. The overall vibes and feel of the game were basically the same as in CS2, and though the servers could be more responsive from time to time, I didn't feel like I had suddenly dropped a huge subtick-shaped weight off my ankles like some Eastern European Brock Lee imitation.
Ever since it was released, people have been blaming CS2's internal netcode for borking their shots, ruining their perfect Kreedz movement, and losing them matches that would otherwise have been won if we had stayed on the original Source engine and Global Offensive.
That just doesn't seem to be true, at least not from what I could see in CS:GO itself.
I clocked in over 2,000 hours in Global Offensive, reached level 10 on FACEIT, and spent much of the COVID era playing that game from sunrise to sunset. I studied the craft in excruciating detail, spending sometimes up to four or five hours practicing aim and movement on 64-player deathmatch servers. TLDR: I played CS:GO to exhaustion, and yet coming back to it from CS2 doesn't make me feel like I had been missing out whatsoever.
It could be that my older self doesn't notice the minutiae anymore, but what I found through this return is that CS2 just isn't worse, or at least not that worse than CS:GO. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug, and that sense of "things were better before" is easily dispelled sometimes, as mine was through this excursion.
Of course, CS2 is still missing some of the alternate game modes that Global Offensive had, but outside of that, the core experience is more or less identical, even if some shots land in one and not in the other (which is, in fact, true in both directions).
At any rate, it's good to have more options, and though Valve was obviously scared of a new player schism akin to the CS: Source and 1.6 split, it finally caved and let people easily access the old experience, because some will always prefer the classics.

The Protect/Destroy 2 contract in Marathon is a priority task for the MIDA faction, and it's one of the more challenging ones to complete.
Split between three tasks, you have to complete them in a single run to get all the available rewards. Let's look at how to finish the contract without any problem.
Table of contents
Marathon Protect/Destroy 2 contract walkthrough
The Protect/Destroy 2 contract can be broken down into the following three parts.
How to download malware from terminal in West Gate gatehouse
For the first task, head to the western part of the Dire Marsh map. Since the West Gate is a named location, it isn't too hard to find. I have marked the exact location of the terminal that you'll need to find at the POI.
Located on the first floor, there are multiple entry points for the gatehouse area. There's a massive blue dome at this location, and the terminal is in the building to its left (refer to the image below). You'll find a ladder to its left; take it and climb up. Then, go right, and take the stairs on your left.
Avoid the lasers, and go two floors down. Once you're on the second floor, the quest marker will pop up, which makes things easier.
Reach the terminal, interact with it, and download the malware.
How to submit a dropship request south of Canal
Next, head to the marked location south of Canal. This point is slightly far from West Gate, so be careful about enemies. I avoided Quarantine and cut through the Maintenance POI. If you reach the spot, you'll find a bunch of buildings in red (or pink) and white.
If you're at the marked spot, the quest marker will appear shortly. The terminal is located on the first floor of an isolated building (shown in the image above). Interact with the terminal to submit a dropship request.
How to upload malware to the UESC dropship
Once you've requested a dropship, you'll find a yellow-colored vehicle near you. To upload the malware, you'll need to get on its roof. This is a difficult task as you'll have to use nearby ledges and containers for support.
Upload the malware upon reaching the roof, and you'll complete the Protect/Destroy 2 contract.

Who's up slaying their spire? Well, a whole heck of a lot of gamers, that's who.
Slay the Spire 2's early access launch yesterday can only be described as a tremendous success. The long-anticipated sequel to one of the earliest and most popular roguelikes on Steam had such high demand that it caused issues on the app's store yesterday.
But eventually, error codes subsides, and the numbers started pouring in. Less than a day later, it sits at Overwhelmingly Positive with almost 5,000 reviews, and a shocking all-time peak (reached within the past hour as of publishing) of over 430,000 concurrent players. That's enough to instantly make it the most-played Steam game with the "roguelike" tag, ever.
On day one, it skyrocketed past Elden Ring Nightreign's previous record of 313,593, and utterly dwarfing the high of the original Slay the Spire's peak of 57,025. And the rest of the list is also nothing to scoff at: Hades 2, Megabonk, Vampire Survivors, Risk of Rain 2, and on and on.
Slay the Spire 2 adds on to the original game's formula with new characters and cards, but also online co-op, giving every card battler fan a reason to gift their friends the game (or bug them until they buy it), marking uncharted territory for the series.
These kinds of numbers are a dream for any game dev, let alone an indie team like MegaCrit, who have taken years to work on and iterate the sequel. It's a feel-good story for sure, especially when those are in short supply these days. I'm hoping to see some sales numbers soon, but either way, that many players on an indie roguelike card battler is impressive no matter how you look at it.
Congrats to the team at MegaCrit, because if this is just the beginning, I can't wait to see how STS2 grows and improves over time with updates leading in to an eventual 1.0 full release.

Protect/Destroy 1 is the first of five priority contracts in the same path for the MIDA faction in Marathon, and it involves completing certain criminal activities.
Split into three tasks, this is one of the more straightforward quests. However, all three tasks have to be completed on the same run. Let's look at how to finish the first of the five Protect/Destroy contracts in Marathon.

How to destroy the biosample analyzer inside west Quarantine
The first task is going to take the longest amount of your time. Start a fresh round on Dire Marsh and head to the Quarantine POI. It's located in the western part of the map. I have marked the exact location of the biosample analyzer.
Enter the main building, and head inside. You'll come across an area with several pods and UESC enemies. Clear all the enemies, and look for a set of stairs to reach the second floor. The yellow-colored stairs are located at one of the corners above a set of containers.
Once you reach the stairs, the quest marker will show the location of the biosample analyzer. Once you find the analyzer, shoot at it to destroy it and get the UESC Biohazard Sample.
How to deliver the UESC Biohazard Sample to DCON
On Dire Marsh, there are three DCONs. You can check out this guide to find all the locations; there's one right next to the Quarantine building. Approach the DCON and add the sample to its inventory. Wait for a few seconds for the DCON to send back the sample, and that will complete the Protect/Destroy 1 contract.
