Kotobukiya will re-release its figure of Lio Fotia from Promare. It'll cost 16,500 JPY ($107.75), and it'll come out some time in October 2024. [Thanks, Figure Times!]
The Promare Lio figure from Kotobukiya first came out in October 2020. That was around less than a year after the movie's initial release. The figure is available in the Kotobukiya Online Shop, which only offers delivery within Japan. Those outside of Japan may want to purchase it from stores like AmiAmi. Incidentally, you can save almost 3000 JPY if you order it from AmiAmi. It's offering the figure for around 13,860 JPY, which is approximately $90.70.
The figure shows Lio holding his Burnish fire in his hand, with flames around his feet as the base as well. It's a 1/7 scale figure and stands at approximately 247 millimeters tall. Because of the way that his hair is around his head, it can be a little hard to see his eyes. You might be able to adjust this based on how you position the figure in your display.
Promare came out in 2019, with Studio Trigger and XFLAG producing it. Hiroyuki Imaishi directed it. The movie focuses on Galo, a firefighter from Burning Rescue, and Lio, who is the leader of the Burnish terrorist group, Mad Burnish. Burnish are humans who developed pyrokinetic abilities after a mass spontaneous human combustion event, the Great World Blaze.
The Promare Lio Fotia figure re-release is open for pre-order and it'll come out in October 2024.

Sanrio announced that a Fragaria Memories collaboration cafe will appear at various Parco stores throughout Japan. The new collaboration cafe will be available for a limited time at the Shibuya Parco in Tokyo, Shinsaibashi Parco in Osaka, and Nagoya Parco. [Thanks, PR Times!]
The Shibuya Parco cafe will appear between May 11 and June 18, 2024, while the Shinsaibashi Parco cafe will be available between May 17 and June 25, 2024. Finally, the Nagoya Parco Cafe, located in Osaka, will appear between May 24 and July 2, 2024.
This will be the first collaboration cafe for the Fragaria Memories multimedia project. Collaboration menus inspired by the characters and art drawn specially for the occasion will be available. Additionally, limited Fragaria Memories merchandise goods featuring the illustrations and art drawn will be sold, as well as other licensed Sanrio goods.

Fragaria Memories is an ongoing multimedia project featuring knight characters known as Fragarias that serve a specific Sanrio mascot as their Lord in order to save the world. While the Fragarias are humanoid, each character features elements and motifs reminiscent of their original Sanrio mascot, Lord. Sanrio announced various Fragaria Memories events, including a stage play, drama CDs, and others back in early November 2023.

Aitai Kuji owner Audrey Lamsam picked up and has been sharing insight from the April 12, 2024 Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Ultimania guide, and the book noted that Glenn Lodbrok was created for FFVII Rebirth before his leading role in FFVII Ever Crisis. The latest volume also noted his connection to Sarruf.
Editor's note: There will be some spoilers regarding Glenn and Rufus in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and FFVII Ever Crisis below.
Lamsam's translation noted that Director Tetsuya Nomura said Glenn was created for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth first, and then ended up being one of the three main FFVII Ever Crisis The First Soldier characters.
Those who played FFVII Rebirth may recall the flashback between Glenn and Rufus that occurred when the two first meet in the game. Lamsam noted that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Ultimania mentioned how the topic of discussion between the two there, Wutai, also comes up in the book. Both characters' ties to the region are referenced too.
Finally, Lamsam shared the age of Glenn as of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is 38, which would mean that he was around 23 during the events of FFVII Ever Crisis.
Glenn has been a part of FFVII Ever Crisis since the game's launch. He appears in The First Soldier storyline alongside Lucia, Matt, and the young version of Sephiroth. Those heading into the console game should take care, as the events of FFVII Rebirth include a spoiler for what happened to him. The mobile and PC spin-off hasn't reached that part of his story yet.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and its demo are available on the PS5, with the exclusivity arrangement ending on May 29, 2024. FFVII Remake is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC, and FFVII Ever Crisis is available on the PC and mobile devices. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Ultimania is now available in Japan, and there's no English release date yet.

Hallmark shared its 2024 Dream Book, and there are multiple game and anime ornaments appearing this year. They all seem to be launching in either July 2024 or October 2024.
This is the Miniature ornament page from the 2024 Hallmark Dream book with the two game ones based on Pokemon and Super Mario. The set of six Poke Balls will be $16.99. That launches in July 2024. Boo will also be out that month, and it will be $9.99.
The rest of the game and anime ornaments in the Hallmark Dream Book 2024 appear in the Fan Favorites section of the catalog. This year's featured console with lights and sounds is an Xbox. It will be out in July 2024 and cost $22.99. It plays the Halo: Combat Evolved sound effects. There will also be a $18.99 Master Chief ornament in October, a light-up Minecraft Nether Portal for $24.99 in July 2024, and a Fortnite Reboot Van that lights up for $22.99 in October 2024.
The Nintendo section features an additional seven ornaments in addition to the miniature Boo. There is a Collecting Coins Super Mario ornament that has sounds and leaping action. That is $34.99 and comes out in July 2024. July is also when the Propeller Mario $18.99 ornament appears. A Mario Kart Toad for $18.99 shows up in July too. A set of Blue, Red, and Yellow Pikmin ornaments will be $24.99. Those appear all together in October 2024. Celeste, from Animal Crossing, launches in October too and costs $18.99. As for the two Pokemon, in October 2024 the $18.99 Blastoise and $17.99 Magikarp swim up.
There are two Sonic the Hedgehog ornaments this year. One is Santa Sonic. He's $18.99 and arrives in October 2024. The light up Sonic Collecting Rings ornament with sound effects is $44.99 and will appear in July 2024. Last year, a Dreamcast one debuted in October 2023.
Some general gaming ornaments appear too. A The Oregon Trail PC monitor that lights up and plays music is $19.99. That appears in October 2024. King Mickey from Kingdom Hearts will also show up this year. He costs $19.99 and will launch in October 2024.

Only three anime ornaments appear in the 2024 Hallmark catalog. Katsuki Bakugo is the only one pictured. He comes out in October 2024 for $19.99. However, two Dragon Ball Z ones will show up that month too. There's no art for them yet, but Saiyan Saga Goku and Vegeta will be $18.99 each.

Good Smile Company has opened pre-orders for its upcoming Nendoroid Doll featuring Altria Pendragon from Type-Moon's Fate series. People can head to the North America-exclusive U.S. store or the international Japanese website to place orders for the new doll.
Although Altria made her series debut as the Saber-class servant in Fate/Stay Night, her Nendoroid Doll outfit will be specifically based on her first ascension stage attire in the iOS and Android mobile game Fate/Grand Order. The set will also come with her signature sword Excalibur.
The full set will cost ￥9,800 / $59.99. The Japanese storefront has also opened another listing that only offers Altria's outfit set with a lower price tag of ￥5,800 (~$37.99).
Altria's Nendoroid Doll is not the only Fate-related news to come from Good Smile Company. The figure publisher has also opened a new pre-order batch for the Nendoroid Doll outfit set of pajamas modeled after Fate/Grand Order's mascot creature Fou-kun. This set originally appeared in November 2019, but it will be available again in October 2024 at ￥3,600 (~$23.50).
Good Smile Company will close pre-orders for the Nendoroid Doll of Altria Pendragon from the Fate series on May 8, 2024. It will ship the finished products in Japan in October 2024 and in North America in Q1 2025.

According to a translation byAitai Kuji owner Audrey Lamsam, who has the recently released Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Ultimania, the story for FFVII Remake part 3 is done. The Japanese edition of the book also confirmed that the same people who worked on the first two parts will be working on the third part.
Lamsam first shared a summary of Director Tetsuya Nomura's thoughts regarding the story for FFVII Remake part 3. It will apparently include a "very important" addition that wasn't present in the PlayStation original. Nomura also said the cast could begin recording soon.
As for the comment from FFVII Remake trilogy Producer Yoshinori Kitase, Lamsam noted that he cited how the first two games had the same people developing it. That will carry over for the final part.

There's no word yet on an English release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Ultimania, which just launched in Japan on April 12, 2024. However, Final Fantasy VII Remake: Material Ultimania is available in English now, and Amazon notes that the Plus edition of it will appear on November 24, 2024.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and its demo are available on the PS5, with the exclusivity arrangement ending on May 29, 2024. When Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist was announced at the first 2024 Nintendo Direct, I was ecstatic. The original entry in the series, Ender Lilies, was my favorite game in 2021. Now that the Ender Magnolia Early Access version is out on Steam, players can experience what the developers at Adglobe and Live Wire are planning for the sequel.
Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist is a Metroidvania focused on exploration and narrative storytelling. Combat so far is identical to Ender Lilies, with protagonist Lilac controlling various Homunculus (this game's equivalent to Spirits) in battle, each with different types of attacks and mechanics. Players start with Nola, a sword-wielding Homunculi that is reliable in close quarters combat, and quickly obtain new ones that open up options during fights. Progression skews towards the Igavania side of the genre, offering more variety in equipment, instead of a focal combat mechanic that gets expanded.
Where Ender Magnolia deviates the most is in how Homunculus and Spirits are handled. Instead of carrying only 3 at a time and having two interchangeable sets, players can use four Homunculi at a time and only have access to one set. One single Homunculi can now unlock various different weapons and tools. For example, Nola has access to her starting sword, but using bespoke upgrade materials she can unlock a scythe and an axe. Homunculi Lito starts with a regular ranged punch, but can also unlock a jumping slam that freezes enemies or an airward rocket punch. These tools can really change how to approach fights and allow for even more player expression. Considering how many redundant and situational Spirits were in Ender Lilies, I like the direction Ender Magnolia is taking. I would like to see the idea of having less but more useful and modular gameplay tools expanded in the full release.
Exploration also remains similar, with various branching paths already appearing early on even in the Early Access version. The current Early Access build available offers approximately three hours to explore everything and fight all bosses available. Considering the length of a lot of Metroidvanias, this is a non-insignificant chunk of the game already. Some of the areas and rooms can be a bit simple to navigate, but the developers have said that as updates release, item placement and terrain will change and expand accordingly. What has seen an improvement is the map, expanding how much information and visual clarity it offers. Instead of showing only square rooms, the map renders each room as they appear in-game in grey colors if there are elements to discover or blue if a room has been completed. Additionally, blocked doors show which items or movement upgrades can be used to open them. Having the extra level of detail and extra information helps often a new layer of clarity to navigation.
The story of Ender Magnolia centers around protagonist Lilac, an Attuner capable of saving the Homunculus infected by the Blighted fumes leaking from under the earth and borrowing their help in the hostile world of The Land of Fumes. Lilac wakes up without memories, meets the also-amnesiac Homunculus Nola, and they agree to help each other out. Their relationship is especially intriguing, as they both seem to belong to rival houses, with Lilac being an heir to the Frost and Nola being the Grim Reaper of Milius. From narrative clues and files found around the world, it seems the past actions of both houses led to the current state of ruin in The Land of Fumes. Even so early into the game, I enjoyed seeing hints and possible callbacks to Ender Lilies. I'm expecting that, for the final release, even without having played the first game newcomers might still be able to jump into this entry first.
It is too early to tell where the narrative is moving, but some of the additions present in the sequel are very welcome. Characters seem to be chattier in general. This time around, Lilac is not a silent protagonist, and that selfless and generous personality shows through interactions. The conversations Lilac and the Homunculus have in rest spots are particularly interesting, and I would like to see a replay function implemented in the final version, similar to how it already exists with Boss Memories.
Once again, the art direction in Ender Magnolia is impeccable. I don't fully know if characters are rendered in 2D, 3D, or a mix of both, but they fit in perfectly with the rest of the world, sporting designs with striking colors that complement and stand out against the backgrounds, while using clear and precise animations. This is something that helps a lot during boss fights, which require attention and learning the timing of attack windows. Backgrounds are rendered in 2D with a fantastic parallax effect. The Land of Fumes is an inhospitable and desolate place, with brief moments of respite and calm. The entire game is crafted with meticulous attention to detail.
The soundtrack composed by Japanese indie band Mili is impressive. The gentle tunes of the piano from Ender Lilies are substituted with a slightly grungier electronic soundtrack which fits perfectly the series progression from dark fantasy to sci-fi. The vocals by singer Cassie Wei never get old, and remind me of Emi Evans' work on the NieR series, especially the fantasy language used for the lyrics.
Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist doesn't deviate much from Ender Lilies, and that is because the original title was already a great game. Instead, the sequel improves on all of its strengths and polishes most of the kinks of the original, while retaining what made it special. I am very interested in seeing how the narrative unfolds and how the new subtle changes to the sequel build upon the first entry. While short, the Early Access version of the game is well worth your time if you liked the first game or if you're like Metroidvanias.
Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist is immediately available on Early Access for PC via Steam. The full release is set for later on 2024 an will appear on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

One of the current FFVII Ever Crisis banners features the Bunny Gloves and Bunny Bustier for Tifa and Flower Vase and Party Jacket for Cait Sith. To help better show how the equipment looks and works, there are now two trailers looking at each character.
First, here's the Tifa Bunny Bustier trailer that shows her using the Bunny Gloves Aqua Splash C. Ability. It also notes this attire increases her magical ability damage and water ability damage.
There's also a video of the home screen wallpaper tied to this cosmetic as well.
Next, here's the Cait Sith Party Jacket trailer. He uses the Flower Vase C. Ability Hang in There during the battle shown. His new attire increases the length a buff or debuff will be active and increases the amount of damage he'll do when he lands a critical hit.
The video highlighting the new Cait Sith wallpaper also showed up on social media.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is available for PCs and mobile devices. The FFVII Ever Crisis Bunny Gloves Tifa and Flower Vase Cait Sith banner is around until April 21, 2024. The spring and Easter 2024 seasonal event is also still live in the game.
