Fifteen years after Jesse Eisenberg made Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg look like the socially awkward tech genius he is in director David Fincher's The Social Network, the film's writer, Aaron Sorkin, is back at it again. Deadline reports that Sorkin will write and direct The Social Network Part II, a follow-up to…
Today, some folks turned on their Xbox 360s to discover Microsoft has updated the aging device. The new update fixes an annoying issue bugging players for a bit now, but it also slaps two big ads on the home screen for Xbox's newest consoles.
In the history of feuds, "DC Studios fans vs. Marvel Studios fans" ranks above "Red Sox fans vs. Yankees fans" and slightly below "people who like pineapple on their pizzas vs. people with normal taste buds." Yet, behind the unanswerable debates over which brand of superheroes would reign supreme are simply comic-book…
The classic '90s TV showThe X-Files is coming back, but not via another so-so legacy season that everyone forgets about. Instead, the popular paranormal show is returning as an official Lego set, complete with aliens, flashlights, and a UFO.
I'm a game journalist, so it's safe to assume that I've plowed many, many hours into Slay the Spire. The seminal roguelike deckbuilder's influence is evident across countless games, from indie sensation Balatro to Hooded Horse's 9 Kings. Thanks to StS, the genre has swelled, and it now feels like I can't go 24 hours without a new roguelike deckbuilder hitting my inbox. Malys, however, is one of the few that caught my attention, partly because it's the brainchild of Dragon Age legend David Gaider, but also because its dark fantasy setting reminded me of my beloved Vampire: The Masquerade.
When the Resident Evil Requiem trailer premiered earlier this year at the Summer Games, I lost it! I am a massive fan of the franchise, to the extent that I am considering it for my next tattoo. So, naturally, the announcement got me wanting to shoot some zombos. I love the combination of psychological and grotesque body horror of Biohazard, but I feel that Resident Evil Village is the cream of the crop and the one I recommend playing first if you're new to the series or just wanting to catch up. Fortunately, it's 75% off over at Humble right now, making now a good time to add it to your library.
Working as a dispatcher in a call centre sounds like a rather mundane premise for a new strategy game. Sure, managing an increasing number of jobs and allocating the right amount of resources to attend each one could slot into a loose RTS or management sim framework, but it doesn't exactly fill you with excitement. That is unless you're dealing with a squad of superheroes. The upcoming Dispatch puts you in command of some spandex-wearing supers, sending them out to help citizens in need. Thanks to its unusual concept, stunning visuals, and a recent Steam Next Fest demo that blew players' socks off, it's now zoomed its way up the Steam wishlist charts.
As if people need a reminder that the enormously successful Minecraft Movie exists, Mojang has just released two new free items into Minecraft itself that commemorate two standout moments from the film. If you're a fan of the bestest boy there ever was, Dennis the pale wolf, or the lava chicken song is your highlight of its soundtrack, then these new items are certainly for you.
Today's lineup is stacked. Two big hits from the Lies of P series are on deep discount over at Fanatical, and there's a shiny preorder deal for Borderlands 4 with multiple editions up for grabs. If you're itching for fresh horror-laced action or chaotic looter-shooting, you're in luck. Use the FANATICAL15 code and you can scoop both Lies titles for under $26 each, which is downright criminal given how much content they pack in.
Episode 12 of Gundam GQuuuuuuX included an Endymion Unit Awakened form of the gMS-Ω GQuuuuuuX, and Bandai Namco confirmed a model kit of it is on the way. There's no word on exactly when it will debut. However, the company confirmed on social media that the Metal Robot Spirits version of the GQuuuuuuX will also now include parts for that form.
Editor's Note: There will be photos spoiling the appearance of the Gundam GQuuuuuuX Endymion Unit Awakened model kit and Metal Robot Spirits figures below.
In the case of the Gundam GQuuuuuuX model, it will be a HG 1/144 scale kit to build a figure. It seems to take cues from the kit already available worldwide. The announcement on social media mentioned more information would be shared in the near future, while included image said it is "coming soon."
Here's how that example image of the model will look:

As for the Metal Robot Spirits version of the gMS-Ω GQuuuuuuX, that will feature parts from Omega Psycommu System and the Endymion Unit Awakened from later parts of the anime. These parts are optional and can be swapped in or added on to change the appearance of the unit to match the look at the end of the series.
Some initial photos appeared to offer an update of how they'll look:

The Gundam GQuuuuuuX anime is streaming on Amazon, the Metal Robot Spirits figure will be out in August 2025, and the Endymion Unit Awakened model kit is in development.
The rereleases are identical to the original run, so don't expect any additional parts or face plates. The Knight comes with a standard cloak and one that looks like it's caught up in the wind. The Nail weapon is available to wield, and there's an effect part for its attacks. There's also a Knightling accessory. Likewise, Hornet comes with two cloak options, her Needle weapon, attack effects, and a Cogfly. Both come with special bases if purchased directly through Good Smile Company.
As a reminder, here's how those look:

There's still no Hollow Knight: Silksong release date window beyond 2025. It will be playable at the ACMI Game Worlds museum starting on September 18, 2025, plus the SteamDB reported changes to the product page, so the release is likely imminent.
The Hollow Knight Nendoroids of the Knight and Hornet will show up in Japan again in September 2025, followed by a worldwide release in Q1 2026. Pre-orders close on July 16, 2025. Hollow Knight: Silksong will come to the Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC
Brace Yourself Games and Coverannounced a Rift of the Necromancer crossover with Hololive Vtubers in the form of a DLC music pack with five members from the English and Japanese branches. The add-on costs $5.97 for all four tracks, and the Gawr Gura song "Reflect" is available for free. The statement noted the free add-on is intended to be a "chumbud send-off" for the performer who graduated in April 2025.
Each of the songs is available inEasy, Medium, Hard, and Impossible. When performing, Cadence appears on the left and the Hololive Vtuber shows up on the right. Here's the list of each track that appears as part of the crossover:
Cover Vtubers have played the game in the past. Hololive English Justice's Gigi Murin and Holostars Tempus' Josuiji Shinri both did so on-stream.
Here's the official trailer for the Rift of the Necrodancer Hololive Music Pack DLC that offers previews of each song in the pack.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCJnxaGIYUo
This is the second notable add-on to appear for the game in June 2025. The first involved Hatsune Miku songs. That included "Too Real" for free, then "Intergalactic Bound," "Just 1dB Louder," "Magical Cure: Love Shot," "MikuFiesta," and "Radiant Revival" as paid tracks. That pack is $7.45.
In case you missed it, here's how that sounds:

Rift of the Necrodancer is available for the Switch and PC, and the Hololive Music Pack DLC launched on June 25, 2025.
VShojo and General GEEGA both confirmed on social media that the Vtuber will leave the company on June 27, 2025. She will retain her IP, which she owned when she came to the company, and continue streaming. She also said that she'll still remain active and has more projects on the way.
Here is the brief VShojo statement the company issued online. It confirmed its official storefront will carry her items until the day she leaves the company. The 3D Debut, Inquisitor, and Hunt Week Merch Drop collections are there at the moment. Existing and purchases made ahead of her departure and its removal will still be shipped.
The GEEGA statement regarding her departure from VShojo is below. In it she expressed her love for her fellow Vtubers at the company and her manager at the company Kenzo. She confirmed she will continue to collab with those performers and considers them friends.
GEEGA took to her Twitch account on June 25, 2025, immediately after the announcement, to explain her decision. She noted that because she always worked fairly independently and did a lot of work on her own, that the arrangement didn't make sense for her. She noted that VShojo would get a cut of her merchandise and sponsorships profits as part of the contract, but because she would be so involved with her business it sounded like it didn't take as much off of her shoulders. She also said that her work with VShojo Vtubers functionally wasn't different from interacting with her friends at the company back when she was independent. She says that projects she was working on while at VShojo before this should go through unchanged, this is a business decision, and she doesn't expect anything will change for her and regarding her streams and direction going forward.
In the Twitch stream, GEEGA also noted that this is different from the Matara Kan departure. She stated that she decided she wanted to go solo again, then approached the company to make that decision. She said her renewal date would have been in August 2025, but she decided she wanted to leave before this. She also joked and said she "did not have dental" or a 401k when someone in the Twitch stream asked. She also said she didn't think anything changed on either her or VShojo's side, but said she "realized it wasn't the arrangement [she] wanted."
General GEEGA started as an indie Vtuber in February 2021, she joined VShojo in September 2023, and she will return to being an indie when she leaves the company on June 27, 2025.
Infold announced that the 4.0 Love and Deepspace update is on the way and, ahead of a Special Program showcase for it, confirmed that will involve a new theme song and Quality Time feature. The presentation will air on YouTube at 3:30am PT/6:30am ET June 27, 2025, and the new version will launch on July 3, 2025.
The new Love and Deepspace theme song for 4.0 hasn't been revealed yet. However, the company did share some details about it on social media ahead of the presentation. Angela Zhang will perform it. The title is "Witnessed by Deepspace." While it will be in-game, we'll get to listen to it online before then during its official June 29, 2025 debut.
In the past, Infold hired a number of notable performers to perform the Love and Deepspace theme songs. Sarah Brightman sings the primary one, which is called "Love and Deepspace." You can watch that one below:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MaIb80flR2U
Mikelangelo Loconte sang the 2.0 theme "Visions Opposees," which was written by Mozart, L'opéra Rock creators Dove Attia and Rod Janois.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxN0_w71KfU
Wu Bixia performed the 3.0 theme song "Cosmic Encounter." That version update also added Caleb as a love interest and a period tracker.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Md0ZHGunTeA
As for the new Quality Time Love and Deepspace feature, it seems it will involve a means of falling asleep alongside one of the chosen bachelors from the game. It will be called Drift into Dreams.
Love and Deepspace is available on mobile devices, and the 4.0 update arrives on July 3, 2025.
A new Hideo Kojima game has arrived, and that feels like an event in itself. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is here and it's an incredible progression and advancement from its predecessor, by all accounts.
I've been playing Death Stranding 2 on PS5 Pro, and it's a stunner. It's likely one of the best-looking games of this generation, if not ever, and the game has evolved from a gameplay and storytelling perspective, too.
Naturally, with a console exclusive looking this incredible from a graphics standpoint, PC gamers are wondering when they will get to flex their builds with this graphical behemoth without having to purchase or bust out a PS5 console to do so.
Here's everything we know so far about Death Stranding 2's PC release.
While there's no official confirmation yet, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will most likely be coming to PC at a later date. For the past several years, PlayStation exclusives have launched on PC some time after their console launch, so a PC launch for DS2 is a safe bet to continue this trend.
Other previous PS5 exclusives that launched on Steam over a year later include Stellar Blade, Marvel's Spider-Man, Returnal, God of War: Ragnarok, and others, while a game like Helldivers 2 bucked the trend and launched simultaneously on console and PC.
When will Death Stranding 2 come to PC?
Image via Kojima Productions
There's no current concrete timetable for Death Stranding 2 to launch on PC, but it will likely be at least a year after its PS5 launch. For example, Death Stranding launched on PS4 in November 2019, and it didn't come to Steam to launch on PC until March 2022.
Following trends of recent PS5 exclusives, we most likely won't see a PC launch of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach until summer 2026 at the earliest, but that could change at any time.
PlayStation has reiterated time and time again that it prefers its strategy of launching games exclusively on PlayStation and then bringing them to PC later on to capitalize on things like a "game of the year" edition, so DS2 will probably follow suit.
Stay tuned for official information from both PlayStation and Kojima Productions in the coming months about all future announcements about the PC version of DS2.
This article will be updated with new information whenever it becomes available.
Coralum is the latest metal to be added to Palworld as part of the Tides of Terraria update, and finding it can be a considerable challenge.
The game does not clearly explain where to find this item. You'll need it for the first time while preparing Coralum Ingots, which are, in turn, required for making advanced Ingots and Fishing Rods. Most of the ores are found in different parts of the world, and you have to mine and process them. Coralum, on the other hand, will require you to head to the oceans.
Coralum is present all around the islands but not on them. Instead, they can be found in the salvage floating on the ocean. You'll have to hook salvage from the ocean with the correct equipment. Then, it will all boil down to your luck, which determines what you get from a specific salvage.
Screenshot by Destructoid
To get salvage, you'll need a fishing rod and a magnet. Magnets unlock at level 60, so you'll have to clear endgame content before unlocking the required schematic.
There's an easier way to obtain this ore as well. For that, you'll have to catch either the Whalaska or the Whalaska Ignis Pals. Both of them are part of the new islands, so you'll have to head over and tame them. However, you should be at least level 50 before trying to tame them.
That's pretty much how you can obtain Coralum ore. Let's examine its uses.
Best ways to use Coralum in Palworld
Coralum has three primary uses.
Coralum Ingot (Coralum Ore x5, Ore x30, Coal x20)
Gumoss Beginner Fishing Rod (Paldium Fragment x20, Pal Fluids x6, Ingot x16, Fiber x16, Coralum Ore x3)
Croajiro Intermediate Fishing Rod (Paldium Fragment x60, High Quality Pal Oil x20, Cement x20, Fiber x60, Coralum Ore x10)
That's pretty much all you need to know about finding and utilizing Coralum in the game.

Everybody's Golf: Hot Shots brings the fan-favorite franchise to modern consoles under one unified name after a nearly decade-long hiatus. Ironheart creator Chinaka Hodge assuaged any fears newcomers to the Marvel Cinematic Universe may have by letting the world know you don't need to watch any of the previous Marvel movies to enjoy Ironheart. That's true—but if you're a Marvel diehard, you'll be excited to know the first three episodes of the new Disney…
Stalker 2 just received a big new update today that adds a ton of changes to the open-world shooter. But the bigger news, literally, is that developers GSC Game World have released the modding kit for Stalker 2 on PC, and folks, you are going to need to free up a lot of hard drive space. The modding tools require a…
Monster Hunter Wilds has two currencies for you to accumulate: Zenny and Guild Points. You're more likely to run low on the latter, especially when you're using the Rest mechanic to spawn in specific creatures. Still, it is possible to run out of Zenny if you're not hunting regularly or know which of the hundreds of…
The first time I heard RuPaul's voice introduce the Tiny Chef cooking show, starring a Gumbi-like green fur-ball that slobbers over his words like a St. Bernard chewing baseballs, I knew it was going to be something special. Less than three years and 41 episodes later it's been unexpectedly canceled by Nickelodeon,…
Usually, when Overwatch 2 accidentally patches in a bug, the team at Blizzard will remove a hero from ranked play for a bit while they sort out the issue. It's pretty uncommon for a bug to completely mess with the competitive balance of the game such that it affects all the characters in the shooter's roster, but…
Fantastic Four: First Steps is finally bringing the first family to the Marvel Cinematic Universe next month, and after several trailers I'm starting to wonder how much we'll actually see Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal) stretching his limbs as Mr. Fantastic. Dbrand's Killswitch case for the Switch 2 is lightweight, blends in well with the console, and feels good in your hands. It looks like Netflix is taking another huge step backward from its involvement in video games. It's been announced that a whopping 20 games are being removed from the service, including big names like Hades, and even Netflix exclusives like Monument Valley 3.

Although anyone familiar with the series knows why you should collect coins in Mario Kart World, those relatively new to the series probably don't have that coin-seeking muscle memory built up. The first time I saw Haste in action, I became instantly obsessed. Landfall's fast-paced platformer is a masterclass in speed and scale, and the type of game I easily lose track of time playing. If, like me, you're a fan of movement shooters and slick platformers, Haste is absolutely for you. Right now's the ideal time to jump in, too, as Landfall has just dropped co-op functionality for the game, meaning you can start flying across the screen with friends.

The Bushido update is out now, introducing large-scale town raids along with new features such as special structures and more versatile headwear.

When is the Dead by Daylight anniversary event 2025? Every year, to celebrate the original release date of the asymmetrical horror game, players are invited to a very twisted masquerade. This year is no different, and the annual anniversary event is back this June, though it does mark the last Dead By Daylight Twisted Masquerade ever.
During the Dead by Daylight ninth anniversary livestream on May 27, 2025, you might have been focused on the FNAF chapter details, but there was another ground-breaking announcement: this year's Twisted Masquerade is the last. We've been promised something new and exciting for the tenth anniversary of the horror game, but this year we need to make the most of Trixie and her bag of tricks while we still can. Here's everything we know about the Twisted Masquerade 2025.
If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. A new rumor has suggested that Intel is looking to replicate the success of AMD's groundbreaking 3D V-cache technology by adding similar functionality to some of its next-gen Nova Lake gaming CPUs, a move that could allow the chipmaker to offer seriously competitive gaming performance compared to AMD's best processors for the first time in years.
That would be seriously good news for Intel, which hasn't had the best few years. As our Intel Core Ultra 7 265K review shows, the company simply hasn't been able to compete against AMD to produce the best gaming CPU lately, even if its latest Arrow Lake CPUs have seen modest improvements since launch. Meanwhile, problems with older 13th and 14th-gen Intel CPUs, which sometimes suffer from catastrophic failures, have caused damage to the company's reputation, despite issuing CPU fixes later on.
When is the Silent Hill remake release date? The original Silent Hill is among the most difficult games to obtain these days. In fact, since it was removed from the PlayStation store on PS3 and Vita, the only way to get your hands on it now is to pay exorbitant prices for the physical disk or resort to the HD Collection version.
This won't change, but Bloober Team's upcoming Silent Hill remake at least gives fans a chance to revisit Harry Mason's story once more. Following the success of Bloober's Silent Hill 2 remake, we're sure there are also plenty of new series fans who can't wait to experience one of the best horror games for the first time. Whichever camp you fall into, here's what we know about the Silent Hill remake so far.
It's an open secret that I am deathly afraid of spiders. While smacking them around in games like Diablo and World of Warcraft has certainly helped, when one of those eight-legged demons appears in my flat, all hell breaks loose. So when I heard that the newest Warframe, the arachnid-inspired Oraxia, sports various insectoid legs and can effectively turn into a scrambling spider, I was pretty sure I'd be coming back for whatever update is afterIsleweaver. Then, I heard we're returning to Duviri to chase after 1999's much-beloved Major Rosalka, and decided that it was time to put my fears aside and dive back into the weird, fantasy-inspired world that introduced me to Warframe in the first place.
Stalker 2 presents you with one of the most unforgiving videogame environments ever made. The Zone is closed off and decrepit, but also filled with plenty of danger. Whether it's mercenaries, mutated animals, traps, or scientific anomalies, the world really is out to get you. With new weapons, system revamps, and further improvements to the A-Life system, however, the newest Stalker 2 update gives you more ways to fend off the horrors.
What are all the Borderlands 4 legendary weapons so far? Fortunately, Gearbox has confirmed that legendaries are rarer and harder to obtain in Borderlands 4, making them feel well earned when encountering a tough boss fight or randomly stumbling on them thanks to sheer luck.
Both Borderlands 2 and Borderlands 3 had a tricky time with finding the right balance when it came to legendary loot, and although there are some returning fan favorites, it's the new inventions we're most looking forward to getting our hands on in Borderlands 4. As the Borderlands 4 release date approaches, we've already seen some of the legendary weapons coming to the looter shooter.
Who are the latest Fortnite NPCs? Fortnite NPC locations change with every new season, much like everything else, with more added throughout the season as well. This makes it difficult to keep track of the latest NPC locations. That's where we come in.
There are a few reasons you might want to find a Fortnite NPC location in the battle royale game. You can hire Fortnite NPCs for a helping hand, get a rift out of the storm, or buy some of the best Fortnite weapons and items. There are often new hostile Fortnite NPCs to defeat as well, but if you're looking for someone a little more friendly, we have every NPC location marked on the Fortnite map, as well as a list of all of the special items or services you can buy in Chapter 6, Season 4.
The Lost Ark June update is here, and it introduces a new location to the free-to-play Amazon Games MMORPG, along with some extra story following on from its newest raid. The patch also makes several previous raids easier, with difficulty nerfs and the introduction of a resurrection system, and introduces a style book that helps you manage your character customization. It's the latest in an ongoing series of changes as Amazon attempts to spice things up in an attempt to win players back.
What are the Palworld map locations? Pocketpair's peculiar Poké-like takes place on Palpagos Island, a tropical paradise full of critters just waiting to be caught and put to work. If you're looking to survive the wilds, then you need a strong sense of direction – or a good map of all the locations and areas in the region. Thankfully, we can help you with the latter.
Pocketpair has confirmed the Palworld map size is approximately 16 square kilometers, but Palpagos Island has already begun to expand further following the Sakurajima update. Our quest to catch all Palworld Pals is set to take us through active volcanoes, mystical ice caves, and expansive woodland areas in the open-world game. It appears Asus has inadvertently released a hybrid graphics card into the wild after a Redditor unboxed their Micro Center exchange, only to discover an AMD Radeon RTX 9070 XT graphics card with both AMD and Nvidia branding. How could this happen? Well, it could be due to one simple mistake.
The AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT is the top choice on our guide to the best graphics card, but finding "GeForce RTX" written down the side is certainly not the crossover we were expecting to see. We expect the anomalous Asus card will perform exactly the same as a standard Radeon RX 9070 XT, but the branding mix-up adds bonus charm to one of our favorite cards.
The enigma of when we'll get to play Hollow Knight Silksong might feel agonizing, but to me it's an opportunity. There are some incredibly strong 2D Metroidvania games that have arrived in recent years, and the next one I have my eye on is Fallen Tear: The Ascension. Built by Winter Crew Studios and published by CMD Studios, it features a JRPG-style party system that delivers combat assists, a vast, sprawling world to explore, and even a soundtrack featuring the work of Dark Souls and Golden Sun composer Motoi Sakuraba. In even better news, there's a new demo you can try now.
Getting great performance out of Marvel Rivals on PC is a simple task, thanks to this game's comprehensive graphical settings menus, as well as its use of an art style that lends itself well to performing on older gaming PCs. Still, we can guide you toward the best Marvel Rivals settings for PC and Steam Deck as an alternative to the trial-and-error process.
The Marvel Rivals system requirements show a considerable gap between the minimum and recommended hardware, but both tiers still involve modest hardware from a good few years ago. Even if you want to run the game at its recommended settings, you won't need the very best graphics card to get it running at a solid 60fps frame rate at 1080p or 1440p.
Marvel Rivals is quite simple to run, much like other hero shooters on the market. Better yet, even older laptops and desktop gaming PCs should have no issues meeting the Marvel Rivals system requirements and getting great performance out of the game.
You won't need to buy the very best graphics card to meet the Marvel Rivals system requirements on PC, and good performance isn't difficult to attain so long as you're not also looking for the highest quality visuals. In fact, you can see how simple it is by following our best Marvel Rivals settings guide for PC and Steam Deck.
With pushbacks, missed deadlines, and a long period of radio silence, more than a few questions loom large over Ark 2. An ambitious sequel to Ark Survival Evolved and its enhanced remaster, Survival Ascended, its most recent release window came and went without any new information emerging. However, speaking exclusively to PCGamesN, Studio Wildcard has revealed what's been going on with Ark 2, its current status, and a rough timeline for when it hopes to get it in your hands.
What are the Zenless Zone Zero banners? If you're looking to expand your roster of playable agents, then wishing on banners is your best bet. These digital gacha machines form the basis of developer HoYoverse's monetization strategy, and they should be instantly familiar to anyone who's dipped into Genshin Impact or Honkai Star Rail.

Banners rotate regularly, so it's important to think strategically about whether to spend your ZZZ Polychrome on the current banner, or hold off until the next one. The ZZZ 2.0 banners include brand-new agents that can shake-up your Zenless Zone Zero team comps, so get set to start spending in HoYoverse's urban gacha game. Here's who you can pull in Zenless Zone Zero banners.
A work-in-progress version of Dune: Awakening's first big post-release patch is now testable on Steam, so you can hop in and check out the changes Funcom's making early doors before it rolls out for everyone in a few weeks.
A bunch of the changes the game's devs teased or confirmed during their recent AMA and letter to players haven't found their way into the patch, or at least this early version. Though, you'll at least be able to try out PvE in the Deep Desert, something folks have demanded en-masse.
Team Fortress 2's Mann vs Machine mode will soon receive a "much-needed update", developers Valve have announced in a whimsical blog post. Both the blog post and the venerable bot-fighting mode itself are a throwback to a kinder age, before genAI started eating everybody's lunch together with imagery, sounds and written descriptions of everybody eating their lunch.
Yesterday's launch of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 laptop GPU was quiet, yet nonetheless featured a surprise: there's also a desktop version of the RTX 5050, set to release (exclusively in third-party garb – there's no Founders Edition) in "the second half" of July. Quite the turnaround for the non-laptop XX50 lineage, which was widely assumed extinguished following 2022's RTX 3050.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has a sizeable game update that promises to finally get the game's A-Life system working as intended. For those just joining us - perhaps because you only popped into existence the second you entered my field of view - A-Life is developer GSC Game World's noughties-era buzzword for the pervasive simulation of NPCs throughout the open world, leading to unpredictable interactions and conflicts and the general sense that things are happening without your input.
The screen's gone black. There's a little loading bar in the top right hand corner, and occasionally the darkness gives way to momentary visions of a chrome body shell floating in limbo, accompanied by a low robotic whirr.
I've overcooked it, just a little bit.
Suddenly my view of the car comes back. It's jiggling about, blurrily textured as though it's travelling at the speed of light, between an empty void of sky and a featureless brown-ish disc. My futuristic phone rings.
Elden Ring Nightreign's next Enhanced boss is Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow, developers From Software have confirmed. You'll be able to get your teeth into him from June 26th at 4pm Central European Summer Time, 7am Pacific Daylight Time, or 11pm Japan Standard Time.
These timezone distinctions are meaningless, of course, because there is only one timezone in which Fulghor operates, and that timezone is Butt Kicking Time. He's one of the co-op RPG's harder scraps, and he'll be all the worse for being Enhanced.
Back when Matt Nava was art director for glistering mountain pilgrimage Journey, he and his colleagues at thatgamescompany took a research expedition to California's Pismo beach, a swathe of desert that rolls right up to the Pacific Ocean. The spectacle of land and ocean overlapping did a number on Nava. "It looks like the dunes of the Sahara, you know, these massive sand dunes," he tells me. "But it's a beach, and so the ocean is right there. And it's amazing visually, because you have the waves of the ocean, and you have these sand dunes, which are wave shapes, and it's so easy to imagine them moving just like the ocean."
Bandai Namco's Banpresto social media account announced that a Hatsune Miku figure will be part of the Banpresto Evolve line. It will debut in December 2025 as a prize figure. Before its launch, a prototype will appear at the Ikebukuro GiGO starting on July 1, 2025. Based on the initial imagery shown in the Banpresto announcement, this item will be based on the official art for the official December 2024 metaverse collaboration event.
Here's the official art revealed alongside the announcement for the new 45th anniversary project. It features Hatsune Miku in a blue and white military uniform with black belt, white shirts, and gold and red accents in front of a RX-78-02 Gundam. She's also holding a microphone. This suggests the figure could resemble that same image.

This is one of multiple Hatsune Miku Gundam crossover figures and items on the way. Another Lucrea line figures are being prepared by Megahouse and Bandai Namco. While this newly announced one will be in crane games, that Megahouse ones will be more expensive items sold in stores. One will be based on Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz's Wing Gundam Zero, and the other will be tied to Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and feature a Haro.
Atlus announced that it is now selling both new Persona 4 Golden plush character keychains, with Tohru Adachi and Nanako Dojima among the designs. These are on Ebten, which ships worldwide through WorldShopping, and stores like AmiAmi are also offering them. These cost 1,760円 (~$12), and they'll ship in November 2025.
Each of these Persona 4 Golden plush keychains are about 11cm tall (110mm), regardless of how tall characters are in the game, so Nanako is the same size as Adachi. In the case of characters who are old enough to be in school, they wear their uniforms. So that applies to Kanji Tatsumi, Naoto Shirogane, and Rise Kujikawa are all dressed for school. Adachi is in his suit he wears for work, while Nanako wears her trademark red and pink dress. Teddy appears in his bear mascot form.
As for the returning characters, they're all wearing their school uniforms. The protagonist, Chie Satonaka, Yukiko Amagi, and Yosuke Hanamura are all ready for class. The last time we saw them was in October 2024.
Here's a closer look at all the designs:

The Persona 4 Golden Adachi, Kanji, Nanako, Naoto, Rise, and Teddy plush keychains will debut alongside rereleases of the protagonist, Chie, Yukiko, and Yosuke ones in Japan in November 2025. Cygames announced on social media that it is now possible to preload download the client for Umamusume: Pretty Derby on PC via Steam, Android devices via Google Play, and Apple iOS devices via App Store. This is ahead of the full debut on June 26, 2025. There are also two concert short videos of "Make Debut" and "Winning the Soul" ahead of the launch to celebrate the global release, and new trailers introduced Gold Ship, Mayano Top Gun, and Super Creek.
In terms of the Umamusume: Pretty Derby preload, the download is available for all devices. Depending on your region, it might be possible to start playing later on the evening of June 25, 2025. Cygames did note that Android 16 devices might experiencing an issue keeping the game from working, but it is aware of the issue and working on it.
In the case of the concerts, the horsegirls in Umamusume: Pretty Derby act as idols in addition to racers, so these hint at that other side of the characters' natures. "Winning the Soul" is a winning concert song. Its sample video is the shorter of the two and only lasts 45 seconds.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60qtuyy7xjs
The other winning concert video is longer and offers a better example of what a performance from the characters looks like. "Make Debut" lasts over two minutes.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4kgHAp-HLo
As for the latest character trailers, they offer voice actress examples and game footage samples again. First, here's the Super Creek one. She's not associated with any particular team, though she's known for being close to Narita Taishin and Oguri Cap.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1oWwNymd8w
Mayano Top Gun also isn't associated with any particular team, though she is known to be close to Tokai Teio. Also, due to her name, she was used as part of the promotions for Top Gun: Maverick in Japan.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHqj_sh_1ws
Gold Ship is the most famous character from the batch of the three most recent trailers. She's part of Team Spica alongside Special Week, Silence Shizuka, Meijiro McQueen, and Tokai Teio. She is also known for hosting Paka Tube.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby preload is available so people can download the game ahead of its official PC, Android, and Apple iOS debut on June 26, 2025. Cygames will appear at Anime Expo 2025 in July 2025 with the game.
Takara Tomy announced it will release a collection of PlayStation controller keychains for gacha machines in Japan, and it will focus on the PS5 DualSense. They will show up in capsule machines starting in late July 2025. A try will cost 300円 (~$2) and, as usual, which one you get will be up to chance.
This selection features six designs. Each one of the PS5 DualSense keychains will depict the PlayStation controller in a different color. The options will be Cosmic Red, Galactic Purple, Midnight Black, Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and White. All of these still appear as actual color options through Sony. There is translucent plastic over the buttons to increase the resemblance. Each one has a ball-chain keychain at the top. They are each about 4cm (40mm).
Here's a closer look at the six designs someone might get.

This isn't the only kind of PlayStation controller keychain coming to gachapon machines in Japan, as another set showed up in capsule machines and included a PS5 DualSense. Bandai Namco released its own collection. That debuted in May 2025. It featured five designs based on PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, and PS5 ones. Each also played startup sounds from their respective consoles when a button would be pushed.
The Takara Tomy PS5 DualSense controller keychains will appear in gachapon machines in Japan in late July 2025. Since these aren't Bandai Namco-made, we probably won't see them in any of that company's gashapon machines and storefronts in the US and Canada.
Sony is celebrating the 15th anniversary of PlayStation Plus in July 2025 and, as a result, big-name games like DIablo IV and KOF XV will be available. Those will show up on July 1, 2025. However, in honor of the occasion, there will also be an Online Multiplayer Weekend for all PS4 and PS5 users between June 28-29, 2025.
Both Diablo IV and KOF XV will be available as both PS4 and PS5 PlayStation Plus games in July 2025. The former is an action-RPG with an overhead perspective that involves creating a character, then heading out on a journey to deal with demons and other enemies. As you do, you'll gather all kinds of loot. Seasons also add new challenges and gear opportunities. As for KOF XV, it's the latest SNK fighter in the series that prioritizes 3v3 matches and a wide array of new and returning cast members.
The sole PS5-only game available during next month is Jusant. It is an adventure game about climbing a tower. You need to manage your stamina and make smart choices to get past tricky situations and reach the top.
As for the Online Multiplayer Weekend, that means PS4 and PS5 players don't need PlayStation Plus to play games online for two days. Typically, you need at least the base membership to make that happen. Sony noted this starts at 12:01am local time in each region on June 28, 2025. Then at 11:59pm local time on June 29, 2025, it ends.
The July 2025 PlayStation Plus games will be available to subscribers between July 1, 2025 and August 4, 2025.
Voltage is a company well known for its otome games, but it's really stepped things up with AmuLit's Even if Tempestand The Red Bell's Lament. While both titles are marked by some minor translation issues and hiccups at launch that, as we've seen in the past, ended up remedied by patches, they're also notable for their strong leads, impressive stories, and captivating characters. This latest piece is yet another example of the good the company is doing for the genre, even if it is annoying to sometimes upon some Japanese text that got left in or some absent text.
Vampires invested Hemeria, with various types killing humans and even inspiring cults that see their appearance as some sort of divine sign. Juliet Rose became a hunter after her village was attacked and her family killed. She's so skilled that she's a member of Elpis 7, the seven most notable ones in the country capable of even the most terrifying "aristos" class of the creatures that resembles humans. After getting a mysterious summons, she finds all legends gathered in one place for a rescue mission. Following Prince Roderick Lancaster being abducted by vampires and taken to their home realm of Nyx, Hemeria Royal Order Commander Garrett Welkin formed a new Elpis 8 group, which includes him, for a rescue mission heading into that other world for the first time.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WU-s4o2eaqs
Like other AmuLit otome, The Red Bell's Lament prioritizes the narrative and tells a dark story with plenty of potential for bad ends. There is some romance, but it really prioritizes action, drama, and even thriller elements. I'd say if you appreciate the Bustafellows and Even if Tempest approaches to prioritizing the story and including an occasional romantic moment, this is the type of Voltage otome game you'd enjoy. However, since romance isn't prioritized as heavily, those story beats fall on the backburner in favor of character development, worldbuilding, and setting up genuinely surprising twists.
The approach to romance means the "route" system is executed in a different sort of way in this Voltage otome game. The Red Bell's Lament instead integrates everything into one storyline, which makes the included flowchart especially invaluable. As you're going through the Nyx rescue mission, the decisions you make when going through Missions and choices you select affect possible endings. Given the number of unfortunate endings and range of better ones, as well as the need to collect Elgan Crowns to unlock things like a Special Story, it's a genuinely invaluable asset. That, paired with a quality of life feature that brings you to branching points if you do make a selection that sends you to an early bad ending, keeps things from getting frustrating. For those more familiar with traditional visual novels with assigned routes it might be a bit tricky get accustomed to prioritizing certain choices and actions that might not even seem tied to people, but I genuinely appreciate this approach to storytelling in otome games more.
Screenshots by Siliconera
While The Red Bell's Lament is primarily a visual novel, there are segments that can be a bit more active. During these Mission moments, you'll find yourself in a space in which you move a piece around a board to trigger certain events, get Elgan Crowns, and reach the "finish." This always involves performing actions within a set number of moves. It's never especially challenging, but some situations might involve some thought to reach everything you should see. Again, I enjoyed the inclusion, as it does fit with the theme of things and adds a little more interaction.
There are some times when the script might feel a bit uneven. The voice acting and casting is absolutely sublime. The general story is wonderful once you get into Nyx, with really solid character development for every cast member. Even people who aren't romance options feel pretty well developed. However, there are times when the localization might read a little awkwardly. It isn't a situation which reads like a AI translation programs ended up being used. Rather, some phrasing felt weird when I went through the story. An easy example with absolutely no spoilers is Juliet telling Asher at one point, "I guess this means we're free to do as we please for the next while." It sticks out when there are moments handled well, especially when considering different manners of speaking that might be more formal, like Rhodes', or relaxed, like Jack's.
Screenshots by Siliconera
Some awkward wording aside, the only real issues I noticed in The Red Bell's Lament involves some bugs and instances when untranslated text didn't make it into the game. I happened upon one choice in a cafe that didn't involve actual responses, so I needed to… guess? There are times when labels or options will feature the original Japanese instead of localized text. I did run into one instance in which the game crashed when going through a Game 3 mission on the original Switch. However, after loading the virtual game card on the Switch 2 I noticed I didn't experience that issue (or any other bugs). I'm going to give Voltage the benefit of the doubt here, as the company already noted it is aware of the issues and did patch Even if Tempest when it experienced problems at launch. Just know that at the moment, there will be rare instances where everything isn't at its best until a patch or two appear.
The Red Bell's Lament is another example of Voltage offering a great otome game that feels different than what we'd expect due to its execution and story. It can be a little light on the romance, but there's a strong narrative with genuine surprises and fantastic character development. It does feature some flaws at launch, both in terms of some missing translations and actual bugs that might cause issues with progression. However, I'm pretty confident the will be fixed, especially since Voltage made a statement, and result in this being one of the more interesting otome games on the Switch. Once a patch does appear, I think I'd consider it a must-buy for fans of the genre.
The Red Bell's Lament is available on the Nintendo Switch.

Marvel Rivals is about to ramp up its hero release schedule in a big way starting in July 2025.
With season three, the hero shooter from NetEase Games is going to begin releasing a new hero every single month. If that sounds daunting, it's because it absolutely is for any live-service game maker, and it will be very interesting to see how the developer handles Marvel Rivals' balancing moving forward.
Screenshot by Destructoid
There's no shortage of heroes for Marvel Rivals to potentially add into the game. The Marvel universe has literally hundreds of characters to choose from, and with a new hero coming each month starting on July 11, they will be coming fast and hard.
After Ultron launched at the end of May, there are already 39 playable characters in the game, just about seven months after launch, but there are even more that are coming and have been previously data mined.
Here's a short, non-exhaustive list of just some of the heroes who have been found within the files and could be coming soon:
Deadpool
Professor X
Rogue
Colossus
Jean Grey/Phoenix
Cyclops
Captain Marvel
Angela
Armor
Daredevil
Forge
Nightcrawler
Jubilee
Gambit
White Fox
The Hood
And so I ask you, Marvel Rivals gamers, who from this list do you hope to see next? Who do you want to see, even if they're not on the list, and what role (Vanguard/Duelist/Strategist) do you think they fit best into?
Keep in mind that the in-game lore is heavily hinting at Jean Grey/Phoenix arriving in season three, and we've already seen Blade, who recently woke up from his season-long slumber and is likely coming soon. But who else would you want to see soon? Let us know in the comments and poll below.
Team Fortress 2 has been neglected by Valve for years, its last major update releasing nearly eight years ago in 2017. Aside from the occasional technical updates and small community content inclusions, TF2 hasn't seen much new stuff since Jungle Inferno, but that is perhaps about to change.
In a strange, barely understandable but nonetheless in-character blog post, Valve announced a new major update for the game's co-op vs. AI game mode, Mann vs. Machine.
The devs made the announcement indirectly, via a short story, asking players to submit their own custom-made maps and missions to Valve by Aug. 27 so they would be included in the update. Later on in the story, via a tale of Ancient Greece and stone tablets, Valve also indicated a second part of the update would arrive by Halloween, and that submissions shouldn't all be Halloween-themed (TF2 has been getting generally just minor Halloween updates over the years and not much else).
This new update is worthy of joy, no matter how "original" it turns out to be. Screenshot via teamfortress YouTube Channel
So, given how the story reads, this new Mann vs. Machine update could entail a mix of a ton of community-made content (but actual content, like maps and missions, not skins and hats) and original stuff created by Valve itself, to be implemented into the game in two batches.
This would mark nearly 12 years since the last substantial update to Mann vs. Machine and some eight years since some proper original, operation-sized content was added to Team Fortress 2 itself. The game has been drier than gunpowder for a long, long time, and Valve seems finally inclined to reinvigorate its classic 2007 title (yes, it's been nearly 20 years since Team Fortress 2 came out).
It could also be an inauguration of something greater. If this new update isn't entirely composed of community-made additions and Valve actually puts in the extra effort to make it more original than not, we could be seeing the first of many content updates in Team Fortress 2, a game that refuses to die and dwindle despite all the negligence.
Or, well, it could just be the one janitor at Valve trying to patch something up from what the community gives him, giving us false hope that TF2 is on its way up from the pits.
Fishing is one of several new additions in Palworld that will allow you to increase the count of Aqua Pals in your collection.
Added as part of the Tides of Terraria update, fishing isn't directly related to the collab. Instead, it has been added to the list of core activities that you can complete in the game. In fact, you can also assign a Pal to fish for you. But let's first check out how you can fish inside the game.
How to fish in Palworld
To fish in the game, you'll need to have a Fishing Rod set. Here are the different types available in the Technology tree.
Beginner Fishing Set
Intermediate Fishing Rod
Advanced Fishing Rod
I have also added the technology level and individual ingredients of all the recipes.
Item

Advanced Fishing Rod
45
Paldium Fragment x70 High Quality Pal Oil x20 Pal Metal Ingot x15 Carbon Fiber x30
Next, you're going to need bait. So far, I haven't found a natural spot where you can fish without it. There are four types of baits available in the current version:
Simple Bait
High Quality Bait
Deluxe Bait
Alluring Bait
Screenshot by Destructoid
Baits of higher rarity will have better chances of grabbing the rarer Pals, but you'll also require more ingredients.
Once you've added the Fishing Rod and bait to your inventory, you're all set for fishing. First, move the rod to your equipment slot (just like you would for your pickaxe or gun).
Screenshot by Destructoid
Press your RT/RMB to aim and shoot the fishing line.
Wait until a fish takes the bait. A meter will appear on your screen after a double exclamation mark.
The fish (represented by a symbol) will be moving either right or left on the meter. You'll have to press the buttons accordingly to match the fish's movement.
As you keep the fish's symbol within your bar, you'll gain progress until you successfully catch it. (If you ever played Fisch on Roblox, this will be extremely familiar.)
That's pretty much all you have to do to become an expert angler in Palworld.
After meeting the many objects you can bring to life around your home in Date Everything!, you may be wondering if there's a way to give these characters more rather than leaving them stuck as static items. Luckily, you can use Realization Recipes to truly bring them to life.
The Realization Recipe system isn't explained very well, and is a fairly complex process to solve. Knowing all of the requirements for it makes it much easier to master, so here are all theRealization Recipes you need in Date Everything!.
Every Dateable has a unique Realization Recipe in Date Everything!, so you need to learn what each character values to successfully Realize all of them and finish the game. Here is every Realization Recipe needed for all characters you can meet around your house.
Realization Recipes are the SPECS stats you need to bring a character to life. Once you have the required stats and have sufficiently gotten to know a character, the option to Realize them will appear when you talk to them.
Realizing a character causes them to leave the house for good, so be sure you're fully done interacting with them before you choose to do so. You can Realize characters in just about any order you want, but be sure to save Skylar Specs for last, since Realizing her immediately ends the game.
The Little Nightmares series is back with a third installment officially slated for launch in 2025. If you're eager to explore what's next for this series, you'll want to know exactly when Little Nightmares 3 is releasing.
It's time to return to Nowhere, but with two new faces to guide your way forward. Low and Alone are the main characters in this one, and although they're new, the setting is familiar if you've played the past games in this series. To ensure you're ready to start playing as soon as possible, here's the exact time and date when Little Nightmares 3 will be released.
Little Nightmares 3 officially launches on Oct. 10, 2025. This release date was unveiled on June 24 with the "Little Nightmares III – You're in for a Ride" trailer. The announcement is hidden near the end of the trailer among several other reveals, so it's easy to miss.
It was originally slated for release back in 2024 after being initially revealed in 2023. Little Nightmares 3 was then delayed to 2025 with an announcement that was shared on May 31, 2024. Now, an official release date is set, and it's confirmed for launch just before Halloween.
A precise launch time hasn't been shared so far, so we've set our countdown to 12am CT on Oct. 10 for now. On Steam, it says Little Nightmares 3 comes out on Oct. 9, so a midnight launch currently seems like the most probable time based on this. We'll likely learn more about the launch time once the release date is closer, though, so check back here for the latest updates so you can dive into exploring Nowhere as soon as it's available.

Can you pre-order Little Nightmares 3?
Yes, you can already pre-order Little Nightmares 3. So far, it's already available for pre-order on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, but additional platforms are expected to follow soon.
Little Nightmares 3 platforms
On launch day, Little Nightmares 3 will be available across a wide variety of platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
What is Little Nightmares 3 about?
Screenshot by Destructoid
Little Nightmares 3 follows two childhood best friends by the names of Low and Alone as they search for a way out of a strange world called Nowhere. Low wields a bow while Alone carries a wrench, meaning you must work together to progress, as certain situations call for each of these specific items.
It's a co-op puzzle game with survival elements, but you can also team up with AI to work through it if you don't have someone willing to traverse this nightmare world and confront childhood fears with you. Horrifying monsters are waiting behind every corner, and ó you must work together to solve complex puzzles, so teamwork is crucial for your success.
Achievement hunting in PEAK is a blast. While some require you to complete the game, others, like the Gourmand Badge, ask you to eat various foods so you can experience the joys of eating while fighting for survival. One such food you'll need is a honeycomb.
Honeycomb drop from beehives in PEAK. As you progress through the game, you'll find a forest level that spawns beehives within trees. Grabbing one of these and throwing it onto the ground will break it open, giving you several honeycombs to eat or share with friends.
Screenshot by Destructoid
If you get your hands on a honeycomb, you can eat it to restore your hunger and gain a large stamina boost. At the very least, the effort you put into obtaining is rewarding, making it easier to climb through the Tropics without relying too much on energy drinks and food. It's also part of the Gourmand Badge, bringing you one step closer to completing all of PEAK's Steam achievements.
How to find Beehives in PEAK
Beehives spawn exclusively in the Tropics. The Tropics is PEAK's second level after completing the Shore, letting you go from a sandy beach to a lush forest full of vines, foliage, and tons of trees. Within a couple of these trees are beehives you can obtain and break open.
Screenshot by Destructoid
However, beehives aren't completely safe. They're high up in trees, requiring you to climb up them or use a rope to gain some height, and are surrounded by bees that'll do everything in their power to punish you for stealing their home. Getting hit by these bees poisons you, depleting your stamina and putting you at risk of fainting if you're already low from excess item weight or low hunger.
The exact location of these beehives varies from map to map. Since PEAK's maps reset daily, you won't find them in the same spot during every run. They have static spawns on their given map, though, letting you return to that location later in the day if your run ends before you reach the final level. Having a compass on hand can help you pinpoint its location for future runs if needed, but you can also make a mental note or ask a friend to remember it.
How to deal with bees in PEAK
The trickiest part of obtaining a beehive is climbing up a tree and grabbing it before bees bombard you. More often than not, you'll get at least one sting, inflicting a small amount of poison damage that the honeycomb will easily offset. Fortunately, you can escape these bees to avoid additional damage.
Once you approach and pick up a beehive, the bees surrounding it will immediately chase you. They'll attack you upon contact and continue flying toward you if you're within their radius. As long as you can run away and get out of this radius, you can escape them, causing them to disperse behind you for the rest of the level.
Every Shovel in Roblox Dig comes with its own stats, strengths, and weaknesses. If you really want to mid-max what your Shovel can do, then you're going to need some Enchanting. This works similarly to Roblox Fisch, but it's a bit more annoying. We'll tell you all you need to know about Enchanting your Shovels in this Roblox Dig Enchant Guide.
Where to enchant in Roblox Dig
Screenshot by Destructoid
You can enchant items inside Cinder Cavern. The entrance to this cave is just next to Rooftop Woodlands and across from Verdant Vale (refer to the map if you're having trouble finding it). Before you head inside, we highly recommend having a car, preferably a fast one. It's also a good idea to have an Emergency Flare, so you can get out of the cave faster. Don't forget to bring a couple of Enchant Tomes, otherwise, you won't be doing much enchantments.

Head inside the cave (in your car) and head all the way to the very end, and you should see a couple of NPCs standing next to an elevator. Pay the foreman $1,000 and he will let you use the elevator to the lower level of the mine. Drive the car onto the elevator and wait for the timer to reach zero, then the elevator will descend.
Once you arrive at the lower level of the cave, you'll be in the cave maze. It's really easy to get lost here, so here's what you need to do: Follow the blue glowing mushrooms! As long as you follow the trail of mushrooms and ignore all other rooms, you should arrive at the Enchantment room (which is also an underground city for mushroom people). You'll know you're near when you have to exit the climb over a few rocks until you see giant blue glowing mushrooms. Follow this path, and you'll be there in no time.

Inside the underground mushroom city, find the Enchantment portal. Equip the Shovel you want to enchant and hold out an Enchantment Tome. Interact with the pedestal and you'll receive one of the many random enchantments.
We're still figuring out which enchantments are possible in the game, but rest assured, we'll have a guide for that soon. Once you have your enchantment, use your Emergency Flare to leave the cave. If you don't have one, you'll need to go back the long way.
That's all there is to it. Have fun enchanting your Shovels in Roblox Dig. If you need help fighting bosses in Roblox Dig, check out our Roblox Dig Boss Guide.
PEAK is a difficult game. Although its first two difficulties are relatively simple once you learn the game's mechanics, later options can pose a challenge. They go beyond changes to your stamina, adding some unexpected twists that require specific strategies to counter.
When you first start playing PEAK, you'll have two difficulty options to choose from. After completing the game on its default difficulty, you'll unlock a third option, with subsequent settings available afterwards.
Let's check out each difficulty option, including its unlock requirements and features.
Tenderfoot

Climbing takes less stamina.
Hunger grows more slowly.
No time limit.
PEAK's first difficulty, Tenderfoot, is easier than the game's default option in every way. It's ideal for new players who are trying to learn the game. You won't be able to unlock any new difficulties with this one, though.

The game's default difficulty.
You won't receive any major buffs, nerfs, or challenges with the game's default difficulty, Peak. If you want to unlock more difficulties, this is the one you need to choose and complete.
If you'd like to check out some tips on beating Peak difficulty and unlocking your first Ascent, check out our complete PEAK level guide, including some tips on how to complete them.
Ascent 1

Complete "Peak" difficulty to unlock Ascent 1
Increased fall damage.
It's much easier to take fall damage.
After completing PEAK on its Peak difficulty, you'll unlock Ascent 1, which makes falls much more lethal. While the previous two difficulties have some leniency with how far you can fall before taking damage, this one will punish you even if you have a slight tumble or jump off a ledge that's just a little too high. Watch your step during this one.
From this point forward, every Ascent will include the debuffs of the previous option. If you haven't yet, start taking advantage of PEAK's items, especially legendary options, as these can completely change the outcome of your playthroughs.
Ascent 2

All previous difficulty effects.
You'll become hungry faster.
Ascent 2 focuses on hunger. As you travel through each level, your hunger will drain much faster, requiring you to eat more food to manage your stamina.
Ascent 3

Complete "Ascent 2" difficulty to unlock Ascent 3
All previous difficulty effects.
Every item you pick up will have increased weight.
The next option is Ascent 3, which focuses on item weight. On top of more fall damage and hunger debuffs, any item you carry will have increased weight, limiting your stamina much more than usual.
Ascent 4

Complete "Ascent 3" difficulty to unlock Ascent 4
All previous difficulty effects.
Flares no longer spawn at The Peak, requiring you to pick one up at the Shore's crash site, inside luggage, or at campfires.
Ascent 4 is unique. This time, the flares that normally appear at the game's end won't be there anymore, requiring you to either pick one up at the Shore's plane crash site or find out throughout your travels. Without it, you won't be able to finish this part of PEAK's story, preventing you from unlocking additional difficulty options.
Ascent 5

Complete "Ascent 4" difficulty to unlock Ascent 5
All previous difficulty effects.
You'll become cold during the night.
If you didn't like the cold effects of Alpine, you won't like this Ascent. In this difficulty, you'll also receive cold debuffs during the night, regardless of your level. Combining this with previous effects makes it extremely difficult to manage your stamina, even if you're constantly picking up food and traversal gear. Don't worry: it'll only get more challenging from here.
Ascent 6
Image via Landfall and Aggro Crab
Complete "Ascent 5" difficulty to unlock Ascent 6
All previous difficulty effects.
You'll lose more stamina while climbing.
The penultimate difficulty option in PEAK is Ascent 6. Alongside every previous effect stacking, you'll now have to deal with the struggles of increased stamina consumption while climbing. Considering most of this game involves climbing up mountains, this makes for an especially tricky situation if you run out of rope, can't access any vines and chains, or have a particularly steep wall to climb.
Ascent 7
Complete "Ascent 6" difficulty to unlock Ascent 7
All previous difficulty effects.
Permadeath mode. Once you're down, you're gone until the run ends.
PEAK's final challenge is to unlock and complete Ascent 7. There are no new debuffs impacting your stamina in this one. Instead, it's a permadeath mode. If you fall at any point during your run, your teammates won't be able to revive you, forcing you to spectate until everyone else passes or until they reach the very end.
Doug is one of the strangest Dateables you'll meet in Date Everything!, and that's saying a lot considering how many odd residents there are around your home. In one of the many conversations you'll have with him, he'll ask you to solve a Sudoku puzzle.
Solving this puzzle should be easy enough, but Doug makes it a lot more complicated than it should be, as is his specialty. This is by far one of the most confusing situations you'll find yourself in, so here's how to solve Doug's Sudoku puzzle in Date Everything!.
How to complete Doug's Sudoku puzzle in Date Everything!
Screenshot by Destructoid
To solve Doug's Sudoku puzzle, you need to give him the four correct numbers required to complete it. The problem is, he makes it much more complex than it should be since he refuses to show you the puzzle and instead reads out the numbers in each row.
Although Doug specifically tells you not to write down the puzzle yourself or otherwise find a way to recreate it, he won't know if you do, and solving it is quite difficult without doing so. If you're hoping to romance him or become his friend, you want to get all four answers right here since doing so pleases him.
If you want to put in the work to solve it yourself but don't feel like drawing it out, we've remade Doug's Sudoku puzzle for you to solve. We've also included a picture of this puzzle if you want to look at it and work your way through solving it. It's certainly doable to solve it on your own, but it might take you a bit, so you can also skip straight ahead to the answers if you're not feeling up to it.
Screenshot by Destructoid
Doug Sudoku solution in Date Everything!
The correct answers to Doug's Sudoku puzzle are, in order, 2, 3, 4, and 3. He asks you a series of four questions in a row, and each number goes along with one of these questions. Here's when to give him each of the four solutions to his puzzle.
What's the bottom right number? – 2
Cool. And the top left number? – 3
And now what's in the 4th over from the left and 4th going up from the bottom? – 4
Oh nice. And the 8th one from the left and 7th one from the bottom? – 3
Enter the four correct numbers very carefully, because if you select even one wrong answer, you'll have to start again or give up. Each time you begin again, Doug rereads the entire Sudoku puzzle, and it quickly gets annoying to click through, so precision is key here.
Once you've given him all four numbers, Doug will check your work. As long as you choose the correct numbers, you get one Doug Point for your efforts, which means he's one step closer to falling in love with you.
There are plenty of other Dateables waiting to be found around the house, so when you're done conversing with Doug, consider working on finding them. Some of the trickier ones to track down are Hero-Hime and Reggie. You'll also need to venture up into the locked attic to access several characters.
We are nine years into Pokémon Go and heading towards the 2025 iteration of Pokémon Go Fest: Global, which lets anyone around the world take part in a Go Fest without the need to attend an in-person event.
Go Fests are unique, one-month-a-year events, and if you've never been to an in-person one before, I implore you to do so when time allows. But for a lot of people who attend them yearly, there are certain elements and issues that creep up all the time that don't seem to be resolved, even if the event can be very fun to take part in.
So when we spoke to members of the Pokémon Go team at Go Fest: Paris on June 13, we had a lot of questions to ask about the choices and direction of Go Fest, especially heading into the 10-year anniversary of the game in 2026.
The risk of Go Fest stagnation
Go Fests have become standard over the years; everyone knows what they'll be about. We always get a new mythical Pokémon, the event focuses on a new mechanic of some kind, and there are a handful of new Shiny Pokémon across multiple habitats. The formula is locked in, and Scopely is aware how this stagnation could bore fans over time if it doesn't start offering anything new.
Michael Steranka, Pokémon Go's director, explained how Scopely has a team of game designers focused only on in-person events such as Go Fest and Go Tour that work on creating "authentic experiences to the places that we go to."
"Having a team that's fully focused on this, it allows you to spitball and come up with fun ideas and concepts that you can build off of from each other," Steranka told Destructoid. "Or if you have a great idea, but it's not a great fit for Go Tour. Maybe it's a great fit for Go Fest, and they can share those concepts."
With it, Scopely appears to want to keep adding things to surprise fans, especially when it comes to features in-game. Steranka also said how player feedback played a big part in how the team went about Go Fest, as the team wants to take that feedback into account when designing next year's experiences.
The shade problem
No Shade. Photo by Destructoid.
On the topic of improving events, the biggest complaint of the in-person events the past few years at the in-person venues has been the lack of shade, something painfully obvious for those attending Go Fest Paris this year.
It's a tricky balancing act, one Steranka said the team was well aware of and something that can be hard to accommodate at the in-person events, no matter where in the world the event takes place. But also that there were reasons the team had to focus on open parks, reasons you might not even think about.
"If we go to a park that's heavily shaded with lots of trees, that actually can get in the way of cellular connectivity," Steranka told Destructoid. "And so if you go somewhere that's fully covered, then that could negatively impact your ability to connect to the game."
The Scopely team, according to Steranka, is also at the mercy of the venues themselves and what they can offer. He says the team tries "not to pick anywhere that has no shade," but also to make sure the park is a "beautiful destination" that offers fun opportunities for trainers.
Making things feel like a surprise for next year's anniversary
When asked whether he felt that Pokémon Go Fest seemed to be stagnating and if there was anything he felt needed to be changed in the future to keep it fresh for returning trainers, Steranka agreed that something needed to be done, with the 10th anniversary coming up.
"I do actually," Steranka told Destructoid. "Next year is our big 10-year anniversary for Pokémon Go, and Go Fest is always a summer experience, so it does line up quite nicely with our 10-year anniversary. It's definitely going to be a huge moment, I think, for the game."
Steranka wouldn't give any specifics about the 10th anniversary plans, but did at least offer some teasing on what's to come.
"I think trainers should just know that we've put a lot of thought and effort behind what we're trying to do next year, and it's not going to be one specific thing. It's going to be sort of across all facets of the game. And yeah, we definitely want to make the most of that moment, and we want 2026 to be a year that players cherish for the rest of their lives."
The Chronicle update launched for Phasmophobia on June 24, and it's by far one of the most game-changing content expansions we've seen since it first launched back in 2020. It reworked key gameplay systems, and I'm wondering how everyone is feeling about these changes.
At first glance, the Chronicle update doesn't seem like it has much new content outside of the Sound Recorder, but as soon as you start investigating, you'll find that everything feels different and new. I'm in awe of how much this update modified key gameplay systems, but after so many years with the old systems in place, I can also see them being a bit controversial.
Screenshot by Destructoid
I've been playing since 2020, and the Chronicle update is the first time I've genuinely felt a bit spooked by Phasmophobiain years. Loud, evil laughter, a scream telling me to "GET OUT," and a door shaking and closing violently are just a few of the many new terrifying encounters I had during my first fresh Chronicle investigations.
The Sound Recorder and new means of capturing evidence brought a fresh life to my investigations, and I'm beyond thrilled with most of the new changes. Evidence finally feels meaningful and rewarding, urging me to stay longer in each contract to capture as much as I can. It's a bit dangerous, really, as I spend way too much time trying to provoke the ghost so I can capture unique evidence now, but it's much more fun this way.
The changes included in this update are pretty massive, so I'm not too surprised to see that some players aren't happy with it. One fan posted their thoughts on Reddit, calling the update "frustrating" due to how "time-consuming" the news systems are.
If you're someone who seeks to execute a perfect investigation in every round, I can certainly see how it might quickly become exhausting trying to fill up the journal with photos, recorded audio, and video evidence. As someone who doesn't worry too much about that, though, and instead just gets whatever I can done, I'm really enjoying the new features, especially since they fill in time where I'd otherwise likely just be standing around waiting for the ghost to do something.
Screenshot by Destructoid
I'm not sold on all of the features included in this update, though, especially the media deletion limit. Although this isn't a new feature, I am surprised it wasn't removed with the new evidence system. Since there are limited slots for capturing evidence, and a limit to how many pieces of evidence you can throw away to make room for more, it often feels too punishing. I want to capture as much evidence as I like without fear of running out of space or being unable to make room for more.
It also feels silly to me to put the same expectations for a perfect investigation on just one player versus four. This system needs to be updated to make it easier for individual players to get in and get out with all requirements checked off, because Chronicle's changes now make it way more work than it's worth for single players.
Overall, I'm a big fan of the new sounds, the improved evidence collection system, and the Sound Recorder, but I do think there needs to be some slight tweaking to make these systems work better for all players. It's definitely an improvement on what we had before, but I hope we see even more updates to address players' concerns in the future.
So, what do you think of the update, Destructoid? Are you a fan of the Sound Recorder and new evidence collection systems, or have you found them to be a bit annoying to deal with? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments.
In July, PlayStation Plus will feature notable titles like Diablo 4, The King of Fighters XV, and Jusant, providing subscribers varied gaming experiences across genres that encourage exploration and engagement.
FBC: Firebreak is a tedious co-op shooter, lacking in moment-to-moment fun gameplay and rewarding progression. The mission objectives, while unique, are deeply boring to actually engage with, and the shooting itself doesn't meet the standard set by other games in the genre. The story connections to Control are easter eggs at best, making FBC: Firebreak […]
