Minecraft Legends sees the player take on the role of a legendary hero whose destiny is to unite the factions of the Overworld. The Quidditch World Cup game released back in 2003 remains a fan favourite, so if the sport fits within the timeline of Hogwarts Legacy, its inclusion seems like a no-brainer. We know that Hogwarts Legacy is based in the 1800s - long before Harry Potter, and going some way to separate itself from the works of JK Rowling. Many well-known features remain though, such as Hogwarts Legacy Floo Flames and the Hogwarts Legacy common rooms, so where does this leave Quidditch? From Harry Potter lore, we know that the earlier incarnations of the game were recorded as far back as the 11th century, with other broomstick games dated even further back than that. Hi-Fi Rush is a new third-person rhythm action brawler from the makers of Evil Within and Ghostwhire: Tokyo. Masahiro Sakurai talked about the effect the COVID pandemic had on the team behind the development of Super Smash Bros Ultimate DLC content. He shared this information through his YouTube channel, called "Masahiro Sakurai on Creating Games," through which he has been sharing his views and experience on video game development and design. At the time workers had to start working from home in early 2020, the SSBU development team had successfully completed the first Fighters Pass, and they were on the way to deliver a second volume. The second Fighters Pass increased the number of characters from 5 to 6, 7 if you count Pyra and Mythra as two different fighters, and with it the workload for the team. You can check out the video below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXudgEHF78M Sakurai and the development team for Super Smash Bros Ultimate had to move their workspace to their own homes, which brought some benefits, but a significant number of issues as well. Some of these included workers not having the proper equipment, such as office chairs and desks, or lacking the appropriate internet quality to work. Likewise, Sakurai explained that he had to do fight tests for the game online, with the lag associated with it and not being able to test the conditions of the game in a local environment. Sakurai estimated that the effect of the COVID pandemic resulted in the development team working about 30% slower than they normally would. The people at Sora Ltd. decided to respond to the workers needs by supplying them with the equipment they needed to work comfortably. There has been an update for the upcoming Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon presentation that will show at Taipei Game Show 2023. Whereas previously, we reported that the program would be an hour long, the website for BNE updated to state that the presentation will be twenty minutes long instead. The time for the presentation has not changed. [Thanks, Okami Games!] As a reminder, the presentation at Taipei Game Show 2023 will be on February 3, 2023. You can catch it at 9 PM JST/7 AM ET/4 AM PT/1 PM CET. It will stream on both the Bandai Namco YouTube channel and the Taipei Game Show YouTube channel at the same time. As well, because the interview with producer Yasunori Ogura is a recording, the audience cannot ask any questions. Previously, it seemed as if the Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon presentation would introduce new information. However, it seems that Ogura will focus more on introducing the mechanics that will make Armored Core VI unique. So it is unclear at this point in time as to whether or not there really will be new information at this stream. Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is in development and it will come out on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and Windows PC (via Steam) in 2023. There are new Resident Evil skins in Dead by Daylight for Ada Wong, Jill Valentine, and The Blight. While The Blight isn't a typical Killer character from the series -- those are Albert Wesker and Nemesis T-Type -- The Blight will "transform" into William Birkin with this new costume. All were added alongside the Moonlight Burrow Lunar New Year event. However, while those cosmetics are a limited release, these new Resident Evil skins are permanent additions. The official announcement went into detail about the Resident Evil Ada, Jill, and William Birkin Dead by Daylight skins. Both the Ada Lunar Qipao and Jill Revelations Gear are considered Very Rare Dead by Daylight skins. Ada's is both a Lunar New Year outfit and one inspired by Resident Evil 4. It is her red dress, but with extra accents and embellishments. For Jill, she's wearing her Resident Evil: Revelations suit. The Blight's William Birkin (First Form G) is based on Resident Evil 2 remake. That is the only "legendary" skin of the three. The announcement also included comments noting that all three skins were ones requested by people playing the game. As such, the team consulted with Capcom to make them happen. Dead by Daylight is available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, and the new Resident Evil Ada Wong, Jill Valentine and The Blight skins are available. More people will get access to all of the "JoJos" in the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series. Microsoft announced some more games joining its Xbox Game Pass subscription service in January and February 2023. While GoldenEye 007 and Hi-Fi Rush already ended up confirmed for the service earlier on January 25, 2023, the anime fighter showed up after the new reveal. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle R will appear on January 31, 2023. As a reminder, this is the updated remaster of a PS3 game brought to multiple platforms. While it removed the story mode from the original game, it did add additional characters both in the main game and as DLC. For example, Stone Ocean's Weather Forecast (aka Weather Report) joined after launch. Here's the full list of games coming to Xbox Game Pass between the end of January and beginning of February 2023.
As a note, the following four games are leaving on January 31, 2023.

Building up Support ranks in Fire Emblem Engage is a good idea. It lets you unlock conversations between characters. It also means that you can get buffs when they fight alongside each other in the field. While fighting together or having meals are two ways to build up the bond, there's another, faster way. People can give out gifts to characters in Fire Emblem Engage to make them like Alear more for any occasion or birthdays, and we have a guide to help you decide who should get what gift. You know, just in case you don't feel like checking the characters' pages in the Ally Notebook section of the main menu after hitting the C-rank support level.
What are the Fire Emblem Engage universal gifts?There are three gifts that are always easy to get and readily available on the Somniel in Fire Emblem Engage. As you wander around, gathering at glimmering patches will sometimes net you Horse Manure, Pretty Pebbles, or Spirit Gems. Horse Manure is the joke gift. Don't really worry about it. However, both Pretty Pebbles and Spirit Gems are good gifts for everyone. All characters like the pebbles. Not to mention every ally loves the Spirit Gem. Use them if you're uncertain about other likes and dislikes.
Now, about that gift guide to more specific Fire Emblem Engage character gifts?Okay. Aside from those universal gifts, you can get more unique items once you progress through the game. The Relay Trials in the Tower of Trials rewards you with gifts you can give when you "win." However, after Timerra joins in Chapter 13 and gets settled, she'll open up a Flea Market on the Somniel. This shop's rotating stock exclusively carries gifts you can give to characters. As for who gets what, the game helps you out a bit. After you hit the C-rank support with a character and talk with them, the Ally Notebook updates with a new page. That will list their likes and dislikes. The description for each gift will also note the kind of person who might like it. So since "training" is under Alfred's "likes," he would love the Muscle Balm. Keep in mind more people might also like these items, but I… just didn't have enough of them to give to everyone.

The first game to come up during the January 2023 Xbox and Bethesda Developer_Direct was Minecraft Legends. This is the action-strategy game for groups of players to play together to face off against other players' team in a changing world. Your goal is to strategically build up a base and strengthen your team, while also going up against the other players with mobs you recruited. This portion of the presentation ended by revealing Minecraft Legends release date is April 18, 2023. You can watch the new Minecraft Legends footage at the very beginning of the showcase below. There's also a new gameplay trailer. Back in June 2022, Microsoft offered another look at this Minecraft spin-off. That offered a better idea of what went into creating this new game. Minecraft Legends offers PVP for up to four people and cross-platform play in a procedurally generated world. You share an army and resources with other players. This means people can be building or gathering, as well as fighting. Also, throughout the game someone will be facing both the other players' team and the Piglins. The Minecraft Legends release date is April 18, 2023. It will come to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. It will also be a part of Xbox Game Pass at launch. Every week at Siliconera, we've been putting together groups of games you should check out on different platforms. Typically, we try to suggest games beyond the series a company is "best" known for on a particular console. You know, expect horizons a bit. However, when it comes to the PS5, things get a little more difficult! That's because it hasn't been out for as long and people really do need to consider games from Final Fantasy and other series when making decisions. So, here's a general list of Square Enix PS5 games we'd consider among the company's best and recommend looking up if you're looking for something to play.
Best Square Enix Multiplayer Game on the PS5: Final Fantasy XIVIt's FFXIV. Even if Square Enix releases 100 other multiplayer games or ones with cooperative and competitive elements, nothing will beat the thrill of working alongside allies in a raid or facing off in something like Crystalline Conflict. As much as I love the Itadaki Street/Fortune Street series, even those can't compare to this MMORPG.
Best Square Enix Final Fantasy Game on the PS5: Final Fantasy VII RemakeOkay, this is both debatable and in flux. FFXIV is incredible, so it could be in this spot too if you prefer MMORPGs! Also, FFXVI and FFVII Rebirth are heading to the PS5 this year. Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is also a pretty interesting, Soulslike experience. But FFVII Remake is solid, experimental, and has the fun Yuffie Intermission add-on, so let's go ahead and suggest it as the one you'd give a chance for this section for now!
Best Square Enix Action-RPG on the PS5: Star Ocean: The Divine ForceStar Ocean games can be hit or miss! The second and third ones are amazing, but the fourth was only okay and the fifth was downright painful at times. Star Ocean: The Divine Force restored faith in fans by being a return to form for the series. It's a solid installment with enjoyable battles, traveling that feels good when flying through areas, and qualities that make it feel more like the first three games.
Best Square Enix Strategy Game on the PS5: Tactics Ogre: RebornThe explanation for this one doesn't need to be long. Tactics Ogre was amazing when it appeared on the Super Famicom. It was fantastic on the Sega Saturn and PlayStation. It remained amazing when it got ported to the PSP. So of course Tactics Ogre: Reborn is still wonderful.
Best Square Enix Adventure Game on the PS5: Life is Strange: True ColorsThe Life is Strange games are generally thoughtful, emotional experiences, and True Colors is no exception. It's a little shorter than its counterparts and doesn't have as many grand decisions as the original game and sequel, but Alex Chen's story is still worth experiencing.
Best Square Enix Game Based on a Marvel Property on the PS5: Marvel's Guardians of the GalaxyMarvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is a surprisingly solid take on the series! The characterizations are correct. It does offer quite a bit of player-choice when it comes to decisions and guiding missions. It also gets the general ambiance of the movies and comic, especially with a Rick Roll popping up. It's a shockingly good time. As spotted by GameSpot, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum's release window (following a recent delay) has fallen to publisher Nacon's fiscal year 2023-24. The earliest we'll see the slinking character will be April 2023. The news came out of a recent Nacon earnings report. According to the details, LOTR: Gollum is scheduled for a release window of April to September 2023. That's a fairly large window, comprised of five months. And there's no real concrete evidence that the game won't see an additional delay. The release window for Gollum has been pushed more than once before. Initially planned for a 2021 outing, the game got pushed to 2022 with September in the sights. However, it was delayed in July with developer Daedalic Entertainment stating it'll need 'a few months' of additional work before launch. That didn't quite pan out. PC Invasion - FeedDDD Wednesday, January 25, 2023 5:51 PM  Disney Dreamlight Valley is getting more major updates, and some big names are coming to the Disney-themed life simulator game as outlined by a new 2023 roadmap. These free updates will introduce the "exceptionally unexceptional" Mirabel from Encanto and the snowman mascot of every parent's nightmares, Olaf from Frozen. In addition, the Dreamlight Valley 2023 roadmap also reveals multiplayer, potentially allowing you to collaborate with other corporate Mickey Mouse villages. Mirabel from Encanto is an inspired choice, coming from that movie with that character we're not supposed to talk about (even though everyone had). But it's Olaf who will supposedly take center stage as a "huge part of the main story." Details on the story content of the future are slim, but players will supposedly understand more about the events of the Dreamlight Valley and the mysteries surrounding it. This prediction turned out completely accurate, as today's Developer Direct showed a flashy debut gameplay trailer as well as an in-depth look at Hi-Fi Rush in action. This shooter, with a shade of spooky vampires looming over the game, will launch on Xbox and PC later this year. To celebrate this bloodsucking game's upcoming release, the Arkane Austin team released over 10 minutes of gameplay in a new trailer during today's Developer_Direct showcase. In Redfall, you're tasked with taking on a number of missions in this open world, taking down vicious vampires and super bosses to make the world a little less dangerous. You'll live out your vampire-hunting dreams, killing these undead ghouls while solving the mystery of how they came to be in the first place. One of these is called Arc Slice, which causes your character Frey to whip around a fiery sword, devastating surrounding opponents. Forspoken guide: How to upgrade the Arc Slice magic spell The Arc Slice magic spell in Forspoken becomes available once you beat Tanta Sila in Chapter 5. Doing so unlocks Red Magic (i.e., fire) as a skill tree. The default attack for this element is called Slice, which causes your character to swipe foes with a flaming sword by pressing left-click. Arc Slice, meanwhile, can be done by holding the left mouse button. Once you let go, Frey will unleash a fiery blow in a wide arc. Chihaya Mifune is the holder of the Fortune Arcana and a Confidant in Persona 5 Royal. She is a fortune teller with incredible skills, but rumor has it that not everything about her business is legitimate. She is first introduced on 06/22 when you and Ryuji first visit Shinjuku. You can begin her Confidant by visiting her three times and purchasing a Holy Stone for ¥100,000. She is available on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings and can be found at her fortune teller booth in Shinjuku. As with most confidants, there isn't a limit on when you can rank Chihaya up. As long as you achieve Rank 10 before reaching an ending you can complete the Fortune Confidant. Also, at Rank 9 you have the option to romance Chihaya, which changes the dialogue options for the following rank. Something unique to Chihaya is that even though you can only progress her Confidant at night, you can still pay to use her skills during the day. Astroneer has been steadily adding free content ever since it originally debuted back in 2016. While the creative mode focuses solely on sandbox activities, the story mode has also been going strong. Today, however, that story comes to a close. Astroneer is getting the Awakening update, which puts the finishing touches on the narrative. This finale has been a long time coming and has required a lot of digging, building, and oxygen support, but players will get to see how it wraps up with the update's brand new story content as soon as it goes live. The final part of Astroneer's story kicks into gear when an unknown planet shows up. A new character directs players to the Sylva system to investigate the enigmatic addition. This new planet is shown off in the Awakening update trailer, which should whet your appetite before you jump into the new content yourself.
