Destiny 2 art featured as part of an ongoing fanart series in the developer's This Week at Bungie series was apparently generated by artificial intelligence, Destiny Tracker reports. A user named Hebb appears to have submitted the Destiny 2 artwork in response to a call for community members to post their Destiny 2-themed creations. While Bungie doesn't appear to have an express rule against fans submitting AI-generated art for the FPS game's community creations page, recent conversations about such art have ignited controversy about what it means to create art in the first place.

hatsune miku 2023 concert

Crypton Future Media opened up a Kickstarter for a free Hatsune Miku Expo 2023 VR concert that would take place online. If it reaches its goal, the concert will take place in October 2023. The goal is $303,758 and as of 3:50pm ET on February 6, 2023, it passed $151,000. The Kickstarter will end on April 5, 2023.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sh_OigT5bL8

The reason why Crypton plans on making this an online concert is due to the prevalence of COVID-19. It would be difficult for international guests to travel to Japan, and the increasing number of cases within Japan would limit how many attendees there can be. Crypton already held free online concerts in the past. If the Kickstarter reaches its minimum goal, then there will be 12 songs at the concert. Stretch goals will add in more costumes and songs. At the maximum, there could be 15 songs.

Most of the pledges offer rewards such as your name in the credits and merchandise. You can get an exclusive T-shirt, for example. Some of the higher tiers include perks such as deciding on what effects the concert will have, so this Kickstarter campaign offers fans the chance to help in organizing the concert. Pledging 75,000 JPY ($564.90) will allow you to color in a MyMiku 3D model. That 3D model will then show up on stage during the concert. If you pledge 100,000 JPY ($753.20), Miku will shout your name in the credits

The Kickstarter for the Hatsune Miku Expo 2023 VR concert will end on April 5, 2023.

Atelier Ryza 3 character relationship chart

Koei Tecmo shared a new character relationship chart for Atelier Ryza 3. The chart includes information on different characters, ranging from party members to side characters. The company has been releasing a lot of new information ahead of its Japanese release in March 23, and its overseas release on March 24, 2023. Some of it includes its opening movie, along with many new gameplay elements. [Thanks, Inside Games!]

You can check out the full character relationship chart for Atelier Ryza 3 here:

[gallery columns="1" link="file" ids="949816"]

Arrows link each characters with one another, with a bit of text detailing their relationship. The chart includes Kala, Dian, and Federica, three characters new to the game. The arrow connecting Kala to Ryza translates to "has an interest on alchemists of this new era," while Tao has a line connecting with Kala that reads "I need the help of someone with knowledge of history for my investigation." Meanwhile, Dian "thinks that strong alchemists like Ryza are awesome," but he also has an extra line connected to Lent that reads "mentor-like figure." Federica "respects Ryza as a craftsman and creator," and an additional line connects her to Patricia as "friends of the same age."

Formally titled Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & The Secret Key, the game takes place one year after the events in Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy. For the third and last entry, Ryza and her friends will visit a series of mysterious islands that have started appearing around the world for their "last summer adventure."

Atelier Ryza 3 will release for the PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch on March 23, 2023 in Japan and March 24, 2023 elsewhere. Early purchases include the "Summer Look" DLC costume set.

one punch man overwatch 2

Blizzard uploaded a trailer for Season 3 of Overwatch 2, revealing an upcoming collaboration between it and One Punch Man. It will run from March 7, 2023 to April 6, 2023. So far, it has only shown Doomfist in Saitama's outfit. Season 3 will start from February 7, 2023.

The trailer also shows off other skins that will be able through the shop and the Battle Pass. As well, it teases some limited events that Overwatch 2 will run other than the One Punch Man collaboration. Hanzo will get a skin in the Ultimate Valentine event (February 14-28, 2023) and Roadhog will have a skin in the PachiMarchi event (March 21, 2023 to April 4, 2023).

You can check out the Overwatch 2 Season 3 trailer here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNX1wV9UfL4

The Battle Pass will come with skins from Kiriko, Reaper, Junkrat, and Moira. As for the ones in the shop, you will be able to get outfits for Zenyatta, Genji, D.Va, Ashe, and Mei. Items in the shop will require real-life currency.

As for why Blizzard chose to give Doomfist the Saitama skin, it is likely due to Doomfist's "One punch is all I need line." He says this in the trailer as well. One Punch Man is the first collaboration in Overwatch 2 to feature a character from another intellectual property. More information on the skins and cosmetics you can obtain will appear on March 7, 2023.

Overwatch 2 is readily available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC. The One Punch Man collaboration event in Overwatch 2 will run from March 7, 2023 to April 6, 2023.

Machina x Flayon HoloLive

In January 2023, Cover introduced a handful of new Vtubers joining its Hololive Vtuber roster. Each being a new, eclectic addition, Gavis Bettel, Banzoin Hakka, Josuiji Shinri, and Machina X Flayon all became members of Holostars' Tempus guild. Siliconera got the opportunity to interview Machina x Flayon of HoloLive to talk about his experience as a member of Cover and what it's like to work alongside such a wide array of Vtubers.

Kazuma Hashimoto: What did the application process look like once Cover took an interest in you?

Machina x Flayon: I'm always called a genius (you can even see it on my website profile), but I never really liked the moniker.

People would always tell me "You can do this" or "You would definitely fit in here," but I find stuff like that also pretty pressuring. I'm amazing in my own right, but I believe I've always had to work hard just like anyone else and nice things shouldn't just come to me naturally. If I want friends, for example, I should work on listening to people and actually improving myself as a person. So the whole application process was pretty difficult… at first! I never really knew what to put down when applying to TEMPUS as a whole. People see a lot of things in me, but we kinda never really match our preferred version of ourselves, right?

That's where I noticed my own issue, the perfectionist streak I had and once I started working on that the whole process was easy! Instead of comparing myself to numerous people or my own version of myself I wanted to be, I was just frank and listed my strong suits. What am I good at? I'm good at X, Y, Z. Why should you bother looking at me? You should hire me because of X and Y. Just focus on listing your strengths and being real with yourself about what you're actually good at. If you're not good at something? That's fine. I had a terrible voice and singing when I started and it was never an actual "talent" for me. The important part is that you just start somewhere and begin working to make it an actual one. Confidence built upon you working on yourself overtime, in my opinion, is stronger than any faking your confidence will ever be. So, if you don't have the skills you want? Go do your best to obtain them then show people your stuff.

How much time did you get to spend getting to know your fellow generation members, as well as the other Holostars EN Tempus members, ahead of your debut?

Machina x Flayon: Getting to know the others was pretty nerve-wracking to say the least! I've always had trouble expressing myself and making friends due to numerous issues since I was young, but I was pleasantly surprised with how easy the whole process was with my guildmates. It's definitely something that you have to cultivate yourself. You cannot just expect people to come to you or to just read your mind. You have to put yourself out there even if there is a chance you won't get along or if you will be misunderstood. I think the whole process took around a couple of months to get to know everyone? Bettel and I already were at the guild beforehand, so I had no trouble getting along with him. He's a really charismatic guy and down to earth more than anyone else I've ever met. I recall mentioning this on stream once, but I think out of everyone in the guild I've talked the most and had the most heart to heart moments with him. When we arrived at the guild with Hakka and Shinri, I think we mainly spent that time getting to know each other while the HQ (Original 4) were busy. I will say that the first month or second felt the longest as we were all busy and still adjusting to the new environment.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BRMjRzkp5I&ab_channel=MachinaXFlayonCh.HOLOSTARS-EN
What has been one of the most difficult challenges for you as a new member of HoloLive? Was there anything that you had difficulties adjusting to?

Machina x Flayon: One of the most difficult challenges for me was honestly accepting myself as part of the group! I've always had issues being in social environments for a variety of reasons ranging from focus to even just a lack of social interaction when I was younger. Some people would praise and call me a genius, but to me that never felt like an actual thing. So when you have that label on you and expectations are high, they can honestly be pretty difficult to work through! To be really frank, I'm amazing and that's because of all the mistakes I've made and hard effort I've put in to get here. At the same time, however, all of my guildmmates all have a different craft that they're strong in and they're already cultivated a fanbase while we were on the expedition. I do not want to mess that up for anyone, but sometimes I can get the wrong idea or catch onto things a little slow! It's extremely difficult in that regard to be nice to yourself because I really don't want to inconvenience anyone. So out of everything, I think I would say that honing my social skills has been the most difficult as I've never had this much attention on me!

What is your favorite part about collaborating with so many other VTubers under the HoloLive umbrella?

Machina x Flayon: My favorite thing is that I don't have to worry as much when it comes to performing and communicating! You would think that is something that gives me great difficulty, but I think everyone understands we have to be honest with each other with a job like this. Everyone has different goals and reasons for wanting to stream under the HoloLive umbrella whether it be for fans, recognition, money, etc.

The reason I say I don't have to worry as much, however, is because I believe that Guild Tempus and Cover as a whole does a great job at picking out potential. Everyone here has their own craft, strong suit and knows what their selling point is. I don't have to worry as much when collaborating with others aside from my own performance. For example, if I'm doing improvisation on a theater stage, it can be difficult if the performer you're working with has difficulty matching your energy. Here with my guildmmates, well, they can all give me a run for my money in their own way!

Basically, I love the challenge and I like when people know more than me because it just makes me want to get stronger! When I was younger, the whole thing of someone being better than me made me super jealous. Now, however, after going through my own trials and tribulations, I'm personally grateful to even have the opportunity to do such things in the first place. It's definitely a personal lesson that you have to learn on your own and teach yourself and no one else should tell you it for you.

What advice would you give someone looking to begin their Vtuber career or journey?

Machina x Flayon: My advice is pretty simple! Just have fun with it, start small and progressively feel things over time. However, I want to put big importance on what "fun" actually means to a person. If you're starting a Vtuber career or journey, you have to consider what attracts you and why you like to do it. Are you doing it just for your own enjoyment? Do you need to do it to make money? Are you able to make money in the long term doing this? Does it matter if you do? Those sort of questions.

Starting small is essential, in my opinion, because sometimes… I don't know what I want, haha! I've always been a person that had trouble understanding myself more than anything. We all know that no one really likes Buyer's Remorse either. So I say start small and feel things out over time whether it's by testing streaming or even just making small videos. You can always check with yourself too with how you feel about things and hey maybe sometimes you'll be wrong. The important thing though is that I think you should always respect your feelings instead of repressing yourself. So, if you try streaming/Vtubing and are getting stressed out about it, why not try a break if you can afford to. Others may tell you to do one thing or another, but ultimately I think you should trust your own feelings first. Even if they aren't pretty or can be negative, you have a right to feel things and you shouldn't beat yourself up about it.

You can watch Machina x Flayon's HoloLive streams on YouTube.

HoYoVerse picked the people who can take part in the final Honkai Star Rail closed beta, and people can see if they're "in."

It's time to check your tickets and prepare for boarding. The final Honkai Star Rail closed beta is about to begin on February 10, 2023. Ahead of that, HoYoVerse announced it picked everyone who can take part. Notifications are going out. While people who applied via community events won't know if they can take part yet, others will be able to see if they can play ahead of launch.

The announcement basically mentioned two ways to see if a possible player qualified for the Honkai Star Rail final closed beta. The easy way to check is to look in your email inbox. People picked by HoYoVerse should get a response from "Honkai: Star Rail Express Crew" at noreply.notification@e-mail.hoyoverse.com. The developer did note this could end up in the Spam folder.

However, if you didn't get an email, you can also visit the official site. Logging in there will let you know if you can participate as well. That one will also show which platforms you can access it on and your test server region. Once the test begins, there will also be information about installing and participating in it there.

Honkai Star Rail is in development for PCs and mobile devices, and the final closed beta will begin on February 10, 2023.

Honkai Impact 3rd Kiana Herrscher of Finality and Mei Herrscher of Origin Movesets Detailed

HoYoVerse took to HoYoLab to share details on the Kiana Kaslana Herrscher of Finality and Raiden Mei Herrscher of Origin S-rank battlesuits joining in the Honkai Impact 3rd the version Kiana update. Each one offered insights into how the movesets for the characters work. Both are IMG-type units, however they deal different types of elemental damage. Mei's can be gotten via a Origin Rekindled event and the Story Chapter XXXIV The Moon's Origin and Finality. Kiana's will be in the Hope of Finality Supply event.

The Herrscher of Finality battlesuit is a Fire DMG type. Its basic attack is Supreme Blade, Reforged and can hit up to five times. The combo is Searching Drifter, Answered, which has Time Flint and Moon Blade stances, which switch when Descent. These stances deal more damage if Mei's Herrscher of Origin is a teammate. Her Ultimate is called Deadly Finality, Surmounted. Like the combo, if Mei is around there is a change. That will unlock the Joint Ultimate with all three characters attacking.

Mei's Herrscher of Origin Honkai Impact 3rd battlesuit focuses on Lightning DMG. Her basic attack is the four-hit Strike of Fulminata, and her combo is Phantasm of Danzai. She can also use the Thunder of Redemption Ultimate. Unlike Kiana, there are no additional buffs or bonuses for Mei's attacks when the two are on the same team.

Honkai Impact 3rd is available for the PC and mobile devices, and version Kiana is expected to arrive in February 2023.

Two players can party up (or one player randomly matched with another) to complete two different tasks and have their bond judged. Here's our guide on how to complete the Valentione's Day ceremony minigame — ranging from a maze to a card-matching game — in FFXIV. While the minigame has no rewards and is only there for fun, it is deceptively difficult getting a good score at the end. Here's how to optimize your score in the Valentione's Day Ceremony Minigame.      How to unlock Hogwarts Legacy locked doors and chests

You won't be able to unlock Hogwarts Legacy locked doors and chests for quite some time, as it isn't until you come across the main story quest called 'The Caretaker's Lunar Lament'. Here, you'll properly meet Hogwarts' caretaker, Gladwin Moon. He's usually a bit of a tough geezer, but he recently has become paranoid that someone's out to torment him. Recently he came face-to-face with a Boggart, which apparated into his greatest fear: a Demiguise. Now all of a sudden, there are statues everywhere, and he wants to reveal the identity of his assailant.

During this quest, Gladwin teaches you Alohomora, one of the Hogwarts Legacy spells that unlocks locks on doors and chests, which in this open-world game can contain valuable gear and collectables. To get this precious spell, you first need to progress through the Hogwarts Legacy story for a fair number of hours until you get this main story quest in your log. Gladwin will teach the first level to you as part of the quest, but returning Hogwarts Legacy Demiguise Statues to him will eventually increase the spell's level to a maximum of three.

     Hogwarts Legacy Transmog system explained

With the Hogwarts Legacy transmog system, you can always turn up to class looking like the best-dressed person at school. Fortunately, that awful-looking beret you found in the Forbidden Forest with incredible stats doesn't have to go to waste. Any piece of gear you find can be altered to take on the appearance of another item.

The RPG game features a range of clothing to make your avatar stand out from the rest of the Hogwarts Legacy characters. Any piece of clothing you find in Hogwarts Legacy will appear as a transmog option. This means you don't need to hold onto your favourite clothes just because they look good. As long as the item has appeared in your inventory, you automatically unlock the ability to transmog into that piece of clothing.

Hogwarts Legacy Cache in the Castle treasure location

Want to know how to complete the Hogwarts Legacy Cache in the Castle side quest? Just outside of Professor Fig's classroom in the Astronomy Tower, you will find Arthur Plummly, a Hufflepuff student seeking treasure hidden within the castle walls. This side quest may not be much on the surface, but it teaches you a valuable lesson when exploring the school halls: nothing is as it seems.

To complete the Hogwarts Legacy Cache in the Castle side quest and find the hidden treasure, you will need access to one of the most basic Hogwarts Legacy spells, Accio. Luckily, by the time this side quest appears in the open-world game, you should already have learned this spell by attending your first Charms class. This task will take you far away from the quest-giver, so keep your Hogwarts Legacy map handy and take advantage of Floo Flames for fast travel if you lose your bearings.

     Hogwarts Legacy Revelio pages explained

Hogwarts Legacy Revelio pages are one of many collectables in the Harry Potter RPG, and they can be quite confusing. You'll probably find a few as soon as you're let loose around Hogwarts after the intro, and as expected, you need to use Revelio to find them, but how exactly do they work?

Revelio pages in Hogwarts Legacy are in the same category as field guide pages and flying pages, but they're also slightly different. You may notice that Revelio pages specifically are tracked in-game, as each one provides a tiny bit of lore about the subject in question, whether it's something like the Great Hall which every Potter fan knows and recognises in the open-world game, or a collection of beehives in a hamlet miles away from the castle. Here's what you need to know about the Hogwarts Legacy Revelio pages.

Should you steal a Fwooper feather for Garreth in Hogwarts Legacy?

Knowing whether to steal the Hogwarts Legacy Fwooper feather for Garreth in Potions class is a tricky one because, on one hand, you want to give a good first impression to Professor Sharp as the new fifth-year student. On the other hand, Garreth's "spectacular" potion is sure to be excellent, and you want to make friends and allies during your time at Hogwarts.

This isn't the only decision you'll need to make in Hogwarts Legacy, but it is one of the earliest, and Garreth does make a good case for himself in the RPG game. It's fairly simple to steal the feather - all you need to do is pick it up when you enter Sharp's office, alongside the ingredients you're actually in there for - but will you get in trouble? Here are the two outcomes of the Potions class decision on whether to steal the Fwooper feather in Hogwarts Legacy or not.

How to get Hogwarts Legacy flying pages

Want to know how to get the Hogwarts Legacy flying pages? You may have seen them slowly flapping their papery wings across the many rooms of Hogwarts. These are field guide pages, though not ones to be confused with those hidden next to landmarks, which are classed as Revelio pages.

Getting the Hogwarts Legacy flying pages gives you little experience but nothing else to contribute to completing the Hogwarts Legacy challenges. That said, these Hogwarts Legacy field guide pages are worth picking up when you see them just to get that little extra boost, as level-ups give you additional health. So therein lies the big question: how? Chances are you've seen them early in the open-world game and attempted to use the basic projectile spell to knock them down. All this does is knock them around, but they remain airborne. You need to learn one of the Hogwarts Legacy spells from your teachers before you can pluck them from the sky.

Hogwarts Legacy Daedalian keys and their locations

Want to know where all the Hogwarts Legacy Daedalaian keys are? Fairly early on in the game, you'll find some side quests that teach you a little more about each of the collectibles in the game. One of these quests is 'The Daedalian Keys' who you can get from Gryffindor student Nellie Oggspire standing in the Transfiguration Courtyard. She asks you to investigate the flying keys scattered around Hogwarts.

These are the Hogwarts Legacy Daedalian keys, and to solve the puzzle, you need to get close to them to gain their trust. Once you do, follow them to a nearby lockbox to claim the house token inside. As it turns out, there are more of them hidden, but with so many collectibles in the open-world game, you'll be pleased to hear that you don't need to set foot outside of the school for this one. That said, you do eventually need to learn a couple of Hogwarts Legacy spells to access hard-to-reach areas. Here is how the Daedalian keys work, their locations, and if they need you to learn specific spells to get them.

Dreamlight Valley Encanto update includes Mirabel and Olaf

A Dreamlight Valley Encanto update has been announced as the first part of the 2023 roadmap for the Disney game, bringing the lovable Mirabel Madrigal to the valley. However, in an unexpected twist, Gameloft has hinted that she'll be joined by none other than Frozen's adorable sentient snowman Olaf, who will be reunited with his old friend Anna and Elsa.

The next Dreamlight Valley update is just around the corner as Gameloft continues with their regular content updates to the early access game - and one of the best PC games of 2022. The developer knows how to keep its fans hooked by adding new Dreamlight Valley characters every couple of months, but it had been a bit quiet since the ability to unlock Stitch was added to the Disney game. Finally, an entire Dreamlight Valley 2023 roadmap for the first half of the year has been revealed, so here's what we know about the arrival of the family Madrigal's iconic Mirabel, and the chilly little snowman Olaf.

Despite being in early access, the Disney game cemented itself as one of the best PC games of 2022, with regular content updates, a vibrant community, and speedy and regular patches when bugs are found. We've now had two large content updates since the game launched just a few months ago. Wishfully's upcoming cinematic platformer Planet Of Lana turned eyes and heads when it was first announced at E3 2021, and the comparison we instantly settled upon was "like Ori meets Inside". At a recent ID@Xbox showcase we attended last week, creative director and Wishfully co-founder Adam Stjarnljus acknowledged that Playdead connection, saying that both Limbo and Inside "had a huge impact on me", but he also said Studio Ghibli's animated film Spirited Away was another key influence, which, yep, that definitely tracks.

"I was very inspired by Studio Ghibli films, and especially the film Spirited Away," Stjarnljus told us. "That's been kind of like a guiding star from the beginning in terms of tonality with this serious, emotional story, but [also] still, like, a fun quirkiness to it, and really this sense of exploring another world, which we really want."

I hesitate to call Potion Tales a shop sim or retail management game, because the economics of running a figuratively and literally underground magic potion shop seems a secondary concern next to making the potions and deciding whether you want to screw people over or not. If the answer to that last part is yes, you need to move on to the question of how.

In practice, Potion Tales is a 3D puzzle game. People come to you - I use the term people broadly because the tutorial level involves helping a fire spirit and soon after you're approached by what appears to be an aggressive daisy who is the local gravekeeper - and present you with a problem. They ask for a potion to solve the problem. That's all the steer you get. It takes some getting used to, but the Steam demo shows an impressively flexible game with a good sense of humour.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Valentine's Day Tera Raid Involves Tandemaus

The Couple Pokemon will take part in a special event over Valentine's Day 2023. In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the next "major" Tera Raid was revealed, and it will involve Tandemaus. Between February 13-14, 2023, people will get more opportunities to catch the character introduced in this latest installment.

The in-game Pokemon Scarlet and Violet notice available via the Poke Portal offered additional details about the Tandemaus Tera Raid. First, it will be available at multiple difficulties. People could encounter a one to five-star Tera Raid with the character. There will also be sandwich ingredients among the rewards. These will include sweet dessert items, with strawberries and whipped cream among the two options mentioned. The raids themselves will run from 00:00 UTC on February 13, 2023 until 23:59 UTC on February 14, 2023.

As a reminder, Tandemaus' evolution to Maushold can be a bit weird. It needs to be involved in a battle at or after level 25 in order to evolve. However, it might also evolve if it leveled up as part of one, but you might not see a video showing it. Once it does evolve, it can become a Family of Three or Family of Four form version of the character.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is available for the Nintendo Switch, and the Tandemaus Tera Raid event will run February 13-14, 2023.

SNL Included an HBO Mario Kart 'Trailer'

As part of the February 4, 2023 Pedro Pascal SNL episode, one trailer skit envisioned what a gritty, HBO show based on Mario Kart looked like. Pascal, who plays Joel in The Last of Us HBO adaptation, again played the lead role tasked with protecting a young woman in a post apocalyptic environment. Except for this "show," he was Mario and needed to drive Peach to Rainbow Road.

Here's the full SNL skit for the "HBO Mario Kart trailer. Pascal introduces himself with an "It'sa me, Mario." Princess Peach ended up removed from her role when Bowser took over. "Mario" ends up taking her in a kart through the wasteland. Along the way, he stops at Luigi's "haunted" mansion, they avoid a Goomba, and also work with Yoshi and Toad.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiIRlg4Xr5w&ab_channel=SaturdayNightLive

This is the second week in a row SNL aired a video game skit. During the Michael B. Jordan episode on January 28, 2023, there was a Street Fighter 6 one. That involved him and cast member Bowen Yang recording lines for Ryu and Ken.

The most recent mainline Mario Kart game is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Nintendo Switch. The Last of Us season one is now airing on HBO.

Arika Working with Bandai Namco on Tekken 7 and Tekken 8

As part of the announcements at Tekken World Tour 2022, Arika's involvement in both development of Tekken 7 and Tekken 8 came out. Bandai Namco Producer Michael Murray thanked Arika's Akira Nishitani on stage at the keynote, citing Arika is working on both games. Arika then shared exact details about how it is assisting with development on its official site on February 5, 2023. [Thanks, Resetera!]

With Tekken 7, Arika is helping Bandai Namco with an update. Bandai Namco's part will involve balancing issues. Arika will be tasked with squashing bugs and improvements to the game and its online multiplayer. With Tekken 8, it seems like Arika will work on online multiplayer elements and "the user experience."

Here is the exact statement going over what Arika will do on each game.

Update of Tekken 7:

Both parties will collaborate on the development of an update of Tekken 7, the game developed by Bandai Namco.

NOTE: Any update of the Software including improvements, bug fixes, and usability improvements for online matches will be handled by ARIKA.

NOTE: Game balance items are handled by Bandai Namco.

Contracting for services related to Tekken 8:

We will provide advice on our developed online battle algorithms and game response, as well as undertake production work to improve the user experience.

By contracting the above services, we will strive to deliver even better games to gamers worldwide.

This isn't the only Tekken 8 update for February 2023 coming out of Tekken World Tour 2022. Quite a bit of news arrived regarding the eighth installment. We know Nina Williams will return as a playable character. A new trailer also looked at the Heat and Rage Systems.

Tekken 7 is available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Tekken 8 is in development for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam.

GBA Classics and JRPGs That Aged Extremely Well 10 best gba games ranked

The Game Boy Advance was an incredible platform. It is filled with these extraordinary titles. Especially if you enjoy RPGs or strategy games. It was a fantastic time. What's also great about it as that some of these GBA games are still the best! They hold up, even decades after the handheld's 2001 release. Which is why we decided to cite some of the especially worthwhile games you still may want to play.

Now, it is important to keep in mind that since Siliconera is a site focused on Japanese games, those are the GBA titles we'll be looking at the most and recommending! We're also only focusing on ones that appeared exclusively on the handheld. There are tons of amazing options out there! So think of this more as a start to your GBA journey, rather than some definitive, ranked list of games.

Slime Morimori Dragon Quest

10. Slime Morimori Dragon Quest

This game… well, you're going to need an English patch to play it! It's a Japan-exclusive, The Legend of Zelda-style adventure that predated the extraordinary Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime. While you couldn't use a stylus to send your slime careening around the screen, it's still a lovely, wonderful, and personable adventure.

WarioWare

9. WarioWare, Inc.

You know that great WarioWare series? It started here! With this! It's a great collection of microgames and is still so much fun to play. Especially since you're also limited by how many buttons you have on a GBA. It is definitely worthwhile.

mario and luigi GBA Classics and JRPGs That Aged Extremely Well 10 best gba games ranked

8. Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga

There are a handful of Super Mario RPG spin-offs, and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga kicked off a great line of games. (Well, I mean, technically Alphadream's Tomato Adventure kicked off this sort of RPG. But still!) It's a fun RPG with Mario and Luigi as the focus, it uses established characters and lore well, and it still looks amazing.

rhythm tengoku

7. Rhythm Tengoku

While Rhythm Heaven exposed people worldwide to Nintendo's amazing and unique rhythm game, it was Rhythm Tengoku on the GBA that started it all. It offered those same sorts of brief musical experiences on the handheld. Again, the limited buttons meant it still worked amazingly well. Perhaps the only thing that held it back was the speaker quality? Anyways, it is very import-friendly and one of the best GBA games out there, so it is worth your time.

advance wars GBA Classics and JRPGs That Aged Extremely Well 10 best gba games ranked

6. Advance Wars

Since the wait for Advance Wars 1+2 Reboot Camp is apparently forever, the original Advance Wars is a game someone can't miss. It's a fantastic Intelligent Systems strategy game. It perfectly brought the Famicom Wars series forward to a new generation. Plus it has so much personality and color to it. It's lovely.

Golden Sun

5. Golden Sun

While Nintendo did us dirty by never giving us a sequel to Golden Sun: Dark Dawn and its cliffhanger, at least we have the original Golden Sun games! This entry and The Lost Age come together to tell a great story with magic, a world in need of saving, and djinn. It still looks good, offers fun environmental puzzles, and is a lot of fun to play with its djinn and "class" system.

GBA Classics and JRPGs That Aged Extremely Well 10 best gba games ranked Metroid fusion

4. Metroid Fusion

Metroid Fusion is probably one of the more perfect entries in the series. At least, when talking about Metroidvania-style ones. It's fluid. It is challenging. The map begs for further exploration as you delve into it. All of which means it holds up extremely well.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance GBA Classics and JRPGs That Aged Extremely Well 10 best gba games ranked

3. Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

Here's a little secret: I like Final Fantasy Tactics Advance more than the original FFT. There's something about the accessibility afforded. It has 34 fun jobs to use, as well as all the Ivalice races. It was fun to see more happen with the Ivalice Alliance, to be frank! Also, the Laws system meant that you needed to get creative with your actions, as sometimes a certain action or kind of equipment would be against the law and could get you killed! It was great.

GBA Classics and JRPGs That Aged Extremely Well 10 best gba games ranked

2. Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones

Let's be clear. Every Fire Emblem game on the GBA is fantastic. They are all winners. I really liked and recommend Sacred Stones because we get the two routes, a great array of classes and characters, and the Creature Campaign post-game. It's one of the most solid installments and still among the best GBA games out there.

Legend of Zelda Minish Cap

1. The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap

This was a close one, because the GBA is also home to A Link to the Past and Four Swords, but I have to say The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap is too lovely and holds up too well. It is so perfect on the handheld. Plus the spritework is exceptional, with these great transitions between the larger world and smaller one. It's stunning. I don't even think it would have worked as well on a console or other platform. Maybe the DS? Anyways, it holds up well, remains a classic, and deserves attention.

SD Shin Kamen Rider Rumble

A global release of Hideaki Anno's Shin Kamen Rider film isn't confirmed yet, but its tie-in game adaptation is ready to cross the seas. SD Shin Kamen Rider Rumble will launch in Asia on April 27, 2023. The game will appear on PC and Nintendo Switch, and will be fully localized into English and published by Bandai Namco.

Check out the release date trailer for SD Shin Kamen Rider Rumble. The game was first announced for Japan in January.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VJ5PYbXv8c

The SD Shin Kamen Rider Rumble trailer replicates the opening sequence of Shin Kamen Rider, which was heavily inspired by the original 1971 Kamen Rider intro. The trailer shows off gameplay footage, featuring Kamen Rider, Takeshi Hongo, beating through waves of goons from SHOCKER. SHOCKER is the secret organization that kidnapped Takeshi and turned him into the cyborg super soldier Kamen Rider. The Shin Kamen Rider incarnation will fight both with and without his helmet, and spends a fair amount of time wearing a black overcoat over his cybernetic armor.

The game itself is a side-scrolling brawler-style title, though it appears to incorporate systems to gradually improve Kamen Rider's abilities. Kamen Rider also goes into battle against Kumo Augment, a SHOCKER-created monster from the film and its version of the classic monster Man Spider. Kamen Rider also deploys his famous Rider Kick super move to annihilate his foes.

SD Shin Kamen Rider Rumble will be available in Asia on the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on April 27, 2023.

Angel Beats! Heaven Burns Red

Key and Wright Flyer Studios, developers of Heaven Burns Red, unveiled a special event for the game's first anniversary: A crossover with classic 2010 anime series Angel Beats!. The Heaven Burns Red Angel Beats! crossover begins on Friday, February 10, 2023 in Japan [Thanks, Ryokutya2089!]

The official account for Heaven Burns Red also posted promotional art to accompany the announcement. The art shows Heaven Burns Red protagonist Ruka Kayamori standing alongside three Angel Beats! characters: Yuri "Yurippe" Nakamura, Kanade "Angel" Tachibana, and Miyuki Irie. The event is titled "The Place Where The Cosmos Continue to Bloom" in Japanese.

https://twitter.com/heavenburnsred/status/1622206196978700290

According to the announcement, the Heaven Burns Red x Angel Beats! crossover event will be written by Jun Maeda, who created Angel Beats!, as well as serving as creative lead for Heaven Burns Red. Released in February 2022, Heaven Burns Red was developed as a collaborative project between Wright Flyer Studios and Key for Key's 21st anniversary. It stars young women who can wield weapons called "Seraphs" against an alien enemy called "Cancer", and blends visual novel storytelling elements with 3D battles.

Angel Beats! was first released in 2010, as an anime series produced by ASCII Media Works. It featured writing from Jun Maeda, and involvement from members of Key in prominent positions such as character design and music composition. It's set in the afterlife, which takes the form of a Japanese high school. Yuzuru Otonashi, an amnesiac boy, wakes up in this afterlife, only to be recruited by Yuri Nakamura into the "SSS" (the "Shinda Sekai Sensen", or "Afterlife Battlefront"), a guerilla organization dedicated to rebelling against the unseen "God" that runs the afterlife. Representing God is the "Angel", another student who has supernatural powers, and who the SSS members attack regularly with hand-crafted weapons. The anime was adapted into a manga, and received its own visual novel version developed by Key in 2015.

Heaven Burns Red is available on iOS and Android devices in Japan. The Angel Beats! crossover event kicks off on February 10, 2023.

FFVII Remake Rude

In Final Fantasy VII, Rude isn't the leader of Shinra Company Special Investigative Unit The Turks, but he's the toughest and most powerful of them. A new post from the official account of the FFVII Remake dropped some concept art of the character, alongside some trivia about his encounter with Cloud Strife and Aerith Gainsborough in the game. Rude is voiced in English by William C. Stephens, who also voices Maine in Cyberpunk Edgerunners, Jax in Mortal Kombat 11, and Shiva in Shin Megami Tensei V. He's voiced in Japanese by Taiten Kusunoki, who voices Kamunabi in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Rock Bison in Tiger & Bunny, and Yodaka in Relayer.

https://twitter.com/FFVIIR_CLOUD/status/1622158094657798145

Check out the full-resolution pieces in the gallery.

[gallery columns="2" size="medium" ids="949759,949760" link="file"]

In the post, Rude is introduced "Turk No.1 in Toughness and Power". The post also elaborates on a mini-boss encounter that takes place in FFVII Remake, pitting Rude against Cloud and Aerith. According to the post, during his fight with Cloud and Aerith, Rude "recognizes" Cloud as "dangerous," since Cloud managed to defeat his partner Reno in combat earlier. However, Rude's orders did not include actually defeating Cloud, and as such the Turk was "only fighting at about 70 or 80 percent."

In FFVII Remake, Rude is seen in the Sector 5 Slums at the head of a Shinra search team pursuing Aerith. Cloud, who is acting as Aerith's bodyguard, is escorting her home after escaping the Sector 5 church, where Cloud fell after Avalanche's attempt to bomb Mako Reactor No.5. Cloud and Aerith encounter Rude blocking their way home, and Rude challenges the pair to a match. During the fight, the pair manage to break Rude's shades, after which he puts on a spare pair. Rude is then called away on urgent duty by Reno, and abandons the fight.

FFVII Remake is available on the PS4, PS5, and PC.

Sega Yoko Taro 404 gAme reset

NieR series creator Yoko Taro and Sega are working on a new game, and will announce it formally on Friday. The company uploaded a teaser trailer for the title to its YouTube channel, but an accidental upload of an incorrect version of the video revealed some details that were supposed to be revealed during the event on February 10, 2023. The details include Yoko Taro's involvement. Those who spotted the erroneous upload before it was taken down reported that the game is likely called 404 Game RE:SET (pronounced "Error Game Reset"). [Thanks Gematsu!]

Here's the corrected version of the teaser, which hides the game's title. The formal reveal will be accessible at this link on February 10, 2023 at 8:00 PM Japan Time.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXZR3CZC6HA

The teaser trailer for the new Sega and Yoko Taro title shows a smartphone falling from the sky towards the pavement. As it falls, the phone's entire home screen is taken over by Sega logos. Just before the phone hits the ground the screen flashes two messages in Japanese: "Create a bright future," followed by "---- Sega," where the hyphens are a pixelated kanji character that resolves into "Kill Sega." The phone hits the ground and sets off a digitizing wave that consumes the cities of Tokyo, New York, Taipei, and Paris, covering them in Sega logos and signage. Screaming crowds demand Sega, and before long, the entire world is converted to Sega's signature blue hue. The final shot of the trailer returns to the fallen phone, which flashes the schedule of the reveal, promising that "[We] have something to announce to the people on February 10, 2023 at 8:00 PM Japan time." The last sentence asserts that "The World Will Change" on February 10th.

The details about the game were to be kept secret if not for the leak of the wrong version of the trailer, which reveals the new Sega x Yoko Taro production to be 404 Game RE:SET. It's set for release on iOS and Android devices, and a pre-registration campaign will launch alongside the reveal. The campaign promises to deliver "10 gems" to all players upon the game's eventual launch.

If you've been holding off on the game until its full release, you'll no doubt be pleased to know that there are only two short months to go before the game can be played from start to finish, bringing its development to a close.
