Driveloop Survivors turns Mad Max into a chaotic, top-down horde shooter

The mesmerizing hordes, huge lineup of characters, and flashy weapons of Vampire Survivors make it one of the greatest bullet hell games we've ever seen. Many have tried, with mixed levels of success, to emulate its addictive chaos. Driveloop Survivors is the latest, and as the name suggests, it puts a vehicular, Mad Max-esque twist on the formula. Blending an Art Deco aesthetic with apocalyptic environments and barrages of flashy weapon effects, it's now available on Steam thanks to its early access launch.

FF14 and 16 composer Soken would need

Masayoshi Soken has earned himself a reputation as one of the most iconic composers in videogames. Over more than a decade working with FF14, his name has become almost as synonymous with the series as the legendary Nobuo Uematsu, and that success led him to take on the role as lead composer for Final Fantasy 16. When I asked him whether he'd repeat the challenge of handling two games at the same time in the future, however, he was adamant that he'd "never want to do anything like that again."

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is looking damn fine, if this price leak is right

PC gamers looking for a new budget gaming GPU could soon be in for a treat, as this latest Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti price leak makes it look like this new graphics card is going to have a surprisingly reasonable price. Nvidia hasn't officially even announced the existence of this GPU right now, but if this leak is right, the new 5060 Ti will be up to $70 cheaper than its predecessor, the RTX 4060 Ti.

This latest rumor comes shortly after a previous RTX 5060 Ti leak suggested the new Nvidia GPU would be priced similarly to the 4060 Ti, but that's contradicted by this news. As with previous RTX 5060 Ti speculation, this leak again suggests there will be two versions of this new graphics card, one with 8GB of VRAM, and one with 16GB.

Will Dune Awakening have private servers?

Will Dune Awakening have private servers? If you're after a truly anti-social experience, or only want to explore Arrakis' gorgeous desertscape with your closest compadres, we don't blame you. From Minecraft to Rust, to Funcom's other survival title, Conan Exiles, private servers have become a staple of the genre. But will Dune Awakening follow suit?

Dune Awakening takes an alternate approach not only to Frank Herbert's canon but also to the way it does its networking. While maps in survival games are typically tied to a single server, the upcoming PC game utilizes server meshing, hosting multiple dynamic map regions across servers to create one, unified experience. This makes things particularly tricky when it comes to leasing out private servers, and has given cause to doubt that Dune Awakening private servers will ever be a thing.

AMD's new budget Radeon gaming GPU looks set to tackle the RTX 5060 Ti

After soundly beating the RTX 5070 with the Radeon RX 9070 XT in March 2025, AMD is now reportedly gearing up to offer a new budget gaming GPU that takes aim at the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti. A new leak shows Korean licenses being issued to two Gigabyte graphics cards based on the new AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT GPU, and they show a similar approach to VRAM as the 5060 Ti.

The budget gaming GPU market currently has a wide open space waiting for the next generation, and several rumored GPUs are apparently waiting in the wings to fill it. One of them is the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, which is rumored to be coming in both 8GB and 16GB versions, and the latest leaks suggest that AMD will be taking the same approach with the Radeon RX 9060 XT.

LoL tier list patch 25.S1.7 - best League of Legends champions

What are the best League of Legends champions right now? Metas change, the LoL tier list will fluctuate, and it could be that your favorite champion might not be in a great place right now. While you can win games and climb the ranked ladder with nearly anyone in the lower ranks, the changes that come via champion and item balancing can tip the scales enough that some picks are almost mandatory, regardless of which rank you play.

We've studied the latest patch notes and found the best champions in League of Legends right now. These picks will give you the best chance to climb the solo queue ranks in the free PC game, whether it's due to a buff, a kit adjustment, or an item change. If you want to play something other than what's on this list, keep these champions in mind for your ban, as they all have the potential to go on and dominate Summoner's Rift.

Steampunk and fantasy collide in new action-adventure sim Welcome to Brightville

There are several ways to my heart. Chocolate, esports shirts, pretty DnD dice, and dystopian, steampunk RPGs with cyberpunk flair. While the first three are relatively easy to come by, the latter, not so much. While BioShock has the steampunk, it lacks the cyberpunk, and while CD Project Red's magnum opus oozes neon, it's grounded in real-life. Welcome to Brightville, a brand new indie from Contrast Games, blends BioShock's contemporary feel with Night City's neon-bathed grime and Avowed's fantasy combat, and, as you've likely guessed, it's immediately found a spot on my wishlist.

One of the most wanted survival games on Steam, Into The Dead is finally here

They're slow, they're stupid, and - provided you have the right weapon - they're easy to kill. But what makes zombies frightening is their sheer numbers. It's the horde, the relentless, unresting, amorphous horde. One of the most wishlisted survival games on all of Steam, Into The Dead is built around this specific type of terror. You can stockpile supplies, fashion weapons, and recruit new survivors, but the writhing ocean of zombies is always biting at your heels. When is the Black Ops 6 Season 3 release date? The first season of Black Ops 6 and Warzone arrived at the end of last year, spinning up the annual content cycle in style. Following a loaded content drop with the season start, Season 1 Reloaded brought a huge new Zombies map, a winter event, and more. Suffice it to say, a tantalizing precedent was set with the game's debut season.

Season 3 was a big one: not only did we get a new Zombies map, Shattered Veil, but a host of new game modes, as well as three new guns. While it's true that the headline addition with Season 3 was Verdansk's return, there's also been a lot to love in Black Ops 6.

We've picked a selection of sweeping screens that reside rightfully in the sweet spot for every type of gamer, whether you're after a big-screen experience or a budget panel.

Best microSD card for Steam Deck 2025

What is the best microSD card for Steam Deck? Getting to a quality microSD is a quick and easy way to expand the storage of your handheld beyond its internal SSD. Getting a reasonably fast and spacious drive will provide plenty of space for future game downloads, plus it's easy to swap microSD cards to load different games.

Our current top choice is the Samsung Pro Plus as it perfectly balances performance, capacity, and price. The fastest drive, meanwhile, is the SanDisk Extreme. Such speed isn't necessary on a Steam Deck but it's nice to have and means you can copy files to it or read files from it quickly on other devices. A budget option is the Lexar Play, which isn't the fastest but does the job for a low price. For more choices as well as buying advice, see the full list below and check the how to choose and FAQ sections of this guide.

The release of Monster Hunter Wilds brought with it the usual comments about the hypocrisy of a series that wants to both protect ecosystems and grind them up for parts. "When will Monster Hunter just be honest about its desire to endlessly turn dragons into pants," we lamented to ourselves. "When will the Monster Hunters recognise - nay, embrace the fact that they are the biggest Monsters of all".

We could have saved ourselves a few thousand words and just pointed at Hunters Inc, instead. It's basically a first-person low-budget Monster Hunter game in which the Hunters are Orcs. Orcs do not do self-deception, as a rule. They do not go for sanitised violence or anthropocentric fantasies about becoming "nature's caretakers". They are straightforwardly happy to club things to bits. Looks like ludonarrative consonance is back on the menu, boys!

Some video games aim to pull originality from the ether, and some video games try to accomplish it by theatrically amassing a bunch of rad parallels and sort of crushing them together until the molecular boundaries give way, and a new Element is produced. This is the vibe I get from Welcome To Brightville, a new "emergent immersive sim" that reminds me instantly of Thief, Dishonored, Bioshock and recent soulslike Lies Of P.

The setting blends "industrial Victorian architecture, neo-baroque extravagance, and futuristic cyberpunk elements" to produce a "manapunk" world in which magic and machinery jostle together like cats in a bag. It's a heady stew of references, and perhaps not that novel for a dark fantasy RPG - people have been slopping the cyber over other literary genres for a while now, and don't get me started on the abundance of -punk derivatives. Still, it rattles and whirrs along convincingly enough in the below announcement trailer.

Even More Hatsune MIku Cinnamoroll Plush Appear

The Hatsune Miku Cinnamoroll collaboration that basically started with a Nendoroid is now getting its sixth and seventh plush toy volumes consisting of an additional eight stuffed animals. The first four appear in Japanese arcades on April 24, 2025. The second four debut on May 23, 2025.

In each case of these stuffed animal collections, there tends to be a theme for the Hatsune Miku and Cinnamoroll, and these plush lines are no exception. In the first one, we're seeing both characters in matching poses involving their ears and hair. The first two feature the two of them making a heart pose. In Miku's case, her pigtails come together to form the shape. For Cinnamoroll, it involves his ears. In the second one, the two are covering their faces a bit.

The second set involves the characters in more cozy and relaxed moments. The first pair involves the duo sleeping. Miku is wearing her pajamas and yawning. Cinnamoroll is holding a teddy bear, wearing a nightcap, and sleeping. The other pair in this collection involves the two about to eat. Each one looks like it is holding a pastry with a pink icing swirl on top.

Here's how all eight of the new plush look:

This is a now ongoing series of stuffed toys and merchandise pairing up Hatsune Miku and Cinnamoroll. The first three showed up in March 2024. The second and third collections launched in August 2024. The fourth and fifth volumes put the two characters in new outfits. Now these latest ones involve different types of expressions and poses.

These follow an array of general Sanrio and Crypton Future Media Vocaloid character plushes. In March 2025, three volumes appeared. The featured Vocaloids are Hatsune Miku, Megurine Luka, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Meiko, and Kaito. Meanwhile, the Sanrio mascots for that crossover are Cinnamoroll, My Melody, Pompompurin, Badtz Maru, Pochacco, and Tuxedo Sam. In that line, the Sanrio characters dressed a bit like the Vocaloids and vice versa.

The latest Hatsune Miku Cinnamoroll plush toys will appear in Japanese arcades starting on April 24, 2025, and a second collection launches on May 23, 2025.

Cover and Hololive Pull Vtuber Stream of Nintendo Game

Cover Corporation, owner of the Hololive and Holostars Vtuber agency, took down an Usada Pekora stream video containing gameplay from a Nintendo video game due to the suspected infringement of Nintendo's livestreaming guidelines. This comes from her recent broadcast during which she shared footage of herself playing old Pokemon cartridges she purchased online.

The specific video taken down is the second one of Usada Pekora's "used Pokemon Emerald cartridge gacha" livestreams, during which the Vtuber managed to find an extremely rare shiny Mew. This can only be achieved in Pokemon Emerald by going through several pre-owned cartridges and using the Japan and Taiwan exclusive Old Sea Map limited-time event item. The livestream took place on March 29, 2025.

Usada Pekora is suspected of having inadvertently used a pre-owned hacked cartridge during the livestream. It isn't clear if the Hololive Vtuber used a hacked cartridge of the Nintendo game without her knowledge. While it is possible for a shiny Mew to be found under such circumstances, its spawn rate is extremely low.

In a statement made by Cover, the company apologized to fans for any inconveniences caused and explained that, after consulting with Nintendo, the video has been taken down. Cover will also take measures to better inform and offer guidance to its staff, and will avoid any situations that may lead to a risk in violating the livestreaming guidelines of associated companies.

New No Sleep For Kaname Date - From AI: The Somnium Files Trailer Appears

Spike Chunsoft shared a new No Sleep For Kaname Date - From AI: The Somnium Files trailer in Japan, and it seems to show some opening footage with main characters Kaname Date, Iris "A-Set" Sagan, and Aiba. It offers a longer look at some scenes from the game, as well as seems to set up the new investigation and adventure. While it's the third game in the series, chronologically it takes place after the first and before parts of the second

In No Sleep For Kaname Date - From AI: The Somnium Files, we're dealing with multiple, potentially connected, scenarios. Iris, a young woman who appeared in multiple installments and rose to fame as a streamer and influencer, is kidnapped. In the first half of the new video, we see her captive in a room and crying out for help. In the second, we see Date on the road and discussing what's next with Aiba.

Here's the full video. It's only available in Japanese at the moment, and there are no English captions available.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ul8C3kG5C5Y&ab_channel=%E3%82%B9%E3%83%91%E3%82%A4%E3%82%AF%E3%83%BB%E3%83%81%E3%83%A5%E3%83%B3%E3%82%BD%E3%83%95%E3%83%88

1.7 Zenless Zone Zero Special Program Airs on Same Day as Xbox One

HoYoVerse announced that the 1.7 Zenless Zone Zero Special Program will be a distinct and separate presentation from the Xbox Spotlight showcase. Both will appear on April 11, 2025. However, the Special Program will air at 3:30am PT/6:30am ET, while the Xbox Spotlight is at 10am PT/1pm ET. Both streams will appear on Twitch and YouTube.

As usual, this will be a presentation going over the more immediate update. It also seems like the last one we'll get before the Season 2 2.0 launch. New story and event quests will come up. A Polychrome code will be shared. We'll also learn about new and returning characters in the update.

Both of the new 1.7 characters already ended up being revealed. These are Vivian and Hugo. Both are part of the new Mockingbird faction revealed in 1.6. Vivian is especially notable, as she's one of the rare Ether-type characters. HoYoVerse didn't confirm their ranks, but it is likely that they are both S-rank units, with one appearing on the banner in the first half and the other on the second.

This means that the Zenless Zone Zero Xbox Spotlight will likely focus entirely on the Xbox Series X version of the game. HoYoVerse did note "new updates" will be covered as well. This could mean some additional details summarized from the earlier showcase for those tuning in to the platform-specific broadcast. There's no estimate going over length and there aren't as many details about content, so we'll have to wait and see.

Zenless Zone Zero is available for the PS5, PC, and mobile devices, an Xbox Series X version is on the way, and the Special Program for 1.7 airs at 3:30am PT/6:30am ET on April 11, 2025. Since the Trigger banner ends on April 22, 2025, we'll likely see the 1.7 update launch on April 23, 2025.

Bkub Okawa Design Persona 3 Main Character Figure

The Pop Team Epic artist Bkub Okawa ended up being tapped to design a new Persona 3 Reload figure of main character Makoto Yuki for empty.tokyo. It is a part of the Bkub bkuvi line. So far, the only store with pre-orders shipping worldwide is AmiAmi, which is selling it for ¥4,180 (~$29). It is expected to ship in August 2025.

This is a small, static figure based on the character's appearance in the remake. It stands, or rather sits, at just under four inches tall (95mm). The character is wearing the Gekkoukan High School uniform. (There's no SEES armband on his arm, however!) The face features Bkub Okawa's distinctive style, as well as the hair covering the his right eye.

Here's how the Bkub bkuvi figure of Persona 3 Reload main character Makoto Yuki looks.

It's been a while, but Bkub Okawa actually drew the Persona 3 main character for merchandise before. Back in 2024, following the Persona 3 Reload launch, Atlus announced a whole Makoto Yuki collection in the distinctive style. This included an acrylic stand, pins, keychains, and stickers. That only just started shipping in March 2025.

In June 2025, those will be joined by personal marker charms of the character. Eight of those will appear, and they cost ¥400 (~$3) each. Here's how those look:

Also, in general it is incredibly common for Bkub Okawa to be tapped to draw designs for characters from other series like Persona 3. For example, one of the most recent collections based on the artist's creations is a line of empty.tokyo Danganronpa merchandise. That launches in June 2025.

The Bkub bkuvi Persona 3 Reload figure of main character Makoto Yuki will launch in August 2025. That version of the game is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC worldwide.

Xbox Games Showcase 2025 Outer Worlds 2

Microsoft announced the date for the comapny's 2025 Xbox Games Showcase, along with a special presentation on The Outer Worlds 2, the sequel to the 2019 game. The Showcase will be streamed on June 8, 2025. This will fall during Summer Game Fest 2025. It is also about when the company used to share its E3 presentations, back when the event existed.

It's unknown what Microsoft has planned for the Xbox Games Showcase 2025. Like previous years, it will show off what's in development across the various Xbox studios, including those at Bethesda and Activision. Microsoft have also confirmed that third-party games will have a presence in the line-up. The focus will likely be on Xbox Series X titles, though we have seen Xbox One games appear in the past during these types of presentations too.

The only game confirmed is The Outer Worlds 2, which will be the focus of an additional second presentation after the main showcase. This is nothing new for Xbox, as the 2024 Xbox Games Showcase featured a dedicated showcase for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and 2023 featured a special Starfield presentation going over the Bethesda game. With this presentation, it's clear that Microsoft expects The Outer Worlds 2 to be the company's big holiday release for this year. If this is the case, it will be the second Obsidian project to release in 2025, alongside Avowed.

The Xbox Games Showcase 2025 will be streamed through the official Xbox channels on YouTube, Twitch and Facebook. It will start at 10am PDT/1pm EDT/6pm BST/7pm CEST on June 8, 2025. EDT/6pm BST/7pm CEST. The Outer Worlds 2 Direct showcase will follow immediately afterwards. The presentation will be available in 40 languages, along with British and American Sign Language and English audio descriptions. The Outer Worlds 2 Direct showcase will follow immediately afterwards.

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road Finally Getting a Release Date

Level-5 announced a new Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road presentation that suggests we'll finally get a release date and final details about the soccer game. That will air during the Inazuma Eleven V Heroes Showcase 2025 at 5am PT/8am ET/2pm CET on April 11, 2025. It will appear on YouTube. That's also about when the Beta Test Demo for this Inazuma Eleven game will disappear.

There will actually be two different versions of the stream. However, the content will be identical in each one. Level-5 is just sharing it in every game in which the game will be released. So there's one for people who want the details in Japanese, and the other features subtitles in English or Traditional Chinese.

A few details did come up about it. The stream will last for around 30 minutes. It will cover the release date. It will also discuss some last details about the title.

Here's the placeholder video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCVDqLjQrjs&ab_channel=LEVEL5ch%E3%80%90%E5%85%AC%E5%BC%8F%E3%80%91

This comes after multiple delays. Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road first basically started as Inazuma Eleven: Balance of Ares, which eventually only ended up being an anime. Instead, Level-5 restarted development, which led to this entry. At first that was going to be Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes, before it became the title we should hopefully see in the near future.

As for that Beta Test Demo, it is about to be gone. Level-5 already removed it from the Switch eShop. However, it will be taken off the PlayStation Store and Steam on April 11, 2025.

As for Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road, its release date continually got pushed back. At first, it had a 2023 release window. That slipped to 2024, which is when a Beta Test Demo ended up appearing. Its current release window is June 2025.

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road will debut on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, PC via Steam, and mobile devices, and we'll learn the release date during the Inazuma Eleven V Heroes Showcase 2025 at 5am PT/8am ET/2pm CET on April 11, 2025.

Interview: HOLOSTARS Vtuber Machina X Flayon on Street Fighter 6 and Streaming

It's been a busy year already for HOLOSTARS English Vtuber Machina X Flayon, member of the Tempus unit. After participating in the Street Fighter 6 Sajam Slam and Holo Fes 2025, and following his second anniversary with Cover, Siliconera caught up with him again to talk about the event, streaming, performing, and singing.

Jenni Lada: Congrats on making it into the Street Fighter 6 International Championship! What led to you taking part, and how did you prepare for it?

Machina x Flayon: Yo! Machina X Flayon here, Ace Mecha Pilot of the R-TRUS for HOLOSTARS English. Thanks for having me! I actually got to take part in the championship because of the latest Sajam Slam held by Sajam himself! I've known about the Slam for a while and actually was trying to join the previous one (the second to last slam) but couldn't make it in time. So this time I was able to get in and it was a huge blast!

I would say that most of the preparation came from taking part in the Slam itself since I was a part of Team Nephew. I've always had trouble using Drive Rush in Street Fighter 6 before, but through coaching with Nephew I was able to understand the mechanic more and it made getting better at Street Fighter 6 a whooole lot easier. That and I would say being able to hold viewer-matches with my fans + anyone who stops by for my fighting game streams. I like leaving the streams open so anyone of all skill can come in, and when it's public like that you'll get lots of strong competitors to help toughen you up!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEMaiG1_hmw&ab_channel=MachinaXFlayonCh.HOLOSTARS-EN

So you ended up going with Luke. What led you to picking him as your main?

Machina x Flayon: When I originally played Street Fighter back on the arcades, I think I mained Ken, but something didn't click until I played Street Fighter 5 on stream around my first year! There was an abundance of characters by that point so I didn't know exactly who to play and I just kept going through the list till I came across Luke. People would always have a reaction when he showed up on stream, so I got curious and playing the guy just felt great! He's a Shoto-type character so he has tools for almost every situation, but none really too powerful. But, I think what really cemented it was going through his Arcade story in Street Fighter 5 and 6

Luke as a character was just essentially your average boy growing up with dreams, but never couldn't really connect with his father until after his dad showed his true heroic colors trying to stop a terrorist attack. So when that happens, Luke's childhood was kind of changed forever and it set him on the path where his character is today. I think that type of character doesn't have a backstory that is too complex, but has enough substance that it just hits home!

What are your thoughts on your match with Frodan?

Machina x Flayon: My match with Frodan was a bit scary because the nerves come for you out of nowhere and I was against Frodan too! During the Slam, I could take some rounds off him, but he definitely did the same back and he adapts during the fight or pretty much every fight. It was definitely fun though since when you fight Frodan, you won't be able to pull off the same thing twice in a row, he will adapt to it and instantly prepare counters for it for next time! I'd love to fight him again too because he messaged me after and could tell I was a bit nervous. That guy is honestly so much fun to fight but also such a sweet guy too! I WANNA RUN IT BACCKKK.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SS52SgFcRc&ab_channel=MachinaXFlayonCh.HOLOSTARS-EN

You also took part in Holo Expo 2025! How did the event go? What's it like being part of the convention, and how did this year's experience differ considering you're now established within Cover?

Machina x Flayon: It's always fun to be on the big screen especially at the Holo Expo since you know our fans will be there! When you're doing a streaming job everyday, it's quite easy to get used to how everything goes and feel all that support you're getting. But at the same time, you're only seeing it verbally most of the time, so when you get to go to any convention, you'll feel the love more there because you can associate a face + voice with all that love too so it hits much harder.

This year's experience went great and the more you do it ,the more confident you will be and it's honestly fun to see where you can improve.

HoloExpo is held in Japan though, so I'd love to take some time off and improve my Japanese skills so I can speak in complete Japanese for the con itself! I know a lot of my Japanese fans are there and not everyone understands English and mine personally can be really hard to keep track of! So I want to adapt for them.

In addition to Street Fighter 6, you've streamed a lot of other fighting games like Tekken 8, Melty Blood, and Idol Showdown. What do you look for when you're picking up a fighting game?

Machina x Flayon: Haha, to be honest? For some reason ever since Blazblue, I'm always looking for a Story Mode. Blazblue is a particular fighter where not only is it an awesome fighting game, but the story mode itself is usually in Visual Novel format with more detail than you'd think.

Because I'm already having a lot of fun with the gameplay and the general grind when it comes to learning fighting game characters, I'd love to associate a story or character with that same emotion!

For gameplay mechanics though, I love air grabs, general mobility, mix up options and just a lot of defensive utility!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UcAJt7K4YM&t=10s&ab_channel=MachinaXFlayonCh.HOLOSTARS-EN

You've really been representing when it comes to visual novels and Type-Moon games. Will we get to see a Fate/stay Night or Witch on the Holy Night run from you? Or, I mean, if permissions don't allow, want to just let us all know your thoughts on one or both of them?

Machina x Flayon: I'd love to do those and thank you so much! It's been a bit since I've played one on stream, but it's mainly because I've been busy dealing with lots of stuff in the background. Plus, when I play a VN and even stream one I end up going for 3+ hours and honestly an average of 6 hours per stream or even longer. That's with also voice acting almost every character or dialogue/narration I come across which can be really hefty! There is also, of course, the fact that not everyone is into visual novels so streaming wise you'll always have that in the back of your mind. BUT even with that it's an absolute joy to stream visual novels because I'm completely in my element! I don't need to act a certain way or say something, I can just go with confidence and talk about what I love and it will translate for me.

But Fate/stay Night and Witch on the Holy Night? Definitely! I'll just finish Arcueid's route in Tsukihime first! ^ A ^ Then I'll do those one after another and it's not fully visual novel but I'd also love to touch Fate/Extra! My heart will always go to Tsukihime first and foremost though; that's my beloved.

I saw you picked up the Code Geass HD Gawain model kit! What made you decide to go with a build from that series?

Machina x Flayon: Code Geass in general is just an extremely enjoyable series to watch and it has lots of appeal and honestly quite easy to pick up. It has some anime brand appeal so it can grab the attention of people more than your average mecha.

I went with that for the same reason I do with visual novels! I know the series extremely well and have watched it at the very least of 15 times so I know the characters and can yap about them at the slightest mention. I also use these yapping sessions to try to get people to watch Code Geass too and then I can talk about it with people and share my love/passion for the things I enjoy with everyone!

If I am able to do more model kit builds in the future also, I would want to watch the entirety of the series of it first! So if I were to build a modelkit from Gundam SEED, I would go rewatch/refresh my memory/watch the whole thing just so I can talk about it with people that know the series!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iq0nvQtmsNE&ab_channel=MachinaXFlayonCh.HOLOSTARS-EN

You've got a fair number of covers under your belt and also sang on songs like "Dead World" and "Flex." Do you have plans for any more covers or original songs coming up?

Machina x Flayon: I do have more plans and actually I've been dealing with a lot of that in the background! An original song is on my to-do list, but for the very first one I think it has to be very specific and I would like to have a certain appeal or message. Theme even! After I iron that out though I'd love to do more originals more often!

I have some songs I want to cover too that I'm getting done and already have a lot recorded! Now it's just waiting time for everything else to come altogether. After I've covered like 4-5 more though I'd love to just focus on originals or short form covers for YouTube Shorts.

Now that you've been with Cover for two years, what kinds of goals do you have for 2025?

Machina x Flayon: My goal just centers around doing what I want to do or rather focusing on my dreams and ambitions for my stay here! But also taking a good look at that and seeing which of that is feasible with my current array of skills and what I'd need to do to match that.

So it's a lot of projects being moved around and honestly even streaming less here and there just so I can take the pressure off and really just focus on improving where I want to!
Streaming is super fun but also it is always socializing and it's hard for me to focus on that while also focusing on myself!

So goal wise? Just take a step back and plan more for things that I want! I can plan usually pretty well, but some events might need months worth of planning and I can't put unneeded pressure on myself.

Machina X Flayon is part of HOLOSTARS English Tempus and streams on YouTube, and you can follow him on social media.

Vehicle Legends egg hunt

Normally, Vehicle Legends is about making money and buying high-class cars, planes, and boats to travel around a luxurious city. However, you'll occasionally find surprises, with the latest event having 50 colored Eggs scattered around town. Although many of these eggs are in easy spots, some are tricky.

Before starting, I recommend buying a plane. While you can find every egg by driving, having an airplane makes it easier to travel across the map in case you need to backtrack. That said, here's a complete list of all 50 egg locations in Vehicle Legends.

All 50 Egg locations in Vehicle Legends Roblox

There are 50 colored eggs to find in Vehicle Legends. You can check your progress by clicking or tapping the egg basket icon on your game's sidebar. Doing this brings up a rewards list, your total collected eggs, and an option to complete the event instantly for 600 Robux.

Screenshot by Destructoid

For those who don't want to spend Robux, here's a complete list of every egg location in Vehicle Legends in the order they appear in the Egg Hunt event menu.

  1. Orange Polka Dot egg - This first egg is near Miami Beach. If you're starting from the Biscayne Bay Auto Dealership, turn toward the Vehicle Legends race track and egg hunt bunny arch before turning left down the road. Turn right down the bridge, picking up other eggs you spot, before turning left at the Miami Beach sign. Turning left and following the curved road will bring you to this egg in front of a small yellow building.
  2. Pink Polka Dot egg - Drive down the bridge you found while collecting the previous egg. After passing the barrier gates and several houses, you'll spot this egg to your right just before reaching the next bridge.
  3. Blue Polka Dot egg - Starting from the previous spot, turn around until you're facing the direction you came from. Drive this way before turning right over a small bridge. You'll find this blue egg after turning right and driving to the end of the road toward the water.
  4. Green Polka Dot egg - Now that we're done in this neighborhood, head back over the bridge to access Miami Beach. Once you spot the beach's sign, turn left down the curved road before taking another left. You'll spot the green polka dot egg in the center of a park.
  5. Blue and green egg - It's time to head to the Port. You'll find the Port by driving in the direction of the Penthouse Garage until you find a place with dozens of rainbow blocks. Right after entering the Port and passing through the barrier gate, turn right to spot the egg between a blue and red block. If you think you've passed it, backtrack until you're just before the cargo ship.

  1. White and blue flower egg - Teleport to the Aircraft Dealership. Turn toward the beach before panning the camera to the left. You'll find a mountain tunnel, with its right-side path leading to the next egg.
  2. Red and orange flower egg - Head back to the Aircraft Dealership. This time, turn toward the Aircraft Customization building before turning right onto the road. You'll find this egg at a blue gas station in this direction.
  3. Purple big flower egg - It's time to travel to the edges of the map. Using the Motorbike Dealership as a reference point, turn toward the mountains and travel in this direction until you reach an overpass and a river. Run under the bridge to find this egg on the grass near the waterfall.

  1. Orange zigzag egg - Teleport or drive to the Motorbike Dealership. Pan your camera left so both the purple striped egg and the blue zigzag egg are in view. Collect them and drive in this direction until you reach the road's end before turning left. You'll find this egg on the road next to the blue and white building.
  2. Blue zigzag egg - Teleport or drive back to the Motorbike Dealership again. If you didn't collect this egg while finding the Orange zigzag patterned egg, now's your chance to grab it.
  3. Green zigzag egg - To the left of Biscayne Bay Autos. Turn right down the road toward the white and orange parking garage.
  4. Pink zigzag egg - Head back to the river bridge you encountered while finding the eighth egg. This time, use any means necessary to get on top of the bridge before traveling in the opposite direction of the red mountains. You'll find this egg along the road.
  5. Yellow and red flower egg - If you're at Biscayne Bay Autos, drive right toward the Egg Hunt bunny arch before turning left down the road. Go over the bridge, pass the first blue and white building, and turn left to find this egg next to another blue and white building.
  6. Blue and red flower egg - This is the first of two eggs you'll find in the Offroad Race. Teleport or drive here to spot this egg on top of two metal pipes and a ramp.
  7. Green and red flower egg - Before we continue with the Offroad race, we've got a green and red egg at the barn near the course. Turning toward the massive wheat field, you'll spot this egg next to the barn's water tower.
  8. Blue and brown egg - This next one is right in the heart of Vehicle Legends' racing areas. Teleport to the Vehicle Legends portal zone to find this egg near the Tropical and Drag race portals.
  9. Pink and white flower egg - We're not done at the map's edge yet. Return to the bridge area from eggs eight and 12 before continuing along the road. As you drive in this direction, pan your camera to the left to find a road leading up the mountainside, with the egg sitting atop a ramp. You can run over here on foot to bypass the mountain's elevation or use the ramp further down the road to reach this spot.
  10. Green and white flower egg - Starting from the previous egg's location, continue up the mountain's road until you spot this one in the road's center.

  4. Green smoke egg - You'll spot this egg on top of the Overpass spanning across the map. You can access its ramps near the Motorbike shop, where you'll have to travel in the direction of the Penthouse and Port. You'll spot this egg along this road.
  5. Rainbow striped egg - Drive down the bridge you found while collecting the first orange polka dot egg. You'll find this egg along the bridge.
  6. Blue and purple striped egg - Starting from the Offroad race course, travel toward the large road and water until you spot the egg in the middle of the grass. You can also fly here with a plane if you own one.

  4. Yellow and purple striped egg - Starting from the spot where you found egg 26, pan your camera until you see a massive bridge leading into the distance. Drive on its left road to find this next egg along its path.
  5. Yellow and blue striped egg - Using the Overpass you used to collect egg 23, continue down this road until you reach the Port. You can also access this spot by plane if you have one. This one appears as a duplicate of the previous entry in your Egg Hunt, but its actual appearance on the map is a yellow and blue egg.
  6. Yellow flower egg - Starting from the spot where you found egg 13, drive toward the red and purple triangle building before turning left down the road. Turn right at the four-way stop to spot the egg next to the triangle building and a blue and white apartment building.

  9. Blue-green and pink small flower egg - Teleport or drive to the Penthouse garage. Turn around until you see a rainbow building and a bull statue. Drive down this road until you pass the rainbow building to find the egg next to a blue structure.
  10. Yellow and red small flower egg - Teleport or drive to the Penthouse garage. You'll find this egg to the left of your spawn spot.
  11. Green and blue small flower egg - Drive over the bridge you traveled to while finding egg 32. Continue down this road until you spot this egg to your left next to a blue and white building.
  12. Blue and pink small flower egg - Starting from the spot where you found egg 13, drive left past the fenced-in parking lot and building until you reach a four-way intersection. Turn right to spot this egg in the middle of the road.
  13. White and blue zigzag egg - Drive over the bridge you traveled to while locating egg 32. As you get closer to this area, pan your camera right to find a curved road with the egg in its center. Drive over here or hop down from the bridge's ledge to collect it.

  4. Purple and white flower egg - Teleport back to the Aircraft Dealership. 2. Pink and white flower egg - Drive down the bridge you found while collecting the orange polka dot and rainbow eggs from earlier. You'll find this egg along the bridge in front of some barrier gates.
  3. Red and yellow flower egg - Remember the Overpass from earlier? Rather than heading toward the Port, go the opposite direction away from the city and past the Aircraft Dealership's beach. You'll find this egg along this road.
  4. Blue and yellow flower egg - There are multiple ways to reach this egg's location. You can use Egg 18's path and continue down the road or use the Aircraft Dealership's mountainside roads. Alternatively, if you have a plane, you can teleport to a spot like the Vehicle Legends race portals, turn toward the mountains, and fly directly toward them until you spot this egg in a parking lot.
  5. Red-pink and white flower egg - Our last stop is the Aircraft Dealership again. Head toward the beach again to find this final egg beside one of its huts.

Cloak and Dagger in Marvel Rivals

Like any good hero shooter, Marvel Rivals has an expansive Competitive ladder system for players to rank up and show off their skills.

Marvel Rivals' Competitive play is very similar to the Quickplay experience, but with some tougher opponents, unique rules, and exclusive rewards to earn as you claim higher ranks and bragging rights amongst your friend group.

Here's everything you need to know about Marvel Rivals' Competitive rank system and how to climb.

Marvel Rivals Competitive rank system explained

Players need to reach level 15 before gaining access to the Competitive playlist, where every player begins at Bronze III and must rank up through the skill tiers. You gain rank points by winning and performing well, and you lose rank points by losing matches or performing poorly.

Nine rank tiers

Marvel Rivals ranks
Screenshot by Destructoid

There are nine different tiers of ranks in Marvel Rivals, with several divisions in most ranks. Players begin at Bronze III and then move up through Bronze II to Bronze I, and then promote to Silver III to Silver II, and so on. Players must gain 100 rank points in each division before moving on to the next one.

Here's every rank and division in Marvel Rivals:

  • Bronze I, II, and III
  • Silver I, II, and III
  • Gold I, II, and III
  • Platinum I, II, and III
  • Diamond I, II, and III
  • Grandmaster I, II, and III
  • Celestial I, II, and III
  • Eternity
  • One Above All

Eternity and One Above All (top 500 players globally) do not have any divisions but are meant to represent the best players in the world in each season.

Exclusive rewards

Screenshot by Destructoid

Each season features exclusive rewards that can be unlocked, like each season's themed skin for reaching Gold rank or higher, such as this Golden Moonlight skin for Moon Knight in season zero.

Crest of Honor cosmetics, which can be equipped on a player's nameplate for those who achieve Grandmaster, Celestial, Eternity, and One Above All.

Seasonal rank reset

At the end of each rank split (usually at the beginning and middle of each season), players will be demoted by nine divisions. For example, if a player ends one split at Diamond I, they will begin the next split at Silver I.

Picks and bans

Starting at Gold III, each team in a ranked match will be able to pick one hero to protect and one hero to ban. Those banned heroes then will not be selectable for the entire game until the next match begins and a new pick/ban period takes place, while protected ones can't be banned.

Chrono Shield

A Chrono Shield is a rechargeable resource that will negate any rank point loss when it's fully charged. Charge up your Chrono Shield by playing Marvel Rivals Competitive matches.

Rules, maps, and modes

Marvel Rivals Competitive rules restrict players grouping up with anyone to no more than three divisions, starting from Gold to Celestial I, while players in Eternity of One Above All can team with Celestial II players within 200 points.

Convergence and Convoy maps will be played in more than one round so each team has a chance to play the map on both offense and defense, while Domination maps remain a best-of-three.

How to rank up in Marvel Rivals

Ultron holding out his hand with an army behind him in marvel rivals
Screenshot by Destructoid

Ranking up in Marvel Rivals is simple: win matches. The more you win and the better you perform (kills, assists, healing), the more rank points you will earn. Each individual division in each rank tier (like Diamond I, for example) requires 100 points to rank up to the next division.

The more you win and the better you perform individually, the more rank points you will earn and the faster you will rank up. If you lose matches or perform poorly, you will lose rank points and potentially be demoted.

Your Chrono Shield will occasionally save you from losing points, but don't plan on it. Always try your best to win every match by communicating and playing as a team, and the rank-ups will come.

As the hype for Bungie's new extraction shooter Marathon comes to a head before its official gameplay reveal stream this weekend, one popular streamer has revealed what little he can about what he knows.

DrLupo, who rose to fame by livestreaming games like Destiny and Fortnite but also has a big penchant for extraction shooters like Marathon and Escape From Tarkov, recently revealed during a broadcast that he has playtested the game "over the course of the last five or six years" and he "knew about it in 2017 or 2018." He also claimed that he was "the first non-Bungie employee to see the game."

"Marathon is a game, and I can't give you details," DrLupo said. "But what I can say is it's good, dude. I can say that. I can fuckin' say that for sure. I can't talk about a lot of pieces of it. I can't talk about, really, any of it yet."

Careful not to break anything in his non-disclosure agreement, Lupo paused and chose his words carefully in a clip from his stream that's been circulating since April 8. In it, he revealed he has been "involved" with Marathon for a long time.

"I got involved with this project when it was four people," he said. "Every iteration I've seen of it has been better than the last iteration. Every time it's gotten better. It has been better every time I've seen it and I think, I wanna level-set too, I think that it can be better than what it is right now, even ignoring the uncompleted versions."

He said he's been playing a pre-alpha playtest, but reiterated that the game has been improved over time each time he's seen it, and said he's excited for any future playtests and to show his audience things that he's been playing and involved with.

This past weekend, Marathon community members solved an intricate, complicated alternate reality game (ARG) set up by Bungie to unlock a "save the date" trailer for Marathon, revealing that there will be a reveal live stream this Saturday at 1pm ET for Bungie to fully show off the game, and potentially announce a playtest for the masses.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZUv1-qR1Aw

While the extraction shooter genre has been flooded with many attempts to recreate the success of Escape From Tarkov and a few other titles, a brand new game from the makers of Halo and Destiny is always worth keeping an eye on, so I and many others will be tuned in to the reveal this weekend.

Best players for Gladiator evolution in EA FC 25

The Gladiator Evolution is live in EA FC 25, and it's a mini upgrade to boost one of your selected cards.

This evolution is available for free, and it has extremely relaxed requirements. While the offered boosts aren't massive, players can use the boost for any item they want. Let's first take a look at the requirements, followed by the cards to use.

  • PlayStyle Low Driven Shot (^9)
  • Overall +1 (^90)

There are over 10,000 different choices, and here are some of the best cards to consider.

  • Selma Bacha TOTW

  • Denzel Dumfries NumeroFUT
  • Adrien Rabiot TOTW
  • Miguel Gutierrez TOTW
  • Martin Zubimendi Birthday
  • Edmond Tapsoba Birthday

Which players should you use in the Gladiator Evolution?

The Gladiator Evolution doesn't offer too many boosts, but it improves shooting and defending and also adds two new playstyles. Ideally, the best card to include in it is an evolution chain, which you have been improving over time. The boosts are decent but not so significant that the card can't be used in other evolutions in the future.

Alternatively, you can select a lower-rated item, use it in this evolution, and then make it a part of your Become Immortal chain. That way, you can get some decent playstyles and stats to your card before it improves further as part of the Become Immortal evolution.

This "Titanfall 3 is actually happening" rumor continues to gain steam, but this time, with some more exciting details behind the info coming in from the latest leaks.

Apex Legends leaker Osvaldatore, who started up the rumor mill bigtime last week, dropped another bombshell in the early hours of April 9 with further details about the long-anticipated sequel to Titanfall 2, which they say is "almost complete."

Titanfall 2 is an amazing FPS for its campaign alone
Image via EA

Titanfall 3 is being developed on Unreal Engine 5, according to Osvaldatore, and will feature a singleplayer campaign and live-service multiplayer with battle passes, which has become the industry standard. It will also feature "some returning Apex characters" and a weather system.

But the leaker also teased how there will be a huge new mode that has become prevalent since Titanfall 2 dropped. Osvaldatore says the main mode of Titanfall 3 is called Extraction, and they posted an altered Escape From Tarkov image that says "Escape From The Frontier: Titanfall 3," teasing how the mode will be similar to the popular loot, shoot, and escape mode.

Don't fret, though, because they also said "all Titanfall 2 classic modes" will also be making a comeback, including Team Deathmatch, Control, and Arenas. Still, I'm interested in seeing how an Extraction mode would utilize Titans, because that would be one of the more thrilling ways to jump on a dropship and get out of harm's way with loot.

How would Titanfall's abilities, jetpacks, wall-running, and other mechanics work in an extraction mode? This all sounds very interesting, especially with a loot pool of returning weapons from the series that have been made even more famous in Apex since.

Obviously, all of this must be taken loosely until there's official confirmation from EA and Respawn Entertainment. But with the summer season rapidly approaching, we're in for a number of big announcements for games launching in 2025 and beyond. Titanfall 3 could well be one of those games.

Update on April 9 at 12:30pm ET: Well, it was fun while it lasted. GiantBomb's Jeff Grubb said on a new episode of Game Breaking News podcast that the rumors are "not real," while speculating that Respawn may be experimenting with different things that have Titans in them, but TF3 being "almost complete" isn't true.

Wearing the Amstrigian head piece

The Monster Hunter series is known for its stylish sets, and the Amstrigian armor adds even more flair with an adorable new headpiece. If you're ready to expand your collection, here's how to get this gear in Monster Hunter Wilds.

How to unlock Amstrigian head armor in MH Wilds

You can get the Amstrigian head armor set by completing the "When Do Quematrice Sing?" Event Quest. This mission will be available until April 22 at 4:59 pm PT/April 23 at 00:59 BST. Those who unlock the recipe will need to acquire the following resources:

  • x3 Amstrigian Ticket
  • x3 Quematrice Crest+
  • x5 Monster Keenbone

Speak to Alma about beginning this task under the Quest Counter. While the quest only requires you to be at Hunter Rank 9, I still recommend shooting for High Rank to collect high-rarity materials.

When Do the Quematrice Sing? Event Quest start
Screenshot by Destructoid

You can get most of the Amstrigian ingredients from the "When Do Quematrice Sing?" quest. However, to gather enough Amstrigian Tickets, you'll likely have to complete this mission three times.

How to complete When Do Quematrice Sing? quest in MH Wilds

Before you set out on the quest, you should prepare first. It's best to utilize weapons with the Water elemental buffs attached, as the Quematrice is weak to this attack. You can also use Status Effects like Poison and Paralysis to help bring this beast down quickly. For health items, ensure you have some healing potions and Nulberries in your inventory.

When it's time to face off the Quematrice, aim for its neck, tail, or head for maximum damage. The neck, in particular, is the most vulnerable, so try to hit it as much as you can. But if you can't reach its neck, go for its tail, which can be severed with enough attacks.

Fighting the Quematrice
Screenshot by Destructoid

Quematrice's tail swings are the most troublesome due to their highly damaging attacks. You'll have to dodge it rather quickly, or else you'll be engulfed in flames. Consume Nulberries whenever this happens to get rid of this debuff. After you've taken down the beast, you'll receive a few valuable Quematrice pieces for upgrades and other recipes. This includes the Amstrigian Ticket, featuring the newest armor set in MH Wilds.

All Amstrigian head armor stats and buffs

Go to a nearby Smithy with the Amstrigian Ticket, and the new armor headpiece will appear. This set presents the following stats:

  • Defense: 36
  • Fire Res: -2
  • Water Res: 2
  • Thunder Res: 1
  • Ice Res: -2
  • Dragon Res: 3
  • Wide-Range Equipment Skill: Allows the effects of certain items to affect nearby allies
  • Evade Extender: Increases evade distance
  • Affinity Sliding Group Skill: Increases your affinity temporarily when sliding

Although the Amstrigian armor set doesn't offer as much defense as the other gear, it's still relatively good to use, especially if you play multiplayer. The item's Wide-Range ability will help nearby allies, and by the time you upgrade this skill to Level 5, it will have a wider radius for maximum buffs.

Amstrigian head armor stats and skills

Attach four other armor pieces to activate the Buttery Leathercraft Group Skill, including gear from the Catacabra, Gypceros, Rompopolo, and Xu Wu. Any items from these monsters will trigger this Group Skill's buff.

Even if you're not a fan of the Amstrigian gear's stats, you can still utilize its layered armor (Transmog) at the Base Camp's Tent. In return, you'll get a cute new monster piece, adding a touch of adorableness to the game's monstrous world. Ultron holding out his hand with an army behind him in marvel rivals

Marvel Rivals boasts an already massive roster of playable characters with a promise to consistently deliver more heroes and villains. Ultron is a confirmed upcoming character, and if you're eager to start playing him, you may want to know about his abilities and kit.

Although he hasn't been released yet, we already know a fair bit about how Ultron will function when he arrives. If he seems like a character you might be interested in trying, here's a full breakdown of Ultron's abilities and kit in Marvel Rivals.

Ultron Marvel Rivals abilties

A close up shot of Ultron's face in Marvel Rivals
Screenshot by Destructoid

Ultron's abilities and kit are believed to focus on summoning drones to heal and support his allies, although they haven't been officially revealed by the Marvel Rivals team yet. A few reliable members of the community who have strong track records of getting previous upcoming content right have shared his alleged skills.

Ultron has six known skills so far, but it's likely he's got at least one more, expected to be a Team-Up, that hasn't been revealed yet since all new heroes who have been released so far have come with a new Team-Up. As any new details surrounding Ultron's abilities and kit are revealed, we'll add them here.

Ability Description Button input
Encephalo-Ray Unleash a burning energy beam. LMB
Imperative: Firewall Summon drones to grant bonus health to allies within range, centered on himself and the ally marked by Imperative: Patch. RMB
Imperative: Patch Command a giant drone to follow an ally, constantly healing allies in its radius, with additional healing for the designated ally. E
Dynamic Flight Fly quickly in the direction of movement and then enter a free-flight mode. Shift
Rage of Ultron (Ultimate) Summon Ultron Drones to fire Encephalo-Rays, damaging enemies or healing allies. Q
Algorithm Correction (Passive) Hold space to fall slowly. Space

Ultron's Encephalo-Ray functions as his primary attack, allowing him to unleash a deadly burning energy beam. This ray is expected to deal damage and heal, similar to Dagger and Invisible Woman's primary abilities, but it's only been confirmed to deal damage so far. It seems like it's meant to heal, too, since his ultimate move is based on it and can damage or heal.

Imperative: Firewall and Imperative: Patch work together to help Ultron protect and heal his teammates. You can use Imperative: Patch to summon a drone and have it stick to one ally, similar to Luna Snow's Share the Stage skill, and then use Imperative: Firewall to summon additional drones for the rest of the team. The Imperative: Patch target gets the most healing, but all others nearby get health restoration, too.

https://twitter.com/RivalsLeaks/status/1869868212927524964

If he's a Strategist as expected, Ultron will be the first to fly using his Dynamic Flight ability. Cloak & Dagger and Rocket Raccoon can hover briefly, but no Strategist can truly fly, so Ultron will be a powerful new pick for this ability. His Algorithm Correction passive move also allows him to fall slowly, extending the time he can stay in the air.

His final ability is Rage of Ultron, a daunting ultimate move where he summons drones to fire Encephalo-Rays. These rays can heal his allies and damage his enemies, making it a flexible move for any combat situation.

What role is Ultron in Marvel Rivals?

Ultron's role hasn't officially been announced, but leaks indicate that he'll join Marvel Rivals as a Strategist. Several reliable leakers who have accurately predicted past game content have shared this as his official role, including X0XLEAK and RivalsLeaks.

He's also already been leaked in the official character select screen, appearing next to other Strategists. His leaked abilities also line up with the Strategist role, as his kit focuses on supplying healing and helping the rest of the team succeed.

https://twitter.com/Rivals_Leaks/status/1871721597775847833

When will Ultron be released in Marvel Rivals?

Ultron is officially slated for release in the second half of season two, which should start around the end of May. He was originally only speculated to be joining the lineup during this season, but he was officially confirmed in the Dev Vision Vol. 05 shared by the Marvel Rivals team on April 3.

While you wait for Ultron's arrival, consider learning about Emma Frost's abilities, unlocking all Hellfire Gala outfits, grabbing the Pick-Up Bundle, and getting the free Scarlet Witch Chaos Gown skin.

Fighting Blackjaw the Remnant in Path of Exile 2

Blackjaw the Remnant is one of the more difficult campaign bosses present in the Path of Exile 2 campaign. If you're struggling to defeat him or require some advice, here's the best way to deal with this potent boss encounter.

How to defeat Blackjaw the Remnant in Path of Exile 2

To formulate a plan of action to defeat Blackjaw the Remnant, you must first understand exactly what kind of boss he is.

Blackjaw is very slow, with large telegraphs (attack cues) for each of his attack chains. To compensate for this, most of his moveset has built-in AoE (area of effect), meaning even if you dodge one of his initial attacks, you'll often be struck by the AoE portion anyway. Blackjaw hits hard due to his slow speed, so avoiding these moves is imperative to bringing him down.

Fighting Blackjaw the Remnant in Path of Exile 2
Screenshot by Destructoid

Most likely, if you're struggling to defeat Blackjaw, it's because you're not taking advantage of his critical weakness: his impressively poor tracking. Blackjaw has a hard time landing his big attacks on you if you remain in melee range of him. This is such a major weakness that you often don't even need to actively dodge the attacks Blackjaw throws out if you're close. Ideally, you'll want to stay behind him at all times, as most of his wide-spanning attacks can't reach you from that angle.

With this strategy, the one attack you still need to be wary of is when he ignites the ground around himself. The fire he spews can harm you, but more importantly, this is a telegraph for a follow-up combo attack that will hurl firebolts in your direction. Avoid these flames and then return to melee range with Blackjaw as soon as the attack ends. Failure to do so could see you nailed with one of his other powerful moves immediately after, which will likely spell the end of your attempt.

Best builds for fighting Blackjaw the Remnant in Path of Exile 2

Fighting Blackjaw the Remnant in Path of Exile 2
Screenshot by Destructoid

While most builds can eventually deal with Blackjaw due to the lack of a time limit associated with the fight, it's ideal to use a build to end this encounter as quickly as possible, as even a single mistake can be fatal.

From a damage standpoint, Blackjaw is critically vulnerable to cold damage, able to bypass a significant amount of his heavy armor. Builds focusing on cold damage should have no problem taking him down quickly.

Speaking of armor, builds that focus on breaking through steel can be quite effective against Blackjaw. His slow speed means he's very easy to hit, and with no armor, Blackjaw suffers greatly against most damage types. Armor shred is the name of the game if you're going this route and using physical damage against him. Enemies that have their armor broken take more physical damage, so this works out well.

Fighting Blackjaw the Remnant in Path of Exile 2
Screenshot by Destructoid

Builds using Poison as their main damage type should be using the Corrosion support gem for their main poison skill. This gem allows your poison damage to shred away armor, which results in a higher Poison Magnitude, which means more damage against Blackjaw.

Builds focusing on non-poison Chaos damage are strong against Blackjaw because the Chaos damage type is one of the least resisted in the entire game. Blackjaw has meager resistance against Chaos damage, but if you want to strip it entirely for your build, I recommend using either the Despair curse skill or Withering Presence aura. Enemy resistance cannot go below zero in Path of Exile 2, so don't overkill it by using both.

For all of the above-mentioned build setups, whether you're playing melee or ranged should not matter against Blackjaw. What's more important is the execution of the strategy I mentioned above. Stay up close and personal; stay behind him as much as possible, and you'll fell Blackjaw the Remnant with surprising ease.

An image of Marvel Rivals free skins

Marvel Rivals launched with a host of popular characters from the superhero (and villain) universe, and you can unlock different skins called Costumes to customize their appearances.

There is no shortage of skins that you can purchase from the in-game store, but there are some that you can get for free simply by playing the game or if you play on a certain platform. The majority of them are paid, but you can also earn currency to buy them, so you don't have to spend much money on the game if you don't want to.

Traveling through The Molten Vault in Path of Exile 2

In Path of Exile 2, reaching The Molten Vault can be a bit tricky due to the sheer size of the area leading up to it. The real challenge lies in locating it, but there are a few tips that can make your journey a lot smoother.

How to find The Molten Vault in Path of Exile 2

The Molten Vault is an optional side area located in The Drowned City location on the map. It contains one of the hardest pre-endgame bosses you can encounter and is challenging in general to get through due to the tight confinements and relatively powerful enemies.

Searching for the entrance to The Molten Vault in Path of Exile 2
Screenshot by Destructoid

First, you need to head to The Drowned City. The campaign eventually takes you there, so you can't miss it. The Drowned City is full of undead enemies, including hags that instantly kill you if you stand still too long, so you'll need to be careful as you navigate the area. The scenery of this area offers no substantial notable locations, so everything looks the same and drowns together. This is what makes it tasking to pinpoint the entrance to The Molten Vault.

Most maps and areas in Path of Exile 2 are randomly generated, meaning each time you enter one, you'll encounter different variants (thus layouts) of the same area. I won't be able to give you an exact location of The Molten Vault because of this. However, what I can tell you is that the entrance tends to be near the edges of the map, often following dead-end paths. There's also a checkpoint next to the vault entrance, and you'll see it before you see the actual entryway.

Since you're looking for dead-end pathways, I recommend sticking to the outskirts of the map as much as you can. You won't be able to the entire time, as The Drowned City is like a small labyrinth, but as long you're reaching the endpoint of the outskirt-focused routes, you'll eventually find the Molten Vault. Make sure you're using your map so you don't backtrack through areas and routes you've already explored.

How to navigate The Molten Vault in Path of Exile 2

Despite how taxing it can be to locate The Molten Vault, once you're inside, it's actually very straightforward to run through it. Compared to most areas in Path of Exile 2, the Molten Vault is relatively small. Its randomness factor is also reduced, as no matter which variation of the area you get, there's always one central route that leads directly to the boss at the end.

The central route is one big square, leading from the entrance of the vault, up north, and then back down south to where the boss is waiting for you. The ordination of this square may look a bit different and, quite frankly, odd if you're looking at your map, but the reason this route exists is the boss encounter takes up a significant amount of the area's space, and thus, doesn't change from map variations.

The Molten Vault features machines of the Vaal Empire, which are some of the most deadly enemies in all of Path of Exile 2. Add in the extremely close-quarter nature of the vault, and you'll quickly realize you need to be careful as you progress through it. You'll know you've reached the end of the vault when you reach The Aureduct—the location of the boss: Mektul, the Forgemaster.

How to defeat Mekthul, the Forgemaster in Path of Exile 2

Traveling through The Molten Vault in Path of Exile 2
Screenshot by Destructoid

Mekthul, the Forgemaster is one of the hardest bosses in the campaign purely because he has a timer attached. When you enter The Aureduct using the elevator nearby, the fight will begin with lava spilling out from his initial location. This lava will flow toward you as you fight Mekthul. Your job is to kill him before the lava reaches the end. If you don't, you'll die. This means the Mekthul, the Forgemaster encounter is a DPS race.

So how do you kill him in time? Your character needs to be sufficiently built with enough damage output. I recommend using ranged and cold damage, as both these things will make defeating him much easier. Melee is not advised.

Screenshot by Destructoid

On occasion, Mekthul will spawn rock constructs and lava waves to impend your ability to attack him. Avoid these, and keep up as much DPS pressure as possible. The most difficult portion of this fight is simply having the damage to kill him before you run out of space. Mekthul's mechanics are best summarized as "avoid the thing on the ground." If you've got the damage and can dodge, you should have no problem defeating him.

stitch in disney lorcana azurite sea

The first official ban list for Disney Lorcana is live, and it has taken until April for Disney to make its first bit of adjustment to the meta.

The first ban list includes two cards that have now been removed from the Core Constructed format. Disney has also partially explained the rationale behind the decisions, and what it could mean for the existing meta.

All banned cards in Disney Lorcana

Disney Lorcana has been out since August 2023, and this is the first time we have witnessed a ban. Here are the cards that are now banned from Core Constructed.

  • Hiram Flaversham
  • Fortisphere

The latter is an item card, but there's a similarity between both: their in-game interactions deal with banishing other cards.

https://twitter.com/DisneyLorcana/status/1909653001016353082

How will card bans work in Disney Lorcana?

The existence of a ban list basically means players can't use decks with the cards. This affects those who take part in competitive events like Disney Lorcana Challenges and other tournaments that use decks based on the Core Constructed format.

A ban doesn't mean the cards have been completely removed from the game. You can also use decks with these cards in casual play and against friends and family. Any casual tournaments organized for fun can also include them, as long as the decks aren't based on the Core Constructed format.

Disney has yet to give an explainer for their decision, but it should be available soon on the official Discord. You can join it by clicking on this link. Elaine Chase, Chief Marketing Officer for TCGs at Ravensburger, gave the following explanation.

No card is ever designed with the intention of it not being played in competition. But in order to keep the meta-game healthy and challenging without it feeling stale or repetitive seeing the same strategies again and again, the TCG design team at Ravensburger made the difficult decision for the good of the game. We know bans are the last line of defense and we will only pull that lever when it will increase excitement for competitive play."

The ban on the cards are active as of writing, and this is incidentally the first time there has been an outright ban. So far, few cards have been made part of Erratas, which ignores the text written on them originally. Instead, the cards use a text listed on the official rules source.

Erratas were introduced originally to balance the game's meta, but things are now heating up with out-right bans.
