That's according to a new report, which suggests that the company's new 18A semiconductor manufacturing process is struggling to produce enough usable chips, putting the future of the whole project into question. Intel Panther Lake is the company's future lineup for laptop gaming CPUs, with the chipmaker working on an alternate Nova Lake lineup for its next-gen desktop CPUs. PCGamesN Tuesday, August 5, 2025 10:19 AM There are few games that live in my head rent-free. I often think about Before Your Eyes, a tear-jerking narrative adventure played entirely by blinking. Citizen Sleeper also pops into my head relatively regularly. And then there's Disco Elysium. I've run out of superlatives for Studio ZA/UM's detective RPG masterpiece, but the game has been marred in recent years by explosive divisions within the development team, which has led to the original creators leaving the studio. The true story is far more complex and much of it likely hidden from the public, but, as a result, the Disco Elysium mobile port- which released today with little fanfare - has been met with derision. With the Battlefield 6 release date approaching and one of several BF6 betas on our doorstep, it's time for players to gear up and prepare for what's to come. One of the most important things you can decide on is which class you'll play as in the FPS game - do you want to be all guns blazing, first through the door? PCGamesN Tuesday, August 5, 2025 7:55 AM AMD has quietly announced a new budget-friendly graphics card. Without any fuss, the company has uploaded specs for the non-XT AMD Radeon RX 9060 to its website, with a quick note of its existence also appearing in a recent driver update. However, it looks like it won't be possible to buy it yourself, with reports suggesting that only certain manufacturers of pre-built gaming PCs will have access to it. The Radeon RX 9060 XT is currently our top budget gaming GPU recommendation in our best graphics card guide, and we were expecting AMD to release a non-XT model to compete against the $249 Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050. PCGamesN Tuesday, August 5, 2025 6:23 AM Players are getting excited for a new Battlefield game again. After the misstep that was Battlefield 2042, fans of the FPS series are crossing their fingers that EA can return to form with the new entry. The trailers look good, the gunplay looks meaty, and the environments look like that perfect blend of gritty and tactically challenging. Previews have labelled Battlefield 6 as safe but competent. Having not played it, the response reminds me of The Force Awakens, for any Star Wars fans in the room - it's playing it safe, but doing safe well, in order to get fans back on board after a less-than-stellar previous outing. Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Tuesday, August 5, 2025 11:37 AM ![]() A brace of Silent Hill f reporting has treated us to the first details of the game's combat system. Here are the headlines: counter attacks, weapon degradation and an energy bar that lets you perform power moves and dodge in slow motion. It's apparently reminiscent of Dark Souls in that you have a stamina system and the dodge and counter timing can be tricky - a summary I would say also describes Punch-Out! from 1984, if I wanted to be a snarky little shitlord. There are no guns, just melee weapons that range from scavenged baseball bats to naginata polearms, looted from a spirit world of shrines and masked figures. |

Capcom has opened a new listing for a room lamp modeled after Khezu from the Monster Hunter series on its Japanese e-Capcom website. This lamp will appear in December 2025 at ¥5,500 / $37.25, and people residing outside Japan can also place orders via the WorldShopping widget.
This chibi Khezu lamp will be around 14 cm (~5.5 in) long, with an approximate width and height of 10.5 cm (~4.13 in). The owner will be able to power the lamp with a USB Type-C cable or three AAA batteries.
The lamp will have two light color modes in white and blue. The latter will represent the in-game scenes of Khezu launching an electric attack, but Capcom assures prospective owners that this mode will not electrocute them in any way. The lamp can also turn off the lights by itself after four hours have passed.
These sample images show how the lamp will look like:

It's a Suikoden news day again, thanks to an August 2025 stream from Konami. Two of the updates involved Suikoden the Stage, a stage play based on the first game, and Suikoden the Anime, which is based on the second. Both came up during the May 2025 presentation, and there's new key art for each and release updates.
In the case of Suikoden the Stage, we get key art showing the stage play main characters Tir McDohl, the first game's protagonist, and Gremio. They are played by Naoki Okamura and Takuma Wada, respectively. The last Konami presentation also confirmed Ted will be played by Ryoki Nagae, Flik will be portraoyed by Takeshi James Yamada, and Ryuko Isogai is Viktor. Norihito Nakayashiki is directing the play and wrote its script. That show will run in Tokyo between December 6-14, 2025, according to social media, with the Kyoto performances happening between December 18-21, 2025.
Here's that photo showing Tir and Gremio.

In the case of the Suikoden 2 anime adaptation, there's an updated release window and key art from social media. It will air in Japan in 2026. We don't know which streaming service it might appear on worldwide. Aside from the confirmed debut next year, there's a new key art image for it as well. It showed Riou, that entry's hero, sitting next to a fire with Jowy, his best friend. Their backs are to the viewer. Riou is reaching toward the sky.
Here's that key art.

A week after a Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, the company announced an Indie World Showcase stream will go over new Switch and Switch 2 games on August 7, 2025. This will be a shorter presentation. It will only spend about 15 minutes looking at new titles for both systems. Things start at 6am PT/9am ET.
The placeholder for the showcase stream is already live on the Nintendo YouTube channel. As usual, there are no "tells" in it suggesting what we might see during the presentation. However, we do know that Hades 2 is headed to both systems and recently got its last early access patch and Hollow Knight: Silksong will head to Nintendo consoles. These streams also tend to involve shadowdrops, so we could see games launch on Thursday.
https://www.youtube.com/live/mTv0HmKoUqw
As for that July 2025 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase that preceded the August 2025 Indie Switch and Switch 2 game stream, it focused on third-party titles. A few Square Enix, Atlus, Bandai Namco, and Capcom ones showed up, like Octopath Traveler 0, Persona 3 Reload, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, and Monster Hunter Stories 3. You know those ads you see browsing on social media that show various light logic, puzzle, and action games you can play on a phone or tablet? The ones that claim to increase in difficulty and gauge things like spatial awareness, reasoning, and pattern recognition? Pokemon Friends, the latest spin-off game from Nintendo, hand, Wonderfy, and The Pokemon Works, feels like a compilation of a lot of those types of titles. Except unlike D3 Publisher and Monkeycraft's Yeah! You Want "Those Games," Right? So Here You Go! Now, Let's See You Clear Them!, this is a far more earnest take on the idea.
Pokemon Friends begins with players known for making amigurumi knit plush of iconic characters from the series moving to Think Town. The problem is, while traveling, all of the yarn got tangled up. You need to solve puzzles with Pokemon in order to get rid of the knots and get enough balls, cones, and skeins of wool to start making toys again. Once you do, you can check in with the residents in town to see what sorts of stuffed animals they might want, getting points to unlock more requests and additional calendar stamps in the process.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OoHXLrJHQ7s&pp=ygUPcG9rZW1vbiBmcmllbmRz0gcJCccJAYcqIYzv
The ideal way of playing Pokemon Friends involves following a certain routine. Load up the game. Choose to untangle some threads by going through three random minigames. You don't know which ones you'll get, and higher difficulties will automatically unlock and appear as you clear lower ones. Clearing it within the time limits nets you yarn. You then go to the machine and insert it. If you've been keeping up with playing on a daily basis or performed well enough in that day's minigame to earn higher quality wool, you might even get more skeins or create more than one plush. You can then check friend quests to see if you made stuffed animals that meet requirements, netting you more cosmetic items for your room or calendar. Depending on if you have the base game and add-ons determines which puzzles, amigurumi, and customization items you can get from friend quests.
As you might expect, the minigames play a huge part in how satisfying Pokemon Friends can be, and I've found it isn't about until the fifth level of difficulty that things can start to get challenging. I genuinely find Stamp-n-Roll, which is in the second DLC pack, difficult after you get a few stages in, since you really need to think about where the stamp will appear on the rolling cube quickly. Don't Wake Gengar, from that same add-on, is cute since it involves properly placing lanterns to illuminate every space except the ones where sleeping Gengar are. Both Wooloo's Way Home and Tinkatuff Tunneling both involve a Tinkaton smashing blocks, but you need to essentially use spacial awareness and minimal moves to efficiently work things out. Flight Paths and Magnezone March get great once you have multiple types of Pokemon or groups to get covering spaces. And if you really get into trying to speedrun puzzles, finding out when to switch between touchscreen and standard controls to optimize your time can even be fun.
![]()
![]()
![]()
That said, there are some that feel boring, easy, and perhaps even a little lazy. Find the Froakie involves rotating and… counting Froakies on a platform. Both Shine on Cherrim and Operation: Bath Time are almost identical types of puzzles involving turning angled blockades to hit multiple Pokemon with either light or water. Tricky Triangle and Square Solver are the exact same, only involving "drawing" different shapes on graphing paper with preassigned dots. So while most of the puzzles are fine or even great once you hit the level five difficulty, others are bland or repetitious.
I will say that the customization element isn't all that exciting to me, at least at this point, because Pokemon Friends pretty much involves seeing the plush you make as a commodity. The Friend Quests require them. There are certain percentage odds of getting a character out of the yarn you put into the machine. See, you might find you used a Mimikyu one day for one quest where it was one of multiple characters to meet a requirement. Then the next day, a quest comes up that specifically needs a Mimikyu. And you don't end up seeing another one for five days. And so in the name of never seeing that request haunting you again, you never put any virtual toy on display unless you already have at least two of them, so you can always fulfill any order. (I may have a problem.)
I feel like the more I play Pokemon Friends and unlock higher difficulty levels of its puzzles, the more I enjoy it. It's absolutely simple. Also, imagery aside, some of its puzzles have little to do with the series or characters. Not to mention getting the best scores means playing in handheld mode and switching between touchscreen and standard controls for maximum efficiency. But it is charming, in its way, and I find I had fun with it when I'd play for about 15 minutes each day.
Pokemon Friends is available on the Switch and mobile devices.

The early access build of Titan Quest 2 has some confusing missions to complete, and The Shattered God can be an easy miss if you don't know where to look.
The Shattered God quest isn't part of the main storyline, but there are some cool rewards. If you missed it on your main campaign run, you can always return to complete it later. You'll have to trigger the quest and complete all the tasks to do so.
Table of contents
How to start The Shattered God quest in Titan Quest 2?
You'll see a broken statue staff and an NPC named Iphitos at the marked location on the screenshot below. When you pick up the staff, it says that the item can be reconstructed with the correct parts. Interact with Iphitos to start the quest, and proceed to complete all associated tasks in Titan Quest 2.
![]()
There are three parts to collect:
You can find the parts in any order, but the tail is the first item to go.
Tail

Go to the location marked on the map and find a broken house. You'll find the tail in front of it.
Torso

TEKKEN 8 has had a tremendous showing this past weekend at Evo, revealing the first Armor King gameplay trailer alongside a brand new trailer, with the game dripping with content just under 2 years since release.
At Evo 2025, Destructoid got a chance to sit down with members of the TEKKEN team, including Kohei Ikeda (Nakatsu), Chief Producer and Game Director of TEKKEN 8. Katsuhiro Harada, Producer and Executive Game Director on the TEKKEN Project. And Michael Murray, Producer for TEKKEN 8, and the person who kindly translated for both Nakatsu and Harada during our interview.
We had a lot to ask the team when talking to them about TEKKEN 8, but there was one topic on my mind that I felt compelled to ask. And that was the potential existence of a Tekken Tag Tournament 3 in the future, and if the team would consider making it as the next project after TEKKEN 8.
Harada (as translated by Murray) spoke candidly about the idea of making a sequel to the Tag series and commented on the abundance of tag fighters in the market right now, and why it probably doesn't make much sense to work on a direct sequel to the Tag Tournament series in the current market.
"It's quite difficult because, you know, Tag is something I've always thought of more recently, and [I feel] like it should be some kind of mode within a TEKKEN 9 or 8 or whatever you want to call it."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBjhCpvBtyk&ab_channel=BandaiNamcoEntertainmentAmerica
Upon hearing this, I asked for more clarification on what he meant, asking if, instead of making a Tekken Tag Tournament 3, making it a mode within the mainline TEKKEN games. Murray, translating for Harada again, said about how tag fighters are popular right now, but "if we start now [to make a Tekken Tag Tournament 3] by the time that they're no longer popular, that's when Tag Three would come out" if they hypothetically made the game.
"We have so many more moves than a typical 2D fighter. So much more work is involved in trying to do that with a 3D game...It's probably a ways off if it were to happen, and so probably not in my working lifetime. So that's something that the next generation can decide."
Of course, ending the interview, I wouldn't be satisfied if I didn't ask Harada about TEKKEN X Street Fighter and keep the question tradition alive. So, of course, I asked him, and was surprised to get an answer from Harada about the game.
"It's hard to say if that's even a thing. I mean, it depends on what people are wanting as well. That said, I would like to show people what we already have. That would be cool if we could do that. We were 30 percent into development, so fingers crossed."

Every time a popular game comes out, the hounds are let loose. Copies upon copies start cropping up everywhere and, specifically, appear on Roblox. PEAK, an indie hit, has also been copied on Roblox, and the developers would rather you pirated the original than play the "slop" copy.
The Roblox copy of PEAK, creatively named CLIFF, has cropped up following the indie's massive success and blatantly regurgitates much of the original game. It's also seemingly gotten pretty big on the platform, with PEAK's developers themselves catching wind of its existence. They then issued a kind comment regarding the "game," saying they'd prefer you pirated PEAK to playing this "slop."
"Tbh would rather you pirate our game than play this microtransaction-riddled Roblox slop rip-off," the developers stated on their official X account.
https://twitter.com/AggroCrabGames/status/1952475157433549083
CLIFF, as per the dev's shared screenshot, has already garnered some 160,000 visits, and, with so many microtransactions crammed into it, it's also likely made some good money since PEAK exploded.
This is just one in the sea of blatant copies of original popular games, which are often quickly patched together, released on platforms like Roblox or even the PlayStation Store, all with the goal of making money from the unassuming player.
The player in question is either a kid (as is the case with most Roblox players) or just someone who couldn't afford the original premium product and settled for a free-to-play rip-off on alternative platforms.
And it's getting so bad that you can log into the PS Store right now and be met with countless AI-generated copies of popular titles (or even memes, like those Italian brainrot caricatures), all sold for a buck a pop and probably packed with microtransactions.
So, take the advice of PEAK's devs and avoid this slop. Play real friendslop instead.

A massive kraken nearly destroyed the island in Fortnite, but luckily, the Supernova Squad and Superman himself arrived to stop it. Following this event, there's a massive tentacle that was left behind, which you need to investigate.
This quest doesn't give you any guidance for where to look or how to get it done, so it can be a tricky one to work through. If this task has you stumped, here's how to investigate the tentacle in Fortnite.
Table of contents
Where is the tentacle in Fortnite?
![]()
There's only one tentacle on the island, and it can be found near the east end of Demon's Domain. This tentacle was left here after the massive Super Showdown live event, where Daigo summoned a kraken creature. Superman decimated the creature, but one massive tentacle from it still remains on the island.
Demon's Domain is a pretty large area, so unless you spot the tentacle from the sky while flying down to the island, it can be decently tough to find. It's also purple, which is the same color as the surrounding area.
To find the tentacle, venture to Demon's Domain and make your way east. Head to the small cliff south of the clear lake, right near where the waterfall is pouring into the corrupted, murky waters surrounding the area.
The tentacle is right by the very edge of this POI, so if you're mainly focused on exploring this region, you likely won't find it on your own, as the many jagged cliffs and buildings around the area obscure it from view. You need to purposefully venture to the very end of the region to come across it. Luckily, it's quite large, so once you're within range to spot it, you won't miss it.
Investigate the tentacle in Fortnite
![]()
To investigate the tentacle, you need to approach the massive severed kraken tentacle near the east end of Demon's Domain. As soon as you get close to it, this quest will auto-complete, and you can then move on to tackling other tasks.
For most quests that ask you to investigate something, you have to put in a bit more work after finding the item you need to examine. This one is fairly straightforward once you know where to look, though, so as long as you find the right spot, you're good to go.
The tentacle has started rotting, and some mysterious craters have popped up around it, which are likely tied to the next era. Various new bug creatures have been teased on official Fortnite accounts, so these craters might release new hostile bugs around the island, leading into the main theme of next season.
The next season will arrive quite soon, so before this one ends, make sure you've tackled everything you wish to get done. You may want to learn what happened to Daigo after the live event, complete all Summer Road Trip event quests, hit Spires in different matches, and consume different food or drink items at BURD To Go gas stations.

If you've seen our Type Soul Shikai tier list you'll notice a similar pattern here for Partial Res where Commons and Rares have become quite strong due to the re-release buffs and nerfs. Now with only 1 Partial Res move and the Cero Oscuras cooldown resent it's more important than ever to choose the best Partial Res for your build. Here's my Type Soul Partial Res tier list and best moves for all options.

When it comes to the best Type Soul Partial Res now it's important to note that Hollows/Arrancars have been reduced back to only 1 Partial move. This makes picking the best moves a highly important consideration when picking a Partial Res. This is essentially how I'll rank them as in which ones have the best move to base your build around since you can now reset Partial CD if you land Cero Oscuras (Partial Essence new effect). Let's dive into all Partial Res options below and analyze them individually.

Following Fortnite's main storyline is crucial for understanding what's happening around the island at any given point. Sometimes, though, parts of the story get a bit confusing, as is the case with what happened to Daigo after the Super Showdown live event.
Even if you watched the full live event, you may not be sure what happened to Daigo, since he's only featured in a small portion of it. If you want to ensure you're caught up with the lore before the next season begins, here's what happened to Daigo after the live event in Fortnite Chapter Six, season three.
Table of contents
What happened to Daigo in Fortnite?
![]()
Following the conclusion of the Super Showdown live event, Daigo is free from the dark presence that was controlling him and is back to his old self. He's changed from the Mask Maker Daigo skin back to the classic Daigo skin originally featured in the Chapter Six, season one battle pass.
During the live event, Daigo summoned a massive kraken beast to do his bidding while under the control of the mysterious dark presence. This creature turned against him, though, and whacked him far away. This hit seems to have broken him free from his captor, as he's now back to the old Daigo we all know and love.
Where did Daigo go after the live event in Fortnite?
Daigo was originally smacked away to a nearby mountain by the kraken during the live event, but following the conclusion of the big boss fight, he returned to Demon's Domain. Now, you can find him hanging out in the middle of the area.
The massive building he was previously found inside at this location was destroyed in the live event. Because of this, he now just mediates, hovering slightly off the ground in the middle of this POI. Since he's back to his old self, he won't attack you on sight anymore, and instead only initiates a battle if provoked. He does still hold a powerful Medallion plus some other items, so if you want some of the best weapons and loot you can get this season, it's worth fighting him.
![]()
What happened during the live event in Fortnite Chapter 6, season 3?
If you missed out on the live event and want to understand how Daigo became his old self again and everything else that went down during this epic event, here's a breakdown of everything that happened.
First, Daigo flew up into the sky and harnessed epic powers to summon a massive beast to execute the dark presence's will. As he used his abilities, he completely toppled the central tower that once stood at Demon's Domain.
A large, menacing tentacle covered in glowing yellow eyes then rose out of the nearby lake. Daigo commanded this kraken creature to do his bidding, but it instead smacked him out of the sky, sending him soaring. This is the last we saw of Daigo during the official event, but if you played during it and followed him in replay mode afterward, you can witness him crash-landing on a nearby mountain.
![]()
With Daigo out of the picture, the kraken creature was ready to destroy the island. Luckily, our friends from Supernova Academy, who are also NPCs that can be found around the island, arrived to save the day. A massive boss battle between these NPCs, with all players in attendance fighting alongside them, and the kraken ensued.
Just when it seemed like the creature was finally defeated, it rose up again, even stronger, with three massive tentacles and three full health bars instead of one. The battle began anew, and just when it seemed like all hope was lost, Superman arrived to save the day. He tore the tentacles apart and ripped through all the Overlord Spires and Scout Spires around the island, decimating the creature for good.
A massive piece of the mysterious beast remains on the island, though, and investigating the tentacle is a key quest you need to get done before the season ends. These remains have started rotting and have led to some strange new craters spawning nearby. This will likely lead into the theme of next season, and although the kraken is dead, the dark presence controlling it is alive and well.

Grounded 2's park and locations have plenty of enemies across the map, and you can occasionally come across Snails.
These are relatively safe creatures who don't attack. Sadly, you'll need to take down these gentle beasts for various crafting materials, including their shells. Obtaining any item from Snails is tricky, as they will return to their shells when attacked. The shells don't take any damage, which makes your task harder. Let's find out how to kill a Snail and obtain their shells.
Table of contents
How to kill Snails in Grounded 2?
If you have a buggy with you, order it to stay far away from the Snail. This is to accidentally prevent it from spooking your target. Tread carefully, and land a blow on the Snail. When you do that, it will hide its head in its shell and become immune to all damage.
The trick is to retreat enough that the Snail thinks there's no more danger. Repeat what you did last time, and go back. Once you land enough damage, you'll end the Snail's life. While it can escape damage by hiding in its shell, it can't heal. Hence, all damage counts; all that matters is how many blows you'll need to land.
Ranged weapons have a natural advantage, since you can keep chipping away at the health from a distance. However, melee weapons, especially ones that can land stuns, are highly beneficial and can get the job done faster. Ultimately, you can use any weapon you want, but a ranged tool makes it easier to finish the task. Once killed, you'll get certain resources, which also include its impenetrable shell.
![]()
How to get Snail shells in Grounded 2?
Killing a Snail gets you Garden Snail Slime and Raw Snail Meat. These items can be used in healing and cooking recipes, like the Lingonberry Bandage. If you're lucky enough, you might get a shell, a tier III item. However, the drop is random (at least during my tests), and you'll need a Level III Omni-Hammer, which is done via upgrades.

Grounded 2's early access build has plenty of Unique weapons (Secret weapons) and a bunch of trinkets you can unearth on your journey. Together with trinkets, these weapons pack a punch with additional effects and buffs.
However, these fantastic items aren't found already attached to the weapon, and it's very easy to miss them. You'll need to reach specific locations and then follow a few extra steps to access them.

Strange golden cracks leading to hidden treasures have popped up around your village in Disney Dreamlight Valley. To uncover the special rewards, you need to solve some riddles, including one that says getting warmer, break the ice somewhere frosted.
Like all other riddles featured in the special Treasure Hunt event, this one doesn't really give you enough to work with. It can be quite difficult tracking down the right location because of this, so here's the solution for the getting warmer, break the ice somewhere frosted riddle in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Getting warmer, break the ice somewhere frosted location in Disney Dreamlight Valley
![]()
The solution for this tricky riddle in the Treasure Hunt event is ice found in the Frosted Heights biome. To break the ice chunks that pop up around this biome, you need to take a page out of Kristoff's book and grab your Royal Pickaxe to mine them.
Ice chunks appear as spiky blue masses all around the Frosted Heights biome. There are massive clumps, much larger than your character, and smaller ones that barely reach your knees. The treasure can be hidden in any size ice chunk, so make sure you break all of them to avoid missing your prize.
You might find the treasure chest in the first chunk of ice you break, or it might take several of them to uncover what you seek. If you're having trouble finding it, be sure to look behind any decorations, including buildings, landscaping, and furniture, that you have placed in this area. The ice chunks can spawn anywhere, even in corners you have blocked off, so searching everywhere is crucial to finding them.
In the clue you're given, the word "frosted" subtly points you in the right direction, which is the Frosted Heights biome. Telling you to "break the ice" is also a clue since ice chunks can be found throughout this region. The Frosted Heights biome is the only snowy area you can visit around the valley, so you must explore this area to get the quest done.
![]()
After solving this riddle, there's still plenty of work to get done for the Treasure Hunt event, including more clues and solutions to work through. To recover more clues, you need to find gold treasure cracks.
Some of the other hints you need to solve are tip some purple caps somewhere swampy, beneath coral growth with a dazzling view, under a pile of bone in a sunlit place, don't forget to put out the fires, and somewhere peaceful pickaxe meets rock. Working through at least two clues is crucial for finishing the Expert Treasure Hunter duty.
