Destructoid Tuesday, August 19, 2025 7:59 PM Samsara Room walkthrough       If you're familiar with Rusty Lake's past games, such as the Rusty Lake series or Cube Escape, you'll likely already have an idea of what some of Samsara Room's puzzle patterns may entail. That said, it's still a challenging game, especially if this is your first title within its genre. Here's a complete walkthrough of Samsara Room, including every item you need to find to progress throughout its main story and secret level. Table of contents Samsara Room walkthrough A fish A corrupted soul A gecko A worm A shrimp A window A bird A new life Samsara Room walkthrough Here's a complete step-by-step guide to completing Samsara Room, starting from your spot in front of the mirror: A fish Tap on the mirror and look to the right of your character to find an "S" symbol. Remember it for later. Grab the candle from the plant pot atop the cabinet. Go left. Solve the puzzle by rotating each circle and dragging the grey squares into the gaps. Claim the candle inside the box. Open every drawer in the room's dresser. You'll find a fish, a knife, and another candle. Screenshot by Destructoid Return to the mirror room. Select the envelope next to the phone and use your knife to open it. It'll read out "Enlighten Me." Tap on the phone to have several letters appear out of its receiver. Click or tap on each letter until they spell out "Enlighten Me" to find a box of matches. Go right. Open the window and use your knife on its background. Tear down the rest. Place your three candles and fish inside each empty spot before lighting the candles with your matches. Screenshot by Destructoid Click the black hole that appears, followed by the white cube, to receive the A Fish achievement. A corrupted soul You now have a fish head. Tapping on the mirror and looking to the left of your character will reveal another symbol. While here, collect the shell above the mirror. Select the phone again and pick up its receiver. Tap each bubble from left to right to spell out "Let it sink in." Screenshot by Destructoid Repeatedly click on the paper hat until you find a key. Use it on the cabinet to obtain a jar. Go right twice. Tap on the bottle and click on the X's, including those in the cracks that appear, before claiming a second shell. Click on the grandfather clock. Pull out the nails until a hand appears. Give it your knife to receive a heart. Go right again. Select the floating pickle and click on every bump that isn't on a dark circle to receive a third shell. Screenshot by Destructoid Click on the box you unlocked earlier to claim another shell. Go back to the window. Swap out the fish with the heart and place the four shells in the empty slots. Click the hole and cube again for the A corrupted soul achievement. A gecko Screenshot by Destructoid Head to the window room. Use the jar on the gecko. Swap out the heart with the gecko. Enter the window again. A worm Tap on the mirror and look to the right of your character to find a new symbol. Continue remembering them for a future puzzle. Tap on the flower pot to claim a marble. Go right and tap on the candlestick. Use your matches on them all, starting from shortest to tallest, to get another marble. Screenshot by Destructoid Go right again. Select the leftmost painting and fling it to the side to cause it to start peeling from its frame. Roll it down to find a third marble. Tap on the clock. Set its time to 3:55 based on the middle painting's hint to claim a triangle key. Go right again. Tap on the bookcase and pick up the marble in its bottom-left corner. Rearrange each book so the books line up with the red outline. Below is one of several solutions you can use. Tap on the middle red book once you complete the puzzle. Screenshot by Destructoid Return to the window. Place the four marbles in and swap the gecko with the heart before jumping in once again. Go right. Tap on and read through the book. Go right again and set the clock to 8:25. Pick up the triangle key. Return to the window. Swap the heart with the fish before stepping back in. Tap on the Samsara book in the mirror room before moving back into the clock room. Input 2:15 into the clock for another triangle key. Along the way, use your jar anywhere while in this form to fill it with water. Swap the fish with the heart again at the window. Return to the clock again. This time, insert all three triangle keys into the clock's bottom portion before opening it. A man will appear, who you can click on. He'll fall to the ground, letting you tap on his hand to collect a seed. Plant the seed inside the flower pot within the mirror room. Use your jar of water on it. Swap out the heart with the gecko before entering the window. Return to the flower pot to find it fully grown. Remove its petals to pick up a worm. Switch the gecko with the worm to claim the A worm achievement. A shrimp From this point onward, we'll be simultaneously working toward a secret ending. If you're uninterested in the secret ending, skip step 15. Otherwise, follow the steps below to progress through this section: You now appear as a worm. Look at yourself in the mirror, taking note of the new symbol that appears. Wait around until you spot a flower petal. As it floats around, tap on it a few times before following it by heading right. Pick it up once you see it fall in front of the white dresser. Screenshot by Destructoid Head left once. Tap on the sticks inside the clock before collecting the knife. On this same screen, move the sticks until you spot a second petal. Head left again. Use the knife on the book to get another petal. Go left until you arrive in the mirror room. Tap on the phone three times to drop its handset. Tap on the handset. Use your knife on it to remove its screw and reveal another puzzle. Solve the puzzle by rotating the circular paths and connecting them using the sliding markers. The image below shows its exact solution. Screenshot by Destructoid Tap on the phone's speaker until a fourth petal falls to the floor. Pick it up. Go back to the room with the man on the floor. Select his head and open his mouth before entering it. The first room you'll spot has a winding path and some dark, dead trees. Hold your left mouse button to reveal a bright orange orb. Click on it to release it. Repeat step 11 in every subsequent room you enter. You'll do this a total of four times before approaching a pedestal. The answer to the pedestal's puzzle directly relates to the symbols you saw throughout the previous chapters in the mirror. The image below shows its solution. Screenshot by Destructoid Collect the egg that appears. From here onward, skip to "A bird" if you don't want to experience Samsara Room's secret ending. The next puzzle requires you to dive into the social media accounts of Rusty Lake, Samsara Room's development team. Using Rusty Lake's tweets and YouTube videos from 2020, you'll eventually find all four symbols. You'll find the second solution below: Screenshot by Destructoid Head back to the room with the book. Select the window and place both the shrimp and the four petals inside to transform yourself and receive the "A shrimp" achievement. A window Earning the "A window" achievement requires completing the second half of Samsara Room's secret ending. If you skipped the previous section, you'll need to go back and finish it before tackling this part. Otherwise, scroll down to "A bird" if you prefer focusing on the main story or want to save this for a post-game adventure. With that said, here's a complete step-by-step to concluding this secret ending: Tap on the mirror to find a shrimp version of yourself. Collect the water droplet. Head right. Tap on the box to find a bundle of sticks. Use your matches to light them on fire before collecting it. Select the phone. Pick up the handset to cause numbers to fly out of it. Arrange them so they appear like a clock. Screenshot by Destructoid Upon completing the puzzle, a time, 2:45, will appear. Remember this for later. Tap on the plant pot on the floor. Grab the sand or "earth" that falls out of it. Head right. Grab the pencil behind the white dresser's drawer. Tap on the clock. Set its time to 2:45 before grabbing the bottle. Go right again. Tap on the shrimp and pull it apart to find the old man inside. Select the old man and open his mouth. Use the bottle on it to collect an elixir. Return to the mirror room. Select the paper on the table and use your pencil to draw a key on it. Click the paper a few times until a key appears. Use the key on the white cabinet on the floor. Tap on the jar to find an air bubble to collect. Go to the mirror. Replace the shrimp with the elixir and use the fire, water, air, and earth on the four corners. Screenshot by Destructoid Click the white box until you witness Samsara Room's secret ending. A bird Completing "A bird" requires progressing through the first 14 steps of "A shrimp." If you've already finished its puzzle and collected the egg, head back to the mirror and replace the worm or elixir with it. A new life Last but not least, here's a complete step-by-step to wrapping up Samsara Room's story: Head right to the window. Grab the egg from it. Go right again. Select the nest before placing the egg inside. Tap on all three eggs until they hatch. Tap on each bird in the following order: The grey bird with its mouth wide open. The bird with the orange belly. The bird with the orange belly and open mouth. The bird with the gray belly. The finger. The white bird with the open mouth. The white bird with the closed mouth. The white bird with its head down. The feather. Return to the mirror room. Select the clouds and drag them around until they resemble various creatures. Repeat this with the singular cloud until it appears as a clock. Screenshot by Destructoid Go back to the nest room. Tap on the clock and input 7:25 as the time. Select the nest to obtain a sunflower. Go right. Tap on the paper airplane until it drops to the floor. Open it to receive another feather and a "Rise up" phone clue. Head to the mirror room and interact with the phone. Tap on each letter until you spell "Rise up" to cause a hot air balloon to appear. Click on it to send it off the screen. Go back to the nest room. Tap on the hot air balloon and activate its heat before using your matches to heat it up further. Cut the sack that's attached to the balloon using your knife. Head out of the balloon's display to find the sack on the ground. Open it to find some sand, a box, and two scales. Remember the box for later. Head right and select the flower pot. Use your sand and sunflower on it. In this same menu, move the Sun to the top of the screen before sliding it right. The sunflower will tip over, causing a seed to fall from it. Grab the seed. Before leaving this room, open the dresser's drawers. Read the papers and book in the top two drawers for a clue on future puzzles. You'll also find a weight in the bottom drawer to collect. Go right to the mirror room. Use the two scales on the hooks before placing the weight on the right side. Screenshot by Destructoid You can now weigh other objects on the left side to solve the puzzle based on the information from the previous steps. As you learn different weights, you can make the right side heavier and continue solving until you know the values for worm, heart, gecko, and fish. We can deduce the following based on this: Weight = 1 Gecko = 1 Worm = 0 Matches = 2 Heart = 4 Fish = 5 Night time solution = 04:15 Head back to the clock room. Before inputting the nighttime answer, switch to the afternoon by making the time 2:00, as revealed on the drawer papers. Go right. Give the squirrel your sunflower seed to claim another feather. Go back to the clock. Input 04:15. Head right and tap on the moon. Use your knife on it to reveal that it's a giant eyeball. Open the eye until you can start moving it around. Drag the eye towards the screen's four corners to reveal constellations. Remember them and the eye's position. Click on the owl. It'll sit on top of the clock, letting you complete another puzzle based on the book we read earlier. Find the owl atop the clock. Move its head so it looks in the following directions: To the right Toward you To the left Toward you Behind itself, away from you Collect the feather the owl leaves behind. Tap on the box within this room. Use the eye's constellations to open it, revealing a pocket watch inside. Your best bet is to start with the moving gear, shift their positions until a second one starts turning, then move along the path until they're all turning. Below shows the exact solution. Screenshot by Destructoid Set the clock's time to 7:45. Tap on the bird atop the nest. Feed it the fish, gecko, worm, and heart. Tap on it until a baby appears. Go to the window. Place the baby atop the center platform and the four feathers at the corners. Enter the portal, tap on the cube, and break apart the scene to watch the ending scene. Finishing these steps will conclude Samsara Room's storyline.
