Usually when you hear a game is like Fire Emblem, you expect it to be an RPG or strategy game, but that's not the case with Kitchen Sync: Aloha. Instead, Lemonpepper Games worked that concept into a kitchen management simulation with visual novel elements. The thing is, it works out because of the execution, and that relationship-building becomes the best part of the experience.
Kitchen Sync: Aloha features a pair of siblings with fond memories of visiting their aunt's restaurant. (You choose which one is your avatar.) Which means that when they get a chance to revitalize it, they leap at the opportunity to team up to again make it a prosperous restaurant that could be as meaningful to others as it was to them. However, since they're not as experienced as she was when it comes to running their own establishment, that means our journey alongside them involves handling requests, collecting recipes, getting experience working in different situations, hiring additional employees to assist in the kitchen, and managing relationships between everyone involved.
Those additional employees is where the Fire Emblem part of Kitchen Sync: Aloha comes in. Don't worry. We'll get there.
This means there are essentially two types of gameplay we're dealing with as we go through Kitchen Sync: Aloha. The primary mechanic involves actually working in the restaurant. This includes not only the main Aloha Pearl, but also an array of other kitchens across Hawaii as you also collect different types of recipes based on actual food from the region. Depending on which difficulty you choose, it will either be incredibly relaxed (Cozy) or strenuous (Hard Boiled), but typically each service involves completing all orders, possibly having certain items on the menu, and some bonus objectives. Preparing meals means going to different stations, as in other cooking and kitchen management games such as Call of Boba, Overcooked, Cuisineer, or maybe even Cook Serve Delicious, then offering up a finished product. Overcooked is probably the closest, since there are multiple chefs in the kitchen, but we're controlling everyone here and switching between them for both boosts and relationship-building. Not to mention, doubling up on recipes or adjusting them can tweak them. It's not the most revolutionary cooking management gameplay I've experienced, and it can get a bit tedious, but it works.
The other element is the character and relationship building, and that's where Kitchen Sync: Aloha stands out. While you begin with the two siblings trying to realize this dream, there will eventually be other people you can recruit. Every chef you unlock has stats, and by placing them in shifts in the kitchen you earn ability points that can buff their abilities and make them more effective. Some of them are plucked right out of, say, an RPG, since stamina and speed are two factors, but so are skill, teamwork, and technique. (There are also Ability Books you can pick up.) In a nod to Fire Emblem, you can see support conversations between them, which can go from rank C to S, in many cases. This means that in addition to the boosts and benefits from just generally having people who work well together in a kitchen, you also get to see the people who work a lot together get along and become friends or even couples. There are even Sync Styles that unlock.
This ended up being my favorite part of Kitchen Sync: Aloha, as it is all the fun of getting to pair up people and make them like each other like in Fire Emblem, but without worrying I'll get allies killed because I needed Frederick to marry Sumia so Cynthia can eventually ride a dragon. Plus, I like how this worked out here! It's a really novel concept, and it does incentivize working on certain pairs and building up certain people. You can optimize abilities to ensure people balance each other out, as well as Sync Styles to prioritize certain incentives in the kitchen. Plus the way the Support conversations and rank-ups help make it easier to deal with the repetitive gameplay in the kitchen portions.

The only thing I hope gets adjusted with Kitchen Sync: Aloha is increased Steam Deck and handheld gaming PC compatibility. It definitely feels like a title perfect for on-the-go play or getting cozy on a couch. However, I had issues playing it on a Lenovo Legion Go. The initial prompt for character names and pronouns ended up not playing well with the virtual keyboard. There were also a few times in which it sometimes didn't immediately map correctly to the controllers and I needed to use the mousepad or touchscreen to get through things. The developer does seem to work on it and it could be limited to just this device, as there was a post from Lemonpepper addressing compatibility, so your mileage may vary.
I really appreciate Lemonpepper Games integrated a Fire Emblem style relationship management system into a restaurant management simulation like Kitchen Sync: Aloha. I wasn't sure how it would work out! But the fact that the chefs are sort of treated like RPG units, based on their skills and abilities, and hopefully putting people in the kitchen to increase scores and meet objectives meant it really fell into place. While I felt the actual management portion gets a little tedious, the concept of managing people's friendships and relationships helped the game stand out.
Kitchen Sync: Aloha is available on PC via Steam now.

What are these mysterious paw prints and purple cracks scattered around Dreamlight Valley? The Cheshire Cat is up to some mischief again in a chaotic event, and it's up to us to figure out what's going on. We'll even get some Wonderland-themed furniture items as a reward.
One of the tasks you'll encounter during Disney Dreamlight Valley's Cheshire Chaos event is Jungle Bungles. However, unlike others requiring you to venture into regions like the Toy Story realm, this one has some unexpected hidden requirements.
How to complete the Jungle Bungles duty in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Completing the Jungle Bungles duty during the Cheshire Chaos event requires unlocking and exploring the Lion King realm starting on May 11. You'll need to complete the Lion King's quest line and unlock both Simba and Nala as villagers before beginning this duty. Here, you'll find purple paw prints scattered around, which you can clear away using your Royal Watering Can.
However, you won't spot these paw prints right away. While the Toy Story realm has several to clear away, the ones in the Lion King realm aren't available until May 11. Here are all the details you need about the Cheshire Chaos event's schedule, according to an announcement from Gameloft and in-game information:
![]()
Since the Lion King realm began spawning paw prints on May 11, it was impossible to find them in this area before this date. Similarly, the More Than a Mirage duty is also locked behind a timegate, preventing you from completing it until after May 15.
Entering the realm and exploring the area will reveal small pink-purple paw prints dotted around. They spawn every 10 minutes, with up to five available at one time. Leaving for several hours won't let you stockpile 20 paw prints in one spot, so you'll have to return periodically to finish this duty.
When does the Cheshire Cat Chaos event end?
Disney Dreamlight Valley's Cheshire Cat Chaos event originally began on May 7 and ends on May 20. These dates give you around one week to enter the Lion King realm and clear away 20 paw prints alongside finishing the event's other duties. Now's a good chance to finish it alongside Clean Your Room and Calmer of Chaos before transitioning to More Than a Mirage.

Disney Dreamlight Valley's Cheshire Chaos event has been live for some time now, and with it came mysterious purple cracks in the earth and pink paw prints inside the world's realms. What is the Cheshire Cat up to now? What happens when you investigate this further?
You'll quickly find these answers by completing the event's duties, with More Than a Mirage being among the last. Let's dive deeper into how to complete this task and get one step closer to completing Disney Dreamlight Valley's Cheshire Chaos event.
Table of contents
How to complete the More Than a Mirage duty in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Completing the More Than a Mirage duty during the Cheshire Chaos event requires finding paw prints in the Aladdin realm starting on May 15. Much like the Toy Story and Lion King realms, you'll find purple paw prints dotted along the ground, including inside alleyways and atop the city's walls. Accessing them requires completing the Aladdin realm's storyline and unlocking both Jasmine and Aladdin as villagers.
But these paw prints aren't available on the event's May 7 start date. Instead, you'll have to wait until May 15 to locate these prints. Here's a breakdown of the event's schedule, according to an event announcement from Gameloft and in-game information:
![]()
Based on the Cheshire Chaos event's duty list, the Aladdin realm for the More Than a Mirage duty will spawn paw prints on May 15. The Toy Story realm started filling up on May 7, with the Lion King realm following four days later.
Like previous Cheshire Chaos event duties, the paw prints spawn every 10 minutes, capping at five per realm. Your best bet is to collect all five, leave for an hour, and return before repeating the process a few times. You can complete other duties in between or finish a few friendship quests you might've missed in the past. Once you clear away 20 paw prints, you'll complete the More Than a Mirage duty, rewarding you with another event prize.
When does the Cheshire Cat Chaos event end?
Disney Dreamlight Valley's Cheshire Cat Chaos event is running from May 7 until May 20. You have two weeks to explore the Toy Story and a week for the Lion King and Aladdin realms. You'll also spot purple Cheshire Cracks in Dreamlight Valley for the Calmer of Chaos duty.
When the event began, the only two tasks you could complete were Calmer of Chaos and Clean Your Room. Jungle Bungles and More Than a Mirage are available starting on May 11 and May 15, respectively, giving you plenty of options for realm exploration and paw print cleaning in the event's latter half.

The Light It Up quest is a rather confusing mission to complete in Cash Cleaner Simulator, and it requires you to turn on a certain broken switch.
The mission looks pretty straightforward at first, but the game doesn't do a good job of explaining how you can complete it. This guide will provide you with all the required steps for completing the Light It Up quest, including finding the broken switch.
How to solve the Light It Up quest in Cash Cleaner Simulator
Once you've accepted the quest, you'll get clues from Lifehacker. One involves a challenge about "something glowing" and finding a combination of darkness and ultraviolet. First, turn off all the lights in the room so that it becomes dark. Next, use your portable UV Lamp, and you'll come across graffiti near the conveyor belt.
This clue will tell you something about levers and handles that are hidden from plain sight. You'll also find a set of arrows that will lead you to the missing lever.
The next part of the task is pretty simple. Keep following the arrow, and you'll come across a steel beam near the pipes. Look up, and you'll find a red item on it, and this is the missing lever. Throw something at it, and it will fall for you to collect the item.
While you can throw any item at it, the best option is to go for boxes. Pick up a box and press the T button to throw it. As long as you touch the lever with your throwable, it will fall.
![]()
As an alternative, you can use the ladder to reach the lever once you have discovered its location. Either method works, so it's down to your discretion.
Once you've obtained the lever, interact with the broken switch. Turn on the switch after the lever has been put on it, and you'll finish the Light It Up quest. This quest is extremely important for your in-game progression, as it will expand your workplace.
A cutscene follows the mission, and your conveyor belt location will blow up. Make sure to pick up all your tools before you shift to the new area. While there are several tools to use, the Washing Machine is certainly one of the more useful ones, especially if you're dealing with a lot of dirty cash.

Handling dirty money in Cash Cleaner Simulator isn't easy, but you can use the Washing Machine, which is arguably one of the most important tools in the game.
The Washing Machine can't be bought, and you'll have to unlock it instead. Thankfully, it's one of the earliest upgrades in the game. See here's how to access this wonderful tool and kickstart your journey of whitewashing dirty bills.
How to unlock the Washing Machine in Cash Cleaner Simulator
The Washing Machine is unlocked as you clear the first of the few story missions. It happened so automatically for me that I missed the exact point. However, keep track of the notifications on your phone, as you'll get a message when the tool becomes available for you to use.
What happens if you miss the mission? Well, I have no known workaround apart from restarting your save. You'll lose your progress, but the missions required to unlock the Washing Machine don't take long. The tool in itself is far more valuable to obtain, even if it requires you to restart from scratch.

How to use the Washing Machine in Cash Cleaner Simulator
Once you have unlocked the washing machine and set it up at your preferred location, here's how you can use it.
You can follow the same process for stacks or bundles of bills as well. The Washing Machine automatically separates the loads and cleans all your clothes as required.

Revenge of the Savage Planet isn't a hardcore survival space-sim by any stretch of the imagination, but certain steps will allow you to develop faster and quickly.
While the general gameplay is linear, the following tips will help you to complete all the available quests as efficiently as possible. Without following the steps, you can still enjoy and finish all the missions, but they're going to take longer.
Gather as many resources as possible
![]()
Gathering resources in the game isn't fun, and it can also feel slightly inhumane. However, you need to farm as many resources as possible, such as from the critters, and the efficiency increases once you unlock fast travel. This will allow you to teleport across fast-travel points and farm all the creatures in a particular location.
Resources can also come from mineral veins, which can also be harvested using the method mentioned above. To ease the process, visit the in-game settings and unlock the Snap Targeting feature. This feature allows you to lock down on different targets with ease, which eases the overall farming process. This will make targeting smaller critters easier, as you can miss them sometimes.
Capture a pet of each type
![]()
In Revenge of the Savage Planet, your alien pets have more functions when you change them into research subjects. Researching will help you unlock new outfit colors and upgrade specific items. While the task is to research as many species as possible, the optimum method is to test at least one creature of each type.
To easily capture any creature as your pet, first scan it for its weak spot. Then, shoot them in the weak areas to stagger them, allowing you to teleport the creature back to your base.
Scan and survey everything
![]()
While it's a boring task, you should always scan your surroundings whenever you're in a new area. Choose the Survey function to make a quick scan, which will reveal any consumables, collectibles, and minerals that might be found in the area.
When surveying a place, make sure to move continuously. By default, the range of the scans is limited to a radius of 100m. If you can get the Planet Scanner Suit upgrade, it will mark the location of all the collectibles on your map. Till then, a Survey is the best way to go forward if you don't want to miss out on any vital resource.
Unlock the planets
![]()
While you begin on the soil of Stellaris Prime, there are four more planets to unlock. Unlocking Slappi's Den of Fun might not be necessary, but the same can't be said about the other celestial bodies. Their respective unlock conditions are all tied to important story quests. If you don't unlock the planets, you won't be able to complete the main questline.
Don't overlook the Kindex
![]()
Yes, who loves to study inside a video game! However, if you're willing to throw that attitude away, your Kindex can be immensely helpful in Revenge of the Savage Planet. The information for an enemy will be added to your Kindex once you have scanned it. Some enemies are harder to defeat, and reading your Kindex entry for such occasions can be immensely helpful.
If you require specialized tools, the Kindex entry will have those. If an enemy has a specific weak spot, your Kindex will be your best friend with that information. Sure, boring the text might feel boring at times, but it can save you a lot of time in the long run.
Early upgrades are always better
![]()
Upgrades are your key to success inside the game, and you should always look to get them done as quickly as possible. You can start unlocking new upgrades with the help of the Crafting Station, and they require specific resources.
Try not to sleep on the blueprints, which are key to getting new upgrades. You can complete Challenge missions to access new blueprints, which can then be converted into the required upgrades with the help of the right resources. The more upgrades you find, the quicker your in-game progression will be.

Dune Awakening's release date is pretty close, as the upcoming MMO is scheduled to go live in June, and it could become a big hit with fans this year.
This guide will provide you with all the relevant information related to Funcom's upcoming project ahead of its official release. It will also help you gather all the stuff you need before preordering your copy of the game.
Is Dune Awakening crossplay?
The answer to this question is slightly in a gray area at the moment, and it's more to do with the platform accessibility (more on that in the following section). Based on Funcom's initial plans, there won't be any crossplay, as the MMO will only be available on PC.
Since it's going to be available exclusively on one platform, there's no question of crossplay in the foreseeable future. However, the feature could eventually arrive in the future, based on whether Dune Awakening becomes available on other platforms.
All Dune Awakening Platforms
Dune Awakening will be released globally on June 10 on PC. Unfortunately, it's not going to be available on consoles initially. However, in an interview in 2024, Creative Director Joel Bylos claimed there would be a console launch following the PC release.
Hence, it's pretty safe to assume that console players should be able to join the fun pretty soon. However, an exact date is unavailable at this point. Once Funcom confirms it, we will add the date to our guide. There's a strong chance for crossplay to be added once the console release takes place. For the time being, however, players will have to have a PC that supports the minimum requirements if they want to start playing from June.
Is Dune Awakening free to play?
Free-to-play has been a popular model for a lot of MMOs that have been released in recent years. In the case of Dune Awakening, there's no such privilege. The game is available in three different editions at separate price points.
Both the Digital Deluxe and the Ultimate Editions will offer up to five days of advanced access that will allow you to get extra hours of game time and a head start over those who get the Standard Edition of the game.
